This is going to be our secondtips and tricks of this season
dedicated to Bath and BodyWorks.
So, as I'm sure you know, thereis a Disney Villains collection
out right now, both in storesand online at Bath and Body
Works.
And you know, we flipped outwhen we heard about it.

Also, if you're If you listenedto our Disney Princess
Collection episode, Oh DePrincess, if you're looking for
it, we kind of called that therewas going to be a Disney
Villains Collection.

We kind of

called it.
We were pretty dead on there,if I do say so myself.
So we obviously need to walkthrough this collection with you
very much in the same way thatwe did with the Disney Princess
Collection.
So we'll give you like kind ofthe overview of the scents and
the styles that we're workingwith.
And then we'll kind of gothrough this time because

because there are only twocharacters represented in this
collection we're really going tobe able to go through product
by product for you and give youlittle rankings of our favorite
stuff

and because we have video now you all can see
all of the things that we'reseeing and I put together some
little visuals to accompany thisso we can go through it all and
talk about it

also I know some of you just enjoy listening
to the podcast just as an audioexperience and I I completely
respect that, but obviously webought things from the
collection as well that we havehere with us and we want to show
it to you.

So this is the Bath and BodyWorks Disney Villains
collaboration.
That

is hot.

It's real good.
We got two characters.
We got Maleficent and we gotthe Evil Queen.
And so I'm going to take youthrough some of the things that
we bought.
that are in the Evil Queencollection.
And then Caroline's going to gothrough sort of like a
description of the Maleficentcollection for you.

Gorgeous.
Gorgeous.

So for the Evil Queen, the scent notes here are
dark red apple, vanilla suede,and wicked pear.
So what it smells like, ruledby envy, the Evil Queen wields
beauty as her weapon andambition as her crown.
This fragrance is her legacy,an opulent, fruity sweetness
gilded in velvet vanilla poison.

The design, it's a bunch ofroyal purples, ruby reds, and
golds.
The products feature symbolslike the poison apple as a ruby
jewel and also not.
The magic mirror, the hag'shands, the evil queen's
silhouette, the queen's castle,the evil queen's crown, and then

the jeweled heart pierced bythe dagger from the queen's
heart box.
And so these are all setagainst like a deep purple sort
of smoky In this line, we got abunch of different products.
We got a three-wick candle, asingle-wick candle, foaming hand

taking me some time to kind oflike figure out what it was.
But I think if you take SunriseWoods, which has kind of like a

sandalwood, vanilla-y, cashmerekind of note, And then you
mixed that with afternoon applepicking, which has apple and
pear and cinnamon.
You would just lose thecinnamon.
If you put those two scentstogether, it's that.
Like if this wasn't called EvilQueen, I would call it like
warm apple cashmere or somethinglike that.

That feels like what they wouldcall this.
Yeah.

Something in here reminds me of Belle a
little bit.

think it's the vanilla because the Belle had
the vanilla with the rose.

It's very interesting that you say that

So that's the Evil Queencollection.

Now let's talk about theMaleficent collection.

Oh, my God, these vibes.
Okay, so the scent notes forthe Maleficent collection are
sinister plum, midnight berries,and mystical woods.
And what it smells like?
She's the mistress of all evilfor a reason, both fruity and

woody.
This fragrance evokes thefierce magic of Maleficent's
enchanted realm.
It's more than a Unsettling,sure.
But the vibe is so alluring.
You can't help but be drawn toit.
Did I write this?

I love these descriptions.
These descriptions are so extraand I love them.
They

literally said the vibe.
I mean,

thank you.
I know.
It's very you.

Whoever is working in the background at
Bath & Body Works.

We see you.
We love you.

We love you.
We know that you listen.

