Yep.

Amy (03:09):
We're going to drop those episodes as we can in between

Garry (03:50):
Yes, on with the show.

Amy (03:52):
On with the show.
What are we reviewing today?

Garry (03:54):
Today we're reviewing the final Love on the Danube movie,
kissing Stars that aired on theHallmark Channel on Saturday,
may 31, 2025.
It originally premiered onHallmark Plus on September 26,
2024.
So if you missed it, it isstill on Hallmark Plus.

Amy (04:14):
You know.
What's interesting about thesemovies, too, is there are
obvious, you know, if youwatched it on Hallmark Plus
before, and we did not, but wehave watched some things that
are on Hallmark Plus thathaven't dropped on the Hallmark
Channel.
There are obvious commercialbreaks.
So I wonder if their plan allalong was to eventually drop it
on the Hallmark Channel or ifthey just put the commercial

(04:37):
breaks in, because when wewatched the what's the home, the
one with Luke McFarlane I'msorry, I can't, olivia, I can't
remember.
I'm sorry, I can't, olivia, Ican't remember the name of it.

Garry (04:48):
I can't remember the name of it either.
It's on the tip of my tongue.

Amy (04:50):
I'm so sorry, but it's where they go in and they
remodel a home.

Garry (04:54):
The home is where the heart is.
The home is where the heart is.
Yes, thank you.

Amy (04:57):
Oh my gosh.
And that one has commercialbreaks.
Well, commercial break itdoesn't have a commercial in it
but there's a break.

Garry (05:06):
There's a break for a commercial.
If you wanted to put one in it,yep.

Amy (05:09):
So I'm wondering if, eventually, their plan is to.

Garry (05:12):
Why not?

Amy (05:13):
Or just give themselves the option, I guess.
Yeah, that's just an aside,anywho.
So tell us who's in this one?
Love on the Danube, kissingstars, stars, stars, stars,
stars.
Sarah Power plays SavannahBailey.
Her Hallmark credits includeOur Italian Christmas Memories
in 2022, nantucket Noel in 2021,and most will probably

(05:35):
recognize her from Good Witch, where she played Abigail
Pershing in 71 episodes from2015 to 2021.
And we really loved it and Ithink she was also in one of
their movies, one of the.

Garry (05:46):
Good Witch.

Amy (05:47):
And, yes, we loved, loved the Good Witch series.
Some of her other work includes15 episodes of the sci-fi
series Killjoys.
That ran from 2015 to 2018.
She was in two episodes ofSchitt's Creek, one in 2016 and
one in 2017.
And she was in the seriesAmerican Gothic five episodes in

(06:08):
2016.

Garry (06:09):
Oh, okay, there you go.

Amy (06:11):
Brendan Penny plays Trip Nelson.
He is a Hallmark favorite.
Yes, he is, he's been in morethan 20 films and series.
In 2024, he was in four films.

Garry (06:22):
Yeah.

Amy (06:23):
Private Princess Christmas.
We didn't see that one.
No, we didn't, that was one wemissed A Novel, noel, we did
watch that one.
This one Kissing.

Garry (06:31):
Stars, kissing Stars.

Amy (06:32):
And Family Practice Mysteries Coming Home.
He's also known as playingKevin O'Brien in the
ever-popular Chesapeake Shoresseries.

Garry (06:43):
Another great series, another reallyake Shores series.

Amy (06:44):
Yes, another great series, another really, really good
series In his free time, outsideof homework.
He was busy, though he was infour episodes of the revamped
90210.
90210 called BH90210.
Fifty Shades Freed in 2018.
I think that's part of theFifty Shades of Grey.
Ooh, okay, smallville oneepisode in 2006, and he was also

(07:08):
in the cult classic john tuckermust die in 2006 with jesse
metcalf, who was also inchesapeake shores.

Garry (07:17):
Crazy, crazy the series spawn all these actors.

Amy (07:23):
It's pretty cool katie sheridan plays isla Gray.
This is her second Hallmarkproduction.
She was previously in the RoyalNanny in 2022.
Some of her other work includesFrankenstein Legacy in 2024,
Give them Wings in 2021, and 50episodes of the series Match,
Not Found between 2015 and 2020.

(07:43):
Oh okay, Johnny Weldon playsLiam Barclay.
This is his Hallmark debut.
It's interesting because when Ilooked at his stuff on IMDb,
he's a voice in two recentpodcast series.

