Hey, stop sidetracking him.. Let's see here.
Do we have any news orthings that we're plugging
before we get underway?
Anybody got anythingwanna throw out there?
- Me, uh, me and the two guysover at Strangers Nails, um,
strangers nails.com.
We ju actually did a, uh, two episodes.

(01:10):
I'm not exactly surewhen they're gonna air,
but they're, um, they're hobbit tails.
The card game, if anyone knowsthe card game, Hobbit tails.
And, uh, we jury riggedaway to actually do it
with three different peoplein three different locations.
And, uh, it was a blast. So.
- Cool. Um,- Mr.
Earls, I know you've got acouple things you can plug.

(01:33):
- Yeah, I mean, I, I'll just say, um,
which most people willprobably know on this,
although, we'll, we'll probablymove this to its own podcast
or like the Supersonic podcast, um,
role playing game feed thatwe're going to start eventually.
Um, but for now it is on theMystery Way anthology podcast,

(01:53):
which has several differentthings on it of different styles
and, um, um, yeah, gotmore coming up with that,
that's gonna be released like this.
And, uh, more of my slain story for people
that have not, um, heard that.
- And the two homeschooled crew
either You got anything you wanna promote?
- Uh, well my current project is on

(02:14):
hiatus because the world ended.
Uh, but when it's not, you can find me
and one of the other supersonicpod comic voice actors,
Danny Size at the world isdead.com Absolutely named
- The World- Is.
I was gonna say, why is, why is your
podcast not going on right now?
This is the perfect time for it.
- Uh, I really wish that it was
because it honestly is the perfect time

(02:36):
to be putting out content
for an apocalyptic multimedia web series.
But , uh, I have been working extra
because I'm in healthcare, so I have been
not producing anything of my own .
- Thank you for that. And thankyou for everyone who is, uh,
doing healthcare or, youknow, frontline workers.
Yeah. Thank you so much.God bless you guys.

(02:57):
- Absolutely.- And Mr. Crandall,
- Um, not doing too much, uh, every now
and then I've been puttingup on my SoundCloud.
I'm reading some children's stories
and, um, putting soundeffects and stuff to 'em.
'cause my girls like them andI like doing that, so. Very
- Cool. Yeah.
- Now, you just recentlycame out with a movie, Mr.

(03:19):
Movie Maker? I did.
Why are we, why are we not promoting that?
- Uh, I am, I did, I did make a short film
and it was in a film festivalhere, um, a couple of days ago
that was online.
Um, it's a short film called The Library.
Uh, once it's through thefestival circuit, uh, I'll, um,
pass along, be postingmore about that and,

(03:40):
and people can, can watchmy short film online
eventually. So, yeah.
- Yeah. It's verytwilight zoning. I've seen
- It. It is. Yeah. Yeah.
- Alright, well, with the shame
with self-promotion out theway, I do believe it is time
for another episode ofplaying games with strangers.

(04:57):
- So- Now, I don't know if you all hear it,
but there sounds to be something bigger
and more angry in that general direction.
- Oh, that's my tummy.Oh, the other direction.
- I maybe yours too. I don't know.
- I would like you to makea perception check. Callum.
- Oh boy. I've lost my dice.
So we're doing this the old last week

(05:17):
- Actually.
Callum, I, I don't think I need
to make you make a perception check.
I'm just gonna move your characterso you can see something.
- Alright. I love seeing things.Oh, I'm standing on a door.
Hey, does one of you wantto go through this door
that I was conveniently blocking?
- Oh, you were standing behind the door?
Well, I don't see anyproblems going through a door.

(05:41):
- Oh, knock arrow in preparation.
- Oh, what are you doing there?
- Well, I'm going to guessthat whatever is loud
and angry on the other sideis going to want to fight
whoever opens the door.
So I'm here to protect you. .
- Well, I have a cousin andhe's loud and angry sometimes,
- But do you think he's in there?
- He could be. Lemme check.

(06:03):
- And I, uh, I'll open the door. You
- Open the door.
You are free to walk aboutthe other side of the door.
- I, I, I stick my head in and say, um,
- Gregory, are you in there?
- So as you poke yourhead through the door,
you see a hallway that goes forward
for about 15 feet

(06:25):
and then turns right to the south,
or it also has a holein the wall to the left.
- I, uh, bring my head back in and I say,
- Um, Gregory's not there,but I do see a hallway.
- And after you say thatcoming from down the hallway,

(06:45):
you just hear this loud coming from
some direction in the hallway.
- Oh. Oh. Did everyone else hear that?
- Yeah, I think that'd bewhat I've been hearing.
- Oh, well that sounds like someone
that uh, oh, go to yours.
Some help perhaps, perhaps
- Then I start walking down the hallway.

(07:06):
- Are you just going at normal speed
or are you trying to stealth?
- I will progress quietly.
- Um, I, I suppose I will stealth
just a nice leisurely15 on my stealth rule.
- Okay. Callum- A 19.
- Is everybody elsegonna be following them
or are you just lettingthem scout? They're,

(07:26):
- Because they're verygood at stealthing. Yeah.
- Um, I I'd be following them.
- Yeah, I'm following them too.
- Alright. You two need
to also make stealth checks at
disadvantage 'cause you're wearing armor.
- Look at my guy Natty 20.
- Did you roll twice and give
and take the lowest lesser of the two?
- Nope, I did now. Oh mygosh. I just got another one.

(07:47):
- .- Seriously?
- Oh, I'm serious. What a waste. .
- Alright.- It might not be a waste.
- You, you oiled your arm,you oiled your armor. So good.
No one can tell you're there.
- I think I put honeyon it. I think I looked
- It off earlier.
- Yeah. I don't know. I thinkyour tongue actually pushed
- Bug there. Saliva.
- Yeah. Natural.- This is getting really awkward guys. We

(08:08):
- Gotta we gotta bottle it.
- Gareth is behind y'allgoing Clang, clang,
- Clang, clang, clang.
. Client clientclang. What? The trolley.
- But, uh, it's a, it's a group check.
So y'all are managed tokind of compensate for his
noisiness as you go down the hallway.
Uh, who you, uh, youhave the choice of going

(08:29):
to the right or the left.
- I'm gonna go to the uh, right. I believe
- As you start to walkaway, uh, like everybody
to make a perception check please.
- 18 for me.- 16.
- Oh, I've got to 21.
- Callum. You hear kind of a loud grunt

(08:52):
as you hear a loud meatythump come from your left
as you're coming down this hallway.
- Dare I say I might even see it.
- Do you see it?- I do see it.
- See what?- Oh, nothing.
I think we should move morequickly in that direction.
Or you should move quicklyin the other direction.

(09:12):
- What? Move quickly in thedirection I'm already going.
Alright, that sounds reasonable to me.
- I'm going to go past poo.
- And then you hear two moreroars coming from the north
and it's two distinct voicesthat are roaring that you hear.
- Oh. - Based off of whatyou have learned in your,

(09:36):
uh, seminary
and other collegiatecourses that you took,
you learned about what Ogers are.
- Uhhuh- And what you are seeing
looks like an ogre except itlooks incredibly desiccated.
- Oh. So it looks like I'm going from the

(09:58):
seminary to the cemetery. Okay.
- Ah, I see what you did there.
- A transposition of letters
- And you, you, you see thereare two of them in there
and they are wailing on each other.
- Oh, okay. So they're hitting each other.
- Yeah. - So can I just movea little bit and see, okay.
Just to get a sense of,

(10:19):
- Are you, which, whichdirection are you moving?
- Um, I was just movingin my own square. Oh.
Just a little bit. Up and down.
Just, just to see the both of them.
Because I could see one yousaid I could, I could see two,
but I would imagine 'cause
they're moving around and fighting.
Yeah. Uh, I'm going to,uh, address the, uh,
the, the, the rest.
How far away are they, Tim, and 25 feet.

(10:40):
I'm going to as, as softly, but as loudly as I can say.
- Gentlemen. Ogers, didyou say gentlemen? Ogers.
- .- There was trauma
- .
- So, uh, I'm, I'm going to,uh, you know, with my finger
to my mouth, uh, my teeth, they're shh.

(11:02):
Just trying to, to let them know that if,
if they can't hear what's going on,
I'll maybe even mimic and point in,
- Make a performance check please.
13. So caem poo
and orba, you guys seeGareth back there, he's kind
of giving you the hush sound
and he keeps saying, gentlemen, Ogers.

(11:24):
. And then afterhe says, gentlemen, Ogers,
he puts up two fingers
and then he's puttinglike two fists together.
- Yeah. So that's the reason why
we should be going this way quickly.
- Callum and Poo, I wouldlike you both to make a
perception chick actually not Callum,
because you wouldn't haveseen it, but Poo Yes. You

(11:46):
- Uh, that would be a nine.
- Okay. Nevermind.- I didn't see it either.
- Uh, do I hear anything from ahead of me?
I on the opposite direction.
- You do not.- Gareth,
you don't happen to seea box in there, do you?
- No. I see no box.
- Well then I think weshould continue in the less

(12:11):
gentleman fog are out.
- Agreed- Or bug.
I would like you tomake a perception check
- 14- To your east.
I'll put it like that so we don't
get confused. to your
- East- To to the east.
- .- You notice another chest in a room.
- I see your chest.- I've seen some of those before.

(12:33):
- Hopefully this one isn't alive.
- Hopefully it has morethan clothing in it.
- Um, I guess I will cautiouslystart moving towards it.
- Okay.- Feel like I'm being railroaded, but
- I'm not forcing you to do anything, sir.
- If it starts to growl at you,

(12:55):
that's probably not a real box.
- So as you approach this room, it's kind
of a cul-de-sac in this sidehallway that you're going down.
As you walk in there, you see seven
shoulder high stone pillars.
I it is not so much pillars,
but just engraved blockingsthat are monoliths.

(13:17):
Yeah. Something like that. Okay.
- Caskets?- No, no.
- They're full of stars.
- Um, that do have holesin the middle of them.
- Okay.- Should we roll like a history thing
or something to see if welike, like would we think
that those things couldmaybe shoot out Dart
or fire or something?

(13:38):
The holes in the, in those things?
- Um, I would say make
- Or is that a be, is that beyond us?
- Well, what, what's funnyis the, the, the character
that would be best for thisis not in the room with you
- . Right? Right.
- Yeah. - Uh, I will saymake an intelligence check.
- Uh, seven. - You're notsure what those holes are for.

(14:05):
- Wow. - I'll tell Garrett togo stick his fingers in them.
- gladly. My friend .
- Uh, I believe we shouldproceed with caution.
Keep your eye on the holes.
- Oh, that sounds rather funny.

(14:25):
- Callum and Poo. What are you doing?
- Are they opening another chest?
- They said something about a chest
and they walked into the other room.
I personally am rather disappointed
with the chest that I have found.
They all seem my little um, go grumpy.
I'll let them have this chest.
And what seems to be up ahead Callum?

