What is it about a great plot twist that draws us in? Is it the surprise? Is it the twisting of the narrative at a moments notice? Is it the chewy red candy? No, those are Twizzlers. It's probably one of those first two, but whatever it is, Izzy and Cam are going to discuss it today and figure it out. Or at the very least, they're going to discuss it.

A twisty-turny round of “A Completely Normal Ga-PLOT TWIST” sends off our hosts this week.

(00:08):
In time. In time, there'sa gut to follow to make it true.
Mister Culture Welcome one and all tothe Pop Culture Field Manual podcast,
hitting right at that intersection of weapons, action in the military end pop culture.

(00:28):
Today's episode not so much. Today'sepisode is kind of running away from
the corner because I mean, wecan still include some things in there,
but today it's all about the plottwist the movie that makes you say,
wait a moment, did I misssomething? Because we're going a completely opposite
direction. Now, Yeah, it'strue, much like this episode. We

(00:49):
all love good stories, and Ithink one of the elements of a really
good story is that plot twist. We all remember, whether it's a video
game, of movie, or atelevision show or even a book, we
all remember that point at which somethingwas revealed that we had no idea,
totally unexpected. That changes the waythat we see the entire story or a
character. And it's that's hard todo. That takes a really skillful hand,

(01:12):
I think, and we can measureits effectiveness by how many of us,
and how often and how long weremember that plot twist and just how
it really affected us. I thinkwe like that too. We love novelty.
We love surprise. I think that'sthe kind of part of the human
experience. And so a good plottwist something unexpected. Man, it just

(01:33):
really it really sticks with this camera. What do you think what do you
think makes a good plot twist? What do you think is the anatomy or
the elements that make a good plottwist. That's an interesting question because I
think there are Let me answer yourquestion with a question like, what are

(01:53):
the most memorable plot twists? Arethey the good ones? Are they the
shocking ones? Yeah? So youknow, I can I feel like the
ones we remember the most, likethe one some of the movies we're going
to talk to about today, orhold on, let me just have a
have a brain reset really quick.Take your time, man, there's your

(02:13):
am I think, uh, youknow, like some of the movies we're
going to talk about today, theyhave absolutely shocking plot twists, like the
movie might not be the best moviein the world, but the fact that
it has something that makes you,you know, spit your popcorn out or
you know, your extra extra largediet coke at the movie theater, Like
those movies really stick with you.And those are the movies you tell your

(02:36):
friends about yeah, you know. But then there are some movies that are
really well done and have a reallygood plot twist, and those are even
better. So I think just thefact, I think that the shock behind
it, that it is you good, yeah, sorry, just you know,
morning gats of the case. Ithink the the I think a really

(02:59):
good twist, this is the shockthat comes afterwards, like is it impressionable?
Is it something that you could havepredicted? I know, some like
the elements of adding foreshadowing can kindof like, you know, leave a
little breadcrumb trails for the audience topick up. But then there's also some
that just come out of left fieldand you're like, I did not see
this coming, and those are themost memorable. What do you think,

(03:19):
Well, let's take let's take oneof the let's take one of our one
off the list, just to usethat as a as a personification or example
to kind of dissect what we're talkingabout. So let's talk about the sixth
sens right, okay, two thousand, two thousand and one or something like
that long time ago. Am notSeamlan really brought him onto the scene in
a big way, and he's knownfor his plot twists. There's always a

(03:42):
plot twist. Ninety nine, Ohmy ninety nine a freshman. I was
a fresh I graduated high school asa freshman in college that year. I
remember seeing it four years in Colorado. Yeah, so because that's why,
that's how I that's how I patternmy life. That's how I track the
timeline of my life is by whatwhere I was when I saw a certain
movie. But the sixth sense,Okay, so you you kind of said

(04:04):
a little bit of the elements thereyou if you know what to look for,
it's right there in front of you. Yeah, a rewatch if you
will, if you go back, rewatch it. You're like, you're like
Leonardo DiCaprio, and once upon atime he's like, there is there.
It is Yeah, yep, exactly, So you there's elements that that are

(04:26):
there. Like you know, BruceWillis gets shot in the very beginning,
it kind of fades away, andthen you just assume that he's okay,
And then the way that he interactswith other people throughout the movie, you
kind of just because you weren't explicitlytold that he's dead, then you just
accept like, oh, he's havinga bad time with his marriage. He's
not talking to his wife's ignoring him, so they're having a tough time.

(04:47):
There's some unfinished business there. Thenlater on you start seeing if you listen
to the commentary, I'm not showing, it's like everything that's read is something
that is affected by the supernatural. So the door, the ornob but to
his study that he keeps having tounlock when he goes, you know home,
and then uh, and then thebig one is the kid that he

(05:08):
says, I see dead people andhe's looking right at Bruce Willis when he
says that, right, he's like, they don't know they're dead. So
he's basically telling him what the plotof the story is, what the big
twist is, but you don't noticeit because you're just not conditioned to or
you know, you the clues arethere, but it's not explicit. So
he did a really good job ofweaving in the mystery the plot twist.

(05:30):
And then at the end, bamis a big reveal as Bruce Willis has
been dead the entire time. Spoilersit's been out for twenty four years.
But yeah, so it's it's yeahby now okay, so my apologies,
my oh yes, absolutely. Yes, were major spoilers folks, this entire

(05:53):
episode. If you didn't catch thetype from the title, plot twists,
right, things that are revealed, things that are unexpec that we're going to
talk about in movies, in filmand television or you know, video games.
Yeah, that's gonna be a bigspoilers in the entire Yeah. I
mean to be safe, and tobe fair, most of the movies we
are going to talk about have notare not brand new. You know,

(06:15):
these are kind of of all time, like the lists, these are great,
These have been out for you know, close to I would say the
most recent one I want to talkabout really quick, came out in maybe
like twenty eighteen. Okay, butby all means, like, these are
not new movies. But still ifwe mentioned a movie you have yet to
see and is on your list tosee, by all means, please skip

(06:40):
ahead. Yes, but uh yeahwe are. We're not going to hold
any punches because this is absolutely aboutplot twists, so there's no getting away
from that. One more thing I'llsay about plot twists is this. This
is going to be obvious, butthere's a reason why I'm saying it.
But it has to be the surpriseis part of it, right, it's

(07:01):
something you didn't expect, But itcan't be completely outside of what's been established
in the movie, right, itcan't be some sort of dais x Macna
got out of the machine, likeall of a sudden, she oh,
she's a she's a goddess, becausethat she has these powers all of a
sudden, And it's like that wasnever established, it was never hinted that
there was no way anybody in thestory or in the audience could have known

