Ready to huff and puff and blow the house down? This week's cosmic weather brings a powerful retrograde season that will have us dismantling structures before rebuilding them in more authentic ways. And stay until the end because...Venus!

Saturn retrograde in Aries begins July 13th, inviting us to examine our personal boundaries with fresh eyes. Where have we drawn lines too rigidly, building walls instead of healthy boundaries? Where have we been too permissive, allowing others to encroach on our sacred space? With Neptune traveling alongside Saturn, we may find it challenging to see these boundaries clearly – but this retrograde period offers the perfect opportunity to make necessary adjustments.

What makes this Saturn retrograde particularly significant is its harmonious aspects to both Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. These connections create a unified cosmic message about authenticity and personal power. Uranus supports breaking free from societal expectations that don't serve your true self, while Pluto deepens your connection to genuine personal authority. The message is clear: restructure your life to support who you truly are, not who others expect you to be.

Mercury joins the retrograde party on July 18th in Leo, bringing its familiar communication challenges. But with Mercury forming an exact sextile to Venus in Gemini at the station point, expect a wave of nostalgia – and possibly messages from ex-lovers! Be cautious about rose-colored glasses that make you forget why relationships ended. With Venus simultaneously squaring Mars, these blasts from the past could quickly transform from sweet reminiscence to heated confrontation.

By month's end, we'll have five planets retrograde – Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, Mercury, and Chiron – creating an intensive period of cosmic review. Check where Aries falls in your natal chart to identify which specific life areas need restructuring during this time. Remember that while these retrogrades encourage immediate awareness, they reward thoughtful, deliberate action rather than hasty decisions.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology.
I'm your astrologer, kateLeonard, and I'm excited to

Hi everyone, welcome to theweek of July 13th through July
19th.
Are you ready to huff and puffand blow the house down?

(00:24):
Well, you might want to getready, because we've got a lot
of retrograde and that's goingto bring a lot of taking things
apart before we put them backtogether again this week.
I am talking about Saturn inAries turning retrograde on July
13th and, oh my gosh, that issuch a big, big deal because

(00:49):
he's going to aspect both Uranusthe rebel, and Pluto, the
powerful, huge, gigantic thing.
All right, and then on the 18th, mercury goes retrograde.
Yee-haw, I know we're alllooking forward to yet another
Mercury retrograde, and I mean, the big thing this month is it's

(01:13):
like who's not in retrogradeRight now?
What do we have?
We've got Neptune, pluto, already in retrograde, right?
Saturn turns retrograde thisweek.
Saturn turns retrograde thisweek, mercury turns retrograde
this week, and then, at the endof the month, chiron goes
retrograde.
Wow, I mean, get ready.

(01:34):
This is going to be a big, big, giant deal.
So let's break it down one stepat a time, and there's really
not a whole lot else going on.
You know how we just do thatlittle section of like the other
stuff going on in the sky.
There's not a whole lot, sowe're just going to get right
into the big events.
I do want to thank you all.

(01:56):
My numbers have gone up for thepodcast, which is awesome.
The only reason that mattersyou guys is one I'd love to have
a really thriving communityhere and two, it helps other
people find the podcast and findmy work, which is really
awesome.
So I just want to thank you all.
Thank you for being here, liking, sharing, rating the

(02:18):
podcast in the apps and doingall this stuff.
And yeah, thank you.
All, right, oh, and welcome ifyou're new.
I forgot to say that.
Lots of new people Welcome.
Okay, now I'm for real, gettinginto it.
Okay, let's just start withSaturn.
Right, that's where the weekstarts, on the 13th.
We've got Saturn turningretrograde.
Saturn rules structure,boundaries.

(02:40):
He rules a lot of things.
You know ambition, hard work, the ability to stick to goals.
He rules age in general and oldage specifically, and you know
things like death, duty,responsibility.
Saturn rules a lot, but in thiscase, I think what we're really

(03:02):
looking at is boundaries andkind of how we have our life
structured.
So turning retrograde meanswe're supposed to go back.
I know we've been talking aboutthe Saturn movement into Aries
and sort of really buildingstructures that suit us for us,
putting ourselves first.

