Lodge 49 may have gone off the airwaves in late 2019, but throughout 2020 and into 2021, new viewers have been discovering the show and celebrating it as a one-of-a-kind treasure. A recent article in Vogue and continuing appearances on “must watch” lists confirm the show’s staying power as a cultural touchstone. So the three co-hosts of Pod 49 decided to revisit Season 1 of the show with recaps of each episode -- something we never did before. And this time, we brought star power.
We’ll be posting these recaps in batches over the coming weeks. They all feature special guests, including cast and crew members of Lodge 49 as well as superfans with insights to share. In this intro episode, we welcome you back into our world and explain what inspired us to get back into the (Zoom) studio.