(07:25):
that. So I think I thinkthat's a that's an important element which kind
of maybe goes along with what wewere talking about with the sixth sense,
is the seeds are planted and andit's it's plausible within the story that this
could take place, but it wasdone in such a way that it's surprising.
It's it's enjoyable or entertaining or atleast shocking in a in a very

(07:46):
kind of basic human way, whichwhich we'll talk about one of the greatest
ones. I see it on ourlist right now. But so so yeah,
I uh yeah, man, let'suh, why don't you gonna we
kick us off officially, Cameron,Let's start at the top all right,
because there's a lot on this list, and there's a lot that I would
love to get to because I loveplot a good plot twist because it makes

(08:09):
a story that much more memorable.Yeah, we're gonna run out of time.
Spoiler alert, plot twist, We'renot gonna get to them all you
get. Let's start with our topones, like you just can't live without
talking about Okay, if we're gonnatalk about that in plot twists, we
might as well talk about Old Boyfirst and foremost. Because when I mentioned
I put that on the list, that gets the reaction from you for the

(08:33):
listeners was is he said, that'sthe greatest plot twist of all time.
I'm telling you, man, Solet's talk about Old Boy because I know
you're the one who introduced this movieto me, because I think we're talking
about crazy movies, and you're like, you have to watch Old Boy?
Did you watch it? Tell meabout your I did. I watched the
American the American version, Josh Rolin. Okay, yeah, the Brolin version,

(08:56):
but I know you told me theYeah, the Korean one was better
and now full I've never seen theJosh Brolin version, but I was impacted
by the original Korean version that I'mlike, well, what else needs to
be said about this? Okay, well that's a Is that a strictly imo
type of move right there? Yeah? Yeah, I I I yeah,

(09:18):
I'm trying to be I'm trying tobe fair these days with I'm sure there's
differences. I mean the first Imean, I watched the movie, and
to be honest, I did notwant to watch the Korean version really.
I was just like, I'm overthis. This plot twist is too gnarly.
I Okay, yeah it is.It's totally demented. Yeah, it's

(09:41):
very demented. So why don't youbecause I don't want to ruin anything because
it's been some time, and sinceit's so impactful to you, why don't
you explain the plot and kind ofthe twist. Okay, basic short,
short story long, folks. It'sin Korea. There's a businessman. We
see him. We are introduced tothe main character, deco Oh. He's

(10:03):
drunk one night with his buddies. He's out on the street corner. He's
like, hey, I got tocall my daughter real quick. And he's
on the phone. He's like,Hey, I love you, honey.
You know. And and then itkind of goes over to his buddy who's
buying another drink, and then itkind of goes back to the phone booth
and he's gone, and he wakesup in this room. It's like a
hotel room, and he's locked inthere. He's trapped and he doesn't know

(10:24):
why. Nobody talks to him.He doesn't ever see anybody, but there's
food that comes in, and everyonce in a while there's some gas that
will come in. He'll get knockedout, and when he wakes up,
he'll be clean, he'll be shaving, he'll be taken care of. And
he is there for who knows howlong, you don't know, log down
long time, lot years, yes, right, this is yeah, exactly,

(10:45):
And and so he gets real bitterand he starts training himself and he's
like, I'm gonna find out whoeverdid this, and I'm gonna get him.
I'm gonna beat him to nothingness, you know. And so this goes
on for hotos how long, andone day he wakes up and he's outside
and he's got a little bit ofmoney in his in his wallet, and
he's back and he just like hegoes out and he's trying to look for

(11:07):
this. He's trying to understand whathappened to him, and he meets this
young lady who is like a Idon't know if she's like a prostitute or
something like that. She just kindof works in a local restaurant, I
think, and she she has mercyon him. Yeah, yeah, she
has mercy on him, and shekind of helps him out, so they
kind of have a relationship. Wallwhile he's looking for whoever it was that
did this to him, and alongthe way he finds out where the address

(11:31):
was of this place, and it'slike right in the middle of the town.
It's this hidden, kind of enclosedhotel type space and he goes in
there and he just there's this greatscene action scene and it's a one shot,
so there's no cuts, but it'sa tracking side shot, so it
kind of follows him from the sidedown a hallway and there's all these dudes
that are trying to stop him fromgetting in there, and he has a
hammer and it's this fight scene thatjust he's just hitting these dudes with a

(11:54):
hammer and he's getting beat up andit's awesome and it doesn't stop. It's
really messy. It's very like theseason one Daredevil type fights where they do
the one the one shot. There'sno there's no cuts or anything like that.
So it's great, it's really good. He meets this. Uh so,
he finally meets this. He comesto find out that the guy who
may be responsible for this is anold schoolmate of his, and he doesn't

(12:16):
he says, the guy comes tome, he says, hey, you
know, and we used to goto school together, and he doesn't really
remember who he is. Yeah, and isn't there something about it, like
a hypnotist involved. Yeah. Hegoes to a hypnotist at one tempt to
help him uncover memories of you know, to help him out to discover who
ultimately did this to him, becausehe has a lot of gaps in his

(12:39):
memory. And so ultimately he comesto he finds out that it's this dude
who has been in and out ofthe movie and kind of he's kind of
given him clues. He's like, hey, you should go over here,
he should do this. So he'slike, oh, this guy, this
is the guy that did it.He paid to have me put in this
place, so he's gonna go gethim. He goes to the guy's place,
and what you find out, thebig one of the big reveals is

(13:03):
this guy that he goes after theywere in school together, and then the
old boy phrase comes from. Itwas kind of like a school phrase for
them, like the you know, like we're the old boys from this one
school, like a school pride typething, will always be the old boys
or whatever. And come to findout that the the the antagonist of the
film had a sister in the schooland him and the sister were like having

(13:28):
like an incestuous sexual relationship and thatwas and then what happened was the main
character he revealed it, and andthe girl, the sister of the antagonist,
was so ashamed by it she endedup committing suicide. And so this
guy, this guy wanted to getrevenge on the main character. So what
he did is he had him lockedaway, right and uh, and he

(13:52):
tells him that they're they're confronting oneanother, and he's like, I wanted
you to feel the same way thatI felt when you shamed me in my
sister back in the old school days. And so he gives him a book.
He's like, this is my presentto you. And so the main
character opens up the book and it'sa picture book, and the first picture
is of his little daughter, likeas a little kid, you know,

