Welcome to PiscesMoon Astrology!

A cosmic standoff between Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius reaches its climax during the week of April 20-26, marking the final chapter in an intense celestial story that began last November. This opposition represents a powerful clash between our need for personal recognition and the demands of collective power—a battle that will play out differently for each of us depending on which houses these planets occupy in our birth charts.

Mars, positioned in regal Leo, fights with nobility for what we rightfully deserve—recognition, sovereignty, and personal power. Meanwhile, Pluto in Aquarius claims to represent "the greater good," often using manipulation while advocating for collective needs. The Sun forms a T-square with these two powerhouse planets, illuminating this tension with sometimes uncomfortable clarity.

Whether this manifests as workplace battles over who deserves credit, relationship struggles between personal needs and partnership demands, or other life areas where individual desires meet collective expectations—the theme remains consistent. Unlike other challenging aspects where avoidance might be wise, this final Mars-Pluto opposition represents a necessary confrontation.

Finding balance between these seemingly opposing forces is the true path forward. How can you claim your rightful recognition while still honoring the bigger picture? How might you stand firm in your power while acknowledging collective needs? Rather than counting to ten or walking away, the cosmic advice is clear: fight this battle with honor and integrity, keeping your punches above the belt. This isn't a conflict to avoid, but a necessary step in your evolution.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology.
I'm your astrologer, kateLeonard, and I'm excited to
explore the stars with you.
Hi everyone, welcome to theweek of April 20th through April
26th.
I'm calling this the week oftense, hot power and I'm not

(00:28):
even giving dates this week tofocus on, because what we're
talking about is going to takeup the entire week and even
moving a little bit into thefollowing week, and it's a big
big deal.
We're talking about the finalopposition of Mars and Pluto
Yikes right, the two bigwarriors opposing each other in

(00:51):
the sky.
We've been through it twicebefore Get ready.
So, before I get into theastrology for the week, I would
like it so much If you wouldfollow, like, share, this
podcast.
I'm really trying to get thosenumbers up there.
I've got big plans for once.
We hit a certain size audienceand I'd love to get there, and I

(01:14):
can only do that with your help, but otherwise, just sit back,
listen, and I'm grateful for youbeing here.
Let me give you some otherimportant things happening this
week, because, while the MarsPluto opposition is by far the
biggest energy and what we'regoing to be focused on, I think
mostly there are some otherthings going on On the 23rd.

(01:37):
We've got Venus moving, directmeeting the North Node of
Destiny.
Now we've been through thisconjunction before.
I've talked about it a lot.
This is the final pass.
This is faded love, inspiredart, creative ways for making
money and things like that, because, remember, venus is

(01:59):
connected to all the good stuffin life, right, but I think
mostly we're going to seecreativity and love and this is
going to have a karmic intensityto it.
So that's a good thing.
Going on this week, right,we've got soul unions coming up.
Whatever big love stuff hasbeen going on with you or Venus

(02:22):
stuff, money, art, you know allthe stuff unions of all kinds,
partnerships, whatever's beengoing on during this Venus
retrograde cycle.
This is going to be the finalbig bang of it, because this is
when she is crossing the NorthNode of Destiny for the last
time, and actually I thinkthat's the only other thing I'm

(02:43):
going to talk about this week.
If you're into the horoscopeswith the W over on Substack,
jackie and I are stillcollaborating on that, so you
can go over and check that outthere if you want the sexy,
spicy side of things.
But other than that, let's getinto this T-square.

(03:04):
First, the opposition betweenMars, the warrior god in Hot,
hot, leo, and Pluto, the god ofthe underworld, in Aquarius.
It goes exact by degree on the26th.
But, like I said, this is hugeenergy and we're going to be

(03:24):
feeling it all week To just getthe week started right and give
us a big kabang right from theget-go.
We've got the sun also in themix and we're going to have
what's called a T-square.
A T-square is two squares thoseare very tense aspects,
connected by an opposition, andthat's exactly what it sounds

(03:46):
like it's an opposition.
So we've got Mars and Plutomaking the opposition leg of
this T-square and they areconnected by the sun, hot, fiery
ruler of Leo, where Mars is thesun.
So what is this?
This is tension.

