Welcome back to another episodes where we talk exclusively about games and gaming. It’s not secret that gaming is one of the biggest if not THE biggest hobbies out there. It’s big business. It’s in the culture and it’s definitely in the military. We’ve done episodes dealing with video games in seasons one and two. But let’s be honest, what true nerd is ever finished talking about video games. Izzy and Cam cover a lot of ground in this one, including the Halo franchise, 6 Days in Fallujah, Ready or Not, and much much more.

The game for this episode is “Video Game Excitement Super Fan Trivia Okay!” A true test of Izzy's nerdiness.

(00:08):
In time, in time, there'sa gut fu to make it through.
We had a video game episode previously, and as we have often said,
uh one one episode for a lotof these subjects is not enough. So

(00:31):
today, folks, we're gonna begetting into part two of our video game
Extravaganza. We've spoken about many differentfranchises and many different games before, mostly
in the in the war games andmilitary genres. Today we're gonna do a
little bit more of that. We'lltalk about some some more recent games and
some re releases and stuff or I'mthinking Freddie or not one point zero.

(00:54):
But and then we'll also talking aboutsome non military tactic pigans because Cameron,
you know, when you were inas well as when I was in,
video games is a big part ofmilitary life. Absolutely, you're right about
that, Isy, I mean, the world, just like we mentioned on
the podcast all the time, theworld is constantly changing the world is constantly
evolving, and that is no youknow, that's no excuse for video games

(01:18):
not to move forward as well.So you know, in that time that
we've done, I mean, inthis podcast in general, we've talked a
lot about video games, So Imean there's been some some recent ones like
you said that we definitely want todive into and talk about. And I
know you know, with your continuationof your Twitch channel, I'm sure you've
got some really cool exposure. I'mstill the same as I started this podcast

(01:40):
off, where I'm like, oh, I'll play video game every now and
then, but when I it's weird. I am so strange when it comes
to video games because like, Ihave my Xbox now and that's like probably
the biggest addition to it, yep. But when I play my Xbox,
I play video games that I playedyears ago, and I do not branch
out to new games. For somereason, I just like dick with what
I like. And I don't knowwhy, because it was so depressing,

(02:04):
I'll tell you, and I thinkif we wanted to it was. I'm
not being dramatic. It was superdepressing because like, I love Halo for
some reason, even I watched theextremely disappointment disappointing Paramount version of the Halo
series. It was not good. The alternate reality that calls itself Halo,

(02:24):
Yeah, exactly, and like, and I watched it and I'm like,
this sucks. You know, Iwant I want more from Halo. So
I'm like, you know what,I was like, what I have game
Pass? So they the entire masterChief collection on game Pass. So I
was like, whoa, all right, let's go back to my roots.
So like I played Halo Reach inits entirety, I played Halo three in

(02:46):
its entirety the best, Yes,and uh and I was like, yeah,
this is it, this is hey, this is the Halo. But
then I'm like, you know what, let's let's really go back to the
old days and go to the goto the Gulag. And so I tried
signing into the multiplayer and like I'msitting there hours in the looking for hours
nobody plays. Yeah, I'm likeI felt for the first time of my

(03:08):
life. I felt like a boomer. I was like, these kids and
they're new games. This is youknow when old people are like, that's
not music. This is music. You don't know what it was like for
us back in the day. Yeah, dial up all this rap music music.
That was me literally playing the videogame. And I'm like, these

(03:30):
new games, those are games. This is a game. You can't know
what you're talking about. Yeah, but yeah, No, for the Halo
series, I think is one ofthe most legendary game franchises to ever be
released. Absolutely, man, Yeahit is. Yeah, let's talk about
that. Actually, we because wegot them all kind of listed here.
Uh and and we've we've mentioned obviouslywe've mentioned Halo in some capacity in past

(03:53):
episodes. But I was looking atour particular our video game episode, particularly
with season two. We had avideo game episode, and then we talked
about oh no. Season one wasthe all gaming episodes, and then games
from season two ranking mill oh rank. We ranked our military games, but

(04:13):
Halo in depth is something we haven'treally done. I played through almost the
entire franchise on stream, I thinkover the course of last year because I
have the Xbox Game Pass as well. The Master Chief collection is on there,
and so I tried to play themin chronological orders. So I started
with Reach, then did Combat Hityou know, Combat Evolved two, three,

(04:34):
four, and five. I kindof skipped over. I got about
an hour into it and I waslike, you know what, let's just
go to Infinite. So I playedInfinite those last one. Yeah, but
I got to play but never playedHalo Wars those kind of with real time
strategy kind of thing. Yeah,so those are like literally Halo's version of
StarCraft. Yeah. Yeah, andthey're a lot of fun. I remember

(04:55):
when they, like when Halo Warsfirst came out, they had like the
free trial, you know in Xboxthree six I used to do like free
trials for video games so you couldplay like the beta version before it ever
came out, Like they had thefree trial for Halo Wars. And you
know, as a kid, sixtydollars for a video game is unrealistic.
Yeah, you know, that's that'spushing it. So I played Halo Wars

(05:18):
and like, yeah, it's alot of fun. It's basically just StarCraft,
but with you know, the floodor you can be Covenant, you
could be usn C. Yeah,no, it's a good game, but
uh yeah, it's different. ButI respect it because in the Halo franchise,
you know, you don't just havelike the running gun, you know,
first person shooters. They also havea little bit of variety in there

(05:40):
that you could choose from, whichI was like, oh, that's cool.
What was it like playing through HaloReach for you? Because I was
very touched by the story of it. Everybody in my chat was very excited
because for a lot of them,a lot of younger players especially. That's
like a really powerful gaming moment tolay through when you're you know, ten,

(06:00):
eleven, twelve or whatever, andyou know what's gonna happen, you
know the lore of what's gonna happen, and you play through it anyway,
So there's this kind of the wholeplay through, there was this kind of
there's kind of cloud of tragedy thatwas hanging over everything. No matter what
you did, you knew that inthe end that they were all gonna know.