(14:13):
like a little like five, sixyears old or whatever. He's like,
oh, my god, my daughter. And he starts flipping through the picture
book and she's getting older and hesees, you know, it's these pictures
that the bad guy has taken ofher, kind of surreptitiously, secretly.
She's getting older, she's getting older. And finally he turns the page and
he realizes that this woman that's beenhelping him out, this woman that he's
been having sex with, this womanhas been a relationship, was his own

(14:35):
daughter. Ah it's yeah, it'sand he can't handle it and yeah and
so and then what the bad guydoes. He's like, we're gonna call
your daughter and we're gonna tell her. He's like, no, don't tell
her, and he starts freaking outof you. He's like, I will
do anything. I will. Iwill, you know, I'll do anything.
He takes. He's like, I'mgonna I will never tell her.
If you never tell her, it'llbe our secret. And what he does,

(14:58):
the good the Bain character takes andnot or takes scissors and he takes
his tongue out and he cuts offhis own tongue to show that he's never
going to tell. He's like, please never tell her, and the bad
Guy's like okay, and he's justkind of like, let's it go,
and he goes into the elevator andhe the bad guy, like the antagonist,

(15:18):
is riding the elevator down. Afterthat, he's thinking about his sister
and then he ends up just blowinghis own brains out. It's kind of
one of those yeah, And soultimately he has this knowledge and the girl
who is essentially his daughter comes tohim and she cares about him, and
you know, she wants to takecare of him, she wants to be
with him. So he goes backto the hypnotist and he gets the hypnotist

(15:41):
to make him forget everything that hasjust happened so that he can, in
blissful ignorance, be with this younglady's daughter, his daughter, and not
really ever realize what has happened. And so and at the end she does
it and he's okay and he's happy, and that's the yeah ever app Yeah,
it's dude, that twist is thismovie is just like that's what I'm

(16:06):
talking about when I'm what I mentioned, the shock, you know, the
shock of this information, like howwords can make you feel or how watching
something can make you feel. Solike you know, like it's a jaw
dropping moment in Old Boy. Yeah, and it's crazy because like you know,
you read this is obviously according tothe Wikipedia page, which is super

(16:29):
accurate. But like it's regarded asone of the best films ever made,
really I believe, yeah, allegedly, And it's included in numerous quote unquote
best of lists from many publications, and it was placed on as sixty fourth
place on an Empire list of topfive hundred movies of all time. Yeah,

(16:52):
it's dude, this movie is insane. Yeah. Yeah, it's a
it's it's it's a revenge. It'sa lot. I guess the greatest films
can be a lot of things allit wants. So it's a revenge story,
but it's a double revenge story. He thinks he's trying to get revenge
on the guy that put him inthere, that took away his life for
ten fifteen years, and but it'sultimately a part of the antagonist's plan to

(17:14):
get revenge on him for something thathappened twenty twenty five years ago. You
know, it's like a double revenge, double down revenge. It's and it's
it's the fact that he makes himgo through. He manipulates him into going
through the exact same thing that hehimself went through when he was having this
incestuous relationship with his own sister. And she ends up killing herself and when
she finds out, and it's it'skind of this weird it's when you have

(17:38):
conflicting feelings. It's a happy ending, right because she doesn't find out and
he gets what he wants, Hegets to be with her. But it's
also sick and disgusting because it ison daughter, because like the biggest taboo
of like one of the one ofthe largest taboos in our culture. I
would say, so yes, it'slike you don't have sex with children and
you don't have sex with your familymembers, like those are yep, you

(17:59):
know those are the big ones.Yeah, you don't do right. And
it's like and all these themes areintroduced into this, you know. Yeah,
it's just really it's a lot. It's an emotional roller coaster, like
I can imagine when you know, imagine this movie's in theaters for the first
time in two thousand and three andjust watching the faces of the people exiting

(18:22):
the theater, you know, justlike what, what would you see on
their faces? Yeah, you'd seediscuss confusion about it. Yeah, they
do talk about it for two threehours after after the movie's over with.
Yeah, because that's how you process. Yeah, that's how you know it
really affected you when you're I mean, we're obviously we're obviously talking about it

(18:44):
and including it on the list today, but after the movie, you got
to go talk about it, yougot to unpack it. And so there's
definitely something that uh that that there'ssomething in there about how its impact has
lasted this long that makes it sucha great Yeah, great thing. I
don't know, I mean, it'sit's obviously a huge twist. And there
are those movies that like, youknow, kind of are on the border

(19:07):
of snuff film, and like, you know, yeah, it's like they're
the only reason this movie exists andit's popular is because it is so over
the top and it is so gruesomeand crazy, and you know, I'm
sure we can do an entire episodebecause for some reason, as I've stated
before on the podcast, that Ilove watching these movies just to say that

(19:27):
I have seen it. Yeah,Like they are so intense. Like there's
some movies that have been banned innumerous countries that I've gone out of my
way to watch. Yeah, Serbianfilm for one. And it's like,
dude, it's like these movies arelike category. They are a category category
of their own. Yes, andlike for some reason, old boy like

(19:48):
all these themes, these taboo themes, like you know they people are so
attracted them for some reason. Yeah, is it? Like is it because
they live like vicious lead through theyou know, the protagonists or they're they're
like, is that like how theyget their rocks off to where they're like,
oh, like is that how theyexpose themselves to it but in a

(20:10):
safe manner to where they don't feelbad about themselves? Like yeah, who
knows. Yeah, I think it'sa I think it's a lot of those.
I think it's that for sure, because in movies and television, video
games, we can experience things thatwe will never experience in our lives.
Yeah, but it's also an oldboy you really feel for the guy because
you have no context for his lifewhen he gets put in there, you

(20:33):
really want him to go out andget revenge, sure, because you're so
sympathetic fwurteen years. Yeah, andhe's mistreated and we can we would hate
that. We can identify with himif we were put there for no reason
that we know of, and andthen we were and then we because we
get it. And then to betaken on that journey with him, and
then to have that other stuff berevealed in a in a skillful way,

(20:57):
all of a sudden, we feelas twisted and demented. So it's maybe
it's something about a filmmaker who canmake the audience feel what the character's feeling
in the movie somehow to some degree. Yeah, we feel twisted and weird
and dirty. Yeah we liked him, Yeah, we like we felt for
him. We felt so bad forhim, and now he's having sex with

(21:18):
his own daughter and you're like,oh, but it was manipulated. And
so maybe it's a filmmaker that canlayer those feelings on top of each other
and you can have them all atthe same time. Makes it memorable.
It does, It does make itabsolutely memorable. Well that's old boy.
Yes, can I tell you aboutone. Just I mean, this one
is most recent that I've seen. It's not a good movie by all means,

