Speaker 1 (00:10):
Hey everyone, welcome
to the Plugged In podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hello, welcome back.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
We are deep into
season two.
This is episode number 17.
Overall, Nate, you got left outthere.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
I know, I was
expecting music.
Oh my headphones?
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh yeah, there's none
.
This is one of those shows.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
I just sit near like
hey.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
This is one of those
shows where the music gets added
after what it's set up in realtime.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Sorry, Matt.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Well guys, happy
February.
Yeah, it is already February2024.
I almost said 2014.
That's not true.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I thought you were
saying February 24th and I was
like what month are you in?
Speaker 1 (00:43):
February 2024,.
Home of Black History Month, yes, home of the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Home of Valentine's
Day.
Yeah, groundhog Day, I wouldn'teven thought about that.
Thank you, nate, but bestholiday Maybe the one that's
most front center of my mind isMackenzie's first birthday.
Oh nice, it's coming up inFebruary.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I hear that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I know it's wild,
goes fast.
So I have an opening story.
I know we always talk on ourshow notes.
We need to stop talking so muchabout our kids, but I have a
kid's story.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Give it to me.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
OK, so for Christmas,
caleb, of all things asked for,
he wanted flashlights.
I love him so much, so much, and when we really pressed him
we were just like really Like,do you want anything else?
Caleb looked at us and he'slike yes, I want two flashlights
(01:39):
.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
So for.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Christmas, Caleb got
these four little LED, little
tiny mini flashlights.
Oh my gosh.
So, just to set up the story.
So for a lot of nights when Iput him to bed I'll climb into
his bed and I'll lay on my backand we'll play flashlights, and
so we'll be staring up at theceiling and making shadows and
doing all those kind of gamesand stuff.
(02:02):
So the other day I walk intoCaleb's room in the morning and
when his sound machine goes offand the green light turns on
immediately, he's like mommy,daddy, I'm awake.
I mean, that's just his, that'swhat he does.
So I come in there and it's alittle bit more subdued on this
morning, and so I'm just likehey.
(02:22):
Caleb good morning, buddy, likewhat's going on?
No response.
Caleb, good morning.
Can I have a hug?
No response.
He's just kind of like he'smoving really slow.
No, he's awake, he's lookingright at me and so I thought
this was really weird.
So I'm like, well, ok, well, maybe I can do something, maybe
we can play, and he'll get happyLike what's going on.
So I go ahead and I'm like I'mgoing to play flashlights with
(02:46):
him in the morning.
We're going to throw acurveball.
So I slowly crawl into his bedand while I crawl into his bed
he crawls out and I'm like soI'm like really confused and I'm
like Caleb, do you want to playflashlights?
And I lay fully on my back inhis bed, get the flashlights and
I'm like Caleb, do you want toplay flashlights?
(03:07):
And by now he's out of the bed.
He's standing in the middle ofhis room, Still hasn't talked
yet, looks right at me and saysDaddy, I peed.
And at that moment I realizedthat I am like land laying full
on my back in a bed full of pee.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Happy morning yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Human sponge Matlon.
Wow, human sponge.
Yeah, so Wow, that's.
It's not quite my rant, butthat's like, that's awesome.
Kids are on the forefront of mymind, yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Well, that's Jackson.
Right now he's in this kick.
When he I mean from birth tocurrent he's never had drinks in
his bed, but all of a sudden heneeds water every night at bed.
But because of that, everynight the pull up is like
overflowing.
And so he comes.
He'll barge into our room at6.30 and he's like mommy, daddy,
I'm awake but I'm wet.
I'm like, oh, just processinglife, oh, kids.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yeah, arting is an
adventure for sure.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Oh children.
Well, we said Valentine's Dayis coming up.
I literally made the cardinalsin of Valentine's Day not to my
spouse.
But so Heather and I are makingValentine's Day plans and I
asked a single person to babysitfor us on Valentine's.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
You didn't you are
heartless bro.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
No, I said to my wife
as soon as I pressed send on
the text message asking them.