(14:47):
- Well we can go down thesestairs or down this hallway.
So flip a coin. I guess
- I do have a coin and I will flip it.
- We should probably determine, you know what means what
before you do that.
- Oh, what a wonderful idea.

(15:08):
- Heads will go up the stairs.Alright, now you can flip it.
- Okay, I will flip my coin
and let's go up the stairs.
I believe it is a head.
- Alright, well there's a door.
So I mean, if you want to open it,
I can have an arrow ready in case
there's something grumpyon the other side.
- I am great at opening doors,
but I have seen are you'rereally good with dolls as well?

(15:31):
- It's one of my many talents.
- I'll do it if you haveno objections. Bye. Open
- Door.
- You open the door.- I sure do.
- Split the party.Split the party .
- I was thinking thesame thing, but it's your
- Old cow- .
- As you open this door,a loud firework goes off.

(15:55):
- Oh - Dear. You hear somerummaging coming from the east
and then a loud poof,
- A loud poof. Poof,
- Poof.
POOF. The sound you would expect
to hear like a magicianmake when they vanish
- Or appear.
- That's- Banff. Banff, that's a great one too.

(16:15):
I don't know if that's trademarked
by Kurt Warn Kurt. Idon't remember his last
- Name. It is not Wagner.
- Wagner. Yes. Kurt- Warner.
- . Yes. Yes. They the quarterback.
- A column. Was thatyou doing the poofing?
- No, I can't say that it was.- Do we hear that too?
- No, you guys are in acompletely different room.

(16:36):
Let's go back to you guys now. Okay.
So you are approaching this chest in this,
in this suspicious looking room
- Or bog.
Wait, stand back.
I'm going to throw a javelin at the box,
but stand back behind yourshield just in case something
comes towards us after I hit it.

(16:57):
- Okay. So I'm going tomove behind him then.
- Okay.- And I will, and I'll keep,
and I will keep my shield up just in case.
- All right. Uh, go aheadand do what you're gonna do.
- I'm gonna throw my javelin,
but I'm keeping my shieldat the ready as well.
So I'm throwing my javelin
and then just hunkering down
behind the shield just incase something comes at

(17:18):
- All right.
Go ahead and roll a D 20.
Go ahead and do your javelin attack.
- This is me javelin.
- So you kind of throw it
and it goes li a littlebit wide Right? Missed it.
- Uh, but nothing happened.Nothing came out of the holes.
Nothing. It didn't move.Nothing like that? No. Okay.

(17:38):
I'll, uh, knock up anotherjavelin and do it again.
- Alright. This time.
Yeah, you uh, you throw your javelin
and it hits the top of the chest
and it just kind of t
right into the chest and it sticks in
there. Nothing happens.
- Uh, I will take that as a good omen.
Why don't we check outthe chest as we get closer

(18:02):
to the things, can we seeinside the holes at all?
- Uh, make a perception check please.
It's pretty dark in that hole.
You can't really see what's going on.
- Okay. Um, does the chest look, uh,
specifically locked or, youknow, bound with anything
or does it look like somethingwe can open easily? Make

(18:24):
- An investigation check, please.
You're not sure? Yeah, it'sa pretty neat looking chest.
- See I got a, I got a two, so .
- So does it look like the other chest
that we've fought ,
- The other chest that we fought?
Uh, yeah, it does look likethe same looking chest,
although you do recall thatwhen you stood right next

(18:45):
to those last previous chests
they did open up and try to bite you,
- Right? Alright,
- I'm fine.
Just old opening it if you want.
, if you wanna stand ready.
- Uh, okay, I'll, I'll, uh,stand ready with the battle.
I I'm, I'm gonna pick upmy javelins and ash them
and then, uh, stand ready withmy battle ax as he opens the,

(19:08):
or tries to open the, the thing.
- Yeah, I'll put, I'llput my sword behind me
and, um, use my
and use that hand to open whilethe other one has my shield.
Ready? If I can. Am I able to open it?
Does it look like I would be able
to open it with one hand? Gimme
- One quick second.
I'm pulling something up here.

(19:29):
- What can hurt Paladins the most?
- soon. How do you kill a paladin?
- Sorry, I didn't have mynotes up for this room.
- Just let us open it.That's not our fault.
- Yeah, he- Thought we were going to die
by the gentleman. Ogers.

(19:50):
- - Gentleman. Ogresare my favorite kind. They're
- So nice and quaint.
- Oh, very good. Dancers. I hear too.
- . Hold me closer over dancer.
- So what were you trying todo now? Ja. I'm sorry. I was,
- Uh, I was just, I was just seeing,
I I I couldn't remember, um,when the other ones opened it,

(20:11):
they just needed like one hand
or two hands to be able to open the chest.
If I could just you doit with one hand. As,
- As, as the other.
They never really made contact.
'cause as they were reaching forward,
the chest opened themselves up
and tried to bite the handthat was reaching towards them.
You know, you can tellme how you want to do it.
- I'll reach for what lookslike the easiest way to open it.

(20:32):
Uh, I almost see, I almostwant do it with my sword,
but if it's like lightning
or something, I don'tknow how smart that is.
,
- Um, that moment if youdon't know if your DM
is trying to kill you or not. Yeah,
- No, I I will, I, I'll,I'll, I'll use my sword.
'cause I think that's whatthe character would do.
He's, he's gonna try to be cautious

(20:54):
and he has a big sword, so,
- Okay.
So you're gonna try to force it open?
- Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Imean, not like super hard,
but at least just try to see if I can kind
of start sliding it in to kind of prop it.
- Uh, go ahead and make astrength check to see if you can
bl if you can for, ifyou can break this lock
and force the lid open.

(21:15):
- Well, I'm feeling good'cause I rolled in 19.
- Alright, you forced this lock open
and you break open this, that you break this lock.
And I need Gareth
and Orba to make a constitution saving.
Throw please as a green mist,

(21:37):
a green gas jettisons from
- Theses- .
- Um, I got an eight.- I got a rock.
- Okay. Um, Gareth,
because you're standingright next to these,
investigating them as this happens.
Mm-Hmm. ,you cover your mouth

(21:57):
and hold your breath asthis gas starts coming out
and you don't inhale enoughof this gas for it to
do anything, uh, or bog, however you breathe it in
and your lungs begin to burn.
Uh, you take

(22:20):
- One.
What many times is he rolling?
- 13 points of poison damage.- Oof.
- No, thank you.- And, uh,
as this happens, the, thegas vents out of the room,
but the chest has been broke.
The chest lock has been broken open
and you see a big oldpile of gold inside of it

(22:43):
equate equating to 1000 gold pieces.
- Wow. - Uh, it's, yeah,I'm not interested in that.
I'm interested in what we came for
unless it looks likethere might be something.
Is it, I mean, it's, isit pretty piled high?
I mean, can we see it atthe bottom of the chest
through the gold or is it,
I just didn't know if the thingwe're looking for might be

(23:04):
underneath the gold, but Iguess that would be stupid.
- Uh, you can make ofan investigation check
to kind of dig around in it.
- 14. - Uh, digging around inthere, all you really find is
a big old pile of gold.
- Yeah. I'm not interested in it.
I just wanna get whatwe came for and get out.

(23:26):
- You have legitimately takenme to a new place as a dm.
I have never heard a player belike, I don't want your gold
- .
- Well, this is a very darkand evil place, so ,
- So,- So I'm not,
- I mean, you do, you playyour character how you want to,
I'm just saying that is avery unique character choice.
I'm going to say that. Well,

(23:46):
- We've all seen themovies where, you know,
the the shiny thing is
what the people are looking at when the
big bad thing hits 'em.
- Yeah. I mean, uh, I'mfine like telling the others
that there's gold in there later, .
But I don't know. I kind, I guess for me,
like I feel like aPaladin would, uh, not be
that interested in gold,

(24:08):
but that seems like agood choice, you know?
And, and well, I I knowhe knows my backstory.
I mean, I'm kind of from royalty anyway,
so it's just, it doesn't
- Yeah, - I'm, I'm, it doesn'thave the same appeal for me,
so I'm fine.
I'm fine leaving the poisongas room that almost kills
- .
I'll, I'll, I'll take a lookat the gold to see if it's,

(24:29):
if it's, you know, like standard issue
or if it's anything special or whatever.
But, you know, I'm notreally interested in,
in, in taking it. Uh, it
- Just seems like, itseems like more for us
to carry in more noise making for us too.
- Well, that's not the way gold works
in d and d, but you know.
- Okay. ,- Uh, Steve, go ahead
and make a investigationcheck for what you said.

(24:51):
Uh, yeah. In, in yourcursory look at the gold.
It is just your standardissue spending gold.
- All right. I'll just take one more look
around the room just to makesure everything is the way we
left it and then head out.
- Everything is theway you left it, except
for the broken chest in the middle of the
- Room.
Well, yeah, obviously
- As you come down thehallway, uh, come back

(25:13):
to the main hallway that you guys are in.
You see a stairway to the south
that proceeds downwards
and you do not see your friendsin the hall at the moment.
- We saw them heading that way.
So I think it would be safe to assume
that they're going that way.
- Okay. Do we, do we still hear the ogers?
- Uh, yeah, they areproceeding to beat themselves.

(25:34):
Okay. Still beat each other.
- Still in the other roomthough, as far as we can tell.
Yeah. Yeah. Then we'll gotry to find our friends.
- I'm gonna put you guys onpause for a brief second.
I have a bloody nose.Wow. I'll be right back.
- DM is hard work, you know,
- , he reallyputs everything into it.
I mean, man, he is bleeding for us.
- Steve. Let's go back and get the gold

(25:56):
- .
There was, uh, nothing, nothing in the chest.
Uh, empty chest
- Jingle, jingle, jingle, dangle,
- , .
I don't know. I mean, if,I guess if it were gems
or something, easily stashed
and, you know, worth more than
one gold piece per, I don't know even how
- That's a lot of gold in there.

(26:16):
- Yeah,- That's a lot of gold.
- Hundreds of pounds of gold.
- Yeah. We'd be carryingaround in this place
with zombies and instead like
- Yeah, it doesn't really, like, as far as can use that
- Goes, can use it like pocket sand.
Just throw gold pieces at people.
- Yeah. Yeah. Well, I I willsay that one of the things
that did occur to me isthat who knows if we didn't,

(26:37):
you know, run into somethingthat wanted gold, that yeah,
we could just give it to
- Gold.
It's, it's probably a Piratesof the Caribbean thing.
- It probably is.- It'll turn into a skeleton
- And you know, sometimes itmight be worth a thousand gold,
but really you got platinumpieces in there and
- It's kinda weird that it wouldbe exactly 1000 gold pieces

(26:58):
and nothing else.
- Yeah, that seems like a trap. Like,
- All right, I am back.
- Like, and I don'teven know how we counted
that many gold pieces that quickly.
- Sounds like DMing.- What'd I miss?
- You'll hear it on the playback.
- . Jeez.-
- The DM that Yeah, as youproceed down there, you get

(27:19):
to the top of the stairs, you see Callum at the end,
at the bottom of the stairs.
- Have we not moved?- I moved.
- I mean, have we not movedin the time it took them
to decide how they wanna open a chest
- ?
I'm saying that the, uh,whole chest incident kind
of happened as you guysmoved down those stairs.
So this is right when you gotto the bottom of the stairs

(27:39):
and they followed you back down there.
- Do you want to go checkwhat that sound was to the,
you know, corner over there?
- Oh, the poof.- That's the one. Yeah.
- Oh, look, our friends have showed up.
- Yeah. Are there two suits of armor
and a coffin or something
- With blood? That'd be correct.
- Okay.- Going to it. I say vampire.

