And I was like, oh my God, Ibet you that they have the
Disney erotica books.
And Caroline was like, oh, theyprobably don't.
And I was like, well, whatwould you do if they did?
And she was like, if they haveone of the books, I will buy it.
And I looked right over.
And Conor just goes.
(00:34):
Locked in.
So Caroline has the Beauty andthe Beast erotica.
Caroline Aimetti (00:40):

pearls.

Conor Perkins (03:36):
welcome all right
so this is our last tips and
tricks episode Right.
Of season four.
Caroline Aimetti (03:44):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (03:45):
So, Caroline, you
want to tell people what we're
doing?
I
Caroline Aimetti (03:48):
do.
This is going to be our secondtips and tricks of this season
dedicated to Bath and BodyWorks.
So, as I'm sure you know, thereis a Disney Villains collection
out right now, both in storesand online at Bath and Body
Works.
And you know, we flipped outwhen we heard about it.
(04:10):
Also, if you're If you listenedto our Disney Princess
Collection episode, Oh DePrincess, if you're looking for
it, we kind of called that therewas going to be a Disney
Villains Collection.
Conor Perkins (04:20):
We kind of
Caroline Aimetti (04:20):
called it.
We were pretty dead on there,if I do say so myself.
So we obviously need to walkthrough this collection with you
very much in the same way thatwe did with the Disney Princess
Collection.
So we'll give you like kind ofthe overview of the scents and
the styles that we're workingwith.
And then we'll kind of gothrough this time because
(04:41):
because there are only twocharacters represented in this
collection we're really going tobe able to go through product
by product for you and give youlittle rankings of our favorite
stuff
Conor Perkins (04:52):
and because we
have video now you all can see
all of the things that we'reseeing and I put together some
little visuals to accompany thisso we can go through it all and
talk about it
Caroline Aimetti (05:06):
also I know
some of you just enjoy listening
to the podcast just as an audioexperience and I I completely
respect that, but obviously webought things from the
collection as well that we havehere with us and we want to show
it to you.
So this is a very good episodeto watch on YouTube if you are
not right now.
Conor Perkins (05:22):
You can do both.
Caroline Aimetti (05:23):
You can do
both.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Conor Perkins (05:25):
All right.
So this is the Bath and BodyWorks Disney Villains
collaboration.
That
Caroline Aimetti (05:32):
is hot.
Conor Perkins (05:33):
It's real good.
We got two characters.
We got Maleficent and we gotthe Evil Queen.
And so I'm going to take youthrough some of the things that
we bought.
that are in the Evil Queencollection.
And then Caroline's going to gothrough sort of like a
description of the Maleficentcollection for you.
Caroline Aimetti (05:48):
Gorgeous.
Gorgeous.
Conor Perkins (05:51):
So for the Evil
Queen, the scent notes here are
dark red apple, vanilla suede, and wicked pear.
So what it smells like, ruledby envy, the Evil Queen wields
beauty as her weapon andambition as her crown.
This fragrance is her legacy,an opulent, fruity sweetness
gilded in velvet vanilla poison.
(06:12):
The design, it's a bunch ofroyal purples, ruby reds, and
golds.
The products feature symbolslike the poison apple as a ruby
jewel and also not.
The magic mirror, the hag'shands, the evil queen's
silhouette, the queen's castle, the evil queen's crown, and then
(06:32):
the jeweled heart pierced bythe dagger from the queen's
heart box.
And so these are all setagainst like a deep purple sort
of smoky In this line, we got abunch of different products.
We got a three-wick candle, asingle-wick candle, foaming hand
soap, laundry detergent, lipgloss, diamond shimmer mist,
(06:54):
fine fragrance mist, pocketbachand sanitizer, ultimate
hydration body cream, body wash, wallflower fragrance refill,
the pierced heart candlepedestal, the poison apple
candle holder, the pierced heartwallflower scent control
nightlight, poison apple soap.
Dispenser, Poison Apple Glow inthe Dark Pocketbac Holder,
(07:15):
Mirror Light Up PocketbacHolder, Light Up Body Care Tray
with Mirror, which these are socool and we'll talk about them
in a second.
And then we got a cosmetic bag.
So if you're looking for ascent match for this, it was
taking me some time to kind oflike figure out what it was.
But I think if you take SunriseWoods, which has kind of like a
(07:37):
sandalwood, vanilla-y, cashmerekind of note, And then you
mixed that with afternoon applepicking, which has apple and
pear and cinnamon.
You would just lose thecinnamon.
If you put those two scentstogether, it's that.
Like if this wasn't called EvilQueen, I would call it like
warm apple cashmere or somethinglike that.
(07:57):
That feels like what they wouldcall this.
Yeah.
Caroline Aimetti (08:00):
Something in
here reminds me of Belle a
little bit.
I
Conor Perkins (08:05):
think it's the
vanilla because the Belle had
the vanilla with the rose.
Rose.
Caroline Aimetti (08:12):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (08:14):
I like it.
I
Caroline Aimetti (08:15):
like it too.
Conor Perkins (08:16):
It's very
interesting that you say that
because you said that youdidn't.
Caroline Aimetti (08:19):
Yeah, no, I
like it.
I like it now.
Conor Perkins (08:22):
Okay.
Caroline Aimetti (08:22):
This is what
happens to me with these.
Conor Perkins (08:23):
Okay.
Caroline Aimetti (08:24):
I think I get
overwhelmed when I'm in the
store.
I don't know.
I can't focus.
But now as this, as an isolatedscent.
Conor Perkins (08:33):
That's good.
So that's the Evil Queencollection.
We'll dive into more of thestuff later.
Now let's talk about theMaleficent collection.
Oh,
Caroline Aimetti (08:43):
let's.
Oh, my God, these vibes.
Okay, so the scent notes forthe Maleficent collection are
sinister plum, midnight berries, and mystical woods.
And what it smells like?
She's the mistress of all evilfor a reason, both fruity and
(09:04):
woody.
This fragrance evokes thefierce magic of Maleficent's
enchanted realm.
It's more than a Unsettling,sure.
But the vibe is so alluring.
You can't help but be drawn toit.
Did I write this?
Conor Perkins (09:17):
I love these
descriptions.
These descriptions are so extraand I love them.
They
Caroline Aimetti (09:21):
literally said
the vibe.
I mean,
Conor Perkins (09:22):
thank you.
I know.
It's very you.
Caroline Aimetti (09:25):
Whoever is
working in the background at
Bath & Body Works.
Conor Perkins (09:27):
We see you.
We love you.
Caroline Aimetti (09:30):
We love you.
We know that you listen.
Do you listen to the vibe?
Anyway, the design of thiscollection, a lot of the
collection is covered in thesepurpley green iridescent ombre
dragon scales yeah stunning withthese ornate black frames and
black silhouettes of dragonsthorns ravens and Maleficent
(09:53):
herself there's even some likefeathers wings all of that there
are pops of lime green andsometimes entire products in
lime green across the collectionreminiscent of the color of
Maleficent's magic from the filmand there are purple roses
throughout this collection aswell So as you can see, if
you're looking on YouTube atthis visual, it's just like
(10:13):
purple and that lime green.
And that's what I'm trying toevoke with my background today.
Products in this collection, just like the Evil Queen
collection, there are quite afew.
So we've got the three wickcandle, the single wick candle,
foaming hand soap, laundrydetergent, lip gloss, diamond
shimmer mist, fine fragrancemist, pocketbac hand sanitizer,
(10:37):
ultimate hydration body cream,body wash.
For this scent match, I feellike I am getting a little bit
(11:07):
of Diamond of the Season inhere.
I think the It's like thisheavier fruitiness that Diamond
of the Season had as well.
Like Diamond of the Season hadpear in there, but it was a
heavier, more perfumed pear.
And I'm getting a little bit ofthat in here.
And then I'm like mixed withlike Twilight Woods.
It's interesting becausethrough the description, I
(11:28):
expected a...
I don't know what else to saybesides that.
That is Moonlit Graveyard, which I actually really love.
Based on the description, Ithought there was going to be a
little bit more of that in thereand it's not quite that.
Conor Perkins (11:44):
Oh, see, that's
very interesting that you said
that because… And
Caroline Aimetti (11:47):
there's like
rose.
I
Conor Perkins (11:49):
think that's the
plum in it really is kind of
like very similar and theberries because there's plum and
berries in it.
Caroline Aimetti (11:55):
And there's no
floral notes according to them,
but…
Conor Perkins (11:58):
No, but it's… I
get something floral in there.
I think the woods kind of likegives it a little bit of like
floral.
So I think that combined withthe plum makes it feel a little
floral.
But I remember when I went tothe store and I smelled this one
the first time, I was like, Ithought it smelled very similar
to Moonlight Graveyard.
And like I immediately got hitby the notes of the sort of like
(12:20):
the woods scent.
And I was very sort of likekind of, I was underwhelmed by
this one.
It's
Caroline Aimetti (12:28):
so funny.
I really love this.
Conor Perkins (12:30):
And I know that
you had the opposite reaction.
You were underwhelmed by theevil queen.
And I was like, I'm not intothis.
I bought the single wick candleof Maleficent.
I bought the single wick of theevil queen.
But I will say I have burnedcandle warmed Maleficent and my
(12:53):
opinion has shifted slightly andwe'll probably talk about it a
little bit.
Okay.
As we move into the nextsection of this, which is kind
of review Thank you.
Thank you.
All right.
(13:32):
So this is the Evil Queen threewicks.
