Ready for a break from eclipse season? This week offers respite from those dramatic cosmic events, but don't get too comfortable—the stars are serving up a challenging T-square formation instead!

The cosmic triangle forming between Mercury in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, and Chiron in Aries creates a week of magnified energies that demand thoughtful navigation. Jupiter, often considered astrology's great benefic, takes on a different role here—expanding everything it touches to potentially overwhelming proportions. Your brilliant ideas might suddenly feel too big to implement, while communication turns forceful as Mercury squares Jupiter. Meanwhile, old wounds surface with painful intensity as Jupiter squares Chiron in Aries, particularly traumas connected to your sense of self and ability to stand your ground.

This isn't the week to wing it. I'm sharing strategies to prepare for these energies now—identifying your support systems, creating boundaries around vulnerability, and establishing self-care routines before intensity peaks. The good news? Unlike eclipse energy, this isn't fated or unavoidable. With awareness, you can work with these currents rather than against them. Plus, relief arrives October 6th when Mercury enters Scorpio, bringing deeper perspective and genuine healing opportunities.

I also touch on Venus meeting the South Node in Virgo on October 2nd—a day when exes might resurface or relationships reach natural conclusions. Understanding where these transits activate your personal chart helps you navigate with greater confidence and clarity. Let's harness these challenging energies for meaningful growth rather than unnecessary drama!

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology.
I'm your astrologer, kateLeonard, and I'm excited to
explore the stars with you.
Hi everyone, welcome to theweek of September 28th through
October 4th.
And the good thing about thisweek no eclipse, yay, how great

(00:28):
is that?
The not as good thing is wehave a major t-square happening
and that is some tense kind ofenergy.
Let's talk about it, okay.
So all week long, just straightout of the gate and through the
whole week, um, we've got thist square.
That's a triangle formed by twosquares.

(00:52):
We know those are tense energyand an opposition, and well,
that's an opposition, right?
So that's what we got going on.
We've got Mercury in Librasquaring Jupiter in Cancer.
Then that Jupiter in Cancer isgoing to square Chiron in Aries.

(01:14):
The opposition is betweenMercury and Aries.
So you really really want tolook at your chart and find
Libra, cancer and Aries.
Those are the houses that aregoing to be impacted most.
So to really make sense of thisinformation, it's best to have

(01:39):
those house topics in mind whilewe're talking about it.
Okay, now, what I'm not talkingabout this week but I want to
give you just a little bit of aheads up is on October 2nd,
we've got Venus meeting up withthe South Node at 16 degrees.
Virgo South Node is aboutletting go.

(02:03):
It's about the past, what usedto be or what we should put in
the past, all right.
So what is this energy going tobring up?
Breakups, yep, you're going tobreak up with something.
Now, that's not the only thingit means, but that's a pretty
main signification.
The other thing it could bringabout is exes, exes.

(02:27):
Again.
Where's Virgo in your chart?
Is this relatives you haven'tseen in a long time, a boss that
you used to work for?
For a lot of us, it's going tobe ex-lovers, but it can also be
ex-friends or whatever.
The other thing that it can beis old addictions.

(02:50):
Venus rules indulgence to someextent, and definitely she rules
things like sugar cravings Allright.
So the good news is, if this ishitting in your sixth house,
which is physical health, youmay be breaking up with a sugar

(03:10):
craving, all right.
So it's either going to bringup things from the past or
expect to be doing some breakingup because the south node in
Venus.
I'm telling you that's what I'mexpecting.
Anyway, as I said, this is notthe thing I'm talking about,
this thing that I just went onabout for a really long time.
I'm talking about the T-square,so let's get into that.

(03:33):
So I know everybody who listensto me or who studies astrology
we all know that Jupiter is thegreater benefic and you know how
I always say like yeah is thegreater benefic.
And you know how I always saylike yeah, he's almost always
really good, almost yeah, in atense aspect or a bad placement.