(06:21):
Yeah, they were all parish, you know which. Yeah, So
what was that like? Playing throughHalo Reach again? You know, it
was really funny because I don't thinkyou understand it when you're a kid,
and like like you're just playing through, you're skipping through all the stories.
But like now I replayed it andI did not skip through one cinematic sequence

(06:42):
because it's like I actually care whathappens. Yeah, I actually care what
happens to these fuckers, even thoughI know what's going on. But I
like, I don't know if Ijust completely forgot, but like it was
touching, It was heartbreaking, andI think that was like I don't know
why we didn't mention this game whenwe had our like, oh g self
sacrifice episode. Oh, you're right, because the entire campaign, the entire

(07:04):
team except for Cat who just getsdomed, which I was super disappointed because
like, this armor is supposed tostop everything, and yeah, well there
was didn't. Wasn't it something thatwas like an emp at that point,
at that particular point that oh Ididn't know look out their shields. Yeah,
because I said the same that Iremember all my playthrough. Somebody in

(07:26):
chat was like, I was like, wait, she just got shot in
the head. They're like, ohyeah, there's some sort of like electric
Yeah, there was an explosion andthey're like took out their shields and that's
why she was able to get justjust just a armor, you know.
Roh Okay, so that makes sense. But yeah, okay, but yeah,
most of the people, you know, most of the guys, it's
all self sacrifice. Yeah, andthey're just like and they're totally cool with

(07:49):
it, and they all know, like they're like, yeah, I love
when George, like the big guy, he's the first to go because he
has that. You know, they'retrying to blow up the ship and one
of them has to stay behind, and you're, uh, you know what
is what are their code names? It's man yeah something six, Yeah,
it's gonna come. It's not nomadbut noble, noble six. And he's

(08:11):
a noble team. Yeah, nobleteam. And he just like picks you
up and throws you out into spaceand you're and he's just like get out
of here, and he just likekills himself and you're like oh, and
then everyone's like boom. I didn'trealize that the really cool guy with the
skull painted over his helmet, what'shis name again? I totally forgot.

(08:33):
Yeah, Jorge, Emil, June, Emil, Catherine and Carter. Yeah,
I didn't know E meals from thestreets growing up because he has like
a super urban voice. I mean, you never see these guys face gwarging
cat, you don't see a Meal'sface. But he's like, hey,
yo, man, what's up bro. I was like, I never realized
that a meals from the streets.Like I didn't get it. But yeah,

(08:56):
there was so much in Reach thatI just didn't see or didn't pick
up when I was a kid.But yeah, amazing, you know,
amazing campaign, and it just Ididn't realize when you said that that's the
first in the order, right chronologically. Yeah, it's super weird because like
if you compare like Halo Combat evolveto like Reach, it's night and day,

(09:18):
you know. Yeah, yeah, with the armor and the advances and
the different weapons systems, like youwould think when it was like, you
wouldn't think that was the first one. But yeah, what'd you think playing
I mean, you said you playedthrough them all. You probably through more
than me. What did you thinkabout them? Like how they connected?
Were they all good? Well?I loved you know, I remember playing

(09:39):
Halo the first one. Sorry,Coffee, I remember playing through Halo the
first one, and it starts withthem it's just right after the fall of
Reach, like and they're trying toget away from the Covenant. I always
liked it when stories start in themiddle of in the middle of the story,

(10:01):
essentially like you you the audience comesin, this is the beginning for
them, but they don't realize thatstuff has already been happening. So I
credit the writers in the very beginningfor having all this backstory because they could
just start it when they started.Yeah, but it's in the middle of
the conflict and so going back toReach was was a lot of fun.

(10:24):
Like I love that last the laststage with Noble six where it's just says
survive, that's your objective. Yeah, as long as you can, and
it's never gonna end. They're alwaysgoing to keep coming at you, and
it's just a way to like endthe game and to show that they fought
to the last man, you know. Yeah. Did you ever see the
the little the little camera easter eggat the very lat on the very not

(10:46):
the last stage where you're surviving, but the one before that where you are
finally the ship is there that endsup being the ship in Halo one and
you have to load something onto itor something like that. Oh, yeah,
it's the it's the Kortana program andso it's loading on and if you
if it's the cameras like looking atthe thing, it's from inside the ship
and and you see the whatever modulecoming in and if you push the camera

(11:09):
to the right, you'll see MasterChief in his little chamber right there.
Oh really, no, I didn'teven know you could control the cameras.
Yeah, exactly. Somebody had to. Well, so that's that's one of
the advantages of streaming a game live, especially an older one where people have
played it before. They're like,oh, do this do this? I'm
like what, And so I didit and I saw them like just for
a brief second's like a little easteregg. Oh wow, that's crazy.

(11:31):
I never I never realized. Yeah, yeah, but I I can see
why those games reach and then one, two, and three are like the
top the top games for everybody becausethe story hits its peak, especially the
heart of that story. The heartof Halo is master Chief and Kurtana.
Yeah, their relationship. Yeah,And that's why everything after that kind of

(11:56):
just I think didn't seem to riseto the to the power of storytelling because
you know, it's it's master Chiefand Cortana. Their relationship is the heart
of a motorcycle in the freeway. It's the heart of uh right next to
the freeway. But it's the heartof the story. And so I really
liked Halo. Uh Halo ods Twas fun. It was like this weird

(12:18):
kind of almost like the music isvery like loungey. It's like a lot
of horns and like trumpets. Yeah, was it me or was odst Actually
like way more challenging, very challenging, super challenging because you're an ODST.
You're not a Spartan. You're nota spartan. So the Shield, you
know, yeah, no I playedit. I'm like, what do you

(12:39):
mean? I have to like findwhere I'm going, like nobody's helping me.
I was like, this sucks,Like I get so frustrated, Like
I like, I'm gonna go offon a tangent right now. So I
when I first played Skyrim, Iturned it off after like two hours because
I was literally like what the fuckdo I? I don't know, Like

(13:01):
I get way too much anxiety andlike just free roam open world things because
I don't know what to do.I need an objective. I need somebody
to tell me, like with alittle arrow like go here. Yeah,
and ODST was like I was like, oh my god, like where is
this guy? Like I don't know, I didn't know what to do,
and they're like you got to checkcheck your comms, check your everything.

