Speaker 1 (00:36):
You're the only name.
You're the only name.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
You're the only name.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Hello and welcome to Plays on Word Radio, where we
discuss, analyze, work and playon the Word of God.
Thank you for joining us onthis excursion.
Today let's join Pastor Teddy, also known as Fred David Kenny
Jr, the founder of Plays on WordTheater, as he does a deep dive
into the Word of God.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Amen, amen.
Well, welcome to everybody, allof you.
Oh yeah, josh Taylor, pastorJosh Taylor, who I have not seen
in a minute.
Hopefully we'll have aninterview with him sometime soon

(01:53):
, so welcome.
Yeah, we are rocking throughthe prep for our Dan play, our
Daniel play.
But part of the day job is whatwe do.
We're missionaries, man.
We go all over the place.
We go around bringing the wordof God to schools, prisons,

(02:15):
churches, living rooms.
We even did a I don't even knowwhat you'd call it.
It's called CrossroadsGathering Place in North
Carolina, here on Oak Island, north Carolina.
It is a coffee shop, slashbookstore or general store, but

(02:42):
it's Christian, so put Christianin front of that.
It's a Christian coffee shop,christian general store,
christian bookstore.
Very cool people that own itand run it.
They love the Lord and servethe Lord and we're looking
forward to bringing our GenesisJoe play.
We did Pete there early on thisyear.
We did our Pete play there andlet me just tell you a funny

(03:06):
story.
Katie and I went over to JerseyMike's on Oak Island recently
because they were having their Idon't know.
They have these sales everyonce in a while where you get
points or something like thatJersey Mike's.
So Katie watches that stuff andshe's like, oh yeah, we can get

(03:29):
a half, a sub or a whole subfor whatever.
It's like running a sale.
So we went over and we weresitting there and this young
lady was walking out and puttingher glasses on or sunglasses,

(03:50):
and Katie looks at her and says,oh, you look really familiar.
And the girl says, well, yeah, and she starts telling us where
she works a couple differentjobs, where she works a couple
different jobs and then Katiejust says, do you ever go to
Crossroads Gathering Place?
And the girl lit up.

(04:11):
She said oh, yeah.
And Katie said, did you go to aplay there?
And the girl said oh.
And then she looked over at meand she was like, oh, what?
She went to the Pete play andshe was like, whoa, that's us.
She went to the Pete play andshe was blown away.
She absolutely loved the Peteplay there and it was just cool

(04:39):
to run into somebody that was atthat performance.
So we go around and we do theseplays all over the place.
We're going to be firing up thePete boat and we have a
Northeast tour coming up.
We do have one play we're goingto do in North Carolina at the
top of our tour which isstarting, is coming up and I'm

(05:02):
going to give you guys the dates.
You actually can get this ifyou just go to playsonwordorg
slash calendar and you can seewhat's happening, but I'm going
to give them to you anyway, justin case you guys are typing or
URL challenged and it'sdifficult to type it in.
Challenged and it's difficultto type it in.
So we will be in New Jersey inAugust, which is coming up

(05:41):
Today's.
Let's see, today is August 1st,so yeah, we're in August.
Wow man, wow man.
What happened to the time?
Lord, have mercy.
Well, the good thing is we arespeeding our way to a nice cool
fall, hopefully here in northcarolina, because it's been
africa here.
Did I tell you I actually?

(06:02):
Uh, after church on Sunday, Iwas loading up the trailer
because we have to set up churchevery Sunday.
We're not in a permanentlocation yet, so we have to
break down, set up and all that.
And I was in the trailer andthe trailer is all metal and the
ceiling is metal and the top ofmy head touched the ceiling

(06:25):
when I was in the trailer.
I see a lot of you guyscringing.
It was so hot.
It was like touching a fryingpan and the top of my head
sizzled.
I couldn't believe it.
Yeah, and I don't have a lot ofinsulation up there, if you
know what I mean.
So, yeah, that was not fun.
I'm still smarting from that.

(06:47):
Our East Coast tour we arekicking off on Friday, august
8th, and this we will be at theQuaker Street Bible Church in
Delance in new york.

(07:08):
I'm trying to make sure I getthese right.
Yeah, we're gonna be there, andthat is from 6 to 8 pm.
Friday, august 8th, again thequaker street.
Quaker street bible church inNew York State.
And yeah, from 6 to 8, we'relooking forward to that Doing

(07:33):
that one.
That's Friday August 8th.
Then the next day, saturday, august 9th, we're going to be at
Bethlehem Community Church inDelmar not Belmar but Del with a

(07:55):
D Delmar, new York, and thatwill be from 6 to 8 pm and we're
looking forward to that as well.
We're looking forward to thatas well.
We're looking forward to thiswhole tour.
Please pray for your boy here, because I'm getting older man.
Yeah, so I need to find someold guys to play.