I was just like oh no, I feelreally awkward sending this,
like that's terrible.
They agreed they're a wonderfulperson, but they did call me
out in the text message thread.
They were just like oh sure askthe single.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Ask the single person
.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yeah, I feel bad
though.
Hey, on one of our first everepisodes, you shared how you
went to Fazzoli's in college, either our first or second.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
The first episode.
Yeah, but you've graduated fromFazzoli's Well the.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Plugged In podcast
has graduated from that story.
We've come a long ways, I knowWell, moving on in our thoughts
today, nate, you have somethingfor us.
So the Super Bowl is coming up,it is, and this podcast does
not condone gambling.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
No Sports betting,
not at all.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
But every year a
popular thing comes out called
Super Bowl props.
Yeah, and it's just a fun wayto think about the game and it's
not always necessarily aboutthe yards and the touchdowns.
But go for it, man.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Yeah, so what we were
going to do together here is
kind of make some predictionsbased on some interesting prop
categories that I found whilesearching the World Wide Web.
World Wide.
Web as it pertains to the SuperBowl, and so I'm just going to
jump right in.
The fabulous Reba McIntyre issinging, the fabulous the
(05:44):
fabulous.
Fabulous Is singing the StarSpangled Banner this year.
I want to keep track of ourpredictions as we go, and then
we'll revisit this at a laterepisode.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Do you want me to
keep track?
Sure, sure.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Now the question is
do you think that Reba will sing
longer than one minute and 30seconds or shorter than one
minute?
Speaker 2 (06:02):
and 30 seconds.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
How long is it
ordinarily it's all over the
place, but my like judge of thisis usually if it's a classical
musician who's been asked tosing, like if it's a Renee
Fleming or like an opera singeror something like that.
They're usually playing to arecorded track or like an
orchestra.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Those are usually on
the shorter times, if you get
someone else that gets up thereand is just like, oh, that's all
the rest, artistic voices.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
That's awesome, can
you?
That was the beginning.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Call on them all.
You should sing it.
Yes, I should go.
Yeah, those usually go likethree minutes.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
One minute and 30
seconds.
I'm going to take the over.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
I was going to go
over as well.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I was going to go
over.
All right, can we all go over?
Is this a rule?
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Yep, no, there's no
rule.
The rule is let's see how manywe get at the end.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Are you going to make
?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
a graphic for this.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, I'll make a
graphic.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
You just got put to
work there.
Sorry, I did not mean to dothat.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I have to say I see
you just kidding.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
All right.
Next question how many timesduring the game?
Speaker 2 (06:58):
during the game
During the game Will.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
CBS show Taylor Swift
in her suite.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
OK, so this is a
direct correlation to how many
good plays Travis Kelsey makes.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
So yeah, and it's
usually like so, if he has 10
catches, they'll cut to her fivetimes.
Yeah, that's how I kind ofthink about it.
So I'm going with.
My prediction for the game isthat Travis Kelsey has seven
catches, one touchdown.
So I'm going to say you guysare so specific.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
No, I'm well yes.
Advanced analytics Not likeI've thought about this at all,
but oh, my goodness, is there anover over number.
So yeah, sorry, the over ismore than more than five.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
I got really.
It's more than five or lessthan five, wow.
That's right around my like.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
That was right in
your wheelhouse, if I was seven
catches with a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
half of that is four.
I'm going to go what I'm goingto go under five.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Ok, so this doesn't
count after the game, this is
only during the game.
Ok, fair enough.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
I feel like I just
want to be.
I want to be the other personto say over.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
OK, I'm just going to
say over as well, OK.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Matt said under I'm
saying over.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I'm the classic loser
on this podcast.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
No, but I mean it
happens.
We play a lot of games.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I mean, you won the
first thing, didn't you?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I don't think so.
I don't remember.