(13:24):
And I'm like, I'm not playingthis video game for me to stress out,
you know, like I'm playing thisvideo game for me to enjoy it,
not like literally act like I'm atwork right now. Yeah. So
yeah, ods T was difficult. But it was fun being like seeing it
from the perspective of like that theregular people in a not like the regular
people, but like not the spartans. Yeah, it's like because it's supposed

(13:46):
to take place, I think betweentwo and three are partly into two and
then just before three or something likethat, because it's when when Master Chief
I think he leaves and they're goingto do a big drop or whatever or
something like that. They drop inand he's not. Yeah, so you
guys can correct me on that inthe comments. Actually, yeah, right,
but yeah, man, Halo,it's it's interesting. I don't know

(14:09):
what they're gonna do next Halo.If it was fun because it is that
kind of open world. You cango out, you can do anything,
go anywhere you want. Yeah.Yeah, and you've got what weapon which
is like Kortana two point zero orwhatever. But it's interesting. I I
I don't know if they're done withit, if they're done with the franchise,
or if they're gonna come out withsomething else. But I don't know.
I almost feel like, I knownobody ever wants to do this,

(14:31):
but I almost feel like they shouldjust let it rest, Let's just let
it be let it be those games, go on, make other video games.
Let Halo be what it was.Uh, and then I mean the
just pretend that the TV show doesn'texist. I don't know, man,
I saw trailer Season two and I'mso angry. Wait, there's a season
two Season two coming out. Man, I'm surprised they like green lit that

(14:54):
after the after everything, you know, I mean, maybe we're living in
a bubble and it's actually one ofthe most popular shows of all time and
we just we just hate it,you know. Yeah, But they do
this thing in the trailer and it'sI get it because it's very powerful and
it's a very strong storytelling device, and they did it with I think Halo

(15:15):
three, but they make it.There's a guy given a speech and it's
this very inspirational speech about listen, you're anybody that stays here, you're not
gonna make it, but we're gonnagive everybody after us, everybody, every
moment we defend is a chance forsomebody else to live and to go,
and so you're gonna be remembered. It's really inspirational speech, and I hate
that it's emotional manipulation because I don'twant to watch that show, and I

(15:39):
know that they're like they released itfor free on I think it like on
YouTube. You can watch the firstseason for free right now. Yeah,
you know how many times they don'tplay the Halo song in the first season,
like they're not playing it at all. They play it's like it suddenly
plays and it's like a different version. Yeah, And I'm like, where
is is the Halo song? Youknow, it's like not it should like

(16:03):
even the one where they're like doingstuff and it's like, yeah, played
that, Yeah, it would havebeen over. But no, it's yeah,
it's bad. It's yeah, we'vewe've gone. I think in modern
day adaptations, we've gone. Ithink the the temptation, you know,
the balance is always honoring the sourcematerial and doing something new, doing something

(16:25):
Yeah, I think we've gone alittle bit too far in the doing something
new or doing your own thing, and less in the in the honoring the
source material. That's kind of mygeneral assessment. We'll talk about a little
bit about if we have time.We have some adaptations at the end of
the episode that we can talk about, but uh, yeah, not gonna
be not gonna be watching Halo seasontwo. You guys watch everybody watches it.
Let me know, let us knowhow it is, get a hold

(16:47):
of us. Not interested, I'mnot interested. But I think we spend
enough time talking about Halo because nowI'm just getting absolutely triggered. I'm sorry
real quick before we switch. Arbitermost loyal character in I think video game
history. Really Oh yeah, Ididn't realize. He starts out hating humanity

(17:11):
and hating master Chief, and thenhe gets portrayed by his by the Covenant,
and then he ends up having awhole turn you know. Yeah,
yeah, no at the end ofHalo three, when you're like running out
of the flood and you're like, you know, you're trying to destroy that
building and you're running out and youjust hear Cortana go like, I'm picking
up a I'm picking up a lifeform sequence and she's like, I don't
know who would be crazy enough tocome in here, And then you just

(17:33):
turn the corner and Arbiter's like fightingto come save you, and I was
just like, yeah, I lostit, Like you know, it was
I was like, wow, Iwas dude, so good, so man.
I think he did the voice ofuh Arbiter. Keith David great voice
actor. Man, yeah, greatvoice actor. But okay, now we
can move on. I just hadto say Arbiter most loyal character, like

(17:55):
best if you're gonna have a friend, you want a friend like the Arbiter.
Yeah, yeah, man, Imean maybe we should have We should
definitely have an episode on Loyalty aboutthe most loyal characters. And you can
put Arbiter in there if you there, you go, Okay, now you
can. Let's you talk about somethingbecause I want to talk about I know,
I like it. I like seeingyou excited. Let's talk about Six

(18:18):
Days in Fallujah. Okay. Thatis a game that it actually started its
development a long time ago, andthen there was a bunch of controversy because
it's based on the Second Battle ofFallujah, a real world event, and
it got so controversial. I thinkthe initial company dropped it, and then
another company picked it up and completedit. It released this year, like

(18:41):
I guess you could say early release, and then they had a download to
you know, some additional stuff thatthey added to it, so it's still
not the full game that I havea single player campaign. They have just
like maybe five or six missions, and then they have kind of a I
forget what they call it, butyou can set the mission parameters to easier
heard have you know, daytime ornight time kinds of weather changes, that

(19:03):
kind of stuff. I've been playingit a little bit on Fridays on stream,
going back and forth between that andanother one we'll talk about Ready or
not. But six Days of Fallujah. Uh, it's it's the thing about
this game. There's a lot oftactical shooters, so that you got ready
or not grounds here a ground branch, zero hour, six days in Fallujah.
The thing about this one is veryunforgiving, very challenging, and very

(19:26):
unforgiving. Yeah, you you reallyhave to be on your toes. And
even then, the way that youdie, there's no like health or anything.
You can get wounded and it'll giveyou a chance to patch yourself up
or whatever. But if you getif you get domed, if you get
shot in the head, it justgoes black and that's it. That's cool.
Yeah, which is a little chillingbecause I'm sure, you know,

(19:48):
not speaking from experience, of course, but I'm sure that's what it would
be like if you got shot.Yeah, you just got that, I'm
sure. Yeah, I'm sure youcan't have like a consultant that was like,
you know, I got shot inthe hand and everything you just went
black. Yeah, and they're likethe video game, you know, yep,
yep, yeah, no, butI would assume it's just lights out.
Yeah, yeah, me too.And that's definitely existence. Yeah,
that's definitely a part of the game. You got four players on this one.

(20:11):
You can do four players max onlineonline co op. You have different
different you have different riflemen, grenadierkind of the standard I think Marine squad
or the Marine fire team kind ofthing. All the levels are procedurally generated,
so even if you do the samekinds of mission like a rescue mission
or a stop the sniper mission orfind the mortar dugout mission, the layout

(20:36):
of all of the of the levelwill change. It's just random every time.
That's kind of how they did it. But but it's fun. It's
still got a long way to goin terms of development. Got to add
more missions. A single player campaignwould be fun. Uh maybe, I
don't know, maybe a little more. They got the mission variability, which
I definitely need to play with becauseit's a little frustrating, like how you

(20:57):
could just you go on along andjust and mortar right in front of you.
Dead did Yeah, I guess that'skind of because they really wanted to
be respectful of the people and andthe civilians that were there. They interviewed
Iraqi civilians that were there, andthey tried to get that real world experience.
So they really are they're really areleaning into that aspect of it.