So if you aren't watching theEvil Queen three wick, it's a
big purple candle.
It's got like the hag handsaround this like jeweled apple.
You've got these like goldfiligrees that sort of outline
the magic mirror along thesides.
(13:53):
And then up at the top, you'vegot this gold cover lid thing
that has like an ornate sort ofdesign and has this holographic
apple that depending on how youlook at it is an apple and then
also shows the sort of like thepoison side of it
Caroline Aimetti (14:11):
it's very cool
Conor Perkins (14:13):
it's really cool
I really dig this scent and I
think it's actually a reallyreally good match the evil queen
like when I smelled this I waslike this smells regal it smells
yeah like if she
Caroline Aimetti (14:26):
walked by me I
would expect her to smell like
this I would expect that this iswhat the her potion room smells
like.
Conor Perkins (14:33):
It's got just
enough of the apple to it that
like it's telling me, yeah,we're in Snow White and
everything like that, but it'snot like so many other fall
scents.
I think apple can be, it's verymuch like the front runner,
like the very, like theforefront of this.
It's hidden in there.
It feels more balanced betweenall of the different, the
(14:53):
vanilla is very balanced in thesame way that I thought, I'm
glad that you said this, thebell candle was very balanced
between rose and vanilla whereusually rose hits kind of like
harder in most things
Caroline Aimetti (15:06):
I was actually
surprised by this I thought
they were just gonna go straightfor the apple concept and yeah
it's very much layered in there
Conor Perkins (15:15):
yeah there's like
it's yeah it's
Caroline Aimetti (15:17):
and I feel
like there is a very nice
cohesiveness between what thissmells like and what the design
looks like I don't know how toexplain that but it's like I
also just really I'm very intothe purple with the gold accents
Conor Perkins (15:30):
that is stunning
the purple and the gold It's
just so
Caroline Aimetti (15:32):
pretty.
And then the pops of the red.
It's so, right.
It's so, the design, the designfor both of these, I really,
it's spot on.
It's
Conor Perkins (15:42):
really gorgeous.
The one thing about the designthat I don't fully understand is
like there's kind of likestars.
Oh.
And I don't really know whatthat's necessarily about.
There's also this interestingthing that's happening in the.
Is
Caroline Aimetti (15:55):
there like a
flower pattern on the fabric?
Look at that.
Do you see that?
Conor Perkins (16:00):
On the candle,
there's like, sort of like an
etching it's almost I think it'ssmoke
Caroline Aimetti (16:04):
there's like
smoke at the bottom but then if
you look at the top there's likefolded up fabric like of her
dress and it has like a flowerpattern on it it's very
intricate
Conor Perkins (16:13):
oh I see that I
see that oh no I'm talking about
like looking at the actualcandle itself it's like 3D I see
that yes I see that too there'slike an etching into it of like
smoke
Caroline Aimetti (16:21):
yeah I see
that too also both the the apple
and then the heart in otherparts of the collection both
being this like ruby yeah thisis like Beautiful.
It's evoking like the dwarvesas well.
It's just really, really, really spot on.
Conor Perkins (16:38):
The dwarves, the
richness, the royalty, the
jewels.
Yes.
Yeah, I think it's really good.
Caroline Aimetti (16:44):
One thing I
want to talk about like as we
transition into the Maleficentone as well is like, are these
meant to be Halloween?
Like, yeah, right?
I
Conor Perkins (16:54):
think they make
sense to come out in fall.
It's like spooky season andeverything that I don't think
that they're necessarily tryingto be outright like this is our
Halloween collection but I dothink that they are trying to
utilize scent profiles that weassociate more with their fall
collections I think what's kindof really nice about them is
(17:15):
that I don't think that any ofthese scents feel necessarily
like a rehash of their fallscents they do feel like I would
agree they are something elsebut they do feel like they're
hitting at the right time
Caroline Aimetti (17:28):
yeah
Conor Perkins (17:28):
like they feel
apart from everything but still
Yeah.
It makes
Caroline Aimetti (17:38):
sense.
They didn't read Halloween.
Conor Perkins (18:03):
Oh, interesting.
Yeah.
Caroline Aimetti (18:04):
Anyway.
Conor Perkins (18:04):
Interesting.
Let's
Caroline Aimetti (18:05):
talk about
Maleficent.
Conor Perkins (18:07):
Let's talk about
this Maleficent one.
This is hot.
It's
Caroline Aimetti (18:11):
perfect.
The design is perfect.
Conor Perkins (18:13):
The design is
perfect and I really love the
hologram on the top of this.
Yes, if you're
Caroline Aimetti (18:19):
not watching,
the holograph on the top of this
one alternates betweenMaleficent as her fairy self and
then Maleficent in dragon form.
Conor Perkins (18:26):
Out of the two, I
will say, I think I prefer this
hologram design just becauseit's so fitting that you've got
this duality of this characterand you're able to do that,
which in some ways, I do thinkthat they chose the right one
for the Evil Queen, but she'sanother duality character.
She
Caroline Aimetti (18:45):
transforms.
She could
Conor Perkins (18:47):
be the hag.
We could have gotten like a hagmoment.
Especially because the
Caroline Aimetti (18:49):
hag is
featured in this collection.
The hag hand is featured
Conor Perkins (18:52):
in the
collection.
The hag hand is featured inthis and like it could have
been, they could have done thesilhouette of her like when
she's like punting the boat.
We love that so
Caroline Aimetti (18:59):
much.
Why do we
Conor Perkins (19:00):
love that so
much?
That's so creepy.
I love anybody who's likepunting a boat.
Like I think that's Phantom ofthe Opera, Mayhem, Lady Gaga.
Like it's just hot.
It's hot.
The thing that I don'tnecessarily super love in this
design is I don't like, so onthe three wick, the Maleficent
(19:23):
design, you've got thorns andthen you've got these feathers
and then you have the dragonsilhouette.
It feels very asymmetrical.
Like because the feathers feelvery, very textured and then the
silhouette of the dragon isjust like very flat.
Yeah.
And the thorns are the same way.
I almost feel like we couldhave gotten rid of the feathers.
It could have just been likethorns and the dragon.
(19:44):
I would remove the wing as
Caroline Aimetti (19:45):
well.
Yeah.
Because then it's almost likewith this, especially with this
frame around it, it's likeyou're peeking into the scene of
the dragons and the thorns.
Conor Perkins (19:53):
Yeah.
Like it feels like there's sortof like this 3D thing and then
it becomes 2D on the lime green.
And then I feel like… I justfeel like the feather sort of
ruins that illusion a littlebit.
Caroline Aimetti (20:05):
But I love
that pop of the green and it's
just the
Conor Perkins (20:08):
exact right
green.
The green is right.
The green is right.
And I also really like the fontthat they chose for Maleficent.
Caroline Aimetti (20:13):
Yeah, it's
perfect.
I will say that smelling thisdoes evoke Lana Del Rey going, I
know.
This smells like that.
Conor Perkins (20:23):
I feel like this
evokes more Sleeping Beauty than
necessarily Maleficent.
Caroline Aimetti (20:28):
Oh, darn.
Conor Perkins (20:28):
I mean, I don't
know what Maleficent would smell
like.
Caroline Aimetti (20:31):
I think
Conor Perkins (20:32):
she would lean.
This just sort of like smellslike a dark sleeping beauty.
Caroline Aimetti (20:37):
This could,
honestly, if you made me smell
this and you were like, this isBriar Rose, I would kind of
understand.
Conor Perkins (20:42):
Yes.
Caroline Aimetti (20:43):
But like,
yeah, I feel like Maleficent
would lean a little bit moreinto the Moonlight Graveyard,
like that colder smell.
It's a little warm.
Conor Perkins (20:52):
Yeah, it's very
interesting because remember in
our previous episode where youtalked about princess candles
and we talked about if we wereto do a second wave of the
princesses because we weremissing Snow White and we were
missing Aurora the scentprofiles that we've gotten for
Maleficent and the Evil Queenare both scent profiles that we
attach to their respectiveprincesses like for Aurora I was
(21:14):
like she would be berries shewould be like berries floral
type of fall florals and thenhere Maleficent is and it's plum
berries and woods so like to meit does sort of feel
Caroline Aimetti (21:28):
matches the
world of the film
Conor Perkins (21:29):
yes no it
absolutely matches the world of
film, which I do think kind oflike is the objective.
When you've got a villain, Ithink it's very hard to...
Right.
Villains can have
Caroline Aimetti (21:37):
very like bad
smells.
Conor Perkins (21:39):
Yeah.
Because like if you associatethem as bad, like you don't
necessarily want to keepsmelling them.
But this candle, I was talkingto my sister about this and I
was like, this is a candle thatwhen I smelled it in the store,
I did the sniff test.
I wasn't really into it.
But it passes the smell test.
When I burned this candle for along time, I actually think...
(22:01):
that Maleficent works really, really well as a candle.
It also works really, reallywell as a hand soap.
Whenever it has time to sort oflike aerate the scent and kind
of diffuse out into the air,it's so good.
It's really, really good.
It's very like atmospheric, Ifeel like, as a scent.
Caroline Aimetti (22:24):
Number one, I
give them props because they
both smell like they are fromthe same collection without
being the same.
And I think it's hard to do.
But...
It's interesting.
I have to keep going back andforth between them because they
are both in a good way.
They're not subtle smells.
They both have strong smells, but they're not like we were
saying.
The Evil Queen doesn't punchyou in the face with an apple
smell.