(04:09):
This is difficult energy that'snot flowing smoothly, right,
and it is hot, with both the sunand Mars involved in Leo, right
, a fire sign, fixed fire.
So it's like burning intenselyin one space in our lives and
that is opposing Pluto, which isthe opposite of all of this and

(04:31):
a heavy hitter, a slow planetthat brings power and might and
a fight for control.
It's a big deal in the sign ofAquarius the future, the people,
science, technology, all ofthat kind of stuff.
Right, it's big.

(04:52):
I do want to say a thing herewhat this is going to mean to
the world, to politics, powerfighting between countries and
within countries.
I'm really looking at the USchart and there's all kind of
stuff going on at the same timeas this really difficult
opposition.
What it's going to mean on theworld stage is scary, but I'm

(05:16):
not going to go into it here.
So the good news is I'm notgoing to go into it here, but
it's different.
That level of like war energyis different than how we're
going to experience it on apersonal level.
The reason I'm saying all ofthis is you're probably, if you
follow astrology and I assumeyou do, or you wouldn't be here

(05:37):
you're going to be hearing somehardcore, heavy duty stuff about
this week and, yeah, it's alltrue, but it's going to be
different to us as individuals.
So keep that in mind, eventhough the opposition between
Mars and Pluto is actually thebiggest thing.
But I don't want to gloss overthe fact that the Sun is

(06:00):
involved, especially for thefirst half of the week.
Think of the sun as shininglight on this power struggle,
but not in a comfortable, easyway, right, because it's shining
its light through that squareangle.
So we're going to havevisibility, but we may not like

(06:21):
what we're seeing, okay, andwhatever this power struggle is
okay, keep in mind.
At least we won't be fightingin the dark, which I guess we'll
take whatever gifts we can get.
The sun is also more favorableto Mars.

(06:44):
Mars is in Leo, so that squareis not so challenging because
the sun is hosting Mars in a way.
Right, that's good.
Except Mars is hot, leo is hot,the sun is hot, right, so we've

(07:05):
got a lot of fire here.
I think passions are going to berunning high, and I don't mean
passions like in the bedroom, although maybe.
But if so, there's going to bea power struggle there, so not
as great.
I mean anger and justwhatever's coming up in all of
this fiery mess.
This week it's going to be hot, heated, explosive Think of

(07:28):
those kind of words right?
Also, the sun is involved, youknow, because it's forming this
T-square.
The sun is part of this wholedynamic and the sun is our ego.
It's where we want to be seenout in the world.
So I don't mean ego in the mostnegative sense of the word,
like oh, you're an egomaniac, orsomething like that, although

(07:52):
this week some people may bebecause of all that fire and all
this power and all thisfighting right, but in general
the sun is not ego in thenegative sense.
It's just literally where wewant to be known, how we want to
be recognized.
It's that place where we wantto stand in the spotlight.
So expect for whatever's comingup to have to do with your ego

(08:19):
and how, like your publicpersona.
All right, that may be a bigfactor or a big force piece of
this power play.
Okay, so now the opposition.
First, to get a sense of what'sgoing on, think back to the
first two passes.
All right, on November 4th 2024, oh yeah, the day before the US

(08:45):
presidential election.
Remember that day in the beforetimes, mars was in Cancer,
opposing Pluto in Capricorn.
Then, on December 31st 2024, itmay have been January 1st for a
lot of you I am speaking in andfrom Pacific time, so there may

(09:09):
be a little bit of a difference, like a one-day difference for
some of you, but in my time, onDecember 31st Mars, remember
that eternal retrograde of Mars.
All of this has been part ofthat story.
At that point, mars was in Leoand he was opposing Pluto in

(09:31):
Aquarius, and that's where theyare for this opposition.
Think back.
So, again, that was November4th and December 31st and we're
going to have the final pass ofthis opposition on April 26th.
Okay, so those are allconnected.
Think back to those other twodates.