(21:17):
But six days in Fallujah. I'dbe interested in any other military guy's assessment
of this because it's really interesting.I I'm more on the nerdy, more
on the kind of fantasy, scifi nerdy side of things. So people,
when you know, you get alot like, oh, you're a
military guy, do you play Callof Duty? Do you play you know,

(21:37):
Battlefield? And it's like, no, I play balders Gate three,
you know. But I'd be interestedin what other military people think about this
particular one because oh god, sorry, doing too many things at once.
Yeah, yeah, man, Becauseit's really intense. It's a really intense
gameplay experience. So let me askyou what what's Because I haven't played it

(22:00):
yet. I mean I sit inthe background and I see because I follow
a lot of gamers, and youknow, I've seen from our experience in
gameology like video games find me.Yes, yeah, so what is this?
Was it PC only six days oris it only Okay, so that's
why I haven't played it because Idon't have a PC. Yeah, so

(22:22):
okay, that makes sense. Butbut yeah, no, I definitely want
to check it out because it thisgame has been like out there but not
playable for a long time. Yeah, I got a I got I did
a little video back when I wastrying to make you know, military game
videos on my personal channel on myhappy self. I did like a little

(22:44):
six minute video on some of thefeatures, you know. Yeah, and
I tried to get in on that, and they gave me and and got
to their credit, they gave me. I got a key, a free
Steam key for it. I gota couple extra ones that I gave out
to my community. So they definitelylike to gauge with the six Days in
Fallujah community. But yeah, niceman, nice. Well you mentioned another

(23:07):
one you were playing, Ready orNot. I mean it's not a newer
game, but you said one point. Oh yeah, so Ready or Not
another tactical shooter, only this timeyou're playing the role of a swat team,
so it's like city kind of environments, and they released their one point
zero version in twenty twenty three,so it was early release and they had

(23:29):
a lot of great stuff where they'vebeen building it up for years, for
a couple of years actually, andnow this is the official like this is
the game, you know, andthen everything after this it will be in
addition to But the one point oh, the full release version came out and
it's really good. They did abig drop and a big update for it
where they added all sorts of greatfeatures. You can, like the the

(23:52):
kind of police station that you're atis fully built out, you know,
and it looks great. You gotall sorts of different areas you can go
to for changing your equipment and getyour miss and briefs and choosing your missions
and whatnot. You can do upto five people, I think on this
one, which is which is fun? The more the merrier, I say,
yeah, that's probably like ground BranchGround Branch. You can do up
to eight people, which is supercool. But I would playing I play
this on Fridays occasionally. Shout outto Arianna Foxton and her crew on Twitch.

(24:17):
But this one's good because it's urbanstuff, right, so you're going
into like crack houses and there's likecrazy cracked out drug dealers, or you
got like a radical like militiaman kindof thing like either out in the woods,
or there's like there's one where it'san apartment building. You gotta room
clear down hallways and apartments, andthey even have one. I haven't played

(24:38):
this one yet, but there's actuallya college shooting, like a school shooter,
like a school shooter scenario, shootersrunning. Yeah, so I'm interested
to I respect them for making that. I said that in my in one
of the first formations when it wascoming out that week, I said,
I respect him for doing something likethat because you know, it's all aspects

(25:00):
of policing. Yeah, yeah, exactly, And it's definitely something that's Yeah,
it's in the consciousness. It's somethingthat has happened. It's very widely
publicized when it does happen. Uhand uh yeah, no area is like
it's safe. So kudos to them. It's a yeah. But it's a
lot of fun, ready or not. I would say out of all the
tactical shooters, that's my favorite rightnow that I'm playing through. And it

(25:22):
all depends on who you play with, you know what. I mean,
yeah, I remember when we playedon Gameology with uh, who are we
playing with? We were? Ijust remember I kept dying a bunch because
like, Ready or Not not aCall of Duty shooter, No, it
is. It is a you betteruse tactics here. Yeah, it's more

(25:44):
methodical, Yeah, extremely deliberate typeof shooter. So I think I like
those games though, because like itgives you a sense of reality and it
actually in your mind you're doing likemental repetitions of like what you would actually
do. Yeah. Uh, butI was just playing it like Call of
Duty because it's like, oh,video game, what's the worst that can
happen to? Boom? I justget schwhacked by some coked out hooker and

(26:04):
I'm like, oh my god.Yeah I remember playing that. But yeah,
I haven't messed with the new version. It's that's that's a PC only
game too, right, Yeah,I think Rider or Not it's PC only.
Hopefully now that they've released the onepoint zero version, maybe it'll be
coming out on Oh it's yeah, right or Not most likely come to consoles

(26:27):
twenty twenty four. Okay, somaybe we can get some action in there
once once comes out for Xbox Man. Maybe you can get it. Yeah,
I'm starting to grow in my twitchagain. Yeah. Yeah, get
in there and bust down some youknow, stopping frisks, some hookers or
some drug dealers, nip tie someyeah, ziptizes, some fundamentalists or something.

(26:48):
By the way, uh, speakingof just a little just a little
side note, folks, if youwant to catch us at other places,
Cameron does have a twitch stream, what does it? Kick God cam all
one. Yep, you can findme on Twitch at kick Good Caam.
I'm not that active, but maybein twenty twenty four we might be,
so, I mean, it doesn'thurt the follow Yeah, yeah, And

(27:11):
of course I've been active. I'vebeen on Twitch for was going on my
third year. But you can findme at my happy Self twitch dot tv,
slash my Happy Self. And thenalso, folks, we got extra
content for you want to make mentionof that now that we're kind of in
the midpoint of the episode, ButFirst Formation on our YouTube channel for the
pop Culture Field Manual podcast, goto First Formation or go to pop Culture
Field Manual Podcast. And then FirstFormation is my little kind of mini episode

(27:36):
where I talk about things that I'mexcited for in the coming week, and
then Cameron has a wonderful show calledThe Debrief where he breaks down some military
news and gives his expert advice experton everything going on. It's a fun
show, honestly, it's really funto make. Yeah, yeah, because
a lot of it is like it'sit's big news articles, it's big news

(27:59):
story and like I've covered some somepretty you know, pretty significant events going
on to the military, and it'sfun to kind of poke at it from
like a you know, a lightheartedissue or a lighthearted perspective. But most
of my opinions are jokes. Soif you if you think I'm serious,
I'm sorry. Yeah, it's true. Man. And also, if you're