Garry (07:56):
The.

Amy (07:56):
Death and Life of River Song.
He's in four episodes of thatand that dropped in 2025.
And season three I'm sorry, season three of this begins in
August of this year and then theother podcast series is called
Don't Listen to this fiveepisodes between 2024 and 2025.
And I think it's interestingthat, like, fictional podcasts

(08:17):
are really popular and so youfind more and more actors
voicing characters in those two, which I think is cool, kind of
like radio in the old days, right.

Garry (08:26):
I know how it would go full circle.
They would do fictional yeahyeah.
But now you have radio andvideo.

Amy (08:31):
Johnny's also been in.
He was in the series One Day.
He was in six episodes of thatin 2024.
That was on Netflix.
We watched that Christmas onMistletoe Farm not a Hallmark
Christmas movie, but a NetflixChristmas movie in 2022.
And the series House of theDragon one episode in 2022.

Garry (08:48):
Okay.

Amy (08:50):
Gerald Kidd plays Rex.
This is his Hallmark premiere.
He's been in a lot of BBCseries.
One called Mallory Towers in2024.
He was in eight episodes.
He was in five episodes of theSplit which we watched.
We really liked that that wasin 2022.

Garry (09:08):
Maybe that's where he looks familiar to me.

Amy (09:09):
He might yeah, queens of mystery was in two episodes in
2021 okay and unforgotten threeepisodes in 2018.
We watched that one also let'ssee, and uh, the three return.
Katherine disher returns asbetty okay mark holden returns
as the captain of the ship.

Garry (09:30):
Captain Magnusson, yes.

Amy (09:32):
Magnusson and Catherine Drysdale returns as Teddy
Connors, and if you want to hearmore about them, you can listen
to the beginning of theepisodes of Love on the Danube
Love Story or Love on the DanubeRoyal Getaway.

Garry (09:46):
Yes, you can.

Amy (09:47):
There you go.

Garry (09:47):
Yeah, well, that's there you go, yay, well, that's good.

Amy (09:49):
That's a wrap For them.
That was quite a few actors, right.

Garry (09:52):
Uh-huh, some new ones, some old ones.

Amy (09:56):
Some new ones, some old ones, not old age.

Garry (09:58):
You just mean in previous the first two movies.
The first two movies, yeah, thereturning characters.
Which I felt like in this moviethey got a little bit more
screen action.

Amy (10:09):
Yes, they did.
We're going to talk about that.
Yes, yes, they did.
Yep, yep, yep.

Garry (10:13):
Okay.

Amy (10:16):
So what was your first take on all this, do you?

Garry (10:17):
want me to read the synopsis, or would you like to?
Just I did it again, didn't Iyou?
Hold on.

Amy (10:24):
Let me take a sip of wine.

Garry (10:26):
A couple podcasts in a row, he just jumps right in.
I keep doing that.
Let's see Time to drop thesynopsis.

Amy (10:36):
We're going to drop the synopsis now, okay.
Publicist Savannah Baileyoffers Tripp Nelson, her
actor-client of newfound fame, the ability to connect with fans
and find his type at a rom-comcruise event KissCon, after
reinventing himself.
But he must learn who he iswithout celebrity.
I love these long run-onsentences that they have.

(10:58):
I know right For thedescriptions and, once again,
the filming took place mainly onthe cruise right, yes.
Emerald cruises you think Ishould know that by now in
budapest, hungary, but for thisone they also filmed in germany
and austria yes and one of thewriters of this film, andrea

(11:19):
canning, makes a guestappearance as rom-com mom.
Oh, isn't that cool.
She's one of the.
She co-wrote this and had aguest appearance also in two
Ruby Herring mysteriesPrediction Murder and Her Last
Breath.
I just think it's cool that shekind of pops up.
She also co-wrote Love Song andA Merry Scottish Christmas and

(11:45):
a few other Hallmark movies.

Garry (11:46):
They get into that.
What is it?
Hitchcock kind of thing.
Hitchcock where he was alwaysin, you know who else Stephen
King.
Yes, stephen King does it too, would pop up in his movies, and
M Night does it too.
M Night does it too.
Yeah, so I just so good on her.

Amy (12:00):
I thought that was a pretty cool tidbit that I found today.

Garry (12:04):
Wow.

Amy (12:04):
So there you go.

Garry (12:05):
So what did you think?