Anyway, the design of thiscollection, a lot of the
collection is covered in thesepurpley green iridescent ombre
dragon scales yeah stunning withthese ornate black frames and
black silhouettes of dragonsthorns ravens and Maleficent

herself there's even some likefeathers wings all of that there
are pops of lime green andsometimes entire products in
lime green across the collectionreminiscent of the color of
Maleficent's magic from the filmand there are purple roses
throughout this collection aswell So as you can see, if
you're looking on YouTube atthis visual, it's just like

purple and that lime green.
And that's what I'm trying toevoke with my background today.
Products in this collection,just like the Evil Queen
collection, there are quite afew.
So we've got the three wickcandle, the single wick candle,
foaming hand soap, laundrydetergent, lip gloss, diamond
shimmer mist, fine fragrancemist, pocketbac hand sanitizer,

ultimate hydration body cream,body wash.
For this scent match, I feellike I am getting a little bit

of Diamond of the Season inhere.
I think the It's like thisheavier fruitiness that Diamond
of the Season had as well.
Like Diamond of the Season hadpear in there, but it was a
heavier, more perfumed pear.
And I'm getting a little bit ofthat in here.
And then I'm like mixed withlike Twilight Woods.
It's interesting becausethrough the description, I

expected a...
I don't know what else to saybesides that.
That is Moonlit Graveyard,which I actually really love.
Based on the description, Ithought there was going to be a
little bit more of that in thereand it's not quite that.

Oh, see, that's very interesting that you said
that because… And

there's like rose.
I

think that's the plum in it really is kind of
like very similar and theberries because there's plum and
berries in it.

And there's no floral notes according to them,
but…

No, but it's… I get something floral in there.
I think the woods kind of likegives it a little bit of like
floral.
So I think that combined withthe plum makes it feel a little
floral.
But I remember when I went tothe store and I smelled this one
the first time, I was like, Ithought it smelled very similar
to Moonlight Graveyard.
And like I immediately got hitby the notes of the sort of like

the woods scent.
And I was very sort of likekind of, I was underwhelmed by
this one.
It's

so funny.
I really love this.

And I know that you had the opposite reaction.
You were underwhelmed by theevil queen.
And I was like, I'm not intothis.
I bought the single wick candleof Maleficent.
I bought the single wick of theevil queen.
But I will say I have burnedcandle warmed Maleficent and my

opinion has shifted slightly andwe'll probably talk about it a
little bit.

As we move into the nextsection of this, which is kind

So this is the Evil Queen threewicks.
So if you aren't watching theEvil Queen three wick, it's a
big purple candle.
It's got like the hag handsaround this like jeweled apple.
You've got these like goldfiligrees that sort of outline
the magic mirror along thesides.

And then up at the top, you'vegot this gold cover lid thing
that has like an ornate sort ofdesign and has this holographic
apple that depending on how youlook at it is an apple and then
also shows the sort of like thepoison side of it

it's very cool

it's really cool I really dig this scent and I
think it's actually a reallyreally good match the evil queen
like when I smelled this I waslike this smells regal it smells
yeah like if she

walked by me I would expect her to smell like
this I would expect that this iswhat the her potion room smells
like.

It's got just enough of the apple to it that
like it's telling me, yeah,we're in Snow White and
everything like that, but it'snot like so many other fall
scents.
I think apple can be, it's verymuch like the front runner,
like the very, like theforefront of this.
It's hidden in there.
It feels more balanced betweenall of the different, the

vanilla is very balanced in thesame way that I thought, I'm
glad that you said this, thebell candle was very balanced
between rose and vanilla whereusually rose hits kind of like
harder in most things

I was actually surprised by this I thought
they were just gonna go straightfor the apple concept and yeah
it's very much layered in there

yeah there's like it's yeah it's

and I feel like there is a very nice
cohesiveness between what thissmells like and what the design
looks like I don't know how toexplain that but it's like I
also just really I'm very intothe purple with the gold accents

that is stunning the purple and the gold It's
just so

pretty.
And then the pops of the red.
It's so, right.
It's so, the design, the designfor both of these, I really,
it's spot on.
It's

really gorgeous.
The one thing about the designthat I don't fully understand is
like there's kind of likestars.
Oh.
And I don't really know whatthat's necessarily about.
There's also this interestingthing that's happening in the.
Is

there like a flower pattern on the fabric?
Look at that.
Do you see that?

On the candle, there's like, sort of like an
etching it's almost I think it'ssmoke

there's like smoke at the bottom but then if
you look at the top there's likefolded up fabric like of her
dress and it has like a flowerpattern on it it's very
intricate

oh I see that I see that oh no I'm talking about
like looking at the actualcandle itself it's like 3D I see
that yes I see that too there'slike an etching into it of like
smoke

yeah I see that too also both the the apple
and then the heart in otherparts of the collection both
being this like ruby yeah thisis like Beautiful.
It's evoking like the dwarvesas well.
It's just really, really,really spot on.