(28:23):
on YouTube and you like scary videogames, I have another channel that I
just recently started called the is Files. I z the is files. You
can go to YouTube and type inthe is files and that's me playing through
scary video games. It's a lotof fun. This is really kind of
more my core passion. I'll alwaysbe proud of my military service, but
I was the nerd far longer thanI have that. I've been a military

(28:45):
man, a green Beret. Soso go and check that out and then
I got more, I got morestuff planned for for the new year,
for twenty twenty four. Hell yeah, he does. Well. Now let's
talk about some non military tactical gameshere. I know you mentioned bald You're
like, oh, I don't playgolf. I played balders Gate. What's
the deal with boulders Gate? BecauseI've seen it on the marketplace and it

(29:07):
actually looks really cool. I thoughtabout downloading it. So I'm telling you,
I'm telling you, Cameron, youwill not regret it. It is
there's a reason why one Game ofthe Year back in twenty twenty four at
the Game Awards because it's a tenout of ten experience. Sorry twenty twenty
three. Yeah yeah, I waslike, damn last year, I'm traveling
the Game of the Year for twoyears in a row already because it's so
good. No, it's ten outof ten, man. It's it's it's

(29:30):
basically, you know, it's theD and D universe. It's you know,
kind of three quarters down RPG.If you've played you know, Divinity
two or the other boulders Gate game, same format. You've got your character
and you're out there with your crew, and everybody's got a backstore. You
got all sorts of side adventures, you're going on, all sorts of main
quests, and you can basically wanderaround and do whatever you want. And

(29:52):
the game is I need to besmarter because this game has so many options
in so many different ways that youcan slice either a battle encounter or a
dialogue encounter, or some sort ofsituation in the game. It's up to
you. People have found such hilariousand great ways to break this game because
it gives you so many options.I think that's one of the main appeals

(30:14):
of it. The voice acting isgreat, the dialogue's great. The options
that you have, and the choicesthat you have about what path you want
to take out in the game. It's awesome, man. And I know
people that are on their fifth andsixth play through because they'll just try things
different way, they'll make different decisions. They will and won't meet certain characters
that will branch off and create totallydifferent adventures. They'll kill off main characters.

(30:37):
You can kill off people in yourparty and never have access to their
stories. It's awesome, man. It's yeah, it's so much fun.
I hats off to Lariyan Studios whojust put a lot of great love and
hard work into the game, andit shows. I've been playing this on
stream and this is like, right, I'm gonna be playing this on my
stream for quite a while because it'sso fun. It's so hilarious. The

(31:03):
things you could do. I'll giveyou one example. So there I was
in this village that had been decimatedby a goblin horde, and there's they've
got these goblins are torturing this poorlittle gnome. They've got him strapped to
a windmill. And you guys knowplay that. You know what I'm talking
about. He's vote around and aroundthe windmill. They're making fun of him.

(31:23):
Uh and and you go in thereand like, I want to help
this guy out, right, SoI go in there and I do some
great slick intimidation dialogue choices, andand the goblins they skid out all they're
out of there. So I'm like, all right, I can I can
save this guy. You go aroundto the back part of the windmill and
there's two levers. I didn't knowthis at first. There's a brake lever

(31:45):
and then a release brake lever. Now, if you only see release brake
lever, you think that you mightinterpret that as in like release the brake
lever as and release the lever thatis the break, so that yes you
can dop it. Yes you guessyou can. You can stop the wind
mail. Well that's not exactly whatit does, because I pressed release the
brake lever, and that makes thewindmill go even faster faster, So eventually

(32:12):
physics dictates that eventually that thing getsgoing so fast, and I needed that
gnome out into good choice of words, and everybody's like, uh, well,
there there goes that guy's storyline,Like he had a whole storyline,
a whole mission set that you couldgo and explore and get rewarded from.

(32:35):
But no, I found his corpselater on. Oh man grabbed his log
and his poor little amulet. I'llmaybe on my second play through, I
won't kill him. But now Iknow. I know, folks, it's
the brake lever, not the justthere you go. That's funny, man,
that's a good story. Uh whatelse? So Boldler's Gate, I'll
definitely your description definitely sells it.So you're you're hired for that marketing team?

(33:00):
Yeah, so I'll yeah, I'lldefinitely check that out. So you
also have Dead Space remake. Yeah, dead Space remake. Oh man,
you know the remake, the wholeremake craze is an interesting thing, man,
I think it probably I don't knowif they it started it during the
pandemic. Maybe I feel like thatmaybe somebody who knows the lore the history
better than I do. But therehave been a lot of remakes lately.

(33:22):
You notice that Resident Evil four, and I mean even back in like man,
yeah, right, and I thinkthe pandemic the lockdowns must have been
like, hey, guys, wecan't go anywhere. Let's take these properties
that we already have, can wemaybe like pump them up and redo the
graphics? And but not with Forsome of these remakes, they don't just

(33:43):
enhance the graphics or update the graphics. They they do like a whole overhaul
on the game. And Residuable fouris a good example. And the Dead
Space remake, which I played onmy stream this last year is it's so
good. They've improved on almost everyaspec or every aspect of it. The
storyline's better. Isaac Clark, hehas a voice in this one, which

(34:04):
in the original he didn't have avoice. In the first one. He
had one in the second one,but they give him a voice in this
one. They improve his storyline andeverything else about it, the graphics,
the gameplay, mechanics, little tweaksand things that maybe were a little clunky
in the original version, which cameout in two thousand and eight. So
this is quite a ways away afterwardsfrom the original. But all that adds

(34:28):
up to, I think arguably somethingthat is actually better than the original game.
Yeah, and my hat's off tothem, because that's hard to do.
The power of the first game isthat it's the first one that came
along, and I feel like fora lot of games, for a lot
of people, a lot of gamersout there, it grained itself. It's

(34:52):
ground itself, like deep into yourheart. So we'll always have a special
place there. That's really hard tolike knock it off. It's pedestal,
you know. Even if like gamescome along later on they have better graphics
and their sequels to the game, yeah, they're gonna be awesome. They're
gonna be great, But there's somethingabout that first one that really kind of
like cements it in your mind. With this one, with the Dead Space
remake in particular, man, Ireally if anybody was like, I've never

(35:15):
played Dead Space. I'd be like, play the remake as your first experience,
because then you can go and playthe other ones and be just fine.
But this one is it's amazing, man. And I'm just very very
impressed with with all the improvements thatthey made on it. And I'm I'm
I'm glad that I got a chanceto play it, because everybody had been
talking about it, speaking of itvery highly. And uh yeah, and

(35:37):
I'm glad I did. I'm gladI did. Well. That's good man.
Speaking of remakes, people aren't justremaking video games into games. There's
been a lot of video games beingremade into movies and television series. I
mean, obviously we talked about Halo, which we're not gonna talk about it
anymore, but but I think it'dbe I think it'd be fun to end

(36:00):
this episode, ear least end ofour conversation here talking about some TV show
video game remakes that came into TVshows. Yeah, and if I want
to start it off, everybody's youknow, if you listen to the previous
episode, the Pop Culture twenty twentythree breakdown of best movies of the year,
you know that I'm a big fanof the Super Mario Brothers movie.