Amy (12:06):
What did I think?
Yes, I'm really loving the playon the rom-com fans and a con
of sorts?
Yes, In this case Kiss Con thefact that Hallmark is doing
self-owns.

Garry (12:21):
Yes.

Amy (12:22):
I'm really digging it right .
I think it's cool and, ofcourse, you know we loved 2024
as part of Countdown toChristmas Sugar Plum.

Garry (12:29):
Yeah.

Amy (12:30):
That was a hallmark self-own of the best kind, and
that, of course, was more tonguein cheek.
Yeah, this one was a littlemore serious, but I just I
really love, I loved it.
I thought that Sarah andBrendan had really great
chemistry and I love that we gotmore of a storyline with Betty.

Garry (12:47):
Yes and Teddy, really yes and Teddy.
Chemistry, and I love that wegot more of a storyline with
betty and teddy.

Amy (12:48):
really yes and teddy captain, not so much he was, you
know, but but he's still in it.
But betty's storyline, really, you know we got to see more of
her because I love her anywayyes you know the actress
katherine disher, and and I Ireally like teddy also.
So, um, what, what did youthink?

Garry (13:05):
well, the the captain did sit with Trip.

Amy (13:09):
Yes, he did, and he discussed the parallels between
being a star and being a captainof a ship that was a little
different than the first suit.

Garry (13:15):
You're right, you're right, he got some more time.

Amy (13:17):
He got some more time.
Yeah, he did.

Garry (13:19):
Good on him and you know what else I liked.
What His?
I'm sorry I'm kissing the mic.

Amy (13:25):
I'm sorry I'm kissing the mic, let me back up a little bit
.

Garry (13:27):
The other thing that I liked was in this one he sounded
much better on the loudspeakeryou and that loudspeaker.

Amy (13:36):
I don't know what it is.

Garry (13:37):
I don't know why I'm drawn to that, but I am.

Amy (13:39):
I know.

Garry (13:40):
But I like the opening of all three of these movies.

Amy (13:45):
Yes, we haven't even talked about that.

Garry (13:46):
We haven't talked about it and how the song itself kind
of.

Amy (13:51):
It's just cute.
Yeah, it gets you kind of moveda little bit.
We were singing it by the end.
Yeah, you're singing it by theend.

Garry (13:56):
It's got a good jingle and the colors change for each
movie and the ship is going downthe Danube River and it's kind
of showing you bits and piecesof what are going to pop up in
the movie as the movie goesalong, which I think is really
neat right.

Amy (14:09):
I thought that was really cool.

Garry (14:11):
Yeah, I thought it was, and I too like the KissCon thing
.
Yeah, the whole planet.

Amy (14:17):
I mean, hallmark has their own cruise right now that they
do the Christmas cruise and thestars go on the cruise.
And you know I'm sure there aremeet and greets.
We haven't done it yet.
And you know I'm sure there aremeet and greets, we haven't
done it yet.
We want to, not this year, maybe next year, but like
Savannah.

Garry (14:31):
We talked about it last year but we didn't get it.
But, like Savannah, I'm scared, like if we were to do the
cruise.
And you know, you saw one ofthe actors and you go up and you
start talking to them.
What are they really thinking, you know?
Like she was saying, like oh myGod, I can't believe I have to
do this, or are they reallygenuine?

Amy (14:47):
I don't know.
Now let me ask you something.
What would you do if you met astar?
If I met a star and you need tothink long and hard about when
you met a star, what you did.

Garry (14:56):
Well, I met you.
How did I act?

Amy (14:58):
Oh, artie Har Har I acted pretty good, didn't I?

Garry (15:03):
Yes, I did that.
Yes, I did Winning points leftand right, ladies and gentlemen,
Winning points left and right.

Amy (15:07):
Okay, Honestly.

Garry (15:09):
I don't.

Amy (15:10):
Do you remember?

Garry (15:12):
Okay, she's bringing up.
Okay, I'm a big fan Sorry, Ihit the table there I'm a big
fan of the early ghost hunters, right, I'm a big believer in
that type of thing, and I'm notlaughing because of that,
because I love this and I whatwas his name?
you know, zach nick nick.

(15:32):
Nick was his name, nick.
Um, I think he got in like sixor seven seasons and then he
ended up leaving.
But we went to disney, right, the family, we went to disney
world, and it was early in themorning and I think it was magic
kingdom, right?