(08:19):
Actually, they're all kind ofold.
I don't know.
Pete's not really that old, butPete can get old and so can
Paulie.
Yeah, that's on the horizon too.
We only gave you a taste of thePaul play when we went to
Albania.
It was just a 20-minute thing, but, yeah, especially now that

(08:40):
we've taught through the entireBook of Acts.
At Calvary, southport, we didthe entire book of Acts and most
of Paul's letters, so there'sjust the extra level of ready to
go-ness with the Paul play.
Paulie, we call him Paulie,it's my cousin, paulie.

(09:00):
Yeah, so I see some of you guyslaughing.
I hear you.
I hear you.
So, yeah, we're going to be atthe.
That's going to be on Saturdayat the Bethlehem Community
Church, and then we're going tobe August 10th.
We're going to be at OceanGrove, the Boardwalk Pavilion in

(09:22):
New Jersey.
So you New Jerseyites yes, comeout for that August 10th.
Please pray.
We need your prayer over thisfor good weather.
Low wind, please.
I don't want the boat blowingaway.

(09:43):
Low wind, please.
I don't want the boat blowingaway.
We need your prayer for theLord to bring people out.
Every time we do it, the Lordbrings specific people out that
need to hear the gospel, thatneed to be encouraged, brothers
and sisters in Christ.
So I want to encourage you toplease.
Seriously, I'm trying torecruit prayer.
I need to ride a wave of prayerfor this whole tour.
All right, will you pleasecommit to pray over this tour?

(10:05):
Trying to recruit prayer, Ineed to ride a wave of prayer
for this whole tour.
All right, will you pleasecommit to pray over this tour
and I'll report back to you, allright?
So yeah, we're going to be atOcean Grove August 10th.
Sunday afternoon, august 10th, 4pm to 6 pm.
Going to see my man, don Cleese, over there, yeah, and Randy

(10:27):
Yelton is going to be holdingthat down and I believe he's
going to be playing drums inthat event.
And then our next play afterthat we're going to be, let's
see, probably recuperating fromthat weekend Pretty grueling.

(10:48):
Then we have another Pete playat Trinity Tabernacle of
Gravesend in New York, andthat's Brooklyn, brooklyn, new
York.
So we're Brooklyn, new York.
So we're doing Brooklyn, bringing Pete to Brooklyn.

(11:09):
And the last time we broughtPete to Brooklyn was in a park
for my man, richie Cancel, yeah.
And at Calvary Life, yeah, ourbrothers and sisters, shout out
to you guys.
I know a lot of y'all listening.
We need to get you guys back onthe podcast actually.

(11:31):
So we will do that at somepoint, god willing.
Yeah, if you are in theBrooklyn area, new York, new
York City, in the vicinity, north Jersey, roll on out to
this.
It's at Trinity Tabernacle Ilove it, trinity Tabernacle of

(11:56):
Gravesend, new York, and that'sgoing to be from 7 to 9.
That's Friday, august 15th, andthen the next day.
You know what they call these inthe music industry.
They call these suicide tourswhen you do shows back to back

(12:17):
to back to back.
I don't call that.
I don't call it a suicide tour,I call it a praise tour
Empowered by the Spirit of God.
Amen, it's not a suicide, it'sa praise tour empowered by the
Spirit of God.
Amen, it's not a suicide, it'sa life tour.
Yeah, I'm being poured out likea drink offering to the Lord.
Please pray that the cupdoesn't run out during this tour

(12:41):
.
So this Saturday, august 16th,we're going to be back in Brick
Tucky, new Jersey.
Yeah, at the PresbyterianChurch, the Brick Presbyterian
Church, and that's over onDrumpoint Road, 111, drumpoint
Road, brick Township, and we'regoing to be there from 7 to 9 pm

(13:04):
, saturday, august 16th.
Yeah, so a lot of our family, even our family from CCLW, if
you have not seen the P play ina while.
Come on out.
It'd be a great opportunity tosee loved ones we have not seen

(13:26):
in a little bit of a while.
Come on out and we pray.
You'd be blessed.
I mean, hey, it's the Word ofGod.
So you know?
Oh, I've already seen the paintplate.
Well, you know, if you tookthat approach to the Gospel of
Matthew, mark, luke or John, howmalnourished would you be.

(13:48):
I would challenge you to take adifferent approach.
You know, yeah, I saw the Peteplay back in 2017, blah, blah,
blah.
You know I'm going to get a doseof the word again.
It's not even completely thesame.
It is the same story.
There's a couple of things, acouple of tweaks.