The dwarves, the richness, the royalty, the
jewels.
Yes.
Yeah, I think it's really good.

One thing I want to talk about like as we
transition into the Maleficentone as well is like, are these
meant to be Halloween?
Like, yeah, right?
I

think they make sense to come out in fall.
It's like spooky season andeverything that I don't think
that they're necessarily tryingto be outright like this is our
Halloween collection but I dothink that they are trying to
utilize scent profiles that weassociate more with their fall
collections I think what's kindof really nice about them is

that I don't think that any ofthese scents feel necessarily
like a rehash of their fallscents they do feel like I would
agree they are something elsebut they do feel like they're
hitting at the right time

yeah

like they feel apart from everything but still
Yeah.
It makes

sense.
They didn't read Halloween.

Oh, interesting.
Yeah.

Anyway.

Interesting.
Let's

talk about Maleficent.

Let's talk about this Maleficent one.
This is hot.
It's

perfect.
The design is perfect.

The design is perfect and I really love the
hologram on the top of this.
Yes, if you're

not watching, the holograph on the top of this
one alternates betweenMaleficent as her fairy self and
then Maleficent in dragon form.

Out of the two, I will say, I think I prefer this
hologram design just becauseit's so fitting that you've got
this duality of this characterand you're able to do that,
which in some ways, I do thinkthat they chose the right one
for the Evil Queen, but she'sanother duality character.
She

transforms.
She could

be the hag.
We could have gotten like a hagmoment.
Especially because the

hag is featured in this collection.
The hag hand is featured

in the collection.
The hag hand is featured inthis and like it could have
been, they could have done thesilhouette of her like when
she's like punting the boat.
We love that so

much.
Why do we

love that so much?
That's so creepy.
I love anybody who's likepunting a boat.
Like I think that's Phantom ofthe Opera, Mayhem, Lady Gaga.
Like it's just hot.
It's hot.
The thing that I don'tnecessarily super love in this
design is I don't like, so onthe three wick, the Maleficent

(19:23):
design, you've got thorns andthen you've got these feathers
and then you have the dragonsilhouette.
It feels very asymmetrical.
Like because the feathers feelvery, very textured and then the
silhouette of the dragon isjust like very flat.
Yeah.
And the thorns are the same way.
I almost feel like we couldhave gotten rid of the feathers.
It could have just been likethorns and the dragon.

(19:44):
I would remove the wing as

well.
Yeah.
Because then it's almost likewith this, especially with this
frame around it, it's likeyou're peeking into the scene of
the dragons and the thorns.

Yeah.
Like it feels like there's sortof like this 3D thing and then
it becomes 2D on the lime green.
And then I feel like… I justfeel like the feather sort of
ruins that illusion a littlebit.

But I love that pop of the green and it's
just the

exact right green.
The green is right.
The green is right.
And I also really like the fontthat they chose for Maleficent.

Yeah, it's perfect.
I will say that smelling thisdoes evoke Lana Del Rey going, I
know.
This smells like that.

I feel like this evokes more Sleeping Beauty than
necessarily Maleficent.

Oh, darn.

I mean, I don't know what Maleficent would smell
like.

I think

she would lean.
This just sort of like smellslike a dark sleeping beauty.

This could, honestly, if you made me smell
this and you were like, this isBriar Rose, I would kind of
understand.

Yes.

But like, yeah, I feel like Maleficent
would lean a little bit moreinto the Moonlight Graveyard,
like that colder smell.
It's a little warm.

Yeah, it's very interesting because remember in
our previous episode where youtalked about princess candles
and we talked about if we wereto do a second wave of the
princesses because we weremissing Snow White and we were
missing Aurora the scentprofiles that we've gotten for
Maleficent and the Evil Queenare both scent profiles that we
attach to their respectiveprincesses like for Aurora I was

like she would be berries shewould be like berries floral
type of fall florals and thenhere Maleficent is and it's plum
berries and woods so like to meit does sort of feel

matches the world of the film

yes no it absolutely matches the world of
film, which I do think kind oflike is the objective.
When you've got a villain, Ithink it's very hard to...
Right.
Villains can have

very like bad smells.