Amy (15:44):
no, no, it was hollywood studios hollywood studios, right
, right, right.

Garry (15:48):
And as we're walking in there, the park seemed empty.
But there was a couple walkingin front of us and I was talking
to you and I was like you know, that person looks familiar and
she's like what are you talkingabout?
I said I know, I know this guy.
He's from ghost hunters reallyloudly really loudly, to the

(16:09):
point where he turned around andwe got up to him and I asked if
I could get a selfie with himhe fangirled hard.
Oh yes, I did.
I did so.

Amy (16:23):
If you're wondering how I would act that, how I acted, I
need to find the picture and putit in the comments or something
, because what's funny about theselfie is Is you're half in it.

Garry (16:38):
It was me, Nick, and half of you.

Amy (16:40):
Gary took a selfie and I am cut off now.

Garry (16:45):
Yes, you are.
My apologies, dear, myapologies.
So this is how Gary reacts toStar, so maybe we are.
My apologies, dear, myapologies.

Amy (16:49):
So this is how Gary reacts to Star, so maybe we shouldn't
go on the cruise or havesomebody else do the selfie,
because I just couldn't helpmyself.

Garry (16:57):
I know I was like a screaming fan, right.

Amy (16:59):
You knew I was going to bring that up.

Garry (17:01):
Well, I was also trying to hurry up because he was with
his family and I didn't want totake up a lot of their time.

Amy (17:07):
He probably was like let me come to you, crazy man.
But you know what?

Garry (17:11):
He was cool.
He was very cool and he did doit.
He was very nice and I reallyappreciated it.
He smiled.

Amy (17:17):
I mean he, you know, we weren't like crazy, you know,
but maybe a little bit you were,Because I didn't know who he
was.

Garry (17:28):
I mean, I think I'd seen the show.
You know what?
I'm going to find that pictureand you can post it, Cause that
I had forgotten all about that.

Amy (17:31):
That was almost the funniest part is that there is
literally half of me.
You can tell who Gary wasfocused on, so it's fine.
It's fine Cause I wasn't a fan,but all right, all right.
Did you have any favoritescenes, sir?

Garry (17:48):
Well, Do you have any favorite scenes, sir?
Well, you had mentioned therom-com mom.
I actually really enjoyed thatbecause I felt like Trip was in
his element.
You know he didn't want to dothis setup.
Right when they were supposedto meet right, and he's like I
got an idea, let's go on thishike, yep.
And it ended up working wellfor them.

(18:10):
Well, it made comfortable right, yeah, and more relaxed, like
you said in his element, but Iwant to know.

Amy (18:13):
She didn't write anything down I know like do you have
like a member like I would beright in every detail because
I'm recording it right, orrecording it?

Garry (18:21):
yeah, so well, she's a writer, right so?
Yeah she didn't have to, she'sgot a photographic memory.
Yeah, maybe, I don't know butokay, so that was one of my.

Amy (18:30):
Yeah, that's no, that's a good one yeah, what about you
did?
You any other?

Garry (18:34):
no, I have something to go back, for I don't want to use
up all mine and then yeah um,you talked about the openings to
each of the three love on thedanube films.

Amy (18:44):
So that was that was going to be one of them, but but we
already talked about that, okay,um, when savannah and trip are
sitting at the table and I thinkthey just have like a glass of
water and they're just having aconversation, right and she asks
him how he got there, and andthen I forget what he says.
But she's like no, here, here, like how did you like you're
acting?
What brought you?
right to the point you're attoday, right, and then he, he

(19:07):
sort of asked her the same thing.
It was just a natural flow intheir chemistry and the
conversation.
It was like a real lifeconversation that you would have
with somebody and there was,you know, maybe a little
flirtation, but not a lot.
It was just really talking andbecoming friends and I just
really appreciated that yeah um,you want me to go again or you
want to do another one?

(19:28):
I'll take one.
I'll take one.

Garry (19:29):
The two scenes where she gets caught watching Tripp on
the phone.

Amy (19:34):
Yes, I have those down too.
I'm so glad you said that.
Yes, that will save you time.

Garry (19:37):
Yes, the first one, when she was with Teddy and they were
looking at the video of himgetting in a taxi cab and saying
, no, I don't want to take aselfie From the beginning.
From the beginning.
From the beginning, Beginningof the film right.
And then the second one is whenI think she's sitting down
eating breakfast and she'swatching.

Amy (19:56):
What is it?
One More.