(28:01):
- Oh, what now?- Nothing.
- Find, do you not wantto check on it then? Oh,
- No, I will.
I just got distracted.
- .- So over this way.
Wait, which way? Uh, did you say? Yeah,
- We walked in and uh, somethingseems to have disappeared.
- It went like,-

(28:25):
- Hurt- Me to do that.
So kudos to you on that.
- Thank you. Are bug baleshave a specific talent Oh, for
of making poof noises.
- Is there another dooror a portal to the east?
- Yeah, that's to the,- Okay, so to the east you see
a door and,

(28:46):
and then on the northeastcorner of the room,
you see another hole in the wall.
- Oh, like a hole, like someone.
Okay, I understand, I understand.
- For Callum, uh, oh, which direction did
that poof come from again?
I seem to have forgotten.
- Uh, I'd say somewheregenerally at that way.

(29:07):
And Callum will just pointgenerally towards a wall.
- Oh, okay.
- And I walk specifically over to the wall
that she pointed at and just put my head
right up against the wall.
- Oh, well it seems like a wall.
- I'll, uh, roll investigation
to see if I hear anything from the wall.
Okay. At nine.

(29:31):
- It sounds like a wall.
Pretty healthy wall, but it's a wall.
- This wall seems to be a verygood condition for its age.
- Maybe you know, the door orthe other door might be Oh,
- Oh yes.
Well, you should have saidso in the first place.
- Next time I'll clarify. I guess

(29:53):
- I walk over to the other door.
- Okay.- Oh, should I check this door?
- Do what you think is right? You know,
- I follow my, on my heart.
- Listen, listen to yourheart, you know, hope
- Not- .
- Alright, I'm going in the door. Then

(30:14):
- I open up this door.
- Or you try to,- Oh,
- I, I I get the sensethat this door is locked.
- What if you kicked it- ?
- You know, I was thinkingthe very same thing.
- Any perception. Check please. Poop.

(30:34):
- Actually, I wasn'tsaying the same thing.
Oh, maybe I was. Oh, that's a three.
- Nevermind.- ,
- Is the door locked?
- Are you asking me?- Yes. Is
- Last time I assumed youwere talking to the dm?

(30:54):
I stepped on some rp, so I'm just,
- I I was talking to the door. Actually,
- ,- The door says nothing.
- Oh, you locked door.- .
- Can,- Can we not just knock?
Oh, do you know how to do that?
- Just ran your head againstit. Not the spell bro.

(31:15):
- . Alright.
I, I I just hit my headagainst the door since
that was suggested to me.
, uh, oh, that's a,
that's a, that's a Nat one.
- the record.- . Oh dear.
- Okay.- Well,
- How much damage do I take?
- You take six pointsof bludgeoning damage

(31:35):
as you smash your face into this door,
- . Oh.
- And by doing that, yourealize what you, what the, uh,
investi what your, uh, last,uh, perception check was, is
that this door is made out of stone.
- Oh, .- This isn't
ire sort of door. It hurts.

(31:58):
- are the, are thestatues made of, are the,
are they stone statues or arethey actually like man sized?
- They're suits of armor.- So they,
they just look like mansized suits of armor.
- Yep. - Are they in any, like, disrepair or rusty
or do they look brand new?
- Uh,- They look old and not in disrepair,

(32:20):
but they look moredecorative than they do.
- Oh, so the tool you fit right in then.
- Got it. Hey,
- Uh, can we hear through this door?
This stone door that poo hasso nicely knocked on for us?
- knocked on, uh, makea perception check, please.

(32:44):
- 24.- You put your ear.
- That is what I usually listen with.
- Hey, you know, I'mtrying to set, I'm trying
to create a mental image for you
and our listeners here. I'm
- Working, I'm sorry,- I I'm
- Working my paint me a word picture.
- I'm working my oratorymagic at this point.

(33:04):
- Is it the ear with theearring on it or the other one?
- Uh, but as you listen toit, you, you get, you get the,
uh, I'm just stepping right past this.
At this point. You, you hear the sound.
It sounds kind of like the movement
of air. That's about it.

(33:26):
- Well, either someone's moving over there
or it's outside.
So, you know, if you want
to go in the door, we can do our best.
- Has anyone triedopening the red box thing?
- A coffin?- Is it a coffin? I don't know that

(33:50):
- Make a perception check- 12.
- It's probably a coffin.
- You know, I'm okaynot opening the coffin,
but I'm also okay if wedecide to open the coffin,
- And this could be a tomb,
in which case we would be desecrating it.

(34:10):
I say we leave it alone for
- Now.
Well, it depends on what you do
once you open the coffin, I guess.
- Uh, no. Opening the coffinwould be the desecration.
- We could knock on it.- No,
- .
- Your green bar is low- .
- Yes, I do feel a little bit woozy.

(34:31):
- does, does this, does this stone door have a,
like a handle?
- Um, in a manner of speaking? It's not like a knob.
- Like if you like a way to open it.
- Yeah. It looks like, you know how like, like a,

(34:52):
like a screen, like a sliding glass door.
How you have like something you can
slide it to left and right.
- It Does it not move at the moment?
- No, it's locked.- Is there a way that,
well, I don't, I can't do that. I
- Mean,- I'm not a rock.
- So I realized that that door is locked

(35:13):
and I just had a thought.
Yeah, I was, I was thinking
what if there was akey to unlock the door?
- That's true.- And oh, what if, uh, that key,
uh, was in that, uh, red thing over there?
- Also possible.- Let's let Callum open it.

(35:39):
- Callum is very good at opening things.
- Why don't we not desecrate the two?
- Oh, there's also,- I mean, if you, if you want me
to open it, I could open it.
If you're telling, if you're,if you're daring me not
to do it or you're daring me to, to do it,
you know, I could do it.
- It I'm telling you not to do it.
- Oh, I don't like beingtold what to do. So,

(36:01):
- ,- That would work. .
- You should, you should not open it.
- Yeah.- You, you look like you are opening it.
- I might- Everyone hide behind these statues.
- , I'm gonna open it.- Are you

(36:21):
- ?
- Yeah. Am I, I've takenno damage to this game.
So as well?
- Yeah.- Yeah.
- Come on.- I'm gonna open it. I meant what?
I said someone told me not to gimme.
- I triple dare you.- Okay. It.
She's opening it.

(36:44):
- I shake my head disdain
and sort of assign myself to the fate.
- I don't think it's a tomb.
I think everything justlooks like that down here.
- All right, so as you open the coffin,
- Callum- Uhoh five.

(37:06):
Callum. It's nice tomeet. Nice knowing you.
- Unreal.- I need you
to roll a charismas saving throw, please.
- Oh, I am super charismatic.
Hey, that's an 18.
- Okay.- You feel
- Tambourine,- You feel a presence, try

(37:30):
to invade your being,
but you quickly, you quick,
but you quickly reach,uh, you reach backwards
to try to get away from it.
And you come in contact withthis cleric that's behind you
and that physical contact you feel the,
the ra some radiancechannel from Orba into you

(37:52):
and force the presence out of you.
- Yeah. I don't have anyradiant power of my own,
- So No, but I'm trying tojustify what happened here
through your dice roll.
- I mean, I, I have radiantpower. Oh. Oh, sorry.
If you wanted to back up
and say that again. .
- No, I'm gonna keep it like that
because you were beingcompletely defiant when

(38:15):
you decided to open this.
- You're not being your, but you force it.
Typical radiant self.
- That's not what- I wanted. Do exactly.
- Do- What I say. Roll 20.
Uh, and you've noticed the pre, uh,
a ethereal presence hovering over the
coffin, staring at you.
- I would like- Everybody to roll initiative. Please.

(38:38):
Alright, so at the top ofthe order, we have the ghost,
- The good, good ghost.
- It's gonna float over here.
We're gonna see if it getsits possession skill back.
It does not.
- So sad.- I'm sure.

(39:01):
- Is everyone still there?
- Yeah, I'm just, I I have a list
of actions I can do here. No,
- That's true.
I just, I just wantedto make sure I was not,
not, not there.
- Alright,- She's awake. Um,
- I would like everybody inthe room that can see the ghost
to make a wisdom saving throw.

(39:21):
Please.
- I'm slightly outside theroom, but technically, I mean,
- Do you see the ghost?
Yes. Then you need tomake one as well. That's
- Wisdom seven for me.
- Now. Wisdom save.- That would be a 16 for me.
- Ooh, wise, is this
- Wise?

(39:42):
I'm save I'm wise behind my heels.
- Oh,- Wolf.
- Yeah. I got, um, 14.
- 14. Alright, so Callum
and Gareth.
- Well,- All of you see this happen as it like,
you guys have seen themovie Ghostbusters, right?
- Yes.- The beginning scene

(40:03):
of Ghostbusters whenthey're in the library
and they account the library ghost.
And when they approach, whenwhen Dan Aro says, get her
and she just turned shape shifts on them,
that sort of thing happens, right?
Right there as she float, starts to float up those stairs.
And Klum
and Gareth, you both are frightened

(40:25):
as a status right now.
Callum,
- You- Failed by more than five.
The frightening effectalso ages you by 15 years.
- What?- I'm an old man, not
- .

(40:46):
- Oh, that's pretty cool.- A
- Column.
Is your hair supposed to be that color?
- How old are you now, Callum?- Uh, I am,
- Let- Me do some quick math here.
32.
- That's- Not old. That's not an old man.

(41:08):
You take that back. This instance.
- .- Uh, Callum thinks he is ready
to go at this point.
It's, you know, he's on the way out.
He didn't think he'd make itanother two years. All right.
- Nice.- Oh, right, right.
Now you and Steve are havea frightened status on you.

(41:29):
So, uh, can you define frighten for
our listening audience, please?
- Very- Scared.
- .- Awesome.
Alright, well, as the DM, Iguess I will define frighten
for our audience as a status.
Um, it basically means thatyou cannot come any closer

(41:52):
to the i the object thatyou are frightened of.
Uh, any movement has to beeither lateral or away from it
or away from the target.
Um, also any attacks made at the object
that you are frightened ofare made at disadvantage.
And you can repeat yoursave on your next round.