(03:23):
But now that he's goingretrograde he wants us to take a
look.
Where have our boundariesloosened up?
Where have we let them go alittle bit slack?
Remember, he's traveling withNeptune.
They're almost conjunct, right,they're within, I think, like a
degree of each other.
They'll hit their exactconjunction next year.

(03:45):
But Neptune makes it hard to seethese things, right, it's
confusion and cloudy vision andthings like that.
So, as we've been already for awhile now working on our
boundaries and setting them, youknow, really so that they serve
us and suit us, we may not haveseen it perfectly, we may not

(04:07):
have gotten it exactly right.
So Saturn going retrograde saystwo things right, look at where
we need to firm up theboundaries and really draw clear
lines so that we're protectingourselves and what matters to us
, because Saturn's still inAries.

(04:28):
On the other hand, it ispossible that we've drawn them
in way too tight or that maybethese are walls that we built in
the past that we can lighten upa little bit.
Neptune being with Saturn isreally good for that, because

(04:49):
while Saturn builds walls andsets boundaries, neptune is the
dissolver, and so he can reallyhelp us when we see that we need
to either lighten something upa little bit we've been too
hardcore or maybe we need totear that wall down altogether.

(05:10):
So I guess what I'm saying iswhether, whatever it is,
adjustments need to be made andSaturn, going retrograde, is
really asking us to examine thestructures of our lives.
And that can even be things notjust like the boundaries that
we set with people, but it canbe the literal the way we have

(05:33):
our life structured.
Are we spending too much timeat work?
Are we not allowing ourselvestime out, you know, to walk in
the sunshine?
Are we not allowing ourselvesenough rest?
Are we putting too much intoother people and not structuring
enough alone time or whateverthat might look like, creative

(05:58):
time?
Right, because again in Aries,it's like what works for each of
us not thinking first aboutother people, and this is really
going to be a week when we areasked to analyze it and firm it
up, rebuild it, whatever thatmeans, okay, so I hope that

(06:20):
makes some sense.
But here's the other thing thisis not just Saturn turning
retrograde, he is making asextile to both Uranus in Gemini
and Pluto in Aquarius.
This is so powerful and ittells us so much about what
we're supposed to be doing.

(06:41):
And remember he's in Aries, mefirst, powerful.
About what we're supposed to bedoing.
And remember he's in Aries, mefirst powerful putting ourselves
in the center front row of ourown lives.
Right, and Uranus is saying howwe structure our lives, how we
set our boundaries, so thatwe're protected, other people

(07:04):
aren't encroaching on us in somewrong way.
I hope that makes sense.
Uranus is saying be authentic, don't worry about how people are
going to think about this oh,my goodness, I'm going to look
all selfish, whatever it is.
Uranus says be authentic andwith that sextile to Saturn,
that energy is flowing well.
And Uranus says be authentic, and with that sextile to Saturn,

(07:25):
that energy is flowing well andUranus is going to help us
really focus on ourselves andreally practice.
You know, step into a spacethat is ours and only ours.
Then we've got Pluto on theother side, in Aquarius, also
making a sextile, and Pluto isabout power, making a sextile to

(07:49):
Saturn in Aries personal power.
How do we step into ourpersonal power, our authentic
personal power.
It's all really sort ofshockingly unified this week as
far as the aspects to Saturn go.
It's about authenticity, personal power and really

(08:11):
structuring our lives so thatthey support who we are and what
we need.
Saturn is also about traditionand old ways of doing things.
So, again, look at traditionsthat you hold or the way that

(08:31):
you've always done things.
Just because you always havedoesn't mean you always have to.
And even if those traditionsand those ways were right at
some point in your time maybethey were never right, let's
face it.
We may have inherited them fromfamily and all kinds of crazy
stuff and they were never evenright for us right.