Garry (19:57):
Kiss, one Kiss.
It was One More Kiss.

Amy (19:58):
One More Kiss, okay.

Garry (19:59):
And he comes walking up and she tries to lock the phone
but ends up dropping it and thenthey're talking and then you
can hear on the phone the scenethat he was in and he was like,
oh, one more kiss and she'strying to stop it and she can't
stop.

Amy (20:14):
It doesn't that happen all the time when something goes off
, you're like, oh my gosh, I'mtrying to, and you know, you all
of a sudden lose your memoryabout how to work a phone so
yeah, I had those.

Garry (20:22):
I had those also.

Amy (20:23):
I thought, those were cute.
Um, I had the ripped pants weboth so so what we do is we, we
watch.
We watch a film once, right,Just to enjoy it.
We'd like to enjoy it as it isas we're just a viewer and then
we watch it a second time andthen take notes and we don't
discuss our nose, but we talk, but we laughed.
I don't know, it's just likestupid humor, but we both

(20:46):
laughed both times.
We watched it.
When he split his pants, hebends down during a dance.

Garry (20:51):
He just looked so like that wasn't supposed to happen
and it did Maybe it wasn't Maybeit wasn't.

Amy (20:55):
But I thought it was funny.
I was cracking up.
That was one of my favoritescenes.
But why didn't he take hisjacket and put it around his
waist?

Garry (21:03):
You know that's a good point.

Amy (21:04):
The age-old resolution is to if you have something to wrap
around you.
He could have taken his jacketoff, like what are you doing?

Garry (21:11):
That's a good point, I know it is he could have walked
around the city for the rest ofthe day without any problems,
right.
But what was even funnier iswhen he actually told Savannah
what happened and he walked infront of her and she laughed.

Amy (21:24):
Yeah, that's something I would do.
I would just laugh.

Garry (21:39):
Didn't she say say, oh, that's a big, that's a split or
something whatever.
Yeah, she said it was kind offunny.
Yeah, oh, do you have any more?

Amy (21:43):
um, I think the when they did the impromptu scene, the
improv yeah, yes, I have thatalso.
We are like samers tonight.

Garry (21:45):
Yes, I thought, could you do that.
No, I would die me.

Amy (21:49):
I would sooner die than get up on stage and especially do
improv.

Garry (21:52):
I might be able to get up and read something.
Yeah.

Amy (21:55):
But don't ask me to come up .

Garry (21:56):
I'm pretty witty on the fly in general, but not in that
situation.
Yeah, that would scare, me.

Amy (22:02):
I would.
Yeah, don't ever ask me to dothat because I will leave you on
the spot.

Garry (22:07):
Yes, you would yes, you would, oh gosh, oh, and I had
just one more.

Amy (22:15):
Okay, how in the world can you sit there, pedal a bike and
do an interview?
Yes, good on that.

Garry (22:17):
Yeah, that was like that was a pretty cool scene I had
that.

Amy (22:20):
Oh my gosh, it's so funny.
Not as a favorite scene, butjust as like an additional note,
I put the beer bike interviewthe beer bike bar interview
right where you have to bike.
I'd be out of breath I'm out ofshape.

Garry (22:32):
I mean, I guess, when you're younger, you can do that.
That's a lot of work for somealcohol yes, and they show, they
show trips, legs going and I'mlike it's got to be hard what
he's doing.
Yeah, yeah forget that.

Amy (22:44):
Yep, yep, yep.
I mean I'm sure it's fun.
I mean it's fun, not really Iwould I would not do that.
I couldn't concentrate and shetakes the tiniest bite out of a
pretzel when she gets thepretzel she didn't want to break
his heart.

Garry (22:56):
Take a bite woman she didn't want to break his heart.
Yeah, she didn't have anymustard.
Come on, you gotta have mustardany others.

Amy (23:03):
Any other favorite scenes?

Garry (23:04):
no, that was it for my favorite scenes.
Did you have any more?

Amy (23:07):
just the very end, when he says one more kiss on the danube
and he kind of it almost lookslike he, as the actor brendan,
is kind of smiling because it'sso cheesy and cheeky to say and
it's just, it's just kind of acute moment and she says the
perfect ending that goes in withthe whole rom-com of it all,

(23:30):
and so I just I thought that wasa good way to wrap up the films
.