(22:44):
So they're very nuanced smells.
I think I'm a little bit biasedbecause apple smells from Bath
& Body Works specifically giveme happy hormones or something
(23:04):
because my favorite scent everis Cider Lane.
Cider Lane, honestly, is justlike I associate it with very
Conor Perkins (23:09):
happy memories.
Thank you, Bath and Body Works.
It's back this season.
I
Caroline Aimetti (23:12):
have two Cider
Lanes in my possession now and
I thought that would neverhappen again.
But it's interesting.
When I do the lids, the smellthat reaches my nose first for
Evil Queen is apple, even thoughit's, again, nuanced.
And I'm telling you, in theMaleficent one, I'm getting a
flower.
So,
Conor Perkins (23:31):
From the top, I
agree.
I agree.
Because also, Evil Queen, whenyou smell the lid, you get apple
first, and I can smell the pearvery strongly in the top.
That doesn't necessarily hityou over the head.
(23:51):
I
Caroline Aimetti (23:52):
just got like
a candy apple smell almost from
the
Conor Perkins (23:56):
lid.
I did too.
You smell
Caroline Aimetti (23:59):
damn good,
y'all.
Conor Perkins (24:00):
You're so good.
I
Caroline Aimetti (24:01):
can't stop
smelling them.
They smell good.
We
Conor Perkins (24:03):
need to figure
out.
Okay, so now that we've gotvisuals, we need to now figure
out how we can incorporate scenttechnology into the podcast so
that y'all can smell these withus.
I think I have my answer for my
Caroline Aimetti (24:16):
ranking of
Conor Perkins (24:17):
these candles.
This is really hard.
Caroline Aimetti (24:19):
Yeah, go
ahead.
Conor Perkins (24:20):
Talking about
them in candle form.
Caroline Aimetti (24:23):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (24:24):
Design wise, I
feel like I am gravitating more
towards the Evil Queen design.
I really love the colorchoices.
I think it's just like, I thinkthey really hit this one out of
the park and everything feelsbalanced in a way where like
Maleficent, like I've got likeat least one note about the
(24:44):
design of that particular candleThe hologram on top, I think
Maleficent wins for thehologram.
And then I bought a wallflowerfor this apartment and I only
bought one.
And the scent that I bought wasEvil Queen.
So I think for the scents, forthe candle and everything, I
(25:05):
think Evil Queen ekes out alittle bit just because I think
the scent match to the EvilQueen is just slightly better
than the scent match ofMaleficent to that character
ever so slightly.
Caroline Aimetti (25:21):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (25:23):
But truly, I
don't think you can go wrong
with either of these
Caroline Aimetti (25:26):
scents.
No, I agree.
I agree.
And like, also if there's onething that I learned from the
Disney Princess Collection, it'sthat like even the ones that I
wasn't so into, once I likeburned them and really like
lived with them, I loved themall.
Like they were all really, really good.
Conor Perkins (25:40):
Jasmine was a
sleeper
Caroline Aimetti (25:43):
hit.
I am burning her in my roomright now.
I think think for me I like theMaleficent scent generally more
but for what we're doing herewe're doing the Disney villains
collection it's the fall it'sspooky I think the evil queen is
a little bit of a better fitand I am a big fan in this
(26:06):
picture of how like especiallyonce you burn the candle lower
I'm sure that there's like someglow coming out of the green
part there on the one and thatis damn cool but I I think I
think I'll go Evil Queen, butit's very tough for me.
But I'll go Evil Queen.
Conor Perkins (26:24):
Yeah.
It was close.
I think it's Evil Queen numberone, Maleficent number two.
Very, very close.
Caroline Aimetti (26:31):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (26:32):
All right.
Now let's talk the wallflowerplugs.
So we've got two.
Caroline Aimetti (26:37):
We've got two.
Conor Perkins (26:38):
All right.
So the first wallflowerplug-in.
So if you don't know what awallflower plug-in, these are
like the things that you pluginto the wall that become
nightlights and light up.
This one is really, reallyfreaking cool.
It is.
Stunning.
The dagger piercing the heartthat's like on the front of the
heart box of the Evil Queen.
But as you peer inside thejeweled heart, you can see the
(27:01):
silhouette of the like skullfrom the poison apple.
And the dagger itself hasjewels on the parts of the
dagger.
And then at the top has thecrown, the Evil Queen's crown.
This thing is really hard.
going on there there's a lot ofdetail this one I saw it
(27:22):
plugged in this one was reallyreally hot it was very effective
Caroline Aimetti (27:28):
this image is
just something I'm very it's
stunning it's something I'mdrawn to
Conor Perkins (27:33):
it's so so good
and the way that it lights up it
actually lights up the way thatI wanted the rose plug in to
light up this one lights up inthat way because the red is just
very it's very illuminated itlooks classy it looks expensive
and it's got the thing that welove about wallflowers of like
first time you look at it you'relike oh but there's more to see
(27:55):
each time yeah which I did
Caroline Aimetti (27:57):
not catch the
first time I saw it in the store
at all
Conor Perkins (27:59):
yeah like I did
not catch the detail that at the
top of the dagger of the hiltof the dagger is her crown like
that's super duper cool to me
Caroline Aimetti (28:06):
yeah and then
we've got Maleficent which is
like it's a it's a wind I thinkwhat it's supposed to be is like
a stained glass windowbasically that's all green but
around it it looks like her sowe've got her horns on top
Conor Perkins (28:18):
we've
Caroline Aimetti (28:18):
got her We've
got wings on the side and two of
her staff is what it looks liketo me.
And then there's a raven in themiddle kind of perched on a
thorned branch and three purpleflowers at the bottom.
Conor Perkins (28:31):
And like the
stained glass window is kind of
like dragon scaled.
Caroline Aimetti (28:34):
Yes, it is.
And like for me, it'sinteresting because this is such
a great Halloween vibe that I'mlike, I would buy this and I
would know when I would put itout.
It's clear.
That feels a little bit lessclear to me.
I love that Evil Queen one.
but I'm like when do I itdoesn't read I know it's
Halloween-y because I know whatit is but it doesn't read
Halloween to me and the heart isalso featured like the
(28:59):
basically the exact copy of thatis used in a candle pedestal
which we'll talk about later butI just don't like this feels a
little bit mishmash-y to me
Conor Perkins (29:07):
yeah this feels
kind of I think Maleficent has
the trouble with Maleficent isthere's so much like iconography
yeah there's so muchiconography that is associated
with Maleficent that you're likehow do I choose how do I
streamline it how do we includeit all and I think like that's
kind of the thing that washappening with the like Raven
(29:29):
wing in in the design where itfeels like they were just like
well we can kind of have it alland this wallflower feels like
it kind of has it all to thepoint of maybe being too much
Caroline Aimetti (29:41):
yeah because
like the flowers I know I could
have done away with the flowersbut I don't know what they're
really doing there and like
Conor Perkins (29:47):
like I almost
could have made Make the thorns
purple and get rid of theflowers.
Caroline Aimetti (29:51):
And I was
like, oh, what would I have
liked to see instead?
And it's difficult because whatI was thinking of is something
that's featured in like theshadow box candle pedestal
later.
But I'm like, oh, we could havejust had Maleficent's
silhouette because hersilhouette
Conor Perkins (30:05):
is so iconic.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Or that too.
Caroline Aimetti (30:08):
But yeah.
Conor Perkins (30:10):
Or honestly, if
they wanted to go, if they
wanted to keep going with likethe dagger heart piercing thing,
like they could have made this
Caroline Aimetti (30:17):
spinning
Conor Perkins (30:18):
wheel.
Maleficent's staff.
Caroline Aimetti (30:20):
Staff.
Conor Perkins (30:20):
They have the
staff in there, but they could
have just like take that momentand zoom that out.
The staff lights up and maybelike inside the ball of the orb
of the staff is like a dragonsilhouette or something like
that.
Caroline Aimetti (30:33):
Right.
Or like, yeah, I mean, again,we can't pick too much
iconography.
Or spinning wheel.
Yeah, but the spinning wheel.
I don't want to, again, we'rejust criticizing them for
throwing in too many images, butthe spinning wheel isn't really
anywhere here.
Or even just like Maleficent'smagic and those flames are
stunning and like if we're gonnaplay with shooting light from
behind something I mean therewas just so much there we could
(30:54):
have done with her green flamemagic
Conor Perkins (30:58):
yeah like I think
I think it probably would have
behooved them to kind of takethe orb of her staff and make
that the thing that lights upmake that bigger and make that
the thing like you're doing aclose-up shot on that and then
put something inside the orblike it's almost like a divining
thing like in the way that shesort of conjures in the scene
(31:20):
with when she curses the babylike right
Caroline Aimetti (31:25):
out of the
Conor Perkins (31:25):
gate where she
like puts her hand over top of
the orb and like we go into it
Caroline Aimetti (31:29):
yes
Conor Perkins (31:29):
we could have
done something there too yeah
Caroline Aimetti (31:32):
like what if
we even had something that's
like those things they do atBath and Body sometimes that are
like filled with like glittergel
Conor Perkins (31:38):
yeah they could
have put some glitter gel in it
too
Caroline Aimetti (31:40):
actually yeah
that's a little something that's
missing from this collection Iwant some glitter gel
Conor Perkins (31:44):
swirling mist
moment you love your swirlies
you love your swirlies
Caroline Aimetti (31:48):
I do.
Conor Perkins (31:48):
Because you were
the big defender of the Ariel
pocketbac holder.