(21:41):
but it has a super interesting twist. Yes, yes, absolutely,
yeah. Yeah. So did youever see Malignant? I have only ever
seen the parts of the part ofMalignant which I was interested in, which
is the last fifteen minutes. Ohso the twist, the twist basically,
yeah, yeah, So I rememberwhen this movie came out. It was

(22:03):
I think it was right around thetime I was getting out of the army.
What was it. When did thiscome out? Let's see, like
twenty eighteen, oh, twenty twentyone, never month. I remember when
this movie came out because I'm abig, like scary horror movie guy.
So like when a new horror moviecomes out, you know, obviously it's
in the limelight. I'm like,oh, this could be good. But
I let it come out to DVDand I finally got around to watching it

(22:25):
a couple of months ago, andyeah, this has a very interesting twist.
So essentially, you have this womanwho is in a very abusive relationship
and the you know, before youeven come to find out, you get
some background of like this girl who'sin you know, who's in psychiatric care
for like her youth. And there'sanother person there as well, and you

(22:51):
don't really get a lot of youknow, they're they're operating on her somehow,
and you don't really get a lotof context, but you know there's
two people there and that's it.So but anyways, fast forward, she's
all grown up and she's you know, living on her own. She's in
a very abusive relationship, she's pregnantto her her man is beating the crap
out of her. And then oneday, like this very ghosty kind of

(23:15):
like like like demon figure appears inher home and murders her husband and leaves
her alive. She wakes up andshe has no recollection of how anything happened.
All she remembers is like this apparitionwas like trasing her. And then
she passes out and wakes up andlike her man's dead. Anyways, you
know, cops are involved, andthere's this other figure that like is cloaked

(23:41):
that's committing all these murders for peopleyou know that have slight connection to this
woman. And he is you know, he wears a hood and he has
this like really interesting dagger thing andhe's going around and he's murdering people,
and they're like, you know, obviously the police are trying to catch this
guy. So she's not a suspectuntil she's like, just happens to be

(24:06):
in the same in the same locationof all these murders somehow. So anyways,
she becomes a suspect. And fastforward through all this like crime and
mystery. The guy that has been, you know, murdering all these people
turns out to be her. Itis her, but it's not her at

(24:33):
the same time because in actuality, she has a tumor that's on the back
of her head that is also it'scalled a malignant tumor, which you know,
can develop to create like hair andteeth and what. You know,
my fiance has removed some of thesein her clinic time, and yeah,

(24:55):
it can grow like hair, eyeballs, even like teeth, and but this
one developed into kind of like aSiamese twin in a way, so it
had a mind of its own,you know, it could take control of
her body, and you know,it was removed in the beginning of the
movie, like they tried to removeher, and you know, growing up
it was like her twin. Itwas a voice in her head because it
had a mind of its own andit would tell her to do bad things.

(25:18):
And you know, but it wason the back of her head and
it was always covered and they removedit, but then she banked, I
guess in the movie when her husbandwas abusing her and she hid her head.
After she was being abused, itlike woke up the tumor. It
was activated it and activated it again, so it like hit it really hard,
and then it came to life andstarted taking control of her body when

(25:40):
she was sleeping and just killing everything. And actually it was going after the
people response responsible for trying to removethe tumor from her as a child.
So you just basically have this ladywho like does everything in reverse. Like
imagine like you know in the FirstSorcerer Strong Harry Potter, how the guy's

(26:00):
face is on the back of It'slike Voldemort's on the head is on the
back of that guy. It's essentiallythat, but like it just opens up
and has like teeth and eyeballs andit's like a scary face and it could
take control. Like imagine if Boltimorecould take control of that guy and turn
around and just do everything in reverse. Yeah, yeah, it's the it's
really cool how they do to choreography. I started watching. I watched from

(26:23):
the prison fight on because it's justlike it turns out I heard somebody talking
about. They're like, yeah,it really changes tone the last fifteen minutes.
It turns into like the Matrix movies. Yeah it does, Yeah,
it does. They do a goodjob because he kind of like breaks you
know, like breaks her elbows likein the opposite direction. Yeah, and
well everything it tell it looks likea stunt guy bending over backwards, but

(26:45):
for the malignant part, it wouldbe bending over forwards. And the fighting
is really kind of uniquely done.It is, but it's super demented and
you're like, cause, you know, there's those some movies that the twist
is a little comical more than itis, like, you know, especially
like it starts out very horrific, like there's these brutal murders, like the
character's pretty scary. You have noidea what's going on, But then you

(27:07):
find that twist and you're like,oh, this kind of becomes silly.
And then you see all this likebackward stuff and it's just like this is
silly. This is this is stupid, But was it ultimately like kind of
dom and silly is that it wasat the end, Like the twist made
it kind of less serious. Itmade it more of a comedy because you're

(27:29):
like, oh, yeah, benigntumor with the mind of its own that
controls this lady and you know,is murdering everybody that separated them. Like
that's a little silly. It's youknow, because the the scariest things to
me are things that can actually happen, you know, like there's no way
that's going to happen. So tome, it's it's super silly. Well,

(27:49):
no discussion of plot twists would becomplete if we didn't at least spend
a little bit of time on talkingabout Game of Throats, because that show
a show about plot twists. Yeah, that that show leaned heavily into plot
twists. It was one of thoseshows that part of the reason why I

(28:10):
think it became a worldwide phenomenon wasthat you didn't know who was safe.
There was no character to predict anything. Yeah, you couldn't predict anything.
It was because it was the Gameof Thrones. It was intrigued. People
were back you know, backdoor dealingand and working in the shadows against one
another, and yeah, man,it's that has some of the most iconic
and memorable plot twists from the firstseason where the main character Edward Stark Sean

(28:37):
Bean hashtag Shafe Dave Sean Bean, but he's the main character, and in
the second last episode, bam itgets his head chopped off and he's done.
Boom. You're like, this guy'shigh profile actor too. There's that
way they're going to kill him offboom dead Yep, yep, exactly.
And then that sets the tone forthe rest of the seasons, including the

(28:59):
Red Wedding and see and I thinkthree that is, and then kind of
towards the end, obviously when theystarted running out of book material, they
still tried to do plot twists, but they got a little a little less
conceivable. I think the worst onewas what seventh or eighth season. I
think it was the seventh season whena little Finger, who is basically the

