That is of course a quote of Ebenezer Scrooge from Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” And now we have a host of Scrooges in the federal Government. Starting with the Head Pudding himself, Donald Trump.
Trump is ending grants for medical research and trials, including for cancer, even children's cancer, in universities and hospitals.
He is allowing RFK Jr to end vaccine development and production, and one can assume that free distribution of vaccines for covid, flu and respiratory ailments will end, as well.
He has already ended sending vaccines to third world countries, as well other medical assistance and even food.
Trump is showing the same lack of mercy to struggling Americans, too.
Here in the US, Trump says he is sending the homeless "far away" He is not saying where that is. But more will become homeless as unemployment rises, food and fuel assistance ends, prices go up and Medicaid is cut. Or eliminated.