And I was like, what's wrong
Caroline Aimetti (31:53):
with you?
Yes.
And also, like you said, we gointo the orb.
We've got Maleficent's stafforb.
And we also have the evil queenmaking potions.
Like this was ripe for someglittery swirls, some misty.
Conor Perkins (32:05):
Yeah, that's
true.
That's true.
But
Caroline Aimetti (32:08):
the winner,
just objectively, like now
trying to put it in the contextof Halloween and what I would do
with it is the heart for me.
Conor Perkins (32:15):
Yeah.
Because also, I think out ofthis, with this design which it
does appear again in the thepedestals the candle holders
later which we'll get to I dothink this is the stronger
design because I don't think thecandle pedestal has the detail
of the like melty poison skullinside the jewel which I think
(32:37):
is such a cool so
Caroline Aimetti (32:38):
damn cool
Conor Perkins (32:39):
it's just such a
nice extra touch like well
Caroline Aimetti (32:42):
done yeah
Conor Perkins (32:43):
that's that's the
thing that we love where it's
like you just look a little bitcloser
Caroline Aimetti (32:46):
yeah and that
effect also Also does push it a
little bit more into feelingHalloween-y to me as well.
Yes, yes, I agree.
So definitely major points forthat.
Pocketbac holders.
Let's talk about pocketbacholders.
So for the Evil Queen, we'vegot the poison apple and the
poison on it glows in the dark.
And we've got the sanitizersort of coming out of the
(33:09):
bottom.
And then we've got a repeat, ifany of you were lucky enough to
have the bell magic.
mirror holder from the DisneyPrincess Collection.
This is very reminiscent ofthat, but it's got a black frame
around the magic mirror.
It's got a little red appleinsignia at the bottom.
And then when you press thebutton to turn it on, the magic
(33:33):
mirror himself appears.
Stunning.
And then we've got ourMaleficent one.
So it's interesting that theEvil Queen got two, Maleficent
got one.
This is, oh, this one got me.
So we've got, it's basedMaleficent's head in an abstract
way so we've got her horns andthen the green of where her face
(33:54):
would be is just rows of greenrhinestones
Conor Perkins (33:58):
yeah it's like
bedazzled they call this like
the bedazzled one
Caroline Aimetti (34:01):
yes and
apparently this one glows in the
dark too but I don't think it'sobviously is
Conor Perkins (34:05):
the poison apple
one no I couldn't really see it
Caroline Aimetti (34:07):
this one
almost came home with me
Conor Perkins (34:10):
fair
Caroline Aimetti (34:10):
I was close
because it's also just like for
me I love that there's stuff inthis that's like referential to
the character but I almost Ialways love having, it's my same
thing with loungefly backpacks.
I like having the characterthemselves on the thing that I
buy.
And so like I could put this onmy bag and everyone would know,
oh my God, it's Maleficent.
Love that.
I saw one of the employees atthe store.
(34:32):
She had it hooked onto herapron.
It looked so damn cool.
Conor Perkins (34:35):
Interesting.
I think for me, if we're doingone, two, three for these, I
think the Maleficent one isactually my third place one.
Wow.
I just, I really, I love thehorns, but I just don't get
these rhinestone thing.
I'm like, what is that?
What is that?
Oh
Caroline Aimetti (34:55):
my God.
It's for, it's for style.
Conor Perkins (34:58):
No, it just
feels, it just, honestly, it
just feels like kind of cheap tome.
No,
Caroline Aimetti (35:03):
it makes it
less literal.
I, I love it.
Oh
Conor Perkins (35:06):
my God.
No, I would rather just like, Iwould rather it just be the
horns to be honest.
Caroline Aimetti (35:10):
No, you need
the green and you would let the
pocketbac be the green.
That's kind of strange becauseit has like the label on it.
You need just straight green.
I
Conor Perkins (35:17):
don't know.
Abstract.
I don't know.
Caroline Aimetti (35:19):
Okay, what's
number two?
Conor Perkins (35:20):
Number two for me
is the mirror, the magic
mirror, because I'm like, it'sjust, I think it's super duper
cool to have something that'sfunctional as a mirror as well
and then also be the magicmirror.
The reason why it's number twois I just don't super duper love
the little apple at the bottom.
(35:40):
Like it just kind of feels alittle, I don't know, it just
feels like a little whatever.
And then my number one is thepoison apple.
because the glow from The Glowin the Dark looks really, really
cool.
It's cool.
You don't have to really worryabout like batteries or it's not
super chunky.
It tells you what it is.
It gives you the idea of thecharacter without necessarily
(36:02):
being like super duper overt oflike you look at that and it's
like, oh, I know what that is.
That's a poison apple.
Got it.
Caroline Aimetti (36:12):
Okay.
Yeah.
I respect
Conor Perkins (36:13):
that.
I just feel like it's the rightthing.
It's in good shape.
It's not going to be likepoking you in your pocket or
like anything like that like itjust it feels like out of these
three that's the one that'sgonna last and I want that's
Caroline Aimetti (36:26):
real that's
real
Conor Perkins (36:28):
and I love the
glow-in-the-dark effect the
glow-in-the-dark effect beforethis was not very high on my
list and then once I saw how itglows in the dark I was like oh
Caroline Aimetti (36:39):
yeah
Conor Perkins (36:40):
that's my number
one because that's sick
Caroline Aimetti (36:42):
yeah okay
Conor Perkins (36:43):
what's your
ranking
Caroline Aimetti (36:46):
number three
is the mirror for me only
because I gotta take points offbecause it's like repeating an
idea of course we had to it's amirror we could not do it so
like I say that lightly like
Conor Perkins (36:56):
I understand why
the evil queen got two pocket
bags because it's like mirrorthe technology was already there
we had already done this it wasan easy transfer so it's like
okay gotcha
Caroline Aimetti (37:08):
from owning
the bell one which I love and
I'm so grateful for it's verybulky every time I put it on a
bag I'm like it's in the wayit's gonna break so kind of
points off for the bulkinessfactor of that as well number
two is the poison apple for me Ireally love it at first I kind
of I considered briefly makingit number three because it felt
a little bit simplistic to mebut then you talking about I'm
(37:31):
like yeah but that is also whatI enjoy about it is that you put
it on something and it'sobvious what that is and I think
we we learned this a little bitfrom the princess collection as
well like that's what I'minterested in like I if I'm
gonna have this small itemhanging on my bag I want people
to know what it is and thennumber number one is this
Maleficent for me
Conor Perkins (37:48):
yeah
Caroline Aimetti (37:49):
I'm telling
you I was carrying her around
the store and then I was justlike I'm getting a little I'm
getting a little off track herelike I gotta calm down you know
I have I have a certain couponsfor things like this isn't gonna
qualify like relax I thought Iwas just getting a little bit
desperate because I got therethe day that it launched and I
was like don't grab everythinglike it's okay yeah I just like
(38:12):
this is something that I that isfor me it strikes the perfect
balance between like someoneknows what that is which was
happening in the poison applebut that abstract I love I'm
just a sucker I like this inDisney merch in general like I'm
into color blocking I'm intosilhouettes I'm into like that
abstract her face isn't on it Ilove that
Conor Perkins (38:32):
it's just this
sort of like beaded rhinestone
thing I
Caroline Aimetti (38:36):
love
Conor Perkins (38:36):
the way that it
comes down it makes it because
of the there's movement in thistoo that's
Caroline Aimetti (38:40):
what I love it
there's movement in this
because it's a it's a curtainit's a curtain of these
rhinestones and so it gives itso much movement I love it.
I love it.
Conor Perkins (38:50):
Okay.
Caroline Aimetti (38:50):
Now I kind of
want it.
And it's great for a Halloween.
And it's great for the, I can, like this belongs in the parks.
This belongs on my parks bag.
Done.
Conor Perkins (38:59):
See, it's just
sort of like when you look at it
carefully and you look at theangle of the bead curtain coming
down.
Caroline Aimetti (39:07):
That's like
her chin at the
Conor Perkins (39:09):
bottom.
Right, right.
Like that's her chin.
But then when you put thepocketbac behind it, it muddies
that image.
And so then it makes it sort offeel like
Caroline Aimetti (39:16):
No it doesn't.
Conor Perkins (39:17):
To me.
Caroline Aimetti (39:18):
It doesn't.
And you know what's a bonusabout this?
Is actually, obviously, when Ipicked it up in the store, is it
didn't have the sanitizer init.
Obviously, you have to buy thatseparately.
And I would use it without it.
Conor Perkins (39:29):
Without it.
Yeah.
I mean, I would say the samething.
I would use the poison appleone without it.
Caroline Aimetti (39:35):
I feel like
that belongs in Halloween versus
like Maleficent is evergreen inso many ways.
Conor Perkins (39:41):
Okay.
We're going to move on fromthis because I don't think we're
going to agree on that.
We won't.
Let's talk candle holders.
So we've got four candleholders so each we have been
blessed so this is the first onethis is the the heart dagger
pedestal it is ornate so it is agold pedestal you've got the
(40:04):
hilt of the dagger supportingthe the pedestal at the top of
the candle sits on plunging intothe jeweled heart and then it's
supported at the base with likegold filigree ornate stuff the
the jeweled heart itself is sortof outlined with rhinestones
the dagger itself is like adifferent it's it's like silver
(40:25):
as opposed to the golds ofeverything it looks expensive
Caroline Aimetti (40:29):
yeah it sure
does
Conor Perkins (40:31):
it it just it
looks
Caroline Aimetti (40:33):
giving like
Romeo and Juliet to me
Conor Perkins (40:35):
very you know you
could definitely
Caroline Aimetti (40:37):
use this like
you could put this out around
Valentine's Day as well
Conor Perkins (40:41):
yeah I mean I
don't know what it would
necessarily say about your loveI
Caroline Aimetti (40:44):
know it's like
tragic love dramatic Yeah,
Conor Perkins (40:48):
I'm into it.