(29:21):
best at playing the Game of Thrones, he is the smartest character in the
entire series, he gets double crossedor or outsmarted by Aria Stark and and
the other the sister with the redhair Leon or whatever. I forget him,
but anyway he gets us smarta bythem in a way that it was

(29:41):
just kind of lazy writing and Ididn't really believe it when it happened.
And so but that whole that wholeshow was Yeah, it was all about
keeping you on your toes, neverhaving a character that was safe except for
I feel like Tyrian Lanister did upbecoming safe safe towards the end because he

(30:02):
was a fan favorite. And uh, but uh, but yeah, lots
of plot twists, not just plottwists in terms of characters dying, but
unexpected things happening. And that's thepower of Jared ar jer Are Tolking,
George R. R. Martin.Uh, that's the power of his writing
and how he really played with conventionsof heroes and who we wanted and didn't

(30:25):
want to live. And it wasn'tabout being a good or a bad person.
In fact, if you were agood person, that probably worked against
you in the world that he setup, because West Tros was all about
backstabbing. It's all about backdoor dealingand playing that game of thrones where you
either win or you die. Sohad to put that out there because for
so many years that that show wason everybody's lips. It was all about

(30:47):
did you see the Game of Thronesepisode? And I miss I mean it
still happens to this day, butwith a lot of streaming service we we
binge watch shows and uh and Iyou know, I don't really talk to
a lot of people, I meanmore except for you about like pop culture
stuff. But it was all aboutlike, hey, did you see this
that I gave a Thrones episode?Oh my gosh, did you see it?
And you had to watch it quickbecause other watch somebody would spoil it

(31:08):
for you online. Yeah, likepeople were watching a Rona came out.
I mean they killed off you know, they killed off Get Harrington John snow
mm hmmm, and like he wasa fan favorite, but they brought him
back. Yeah that was yeah.Yeah, that was amazing too, because
that was the only one they did, you know, yeah, he actually
went. They did that. Actually. In the book, what's her name,

(31:30):
uh, Stark, the lady StarkEdward's wife, I forget her first
name. You guys can yell atyour radios and tell me. Yeah.
At the Red Wedding, she getskilled, right, she gets her throat
slit. But in the book, there is one of the Red Wizards kind
of the only people that actually havemagical powers, the priests and priestesses of
the Red God. Yeah, hehas the power to bring his buddy back

(31:55):
to life. In the band Brotherhoodswas out Banners, but then in a
book he finds her body and heactually brings her back, and she takes
over the band Brothers. She takesover that band, and she starts kind
of marauding across the countryside. Theycall her Lady Stoneheart, and to talk
she has to hold her throat closedto talk, and she becomes totally heartless

(32:16):
and cruel and in the books, come the day they ever become finished.
But then the books currently that's whatshe's doing, so she's the only she's
one of the only other characters thathas been brought back to life by by
the Red Priests and Priestesses. Butyeah, John snow coming back. It
was like, that's so satisfying. And then he gets to leave right because
he's technically died in service of ofthe uh you know, uh, the

(32:42):
Wall black Clothes. Yeah, theWall that Yeah, they call it.
Man, I think so long, dude, it's been so long. Watch.
Yeah, I've thought about doing that. All the way up until season
seven and then I just stopped. But but yeah, Game of Thrones amazing
plot twists, really well done allthe way up until season seven and eight.

(33:05):
But thank you, thank you,George R. Martin, and I
forgive you for probably probably never gonnafinish the book series. Yeah, lazy
as hell. Yeah, I thinkhe just I don't know, man,
he's he's getting older and he's probablyhaving a good time going out and working
on other projects shows. And it'snot like they can go back and rewrite

(33:28):
the ending. I mean they could, he could, he could raise based
on the show. He's like,maybe I shouldn't do that because that's gonna
Maybe I shouldn't make the cripple theKing. Yeah, like who's done nothing
this entire season that just got pushedaround. Yeah, maybe I should take
a little more time to develop thefall of Denarios Targarian and not have her
switch in a single episode to anevil person, you know. Yeah,

(33:51):
that would have been great. Yeah, instead of fucking you know, an
entire story about the raid the guythat can look through the eyes of a
raven, Like that's helpful. Ohyeah. Game of Thrones, Game of
Thrones, Game of throws everybody.Everyone can tell we're super pumped about the
ending. But no, Yeah,Game of Thrones is great, man.

(34:14):
You know, when you can buildan entire franchise off I mean the buzz
that surrounded I feel like Twitter backwhen it was Twitter, you know x
formerly known as Twitter was you know, every time an episode of Game Thrones
came out, it was trending forlike a week. So that was great.
But you know, one of myfavorite twists movies, a movie that
I can watch over and over thatI think it just as an outstanding twist.

(34:38):
And you know, I think itgets a lot of praise because it's
featured in like Rick and Morty aboutlike you know that because it has a
twist. It's like calling you know, prestiging something just prestige. More like
just prestige, prestige you were,uh, yeah, it's the Prestige is

(34:58):
an amazing movie. Now that's agreat example of like a movie done well
with like a very tasteful but stillshocking twist. Yes, and one that
you there, there's a couple twistsin there. In fact, throughout the
movie there's a couple of but oneof them, one of them I don't
you can. It's it hints atit for both their seeds planted. I

(35:20):
think even in the very beginning, you see all the hats and you hear
Christian Bale watching closely. Yeah,it's a foreshadowing. And then Christian Bale
with his whole thing with the finger, you know, injury and not acting
like himself with his wife and herebeing confused. Yea, you know,
and then they continue. It's likesome days it's great and some days it's

(35:42):
bad because here we go. Hugespoilers ahead, folks, because this is
entire like, okay, we alreadypreface, so I don't even feel bad.
But the prestige, essentially, youhave two very you know, skillful
magicians in back in the at theeighteen sev right around the time of yeah,

(36:04):
top hat days, Yeah, tophat days. Electricity is a thing.
Nicola Tesla whenever he was alive.Yeah, Nicola whenever Nikola Tesla was
alive and inventing stuff. Uh.So you have these two gifted, gifted
magicians, but their rivals, andthey're constantly competing for the spotlight, right
and back then you know live showswere you know, we're the source of

(36:25):
the soul source of entertainment, andmagicians played a huge role. You know,
you had theater and you had magic. Those were the big things that
brought people together and you know, brought entertainment. So it was you know,
it was big to get your owntheater and your own show. So
these two magicians would constantly compete withwho has the best trick, and it
was all about deceiving and blackmail andstealing other people's tricks and before they could