Yeah.
Because like if you associatethem as bad, like you don't
necessarily want to keepsmelling them.
But this candle, I was talkingto my sister about this and I
was like, this is a candle thatwhen I smelled it in the store,
I did the sniff test.
I wasn't really into it.
But it passes the smell test.
When I burned this candle for along time, I actually think...

that Maleficent works really,really well as a candle.
It also works really, reallywell as a hand soap.
Whenever it has time to sort oflike aerate the scent and kind
of diffuse out into the air,it's so good.
It's really, really good.
It's very like atmospheric, Ifeel like, as a scent.

Number one, I give them props because they
both smell like they are fromthe same collection without
being the same.
And I think it's hard to do.
But...
It's interesting.
I have to keep going back andforth between them because they
are both in a good way.
They're not subtle smells.
They both have strong smells,but they're not like we were
saying.
The Evil Queen doesn't punchyou in the face with an apple
smell.

So they're very nuanced smells.
I think I'm a little bit biasedbecause apple smells from Bath
& Body Works specifically giveme happy hormones or something

because my favorite scent everis Cider Lane.
Cider Lane, honestly, is justlike I associate it with very

happy memories.
Thank you, Bath and Body Works.
It's back this season.
I

have two Cider Lanes in my possession now and
I thought that would neverhappen again.
But it's interesting.
When I do the lids, the smellthat reaches my nose first for
Evil Queen is apple, even thoughit's, again, nuanced.
And I'm telling you, in theMaleficent one, I'm getting a
flower.
So,

From the top, I agree.
I agree.
Because also, Evil Queen, whenyou smell the lid, you get apple
first, and I can smell the pearvery strongly in the top.
That doesn't necessarily hityou over the head.

I

just got like a candy apple smell almost from
the

lid.
I did too.
You smell

damn good, y'all.

You're so good.
I

can't stop smelling them.
They smell good.
We

need to figure out.
Okay, so now that we've gotvisuals, we need to now figure
out how we can incorporate scenttechnology into the podcast so
that y'all can smell these withus.
I think I have my answer for my

ranking of

these candles.
This is really hard.

Talking about them in candle form.

Yeah.

Design wise, I feel like I am gravitating more
towards the Evil Queen design.
I really love the colorchoices.
I think it's just like, I thinkthey really hit this one out of
the park and everything feelsbalanced in a way where like
Maleficent, like I've got likeat least one note about the

design of that particular candleThe hologram on top, I think
Maleficent wins for thehologram.
And then I bought a wallflowerfor this apartment and I only
bought one.
And the scent that I bought wasEvil Queen.
So I think for the scents, forthe candle and everything, I

think Evil Queen ekes out alittle bit just because I think
the scent match to the EvilQueen is just slightly better
than the scent match ofMaleficent to that character
ever so slightly.

Yeah.

But truly, I don't think you can go wrong
with either of these

scents.
No, I agree.
I agree.
And like, also if there's onething that I learned from the
Disney Princess Collection, it'sthat like even the ones that I
wasn't so into, once I likeburned them and really like
lived with them, I loved themall.
Like they were all really,really good.

Jasmine was a sleeper

hit.
I am burning her in my roomright now.
I think think for me I like theMaleficent scent generally more
but for what we're doing herewe're doing the Disney villains
collection it's the fall it'sspooky I think the evil queen is
a little bit of a better fitand I am a big fan in this

picture of how like especiallyonce you burn the candle lower
I'm sure that there's like someglow coming out of the green
part there on the one and thatis damn cool but I I think I
think I'll go Evil Queen, butit's very tough for me.
But I'll go Evil Queen.

I think it's Evil Queen numberone, Maleficent number two.
Very, very close.

Now let's talk the wallflowerplugs.
So we've got two.

We've got two.