(09:52):
What was going on for you.
Look up those weeks in yourjournals and your calendars and
wherever you keep all of thatstuff, because I don't know if
you're like me, I can't rememberthis morning very well, but
anyway, look back and whateverwas coming up for you, whatever
was going on, and you can reallythink back to the whole Mars
retrograde to some extent, because this is all part of this

(10:14):
picture.
Okay, so let's get back into it.
Oh, and always look to seewhere these signs are in your
natal chart.
That's where you're going to befeeling this most intensely.
That is always the case.
If you're still unclear abouthow to do that or how to make
that all work, first, in my substack, for free, I've posted

(10:40):
again the houses and what theirmeanings are.
You could go look at that.
Otherwise, book an appointment.
I promise you'll understand howto do all of this when you're
done with the first appointment.
All right, so what is theMars-Pluto opposition going to
be bringing up.
It's interesting because Marsin Leo, leo's gregarious, right,

(11:01):
he's royalty.
There's something sort of nobleabout Leo when we're getting
the best, but he's also possiblya bully and in some ways, even
though he's very gregarious,he's also solitary.
In a way, he's royalty, he'slike the king.
There's only one king, right.

(11:22):
So we've got this fiery warriorenergy of Mars and I do think
we're going to be getting thegood side of Mars.
Okay, mars is either the noblewarrior or the psycho killer.
You hear me say it all the time.
Mars came out of cancer, wherehe was miserable.
He's now in hot, fiery Leo,where he's way more comfortable

(11:44):
because he's hot and fiery.
So I think we're going to begetting the best of Mars, but
he's still a warrior and, youknow, fighting for our place in
the sun, fighting for our ownroyal status in some ways right.
Then we've got Pluto.

(12:05):
You know, what do you say aboutPluto?
I'm not going to go into thePersephone myth because I know
it's very triggering, but Plutois about power and control.
So you already see Mars inRoyal Leo wanting to be on the
throne himself.
He's not going to mesh wellwith Pluto, who is only about

(12:27):
power and control.
Really, right, he is the god ofthe underworld and he will do
whatever it takes.
He's ruthless, he's not.
Yeah, he's ruthless.
Think of the Persephone myth.
You know what I'm talking about.
And he's the dark side.
But what's interesting is he'sin Aquarius, which is the sign

(12:50):
of the people.
It's a humanitarian sign.
Right, you got Mars over therein that kind of solitary
position but gregarious, in Leo,and you've got Pluto in
Aquarius, which is veryhumanitarian and of the people.
Except Aquarius is the mostaloof sign in the zodiac.

(13:14):
Aquarius wants to do goodthings for all, but doesn't
necessarily want to be your bestfriend and snuggle buddy.
Okay, so there's something weirdright there, you know.
Are we leading a noble causefor ourselves?
Is it about where I stand inthe spotlight, or are we power

(13:40):
to the people?
Somehow these two things arefacing off.
But it's more than that.
If that doesn't resonate withyou, think of it as your kind of
individual.
Need Mars to stand in your ownpower, claim your power and have

(14:00):
sovereignty over yourself.
Right To control yourself andown yourself in a way, right
Against Pluto, he rules akingdom.
Right, he rules the underworld.
So it's much more about usfighting the powers that be.

(14:21):
Does that make sense and beaware that in this case, the
powers that be might bemanipulative saying like no,
you're being selfish.
Leo, right, mars in Leo.
You're being selfish, you wantthe glory for yourself.
I'm trying to do what's rightfor everybody.

(14:41):
Think about this in a workenvironment.
That would be, if Pluto is inmaybe your 10th house.
It would be your boss.
Like, you're trying to grab theglory on this thing, this
project, whatever it is, and I'mtrying to do what's right for
everybody.
And you're like no, in thiscase, I did this, this is my

(15:03):
contribution and I want theglory for it.
Make sense?
Same thing let's talk about andI'm not going to go through all
the signs.
I know you want me to.
I don't have time, I can't andI'm sorry about that.
I am trying to get there, butI'm not there quite yet.
Let's talk about, though, ifPluto, aquarius, is over in your
seventh house, you know yourpartner might be saying

(15:25):
something like you're makingselfish demands.
What I'm fighting for is thegood of our relationship.
And you're like no, no, no, no,in this case, I want what I
want.
I want credit for what I'vedone.
I want things to go my way andyour partner is like that's
selfish, right?

