Today's guest on #PoisedforExit is Emily Morgan, the founder and CEO of Delegate Solutions, which provides Virtual Assistant services to entrepreneurs. Emily grew her firm from scratch out of a need to expand the services she was already delivering, and over 13 years has built it into a 40 person team of Virtual Assistants and support staff.
We entrepreneurs tend to have issues with delegating well. The content and advice from Emily will likely impact many of our listeners who struggle with how best to delegate. She says that entrepreneurs operate in a 'freedom economy', whereas employees operate in more of a 'safety economy' which are ideologies that don't always match up when an owner is trying to decide how and what to delegate.
Emily says when you are deciding what and how to delegate, start by assigning tasks that are repeatable and are tied to the company's overall goals. She also says that an entrepreneur's most valuable resource is their energy; when it's depleted that's not a good thing for the owners or the company. Proper delegation plans can help alleviate burnout and keep the owners creative ideas flowing.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