All right.
So the first wallflowerplug-in.
So if you don't know what awallflower plug-in, these are
like the things that you pluginto the wall that become
nightlights and light up.
This one is really, reallyfreaking cool.
It is.
Stunning.
The dagger piercing the heartthat's like on the front of the
heart box of the Evil Queen.
But as you peer inside thejeweled heart, you can see the

silhouette of the like skullfrom the poison apple.
And the dagger itself hasjewels on the parts of the
dagger.
And then at the top has thecrown, the Evil Queen's crown.
This thing is really hard.
going on there there's a lot ofdetail this one I saw it

plugged in this one was reallyreally hot it was very effective

this image is just something I'm very it's
stunning it's something I'mdrawn to

it's so so good and the way that it lights up it
actually lights up the way thatI wanted the rose plug in to
light up this one lights up inthat way because the red is just
very it's very illuminated itlooks classy it looks expensive
and it's got the thing that welove about wallflowers of like
first time you look at it you'relike oh but there's more to see

each time yeah which I did

not catch the first time I saw it in the store
at all

yeah like I did not catch the detail that at the
top of the dagger of the hiltof the dagger is her crown like
that's super duper cool to me

yeah and then we've got Maleficent which is
like it's a it's a wind I thinkwhat it's supposed to be is like
a stained glass windowbasically that's all green but
around it it looks like her sowe've got her horns on top

we've

got her We've got wings on the side and two of
her staff is what it looks liketo me.
And then there's a raven in themiddle kind of perched on a
thorned branch and three purpleflowers at the bottom.

And like the stained glass window is kind of
like dragon scaled.

Yes, it is.
And like for me, it'sinteresting because this is such
a great Halloween vibe that I'mlike, I would buy this and I
would know when I would put itout.
It's clear.
That feels a little bit lessclear to me.
I love that Evil Queen one.
but I'm like when do I itdoesn't read I know it's
Halloween-y because I know whatit is but it doesn't read
Halloween to me and the heart isalso featured like the

(28:59):
basically the exact copy of thatis used in a candle pedestal
which we'll talk about later butI just don't like this feels a
little bit mishmash-y to me

yeah this feels kind of I think Maleficent has
the trouble with Maleficent isthere's so much like iconography
yeah there's so muchiconography that is associated
with Maleficent that you're likehow do I choose how do I
streamline it how do we includeit all and I think like that's
kind of the thing that washappening with the like Raven

wing in in the design where itfeels like they were just like
well we can kind of have it alland this wallflower feels like
it kind of has it all to thepoint of maybe being too much

yeah because like the flowers I know I could
have done away with the flowersbut I don't know what they're
really doing there and like

like I almost could have made Make the thorns
purple and get rid of theflowers.

And I was like, oh, what would I have
liked to see instead?
And it's difficult because whatI was thinking of is something
that's featured in like theshadow box candle pedestal
later.
But I'm like, oh, we could havejust had Maleficent's
silhouette because hersilhouette

is so iconic.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Or that too.

But yeah.

Or honestly, if they wanted to go, if they
wanted to keep going with likethe dagger heart piercing thing,
like they could have made this

spinning

wheel.
Maleficent's staff.

Staff.

They have the staff in there, but they could
have just like take that momentand zoom that out.
The staff lights up and maybelike inside the ball of the orb
of the staff is like a dragonsilhouette or something like
that.

Right.
Or like, yeah, I mean, again,we can't pick too much
iconography.
Or spinning wheel.
Yeah, but the spinning wheel.
I don't want to, again, we'rejust criticizing them for
throwing in too many images, butthe spinning wheel isn't really
anywhere here.
Or even just like Maleficent'smagic and those flames are
stunning and like if we're gonnaplay with shooting light from
behind something I mean therewas just so much there we could

have done with her green flamemagic

yeah like I think I think it probably would have
behooved them to kind of takethe orb of her staff and make
that the thing that lights upmake that bigger and make that
the thing like you're doing aclose-up shot on that and then
put something inside the orblike it's almost like a divining
thing like in the way that shesort of conjures in the scene

with when she curses the babylike right

out of the

gate where she like puts her hand over top of

mirror holder from the DisneyPrincess Collection.
This is very reminiscent ofthat, but it's got a black frame

supported at the base with likegold filigree ornate stuff the
the jeweled heart itself is sortof outlined with rhinestones

This is the hag's hand.
So the base of it is sort oflike a swirling textile of her
black cloak.
And then you have this sort oflike ghostly white hand holding
a shiny red apple with the greenskull poison dripping down.

And then there's sort of like asilver platter that sits at the
top to support the candle offthe pedestal.
Yeah.
For the Maleficent shadow boxone, this is cool because this
one lights up.