(42:15):
On your next turn. I mean,is it at the beginning
or the end of your next turn though?
Let me take a look.
- Probably the end- At the eea. Yes.
That would, it'd be atthe end of your next turn.
So, alright. Poo, you're up.
- Does anyone else see thatblue, uh, ghosty looking thing?

(42:37):
Yes. Oh good. And so I can attack it.
- , he's asking this in battle.
- Oh yes. Okay. So I get, uh,I get, uh, uh, within 10 feet
of it and I take out my ax
and I try to swing at thisghost looking thing up there.

(43:00):
- Alright.- Uh, does a
21 hit?
- A 21 will hit- Good. Good.
- Uh, that will do.
Oh really? A five damage, ourold minimum damage on that.

(43:23):
- Oh,- Oh.
As you swing, uh,
and your, your ax actually sails
through the form
and you can tell it tookdamage, but it didn't.
And, and, you know, youdidn't really get a solid hit
to begin with, but evenwith this small amount
of damage you expected to make, it seemed
to affect it even less.

(43:46):
- Oh, that didn't seem veryeffective. Out. Swing harder.
- Uh, yeah. There's a, areally high number, uh,
like a
28 hit.
- 28 definitely hits. Yeah.

(44:09):
- Uh, oh. And that's max damage this time,
- Which is- 12 13 4 16.
Alright,
- So you swing and it again, sails through this inal form,
but it, and it stilldoesn't do as much damage
as you're expecting it to do.

(44:31):
- Hmm. This is rather frustrating.
Has anyone faced ghosts before?
- Only my own.- I've seen them before,
but it may, may have been the mead
- .
Any more movement or bonus actions poo?

(44:53):
- Oh no. I'm contented to stay here
and stare at the ghost with a very
grimacing grimace.
- Alright, Callum, it is your turn.
- Great. I am going toput a hand on my chest
and cast protection fromevil and good upon myself.

(45:13):
- Okay. And what does that do?
- Uh, so it has a number of things.
It's going to give me protection against
aberrations, celestials,elementals, fa fiends, undead.
- Okay. - Uh, those typeshave disadvantage attacking me
and I cannot be charmed, frightened, or possessed by them.

(45:35):
And if I am already inone of those states,
I have advantage on saving throws.
- Awesome.- And then as
a bonus action, I'm going touse my slayers prey feature,
which allows me to pick an, uh, enemy.
And anytime I attack it, is it me?

(45:58):
Uh, next time, next time, uh,
anytime I attack it, I do an extra D six.
- Awesome. Alright.
And go ahead and make your wisdom safe,
because I'm assuming you don'twanna back away for a minute.
- No, I'm going to stayRight, right there.

(46:18):
So that'll be a 21,
- Uh, yeah.
That a 21 will break the,uh, frightened status.
So you are no longer afeared of this ghost.
I You ain't afraid of no ghost,no. Or bug. It is your turn.
- I, I can reach it with mysword from where I am. Yes.
Yeah. Okay.

(46:40):
Uh, 15 to hit.
- That'll hit.- Oh.
And since I, since I didn't specify,
should I just say it's one handed then?
Yep. So the 10, I guess,
- Is it 10? Yeah,
- 10 total. Alright.
- All right. So you swingyour sword through the urn.
What also just kind of slides through that

(47:04):
visage of this, uh,
deceased individual.
And, uh, you don't feel itmake contact with anything,
but you, you notice it does,it does kind wince in pain,
but it doesn't affect it asmuch as the normal swing would,
nor would feel like it would,it should have affected it.

(47:26):
- Yeah. I'll take another swing at it.
- Okay. - Can I switch totwo hands this time or no?
- Yeah, that's your call.
- Yeah. 13.
- Um, take a look here.
I wanna say it hits, but I wanna make
sure Yes, that's gonna hit

(47:49):
- Cool.
Uh, eight damage.
- Yeah. The, the, theghost is still wincing
as you're passing a sword through,
but it's, you can't, don't quite,
can't quite figure out why it'snot really connecting in the
way that you it should be.
- So I don't know what a ghost is.

(48:09):
- You know what a ghost is.- .
- Uh, I'll, I'll, I'll do this.
Go ahead and make a history check please.
- Uh, 15.- In thinking back to your time
learning your craft as a paladin, um,
and how to channel divinityand learning about undead

(48:29):
and unholy things that you were going
to be battling in yourchosen profession, uh, you do
remember now that you thinkabout it, that whereas these,
these types of undead, uh, beings
where they do are affected byphysical damage, they aren't,

(48:50):
they aren't affected fully, unless any by any attack.
Unless by any attack. That is magical.
So it, it's not as affected by just
standard physical attacks,
- The kind of hard to hit.
Yeah, no, it sounds stupid,
but I'm just wonderingif we should even do it.

(49:11):
I, I don't even know if likethe lid is off the thing.
If we should close thelid or something,
or, um, uh, just
- Don't cross the streams, that's all.
- Yeah, I, I guess I'll try to,
I'll try to talk to the ghost.
- She looks at you and says,- Are you a god?
- ?- Ask for the key.

(49:34):
See if she has the key .
I am not a God. What do you wish then
- Die .
- Sorry.- I, I'm, I'm,
I'm doing Ghostbusters here, people, it's,
- Oh, really?
- , can we get the state,
state puff marshmallowman in here? Uh, you,

(49:55):
- You can, you can, you can,you can say what you want
to the ghost, but talking onlyhappens on things turns. So,
- Okay.
So yeah. Yeah. Uh, yeah.
I was just wanting toask her what she wanted.
- She, she just looks at you
and has a look of notunderstanding on its face.
Uh, Gareth, it is your turn.

(50:17):
- Uh, can I use channeldivinity to turn undead?
- Uh, have you used it yet?- I don't think so.
- Uh,- Go ahead
and, yeah, you can, ifyou haven't used it,
then go ahead and use it.
- I sort of, uh, stand up nice and tall.
So the, the, the holy symbol, which is on my, my chest

(50:39):
or my, you know, the thingthat's in front, the tabard, um,
is nice and proudly, uh, displayed.
And then I say mind sworntovala heart knowing
only virtue blade, defending the helpless hand,
upholding the weak mouth, speaking only truth, wrath,

(51:01):
undoing the wicked.
- What is your spell?
DC that's gonna be on your spell sheet.
- Spell saving DC is 13.
- All right. Well,
unless I have an 11 in my wisdom,
which I don't think I amnot going to get that.

(51:23):
Nope. I only have a one.So it rolled a three.
It is terrified of you. Andwhat'd you look at that?
It's the ghost's turn after, right after you do this.
And so as you do this andyou hold up your holy symbol,
and I'm assuming given your chosen deity
that you're holding up across, correct?
Yes. Okay.

(51:43):
So you watch this ghost's eyes just get
wide and it's like, ah,
- Oh, that hurt my throat too.
- And it just flies awayfrom you guys into a wall.
- And I would like to takean attack of opportunity.

(52:04):
- Oh, do you?- And I would like to as well.
- Oh really? And me too. Okay. Okay.
Every the three of you go ahead
and make that attack ofopportunity on the thing
that just took the turn.
Un dead. Dead. Mm-Hmm,
- 25 to hit.
Oh, that hits 14.
- 14 to hit,- That'll hit

(52:27):
- 17.
- Okay. Uh, go ahead andy'all roll some damage.
- 10 damage from me.
- And was that, hang on just a second.
Everybody else before Iget to the you other two?
Um, Callum, is that considereda magical attack given your,
I think it is because you ha
because that gives youa, a status effect on it.

(52:50):
So you said ten three,
- Uh, the seven, theseven piercing won't be,
but the four extra couldbe considered that.
Yes, I would assume.
- Okay. Now, who, what was yours?
- Uh, it was 14.
- Okay. And or bog?

(53:14):
- Nine.- Nine reduced four.
All right. So as this thing turns to run,
y'all take an attack on it
and it shakes the terror outof it and it stops running.
It turns around. It is livid. Hi.
- Livid. I'm Callum.
- That's the reason why I was shocked

(53:34):
after I just got done describing saying,
unless it takes damage in it'sfelt in the description, how
- Are we supposed to know that?
- That's true. That's true.
I was one, I was wondering if,
uh, that was gonna be a thing.
- I'm offended that noone laughed at my dad
joke. Now that I'm older,
- I .
- I liked it.- Thank you.
- . This ghostreaches out to touch you,

(53:57):
- Dad.
- Oh,- Does a 16 hit you?
- Oh, 18 is- My Oh, so it does not hit you? Oh,
- It does not.
- Depending on if youwere using your shield.
'cause I think you two-handed last time.
- Well, this time I
wasn't 'cause we were just doing it quick.
- Oh, I see.- It's my logic.

(54:18):
I don't care if he wantsto say I was doing it
two-handed. Doesn't matter to me.
- I'll allow it. 'cause he did.
He, I I did say that he needs
to announce when he isusing, using it two-handed.
Otherwise we assume it's one-handed.
So that logic is soundbased off of the pre
stated terms,
and ghost reaches out to grab onto you,

(54:40):
but it only grabs onto your armor.
But where it grabs onto your armor,
you watch the armor start totarnish and rust a little bit.
And you, you get, youget the feeling, if, if
that thing would've made contact with you,
it would've done some bad things to you.
Yeah. Withering touches Nojoke. Uh, who it is your turn?
- Uh, Mrs. Ghost. Do you have a key

(55:04):
for that door over there?
- She doesn't say anything to you.
- Oh, well in that case- I'll attack.
- Okay, go ahead and roll.- 12 does a 12 hit?
- Yes. A 12 does hit- Oh right.
- Uh,- 11 damage.

(55:27):
- You swipe your, uh, your sword.
It's ax your axe throughthe, uh, through the ghost.
And again, it's just not hitting as hard
as you're expecting it to,
but as you swipe throughthere, her image starts
to flicker a little bit.
- Oh, roll again. Imean, okay. Attack again.
- Uh, so 14 to hit- 14 hit

(55:49):
- Nine damage.
- So as you swing your axthrough the ghost again, it uh,
- It, uh,- It vaporizes.
- Oh yeah. Vapors- Outta existence.
- Oh, where did it go?Or did someone see it?
Or was it ever here atall? Or did I do that?
These are the questions I'masking myself and all of you.

(56:14):
- I feel like music playing now,
- Existential crisis.
- As I come back into theroom, I'm going to say
that is why we do not desecrate tombs.
- I'm gonna look in the coffin.
- Okay. - , ashe says that on. What did I,
- I just say and you watchanother go. No, I'm kidding.
- - 16 ghosts come out.

(56:37):
- Um, you look in the coffin
and you see a dead bo uh,very old decayed dead body.
- Almost like Callum. Now that's,
- Yeah, that's what Ilook like now, isn't it?
- 32 is not old. You guys need to stop.
- This is the end. I might
as well just put myself inthis coffin and close it up.
Poo, can you put the lidback over the top of me?
If I climb in Glen,

(56:59):
- Suddenly a giant chunkof the ceiling falls down
and lands on Calem and
- Does, there's no cal here. Sorry.
- Call. And it does
11 bajillion damage. ,
- The man dumps out his dice bag.
- . He rolleda natural 11 bajillion
- .