(36:49):
come out. So you know, there's a lot of drama behind it,
and you start seeing that these magicianswould do anything to each other in order
to obtain the spotlight. So theystart, you know, trying to they
start trying to put each other away. They start to try to you know,
ruin the other person's set in orderto draw attention to their show,

(37:10):
and they you know, sabotaged theother person's tricks. Well, one guy
who was working for one man whowas helping him write his tricks. Christian
Bale's character had a wife and I'msorry, Hugh Jackman, it's Christian Bale
and human. Yeah, Hugh Jackman'scharacter had a wife and during a set
or a show, she was supposedto go in a water tank. It

(37:34):
was supposed to be locked her.She was her hands were bound, and
I guess Christian Bale tied the knotaround her hands, but it was supposed
to use a specific knot so shecould wiggle out of it. Yeah,
and then she agreed to it becauseshe wanted to be challenged. He's like,
I can do that kind of notHe's like, no, it's too
dangerous. But then her and ChristianBale kind of say, like, you
can do it. Go for it, Let's do it, you know.

(37:54):
Yeah, even though Hugh Jackman saidno, they ended up doing the trick,
and the wrong knot was tied allegedly, and she dies. She drowns
on stage in front of everyone, and Hugh Jackman is obviously so overcome with
grief that he hates and blames ChristianBale's character for the death of his beloved.
So he starts going down, youknow, an obsession of how to

(38:16):
ruin this guy. So, youknow, in one of Christian Bale's acts,
he has the catching. The bulletcatch is one of his his is
one of his tricks, and essentially, you know, he loads a little
flintlock pistol, but with his loadingrod or his jamming rod would catch the
ball, pull it out and placeit in his hand, so when the

(38:37):
gun would go off, it wouldbe a blank and the bullet would already
be in his hand and he wouldjust have to act like he caught in
boom bullet catch. But Hugh Jackman, being a musician, knowing all the
secrets, basically, he dressed upand he volunteered to shoot the pistol.
And he as he grabs a pistol, he realizes, oh my god,
this is Hugh Jackman with a mustacheon. And then yeah, he it's

(39:00):
an actual bullet and the thing andshoots him in the hand and he blows
his fingers apart. So now youhave like Christian Bale, magician, like
he does everything with his hands, and now he's missing, you know,
his finger because he shot it off. But anyways, now they go back
and forth. Hugh Jackman's back onthe scene. He's got an assistant that
falls in love with Christian Bale becausehe's set her. He sent him to
kind of spy on Christian Bale becausehe's doing these tricks. He's doing this

(39:22):
what teleporting man trick. Yeah,it's an amazing trick. He doesn't know
how he does it. He getsin one cabinet and then boom, he
comes out the other cabinet and it'sacross the room. It's very simple.
Christian Bale is very skilled, butHugh Jackman's all about the spectacle, right,
He's all about catching people's attention andgetting the adoration. So he sends
Scarlett Johansson to spy and fall inlove with Christian Bale, but she actually

(39:45):
does fall in love with him,so she backstabs Hugh Jackman halfway through.
And then Christian Bale is married again, so he kind of has a he
kind of has a side piece andyou know, he's got a daughter and
that's a big part of the youknow, the future is. So he
does this teleporting man. He's like, yes, he used a double.
The only way he can do itis if he uses a double. And

(40:06):
he's like, they look identical then, So anyway, Hugh Jackman steals the
trick, finds a double, buthis double is like a drunk and he's
like, you know, he looksexactly like him, but he's he's impossible
to work with. He's like someyou know, a true actor's actor where
he's just he can't work with theguy. But anyway, he does a
double and then he realizes that, you know, one day he steals his

(40:30):
trick. Christian Bale realizes that HughJackman truly stole his trick and he's like,
how does he do it? Becausehe improved it. He's like,
it looks a lot it looks alot different. And he goes kind of
backstage and when the guy falls throughthe floor and Hugh Jackman comes out to
the other side, the guy fallsinto water and it locks and he drowns,
and they find Christian Bale there andhe's like, killed you killed the

(40:52):
magician and he gets framed for murderand then he gets locked up and then
basically no, not huge, ChristianBale gets locked up. Christian Bay.
Yeah, Christian Bale gets that's whendid that miscommunicate that? I think?
So I'm sorry you're following. SoChristian Bale finds Hugh Jackman falls through the
floor into water. It locks andhe drowns, and Christian Bale's there trying

(41:15):
to get him out. And theyfind Christian Bale with the dead body and
they're like, you murdered him,and Christian Bale's frame for murder, and
then he comes to find out ChristianBale gets locked up, and then his
daughter's out there alone because his wifekills herself. She can't do it anymore.
So his daughter's all alone. Andhis daughter ends up getting adopted by

(41:36):
a guy, and she's like, who's the guy adopting her a different name?
And you come to find out it'sHugh Jackman. He's actually alive and
he's taking his daughter. And that'sthe ultimate revenge because the plot twist is
that, you know, one ofthe plot twists, the plot twists to
the plot twists. Yeah, there'sa couple. There's a couple. There's
a couple in the movie. Andit's like Hugh Jackman goes to Nikola Tesla,

(41:59):
who's like trying to invent something, and he asks him for a device
that can pretty much clone him.Yeah, and so that's how he gets
the doubles. So basically, HughJackman would step into this machine and disappear
and pop out the other side. What was actually happening was the trick or
the machine would clone him and thatclone would fall or no, he would

(42:22):
kill himself essentially every night. Yeah, and he would so he would fall
through the floor, Huge Jackman tofall through the floor, kill himself in
the in the tank, and theclone would come out on a you know,
on a rafter or something. Yeah, he'd put the advice. Yeah
yeah, And that's like the ultimatecommitment to the trick is literally killing yourself

(42:43):
every single night for spectacle. Yeah. And and basically that's kind of the
science part. And he finds outthat he's been doing it, and he
framed him for murder, and nowhe's going to continue doing the trick and
hide the machine. Now that hewas basically getting Christian Bale murdered or killed
for his death. And then atthe end you realize Christian Bale. They're

(43:04):
going down to the stage to getrid of it, and Christian Bale's there
and he's like, what how'd youget out of prison? And boom he
shoots Hugh Jackman and he's like,oh, dude, you got the wrong
guy. You funck boom block twist. You find that Christian Bale has been
using a double he is hiring.Yeah, he had a twin brother the
whole time that we never knew about. He never said anything, not even

