On today's episode, Elyfer Torres and Carmen DeLeon are joined by Jason Anthony Rodriguez, a Dominican American actor and dancer born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City. Jason stars as Lemar Wintour in the FX series Pose. Not only is Jason an actor and dancer, but he's also a choreographer and movement coach, having handled choreography for Season 2 of Pose. He is also a co-founder of Arraygency, a talent agency with the mission to elevate BIPOC, queer and trans creative talent.
In this conversation, Jason discusses growing up in Washington Heights with roots stemming from the Dominican Republic—and holding on to his culture as he grew up in NYC. Plus, he opens up about his experience as an actor who is part of the LGBTQ+ community. And, of course, he chats about his love of Vogue, its origins and being a role model for young actors, dancers and the LatinX community.
