Steve (00:00):
Hey there.
Podcasting bad-ass is it's yourhost sober Steve, the podcast
guy, and welcome to a newepisode.
If you are a life coach, youshould have a podcast in anyone
who has a podcast for theirbusiness should be getting
referrals from it.
So therefore, if you are a lifecoach who is currently
podcasting or consideringlaunching a podcast, this
(00:20):
episode is for you.
After listening.
If you are ready to grow yourbusiness with a
podcast@visitasobersteve.com tosign up for free brainstorm or
tune up.
But first.
Let's discuss for podcastingtips for life coaches and
service providers.
So first up, you want to makesure that when you are.
(00:40):
Podcasting.
And you are also a life coachthat has a specific service or a
niche that the people thatyou're talking to on your
podcast are also your idealclients.
That is something thatoftentimes I see there's some
disconnect between the peoplethat you're talking to on your
podcast.
Oftentimes we're afraid of beingtoo specific and worry that we
(01:01):
might want to make sure thatwe're trying to get more people
to listen, rather than talkingspecifically to our demographic
that we're looking for.
But trust me, when you make surethat you are talking to your
demographic loud and clear, notonly in the episode content
itself, that you're recordingeach week, but in the name of
your podcast, in the branding ofyour podcast, in the artwork, in
(01:22):
the show description, if you areputting everywhere out there who
specifically it's for, and it isfor your ideal.
Clients then your ideal clientsare going to know exactly what
it is that they're getting whenthey find your podcast.
And they are going to be soexcited to find it.
And after they listen, they willdefinitely sign up for your
services and your packages.
And you can start working withthem right away because you let
(01:45):
them know this is for you.
So when they saw you out of allthe other podcasters out there,
they knew that you were therefor them.
So it's a beautiful thing.
When you are able to knowexactly who your target audience
is with.
With your podcast and it alignsperfectly with who your target
customer is for your coachingbusiness or the services that
you provide.
(02:07):
Number two, you want to makesure that you're using coaching
style episodes.
Solo episodes are great likethis, to be able to give your
listeners very concise and clearinformation in a very short
period of time.
I oftentimes try and keep thesesolo episodes short
intentionally so that becauseI'm talking to podcasters or
(02:29):
potential podcasters who areoftentimes are running their own
businesses.
Or parts of small businesses andthey have a full schedule.
I want to make sure that whenthey listen to my podcasts,
they're able to get theinformation and none of the
extra fluff.
So solo episodes are great forthat, but the real magic
happens.
The.
Your listeners will fall in lovewith you.
When they get to hear yourcoaching style episode.
(02:52):
So if you were just doinginterview style episodes right
now, where you are interviewingand asking questions to other
experts in the industry, you'renot doing yourself any favors
because you want to make sureyou're showing off what you can
do and what you are bringing in.
So instead flip it around andhave people on that are your
ideal customer and coach themfor free.
As an episode and give then yourlisteners a chance to help
(03:15):
demystify the coaching process, which oftentimes is the number
one obstacle that I hear from mylife coach clients.
Is that as they're trying tofind new clients, they're
wondering.
How do I explain what lifecoaching is?
People don't really understandit.
They don't get it.
They think it's this thing orthat thing.
And I tell them it's not, butthey don't seem to get what it
is.
So by showing your listeners whoare your ideal customers, what
(03:39):
it is with a coaching styleepisode, it is a game changer
for being able to turn thoselisteners into clients and our
pro tip.
The person that you're talkingto and giving that free coaching
as well, tell them not to bringup money until afterwards,
because oftentimes you're goingto have them sold by the time
that you're done with theepisode as well.
So it's a win-win for everyoneinvolved.
(03:59):
It goes over.
Great.
You should be doing coachingstyle episodes.
If you're a coach and if not,you should be giving me a call
or scheduling a tune-up so thatwe can get you started on this.
Third.
Up is your call to action.
Is your pipeline.
So if you are offering a specialproduct or a service or package
(04:20):
right now, or in the nearfuture.
Your call to action that youshould be having all your
listeners do that you'reencouraging them in the episodes
to do right.
It shouldn't be a random thing.
Every single week.
Consistency is key, but itshould be that main package that
main offering that you'reoffering right now.
For instance right now I'mpushing my tuneups and my
(04:43):
brainstorm sessions for my newclients.
Who might want to start workingwith me and they're just wanting
to see what it's like.
So you get the free coachingwith me.
That turns into an episode.
We just talked about that.
If you love it.
Great.
If like any, if you sign with meand you work with me great.
But if not, I got the episodeout of it.
It's a win-win.
So do the same for your clientsas well, where your call to
(05:03):
action is to do something that'sinvolved in your pipeline.
So, whatever your next call toaction is whether it's signing
up for your mailing list, signing up for your next program
or your workshop or your freezoom or your monthly club,
whatever it is that you want tobe focusing on right now to grow
your audience.
Do you need to be making surethat that call to action is in
(05:25):
your episode.
And I'll tip that took me awhile to get to realize is you
want to put it in the front ofthe episode.
Not the end of the episode.
That's where you couldn't dofluff, like leaving reviews and
tell a friend.
But the top of the episode whereeveryone is listening, that's
where you put your real call toaction and make sure that people
know what it is that they'rehere for.
So that is number three.
(05:47):
And are wrapping up a numberfor.
Your podcast also should be yoursocial media campaign.
It is so amazing having apodcast because I never have to
worry about what my social mediais going to be.
Sure I can do extra non podcastrelated posts if something's
happening that I want to talkabout.
(06:09):
But do I have to know, I canjust let my podcast be my social
media campaign between the powerof being able to turn videos
like this into your reels forsocials as well as.
Using the keys, the keynotes, the takeaways, the things that I
talk about in each episode orthat my guests and I talk about
and using those bullet points toalso do carousels and other
(06:30):
dynamic content online.
That helps also establish mybrand.
It is been a game changer fornot only, like I said, building
my business in my pipeline andmy clients, but also building my
social media.
Capabilities and confidence andability to show up and post
consistently.
And have people engage with mycontent and have it grow my
(06:51):
business.
It's a win-win situation.
So you want to make sure withthat being number four?
A quick recap.
Your target audience for yourpodcast should be your ideal
customer.
And you should be talking tothem in every way, shape or
form, not only in each episode, but also in your branding and in
your title and things like that.
To you should be using coachingstyle episodes.
(07:12):
If you're a coach, sounds like aduh, but you'd be surprised.
So let's chat about that more ifyou need.
Similarly your call to actionshould be the next step in your
pipeline for your sales.
And you should be including inthe front of the episode.
And your podcast is your socialmedia campaign.
Use the information that you'retalking about in your podcast or
(07:33):
the podcast content itself andturn it into gorgeous social
media branding.
It's fabulous.
Those are four tips that alllife coaches should be using.
I, as a life coach myself, canhelp be a blessing at coaches,
really revamping their podcast, multiplying their downloads by
five times or 10 times, andstarting to get them turning
into businesses because trustme.
(07:53):

growth.

client or finding that client, but you're able to create this

working it.
(08:14):
And you'll just start gettingthe best easiest sales ever with
the people who are designed.
To know exactly what it is thatyou're going to offer them.
They're excited for it becausethey're excited to work with you
because even though you mightjust be meeting them, They've
been listening to your podcastforever and they love you and
they know exactly what it isthey're going to get.
So they're going to be happycustomers.
It's great for you.