We all have a role to play.
What did I say Over?
We all have a role to play.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Oh, my goodness this
is good.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
I'm the host Over
five.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
OK, what's the next
one?
All right, all right.
Will the camera Well look?
Will the cameras capture Taylorand Kelsey kissing after the
game?
Yes or no?
Taylor and Travis?
Travis, kelsey, let's.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Yes, of course yeah
yes okay, they're gonna.
They will go out of their wayto make sure they're kissing.
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
All right, we all say
yes.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yep, okay, oh wait,
hold on, oh kiss, okay, go ahead
.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Okay, what company
will air the first commercial
following kickoff?
Speaker 1 (08:51):
man, this is usually
like a it's a Budweiser.
No, I was gonna say it'susually one off the beaten path,
like it's, not like a superwell-known.
I don't even know if I couldmake a Like.
I feel like the last couplesuper bowls it was like crypto
crazy.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
It was true.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
And it was companies
you never heard of before, but
they're all trying to make themark.
I don't, I don't really have aguess like I'm gonna.
I don't I'll say E-Trade, I'mjust gonna that's not off the
beaten path, but like they, baby.
Yeah, they seem to have so manySuper Bowl commercials, yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I don't know, I Don't
know.
I'm just gonna say or what'sthe?
Speaker 1 (09:25):
what's the Jesus
commercial movement?
Speaker 2 (09:26):
He's one of us, yeah
what.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
This is so.
It's not great marketing, because none of us can remember,
because I feel like I only seeit at the super, he gets us, he
gets us yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Yeah, they might have
some commercials.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I'm thinking hello
fresh.
I don't know why.
That's what I'm going with.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Next.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
I'll say Pfizer.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Pfizer.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Okay, all right.
Um, let's see how many.
Oh sorry, here we go.
Will the game go into overtime?
Simply yes or no?
No no, I'll say no as well.
All right, almost there.
Almost there, that's good forthe Gatorade bath following the
game.
Oh my gosh what color will theGatorade be?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Hmm, good question.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Or you could also
choose no Gatorade, it'd be
water or whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
I'm going orange, I'm
going purple.
Mmm because the logo is purple.
Right, I'm going purple.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Hmm, that's a good
strategy.
I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go yellow, likeyellow slash lime green.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Neat yellow.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Okay, what color is
that buddy?
Speaker 1 (10:23):
So, you can't take
two.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
We're going yellow.
I'm green is, I think, theflavor I don't know, all right,
who will be the MVP of the game.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I don't want this to
happen, but it's gonna be
Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
You have no faith in
the in the Niners.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
It's he.
So it's either gonna be PatrickMahomes or Christian McCaffrey.
Those are my two.
Those are my two picks.
I'm I'm pulling for the 49ers.
I'd like them to win, but ifyou have to have me on the
record, I'm saying PatrickMahomes.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Mahomes that's your
choice too.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Yeah, I'm going to
homey's.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah, I'll go,
patrick Mahomes as well.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Wow.
We sink up on a lot of thesehere's the delineation.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
final score
prediction Good word.
I mean good word buddy.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Never I've never,
used that studying final score.
Yeah with a winner.
Okay, I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go.
Chiefs 28, 49ers 24.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
That's really close
to what I had in my mind.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
I'm gonna go Chiefs
31, 49ers 28.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Oh, wait what was
Matt.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Wait, matt, say yours
again 28 to 24 Chiefs okay.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
And I think it's like
it'll come down to the end
where they have to scoretouchdown.
So they're like driving at theend of the game.
Somehow the drive stalls out at, like the you know, the 15 yard
line.
But I think it will be a.
I think it will be a goodending, a good game.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Cool, we'll see.
I was thinking Chiefs 27, 49ers24, so only.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
You guys are close
and you said Chiefs, I did say
Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
So how do you so?
Let me hear your prediction on.
How is that ending?