(43:27):
his own wife. So like theother brother had to cut his own fingers
off. Yeah, that was themost part of the movie. Yeah,
yeah, he cut his own becausehe lost his fingers and he's like,
you have to do this to lookexactly like, so, yeah, he
takes like a wood chip and theythey took his finger off. And that's
why, like sometimes his wife wouldbe in love with him, or he
would be in love with his wifebecause that was actually Christian Bale, and

(43:49):
then the other times when they'd switch, you know, because he had Christian
Bale had an assistant who like, well, he was a big fat guy
and he put on a belly andlike a big beard and everything, and
he would take care of the daughter. But so when Christian Bale would dress
up as that guy, his twinbrother would be the one that was in
love with Scarlett Johansson and always fightingwith the wife. So it's a yeah,

(44:09):
it's so done. And I apologizefor the long winded explanation that you
know, is he lost and youprobably all lost. You gotta watch the
movie. It's great. It isgreat, and it's a it's one that
you really have to pay attention to. Obviously, Christopher Nolan when he was
still calming every every movie. Idon't think Christopher Nolan makes bad movies.
This is one of his, oneof my favorites of his because there's a

(44:32):
little bit. There's misdirection. Theold idea is that what there's the there's
like the presentation, I forget whatthe call. There's three steps to a
magic trick, and uh, there'sthe misdirection. Yeah, yeah, there's
the turn and then the prestige isthe reveal. So there's one step,
there's that I forget. The secondstep which is called the turn, and

(44:52):
that's when there's like you see somethingbut it's not really what you think the
pledge, So you have the pledge, the turn, and then the pristige.
Yeah, there you go. It'sit's the reveal at the end.
So the whole movie has this themeof like you're not seeing what you're actually
seeing, Like he's showing you somethingbut you you know, it's not what

(45:12):
you think it is. And sothe whole movie is full of that,
layer by layer by layer. ChristianBale does it, Hugh Jackman does it,
and then Christopher Nolan does it byshowing us these two stories, uh
you know in tanneb with one anotherSo if you haven't seen The Prestige,
sorry, we just spoiled it foryou, but you should still watch it
because there's a lot more than theexplanation that we just gave you. You
know, it's and then yeah, fuck with us the whole time. Yeah.

(45:36):
Plus it's got a killer cast.Yeah, Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman,
Michael kaine'es in, it's Scarlett Johansson. Yeah, like you have.
It's a killer cast of people.I'm surprised it's only got a seventy seven
percent of Rotten Tomatoes. I don'tagree with that. I don't agree with
when the just Watch score is ninetyseven percent. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's like an audience score is wayhigher. But yeah, the Prestige

(45:59):
is awesome. You know, youcan't talk about a plot twist without having
that one. So go watch itif you haven't seen it and you're not
ruined by my explanation. Okay,I know we're running a long on time,
but I have to talk about somevideo game plot twists because they're so
well done that they stick with youand they are part of why you remember
a game and also want to goback and play a game. I guess

(46:21):
that's kind of the downfall of aplot twist is once you see it once,
you can't see it for the firsttime ever again. And so Star
Wars Nights of the Old Republic hasone of the greatest, in my opinion,
one of the greatest video game plottwists in history, because the whole
time it takes place in the Oldrepublics of thousands of years before the events
of the movies that we know. You are playing a character who doesn't has

(46:46):
lost their memory, and they're tryingto be they're trying to find out who
they are and what's going on,and the whole time you know that the
events that have been set off inthe game. The bad guy, the
antagonist is Darth Revin, and he'sa very mysterious figure, and he's got
cool a cool mask that he wears, and he's got his assistant I forget
the guy with the the mechanical jaw. But so those are the antagonists of

(47:12):
the movie, and you're going throughand you're playing and Nazero Republic has a
great morality scale, so you caneither go more towards the light side and
the dark side, and then youcan influence the characters around you a lah
mass effect to either be light ordark, depending on what their moral compass
is. But the big reveal asyou get closer and closer to the end
of the game is that you areDarth Reven. Uh. There's a flashback

(47:37):
scene where it's revealed that you areDarth Reven. And then Darth Reven was
captured and they erased his memory toI forget what the the ultimate you know,
plot point was, but to tryto you know, get you to
turn good or whatever, and thenyou can you can have a you make
a choice about whether or not youactually want to go back to being Darth
Reven or if you want to leavethat life behind and become actually a good

(48:00):
Jedi. So that it's it's sowell done because Darth Revan in the first
game is built up to be sucha horrible guy, and you hear about
all the things that he's done andwho he's influenced and how he's this great
figure on the dark side, theSith side, and then to find out
that it's that it's you. Man. The way that they do it,
it's just it's, man, it'sso great, it's it left it gave

(48:22):
me, gave me chills when Iwhen I did it, and everybody talked
to on on on stream when wetalk about great games, it always comes
up, and we always lament thefact that they're not going to do a
remaster. They were going to workon a remaster of Kotor of Knights of
the Old Republic, but I thinkit fell through. I think the either
the studio got bought up or theycanceled it or something like that in an

(48:43):
acquisition. But anyway, Darth Reverendreveal Nightsville Republic and then honorable mentions.
Uh, the main player's identity inBioShock one, you never know who he
is, but it's hinted at throughoutthe entire game that he's at and then
then later on you find out he'sactually a created clone or something that was
sent in to bring Andrew Ryan down. And he's been manipulated by another character

(49:07):
the entire time with code words likewould you kindly, and he's been leading
him and manipulating him to kill AndrewRyan. And then at the end he
has a choice to either take hisown do a good path or do a
bad path. You know. BioShockthree has a great twist. Brooklyn and
Comstock are the same person called DunionModel Warfare two. General Shepherd betrays the
team and kills Roach and ghost Shadow. The Colossus, the main character has

(49:29):
been working for a demon the entiretime. He's been working for a bad
guy the entire time. And thenif you haven't played, oh Dead Space,
Isaac hallucinating his dead wife, youdon't find out to the end.
And then speck ops the line.If you've never played, speck ops the
line, let me ask you todo yourself a favor and play it.
Not so much for the gameplay. The gameplay is kind of but the story

(49:50):
in it, which Karen, youknow, we never really we were gonna
work on a video Yeah. Yeah. We learned from Gameology that maybe you
should do a little bit of researchbefore you watch him video game, you
know, yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, we did that spec Ops
the line for Gamology, and wewere totally wrong about the scenes that they
gave us because we didn't realize thatit shows these all these guys they're burned
by white fosterphors, and we're like, oh, we should we we'd kill