There's a lot of detail on thisone.
So it's sort of like thisiridescent green purple metal

The sides of it are like wallsof thorns.
And then the front, you've gotstone steps leading up.
You've got two green orbs verysimilar to the style of her
staff.

like gothic window with like aportcullis starting and then at

That's her accent color of thiscollection.

whereas again, the Evil Queenone was like that square heart

the bottom part of it iscovered in those iridescent
greenish purplish ombre dragonscales which do look really
fantastic here

and then the mirror is actually floating
within the shape of Maleficent'slike you know head sort of so
it's like there's a black it'sfloating in the middle yeah you
can turn it it's floating withinthat and we've got two smaller
Maleficent dragon horns on thetop and like connecting the
mirror to the base there's likethis little green gem happening.

It's very interesting because I feel like
for me, the one that fits mystyle or the one that I'm like,
ooh, this feel, I love the sortof like sleek minimalism of the
Maleficent one and the floatingmirror and everything, the
color, it's more subdued andeverything.
It's

a little bit more sophisticated.

But come on, this heart box to hold your trinkets
and then you've got the magicmirror and actually this one
does kind of look like themirror itself floats

much better yeah and I'm like I wonder I'm
probably asking too much fromthis when we have this bigger
one I do I'm like the way thatthe face appears in there does
look a little cheap like itlooks like a little bit like a
kid's toy so

points out for me for that because I'm like
this would be more like decorfor me for Halloween where I'm
like oh I have the magic mirrorfrom Snow White versus I'm gonna
have this in my room to put mythings in it feels a little
childish to me

sure but then I would say you don't have to
light up the magic mirror's facelike honestly if this if the
magic mirror's face was not litup

I think it's a really really cool thing
especially if you are a SnowWhite fan an Evil Queen fan
because like if you look at someof the detail around the yeah

kind of fun but yeah no I reallyenjoy the floating aspect of
this too but actually I wouldhave preferred that the dragon
scales be smaller and subtler onthis

I almost could have done a different texture
than dragon scales like I knowthe dragon scales have been part
of the collection but like Ialmost wonder like what if it
was what if this was blackfeathers

or what if this was like textile like her robe
sort of thing it had sort ofbecause her robe Her robes are
very cool because they're black,but they have sort of like a
purple pinky lining to them.
I kind of wish that like maybethe base of this was that black
purple pink color.
So that it was more of

It's a purple and gold pattern it's giving Dooney

silhouette of the castle you'vegot a silhouette of the magic
mirror you've got a silhouetteof the poison apple and you've
got a silhouette of the heartbox that are in these like
diamonds and then you also havethe evil queen's face herself
yeah it's interesting to see

her actual face on this yeah

yes but then what's super It's kind of
rectangular in shape and thezipper goes up on a diagonal
around the sides across the topand then down the diagonal on
the other side.
And then we have the Maleficentone.
This is very different becausethis one is not opaque.

So you've got this sort of likeiridescent blue kind of like

almost that has the thornscoming in from the edges and

When I first saw the Evil Queen one, I
thought it was going to be ageneric Disney villain

The whole collection is expensive.

But it's well made and it's going to last.

And this scratches that itch for me that
we were talking about earlier oflike, is this collection for
Halloween?
This is Halloween.
If you don't know what this is,it's just a Halloween raven.
And if you know, it's like, ohmy God,

it's

Diablo on the top of the staff.

They kind of like both are that way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But like, I think Diablo has alittle bit more, subtlety I
think to him but also I'm likeit's a minion like both of these
make you feel like the villain.
You are the villain.
That's what you want.
That's what you're

doing when you put the body spray on right?
Like that's what you want tofeel like.
You want to feel like you'rethem.
Yeah

you want to channel your inner villain and I
do think while both of themenable you to do that because
like Evil Queen like she's likeI just think like having my pet
like come

on.
I mean I want to use this andI'm going to but like I also
want to put him on my shelf overhere too.
He's

stunning.
Which you can do.
Like that's the thing.
Use him for the Halloweenseason and then when you're done
put him on the shelf.
Put him on the shelf.
It's a collector's item.
These truly both I think arecollector's items.
Like they could truly be shelfdecorations.
I think they're that good.
They're phenomenal.

Phenomenal.