(08:52):
But even if they were, even if,whatever this means to you as
far as traditions and old waysof doing things, that doesn't
mean they're right now.
And if that's the case, saturnand Aries will bring the courage
to let things go and that Ariesplacement will really sort of

(09:17):
empower us.
Also, uranus and Pluto in themix it's going to really empower
us and give us the courage toreject what doesn't work any
longer.
We get to do that just becausesomething's always been in our
relationship, our family, ourjob or whatever it is.
Look and see where Aries fallsin your chart, because the house

(09:41):
placement is going to give youa big clue about what needs
restructuring right now.
Oh, and, we're going to keepworking on this area,
restructuring whatever it isthat's coming up for us this
week.
We're going to keep working onthis.
Through about, actually, theend of August, saturn will still

(10:02):
be retrograde, but he's goingto go into Pisces on September
1st.
So even though he'll still beretrograde and we will still be
working on restructuring andthings like that, it will go
into a different area of ourlives at that point.
So the stuff that's coming upthis week when the retrograde
starts, we're going to have sometime to work on that.

(10:26):
So when you start feeling it orwhen you know it's like oh, wow
, today Saturn goes retrograde,I've got to go out and like tear
the walls down, right, do it ifyou want to do it and for some
of us it does it comes like aflash.
But Saturn is pretty slowmoving and really pays off to

(10:47):
thoughtful, step-by-step action.
He's the mountain goat whomakes it to the top of the hill,
but it's by one step at a timeclimbing that mountain.
So don't feel like you have torun out, dismantle your entire
life right this week.
Just know that that energy isstarting now.
It's going to go through to theend of August, all right, then

(11:09):
we'll be restructuring in aPisces way so it becomes a
totally different thing at thatpoint.
Okay, now on to the 17th andwe've got Mercury turning
retrograde.
He'll be in Leo.
And you know what?
I'm not going to even go intoall of the Mercury retrograde
stuff.
Y'all know it right.

(11:30):
Stuff's going to go wackadoo.
In fact, this pre shadow, I'vebeen having crazy Mercury snafus
the whole time he's been inpre-shadow and I know I haven't
been alone because clients oh mygosh, a million clients saying
you know already talking aboutthe crazy tech stuff, car stuff,

(11:55):
all kinds of just crazy, crazything.
I have a really good friend whojust bought a new car and it
showed up and there was somekind of problem with the paint
job and she had to not acceptthe car and they have to try to
buff it out.
What are you talking about?
And Mercury's not evenretrograde yet.

(12:17):
So expect all of the normalstuff car trouble, email snafus,
miscommunications of everyconceivable kind, especially the
public ones, because he's inLeo.
Travel plans, delayed techgoing haywire, you know All that

(12:37):
stuff.
Right, just get ready.
Just get ready.
This one's a big one.
But remember Venus.
I know you all like when I doepisodes on Venus.
I should have just said way upfront that I would be talking
about Venus, because I know alot more people would have
listened would have listenedAnywho.

(13:07):
When Mercury turns retrograde,he's going to be in an exact
sextile with Venus in Gemini.
This means a couple of things.
One I think the early part ofthis retrograde story is going
to have a weird kind ofnostalgic feel to it.
It's like think about lookingbehind us, like looking to the

(13:27):
past, but in that sort of warm, fuzzy way, that true nostalgia
where you look back and it's notregret, you know.
It's not like looking behindand being filled with regret
that you shoulda, woulda, coulda, or being totally sad because,
oh, the glory days are over.
Or is that just me, because I'mold?

(13:49):
Anyway, you know what I'msaying.
This is a true nostalgia wherethere's going to be some time
spent, I believe for a lot of us, where we're kind of looking
back with fond, sweet memories.
Look at where Leo, leo andGemini look at where they're at
in your chart, because thatmight give you some hint about

(14:12):
what kind of memories this couldbe about family members, lovers
, just good times with friends.
You know, though, just lookingback and being like, ah, that
was beautiful.
I think there's going to bethat feel for a lot of us at the
beginning at least of thisretrograde, and I kind of love

(14:34):
that.
But let's get to the kind ofmore obvious sort of thing
that's going on here Mercuryretrograde, talking to Venus,
ex-lovers gonna be coming around, oh yeah, oh yeah, no doubt
about it For a lot of people.
Get ready to talk to the exes, right, and Venus is in Gemini.

