Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the FBI? (No, not "federal bikini inspector", you with the hat.) Craig spent quite a bit of time with Agent Anthony Nelson and got quite the education. Craig said he'd ask Anthony if he would come on the show at a later date, and he is more than welcome to visit The Sherpa Chalet! There are lots of incredible stories in this book that us civilians would find amazing, but to the Feds, ...
Liz has played lots of roles since "Concrete Cowboy" and of course, will be playing more in the near future, too! But she was such a pleasure to speak withas you can tell from all the giggling!

True story: Within 5 minutes of meeting on Zoom, Liz and I were already giggly. She liked my Paul McCartney impression, too. Or, maybe someo...
During the course of our interview, Dr. Clark made a statement that was so powerful in its simplicity, when it comes to cold cases: "Talk about it." Those three words are an inspiring reminder that there could be information that leads to these cold cases being solved. Her book covers the lives of numerous young women whose lives came to a sudden end, with no clear explanation. One can only hope that there will be someone who talk ...
Alas, no new episodes of "Mind the Future" are around, but from what I got to know about Katherine, she's probably got a really cool project going on. Off-mic, she paid me probably one of the best compliments I've ever received-that I would have made a good journalist. What? You thought she was going to say I wasn't as hideous as she expected? Dream on, you with the hat!

Rebels, I'm not quite sure why I kept on saying "spotlight on songwriting" and not "spotlight on songwriters", given how long I've been listening to this podcast, and have heard essentially all of their episodes. I'm blaming it on small print. Or the Mandela Effect (Bobby Mandela kept throwing things at me during the interview). Or locusts. It was locusts! Oh,sorry, now I'm quoting "The Blues Brothers" movie. (Either way, sorry, gu...
Loving your true crime? You can still catch Sarah and Laura (who, unfortunately, couldn't be in this interview) on "Ivy League Murders", which is really fascinating. This was a fun and interesting interview!

I got to speak to two amazing ladies this week, Rebels, and these interviews were so fascinating.!&...
Initially, I received an email from Jennifer apologizing for not seeing my request for an interview from a few months back. (That's the LAST time I email in invisible ink...) But hey, life happens, and this was very much worth the wait! You'll see in this interview that she's very lively and a fun guest to talk with, right off the bat. She let me know that "Roll ,Tide" is a proper greeting for folks for Alabama, but not "War Eagle....
You can still hear new episodes of "PVDcast", which is great news about another podcast that survived COVID! But this throwback is definitely a fun one. I think he still does "Mat Talk." But is Kathy Bates mentioned in it??? See for yourself!

This was a fun interview, Rebels. I felt John was a really interest...
We really don't hear too many stories about "The American Dream" anymore. As I mention in the intro, Oksana's story comes as close as you'd expect to it. From a musical talent in Siberia to an amazing business in Los Angeles, it's certainly been an interesting road for her. And you'll hear about it in this interview. Granted, I don't normally do episodes about businesses, but hey, last week's with Arthur Frischman ("The Long Island...
2025 update: William hasn't put out any new "World of Walley" episodes for a while, but it does look like he's creating a for of a media network, so keep an ear open...ya never know, as they say! (I never know who "they" are, either, but that's beside the point...)

William Walley strikes me as a guy who could...
So, Arthur Frischman, aka The Long Island Sign Guy, has become quite the sensation with his historical trivia tidbit videos about Long Island. He had a bunch of great stories to tell in addition to the history stuff. I guess I could do video shorts about Mount Podcastia, but then they'd find me and I would have to pay the fine on that overdue library book. (I swear, "1Fish 2 Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish" was strictly for research purpo...
This is one of the episodes that for me, falls into the "pleasant surprise" category. First of all, Mike was so much fun to chat with, and as I mentioned back then in the notes below, this interview was very educational. And "Earth Station One" is still out there for you to enjoy, too!

I can admit that in my vast inventory of episodes, maybe a handful could be considered truly inspiring. (Well unless, you want to be inspired to be a better podcaster than me, then, it's a low bar. But I digress...) This interview falls into that category of the select few. Imagine yourself in Mark's place, covering a concert which devolves into a horrific mass shooting. Would you have it in you to write a book about it, much less...
"Fang" was Richard's directorial debut in the indie film market. I believe he's still involved with movies, unlike me, who keeps getting thrown out of them (and I OWN them!)

Richard Burgin was really interesting to talk to. I won't give away too much, but you'll hear the inspiration behind "Fang", and how he ...
Welcome to Season 15! I'll be your Sherpa (well, who else?) to take you through an adventurous season of podcast chat, creator interviews, and true crime talk. We kick things off with Keb Pound, who's hear to talk about his podcast, and the life of a standup. True fact: the day of our interview, Keb had arrived home after driving 200 miles. Which is about how far I have to drive to find decent pizza in Podcastia. (Little help, ...
Important life lesson, Rebels: You probably won't have too many conversations with a guy named Middagh (unless you're married to him) and eden then, it's going to be a very interesting conversation. I haven't seen his name on the ballot, but I believe he's still hosting "This Is Ska." So check it out, if you're ready to do some serious skanking* ( That's a dance style, get your head out of the gutter...)!

It's a mini-episode celebrating you, and the many people who made Season 14 possible. Thanks to the listeners, the voice people, the Sherpa-Lu studio players, all the amazing guests this season, and particularly, Wild Blue Press (https://wildbluepress.com), for all of their guests for so many interviews this season! Check out their "True Crime Talk" podcast, too! We're coming back with Season 15!

Michael and I caught up a little while ago, and there's a more recent interview in these episodes, if you're looking. If you're listening, I strongly advise you to check out "The Back of the Rack" on 97underground.com that Michael is the regular host on. Especially if you like your music rockin'! In the meantime, we'll just continue to make each other laugh on Facebook....

It's been certainly an interesting season for true crime, Rebels, so why not wrap it up with an episode about serial killers getting caught? Dennis' audio came out a bit choppy in spots (sorry!!), but he still paints a chilling picture of these horrific crimes. A few things to notice...first, any "gallows humor" in this episode in no way reflects insensitivity to the victims, but more to alleviate the horror. Second, I could not su...
Good news, Rebels! In a podcasting era where many podcasts from COVID are no longer around, I'm happy to report that "Canned Ait" is still kicking! (And I get bonus points for not making a "Kick the can "joke....oops, too late...) So check out this interview, as well as their show, if you're a pop culture fan!

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