(15:45):
I think that kind of thing isgoing to be coming up.
It's like the war between whatis right for some bigger picture
sense of it, and there's goingto be some other who claims to
be fighting for that, againstyou, trying to get what you

(16:05):
believe you deserve.
Does that make sense?
I know it's a little bitdifficult, but it's very, very
big.
It's going to last for a while.
So I'm trying to give youenough info that, whatever this
is for you, you can kind of wrapyour head around it.
Ultimately and this is trueanytime we have signs in.

(16:27):
I mean, this is like obvious, right, we have planets in
opposing signs, but what'simportant to keep in mind is, in
astrology, yes, we do look atit as like opposing signs, but
we also look at it as an axis.
These opposing signs are notunrelated to each other.

(16:49):
They're like equal and oppositecomplements.
The truly best answer towhatever we're going to be
engaged in this week is going tobe to find the middle ground.
I do believe that our Mars is alittle bit I want to say more

(17:09):
honorable, but that's probablynot exactly right.
I don't want to think that eachof us is out there not getting
the recognition that we deserve, but ultimately, the best, the
truly most noble answer to this.
Whatever struggle, fight, tension, war we're in, the best

(17:34):
answer is going to be to findthe middle ground.
How do I get what I deserve inthis situation?
And still, you know, meet youhalfway, pluto, and say, yes,
whatever is going on over therein that opposite house, let's go
back.
Let's go back to that workanalogy.

(17:57):
Yes, I want credit for myproject, I want credit for this
amazing thing that I did right,or the work that I've been doing
here.
But how do I also honor theteam right?
How do I also bring in thatother side, that Aquarian side?

(18:18):
Or how do I now take this thingthat I've launched, that I got
credit for, and now expand it sothat it's sort of bigger than
me and will be a good thing forthe company, the unit, the team,
whatever moving forward, andapply that to any situation,

(18:38):
right?
Seventh house relationships yes, I have my needs met and I'm
getting credit for what I havedone for this relationship or
contribute or whatever it is.
But how do I also honor thatAquarian side, that opposing
side in this case and find a wayto now do what's right, moving

(19:03):
forward for the partnership, forour relationship.
And that would be the same inany of the houses.
It's an interesting one to thinkabout for the sixth and twelfth
houses.
The sixth house is physicalhealth, for example.
It's many things, but one ofthe things is physical health.
The twelfth house is mentalhealth, and again it's many

(19:26):
things.
So I want to honor my physicalhealth routines.
I want to exercise and eatright and do all the stuff.
But how do then I sort of lookahead and say, how do I also
bring my mental health into thispicture?
Okay, I've got my physicalroutine where Mars is right, I'm

(19:50):
all fired up and I'm workingout at the gym and I'm doing all
of that.
But the 12th house is aboutmental health and it's about
solitude and quiet time.
How do I also now honor that?
Do you see what I'm saying?
So I really think that findingthat balance between the two is

(20:11):
important, but I think that thatrests on us getting the
recognition in whatever houseLeo is in.
I don't think the two houses areequal in this one, and you
won't find me saying that often, but I do think ultimately we're

(20:31):
headed for balance.
So I hope that is helpful, andI am not going to end this time
by saying count to three or anyof that, because this is a fated
battle.
It's one of three times thatthese two planets meet up and
oppose each other, and so I'mnot going to say count to three,

(20:51):
because I think this is a fightthat needs to be fought and
from this one, this final bout,we move forward All right.
So I think it's an importantweek of challenge, but I'm not
going to say count to three.
I'm going to say keep yourpunches above the belt and fight

(21:12):
with honor.
I hope that's helpful and Ihope your week is productive,
honorable, I don't know.
I hope your week is somethinggood and with that, until next
week, go out and seize theenergies of the stars.
This is my wish for you always, and I will see you on the other

(21:33):
end.
Bye.