(14:57):
So it's definitely going to becommunication, the emails, the
texts, the phone calls, thewhatever y'all do.
Now, you know the DMs, I don'tknow Whatever you guys do, some
old lover is going to be doingit for sure it's.
Yeah, it's pretty guaranteed.
Now here's the little problemwith that nostalgia bit and the

(15:20):
old lover bit.
Let's jam these two thingstogether, right.
We're going to be looking back, going oh, wasn't that lovely.
Yeah, old lover calls up texts, does whatever.
You know those rose coloredglasses, you know how, when you
look back, and a lot of the likeminor bad stuff is kind of

(15:41):
faded away and you're like oh,remember when I was in college.
Remember how great it was andwe used to do this and that.
Or remember high school and itwas so much fun.
Yeah, it was also torture, right, when you really stop and
think about it.
But you can get into that weirdnostalgic mood where all you

(16:01):
kind of remember is the heartsand flowers.
Okay, we're talking about thisex-lover thing now.
So this person contacts you andyou kick into that nostalgia
thing.
Here's my little worry.
Like I love the nostalgia thing.
The ex-lover thing just is whatit is.
But smash those two togetherand you could get that.

(16:21):
Oh, remember when I was withhim or her, it was so good.
And remember how we stayed upall night and we talked all
night.
You know how you do that thingand that's all true.
Like it's not, like you'refantasizing.
You really did do that.
But then the next day you werelike screaming at each other.
He wasn't returning your textor you know whatever, whatever
it was, but we're onlyremembering those late night

(16:44):
phone calls.
Yeah, I'm a little worried thatthe ex-lover thing is gonna
coincide with the nostalgia rosecolored glasses and you're
gonna forget about why y'allbroke up in the first place and
it's going to be like we can dothis again.
All right, I think you get mypoint right, and here's what

(17:06):
I've got to say about this thing.
Venus is, at the same time thatshe's making this sextile to
Mercury, retrograde and remember, mercury is retrograde, so keep
that in context.
She's also moving into an exactsquare with Mars.
So it could be that you do thenostalgia thing you let that

(17:30):
person back into your life alittle bit, you suddenly
remember why you hated them inthe first place and then war
erupts.
You see that sequence that I'ma little bit worried about now.
Does that necessarily mean thatyou won't be together?
No, sometimes you have to fightout that thing that broke you

(17:52):
up before, that thing.
That's sort of in the way, right.
Sometimes you have to have theblow up over that thing and then
Mars and Venus turn into thepassionate celestial lovers.
That could happen.
It could Do.
I think that's the likely story.
I wish I could wish that foryou.
All right, I wish I could saythat everybody is going to

(18:13):
reunite and life is going to bewonderful, but I don't think
that's going to be the mainstory.
I think it is much more likelythat somebody's going to come
out from under the rock they'vebeen hiding under and contact
you and you may talk a littlebit, whatever.
And I think that the Mercuryretrograde energy of like weird

(18:39):
communication stuff and Venusmoving into that hard angle with
Mars, I think that's going tobe the energy that wins and I
think you're probably going tolike tell them to go pound rocks
.
That's what I think is going tohappen mostly.
But you never know, you neverknow, and sometimes it's just

(19:01):
nice to have them come out fromunder the rock and grovel a
little so you can look at itthat way too.
That was mean, I'm sorry, Idon't mean to be mean.
Anyway, you know, it's alwaysopen, you know, and it depends
on your natal chart.
If you did, if you missed thatbonus episode that was not this
last one but the one beforewhere we talk about the
importance of the natal chart Ifyou missed that bonus episode,

(19:22):
that was not this last one butthe one before where we talk
about the importance of thenatal chart in making sense of
the weekly astrology.
You really need to look at that, because that could determine
whether you're going to get thegood play out to this
relationship thing or the moreyou know out from under the rock
thing.

(19:42):
Get what I'm saying.
Anyway, I'm wishing the best foreveryone, whatever that is, and
again I just want to thank youso much for being here.
I can't tell you how much youmean to me.
If you want to talk to me, goover to my sub stack.
