A podcast about the mid-life & times of an aging metalhead & his stupid love of live (heavy) music. I'm too old, it's too loud & I don't care. Your host Tor Hansen tells stories from Yesterday& Today (Y&T pun intended). Every episode brings an album of the week and a review of the concerts he's been to. It's almost always Metal, or Hardcore, or Metalcore, or Metallic Hardcore , you get the idea. Plus if you aren't about the metal but like the stories we have a special segment for you. Bangers for Beginners brings you one song every week that is hand-picked to start you on your own journey towards Metalhead...dom. There's some parenting stuff, some coming-of-age stuff, and lots of heavy music stuff. So pull up beside Tor at the edge of the pit and enjoy the show.
This episode is pretty boiler plate, Chart Chuggers, Concert Calendar and an exciting (for a moment) new frontier for the podcast. I misuse words and say a lot of things.

Hello, It seems to be a summer of lists here at the Pisdcast. This one is a bit different in execution from the last one. This week we’re bringing in a guest DJ with a familiar voice to help us build the ultimate bonfire of bangers to inspire you to get out and punch Nazis, tear down the establishment and ignite the good fight. Lots o' music. Playlist is linked below (sorry I know, I'm trying to get away f...
Lots o’ Music this week. This week, your friendly neighborhood f**khead brings you a playlist reminiscent of Summers bygone, foretelling of Summers never to come, and above all, a playlist as non-sensical as this description. Apologies upfront, I put my favorite M. Manson song on this playlist but I still think he's a mostly unsupportable stain of a person. Come for my bad mood killing the vibe, stay for reaso...

It's bonus time before we hit the end of year listravaganza. In truth I am testing out a couple of potential new segments. First Up, Lesser Bangs where I bash the venerated critic and highlight a song, album, or artist who is forgotten, unsung or non-traditionally heavy but should be celebrated. This installment its Generation Terrorists by Manic Street Preachers.
Second Segment: Billboard, bangers, ba...
This episode, we finish up the story started way back in June, I swear a lot, there's a banger for beginners, and a Concert Calendar featuring maybe the most hypnotic and deeply affecting live set I have ever seen. And, we avow allyship in the face of the recent red wave of dangerous stupidity that just last week, oozed across this deluded country like an impenetrable wall of low-potency seminal fluid. Enjoy! w...

FINALLY, the conclusion of the wrestling story from February. A PACKED concert calendar and a few other things that probably don't deserve an ALL CAPS DELIVERY. But it's fun, I promise. And there's a ton of metal in this one.. of the -lica variety and the non-lica variety. This one is dedicated to my son and my wife who are both better than I deserve. Apologies to Snakemother, I call them ‘Snaketooth...
It's story time again, this time we start the case for one of the most reviled thrash songs of the 1980's and talk a lot about prep wrestling. Which, who among us doesn't love amateur wrestling talk.