Garry (23:34):
And that's kind of what they said.
All three films, yeah, that's awrap, you know.
Yeah, yeah, it was really good.
So, yeah, yeah.

Amy (23:41):
All right, biggest cheer from you.

Garry (23:44):
Biggest cheer.
They didn't make Trip or Rexlike a womanizer type character.

Amy (23:52):
That's a good point, right?
You know, I am so glad theydidn't do that.

Garry (23:57):
They're just nice guys and the fact that, and we know,
actors can be nice guys no.
I know, and the fact that, rex, they just don't portray that
when Betty shows him the photoof them in high school he
actually remembered her andalways wondered what happened to
her and he called her the Bettyin costumes back in high school

(24:18):
.

Amy (24:18):
Oh, yeah, that was so cute, yeah, no you're right, they
made them really nice guys andnot cocky Like the trope right
Like the cocky, arrogantwomanizing.
You know I get all the women.
Yeah, it was, it was, it wasreally well.
Yeah, well done, well writtenwhat about you?
um, I had a few.

(24:38):
Yeah, the play, kind of what wetalked about, the play on
rom-com, events that have starsmake appearances, and they kind
of showed both sides the fanside, like you have the ones
you're like, give me a selfie,give me a selfie, give me a
selfie right and then you havethe one who went up to him and
was like, look, that moviereally changed my life.
You know, I lost my husband andwhen I saw you in that it made
me, you know, view thingsdifferently.

(24:59):
And then I got out there, orwhatever you know, and I think
that's true.
I think you know, and I'm nottalking about crazy fans.

Garry (25:05):
Right.

Amy (25:06):
But it is.
You know I understand bothsides, like stars.
You know you're not alwaysgoing to want to meet fans.
You're not always going to wantto say the same things to fans
over and over and over again.
You know.

Garry (25:17):
Right.

Amy (25:18):
It's the same thing but different person, and I know
that that gets old.
But on the flip side, like Ithink Savannah says at one point
, it's like getting your voteright Right Like they vote with
their remotes.
It's like getting your voteright Like they vote with their
remotes.
They vote with their socialmedia they vote.
You know you have your jobbecause of them.

Garry (25:39):
So, you know, it kind of gave both sides of the coin and
I like that, yeah, because shewas talking about her dad being
a politician, right right, andnow he had to get the love of
the fans or the voters to get tovote, and he has to get the
love of the fans or the votersto get to vote and he has to get
the love of the fans to.

Amy (25:51):
You know, to continue working, to continue working, to
continue making money to andand there's, like I said,
there's a fine line.
I'm not talking about they, should, you know, in the
bathroom, be approached you knowlike you here, but what were
you gonna say?

Garry (26:02):
I'm sorry I was gonna say the parallel between the, the
one girl that did go up to tripand say how he helped her with
the loss of her husband.
And then you had Betty, who hadlost her husband.
Yeah, and one of my cheers wasshe stayed true to herself.
She wasn't ready to move on yet.

Amy (26:19):
Yeah, that was good, because Rex yeah.

Garry (26:21):
I handed to Rex.
You know he tried.

Amy (26:23):
Yeah, he gave it, his, he tried, yeah, he did and she was
like you know, I love you.

Garry (26:28):
I'll always have a place for you in my heart, but I'm not
ready to move on.

Amy (26:31):
Yeah, she's like this is my home.

Garry (26:33):
The ship was her home.
That really worked.
Yeah, I agree.
So that was another one of mycheers.

Amy (26:37):
I had you know the chemistry between Savannah and
Tripp.

Garry (26:40):
Yes.

Amy (26:41):
And the actors themselves really worked Betty's wine pour
at the captain's dinner.

Garry (26:46):
Oh my goodness, that's one of our was quite a poor.

Amy (26:49):
I know I was like I'm going to give a cheer for that
because that was pretty good.

Garry (26:52):
That was funny, that was so funny.

Amy (26:54):
I just really liked her storyline.
I was so glad to see her getone.
So you know, you just discussedit, you know, and she had a lot
of good one liners, like whenshe says I like rich, aged
gracefully and zesty.
It is what makes a good wine, don't you think?

Garry (27:08):
Yes.

Amy (27:09):
And then she says to Rex, would you like a kiss?
And he's like what?
And she's talking about thedrink the Danube kiss.
Yes, you know, and that lookedgood too, that blue Danube, kiss
it looked really good and thenshe said that some other time
about a drink.
I just thought they played toher character really well during
this movie.