The one thing that, again, Ihad mentioned before that this
one is lacking is that sort ofextra detail that we saw in the
wallflower of inside the heartseeing the poison.
Caroline Aimetti (41:01):
Yeah, and
that's why from far away, like
it could read very Valentine'sDay for that
Conor Perkins (41:04):
reason.
True, true.
The second one we have, this issuper duper cool.
This is the hag's hand.
So the base of it is sort oflike a swirling textile of her
black cloak.
And then you have this sort oflike ghostly white hand holding
a shiny red apple with the greenskull poison dripping down.
(41:27):
And then there's sort of like asilver platter that sits at the
top to support the candle offthe pedestal.
Yeah.
For the Maleficent shadow boxone, this is cool because this
one lights up.
So
Caroline Aimetti (41:41):
bonus
Conor Perkins (41:42):
point.
There's a lot of detail on thisone.
So it's sort of like thisiridescent green purple metal
color.
The sides of it are like wallsof thorns.
And then the front, you've gotstone steps leading up.
You've got two green orbs verysimilar to the style of her
staff.
(42:02):
There's this bat that's sort oflike arching over this sort of
like gothic window with like aportcullis starting and then at
the bottom you've got like greenflames coming up from the base
Caroline Aimetti (42:15):
flames
Conor Perkins (42:16):
and then as you
look inside you get the
silhouette of Maleficentstanding there with her staff in
like a dark purple and thenfurther back you've got the
silhouette of her in her dragonform which is like a light
purple and then behind thatyou've got sort of like a drag
(42:36):
in scale texture that sort offills out the window and it
lights up and so you can see allof the greens and the different
shades of purple and it'sactually one that like when I
saw it in the store I was kindof like same and then once I saw
it lit up I was like oh shitthis looks really really good
and then the last one that wehave is another Maleficent
(43:01):
pedestal and this is theforbidden mountain this is her
fortress on the forbidden So thebase of it is like, this thing
is heavy.
is Maleficent in dragon form, like, climbing the rocks and,
(43:42):
like, protecting it like it'sher dragon keep.
Caroline Aimetti (43:45):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (43:46):
It's sick.
It's, like,
Caroline Aimetti (43:48):
so Game of
Thrones.
Conor Perkins (43:50):
Like, it's legit.
It's very cool.
They've done a lot of thesesort of, like, castle-y, these,
like, bigger candle pedestals.
Like, they did one for thePrincess Collection that was,
like, a fairytale castle.
They did, like, a big hauntedcastle.
Haunted House last year, Ibelieve.
(44:11):
Yes.
This one just kind of, I'm like,I don't really have any notes
on this one.
That's gorge.
So here's all four of them alllined up for you.
Okay.
Caroline Aimetti (44:24):
This is tough.
These are really, really good.
Conor Perkins (44:26):
They're all
really, really good.
All
Caroline Aimetti (44:30):
right.
Let me try to work my waythrough this.
I'm going to rank the heart,Evil Queen heart number four.
I prefer it in its wallflowerplug-in form.
Like I said, this is missingthat poison element.
So it's from far away.
Like if you don't really seethe sword, it's just, yeah, it's
just very Valentine's Day.
(44:52):
It's very beautiful, but thevibe is not quite it for me even
though in the store I couldn'ttake my eyes off of it but like
compared to the it's justbecause that red really grabs
your attention but in thislineup I think that's it the top
three for me could kind of goany way I think see at first
(45:13):
when you were going through themI was like this poison apple
one is it for me I am obsessedwith the ones that are a hand
holding the thing obsessed Ibought one of those didn't I I
have so much I have so muchstuff from the store I think I
bought one for a single wick oneHalloween that's like a
skeleton hand holding it and Iam obsessed with it it's such a
fun idea the only reason I'mbumping it down a little is
(45:36):
because there's something morethat I want from the hand and
the cloak
Conor Perkins (45:42):
I think right
Right now, we're on the same
page where I think for me, thedagger is number four for the
same reasons.
And I think this one is numberthree for me as well.
The hag hand.
I love the hag hand.
Honestly, I love all of these.
I think all of these are someof the best pedestals that they
have done in a very, very longtime.
The hag pedestal, I think whatI don't necessarily love about
(46:04):
it is like some of the otherlike hand supportive ones, the
candle itself goes like in thehand.
where like the pedestal forthis one is resting on top of
the apple.
It sort of muddies theillusion.
I could have been down withthis
Caroline Aimetti (46:22):
one being a
single wick holder where it goes
in the apple almost if we couldmake that happen.
Conor Perkins (46:28):
Yeah.
No, no, no.
I fully agree.
Like if the apple, if the applelike the top was cut, was open
and like you slide the thinginside.
Yeah.
No, no, no.
That's how I would have doneit.
Caroline Aimetti (46:39):
The only
reason I was torn here is
because I'm thinking about likeif this was out in someone's
home my eye would immediately goto it I'd be like holy crap
that's so cool whereas theMaleficent one number one if
it's not lit up my eye wouldn'treally go to it and even when it
is lit up I love it like I'mobsessed with Maleficent being
(47:00):
in front of the dragon like allof it all of it all of it so
good I love the green heavygreenness of it but it's very
busy so like from a distance thepoison apples got more impact
but But yeah, there's justsomething about the hand and the
cloak that I feel like could bericher looking.
Conor Perkins (47:17):
Yeah, it does
feel– I think they've done that
to try and put all of theattention on the red and the
green of the apple.
Because the apple is likemetallic.
It's very shiny.
But I also feel like if theapple is already metallic and
shiny, like you can afford to–like you don't have to
desaturate everything else.
Yeah,
Caroline Aimetti (47:35):
I
Conor Perkins (47:35):
agree.
They can make the hand look alittle bit more realistic.
Like a
Caroline Aimetti (47:38):
real hand.
Right, because it's not askeleton.
That's the thing.
No, no, no.
This is skeleton white rightnow.
It doesn't look like the actualhag's hand from the movie.
Conor Perkins (47:47):
Yeah, like her
hand is pale, but it ain't that
pale.
Caroline Aimetti (47:50):
Not like that.
Yeah, she's not a skeleton yet.
Conor Perkins (47:53):
Also pale.
Caroline Aimetti (47:55):
But yes, so
hard to decide, but I think this
shadow box is number two forme.
I
Conor Perkins (48:00):
think I'm the
same.
Caroline Aimetti (48:02):
Yeah, and then
number one is just this damn
fortress on the mountain and thedragon climbing around it.
The dragon looks perfect.
It's perfect.
Conor Perkins (48:12):
It's perfect.
And this is
Caroline Aimetti (48:14):
the kind of
like detailed, heavy, rich thing
that I feel like Disney fansare looking for when we want to
buy this stuff.
Conor Perkins (48:21):
This is beyond
just like a candle holder.
This is a sculpture.
Caroline Aimetti (48:26):
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (48:27):
Like if you
didn't put a candle in here, you
don't need to.
This can just be like, ifyou're a Maleficent fan, this is
just like a sculpture that youcould have.
Caroline Aimetti (48:35):
I agree.
And then the added thing of thecandle being in there and like
seeming like flames are comingout of the castle.
Like, yeah.
Yeah.
Body care trays.
So we have two body care traysfrom the Disney Princess
Collection.
If you remember, we had onebody care tray and those flew
off the shelves.
Apparently, I watched somebodyin my store take the last one.
(48:55):
So now we've got two in thiscollection.
First up from the Evil Queen.
It is gold, obviously.
That's her accent color of thiscollection.
The bottom of it looks verymuch like the heart box from the
film.
So we've got that again, thatruby red heart in the front.
with the dagger through it andit's got green gems on the top
(49:15):
of that little dagger.
And the mirror part of it isthe magic mirror.
Conor Perkins (49:23):
I mean,
Caroline Aimetti (49:24):
come
Conor Perkins (49:24):
on.
Which I believe this is alsoone that is like it appears,
like it illuminates within themirror.
Yes, this one
Caroline Aimetti (49:30):
lights up and
the Maleficent one does not.
So the Maleficent one, the traypart of this is more circular,
whereas again, the Evil Queenone was like that square heart
box.
This is circular.
the bottom part of it iscovered in those iridescent
greenish purplish ombre dragonscales which do look really
fantastic here
Conor Perkins (49:50):
they do
Caroline Aimetti (49:50):
and then the
mirror is actually floating
within the shape of Maleficent'slike you know head sort of so
it's like there's a black it'sfloating in the middle yeah you
can turn it it's floating withinthat and we've got two smaller
Maleficent dragon horns on thetop and like connecting the
mirror to the base there's likethis little green gem happening.
Conor Perkins (50:15):
It's very
interesting because I feel like
for me, the one that fits mystyle or the one that I'm like,
ooh, this feel, I love the sortof like sleek minimalism of the
Maleficent one and the floatingmirror and everything, the
color, it's more subdued andeverything.
It's
Caroline Aimetti (50:33):
a little bit
more sophisticated.