(03:54):
I really don't love Jupiter allthat much.
What he does is make things big.
He expands things right.
So I do medical astrology.
There are a lot of things thatcan be going on in your body
that you don't want made bigger, right, like think your weight,
think tumors.
There are just a lot of thingswe don't want to make bigger.

(04:14):
So in these tense aspects thatwe're getting this week, let's
not think of him as like theblessings bringer.
Let's think of him as the godof making everything big.
So let's talk first about thesquare he's making to Mercury.

(04:36):
What's Mercury?
Our mind, our communication,primarily, that's what we're
talking about this week.
So expect grandiose thoughtsand I will tell you as we're
leading into this.
I'm already starting to see thiswith a lot of my clients who
have these gigantic ideas forwhat they want to do in some

(05:01):
area of their life.
Gigantic ideas, and they're notnecessarily bad.
But when we probe them inconversation and it'll be like,
okay, kind of, how are you goingto do that?
Or what's the first step, I getcrickets like crickets because
they're big.
They're too big, almost right,so Jupiter can do that.

(05:22):
Just make us unrealisticallybig, like I'm going to go out
and save the world tomorrow andthe problem is we're going to
believe it.
These are our ideas and they'regoing to get all gigantic and
out of control and we're goingto be all gung-ho for them and
all of that.
And, yeah, they're too big, right, we're biting off more

(05:46):
than we can chew and the problemwith that is that always brings
a kind of letdown ordisappointment after.
So, yeah, that.
Now the other thing, thecommunication piece.
Yeah, we might just be poppingoff to some people this week, so
getting way too forceful inwhat we've got to say, way too

(06:08):
adamant about things, justgetting in people's faces kind
of.
And it may be because we'retrying to communicate this
grandiose idea and we're justgonna like no, it will work, you
must do it, whatever, okay.
So just think about thosemercurial topics, and I think
this week we're mostly talkingabout our ideas and our

(06:31):
communication.
So what do we do?
Try to take a minute beforejust yelling some idea for the
82nd time into somebody's face.
Right, maybe, take a minute.
The problem is with Jupiter andMercury.
Mercury likes to be active, right, he's very active.

(06:52):
And with Jupiter involved, thechances that we're going to, you
know like, decide to sit it out, take a minute, give it a
second.
Yeah, the chances aren.
We're gonna.
You know like, decide to sit itout, take a minute, give it a
second.
You know the chances aren'tgreat.
So just expect that you'regoing to be doing some damage
control after and that we mightgo through some disappointments
because we have these brilliant, giant, amazing ideas that we

(07:15):
have to tone down or let go ofor whatever.
So that's one leg of thetriangle.
Then we've got Jupiterconnecting up with Chiron, the
wounded healer.
Chiron almost always connectsto early childhood trauma, but

(07:35):
it can be trauma in general.
Past hurts just those woundsthat we carry with us.
So Chiron is in Aries.
Aries is the me sign, myindividuality, my ability to
defend myself, but in myself.
But in this case, I think, ifwe all think back to whatever

(08:01):
kind of emotional or otherwounds that we carry that have
to do with us being silenced orbeing told that we're not enough
, or times when we were sooverpowered one way or another
that we weren't able to defendourselves, and so it kind of

(08:23):
injured our sense that we arestrong enough to stand up for
ourselves and be our ownprotectors.
Think of those kinds of issuesand what kinds of trauma you may
be carrying around, thoseissues of individuality, even
things like being shamed for whoyou are because you don't fit

(08:44):
into all the molds correctly.
Those kind of wounds might befeeling really big this week.
All right, so not only maythese old wounds be coming up,
but in that square to Jupiterthey're going to feel big.
And I'm not saying they're notbig.

(09:06):
Please do not hear that in whatI'm saying, because I don't
want to minimize in any wayanybody's trauma.
But there is a way that we canget so hyper, focused on them or
whatever, that they becomebigger.
So that kind of thing could becoming up for this week, and

(09:28):
that one is the one more thanthe other, more than these
grandiose ideas that we mighthave to tone down or whatever
this one with chiron.
I really, really don like.
I don't like it at all.
So what I want to say toeverybody take care of yourself,
this sense that you cannot beyour own defender.