Garry (27:27):
Yeah, I really enjoyed the banter between them two.
Yeah, and there was somethingelse she had said, because in
that same one with the kiss shewas talking about.
Oh yeah, I love bars.
I love a waffle bar.

Amy (27:41):
Oh yeah, she did say that I love a wine bar, that's funny,
so she had a really.

Garry (27:45):
I'm glad that they had her in all three of these movies
because she really yeah, shereally contributed to the yeah,
she's such a good.

Amy (27:52):
It was a good character, she's a good character actor for
sure and I like the shout outto mr d d's ghost of town yeah,
is that something you'd everheard of, or no?
I have heard of it okay, so itwas gary cooper gary cooper and
it was in 1936 36.

Garry (28:09):
How'd you know that?
Did you look it up?
I sure did.
Yes, I did.

Amy (28:12):
Okay, well, you said 39.

Garry (28:14):
I was thinking 39, but it was, you're right, 36.
Yeah, 36.

Amy (28:18):
Well.

Garry (28:19):
Yeah.

Amy (28:19):
And you know, in 2002, adam Sandler and Winona Ryder
starred in Mr Deeds, a remakesort of of Mr Deeds Goes to Town
, and when you think about itit's really like Hallmark,
because it's like a, what theysay, like a small town, simple
man goes to the big city.
I mean, it was like Hallmarkbefore.
There was Hallmark in 1936,right.
So I just thought that that wasa really cool, because, you

(28:42):
know, I just like all that, yes,and I had Entertainment stuff.

Garry (28:46):
I have one more chair Okay, and that was the carriage
ride that Tripp and Savannahtook.

Amy (28:52):
Oh yes.

Garry (28:53):
It was so different than the carriage ride in Love Song
and I don't understand, andmaybe it was because they
couldn't get the shot in andthey had to do it on a green
screen they might have.

Amy (29:03):
Weather might have been an issue, and the weather too.

Garry (29:07):
And I just thought that was perfect.

Amy (29:10):
It was a better shot.
Yes, it was better, it was abetter shot.
Carriage ride yeah yeah, timingmight not have worked.

Garry (29:16):
So did you have any more cheers?

Amy (29:17):
Nope, that's it.

Garry (29:18):
All right.
Well, let's move on to thecheers.
What did you have?
Did you have any?

Amy (29:23):
The green screen during.

Garry (29:25):
Betty and Rex's talk rex's talk.

Amy (29:32):
I mean it wasn't.

Garry (29:32):
I mean you could definitely tell it was a green
screen and it wasn't as bad as,like, some of the other movies.
Yeah, love the air.
Sorry, I wasn't gonna name it.
I had to name it.
Um, chitty chitty, bang bang.
Yeah, that was go watch chittychitty, but it wasn't.

Amy (29:41):
It wasn't on that level, but it was still.
It was like and again I don'tknow if it was a reshoot or
because I don't think there wasa green screen- at all.

Garry (29:51):
That was the first one, so.

Amy (29:53):
I don't know.
And maybe if there were greenscreens, we didn't notice them,
and that's what you're, you know, that was, that's good.

Garry (29:58):
Yes.

Amy (29:59):
But so that would be, that would be my biggest year.
I also like at the verybeginning when Trip gives up too
easily.
He's like that's it, I'm goinghome.
It's like five minutes into themovie you know, I just felt
like I don't know.
Yeah, well, you know thepersonality.
And what were Tripp and Islafilming when he wore the like
the Renaissance costume?

Garry (30:19):
I think it was just a ton of chic kind of like cheesy
commercial type thing.
Oh was it?
I was like I don't get it.
What are they doing?
Satire?
I think they were doing.
It was like I missed it or Idon't get it.

Amy (30:29):
Probably both, I don't know .
I didn't understand that.

Garry (30:32):
And.

Amy (30:32):
I thought Liam, the character Liam, was a bit much
at times.
I don't know, I just felt likethat was overdone a little bit,
but not enough to you know makeme hate it.

Garry (30:40):
Throw you off, yeah.

Amy (30:42):
But otherwise I like Liam.
He was kind of.
I'm sure there were people whono, you have to be If you're
doing something like that.

Garry (30:48):
You have to keep order.

Amy (30:49):
Yeah, so you have to be.
What about you?

Garry (30:51):
Jers yes, teddy, in every scene with Savannah, in this
city or in the streets, she hadto always go back to the ship.