(36:22):
I thought it was so fun.Yeah, and just you know, it's
it's weird because like my fiance is, you know, she's in medical school,
she's an intellectual, she's very mature, but she gets down on Mario
like no other person I've ever met. Like you know, when you like

(36:42):
go to like a restaurant and thatyou see a kid in the corner and
he's got like a switch and he'sprobably most likely like playing some Mario or
you know, or what's that onevideo game where like you can have an
island animal crossing or something animals alittle funny like that. Yeah, that's
my fiances that's her jazz, right, that's like her one game. Like

(37:04):
she's not a gamer, but that'slike her one Oh yeah, she's not
a gamer at all, but likeshe will play Mario. I have I
bought her a Nintendo DS during COVID. I mean not a DS. I'm
going back in the day you areboomer. Yeah, sorry, I bought
her Yeah about her game Boy colorand she just can't put it down.
Yeah, no, So I boughther a switch and like the first game

(37:25):
she downloaded was Super Mario Brothers theRemastered version, and it's a lot of
fun. And it's like half ofits Super Mario Bros. Remastered and half
of its Bowser's Fury, which islike so different, huh. Instead of
like a side scroller kind of lookingthing, it's like third person Wow.

(37:45):
Like, yeah, it's really fun, and like Bowser's like on steroids and
like he yeah, it's crazy. It's actually really fun. But uh yeah,
she plays that religiously. But Ithink it's super fun. How like,
even as like grown you know, grown people, and I play it
and I have a really good timetoo. How much we can like go
back and enjoy these games that wethink are for kids or whatnot, but

(38:06):
they're totally not. They're like foreverybody. They're rated e for everyone.
I like it. I guess that'swhy, you know, I can understand
from a business standpoint, the temptationto adapt a popular video game into a
movie or a TV series because you'vegot potentially a built in audience. Yeah,
and Super Mario the Mario Brothers.Mario is like one of the most

(38:29):
iconic video game characters of all timein the history. He's the most recognizable
character in history and it doesn't meanthat it's always a slam dunk because what
was it the original, Oh,the original Super Mario Bros. That was
like dumpster party, John Leguizamo anduh oh man, what's his name?

(38:52):
You guys tell me? In nineteenninety three? Yeah, live action,
live action maybe with Dennis operas Bowser. Who's mar tell me let's see toob
hoskinsb Hoskins. I got it.You guys don't have to correct me.
I got it. Yeah. Butthis one they went, they committed,
They committed to the source material.I think they went animated and uh and

(39:16):
they even yeah, they got youknow, obviously it's like a big deal
to get all the like huge actorsto be the voices. But I mean
Jack Black as Bowser with his Peachessong was was pretty awesome. And they
they brought in they were able tofit in practically into the storyline. The
side scrolling nature, like the sideplatforming nature. It's like kind of a

(39:37):
training kind of thing. They werebringing Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Country,
the whole Donkey Kong world. Butuh, yeah, I thought they did
a good job because they gave Mario. You know, it's it's classic storyton
if you want, there's like basicthings that I think make a story work.
And you got to give you know, the characters. Something got to

(39:59):
give him. I could change, some sort of challenge, some sort of
internal challenge, right, not justan external challenge. But they definitely gave
Mario that all the characters are asyou think they would be. You know,
it wasn't It wasn't like Oscar Contender, like, actually, you know,
I need to I need to stopsaying that I say when I see

(40:19):
Oscar Contender, I mean, Imean it as like a high quality you
know, good writing, good youknow direction, whatever. But I don't
even like the Oscars anymore. Idon't even like award shows. So anyway,
sorry, I had a personal epiphanyin the middle of the episode.
I just wanted you all to sharein it. But it's not exactly a
high class like the best film likeA plus. I'd give it a solid

(40:42):
like B B plus. But itmade a ton of money too, I
think. Man, I think they'reeven talking about a legend of Zelda movie
or TV show. So all right, I don't know that's cool, man,
that could go either way. Didyou watch any what did you have
any favorite adaptations from last year fromlast year or you know, I guess,

(41:04):
I guess any of them. Idid enjoy the Dungeon and Dragons Honor
among Thieves. That was. Thatwas a lot of fun. You know.
I thought it was gonna be likestraight Game of Thrones vibes, like
super serious, but then the jokes. But then the jokes kept coming,
and I was like, Okay.I was like, this is just a
slapstick medieval Dungeon and dragons movie. And I was like, that's really fun.

(41:24):
I was like, it was good. I watched it on airplane as
I watch all my movies. Butbut also so, yeah, Dungeon and
Dragons Honor among Thieves I thought wasfairly well done. Not to mention it
did. It did pretty well.It made fifty million dollars. Yeah what
man? I actually I was lookingat some stats recently and it actually bombed.

(41:45):
What. Yeah, it didn't.It did not make enough money.
I don't know if we're going tosee a sequel. Actually I think they
confirmed a sequel. Maybe it didmake enough. But I was looking at
lists of bombs from last year, like office bombs, and I thought I
saw it on there so you guyscan correct me, correct this story wrong.
But I don't think it made asmuch money as I Maybe they wanted

(42:07):
to, but maybe maybe they madeenough to warrant a sequel. But I
don't know what it's gonna look like. Man, it's gonna be like super
low budget. Uh you know, yeah, because that one they put a
lot. It looks like they puta lot of money into it. Yeah,
what one hundred and fifty million dollarsbudget? Yeah? Yeah, and
then you always gotta double it,they say the rule, the rule of
thumb is to double it for marketingpurposes because they usually put hundreds of millions

(42:30):
into marketing all around. Oh yeah, billboards, I'm talking billboards. I'm
talking flyers, talking thor door yeah, door to door. Hey, have
you heard the good news? Didyou know that Dungeons and Dragons has a
wonderful plan for your life? Yeah? What about you anything from last year
that the adaptations that you enjoyed,or or what about things that are coming