(09:49):
It may be true to some extentthat may have gotten broken in
you somewhere along the way, butif at all possible, defy that.
And if that's not where yourtrauma is, if that's not how it
shows up, absolutely be your owndefender, and by that I mean
take care of yourself.
If this stuff is coming up bigfor you, who do you go to?

(10:13):
Do you have a therapist, aspiritual leader, a mentor, a
life coach, a best buddy?
Who do you have?
Your mom, you know?
Who do you have that you can goto and lean on, do that thing?
Or are you one of those peopleand I know people like this, in

(10:33):
fact, my daughter is kind of oneof these people who really,
when things hurt bad, they justneed some alone time, and in
Aries that would make a lot ofsense, right?
Aries likes alone.
So if you need some time alonewhere everybody's out of your
face, out of your space, take it, give it to yourself and reach

(10:57):
out for help.
If you need it, go to thepeople that you can lean on,
because Jupiter, you know, trauma is what it is, it's not
like, it's not bad enough, andthen Jupiter comes into it and
it just makes it look bigger orseem bigger.
So be aware of that.
If you can talk yourself down, maybe starting even now, just

(11:19):
prepping, like you know what, Iknow what my issues are.
I know that next week's energyis really intense and it's gonna
make things big, magnify things.
I can handle this and here'swhat I'm gonna do Set your
strategies ahead of time so thatyou don't have to think them up
in the moment.

(11:40):
So if you're feeling hurt andvulnerable and scared, or
whatever it is that comes up foryou, you won't have to stop and
go.
What do I do?
You're going to already havethe plan in place, right?
So when you're hearing me, yeah, as soon as you're done
listening to the podcast, go dosome journaling.
If I start feeling vulnerable,I'm going to call my friend and

(12:03):
I'm going to take a day off workand I'm going to what?
Make a plan, because that wayit'll kind of be on autopilot
for when you need it.
All right Now.
Just to add the I don't evenwant to say frosting on the cake
.
The energy's tough this week.
It really is.
I do want to just make an asidehere.
Sorry to digress, but it'stough this week, but not in that

(12:27):
explosive, faded kind of stuffthat comes with eclipses.
So while I'm bringing this up,I know how negative this sounds,
I really do, and I don't lovethe energy.
I really don't.
But it's not that same kind ofthing that we've been going
through, where it's like boom, eclipse, life changing whatever,

(12:48):
and faded, so very heavy andvery unavoidable.
This is energy we can work with.
It's not fun, it's not flowingwell, but it's also not like you
know, the gods are throwinglightning bolts at our brains,
okay?
So I do want to make thatdistinction because I don't want
it to sound just like wow, giveme, take me back to eclipse

(13:10):
time, right?
So the last leg of this triangleis the Mercury-Chiron
opposition.
Keep in mind this is allhappening at one time.
It's not like one happens thenthe other, then the other.
This is a triangle.
They're all existing at thesame time.
So Mercury is all expanded byJupiter and Chiron is all

(13:35):
expanded by Jupiter, and at thesame time we've got a face-off
between Mercury our minds, ourthought, our communication and
Chiron.
So we may be really in ourheads all right where we're just
like kind of going a littlechaos in the brain, if that

(13:58):
makes sense, because we're goingto be overthinking the trauma
that's coming up for us, we'regoing to be obsessing, we're
going to be all over it.
Does that make sense?
Because our brains are going tobe super active anyway,
depending on how you processthings.
I know a lot of people like thelast thing they want to do is

(14:22):
run around talking to peopleabout their past traumas.
But some people like you knowme, for example some people the
way they process difficultthings is to talk.
They have to talk them out.
So you could find that you arerunning all over the place