(57:19):
- Now am I seeing to thenorth of Mihir? A door?
- That's the door we came in.
- Yeah. Oh, which is the door we came in?
Yeah, I have, you know whatthe memory goes with the age
- I can.
- That's right. X-Ray justgoes with the stomach. I found.
- Now is, is this, is the,is the aging like permanent?

(57:40):
- Yes sir.- So I'm going to as, as,
as much as I can just checkCallum out to make sure
that is, there's nothing I can do. Are you
- Checking me out? My mom
- ?
Medically, you
- Checked me up before too. I believe
- You've got some weird interest, man.
- I check out the wholeparty. It's what I do.

(58:02):
- You have problems- . Anyway,
- I'm just, I'm gonna go takea peek up this hallway. A
- Column.
Yeah. Did you see a key in there?
- I didn't see any key.I just saw my future.
- Did you look for a key?- No.
- I will go look for a key.
- Alright. Yeah, you'll do that.

(58:23):
- So I'm gonna look in thereand see if I can find a key.
- Alright. Make an investigation
- Check.
I'm convinced there's a key in there.
- Can we stop desecrating the tomb?
- Apparently not.- I'm going
to quietly head away down this hallway
- Following after Callum.

(58:44):
- Just a straight seven.
- A straight seven. Yep. Uh, yeah.
You don't find anythingof interest in there?
- Oh, brother. - I'll, uh,follow, I'll, I'll kind of go up
with the rest of the partyup towards that tunnel by
that door that we were at originally.
- Are you coming? Who?- Of course, of course.

(59:04):
I didn't find a key and I'm, I'm sorry.
I looked in and there and desecrated it.
Did you try hittingthe lid with your head?
You mean knocking ? Ididn't. Do you think I should?
Not this time. Alright,
next time you have me knock on something,
make sure it's something softerthan that door over there.

(59:28):
- Callum, as you come around the corner
into this carved outarea, uh, you see kind
of a makeshift room where it's apparent
somebody has been living in this space,
but there's nobody there currently.
You see a bed roll laidout as well as two,
uh, two small chests and that's about it.

(59:52):
- Do you guys want totouch those ones too? Well,
- You should look inside just
to make sure there's nothing we need.
- I've, um, decided notto touch anymore chest.
They seem to not have a liking towards
me, by the way.
Berg, what did you find in the chest

(01:00:14):
that you went to investigate?
- Um, just some yellow circles.
- Oh, was it honeycomb? Perhaps.
- Perhaps.- I'll be right back.
- Poo, stay here. Don't split the party.
- Don't split the who? There's a party.

(01:00:36):
- Yes, this group- Was, I invited the,
this it is someone's birthday.
Callum, it's your birthday. Well, I
- Ate, ate.
- Happy birthday, Callum.- Happy birthday. Callum.
- I didn't get you any presents.
- I'm personally offended.- I have some
mead if you want some.
- Yes. Use your good teethto blow out the candles.
- , you look likeyou're old enough to drink. Now

(01:00:59):
- I hand you some of mymead, which I keep on my
- Side.
I drink all of it
- Real quick.
Uh, poo how much mead do you ha did you
have in your container?
- Uh, it was pretty full.
I haven't, I haven'tranken any recently. So.
- Fantastic.- Rank
- Callum, I would like you to make a

(01:01:21):
constitution safe, please.
- This went very well in episode one,
- So good.
- 15. Not that, uh, you'refeeling, I'm learning.
- You're feeling a littlefuzzy, but that's about it.
- The best stage.- It's because he is aged.
- Uh, you'll get anegative one on any role,

(01:01:41):
but not disadvantage.
- How was it?- I've had better.
- Oh,- Recently I made
- It myself.
- It was very good though.
You know, I've not had better from you
- So - I could say it's thebest I've ever had from you.
- Well, thank you very much.

(01:02:02):
- Alright, Gareth, uh, go ahead
and make an investigation roll to, uh,
because you said you werechecking out that chest there.
- Actually, I think he saidhe was checking out everyone.
- Yeah, - No, he said hewas checking out that chest.
I, he said that when youguys were going into the
whole mead bit.
Uh, 12. Yeah. You open that chest up
and you find just a bunchof like food stuffs.

(01:02:25):
- Mm-Hmm. and,
and can I check theother one while the other
people are up there drinking?
- Yeah.- Okay. . .
- Um, yeah, this, this chest is seems
to ha be stuck closed.
You can't quite get it open.
- Is it heavy? I mean, isit like a 300 pound chest

(01:02:47):
or is it like No, you know, 50 pounds.
- Not even that. Even probably about 25.
- Okay. Um, I just pick itup and shake it a little bit.
See if anything sounds like anything.
- Uh, go ahead and makea perception check.
Um, it sounds like, uh,
just some textiles sliding around.

(01:03:07):
- Okay. Nothing in these boxes.
- And it doesn't, itdoesn't look like, uh,
I guess that's a bed there.
Is that straight on the groundor is it up a little bit?
Like, can we see underneath the bed?
- It's just a bed roll on the ground.
- I will continue advancing slowly.
- Okay.- Wobbly but quiet quietly, I should say.
Not slowly. Is this a door at the end

(01:03:29):
or is our, have we reached in the
hallway? What's going on? Um,
- Make a perception check please.
- 21 with a negative one will be 20.
- Alright, you take, get tothe, what looks like the end
of a, a dead end to this hallway.
But as you start to kind offeel that wall there, it,
it's actually it's door.
It's a locked door, but it's a door.

(01:03:51):
- Is it a stone door?- It is a stone door.
- Who would you liketo try knocking again?
- .- No.
- Anyone have a betteridea on how to open it?
- Try pushing it?- Yeah.
One of my best talents ispushing open stone doors.
- Stand aside. Then I push on the door.

(01:04:12):
- Uh, it doesn't budge.- Well done.
- Say open sesame.- Uh, think you just did.
- Oh, you said- .
- What have you just, youknow, rhyme it real hard.
- I don't know any rhymes.
I'm going to subtly starttrying to move them back out

(01:04:34):
by just sort of looking thatway and giving them the,
- I don't pick up on social cues.
- Passive aggressive.Let's get going. .
- I mean either we forcea door open, we have
to go back by the gentleman.
So you know, someone betterstart running at a door.
- I'll take a- Run at the door.
- They probably finishedwith each other by now.

(01:04:55):
- I charged the door.- Alright, go ahead
and make a strength.
- Strength.- Yeah, just a strength check. Okay.
- That would be a 17.
- Alright, you hit, uh, go ahead
and roll. Damage for that please.
- It would be a one.

(01:05:16):
- Oh, so y'all watch us Poo runs up
and slams into that door and it shakes
and about a second later, something very heavy and hard.
Slams the other side of the door back
- .
- And you hear a, a very familiar,

(01:05:38):
- So maybe we should showrun at the other door then.
- Oh, yes. Instead. Oh,that, that sounds like, um,
other gentlemen on the otherside that we saw earlier.
- I'm already walking away.- I'm
so hoping you guys were in through
that door. That would've been fun.
- Yeah. .- Well,

(01:05:59):
I believe I'll had the back this way,
but , uh oh.
Oh, where am I? How did
I end up
- In the meantime?
Poo glitched through the wall somewhere.
- . Hello?
- Hello there. I'm Garth. We need to be careful.

(01:06:21):
Poo may be distracted
- By the- GOLD.
- The poo is distracted by anything shiny.
- I come back to the, the doorthat, that, uh, is in the,
the, the sarcophagus room.
- Okay,- I think I'm going to try
and running at this doorrather than knocking.

(01:06:43):
- Okay.- Oh, that's a 19.
- Okay, that's gonna hit.Go ahead and roll. Damage,
- Uh, eight again.
Yep. That'd be four.
- Alright. Uh, you hitthe, you hit the, uh, door
and it vibrates in its place.
Some dust shakes off of it

(01:07:05):
- And the door wiggled a little bit.
Anyone else want to, uh,slam into the door with me?
- Think- Peter, I think we can do this.
- Wonderful.- Well, thank you Callum.
I can always count on youfor a word of encouragement.
- I'll put my shoulder to it with you.
- That's all.- Let's do it again.

(01:07:26):
- All.- Well that's a three from me.
- Okay.- What am I rolling? Strength.
- Strength.- Oh. Plus my strength.
It's a, an eight actually.
- Okay.- Got to add that.
- A 22. Impressive.
- Both of you run atthis, at this uh, door.
It's a little awkward 'causeyou both run at the same time.

(01:07:48):
And poo you realize that it, it due
to the height differencebetween the two of you.
If, uh, you both hit at thesame time, you are going
to smash Gareth into the door .
Uh, so you veer to the right a little bit
and you end up running into the wall,
but you do no damage to yourself.
- That's permission.- Um,

(01:08:08):
however, Steve, you do make contact
with the door, please roll aD eight for damage, please.
Alright, so that's sixmore points of damage.
So you notice a crack isstarting to develop in this door?
- I'd like to, uh, uh, Iguess I should say it in the

(01:08:29):
character, but, uh, um,
- Er director character,
- .
- Okay. Can I cast aid on all
of this? On all
- This?
You're gonna ask that in character, bro.
You're asking the dm.

(01:08:50):
If you're asking it incharacter, you're asking them,
could I cast a
- On all, uh, well, I'm lettingthem know what I'm doing.
I mean, that, that's why I was trying
to figure out how to phrase it.
'cause I, but I wantedto let them know that's
what I'm doing to, to helpthem with strength and,
and, uh, and with theirhealth and everything too.

(01:09:14):
- I am uninjured friend Paladin.
- Well, it it, but ithelps with your damage too.
- It makes us, us a little bit stronger,
- A little- Bit stronger than we already are.
- Impossible. You add a D four?
- I wouldn't say no.- Alrighty then.

(01:09:38):
- Yeah. And, and yourcurrent hit points increase
by five for the duration
- Temp hp?
- Uh, yeah. Yeah,
- Yeah.
Okay. Well I'm gonna tryrunning at the door again.
- Yeah, me too.- And I was casting it on Callum too.

(01:09:59):
- Alright, so y'all feel a bit stronger
and a little bit more adept at
whatever you're doing presently. It, it
- Must be the old age.
- So, so it, it feels likesomeone gave you a dose
of Ritalin and steroids at the same time.
- Well, should I go first or should you,

(01:10:20):
- Let's just take turns.
- Alright, I'll go firstand then you can go.
- Does a, uh, let's see.
Well, I just rolled a,
I guess a 13.

(01:10:40):
- Yep, that'll hit.- Okay.
And seven, nine damage.
- Alright, so you, as you hit this wall,
this door, you crack this door.
Yeah, this door. Sorry. You crack through it.
- Ooh, - Crack. And, uh, I'dlike you to make a dexterity.
Save please.