(42:52):
that you're like super excited about?Well, I mean talking about coming up,
like upcoming shows. The Fallout TVseries on Amazon is on its way
and it might be here at thetime. You're listening to this. It
might be already on its way,but it's coming up in February twenty twenty
four, coming out on Amazon, and it looks it looks good. A

(43:15):
few reasons to be skeptical, onereason to be one reason to be maybe
optimistic, that the trailers looks likegood production value. Of course, I
think that should be an industry standardnowadays, especially with Amazon, with how
much money they must be put intoit. Jonathan Nolan one of the one
of the producers, brother of ChristopherNolan, great writer. I think we'll

(43:38):
see if he had, like ifhe had a lot of creative control on
this one. The only problem isthe writing credits. I always look at
the writing credits on IMDb for anythingthat's coming out to give me kind of
like a baseline or like a meterto predict whether or not I think it's
gonna be good. The writing creditsinclude a woman who wrote the woman who
wrote tomb Raider and the Captain Marvelmovies, and a guy who wrote a

(44:00):
bunch of Portlandy episodes. That soundsawful, that sounds terrible. I don't
know. Maybe sometimes sometimes the creativevision of somebody you know kind of guiding
the riders. You know, it'shard to know creatively who is who's driving

(44:22):
the boat, you know what Imean, sometimes drabbed a boat. Yeah,
yeah, because sometimes they'll put likeTodd Howard's names on there, but
I don't know how much creative inputhe had. You know, he's the
one that created Fallout four and hedid Skyrim, and he's been creating video
games for a long time. Butso like, sometimes they just put put
the names on there, Like JamesCameron had his name as a producer on

(44:45):
Terminator Dark Fate, and you knowthat he had nothing to do with that
film. Yeah, So we'll see, We'll see, Yeah, we'll see.
I'm excited. I've loved the Falloutseries since I think Fallout three was
the first game I were played inthat series. Fall at New Vegas is
ten out of ten one of thegreatest games I've ever played. Period,

(45:06):
fall At four didn't really appeal tome. There was something about it that
didn't really grab me. But I'mexcited, man, I'm excited to there's
still still still something like that childlikewonder in my heart that wants to that
wonders what it would be like ifsomething that I Love came to life like
some video games, cartoon or whatevercame to life. So we'll see,

(45:29):
man, we'll see if it's tosee what works out. Yeah, I
think we all hope for that.Man, Yes, super exciting, but
then if it's a disappointment, itis like infuriating. Yeah. Rings of
Power, Yeah, yeah, it'seither gonna be one piece live action on
Netflix, which was great or yeahRings of Power yeah, which you know,

(45:49):
yeah, whish we don't talk about. But well cool man. Well,
I think I think that sums upeverything. We got one fan question
and then a game to take usout and this episode. So yeah,
this fan question is a mystery fan. It looks like an anonymous person and
they want to know. You're stuckon a deserted island and you can only

(46:10):
choose one movie, one TV show, all seasons, and game to play
for a year until you get rescued. What movie, TV show, and
game do you choose? Oh that'scool, we get all the seasons of
the TV show. Yeah, welllet's see here. Obviously we're gonna have

(46:30):
to pick something that's gonna last along long time, something that you would
never get tired of. I likethis question because there are those movies and
TV shows and games that you couldjust play over and over and over again
and never get tired of for whateverreason. Yeah, and then there's some
stuff that's just imminently forgettable. Youplay through it and you're like, Okay,
I did that or I watched that, and I never have to go

(46:51):
back and watch it ever again andit didn't impact me. Yeah. Hmm,
that's hard, because like I wasthinking the complete opposite. I was
like, what I mean, I'mthinking like shows that have double digit season
numbers. For me, I waslike, okay, what about I'll do
The Simpsons. Yeah, yeah,TV, Yeah, Doctor Who all the

(47:15):
way up to the current you know. Yeah. So basically I would pick
The Simpsons as a TV show justbecause it's it's funny. It's great,
right, I like being humor. They have some good episodes with like good
stories and whatnot. But they justhave hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of episodes
to pass the time. So I'lldo the Simpsons. Only choose one movie.

(47:35):
That's gonna be easy. I'd neverget tired of. It's only one
movie. It's not like a trilogy. It can't be like a friend movie.
You're thinking like Lord of the Ringstrilogy or something. Yeah, oh
probably yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, one movie. One movie needs
to be a long ass movie.I mean, I would, I mean,

(48:00):
I think I'm gonna have to gowith Aliens because it's like a really
like comfort food at this point. You know, if it's ever a cold,
dark, stormy, tropical night,I get into my cave, pop
it into my DVD player, youknow, just watch the cut of Aliens
into my cave. Yeah, I'llprobably say the extended Edition of the Return
of the King for Lord of theRing. Okay, it's three and a

(48:21):
half hours, almost four hours long, and uh and yeah, it just
has a lot of stuff that makesit ultimate. I would even say,
like in the theater versions Two Towersor yeah, the Two Towers is my
favorite. Mm hmm. But ifbut if the extended editions were like on
the table too, I think theextended Edition of the Return of the King

(48:44):
is probably my favorite. Yeah,so yeah, I do. Extended Edition
of Return of the King's four hourslong. That's a good way to kill
time. Yeah, and uh andthere's a lot of stuff in there.
And then let's see one game toplay. Well, that's hard does it
Does it include like updates and itYeah, like the full version of any
game, okay, And I playedWorld of Warcraft was a Warcraft okay,

(49:06):
Oh lord, get tired of it. There's no winning. You can't win
it. It's just so long andlike even if you like feel like hey,
like I'm done, Like I don'twant to play guess what, there
is so many more races and classesthat you could learn and play that it's
just it's a brand new experience foryou. So like, yeah, probably
World of Warcraft with all the expansions. Nice man, I I'm Aliens would

(49:31):
be my movie for sure, becauseI just I just I'll never get tired
of that, of seeing that ifsomehow that wasn't available, would be a
big trouble in Little China, becauseI never get tired of watching that movie
TV show. I mean, Ifeel like I could always watch like Star

(49:52):
Trek Deep or Star Trek the NextGeneration, the full series of that.
It's the seventh season that I thinkthere's very there's precious few episodes that I
can think of that I didn't likein that show, and there's some that
I could just watch over and overand over again. Yeah. So I
wouldn't mind hanging out for a yearand watching that and then game Baldos Kate