(50:13):
those guys, like, oh,those are American soldiers that did that,
you know, And so we hadno context. I went and played speck
Ops the Line, and we hadintended at one time to do a video
on it ourselves, but just didn'twork out. But I read, I
watched a bunch of videos on it, played the game myself, and it's
actually one of the one of thebetter plot twists in video games where essentially

(50:37):
the antagonist Colonel Conrad you know whatactually for this one, I'm not gonna
say it, because I really wouldlike people to play this. If you're
into military games, if you're intokind of psychological trauma and PTSD stories that
are really well done and well wellpresented in a narrative form, spec Ops
the line, Go watch that. But that's it for my my my onble

(51:00):
mentions camera, if you have anymore before we move on to the game
section, I guess honorable mentions thatyou know touched me were obviously, you
know, called in for video gameworld Call of Duty Modern Warfare two with
the General Shepherd, the trays youknow, kills ghosts. That one was
hard, and then also Call ofDuty Black Ops. You know obviously Mason

(51:22):
you're being brainwashed and programmed and yeah, and then has been dead the other
I mean resin has been dead theentire time, you're just imagining him.
So that one, that was areally cool twist for video games. But
that's pretty much just looking at thelist here and that that's the main one

(51:42):
I would like to talk about otherthan American Psycho. Uh, that had
really good twist at the end.And that's just a classic movie. Talk
about movies that you quote all thetime during military service. Do you know
how many times I've said I needto return some videotapes in my life?
Too many? Too many? Yep? But uh but yeah, no,
that's that's it for me. Andall we got left now is our game.

(52:07):
Yep. That's it, man,and I have the game for you.
This game will be called a completelynormal plot twist. I'm going to
ask you three multiple choice questions, but plot twist, they may not be
about what you think. So Cameron, short and sweet. Three questions,

(52:27):
multiple choice. First one, herewe go. In m Night Shayamalan's The
Sixth Sense, it is revealed thatBruce Willis's character is killed early on by
an assailant in his home. Whoplayed the assailant? Plot twist? What
city does the movie take place in? Okay? So the city is it

(52:50):
multiple choice? You said, yeah, is it a Chicago, b Boston
or c Philadelphia. I'm gonna sayI think it's in Chicago. Uh wait,
is Chicago philadelph year of Boston.I don't think it takes Actually it's
on the East Coast because I rememberthat it's very cold, so they're all
bundled up. That could be anywaythose Yeah, that could be any of

(53:10):
those. Though Philly, I don'tknow. Man. Mmm, No,
I'm not gonna say Chicago. Repeal, It's either Philly or Boston. I'm
just gonna say, let's go Philly. I feel like they're Philly folk.

(53:35):
Correct, Cameron, That is true. Most of m Night Scheimalan's movies take
place in and around the Philadelphia area. Excuse me because he's from Philadelphia,
so most of yeah, most ofyour earlier movies especially, but good Cameron,
he got one for one next one. In the movie Fight Club,
we find out that Ed Norton wasTyler Jordan all along and that Project Mayhem

(53:58):
was his creation. What is thename of the street? What is the
name of the street the house islocated? Plot twist? What is Ed
Norton's the narrator's job? In thebeginning of the movie. Can you repeat
the question you broke up a littlebit. I couldn't get you. Oh
on, okay, go for it. All right, the actual question,

(54:20):
I'll get to the post plot twistquestion. What was ed Norton's job in
the beginning of the movie? EdNorton's job in the beginning of the movie?
All right, what are the whatare the options? A he was
a recall coordinator, B insurance adjusteror C accountant? Ooh, I believe?

(54:43):
Oh no, I always you knowEdward Norton. Did he sell insurance
or was he an accountant? Iknow he worked in an office, yeah,
corner flower believe. But for somereason I always get a uh fight
club and wanted confused. Oh yeah, James McKay because they're literally the same

(55:09):
character development. Yeah, like likeyou have a guy that's just like kind
of a nobody and then he finallylike experienced and he meets a person they
change him into like a crazy individual. Yeah, and like, but isn't
does he hit his boss with thekeyboard or is that in wanted? That's
been wanted in that's wanted? He'san accountant? Club? He beats himself

(55:30):
up in order to to play.Oh, yeah, he beats himself to
a bloody pull in front of theguy. Yeah, he keeps like punching
him in the face. So I'mgonna say he sells insurance recall coordinator,
adjusted, insurance adjuster, or accounted. I think he's an insurance adjuster in
that movie plot twist, he isnot an insurance adjuster. He is a
recall coordinator. Remember in the Vienna, he talks about the numbers that are

(55:52):
required to trigger a recall. Soit doesn't matter how many people. It
only matters if that if that numberof uh failed like airbags or fire suppression
systems. Like he there's the scenewhere he's looking at the burnt out car
and you can see the fat burnedinto the seats, and so that he
is out there playing the numbers withpeople's lives, basically determining whether or not

(56:15):
a recall should be triggered on aproduct. Okay, it travels. It's
been a while since I've seen FightClub, so I'll take that l go
watch it again, all right, man, We got one more. In
Dead Space the video game, youfind out that Isaac was hallucinating his dead
wife. The entire time. Whatis it dead dead Wife supplot twist.

(56:38):
What's the name of the ship thegame takes place on. Is it A
the USG Issue, Mora B theumb Hattori or see the USG Minicawa.
I think it's A because since youmentioned you've talked about Dead Space before,
and I think that name sounds themost familiar. It's one of my favorite
games. You are correct, Camon, it is the USG Issue Morah.

(57:00):
Dead Space one of the one ofthe greatest horror games ever made, with
a great plot twist that Isaac isjust as crazy as everybody else. He's
being manipulated by the marker and hethinks he's seen his wife the entire time.
Actually, in the remake, Ithink they improved upon the storyline because
in the original he was hallucinating hiswife and she just wasn't there, nothing
was happening. But yeah, inthe remake, he was hallucinating, he

(57:24):
was seeing somebody else. They werehe was actually interacting with somebody, but
he saw his wife and then theysaw their lover, and it's revealed later
on that they were both being manipulatedand seeing a different person, so that
was an actual person. He wasinteracting with just not his wife, right,
which I thought was an improvement. So nerd out there? Oh good

(57:45):
man? Is that all? Isthat all the questions? That's all the
questions? Man? Now two hadthree in a rewatch of Fight Globe.
That's right. Yeah, well Cameron, that is it. I I it's
not a plot twist to say thatI really enjoyed this episode. It's always
fun to rehash things that are memorable, and the best plot twists are stick