(01:11:02):
- 17.- Okay, so here's what happens.
You break through this door, breaks down into rubble,
but as, but you hit it sohard, your momentum keeps going
and you fall forward.
And right when you fall
and hit the floor, anarrow shoots from the wall
that's in front of you andsails over the top of you.

(01:11:23):
- . - So you basicallyjust fell out of the way
of this, this arrow trap onthe other side of the door.
- Oh, I believe there'ssomeone with an arrow in here.
- I follow him up,- But in good news,
better news, the door's open.

(01:11:43):
- Excellent.- Keep moving in. So we may follow.
- Oh yes.- I get up and dust myself off
and then step inside a little more
- Other stairs here.
- And I go down the stairs.I assume they're going down.
- Yep. They go down. The roomyou walk into is complete.
All the, all the wallsin this room are mirrors

(01:12:07):
and you see in the middleof the room a gray box with
some unfamiliar writing all over it.
- Where do we think thearrow came from? Uh,
- Make a procession check.
- Two- . You're no idea.
- It was probably Callum. Oh- Yeah, probably
- Callum was giving, probably giving poo some,

(01:12:29):
uh, teaching you how to dodge.
- You know, when I, I I seethe, uh, the mirrors and I say,
- Gregory, it was, ohno, that's not Gregory
- .
- Excuse me. I thoughthe was someone else.
- So what's the thing wherethat's right in the front?
Is that another one of thosethings with the hole in them?
- Another one of the what?

(01:12:51):
- Yeah, you wouldn't know.I'm, I'm, I'm asking the dm.
- The who. I've never heard of the dm,
- The, the d the dm. Howcan you hear my voice?
- You know, the room had holes.
The gas came out of not your gas.
- What about my gas?- Okay, guys, uh, sorry,
my Skype just tanked on me.
So after the whole Gregorybit you, that Josiah just did,

(01:13:15):
I didn't hear anythingthat you just said. We
- Were talking about gas holes.
- . I was asking what
that thing It was in the middle,
in the back, middle of the room.
Is that something thatlike in the other room
that had the holes in them?
- Uh, that No, that's the gray box.
Okay. With the writing on it.
- And do, does anyone understandwhat the writing says?

(01:13:38):
- I'm looking in the mirror currently,
- Or bog is trying tolook at, at the reflection
of the writing in the mirror.
- Gareth, you understand thelanguage that's being written
that is written across the, uh, box?
Uh, it is infernal.
- Is that the same languagethat was written on the,
the qualed on the flooras when we came in?

(01:13:58):
- Yes. Yes it is.- To the house?
- Yeah. It was infer last time.
- Alright. I read it
to myself in my head, not out loud. Okay.
- Uh, what, what yousee written on the, on
the box, um, as you read it,you can't read all of it,
but it appears to be somethingakin to a binding curse.

(01:14:21):
- And the way it's presented is it, is, is
what I'm looking at the, the spell.
So what I'm looking at isthe, the binding curse.
It's not just likesomeone wrote this here.
So you could say it at a later
- Time and make No, it's written on there
to bind whatever is inside
- Of it.
Right. Okay. That's whatI was thinking. Okay. Yes.

(01:14:43):
Then I I let it Well, no careful.
There's a infertile bindingcurse written on it.
- Written on what?- On the box.
- Oh, is that the box we're looking for?
- I have no idea. But there's an
infertile binding curse on it.
- A binding or what? Or wouldthat have to do with the box?

(01:15:04):
- The box is cursed infernally
with a binding curse.
- Well, that box iscursed. It's a cursed box.
Weren't we looking for a box
and that had some sort ofcurse or something on it?
And we're supposed tobring it to, um, to that,

(01:15:27):
that grumpy a merry person. Was it?
- How big is this box? Is itlike as big as I'm looking at?
Or is it like a, a boxy box?
- At the risk of sounding grim, I mean,
this is the best way I can describe it.
It is about the size of a child's casket.
- But it's not the shape of one.

(01:15:49):
- No, it is. I mean, it's, it's not,
it's not a child's casket,
but it, it is oblong in, in
that particular way.
But it, it is obviously not a casket.
It's, it's a, it's a, youwould assume it to be a,
a ceremonial box of some sort.
- Uhhuh. And is it somethingthat's affixed to the floor

(01:16:12):
or whatever it's sitting on.
- Make, make a investigationcheck for that one, please.
It is, uh,
after looking at it withouttouching it, you can see
that this box has been
affixed in a very permanentfashion to the podium
that it is sitting on.

(01:16:32):
- So it has a binding curse on it.
And it looks like it's very permanently
attached to where it is.
- But don't, we're supposedto bring it with us.
- That will prove difficult
unless someone else has a better idea.
- Callum, do you have any ideas?

(01:16:53):
You usually have very good ideas. I
- Could - I could open it up again.
- Well, that is a very good idea.
- There- Is, unless someone wants
to tell me not to. There is a curse
- On it.
- Yeah, I heard you're thefirst four times you said it.
- No, I do wonder

(01:17:14):
what all these mirrors have to do.
Oh, with this room. Perhaps we should
examine the mirrors first.
- We could break thosetoo. I hear it's good luck.
- I'll break the mirrors.- Oh, great. Here goes poo.
- I don't think I will.- .
- I had an uncle once who

(01:17:36):
- Broke.
So are uncle broke a mirror? I'm sorry. I
- Oh no, I was just filling in dead air.
- Okay. Um, are, are, isthe mirror, are the mirrors?
Like is it, are the walls mirror
or are there mirrorsattached to the walls?
Or is there any type of like it is

(01:17:57):
separation between the mirrors?
- No, there, it's just thewalls are just straight
mirror going across.
- What about the floor and ceiling
- Also mirrored?
- So as we're stepping,we're stepping on a mirror.
- Yeah. Okay. A very,a very sturdy mirror.
- Okay. So it doesn't, it doesn'tfeel as though we're about

(01:18:18):
to break through for No.
Mm-Hmm, Three largerindividuals in another
one. Okay.
- Can I see the reflectionof the casket in the mirror?
I can roll for that. Yes.
- No, you don't, you don't haveto. It's, it's very obvious.
You can, you're looking atan infinitude of yourselves,
so you can definitely tell that.
- Hmm. This is rather trippy.- .

(01:18:42):
- Are all the mirrors the same?
- In what way?- Like, are there seams or lines
or anything that seemslike any of 'em stand out?
- Uh, make an investigation check please.
- That should be a 14 investigation.
- Uh, for the best of, fromthe best of what you can tell.
Um, the only times that the mirrors
aren't completely solidgoing across is when

(01:19:05):
they meet at the corner.
- And what's there?- It just the a seam where they,
where they meet at each other.
- So just mirror on mirror? Mm-Hmm.
- .- Okay.
- I still think we couldbreak one just to see.
- Well, I shouldn't we try liftin or opening the box first?

(01:19:26):
Or maybe what's inside wouldbe easier to carry than,
than it would be to break thebox off of this A pedestal.
- I give it a little, Igive it a little kick.
- I- Do you kick the box or the pedestal?
- The pedestal.- Okay.
Uh, go ahead
and make a I'm gonna setmy DC here real quick.

(01:19:52):
Cool. Uh, go ahead and makean attack. Roll please.
Just a straight 20. Oh boy.
Oh, a straight withit. With your strength.
- Yes. I, I did. And it was,it was awful. It was a one.
- Oh, you just barely nudgedthe podium with your foot.
It doesn't do anything
- Good.
And it, it looks likethis casket cannot be

(01:20:12):
lifted off of the pedestal.
- Uh, no,- But based on what she said,
it sounds like this is what she wants
because whatever's inside belongs to her.
And I don't want to be the one to say it,
but you know what's inside hers.
You know
- What you're saying is we should open it.
- Yeah. I mean, she wants what'sinside, right? Not the box.

(01:20:34):
- I mean, she wouldn't havesit us here if we were going
to die from opening it.
Right? She wants it back, I assume.
Well, she's not happywith us. Well that is
- True.
Yeah, but these guys probably aren't
happy with her either, so
- I didn't mean to punchthat guy quite so hard.
- I believe you, but you mademe money, so I'm okay with it.

(01:20:58):
- I made me money too, butI've never gotten it. I think
- I, I'm gonna try andopen it. . Oh,
- I'm stepping back.
- Yeah, I'll help you a- Go to open it then.
- Okay. Um, I'm gonnahave one of you roll you,
the two of you pick who rolls
and I'll give you advantage for the help.

(01:21:19):
- I've been rolling after. Rolla couple ones already today.
So Callum, it's all yours.
- Well, are we rolling
strength or are we rollingsomething else? 'cause
- You're, you're gonna be rolling.
Strength. You're to open this box.
- I'll roll.- Yeah. .
- Well, you have, you have advantage
and you, I believe eightis still working too.
So I think that gives youa plus four for your roll.

(01:21:39):
- Well,- Thank you. I
- Have the D four this for advantage.
Thank goodness for advantage.
So that's 21 plus four. So 25.
- Oh yeah. You flip thetop of that box open easy.
And you see a, as you flipthat open, you hear a loud
unearthly shriek.

(01:22:00):
- Oh, there- And an ethereal form of No, no.
Mary Juang pops out of this box. Oh,
- Mary.
- And she turns and shesees herself in the mirror.
And, uh, you watch as, as shesees herself in the mirror,
her form corrupts and ispulled into the mirror

(01:22:24):
and you can no longer see it.
- Well, I think that went well,
- .
- That must have beenwhat she wanted us to do.
- Can I make a perception check
to see if I can understandit a little bit better?
- Yeah, I'm, that's gonnabe a religion check, sir,
go ahead and do that.

(01:22:45):
- I would like to break themirror. Please. Uh, don't
- Look at it.
Um, a 13
- I, - You, I will say basedoff of what you know about
superstition andreligion, you do know that
the reason why they covermirrors when people die is

(01:23:06):
because super.
There there's severalcultures that believe that
if the person,
if the deceased person's spiritsees itself in the mirror,
it will be trapped there.
It'll be trapped withinthe mortal plane forever
and it can't cross over to the other side.
- Alright? All right.- So how does that make you feel?

(01:23:26):
- ? Uh, now whether
or not you want toshare that with the rest
of the party is up to you, but
that is something that you do know.
- Okay? Um, uh, I, I am notsharing it with the party
- Then I think my point still stands.
- What's your point?- I would like to break the mirror.
- Okay. How are you going to do that?

(01:23:47):
- I'll use the hilt in my sword.
- Okay. Do you want todo it right where you are
or do you wanna do itwhere she went in the
- Yeah, like where she, like over the, I mean,
I'm not gonna stand on the coffin,
but it's one big mirror, so itdoesn't really matter to me.
- Alright. Uh, go aheadand roll your attack.
- That would be a 20. Ooh.
- Yeah. That's like, that's a hit.