(50:13):
three. It's it's fresh on mymind, and I know that there.
I know I'm gonna play it morethan once because there's just so many different
ways to play that game that thatwould definitely get me through. Let's get
me through a full year. Nice, dude, nice, nice? Nice?
Yeah? Oh cool, Well thoseare good answers, but we hope
that answers your question, mystery person. But folks, we have a game

(50:36):
to play, and I'm the gamemaster this week. So Izy, this
is a game for you, anotherepisode, another game for Izzy to show
off how nerdy he is or potentiallyisn't, as he falls flat on his
face. Either way, Oh god, we're gonna have a good time.
This game is called Video Game Excitementsuper Fan Trivia. Okay, that sounds

(50:57):
like he sounds like he translated itfrom Japanese anime or something. Okay,
Video Game Excitement super Fan Trivia.Okay, it's the goud Okay, I'm
going to ask you a video gamequestion based on some of the games we
discussed today and you tell me theanswer. It's multiple choice, so you're
welcome. Okay, cool, Okay, So we're just gonna dive right in

(51:20):
because there is no warm up.So are you ready, my friend?
I'm ready. Okay, here wego. Number one, there is a
total of five questions. So,according to Nintendo, how many Super Mario
Bros. Games have there been?Is it A fifteen, is it B
nineteen, is it C twenty three? Or is it D twenty seven?

(51:44):
Oh? Man, I hate itwhen he has the numbers very close to
one another. Yeah, fifty orone hundred, we're splitting hairs. Yeah,
I'm gonna go. I'm just becauseI mean, there's Original NEAs,
they're Super nes there's game Cube, there's sixty four, there's Game Boy.
I'm gonna go with the top onewas A D twenty nine, twenty seven,

(52:09):
nineteen twenty three, and twenty seven. I'm gonna say twenty seven because
i just know there's the games thatI alone can think of. But I'm
sure there's games that I'm missing. So I'm gonna say twenty seven. Okay,
and I'm going to say incorrect,my friend, you're close. It's
in the twenties, But is gonnabe twenty three? A conservative twenty three

(52:30):
at Super Mario Bros. Games andthat has a link for for authenticity.
So Chris, Okay, so thishe's not lying, just playing. He's
not lying like he's prone to doing. Yeah, I'll obviously we've checked them
out a multiple times. But allright, man, well you missed the
first one. That's okay because youstill got four more. Here are you

(52:51):
ready for number two or out offive? Let's go? Okay. In
the game franchise Halo, who builtthe Halo devices? Was it a the
Covenant? Was it b the Flood? C the UNSC or D the Four
Runners? That would be D theFour Runners because the Covenant in the UNFC

(53:12):
they all want it, or thinkthe Covenant wants it. Uh. But
the Four Runners I think made itin order to stop the flood. I
think that's the kind of initial kindof storyline from the first one. But
I'm gonna say the Four Runners. You are correct, it is indeed the
fore Runners. So coming back, all right, one one for one or
one for two, here we go. Number three. Who was RoboCop pitted

(53:34):
against in in nineteen ninety three game? Was it a Aliens? Is a
Zeno morpse? Was it be theTerminator? Was it C The Predator or
was it D The x Men?Oh? Dang um? Just in terms
of what I think he what wouldbe a good battle the nineteen ninety three
game. I never played that one. I played the Crappyns one. But

(53:58):
I'm gonna say the Terminators because ifI recall, there's a dark Horse comic
way he fights terminators or something likethat. But I'm gonna say Terminators.
I'm gonna say your nerdiness is showingmy friend. Yes it is Determinators,
and I got a very honorable Wikipedialink here, so yes, it is
the Terminator's good job. Okay?Cool? Alright? Moving on number four.

(54:22):
What year was the first Grand Turismogame released? Oh? My gosh,
was it? Yeah, this one'snot this one's not cool. Was
it nineteen ninety five? A?Was it B nineteen ninety six? Was
it C nineteen ninety seven or wasit D nineteen ninety eight? Chris screw

(54:44):
you man? Yeah, that's brutalA chance again this one? Right.
I'm trying to think did Grant Turismocome out for the PlayStation one or did
it come out for the PlayStation two? Because I know that in college it
was a game that was spoken of, and that was like the PlayStation two
days. So I am going tosay, I'm gonna say I wasn't really

(55:10):
into I've never really been into likereal race car racing games like you know,
F zero maybe, but if it'sjust a car, it doesn't really
interest me. So I'm not abig fan of the series. Let's say
it was let's say nineteen ninety seven, nineteen ninety seven. Final answer,

(55:31):
Yep, you were correct. Four. I guess yeah, it was a
nineteen ninety seven. Good job, man, way to shoot that one in
the dark. All right, lastone, last one. Let's see if
you can finish strong because you aredoing great. Number five? Are you

(55:51):
ready? Yep? Naughty Dog.The makers of the Last of Us have
two other video games series that theymake, what are they called multiple multiple
choice. So there's two answers inhere. Okay, so is it a
Uncharted B Ratchet and Clank C counterStrike two and D Jackson Daxter. So

(56:15):
basically you got to pick two ofthese. Yeah, I'm gonna say,
uh, A Uncharted for sure,it's Nathan Drake and then the Jackson Daxter
because I remember here seeing reading onNeil Truckman's biography one time that he had
worked on one of the Jackson Doctorgames Daxon Jackson Daxter games. Yeah,

(56:35):
Jackson Dax Jackson Daxter. So I'mgonna say uncharted in Jackson Daxter. You
are correct? Hey, wow, your nerdiness? Is that to be admired?
My friend? I look how you'relike? Yeah, I was reading
this biography of who Neil Truckman.Who is he's the president of Naughty Dog,
but he came up through the companyhe and hit. His big thing

(56:55):
is he if you if you lovedif you loved the Last of Us two,
then you love h Neil Druckman. If you loved the series, the
TV series and HBO, then youlove Neil Druckman, and so anyway,
because he had the most creative controlI think over those projects. But he
also worked on Jackson Dexter. Okay, right on, Well, nice man

(57:17):
started off a little rickety. Buthonestly, that super Mario Bros. Question,
who knows that you know they havea lot? Yeah, they got
a lot. I mean, it'sthat's a tricky one because it's like the
final Fantasy question. How many FinalFantasy games? How many Zelda games?
You know. Yeah, no,there's and like, what do you consider
a Zelda game? Like, what'sin the Yeah? Anyways, good job
man, you went four for five. Awesome. That's very impressed by your

(57:40):
nerdedness. So that's what it's allI got. Yeah, that's what I