(14:44):
telling everybody that you knowabout the trauma.
Like I need to talk to you, this happened, it's really up
for me, oh my gosh.
And then you go to the nextperson and you're doing it again
and next and the next.
I'm not saying don't do that, but on the other hand, I know I
have shared personal things withpeople that I really shouldn't

(15:06):
have.
You know, like, do you reallywant to tell your boss about
your trauma?
Your colleague, your dentist?
I don't know, you know it's we.
Probably.
Once we get out of this extremeenergy this week, we're probably
not going to love it that wewent all over the world telling

(15:28):
you know the grocery store clerkabout what happened to us when
we were seven and we werebullied on the playground.
It just can feel bad for usafterwards.
So again I would say prep forthis coming week.
If my old stuff comes up, whoam I going to talk to?
Am I only going to talk to mytherapist about it?

(15:51):
That's safe and contained.
Do I have a spiritual advisor?
Is my best friend, my shoulder, that I go to?
Or maybe start a journal orhave a special place waiting in
your journal where you can likejust throw it all into the page
right, just kind of like vomiton the page and get it out there

(16:14):
.
Planning ahead for this comingweek and sort of picking your
tools and strategies I think isgoing to be really, really
helpful.
Now I don't want to leave youon like boy.
Life sucks, huh.
As soon as Mercury moves out ofthis opposition, as soon as this

(16:36):
triangle gets broken apart,we're going to be in much, much
better shape.
So on October 6th, mercury isnot only going to be out of the
T-square, but he's going tocross over into Scorpio.
Scorpio is deep emotions.

(16:57):
Right, our mind is going to nowhave the time to kind of deep
dive what we went through, kindof sort it all out, think about
it without Jupiter blowing stuffup, without Chiron being right
there nagging at us.
Right, we're going to have sometime that we can really go deep

(17:19):
into ourselves and just sortthrough it and get some
perspective.
And when that comes, healingbecomes available.
Because Chiron is not a bad guy.
Right, chiron is the woundedhealer.
We're not left with Chiron inthe depths of our trauma.

(17:42):
We just need to get out of thatT-square so that we can move
into the healing part andactually have it become
empowering.
I know it's hard to imagine, butat least move into that healing
part.
And I love it that Mercury ismoving into a water sign.
Let the healing begin.

(18:02):
So this is not for nothing.
It's not for nothing.
And even the overblown ideas, the Mercury-Jupiter bit, it's
not necessarily true that thatidea that we have, that we're
trying to communicate loudly andforcefully, it's not
necessarily true that all of itis bad.

(18:25):
You know it's not that we'vejust gone wackadoo and you know
we got to toss the whole thing.
It's probable that when we canthink a little bit more clearly,
come a little bit down to earth, that we're going to be able to
find the gems, find what wewant to keep from that big,

(18:46):
grandiose plan that we had right.
So this week is just this week.
I really suggest you do alittle bit of planning.
Believe me when I say what'scoming up.
Don't forget about those X'sand things too.
You might want to get ready forthem too, but you might want to
do a little bit of planning, get your resources sort of lined

(19:06):
up, just in case some of thisstuff happens hard for you.
You're kind of ready to go andjust hold on, because the
healing and rational thinkingand intuitive awareness all of
that's coming really soon.
So I wish I just had happinessand flowers and sugar and
sunshine to share with you thisweek.

(19:28):
Not quite yet, but it's not allbad either.
Right, it will lead to healing,it will lead to better days.
So that's what I've got.
I didn't thank you at thebeginning.
Thank you so much for beinghere.
You guys know I'm just alwaysso grateful, right?
I'm not running any specialsright now, but my prices are

(19:51):
gonna go up just a little bit inJanuary.
So I am suggesting to everybodyget on the calendar, because
prices are going up just alittle bit.
So, with all of that said, thank you all.
I'm so grateful you can find meover on Substack.
Talk to me there.
And yeah, until next week, goout and seize the energies of

(20:16):
the stars.
This is my wish for you always.
I'm sending you all the bestfor next week.
Okay, bye.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