(14:09):
It's even better.
It's delivered even better.
I believe it's more anointednow than ever, which is hard to
believe.
Some of you guys are like wow, that's a hard one.
I'd like to see that.
Well, come on out.
All right, come on out, make anevent of it.
Invite somebody that needs.
All right, come on out, make anevent of it.

(14:45):
Invite somebody that need.
Put it this way this is not justan opportunity for me to be a
missionary and do my work.
Those of you that are in thebody of Christ.
I'm charging you, I'mchallenging you.
Find somebody that the Lordputs on your heart and invite
them out to this.
It will cost you and themnothing.
Invite them out to this.
Let the Lord do his work too.
He'll work on their heart.
You just get the courage, prayand ask him.
Lord, please, go before me andlet him guide you to the person.

(15:07):
And if they say yes, that'sgreat.
If they say no, leave it withthe Lord, but you invite the
person that the Lord is puttingon your heart.
Bring them out, someone thatneeds to see and hear the gospel
in a way that they've neverheard it before, never seen it
before.

(15:30):
Okay, so that's my challenge toyou.
I'm coming up there, I'm goingto do my part, god willing,
empowered by the Spirit of God,but I'm counting on you all to
do your part, those of you thathave seen the play, your part,

(15:50):
those of you that have seen theplay.
You know, you know the deal.
We make the gospel crystalclear.
Crystal clear and put it thisway eternity is in the balance
for a lot of people.
Okay, a lot of people, eternityis in the balance.
This is eternal type of stuff.
So you might be approaching it,that guy, whatever man he's

(16:12):
bugging out, you know he's withhis challenge and all that.
What's my significance?
Let me tell you something, man.
If you've heard this, then theLord has challenged you.
The Lord's allowed you to bechallenged to invite someone to
come on out to this play, andwe're going to let him do his
work.
Whether they believe or not, that's between them and God.

(16:36):
You know, I don't want tointerfere.
Everybody stay in their lane.
I'm going to stay in my laneand please you get into your
lane.
Okay, that's all I'm asking.
That you would just get intoyour lane.
Okay, that's all I'm askingthat you would just get into
your lane and invite somebodyout, and just so you know my

(16:57):
motives.
It's not to have the place full, that's fun, that's great.
But I've done plays for threepeople, man, man, full on Outfit
music the whole nine and neveronce did I take my foot off the
gas because of the amount ofpeople.

(17:18):
That is not my motivation.
My motivation is eternity, man,and I'm telling you right now,
that's my motivation for askingyou to invite someone, or
multiple people that the Lordputs on your heart, that needs
to see and hear this message.
All right, so that's enough ofmy preaching on that.

(17:42):
So we're going to be in Brick, bricktucky, new Jersey, saturday
, august 16th, 7 to 9.
And then the next day, sunday,we will be at Calvary Chapel of

(18:06):
Monmouth County in Leonardo, andwe've been there a few times.
They're like family over there.
Good old Reverend Shaw, dr Shaw, my Greek instructor.
I got a bunch of questions forhim too.
I always forget when I getaround him, though he's like

(18:28):
yoda, he's, he's, he's just he's, he's got the, he's got the
wisdom and the info.
Um, but yeah, calvary chapel, monmouth county, it's the, it's
literally.
If you are, if you go to thewawa, don't go that far.
But if you know where the Wawaon Route, is it 37?

(18:48):
36.
Route 36 in Leonardo, goingthrough northern Middletown, all
that, there's a Wawa.
Before you get to AtlanticHighlands, there's a Wawa right
there and to the right if you'refacing the Wawa, to the right
of the Wawa is Calvary Chapel, monmouth County, right next door

(19:10):
to the Wawa.
But if you go to the Wawayou've gone too far.
So you want to make a rightbefore you get to the Wawa, or
else you have to go all the wayaround.
It's really, it's a pain, butyeah, we're going to be there
from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, august17th, 8 pm, sunday, august 17th,

(19:32):
and we will be bringing ourPete play, I think for the third
time there.
I think Definitely the second, but I think it's going to be the
third time.
And I don't know if we've donePete three times.
I know we've done it a coupletimes at different places and,

(19:53):
like I said, it's the word ofGod.
You might be thinking toyourself oh, we already had them
.
Come out and do Pete.
You know what?
You can't take that approach tothe Gospels.
We've already read Matthew.
How would that go?
All right, let me put it in away that is synonymous with the

(20:19):
Scripture.
How about eating a meal?
I've already had a steak.
I've already eaten.
I've already eaten breakfast.
So what You're not going to eatbreakfast again?
I've already had dinner.
What You're never going to havedinner again?
Come on out, come back out.