Conor Perkins (50:35):
But come on, this
heart box to hold your trinkets
and then you've got the magicmirror and actually this one
does kind of look like themirror itself floats
Caroline Aimetti (50:44):
much better
yeah and I'm like I wonder I'm
probably asking too much fromthis when we have this bigger
one I do I'm like the way thatthe face appears in there does
look a little cheap like itlooks like a little bit like a
kid's toy so
Conor Perkins (50:59):
there's
Caroline Aimetti (51:00):
points out for
me for that because I'm like
this would be more like decorfor me for Halloween where I'm
like oh I have the magic mirrorfrom Snow White versus I'm gonna
have this in my room to put mythings in it feels a little
childish to me
Conor Perkins (51:13):
sure but then I
would say you don't have to
light up the magic mirror's facelike honestly if this if the
magic mirror's face was not litup
Caroline Aimetti (51:21):
that's very
nice
Conor Perkins (51:22):
I think it's a
really really cool thing
especially if you are a SnowWhite fan an Evil Queen fan
because like if you look at someof the detail around the yeah
it's
Caroline Aimetti (51:29):
like burnished
in places
Conor Perkins (51:31):
and there's
there's like snakes that are
yeah
Caroline Aimetti (51:35):
it's not cheap
looking fake gold it's
Conor Perkins (51:38):
very nice no no
no like it it looks it looks
like classy and like it feelsalmost like this one feels
almost like you own a piece ofthe Evil Queen's things
Caroline Aimetti (51:51):
yeah
Conor Perkins (51:51):
whereas the
Maleficent one definitely feels
like inspired by her yeahthey're two very
Caroline Aimetti (51:55):
different
approaches to it yeah and I
that's why I do appreciate thatlike the horns are not like to
scale they would be as theywould be on her like they're
smaller
Conor Perkins (52:05):
can you imagine
gigantic horns yeah
Caroline Aimetti (52:07):
so you can
look at your face in the mirror
and look like you're wearing herhorns honestly that would be
kind of fun but yeah no I reallyenjoy the floating aspect of
this too but actually I wouldhave preferred that the dragon
scales be smaller and subtler onthis
Conor Perkins (52:22):
I almost could
have done a different texture
than dragon scales like I knowthe dragon scales have been part
of the collection but like Ialmost wonder like what if it
was what if this was blackfeathers
Caroline Aimetti (52:34):
I like that
Conor Perkins (52:35):
or what if this
was like textile like her robe
sort of thing it had sort ofbecause her robe Her robes are
very cool because they're black, but they have sort of like a
purple pinky lining to them.
I kind of wish that like maybethe base of this was that black
purple pink color.
So that it was more of
Caroline Aimetti (52:53):
a color
blocking of the character
Conor Perkins (52:55):
herself.
Because then this would belike, because then that green
jewel feels like.
This is Maleficent in mirrorform.
Exactly.
So I think for me, theMaleficent one is number two and
the Evil Queen one is numberone for me.
Caroline Aimetti (53:08):
Yeah, for me
too.
Conor Perkins (53:09):
But ever so
slightly to be honest.
Yeah, same.
I think the Maleficent one isreally, really solid.
And I enjoy the simplicity ofit.
I
Caroline Aimetti (53:17):
agree with
you.
I'm in agreeance.
Conor Perkins (53:19):
Look at us.
Who are we?
Getting along.
What is this?
Caroline Aimetti (53:24):
It was dicey
there for a minute at the
beginning, but we're gellingnow.
Conor Perkins (53:27):
We're gelling.
We're gelling.
We've gelled.
Okay.
So now we have cosmetic bags.
So first off, we've got theEvil Queen.
This is this like purple.
Caroline Aimetti (53:38):
I am obsessed.
Conor Perkins (53:40):
It's a purple and
gold pattern it's giving Dooney
and Burke very much of the sortof like pattern
Caroline Aimetti (53:49):
you've
Conor Perkins (53:49):
got a couple
icons in it so you've got a
silhouette of the castle you'vegot a silhouette of the magic
mirror you've got a silhouetteof the poison apple and you've
got a silhouette of the heartbox that are in these like
diamonds and then you also havethe evil queen's face herself
yeah it's interesting to see
Caroline Aimetti (54:07):
her actual
face on this yeah
Conor Perkins (54:10):
yes but then
what's super It's kind of
rectangular in shape and thezipper goes up on a diagonal
around the sides across the topand then down the diagonal on
the other side.
And then we have the Maleficentone.
This is very different becausethis one is not opaque.
(54:34):
It's transparent.
So you've got this sort of likeiridescent blue kind of like
volume.
almost that has the thornscoming in from the edges and
then you've got Maleficent inher epic like staff up to the
sky yes that pose swinging poseand then behind it on the inside
(54:56):
layer you've got you've gotlike the shiny iridescent dragon
scales the whole thing is blackon the outside and there's like
a little keychain moment oflike the back of it is actually
Caroline Aimetti (55:08):
dragon scale
as well which I appreciate
Conor Perkins (55:11):
yes But the
difference between these two is
definitely one is like fullyenclosed.
You can't see what's in it.
The other one, it's a vinyl sothat you can see what's inside.
Caroline Aimetti (55:24):
When I first
saw the Evil Queen one, I
thought it was going to be ageneric Disney villain
collection bag because it's justlike that feels like the vibes
to me.
At first, I saw her on there, but I thought we were going to
have other villains.
But I guess that wouldn't havemade a ton of sense.
Even though I'm not a big fanof having my– like little like,
you know, cosmetic bags besee-through.
(55:44):
I will say after I went to thestore and I was showing my mom
like all the footage I took, when she saw that, she went,
ooh.
And I think this one is alittle, it's just a little bit
more unique.
I think it's got a little bitmore wow factor than the other
one.
But I was, again, picked up, Ipicked up the Evil Queen one
(56:06):
several times because Iappreciated how big it was.
They're both pretty big
Conor Perkins (56:10):
though, I have to
say.
They're both quite small.
Yeah,
Caroline Aimetti (56:13):
I was more
drawn to the Evil Queen one for
me, but I'm really into theuniqueness and this like
iridescent rainbow-y effect thathappens on the Maleficent one.
It's cool.
Conor Perkins (56:26):
Yeah, I think I
have a lot of respect for the
Maleficent one, but that is mynumber two because at the end of
the day, I just keep thinking, this looks beautiful.
What happens when you put allyour shit in it?
Caroline Aimetti (56:38):
It's true.
Conor Perkins (56:40):
You do
Caroline Aimetti (56:40):
have the
dragon skin.
You've got the dragon scales
Conor Perkins (56:42):
on the other
side.
You've got the dragon scales onthe other side.
We do lose that silhouetteeffect.
But I'm like, are we going tolose the silhouette?
Like the thing that is so wow-yabout it, I'm like, am I going
to lose as soon as I put all ofmy products in it?
Whereas the purple and theopaqueness of the Evil Queen
(57:03):
one, I'm like, the design isforever.
And you can shove a bunch ofyour shit in and you don't have
to worry that people are goingto see what's in there or that
it has to look nice.
That's true.
You can just kind of like putyour stuff in and go.
Caroline Aimetti (57:16):
Yeah, that's
true.
Conor Perkins (57:17):
So I think number
one for me is Evil Queen.
You've
Caroline Aimetti (57:19):
swayed me.
You've swayed me because I dofeel like the effect that I love
of this so much will be changedonce I put my stuff in it.
But I love the black, for lackof a better phrase, hot topic
vibes of this, you know?
Conor Perkins (57:33):
No, I fully
agree.
I love that.
I do.
I think the style is super cooland I love the pose that
Maleficent is in yeah it's likeit's so cool and powerful I like
that it's asymmetrical thatshe's off to the side I like the
thorns coming in it's just socool but I'm worried that you're
(57:56):
gonna lose it once you startusing it functionally which I'm
like
Caroline Aimetti (57:59):
fine yeah
Conor Perkins (58:00):
it'll be one
thing to just have it on your
shelf the one I want on my shelfis probably the Maleficent one
that looks cooler on the shelf
Caroline Aimetti (58:06):
yeah I agree
Conor Perkins (58:07):
which one will I
want like to actually use the
way that it's intended and EvilQueen one
Caroline Aimetti (58:13):
it's an
interesting choice as well to
have the Evil Queen's face onthis because this is the only
face in both the villain andprincess collections we don't
ever get faces of the charactersand so it's an interesting
choice but yes I was drawn tothis way more in the store so I
can get down with this but justI just want to put on the record
that it was very very difficultto decide and like I have to
(58:35):
say thank you Bath and BodyWorks for these like bag
category type things because Myfavorite thing from the Disney
princess collection is my bellwallet.
I am obsessed with my bellwallet.
It is amazing.
And that's like so outside ofthe realm of like what Bath and
Body Works used to do.
And I got to give them credit.
Those are just a great call.
(58:56):
It's a great call.
Conor Perkins (58:57):
The other thing
from that princess collection
was that gold like bag with allof the symbols of the different
Disney princesses.
And then the pattern lininginside that bag.
It was a well-made bag.
Caroline Aimetti (59:10):
It was.
Conor Perkins (59:11):
And that's what
I'll say about both of these
bags.
Like having picked them up andlooked at them, I'm like,
they're good quality.
They're going to hold.
Caroline Aimetti (59:19):
The bags, the
wallets, the coin purses, like
props to whoever thought toinclude that.
They're really, really good.
Conor Perkins (59:26):
All right.