(01:24:10):
- That mirror's not getting away from you.
- You hit that mirror andit sends a big old crack
across the mirror.
- Oh, let's reflect on this-
- And I ca Callum, I would like you
to make a perception check.
Please.
- I can do that. It should be a 16.

(01:24:32):
- Um, you notice a faint just a,
a very almost imperceptible shadow
that's dwelling on theopposite side of that mirror.
And it's crossing from mirror to mirror
to mirror throughout the room so
you can kind of, you can see

(01:24:54):
that you had cracked the mirror,
but you don't, it doesn'tseem like it did much
to affect the entity.
- Quick point of orderthat I'd like to point out.
Uh, aid is not the same as blis
and we should not beadding deforce. And that's,
- Well, it's fine.
We can, since we did that, we can say

(01:25:14):
that it was blessed instead of a,
because I was, I was trying, I was going
between the two of thoseanyways. And I have both of them.
- We know how to play dand d around here. Yeah,
- I'm just saying ratherthan red conning everything.
- We'll, we'll- Play that. Just pretend like the
hit points don't exist.
It's fine. Yeah. Inever added them anyway,
- So.
- Alright. So she seemed
unaffected by the crack in the mirror.

(01:25:37):
The crack. Let's all talk at one time. One
- More time.
Okay. That sounds like a great
- Idea.
- Shall we break them all?
- Was she affected by the mirror crack?
- It does not appear to be that way,
- But it's not, I dunno if that'll help.
- It's not broken though, right?
I mean, it's not gone, it's just cracked.

(01:25:58):
- It's true. If we break all the mirrors
completely, I suppose maybe
- Have we done what we're supposed to do?
Or are we just hitting meals
for fun now? I'm not quite sure.
- I had fun, so.
- Well, let me give ita whirl then. Perhaps
- We should all hit the samemirror in the same place.

(01:26:22):
- Okay.- To hope to hopefully break it.
- That sounds reasonable to me.
Oh, Bob, would you like to have a go?
- Uh, sure. Where, where did she go in? Uh,
- So you want to hitexactly where she, where,
uh, call did, um,
- Well, uh, did, I guess, did we notice the form

(01:26:43):
that's moving around the shadow or no?
- No.- Then I, I guess I would,
then I would try to hit where she went in.
- All right. Uh, go aheadand make your tack roll.
- Uh, 10. - Okay. You hit,go ahead and roll. Damage.
- Uh, 10.- All right.

(01:27:03):
So you, as you hit this,uh, the crack, uh, the,
a crack spreads out even further
and a portion of the mirrorfalls down off of the wall.
- I'm gonna keep my eyeout for the shadow being.
- Alright. Roll a perception check.
- 11.- Uh, you notice that it's, it,
it's still just kind of,
you don't see it like as a constant thing.

(01:27:24):
It just kind of pops in and out.
It's just kind of like a vague trace
of a face almost as it's moving around.
Just kind of examining the four of you.
Um, you also notice thatit does appear on the
mirror that's on the floor.
So it doesn't necessarilyseem to be beholden
to what's just attachedto these mirrors itself.

(01:27:47):
- I mean, can he tell if,if it looks at all like her
or it it could, you don't see it, right?
That's why I'm just wonderingthough if Callum actually
thinks that it's her or ifit's a different spirit.
- I mean, as far asI'm concerned, it's her
- And the wall that themirror crumbled from,
it just looks like one of the regular

(01:28:08):
walls that we've been seeing.
- Yeah, it just looks like earthand wall behind the mirror.
- Okay.- And there's nothing,
there's nothing else in the room?
- Nope.- Just the box.
- I have an idea.- Oh dear.
- Oh, well, it would seem that this

(01:28:33):
ghosty thing was boundto the box with that
a binding spell thatyou mentioned earlier.
And when we opened the box it was unbound.
Maybe we should try to rebound it.

(01:28:53):
But that is a, just athought that I was thinking.
- I don't have the ability to do that.
- Oh, but what about the words on the box?
I want those a binding spell.
- It may be, but I only readin frontal. I don't speak it.

(01:29:16):
- Oh, well, that is unfortunate.
- Do we think that she needed the box
to free her soul or her spirit?
- Uh, it seems like maybe shemight have put it in there.
I'd say,
- Well, it was a bet a rad.
- I don't remember betting onthis, but you know. No, no.

(01:29:37):
If I did, the odds are in our favor.
- If, if I'm rememberingcorrectly, correctly,
and I'm probably not.
She said that she wageredsomeone, uh, for this box
and she lost when I won.
- Yes. And they said shehad very high stakes.

(01:30:00):
I would say your soul is quite high.
- Oh, my soul is high.
- Not gonna touch that. Oh
- Boy.
It's always four 20 inyour world, isn't it? POH
- Four 20.

(01:30:22):
I, I don't understand what that means.
- I know I said it outta game.- Oh,
- What is this game youare playing .
- How can poo hear my voice? .
- Well, it's public as you're talking,
- .
- It's, it's a very spiritual room.
- .- So what you guys doing?

(01:30:45):
- I'll break a mirror. Oh,
why not? Everyone else is doing it.
- I'm just watching.
- Does a 20? Yep. Okay.
How about a 12 damage?
- Yeah. You shatter that mirror.

(01:31:06):
- Well, that's how you do it.
Column or do you want to perceive
- ?
- Okay. You guys are borderlinemeta gaming at this point.
- I I mean,- I mean, what I meant to say was
- - Go ahead,

(01:31:28):
- Take a look.
- That that's what I meant to say.
I didn't, I didn't say anything.
- .- Gotcha.
- I'm just gonna check the hallway while
they're breaking things.
- You looking for something specific?
- Nope. Just guarding.
Just making sure nothingis gonna sneak up on
us or, all right.
- Uh, make a perceptioncheck. Please, please.

(01:31:50):
You don't notice anything.
- Wow. Can I use my passivewisdom perception ?
- Uh, no, because youwent up there specifically
to do it imp passively.
- So if I just wandered upthere, then I could have used my,
but now that I'm actuallytrying to do something,
- It's the thing about, thething about passive perception,

(01:32:10):
that is when you see thingsthat are going on, like say
for instance, if someonewas stealthing around you
that you didn't know was there,if you were to notice them.
- Okay, got it.- I've had another thought.
- ,- She wanted the box, right? Yes.

(01:32:31):
Why don't we just try to dislodge the box
and bring it back and then we'll have done
what she asked worked for me.
Sometimes there's a simplesolution as when it chat.
- All right. So- I'm gonna see if I can, uh,
dislodge the box from itspedestal then, I guess.

(01:32:54):
- All right. Uh,- Like try to slip my,
my ax in between it andthe, the pedestal that's
- Oh, you're gonna bluntforce it. Okay. Well
- Like, kinda like see ifthere's like a little crack
or something and try to Yeah, yeah.
Like crowbar it out of there.
- Okay. Go ahead

(01:33:14):
and, uh, make a strength check.
- Alright. Oh,
that would be a net 20 plus four
- .
All right. Uh, you wedgedthe blade of your ax
underneath the seam ofwhere this box is affixed

(01:33:38):
and you just pry that box up
and it, most, most of the bottom
of the box comes up with it.
Um, there are four points that were bolted
to the podium on theinside of the box that, uh,
stayed affixed to the podium.
But you've got themajority of the box there.
- I'm beginning to thinkwe should have tried this

(01:33:59):
before opening it.
True. I think you did a greatjob, so Well, thank you.
You are just too kind. Call me
- .
So I guess I'll come over
and help him try to pry the rest of it up.
- No, he's got the majority of it just
- There.
We can, we so we can move it off of it.

(01:34:19):
- Yeah, he, it is just, there's the four,
there's four little bitsof the bottom of the box
that were bolted Okay.
To the podium that arestayed affixed to the podium
because, you know, they're bolted there.
So he basically brokethe bottom of the box.
- Alright. Are we gonna beable to carry this thing?
- It's probably about only three

(01:34:40):
or four feet long by about, you know,
two feet wide. So
- It's maybe 5,000 pounds.
- Yeah, Callum can carry it.- Here you go, Callum.
- And we to it over to Callum .
- I call,- I run away.
- I I move step back. Istep back very quickly.

(01:35:00):
- Is this actually happening,- ? No, no, no.
- That's- Not actually.
- Okay.- Sorry. But that would've been
- .
- So are all, it seems assix, seven mirrors broken now
- For the sake of time?
Yeah, I I we don't need torp every mirror breaking.

(01:35:23):
If you guys wanna break themirrors. You break the mirrors.
- Okay, sure. Yes.
- What, when they broke the floor,
is it just flooring underneath the mirror?
- It's actually a neverending pit. I need everybody.
No, it's a, yeah, it's just the ground.
- Uh, when all the mirrorsbroke, did I see any
of the shadow lady move anything?
- Oh, yeah. She's justshifting through each

(01:35:43):
of the shards on the floor.
It's still unaffected
and it's still deliberatelyjust staring at you guys.
- You know, I blow her a little kiss
- . Oh,
- Okay.
So the th the, the remainingthree of you watch as
Callum blows a kiss at thebroken mirror on the ground,

(01:36:05):
- Callum. Oh, what are you doing?
- Gotta see. The extrayears have been, uh,
pretty kind to me.
Um, but what I was gonna say, no,
the lady went into the mirror, you know,
and she's kind offloating around in there.
Don't you see her?
- Um, I don't think that I do.
- Uh, everybody make a perception check.
If you want to see, if you see

(01:36:28):
- 18- Eight without the teen,
- I an 11, but from the top of the stairs.
- All right. Uh, so orba, nowthat it's been pointed out
to you, you do see kijust a, the, a, a whisper
of a facial outline that is

(01:36:48):
shifting throughout the, uh, mirror shards
that are on the floor andit is just staring blankly
at the four of you
- Do.
Okay. So since I see it now,
do I think it looks anything like her?
- Vaguely. But like I said, it's just a,
it's just the slightestwhisper of an image.

(01:37:10):
You can't make it out completely.
- Okay. I, when I did the , um,
bless instead of the other thing.
Um, I guess part of that isa sprinkling of holy water.
Um, I don't know howmuch holy water I have,
but, uh, can I do something like that
and like try to pour it onthe mirror or something?

(01:37:34):
- Uh, if you, if you would like to
- Yeah, I'll do a little bitjust to see what happens.
- Alright. As you pour thisholy water onto the mirrors,
you hear again the unearthly whale
and you watch this shadowyform just seeps into the walls
of, uh, of the, uh, theearth and walls of this room

(01:37:55):
and just goes elsewhere.
- So away from the holy water.- Yep.
- Holy water. Batman,- .
- Well, that water must be pretty potent.
- It's, - You know, itreminds me I'm a bit thirsty

(01:38:17):
and a Callum a drunk, all my me
- True.
- Uh, could I have a sip?- Sure. .
- I'll take a sip of his holy water.
- Okay. It burns. No, I'm kidding. Yeah.
- it. Shrivels.