So the Chiefs make a defensivestand to hold the 49ers and win
the game, or Patrick MahomesDrives down scores a go ahead, I
Feel, goal or touchdown.
So it means that they wereeither down by four or they were
tied.
Yeah, yeah, I'm really rippingyour score apart here.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Oh no, I'm think I'm
thinking defensive stand.
I think it's gonna come down toBrock Party has the ball in his
hands and doesn't convert acrucial fourth down or something
.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
It's tragic yeah it's
tragic, I think it's like it's
borderline mean.
So in the NFL, if you're thelast person drafted in the NFL
draft, yeah, everyone calls youmr Irrelevant.
Oh, story of my life, andthat's Brock Purdy.
No, this is the quarterback ofthe 49ers in the Super Bowl.
His nickname is mr Irrelevantbecause he was the last person
drafted in the draft likeoverall overall.
(12:56):
Like so in the seventh round, the very last player drafted.
Now there are some players inthe NFL that are on rosters that
are undrafted right.
But this is of the actual draft.
He was the last pick yeah, tomBrady was famously a sixth round
pick.
Julian Edelman was a seventhround pick, yeah, but I don't
know if I've ever heard ofanyone this prominent like the
last pick in the NFL thestarting quarterback of a
(13:18):
potential Championship team.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
That's pretty awesome
.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
It's pretty pretty
cool, that is cool, yeah, all
right, good story.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah, so we got our
Super Bowl props locked in and
Larita is now going to make afabulous Graphic that will be
out on social media.
You'll have to chime in withwhat you think's gonna happen in
the Super Bowl.
Yes we're going a little bitdifferent direction with the
plugged-in podcast today.
Rather than do one devotionalthought, I think we're each
gonna take a turn talking abouta verse, a passage, something
(13:47):
that has been speaking to usrecently, and We'll all kind of
chime in and keep our commentsbrief and we'll get you on your
way.
Today, here at the plugged-inpodcast, we're going for the the
short form podcast today.
But who wants to go first?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
I can go first All
right.
I think my last, the lastEpisode, the devotional I did
was based off of secondCorinthians 12 and that's just
been like repeatedly showing upin my devotions and Just in my
mind and so that verse again Isreally just sticking out to me
(14:25):
recently.
And again it says From secondCorinthians three times Paul
saying three times I beg theLord to take it away.
And each time he said my graceis all you need.
My power works best In weakness.
So now that, so now I am gladto boast about my weakness, so
the power of Christ can workthrough me.
And again he's talking aboutthat thorn in his flesh and the
(14:47):
trials that you know.
He was shipwrecked and yeah, inand all of the things and
imprisoned and all.
He had so many thorns andOvercame so much and literally
became a new person but stillhad this nagging thorn in his
side that the Lord would notremove.
(15:08):
But it didn't stop him frombeing faithful and didn't stop
him from, you know, being liketestified and stop him from
being who God had called him tobe so why does that speak to you
?
I just think recently I've beenGoing through just difficulties
with like with health andquestions and and feeling like I
(15:30):
continually just have to fightto advocate for myself.
I just got a call yesterdaythat my doctor that I'm supposed
to be seeing is now herself outon medical leave so.
I can't get Things renewed andthings moving that I need
because she's, you know, now ina position of weakness.
So it's kind of re sortedthings.
(15:52):
But I remember getting thatcall and I was like why Can one
thing go right?
You know, it's just thatdisappointment and feeling like,
just feeling thatdisappointment over and over
again and then being upset atthe position I've put myself.
You know, it's just that spiral.
It's the thorn and justreminding myself to continue to
be faithful, to continue toAllow my weakness to be, you
(16:16):
know, strength in the Lord'shand and just knowing that he's
gonna give me the strength toendure.
You know the current situation,so that just literally just
keeps.
It was in my devotions thismorning.
If anyone does, the first five, yeah.
But then there's this quotethat said when we feel
completely helpless, god's gracewill give us the strength to
make it through every trial weface.