(20:43):
It's the word of God.
It's alive and active, sharperthan any two-edged sword.
This is not the same as seeingavengers endgame or some movie.
You know, I've already seensuperman, the movie.
All right, you've seen it once.
You don't need to see it abunch of times, although when it
comes to star wars, many of yousaw star wars how many times, I

(21:06):
don't know if some of thepeople in the audience probably
can't relate to that.
I just remember, when Star Warscame out, the amount of times
that you've seen it was a badgeof honor.
There was this one kid oh, whatwas his name?
Oh man, was it Robbie Lomax?
I don't remember.
I remember there was this onekid in Brielle Elementary School
that was like I've seen StarWars 17 times.

(21:29):
I was like, and I still hadn'tseen it at that point.
Yet I still haven't seen StarWars yet, and he's all about
I've seen it 17 times.
Wow, okay, anyway, I'm on a ranthere.
I'm on a rant.
Are you guys tracking with me?

(21:50):
So it looks like, as of rightnow, our last play will be
Sunday, unless we get it'spossible we might get one more
before then, but not probableSunday, august 17th at Calvary
Chapel, monmouth County,leonardo, new Jersey.

(22:12):
So yeah, so it's all good, andI just you know that
housekeeping, I know it tookwhat?
Almost 20 minutes for me togive you that housekeeping.
We're excited, though, aboutthe Peat Play.
We're excited about it.
We've seen people enter thekingdom Of Christ.

(22:35):
Through what we do At the Peteplay and our other plays as well
, every one of our plays, we'veseen people Make public
professions of faith and saythey believe and raise their
hand and pray with us and therest is between them and God.

(22:58):
Really, as far as whether ornot they're truly saved or not,
just because you come forwarddoes not mean that you are saved
.
A true change needs to happenand I've seen true changes in
people where the Holy Spiritgets a hold of them and they let

(23:19):
go of themselves and the HolySpirit gets a hold of them and
lives are changed for time andeternity.
Time and eternity.
And I'm not going to bediscouraged by some of the
numbers or the people that comeforward or say that they like a
Billy Graham crusade or whateverthey came.

(23:41):
There's a I don't know somebodyPew or somebody did a survey of
the number of people that comeforward at an evangelistic
outreach type of thing.
There is a percentage of peoplethat a year later are not
walking with the Lord.
That's understandable, but thatis by no means is that a reason

(24:03):
to not give the gospel or givean invitation.
You know I just have.
I'm very careful in theinvitation.
I don't give a false hope, I'mjust giving the truth.
You know, a false hope would beI'll just come say this prayer
and you're good to go.
That's no, that's notnecessarily it.

(24:27):
It's you need to, you know, pursue the Lord.
It's not like you have to dosomething to be saved, though.
Like works Gotta be realcareful, because it's like we're
saved by the grace of God,through faith.
It's believe.
That's the one thing.
What is the work of God?
To believe on Him who he hassent Right.
Everything stems from thatright.

(24:49):
Everything stems from that.
Anyway, much more could be saidabout that and, as I hear, I
don't know how this is possible,but I I didn't even get into
daniel.
Some of you guys like wait, what's going on here?
This guy didn't have a talk.
Well, it's a podcast, all right.

(25:10):
So we'll continue our look intoDan the man and what's going on
there and, of course, we'regoing to report back with the
report from the tour.
Please do me a favor, be inprayer over the tour.
In fact, I'm going to prayright now.
Lord, I just want to lift fromthe tour.
Please do me a favor, be inprayer over the tour.

(25:31):
In fact, I'm going to prayright now, lord, I just want to
lift up this tour.
I lift up the travel that you'dgrant us mercy, with all the
equipment and the vehicles andthe trailer.
And please, lord, no flat tires.
Please make everything gosmoothly.
Let us get there safely and, minister, in the power of your
Spirit and, lord, I pray you'dbring people and I pray even now

(25:53):
you'd be preparing people.
As you bring people, let thebeliever be encouraged and
strengthened and let theunbeliever enter the family of
God through faith in ChristJesus, through the forgiveness
of their sins, through faith.
So, lord, we just ask that yourhand would be upon us, that you

(26:16):
would anoint us and give us thepower and the strength to do
this.
Lord, we love you and we thankyou and we praise you.
We commit our step to you, lord, and I thank you for the people
on the other end of this thatare in prayer In Jesus' name.
Please bless them as well.
Amen, all right.

(26:37):
So now that that's on his desk,we will continue next week.
And the one we just spoke tothe Lord may he bless you and
keep you.
The one we just spoke to theLord, may he bless you and keep
you.
May he make his face to shineupon you and be gracious to you.
May he lift up his countenanceupon you and give you that's

(27:06):
right.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