Amy (31:02):
Well, she's working.

Garry (31:05):
I mean I guess it's like a 24-hour job, but doesn't she
get like a day off or something?

Amy (31:07):
Don't they have somebody to take her place?

Garry (31:09):
like a day off or something, don't they have
somebody to take their place?

Amy (31:13):
I would have loved it if hallmark would have given them,
like a day, like a date, like agirl, even half a day yeah, but
it was always like a 30 secondscene and she's like well, I
gotta get back to the ship sothat was, that was my jeer and
the other one was the the greenscreen because I felt like you
had.

Garry (31:27):
So they shot more on the ship on in this movie than they
did the first two, Actuallymaybe even the first two
combined.
And it's like you couldn't finda moment to shoot these two.

Amy (31:37):
Because the weather seemed like it was beautiful at night
when they were doing it.
Maybe they had it and they hadto reshoot it back in the US or
Canada it could have been.

Garry (31:45):
Or maybe it was an idea that somebody said, hey, we
should put this in thereAfterwards, maybe they needed it
.
They needed a filler.
Yeah, I don't know, I get it, Iget it.

Amy (31:53):
Yeah, yeah.
So I mean, I really hope thatwas that your final jeer, yeah
that was my final jeer.
I really hope that we see morecruises.
It would be great.
You know, I don't know if theygo on a Danube River cruise now
and I never would have thoughtabout something like that before
.
No, I don't have you know, maybe Hallmark will do a cruise

(32:13):
on the Danube.

Garry (32:14):
Now, that would be cool.

Amy (32:16):
It would be very expensive, but it would be cool.

Garry (32:18):
Because it looked like there was multiple ships behind
each other.

Amy (32:21):
Did it really?

Garry (32:23):
Oh, I didn't even notice If you don't think you'd have
enough room.
Maybe you can get four or fiveboats, ships, whatever, boats
Hallmark, and then the starscould hop from boat to boat at
different ports.
They could wait for the yacht.
Yes, that would be cool, yeahthat would be really cool.

Amy (32:36):
Yeah, I'd probably do that.
So I hope we get more, you know, and especially of like Betty
the captain and Teddy it wouldbe cool to have them come back
as recurring characters on othercruises, so I just really
enjoyed that.
Yes.

Garry (32:50):
Well, out of five, how many corks do you give this one?

Amy (33:01):
I'm going to give it a four and a half.
What about you?

Garry (33:03):
That's what I was going to give it.
I wasn't going to give it quitea five.

Amy (33:07):
Right, right, you're almost there.

Garry (33:09):
I thought it was better.
Oh, hold on a second Excusethere.
I thought it was better.
Oh, hold on a second Excuse me.
I thought it was better thandefinitely the first one.
Close with the second one.
I thought the second one waspretty good.

Amy (33:22):
Are you ranking them now?
Okay?

Garry (33:24):
Well, I don't know.
Do you want to rank them or not?
How are you?

Amy (33:26):
ranking them?
Yeah, we were going to rankthem, but you already kind of
went there.

Garry (33:32):
I'm sorry, what's your?
I give it four and a half corks.

Amy (33:34):
Okay, four and a half corks .
If you didn't hear, I give itfour and a half corks.
They heard it and I would rateit they heard it.

Garry (33:39):
I got to give the second and the third a tie for me.
And then Love Song would be thethree yeah.

Amy (33:48):
Yeah, I think I gave Roy a getaway of four and a half too.
But yeah, love Song woulddefinitely be third, and not
because it was an awful movie.
Everything kind of worked.
It just didn't blow us away.

Garry (34:03):
Right.

Amy (34:04):
You know.
So I mean I enjoyed it.

Garry (34:06):
Yeah.

Amy (34:06):
I don't regret it, like I did.
Love Is In the Air, yes, butthat's an hour and a half.
I won't get back, no, but umbut yeah, I mean, I guess I
would do if I had to put one asa number one.
Gosh, I don't know, you'reright, it's hard.
That's why I put them as a it'shard between uh, kissing stars

(34:29):
and royal getaway, I would haveto put them probably equal also.

Garry (34:34):
Because the characters I thought were better with each
other than in the first one.

Amy (34:39):
Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure Not to take away from
any of the acting no, no, Justfor me that's what I felt, yeah.
All right, is that a wrap?
Yes, it is, that's a wrap.