(16:37):
So just a Continual reminder.
Yeah, and it just keeps showingup in my face and so clearly I
need it.
But just the reminder for me.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Yeah, I can go next.
Okay, so I said this to youguys off the air last night,
when I'm a I'm a creative person, I'm a brainstormer, I'm super
analytical, I like to try toenvision things that don't exist
and then figure out how to makeit happen.
(17:07):
Yeah, but along the way, like Ihave to ask so many questions
about what could go right, whatcould go wrong, is it worth
doing this, is it worth doingthat?
So I feel like I constantlyfill my brain with all of this
like strategy, and sometimesthat can be overwhelming and in
just a Negative way.
Yeah, it's just like before Ieven start, I've thought of the
(17:29):
45 things that could go wrongand why I shouldn't even start.
Yeah, and so one of the thingsthis is so ironic Because I
literally was saying to you guysso we've been talking about the
plugged-in podcast and we'vebeen talking about Listenership
and how we should deliver thepodcast to people, and so I
jokingly went on tiktok and Ityped in the word devotional and
(17:51):
what we were talking about offthe air is I would type in the
word devotional and you'd havethese people recording video in
their cars of Like the Bibleapps, like devotional of the day
.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Yeah, so simple.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Yeah and like, but
other people's material yeah,
and they'd have like sevenhundred thousand views.
And so I was just like here weare, like you know, we put
effort into this and you guyshave written these like
beautiful devotionals and it'sso like confusing to me, like
wow.
So anyways, I Did it again.
I went on there just to kind ofyou know, just kind of be like
(18:26):
snarky, and I listened to one ofthe devotionals and I was like,
oh my gosh, I just got likemega convicted, right.
So here's the devotional.
I'm gonna share it with youbecause it like smacked me in
the face.
But the reference verses here, our first Thessalonians, 5, 17
and Psalm 62, 2 through 5, tellme if this sounds like anybody.
(18:46):
Rest in me, my child, give yourmind a break from planning and
trying to anticipate what willhappen.
Pray continually, asking myspirit to take charge of the
details of this day.
Remember that you are on ajourney with me.
When you try to peer into thefuture and plan for every
possibility, you ignore yourconstant companion who sustains
(19:10):
you moment by moment.
As you gaze Anxiously into thedistance, you don't ever feel
the strong grip of my handholding yours.
How foolish you are.
My child.
Remembrance of me is a dailydiscipline.
Never lose sight of my presencewith you.
This will keep you resting inme all day, every day.
(19:32):
Wow, I was like no way.
Here's like the very crazy.
It's like the very devotionalsthat I make fun of, because they
basically go viral.
Yeah, with like very littleeffort right and here.
I was like listening to theirContent and like and being like
wow, it really applies to mylife.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
I needed.
I needed to hear this today, and that translation is just so
spot whatever.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Planning into the
future for every possibility,
like so.
That's my thought for today,because I'm sure there's other
people out there that havesimilar mindset, where, if
you're trying to accomplishsomething, if you're trying to
plan something, you're just thetype of person that can't Leave
any stone unturned.
Yep and I think sometimes thatcan be a poisonous mindset yeah,
(20:20):
because you're Forgetting totrust, right, the person that
put you on that journey in thefirst place yeah so that's kind
of my thought for the day, myconviction for the day that's
like it was pretty Pointed.
I literally went on liketick-tock to make fun of it more
and I was like, oh man, this is, this is me to a tee here.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
We go.
God was reading your textthread.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
No, it's true.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
It's awesome I've
been thinking a lot about.
Obviously, with the start of thenew year, there comes a lot of
expectations, and, I think, expectations For myself that I
set, and maybe just expertsexpectations about how the world
around me should be and howlife in general should be, and
it, and a lot of times thoseexpectations that I prop up for
(21:03):
myself don't always come tofruition, and I think in the
moments where that happens, wecan become bitter, we can become
angry, we can become resentfulor we can maybe lean in a bit
closer to what God's trying toteach us in the midst of that.