Now we get to do soapdispensers.
So we got two soap dispensers.
The first one is the poisonapple soap dispenser.
So it is a red metallic applewithin the green, which is not
as as shiny it's more glossythan like metallic and that the
(59:46):
the soap dispenser like the thepush handle thing itself is the
same color green so it almostfeels like that green is
starting at the pump and thendripping down over top in the
shape of the skull and thenwe've got for Maleficent we have
Diablo the Raven so the base ofthis is sort of like a metallic
(01:00:09):
shiny it's it's her it's herstaff it's her orb so it's the
it's got the sort of like thething that holds the orb in
place on her staff and then thegreen orb itself and then Diablo
is perched on it looking outand the pump itself is black so
(01:00:30):
it sort of like goes into Diablothere is a clear
Caroline Aimetti (01:00:36):
clear winner
look at this pump puppy.
Conor Perkins (01:00:41):
The Diablo soap
dispenser.
I mean, look
Caroline Aimetti (01:00:44):
at how big it
is.
It's the size of my head.
There he is on a gold base.
I mean.
And
Conor Perkins (01:00:53):
the thing that I
actually really kind of respect
about this is it's not one ofthose soap holders where you
slide, where it's sort of likewhere you slide the soap into
it.
This one, you fill it up.
So you empty your thing insideof it.
You get the refills or whateverit's not like because sometimes
(01:01:13):
they'll do the ones where it'slike it's a soap holder and it's
kind of got that sort of likeparallelogram thing and you just
sort of like insert it theparallelogram
Caroline Aimetti (01:01:21):
oh my god yes
Conor Perkins (01:01:23):
which I think is
goes really really well with
these because it just means thatyou can just get the detail
that much better with this itcan just be
Caroline Aimetti (01:01:32):
literally him
Conor Perkins (01:01:33):
on the orb it's
literally Diablo the Raven
Caroline Aimetti (01:01:35):
like you could
stick this on top of a staff
and you're Maleficent
Conor Perkins (01:01:39):
honestly you
could also take off the pump of
both of these.
Caroline Aimetti (01:01:44):
And just like
sit
Conor Perkins (01:01:45):
it on a shelf.
And just sit it on a shelf asdecoration.
Oh my God, here, allow
Caroline Aimetti (01:01:48):
me.
Conor Perkins (01:01:49):
Like you would
have a little sculpture of
Diablo.
It works.
Caroline Aimetti (01:01:52):
I'm obsessed.
Conor Perkins (01:01:53):
And same thing
with the poison apple too.
Like if you were to unscrew thegreen pump, just like put it on
the top of a shelf.
It's like a little poison appledecoration.
I think both of theseabsolutely slay.
But come on.
You've got Diablo.
Caroline Aimetti (01:02:10):
I had to have
him.
And I also have to say, I sawhim and I was like, there was
actually like two left.
And I was like, I have to havehim, but I know that he's going
to be a little bit tooexpensive.
Listen, is the whole collectionexpensive?
Conor Perkins (01:02:25):
The whole
collection is expensive.
But by that scale,
Caroline Aimetti (01:02:28):
this was $30
and I expected it to be more.
Oh,
Conor Perkins (01:02:32):
all right.
I was expecting that to be moretoo.
I
Caroline Aimetti (01:02:35):
expected this
was going to be, I was like 40,
45.
Conor Perkins (01:02:38):
Yeah, I was
expecting that too.
It was 30.
Caroline Aimetti (01:02:40):
I mean, which,
some people will be listening
and like, are you insane?
Conor Perkins (01:02:44):
But it's well
made and it's going to last.
Caroline Aimetti (01:02:47):
And this
scratches that itch for me that
we were talking about earlier oflike, is this collection for
Halloween?
This is Halloween.
If you don't know what this is,it's just a Halloween raven.
And if you know, it's like, ohmy God,
Conor Perkins (01:02:59):
it's
Caroline Aimetti (01:02:59):
Diablo on the
top of the staff.
Conor Perkins (01:03:01):
They kind of like
both are that way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But like, I think Diablo has alittle bit more, subtlety I
think to him but also I'm likeit's a minion like both of these
make you feel like the villain.
You are the villain.
That's what you want.
That's what you're
Caroline Aimetti (01:03:21):
doing when you
put the body spray on right?
Like that's what you want tofeel like.
You want to feel like you'rethem.
Yeah
Conor Perkins (01:03:27):
you want to
channel your inner villain and I
do think while both of themenable you to do that because
like Evil Queen like she's likeI just think like having my pet
like come
Caroline Aimetti (01:03:39):
on.
I mean I want to use this andI'm going to but like I also
want to put him on my shelf overhere too.
He's
Conor Perkins (01:03:44):
stunning.
Which you can do.
Like that's the thing.
Use him for the Halloweenseason and then when you're done
put him on the shelf.
Put him on the shelf.
It's a collector's item.
These truly both I think arecollector's items.
Like they could truly be shelfdecorations.
I think they're that good.
They're phenomenal.
Caroline Aimetti (01:04:00):
Phenomenal.
Conor Perkins (01:04:02):
Okay.
So that's all of the littlebits and bobs of the collection
that we were going to rank andreview.
I think ultimately for me wherethings kind of have shaken out
I've come down pretty prettyhard like an evil queen stan in
this collection like if I had tochoose the majority of one
(01:04:24):
collection over the other Ithink I'm an evil queen girly
more than a Maleficent girly butI do have to say personally my
like product of the line, likeof the collection is the Diablo
soap dispenser.
I think that's the single bestthing in the whole thing.
I
Caroline Aimetti (01:04:43):
think I agree
with you.
Part of me just wants to belike, you're Evil Queen, I'm
Maleficent.
Conor Perkins (01:04:49):
I know.
Which honestly- And I'm not
Caroline Aimetti (01:04:52):
far from being
convinced that that is the
case.
Conor Perkins (01:04:55):
That was kind of
the initial reaction because I
remember getting a text from youwhen you went that you were
like, I smelled Evil Queen and Ihate it.
And I love the Maleficent one.
And then I was like, I'm atBath and Body Works right now.
I'm like, I smell the EvilQueen one.
And I fell in love with it.
And I hate Maleficent.
Caroline Aimetti (01:05:11):
And it's so
funny.
This is so reminiscent.
When I smell the Evil Queen, itis so reminiscent of my
experience of smelling Belle andTiana, which I, at first in the
Princess Collection, kind ofwas like, these are too heavy.
And then I burned them and Iloved them.
I think that's what's happeningto me with Evil Queen.
But the funny thing about thiscampaign overall, because they
only have the two.
(01:05:31):
I mean, they did this with theDisney Princesses.
as well but they very theyleaned very heavily in this
campaign of like are you an evilqueen or are you a Maleficent
like which one are you sohonestly just to keep this fun
for the sake of this I'm gonnago Maleficent because honestly
when I think about it yes myfavorite item is the soap and I
cannot lose like that thatcandle pedestal either
Conor Perkins (01:05:53):
that's true
that's true and I
Caroline Aimetti (01:05:55):
really and I
am a I am a Moonlight Graveyard
girl till the end and this islike in that Zen family so I'm
very comfortable and I'm tellingyou there's a rose thing in
there and I love anything rosescented so like I can feel I can
feel comfortable going overalloverall Maleficent even though
as a character I think we'rereversed I think character love
(01:06:18):
wise you might be more of aMaleficent stan I may be more of
an evil queen but like
Conor Perkins (01:06:25):
whatever so I
think reflecting on the
collection what we would do inthe future things like things
like that just general thoughtsabout it I think in choosing two
villains, I think they chosethe correct villains for this.
Because also, it's nice thatthey chose two villains that are
(01:06:45):
associated with two princessesthat were not included in the
Disney Princess Collection.
We didn't get Snow White.
We didn't get Aurora.
So this is a way of sort oflike getting them without
getting them.
So I really liked that they didthat.
However, I want Ursula.
Caroline Aimetti (01:07:02):
I also look
back at when we predicted this
collection and I very much wouldhave enjoyed a Gaston I
Conor Perkins (01:07:10):
think a
Caroline Aimetti (01:07:11):
leathery
Conor Perkins (01:07:12):
a leathery yes or
or even like I've seen people
also say this and I would agreeto like a Captain Hook where you
get something a little bit more
Caroline Aimetti (01:07:20):
like ocean-y
Conor Perkins (01:07:21):
or or just sort
of like musky cologne-y
Caroline Aimetti (01:07:23):
oh oh
Conor Perkins (01:07:24):
yeah like more
like cologne and I
Caroline Aimetti (01:07:28):
think I wonder
if their thinking is like not
for nothing I think this theseBath and Body Works in general
is is more marketed towardswomen, although the men's
collection is growing and isexcellent.
Conor Perkins (01:07:38):
The men's
collection, people, you should
not sleep on the men'scollection.
My everyday cologne that I wearis Bath & Body Works.
My shower gel is Bath & BodyWorks.
My husband as well,
Caroline Aimetti (01:07:49):
and he smells
damn good.
And like, I think they mighthave been thinking the way that
probably, I hate thesestereotypes, but probably
majority of the customers forthe Disney Princess Collection
were women because, yeah, Iguess women are more likely to
also wear those scents but likenumber one if they had put some
male villains in here Iabsolutely would have bought
(01:08:10):
products for them maybe itwouldn't have been body care but
then I think they could haveincreased the customer base
because I could totally see likeI think my husband would have
worn scents from the collection
Conor Perkins (01:08:20):
yeah honestly I
could have seen them doing like
two and two two female villainstwo male villains they could
have done they could have goneGaston or Captain Hook for like
a more sweet like whiskeybourbon-y that kind of thing and
then as one of the charactersand then they could have gone
(01:08:40):
like Hades Dr.
