BREAKING - Trump said Thursday morning that hewill join law enforcement officials on D.C. streets Thursday night- outcosplaying Kristi Noem - for a reality-TV- worthy publicity stunt to prove he OWNS DC and the people in it.
Trump is stopping tours of the White House while "his" palace ballroom is being erected in place of the East Wing. Which is expected to be completed ... oh.... in two years, maybe?
We can be SURE - CERTAIN - that if Mar-a-Lago was having a glitzy new wing put on it, Trump would not kick his paying members out for the duration.
Hell no. He would USE it - hawk and advertiseit all over FOX - to draw in NEW members. He would let prospective members pay a fee to stand behind velvet ropes to watch the construction.
As for the common rabble, he would send out emails to the MAGA faithful to pay $50 bucks each to enter a drawing for a tour of the place when it was done. (Transportation not included of course. But he would offer them a discount to stay at Bedminster. And maybe even a free golfcartg:\. If they paid for a round of golf).
But the WHITE HOUSE - THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE?
He is shutting it down. He is shutting us out.