Okay.
So that's all of the littlebits and bobs of the collection
that we were going to rank andreview.
I think ultimately for me wherethings kind of have shaken out
I've come down pretty prettyhard like an evil queen stan in
this collection like if I had tochoose the majority of one

collection over the other Ithink I'm an evil queen girly
more than a Maleficent girly butI do have to say personally my
like product of the line, likeof the collection is the Diablo
soap dispenser.
I think that's the single bestthing in the whole thing.
I

think I agree with you.
Part of me just wants to belike, you're Evil Queen, I'm
Maleficent.

I know.
Which honestly- And I'm not

far from being convinced that that is the
case.

That was kind of the initial reaction because I
remember getting a text from youwhen you went that you were
like, I smelled Evil Queen and Ihate it.
And I love the Maleficent one.
And then I was like, I'm atBath and Body Works right now.
I'm like, I smell the EvilQueen one.
And I fell in love with it.
And I hate Maleficent.

And it's so funny.
This is so reminiscent.
When I smell the Evil Queen, itis so reminiscent of my
experience of smelling Belle andTiana, which I, at first in the
Princess Collection, kind ofwas like, these are too heavy.
And then I burned them and Iloved them.
I think that's what's happeningto me with Evil Queen.
But the funny thing about thiscampaign overall, because they
only have the two.

I mean, they did this with theDisney Princesses.
as well but they very theyleaned very heavily in this
campaign of like are you an evilqueen or are you a Maleficent
like which one are you sohonestly just to keep this fun
for the sake of this I'm gonnago Maleficent because honestly
when I think about it yes myfavorite item is the soap and I
cannot lose like that thatcandle pedestal either

that's true that's true and I

really and I am a I am a Moonlight Graveyard
girl till the end and this islike in that Zen family so I'm
very comfortable and I'm tellingyou there's a rose thing in
there and I love anything rosescented so like I can feel I can
feel comfortable going overalloverall Maleficent even though
as a character I think we'rereversed I think character love

wise you might be more of aMaleficent stan I may be more of
an evil queen but like

whatever so I think reflecting on the
collection what we would do inthe future things like things
like that just general thoughtsabout it I think in choosing two
villains, I think they chosethe correct villains for this.
Because also, it's nice thatthey chose two villains that are

associated with two princessesthat were not included in the
Disney Princess Collection.
We didn't get Snow White.
We didn't get Aurora.
So this is a way of sort oflike getting them without
getting them.
So I really liked that they didthat.
However, I want Ursula.

I also look back at when we predicted this
collection and I very much wouldhave enjoyed a Gaston I

think a

leathery

a leathery yes or or even like I've seen people
also say this and I would agreeto like a Captain Hook where you
get something a little bit more

like ocean-y

or or just sort of like musky cologne-y

oh oh

yeah like more like cologne and I

think I wonder if their thinking is like not
for nothing I think this theseBath and Body Works in general
is is more marketed towardswomen, although the men's
collection is growing and isexcellent.

The men's collection, people, you should
not sleep on the men'scollection.
My everyday cologne that I wearis Bath & Body Works.
My shower gel is Bath & BodyWorks.
My husband as well,

and he smells damn good.
And like, I think they mighthave been thinking the way that
probably, I hate thesestereotypes, but probably
majority of the customers forthe Disney Princess Collection
were women because, yeah, Iguess women are more likely to
also wear those scents but likenumber one if they had put some
male villains in here Iabsolutely would have bought

products for them maybe itwouldn't have been body care but
then I think they could haveincreased the customer base
because I could totally see likeI think my husband would have
worn scents from the collection

yeah honestly I could have seen them doing like
two and two two female villainstwo male villains they could
have done they could have goneGaston or Captain Hook for like
a more sweet like whiskeybourbon-y that kind of thing and
then as one of the charactersand then they could have gone

like Hades Dr.
Facilier for like

Dr.
Facilier would smell somethingsmoky so sexy

ooh actually missed opportunity Dr.
Facilier is hot yeah

okay okay hear me out I mean

hear me out for sure I did read online that
there was they had theirinvestor board or whatever
meeting bath and body works andthey have signed a multi-year
collaboration deal with disneyso the sky's the limit i'm sure
that's part of it as wellbecause they launched the disney
princess collection obviouslythere's so much built-in love

for so many different princessesso why not feature many of them
but i think they were like whoathat was really successful
let's not just like blow throughall of these characters because
then what are we gonna do so ihave a feeling that that's part
of the reason why we only gottwo villains and also they
probably we didn't have a ton oftime to prep this as well after
the success of the princesses