Facilier for like
Caroline Aimetti (01:08:43):
Dr.
Facilier would smell somethingsmoky so sexy
Conor Perkins (01:08:47):
yeah
Caroline Aimetti (01:08:48):
ooh actually
missed opportunity Dr.
Facilier is hot yeah
Conor Perkins (01:08:54):
okay okay hear me
out I mean
Caroline Aimetti (01:08:56):
hear me out
for sure I did read online that
there was they had theirinvestor board or whatever
meeting bath and body works andthey have signed a multi-year
collaboration deal with disneyso the sky's the limit i'm sure
that's part of it as wellbecause they launched the disney
princess collection obviouslythere's so much built-in love
(01:09:17):
for so many different princessesso why not feature many of them
but i think they were like whoathat was really successful
let's not just like blow throughall of these characters because
then what are we gonna do so ihave a feeling that that's part
of the reason why we only gottwo villains and also they
probably we didn't have a ton oftime to prep this as well after
the success of the princesses
Conor Perkins (01:09:37):
I think probably
I think it's that I think it's
this is also their first globallaunch
Caroline Aimetti (01:09:42):
right
Conor Perkins (01:09:43):
so Disney
princesses was not available
worldwide so having a smallerinventory means that they can
make more of it and have it moreavailable so like I haven't
seen as many issues of thingsrunning out in the way that the
Disney princess collection hashappened so I think that that is
ultimately a a good thing likeyou want the collaboration to be
(01:10:06):
successful and you want peopleto be able to get it
Caroline Aimetti (01:10:09):
yeah and I was
disappointed at first that it
was only two but there is a hugerange of items in this
collection like I didn't walk inand feel like I didn't have a
lot to look at
Conor Perkins (01:10:18):
there was tons to
look at there was plenty to
look at and then the other thingis if Disney Villains is gonna
come out around spooky seasonthat is also fall and Christmas
Halloween and Christmas are thetwo biggest like most most
product dense moments for Bathand Body Works.
There's a lot of productsalready out.
(01:10:40):
We've got their Halloweenstuff.
Then we have Fall in general.
And then now we have Disneyvillains.
There's a lot of stuff out.
So I can understand being like, okay, we're going to do two
because we don't need tocompletely overrun our store.
Yeah, if they had launched
Caroline Aimetti (01:10:56):
villains at
the same time as princesses,
they could have done a fullvillains collection because it's
like that.
Conor Perkins (01:11:00):
Right, because it
was that early spring time
where it was Kind of like,
Caroline Aimetti (01:11:04):
eh, what is
it?
What
Conor Perkins (01:11:04):
holiday is it?
Yeah.
People don't know what kind ofscent they're buying yet because
we're not in florals for springyet.
So they could afford to belike, hey, here's six princesses
and all of their shit.
And everyone's like, great, I'mgoing to buy six candles now.
Caroline Aimetti (01:11:17):
I'm still,
that's, okay.
On that note, on that note, theone thing I will say is,
obviously you all know, or ifyou don't, you should totally go
back and listen to our Disneyprincess episode.
We bought every single scentfrom that collection because the
prices for the three-wickcandle, and we bought three-wick
candle candles for all of themtoo.
The prices were more in linewith the typical Bath and Body
(01:11:37):
Works three wick candle price.
I would have bought a three.
Number one, I like three wicksmore.
I like a lot of
Conor Perkins (01:11:43):
scent.
I do too.
Caroline Aimetti (01:11:44):
And also the
three wicks in this collection
are beautiful.
The casing and everything, thehologram, it's all beautiful.
It was far too expensive for meto invest in that.
Conor Perkins (01:11:54):
This collection
was much more expensive.
Yeah.
These
Caroline Aimetti (01:11:59):
single wicks
were $18.95 each.
Conor Perkins (01:12:02):
Yes.
We fortunately got them on aday where they were having a
deal of two for 20.
So basically, it was like buyone, get one free.
I got
Caroline Aimetti (01:12:09):
lucky.
I had a reward that was $18.95or less.
Get a free item.
Blessed.
But I couldn't afford,especially because I didn't know
which scent.
I couldn't afford to spend $80on two candles.
Conor Perkins (01:12:26):
Yeah, those
candles, they're $40 a pop.
That's a hefty price for acandle.
And I get that they've got likethe...
top is really embellished andyou've got the hologram and
stuff like that but
Caroline Aimetti (01:12:37):
but I'm kind
of like listen even I've had a
lot of you know three wick I'vehad I've bought some of the
fancy three wick tops before atthe end of the day even if I
aspire to keep the jar I'm notkeeping it so I wish that we had
saved the hologram effect forsomething else in the collection
Conor Perkins (01:12:57):
or like the
pedestal like where you yeah
Caroline Aimetti (01:13:01):
I'm gonna get
rid of it I'm gonna get rid of
it
Conor Perkins (01:13:04):
yeah
Caroline Aimetti (01:13:04):
so
Conor Perkins (01:13:04):
yeah it's too
expensive for a like a one-time
use item
Caroline Aimetti (01:13:08):
yeah
especially the way that we burn
through three wicks like
Conor Perkins (01:13:11):
very very
Caroline Aimetti (01:13:12):
true
Conor Perkins (01:13:12):
very very true so
I think our humble advice to
our good friends at Bath andBody Works is please keep doing
this yes please keep doing this
Caroline Aimetti (01:13:24):
we want more
Conor Perkins (01:13:25):
do not forget us
Take our advice and then also
your price point and yourconsumer base is probably closer
to what the success of thePrincess Collection was more so
than the Villains Collection.
But the way in which you ampedup the designs, the products,
(01:13:48):
the vibes for the DisneyVillains Collection is exactly
what we were looking for and itdid not disappoint at
Caroline Aimetti (01:13:57):
all.
And the in-store setups arereally, really gorgeous.
Like there's a reason you seeeverybody going in there and
filming them because it's justdisplayed beautifully.
And like I appreciate the careput into that for a two-cent
collection.
Like that's, yeah, we're eatingthis up.
Conor Perkins (01:14:14):
We really are.
We really are.
And it hit at a really nicetime too because it's right
before spooky season really.
Caroline Aimetti (01:14:21):
That's what
I'm saying is like this is the
time of year.
I mean this is a season agowhen we did our fall.
candle bracket another thingyou should go back and listen to
if you haven't listened to it Imean this is when Conor and I
huge Disney huge Bath and BodyWorks fans go hard on Bath and
Body Works like this is when wego and stock up and if you had
told us a year ago that we wouldget to buy Disney villain
(01:14:46):
scents in spooky season we wouldhave lost our damn minds so
what a gift thank you such agift
Conor Perkins (01:14:54):
thank you and
also last thing I'll say to Bath
and Body Works because I knowyou're listening.
Caroline has designed a scentprofile for Ursula already for a
birthday slideshow presentationfor me.
So she's already got it.
Yeah,
Caroline Aimetti (01:15:12):
I do.
Conor Perkins (01:15:12):
So hit her up.
Hit her up.
Thank you so much.
She's got it.
It's good.
I do have it.
I mean, can you imagine theNautilus shell shit that we
would get?
Yeah,
Caroline Aimetti (01:15:22):
I think I have
this feeling we're going to get
it at this time next year.
Conor Perkins (01:15:25):
Can you imagine a
hologram of the Vanessa
silhouette into Ursula?
Caroline Aimetti (01:15:30):
That, I'm
honestly, for us, for me and
you, I am so grateful that therewas no Ursula because we would
have bought all of it.
And
Conor Perkins (01:15:40):
we will.
And I'm having such a hard timenot spending money right now.
Caroline Aimetti (01:15:43):
Yeah.
No, it wouldn't have been goodfor us.
If there's like, if they doUrsula in the same way and we
get Ursula, Vanessa, I mean,it's over.
It's
Conor Perkins (01:15:50):
over.
Caroline Aimetti (01:15:51):
What if they
do Disney Princess Heroes?
What if they do like aHercules, Hercules would smell
so good.
I don't know what he would evensmell like, but he would smell
so good.
I
Conor Perkins (01:16:03):
mean, I would
love for them in the future to
do, like, to do a Heroes.
Heroes! Like, to do, like,
Caroline Aimetti (01:16:13):
Hercules,
Robin Hood, Judy Hopps, Meg,
maybe.
Meg?
Yeah.
Conor Perkins (01:16:21):
But we're here
for it.
We love it.
This is always such a treatwhen we get to pivot Disney into
some of the other passions thatwe have
Caroline Aimetti (01:16:29):
completely
unrelated passion that we have
that has somehow become relatedto this which is just it has
been one of the best surprisesof 2025 okay I'm just gonna say
it how how how but I love it andseriously thank you to all of
you online who tagged us andlike alerted us and like
(01:16:52):
mentioned us in the commentslike thank you for seeing us and

then also just tap the sharebutton and send this to a friend
who you know loves Bath andBody Works or who you think owes
you a single wick candle.
Send it to them and be like,Conor and Caroline said that you
owe me a single wick candle.
(01:17:43):

Works, like you got to drop thecollection at the right moment.
It's
Conor Perkins (01:20:04):
the right moment
and it'll happen.