And so one passage that's beenon my heart recently comes from
(21:26):
Habakkuk, chapter 3, verses 17through 19.
And it says this even if thefig tree does not blossom and
there are no grapes on the vines, if the olive trees fail to
give fruit and the fieldsproduce no food, if the flocks
die far from the fold and thereare no cattle in the stalls,
then I will still rejoice in theeternal.
I will rejoice in the God whosaves me.
(21:46):
The eternal Lord is my strength.
He has made my feet like thefeet of a deer and he allows me
to walk on high places.
And I was thinking about thatpassage in just like a
contemporary context.
And if we were to change some ofthose words around, if I was to
take the even if dot dot dotand change that out, maybe it
(22:07):
sounds something like even if Iwasn't able to afford this
month's rent and life continuesto get more expensive, if my
relationships fall apart and theworld is hurled into division
and conflict, if my family getssick and I feel all alone, would
I still have the strength tosay God, you are my joy, you are
the one who saves me?
And I love how that passage endsthat he allows me to walk on
(22:28):
high places, because I thinkit's in those moments where
discouraging things happen andnegative things happen.
I know in my own life I canspiral and I can walk in some
very low places in my own mindand maybe with the people around
me.
But the fact that the Lordcontinues to lift us up out of
that and wants us to see hisface in the midst of the
(22:49):
situations in our world, it'sbeen a challenge.
It's a challenge to me, it's aconviction to me, and I looked
up this passage in the messageand this response that God wants
from our hearts was really justa cool visual.
It says I'm turning cartwheelsof joy to my Savior God,
(23:10):
counting on his rule to prevail.
And can I honestly say that, even if things don't go my way,
I'm turning cartwheels of joy,not all the time, no, actually
very, very few times, when I say, yeah, I'm turning cartwheels
of joy.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I don't know could
ever be turning cartwheels of
joy, I physically couldn't.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Yeah.
But just this I don't know thisassurance and this piece of
heart, knowing that, even ifthings don't turn out the way
that you envision them to turnout, that doesn't mean that God
is not in the midst of it and,at the end of the day, His
nature is secure and unchangingand immovable and he continues
(23:51):
to rejoice over us and justdesires for us to place our
trust and our hope in Him.
And so just an encouragementthat's been on my heart and mind
, that I feel that many peoplecan resonate with today.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
That's going on the
table.
Oh boy, I know I didn't.
This is not in the show notes.
Let's wrap up the podcast today.
Give me once again yourbiblical thought in one sentence
.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
I'll start while you
guys are thinking yeah, you go
first.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
But in the midst of
your planning and busyness and
stress, don't forget to rely onGod, because he brought you here
in the first place and he'salready prepared the way for you
.
Rest in all those two senses.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
I was like adding
word countless countless,
countless.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Okay, mine would be
something to the effect of when
you feel just when you feel likeyou've been hitting the same
wall over and over again, whenyou feel like you've been
persistent in praying, beassured that the Lord is for you
(25:00):
and he's working in the midstof that which you feel like is
insurmountable Period.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
I would just period,
Even if life sucks.
Even if life is not going theway you planned.
Look to the one who was alwaysfaithful and true.
Place your joy and trust in Himand you'll never be
disheartened.
I love it.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Cartwheels.
Cartwheels of joy, let's go Ifthere's anyone at the stable who
can cartwheel it's.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
I do the cartwheels
off here.
We have to turn the cameras off.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
There have been times
where you two have one has
started dancing, the other hasdanced, but then every time I
get my camera out it ends fast.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Do you stop?
So I'll get it one day.
Nates are a real dancer.
I'm a fake.
I'm a fake, real dancer.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
I'm just a sporadic
Body movement type of guy
sporadic body.
Yeah, it's uncontrolledmovements.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I really like that
sporadic body movement type of
guy.