(01:38:38):
- Oh, well we've got the casket.
I mean the box or the, whatever it is. And
- Yeah,- There doesn't seem to be anything
else around here.
I think we've done our job.
- Perhaps I should carry thebox. It has infernal on it.
I feel as though one of thepaladins should carry it.

(01:39:01):
- Yes. That, that makes sense to me.
If you need a hand, let meknow. I have two of them,
- So I'm following them.
Carrying the box, going up the stairs.
- Alright.- Hoping Callen doesn't shoot a stray
arrow again at us.
- Nah, just the one keep you on your toes.
- There's boxy boy.
Alright, why don't we checkwhat's down here, uh, to the

(01:39:24):
west as we're leaving.
- Is that your west or our west?
- It's the Westy west.
Ah, this is a way
to circumvent the two ogers.
- I don't think we have togo past the ogers at all,
but we can go up this way. Yeah. Yes.
- This is where we thoughtthose, the fly things bru.

(01:39:49):
- So just so we don't have a long Yeah.
Blank period on here while you guys
are cruising around the map.
The only reason why I stayedon there was I was gonna see if
you guys were gonna gopast that gold again,
but you took it alternate route.
So yes,
- yellow, yellow,- Yellow.
No
- .

(01:40:09):
- Nope.- My chand is of fame and fortune.
- Um, and as you come out of the fireplace
and into the kitchen,I would like you guys
to make a perception check.
Please.
- I would like to bequiet at the very least.
- Okay. You can make a, a self check then.
- Given the scene thatwe left behind. .

(01:40:33):
Oh, she's on fire withan at 20 perception.
Hey, I did 21 stealth.
- I'm on fire. I gota five for perception.
- I got eight.- All right.
Uh, Callum and Gareth, you see on the table
that's in the kitchen, first of all.
Yeah. You see on thetable in the kitchen, uh,

(01:40:53):
that there is a piece of paa piece of paper on the table
that wasn't there when you guys showed up.
Callum, with that Nat 20 that you rolled.
I will say that you also notice a set of
cloven hoof prints in the dust that is
around the, uh, table.

(01:41:14):
- Guys. I think a goat left us note.
- Can I tell what, uh, typeof language it's written in?
- It's written in common.- Okay. What does it say? Goat?
- I actually speak goat- . I,
- But I'm not very good.
I'm actually quite bad

(01:41:34):
- Rockstar die- .
Ah,
- I I had to have my own dad joke tonight.
- Right? So on the, on thepiece of paper, it says
to my four new friends, welcome to my house.
Had I known you werecoming, I would've set
you a place at my table.

(01:41:55):
But alas, you intruded at an inopportune
time for myself.
And you caught me before mypreparations were complete.
Alas, you have cost me something that
was mine by arcane law.
And so I have now takenan interest in you.

(01:42:18):
I'll be in touch. Butuntil then, yours truly,
Damien m
- He seems nice.
- A goat named Damian.- Yep. Damien
- Not too ominous.
Alright. Right. Uh, is the,
is anyone else like around the house?
They were coming to check things out

(01:42:39):
around the house before weleft. No one's still there?
- Uh, yeah, there's, there'sstill nobody else in the house.
- I wish we would've been able to, to
just forget about everything.
I would just said
- Just, I'm sorry,
I don't have the script of interpretation.

(01:43:00):
Can somebody
- Help me with that?
- He sure wishes things went better.
- Okay.- I know what I was trying
to say is I would've liked to have sat at
that table and eat that food.
Damien was mentioning.
It has been a while sinceI've had a good rest.
Or it is anything to eat.

(01:43:23):
- Perhaps someday we will, but
after we deliver this, perhaps
I shall treat everyone to a meal.
- Well, let's get going
- .
Now what's the chances thoughthat we bring this to Mary
and she gets, uh, awfullyupset that we opened it?

(01:43:46):
- Did she tell us not to open it?
- No, but she didn't tell us we could.
- Do we have to tell her we it?
- I think she's gonna figureit out pretty quickly.
Um, so what I, I mean, I'm notproposing we don't tell her
'cause I'd like to see what she says.
I'm just proposing that maybewe take a little nap first,

(01:44:07):
then we go tell her
- I like the way you think.
A nap sounds marvelous.
- Where can we do that safely?
- Are there, there's a bed inthe other room, I believe. I
- Don't think we fit. We
- Can- .

(01:44:27):
Damien said we were welcome andhe wanted us to stay anyway.
So seems only right.
- What time of day is it?
- Uh, what time of day did you say?
- Yes,- It is
probably about two in the morning.
At this point.
- I would prefer we takecare of our business first.

(01:44:50):
- I prefer we not sleep in this place.
- I'd prefer we just decideon what we're going to do.
Are we going to eat or sleep?
- If you two want to stay here,
I'm sure the Paladins couldtake care of the business.
- Yeah, split the party. Thatsounds like a great idea.
- You're welcome.- No, I best,

(01:45:10):
I guess we best say this thing through
- Great disposal,- But
before we go, um, you wouldn'thappen to have any more
of those tingly hands thatyou tingled me with before
- Hard.
- Excuse me, . The tingly has, yes.
I get lots of requests for that.

(01:45:33):
- I put a hand on poo and cast cure words.
- I thank you. How cured do I get?
- You get six cured- Better than nothing
- And 13 more for me.
Oh wow.
- Look at me. I'm a PanIN.- .
- Does anyone else needhealing aside from me?

(01:45:56):
- , uh, can I do anything for 'em?
I'm down to zero for that. Uh,
- Yeah, if you're out oflaying on, laying on of hands,
you can't, there's not much you can do.
And I think, are you outof it yourself or bug?
- Um, I don't think, I don'tthink I use lay on hands.

(01:46:18):
- Well, you can always, you know,
put your hands on yourself.
- Oh, can I? Yeah, then I will do that.
Uh, alright, uh, guess we're going
to her place. Scary. Mary
- .
- Let's go see if Mary's home.
- All right, so you guysare heading back to the, uh,

(01:46:38):
heading back to the as the Ang Estate.
- Yes, we - Are. Yes. We'rethe merry traveling band. Who?
- Mary Traveling band.
- All right, so you guyscome back to this large, uh,
mansion esque compound.
And as you approach the gate,

(01:47:02):
you notice there's nobody at the gate.
- Shall we just leave it here?- No, we can't deliver. It
- Seems like a bad sign to me.
- We bring it to her. Wedon't wanna leave it anywhere.
Someone might take it.
- There's nothing in it.
Maybe we should putsome dirt inside so they
- Don't, it's important to her.
So we bring it to her.

(01:47:23):
- Oh, maybe it's a decorative piece.
- It could be. - I mean, tobe fair, she told us that what
inside belongs to her.
So I don't know if the boxis necessarily the important
part, but I think this will go well,
- .
- Alright, let's keep going.
Actually, I don't reallyknow where we're going.
I kind of got poofed in thefirst time around. You said

(01:47:45):
- We're here, right?
Yeah. You're, you're there.
You're at, you're at the compound.
- We're just gonna start moving
towards where we went before.
- Okay? So as you guys move in,especially you caem, you're,
you, you're noticing that whenyou first came in, you were,
you had, uh, specifically mentioned
that you were keeping an eye out to see
how many armed individuals there were.

(01:48:06):
There were in the entire way.
And I said you lost trackaround 30. Yeah. No,
- That was, that was Callum.
- Yeah. So I said- . Uhhuh.
- Did I say Caleb Uhhuh? I am sorry.
I don't know why I keep doing that.
This, this is the only episode.
- The my soul just diesa little bit each time.
- Caleb, Caleb, Caleb. Caleb. Caleb.
Tell me how much 32 is old again, Caleb.

(01:48:29):
Anyway, , and I'm not 32.
I'm just throwing that out thereto that listening audience.
I'm not, I'm older. Um, much What
- Much- Rockwell your character guys too.
- .- Um,
- Immune to rocks.
- Immune to rocks.
Um, well, I suppose your patron saint
probably is now .

(01:48:50):
- He rolls 'em away.- .
Well, I was talking about,uh, Steven, but anyway. Oh,
- I get it now.
- Um, anyway, uh, so you, you're moving through here
and like I said, you noticethat this time you don't see
anybody armed or otherwise,
but you do see a lot of redstreaks across the floor.

(01:49:13):
- No, I'm not particularlygood at tracking or following
or really understanding how nature works,
- .
Um,
- But something tells me thatsomething bad happened here.
- What lead you to that?
- Um, the lack people andthe presence of blood.
- Oh, is that blood? Ithought it was jello.

(01:49:34):
- You taste it and out.- Perhaps not.
- I'll. I see a long
and beautiful friendship between Callum
and Poo. Is it blood?
- Uh, it sure tastes that way.
- Oh yes. I'm pretty surethat is blood and not jello.

(01:49:55):
- Are there any hoof points here?
- ,- Uh, make an investigation check.
- Oh, what about a survival check though?
- Um,- Given your understanding of
what hooves would be like withyour experience and nature.
I'll allow it. I'llallow a survival check.

(01:50:16):
- Woo. 15. Not great, but,
- Um, you don't notice any real distinct
footprints in the smears.
It's just a, like, something was smearing
but not stepping on the floor.
- It would seem thatif there is anything in
here, it's long gone.

(01:50:37):
So why don't we just keep going?
- Are you guys gonna gointo the throne chamber
where you guys saw Maryor you just gonna ditch?
- Let's do it.- Yep. Do it.
- Might as well not, uh, you know,
ruin whatever this encounter is.
- ,- Keep,
- Keep your eyes open.
I always keep my eyes openunless I'm sleeping. Okay.

(01:50:58):
- Sometimes there's openwhen he is asleep too.
- How do you know what Ido when I sleep?
- Sleeper.
- Um, all right, so you guysgo into the throne chamber
and you found where everybody went.
You see in a one corner, you see a big old mound of
what is now probably human pudding. Um,

(01:51:20):
- I told you it was jello- . Let's go upstairs.
- There's, there's alwaysroom for jello. Uh,
- Not of taste it just for sure
- .
- And then, uh, he's just- Jello
- And you put it in the cup of- . We can edit
- That.
There's, there's jokes to be made and I'm
not going to make them.
- We can edit that, right? .

(01:51:42):
- Um, and then on thethrone in the, in the,
uh, throne chamber.
Actually two both sides ofit. You guys remember the two?
Well-dressed trolls thatwere on either side of Mary.
- They were gentleman trolls.
- . They were, they were,
they are propped up againstthe wall sat prostrate

(01:52:02):
and their eyes have been removed.
And then you see where in Mary's throne,
a dried shriveled husk.
That was her body.
- I'd know that. Dryshriveled husk anywhere
- You would.
- No, I said that out of game.
Oh, again, poo is listening

(01:52:27):
to me in real life.
He's very spiritual. It's kind of creepy.
He'll be a palate and yet, yeah, .
- Alright, and so thatconcludes today's episode.
We'll go ahead and leave it there.
