If I had one wish for today, and truthfully every day, it would be for everyone to be a little more aware of our fellow humans, to exhibit more kindness, and to be mindful of what folks might be experiencing -- not just today but everyday. We never know what burdens others carry.

In today’s episode, host Jason Ramsden takes a few moments to remember the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

Hello positivity posse greeting?

(00:41):
Well, today, I thought I'd takea little bit of a different turn
with this episode in particular, because when it drops, it'll
mark the 20th anniversary of911. Now, regardless of where
you live around the world, whether it's here in the US or
elsewhere, no doubt, there'll benews about the 20th anniversary
of 911 wherever you may be.
Today's episode might be alittle bit shorter, and a little

(01:02):
bit different than what you'vecome to expect from the show.
But I thought it was apropos tohonor those last rather than try
and spread some positivity. On aday when it really isn't about
being positive. It's about beingmindful. And that's an important
part of life as well. Now, ifI'm being honest, my friends

(01:22):
today, generally is a tough dayfor me.
On this day, back in 2001, I wasworking at Sacred Heart school

New York City had passed and mywife Colleen and I were raising

city, we have strong ties there.
I attended Xavier high schooland I had worked there after
college. My wife had attendedFordham University in the Bronx.
And she and I had both attendedFordham graduate school at
Lincoln Center in New York City,to actually where we met. On
this day, working in the suburbsof New York City. We both had

many children whose parentsworked in the city to say 911
was a tough day for the childrenand families in our schools in
which we work. Well. That'd bean understatement. I did not
know well, anyone lost that day.
I did lose 10 of my Xavierbrothers on 911 with several

if I had one wish for today, andtruthfully every day, it would
be for everyone to be a littlebit more aware of our fellow
humans, to exhibit morekindness, and to be mindful of
what folks might beexperiencing. Not just today,

(03:35):
because it's the 20thanniversary of 911. But every
single day, we never know whatburdens others carry. We never
know what struggles lie within.
The title of today's episode isnever forget, everyone needs a
little sunshine. So I'd add thatif you take a moment. Remember,
smiles are like rays ofsunshine. When you just catch a

(03:58):
glimpse, you can certainlybrighten your day. At times,
life can be challenging. Andtoday is one of those days for
me and my fellow Xavierbrothers.
as you go about your day today, take a moment to pause. See the
people around you and think justfor a moment. What would it be

(04:19):
like if you gave them a smile?
It just might change the day.
There are days when we all feeldown, distraught or upset. And
there's nothing like the smileof another human to bring a ray
of sunshine to our days. Mypositivity posse today of all
days. I hope that many manysmiles shine upon you today, my

friends. And take a moment justto be thankful for all that you
have in your lives. For thosethat were lost. No longer do.
I'll end today's episode withthis quote from Karen sama Sean