I think probably I think it's that I think it's
this is also their first globallaunch

right

so Disney princesses was not available
worldwide so having a smallerinventory means that they can
make more of it and have it moreavailable so like I haven't
seen as many issues of thingsrunning out in the way that the
Disney princess collection hashappened so I think that that is
ultimately a a good thing likeyou want the collaboration to be

successful and you want peopleto be able to get it

yeah and I was disappointed at first that it
was only two but there is a hugerange of items in this
collection like I didn't walk inand feel like I didn't have a
lot to look at

there was tons to look at there was plenty to
look at and then the other thingis if Disney Villains is gonna
come out around spooky seasonthat is also fall and Christmas
Halloween and Christmas are thetwo biggest like most most
product dense moments for Bathand Body Works.
There's a lot of productsalready out.

We've got their Halloweenstuff.
Then we have Fall in general.
And then now we have Disneyvillains.
There's a lot of stuff out.
So I can understand being like,okay, we're going to do two
because we don't need tocompletely overrun our store.
Yeah, if they had launched

villains at the same time as princesses,
they could have done a fullvillains collection because it's
like that.

Right, because it was that early spring time
where it was Kind of like,

eh, what is it?
What

holiday is it?
Yeah.
People don't know what kind ofscent they're buying yet because
we're not in florals for springyet.
So they could afford to belike, hey, here's six princesses
and all of their shit.
And everyone's like, great, I'mgoing to buy six candles now.

I'm still, that's, okay.
On that note, on that note, theone thing I will say is,
obviously you all know, or ifyou don't, you should totally go
back and listen to our Disneyprincess episode.
We bought every single scentfrom that collection because the
prices for the three-wickcandle, and we bought three-wick
candle candles for all of themtoo.
The prices were more in linewith the typical Bath and Body

Works three wick candle price.
I would have bought a three.
Number one, I like three wicksmore.
I like a lot of

scent.
I do too.

And also the three wicks in this collection
are beautiful.
The casing and everything, thehologram, it's all beautiful.
It was far too expensive for meto invest in that.

This collection was much more expensive.
Yeah.
These

single wicks were $18.95 each.

Yes.
We fortunately got them on aday where they were having a
deal of two for 20.
So basically, it was like buyone, get one free.
I got

lucky.
I had a reward that was $18.95or less.
Get a free item.
Blessed.
But I couldn't afford,especially because I didn't know
which scent.
I couldn't afford to spend $80on two candles.

Yeah, those candles, they're $40 a pop.
That's a hefty price for acandle.
And I get that they've got likethe...
top is really embellished andyou've got the hologram and
stuff like that but

but I'm kind of like listen even I've had a
lot of you know three wick I'vehad I've bought some of the
fancy three wick tops before atthe end of the day even if I
aspire to keep the jar I'm notkeeping it so I wish that we had
saved the hologram effect forsomething else in the collection

or like the pedestal like where you yeah

I'm gonna get rid of it I'm gonna get rid of
it

yeah

so

yeah it's too expensive for a like a one-time
use item

yeah especially the way that we burn
through three wicks like

true

very very true so I think our humble advice to
our good friends at Bath andBody Works is please keep doing
this yes please keep doing this

we want more

do not forget us Take our advice and then also
your price point and yourconsumer base is probably closer
to what the success of thePrincess Collection was more so
than the Villains Collection.
But the way in which you ampedup the designs, the products,

the vibes for the DisneyVillains Collection is exactly
what we were looking for and itdid not disappoint at

all.
And the in-store setups arereally, really gorgeous.
Like there's a reason you seeeverybody going in there and
filming them because it's justdisplayed beautifully.
And like I appreciate the careput into that for a two-cent
collection.
Like that's, yeah, we're eatingthis up.

We really are.

And it hit at a really nicetime too because it's right
before spooky season really.

That's what I'm saying is like this is the
time of year.
I mean this is a season agowhen we did our fall.
candle bracket another thingyou should go back and listen to

huge Disney huge Bath and BodyWorks fans go hard on Bath and
Body Works like this is when wego and stock up and if you had
told us a year ago that we wouldget to buy Disney villain
