I liked the first one, yes.

I liked it, but I really kindof loved this one.

There was just something aboutthe chemistry between Jessica
and Dan that totally worked forme in this one.
There was good chemistry in thefirst one, but it just was sort
of just.
It fell just short of beinggreat.

really worked.
And of course you know thebackdrop of cruising down the

Danube, coupled with shotsaround Budapest and a few other
places, you know didn't hurt,right.
I mean, it was so beautiful,there were some.
I felt like we got differentshots on this one too.

some sunset shots, yes.

Some of the cities you know the difference was in the
first one, I felt like a lot ofthe shots it was raining
overcast.
In this one, there was a lot ofsunshine.
Sunshine, yeah, we saw a lot ofit, which made a huge
difference.
Right, some beautiful,beautiful shots.

Yes, yes, and you know.
So we watched Chesapeake Shoresand, like we just talked about
with Jessica Sipo, she's in 38.
There were a total of 55episodes, so she's in a good
majority of those episodes.
And you know, Chesapeake Shoreshad a pretty impressive
ensemble cast, so she gotairtime.
But you know, I guess we didn'tsee her.

I saw her.
Amy (14:25):
We saw she was sort of sprinkled throughout.
Right, she had a majorstoryline there towards the end
and we enjoyed her.
But looking back, I don't thinkwe got to see what she can do.
Yeah, I mean, I really don't.
She's a fantastic natural lead.

And I'm really hoping we get to see her more.
She, just her.
It was so effortless for herand I just I really really
enjoyed her as a lead in thismovie, and Dan was great too.

But I just I was really impressed by that and you know
I'm a sucker for an Englishaccent.
Even though now, I know it'snot really his accent, but I did
love it.
He did a good job.

I too like this one better than the first one, than
Love Song.

And it's not that Love Song was bad.
No, we didn't hate it, wedidn't, you know it just didn't
like blow us away.

No, and one of the reasons for me was I felt like
in Love Song, there was too manystorylines going on.
They really didn't focus on thetwo main characters, because
you had her mom, who was afraidto go on stage again.
You had both of them were, youknow, widows.

But in this one they really focused a lot on Ava.
And what is it?

thought was good yeah.

I also yeah, it really was focused on the couple, you're

Yeah, and, like I said, the fact that there was more
sunshine throughout this onethan the first one, it just made
the scenery really really pop,like pop right, yeah, yeah, I
totally agree.

there and they're both.
I mean, they both had the big,you know, beer.
I just thought that that wasreally cute.

ship Right, and that she's aguest on the cruise just like he
is, so I enjoyed that.

I like when you know Ava saysall you need is a ticket and an
open heart.
And they're walking through andthat's when they found they went
to the art right?

Yeah, they had to co-work regal right right reynolds is
like reynolds is his, likebutler.

Yeah, I enjoyed the painting scene yes, that was fun
that the banter the paintingsthemselves.
So he, joe and ava arecompeting against betty and
reynolds.
And it was just a fun light.
The banter was good, thescenery was really cool and, by
the way, would a captain get offa ship?
I mean, I don't really know.

He's got a first mate, or whatever they call him.
Oh yeah, you know what I likedabout the painting scene was how
they painted abstract, becausethroughout the movie, that's
what they were talking about.

And then, oh, I didn't even notice that.

And then Betty and Reynolds, they did, they were
like literal, Just a natural youknow drawing and it's funny
because he was colorblind.

She goes, but at least you candraw.

it was a different.

I kind of missed what we saw in love song.
Right In this movie, but maybeit was intentional.
I mean, I don't know.

But we did find out that her husband had passed away.

I really liked um, a couple more scenes when they're
looking at one painting and hesays they should celebrate with
a kiss.

It felt like it went along withthe shots, so I enjoyed it more

And my last At the end, wherethe captain gave a little party
for all the guests, thankingthem and thanking the crew for a
good cruise.

My biggest cheer was, overall, the journey of
self-discovering growth.
Both Ava and Joe were on forthis cruise.
They each went on for adifferent reason, so he's trying
to decide whether being king iswhat he really wants.
And Ava realizes she's lost herpassion.
And, yeah, she's on her.
It's not, it's her.

It was supposed to be herhoneymoon.
It's not the dates of thehoneymoon, but it's like a year
later or so, but it was supposedto be her honeymoon.
So she's there and she wants torediscover her passion and love
for art and she wants, like theblank canvas back.
I just thought that themessaging was really, really

cool.
So that's why she tries to findthe artist Tobias right,
because he wants to share hisart with people who will
appreciate it for what it is,not the pretentious world that
art has become Right, wherepeople just view it as
possession instead of reallyappreciating the art.
Now, I know nothing about art.

So you know, but I like what I see right.

And I don't like what I see sometimes and you don't.

making to make a decision now.
But then you find out it'sbecause that Joe's grandfather

died suddenly, Right, and Joe'sdad had to take over, whether he
wanted to or not.

And it may not have been his choice.
So he's really wanting Joe tomake that decision, like is it
something you really want?
Because, if not and I like thatthey have supportive parents
instead of this, the way it usedto be, you know, this is the
way it is and you're going to doit no matter what, and it's
more modern that way in someplaces.
But you know, yeah, yeah, it's amore modernized look.
Chicago always got a.

I read where somebody said it was like the darkest beard.
And then he shaves it, he's gotlike gray stubble.

so I just so the beard Okay , the beard was one the second
and third kisses were way moredramatic than the first one.
I felt like we had like tworeally big buildups and it just
wasn't necessary, right.

like really dramatic and then atthe end it was really dramatic
again and we just didn't need it.

We already talked about betty.
I felt like her character wastoned down and, and, and that's
only a cheer, because I love herand I love and there was a

I liked the first one, yes.

I liked it, but I really kindof loved this one.

There was just something aboutthe chemistry between Jessica
and Dan that totally worked forme in this one.
There was good chemistry in thefirst one, but it just was sort
of just.
It fell just short of beinggreat.
Yeah, you know the first one,but this one I thought really,
really worked.
And of course you know thebackdrop of cruising down the

Danube, coupled with shotsaround Budapest and a few other
places, you know didn't hurt,right.
I mean, it was so beautiful,there were some.
I felt like we got differentshots on this one too.

We did On the river.
Amy (13:44):
some sunset shots, yes.
Garry (13:46):
Some of the cities you know the difference was in the
first one, I felt like a lot ofthe shots it was raining
overcast.
In this one, there was a lot ofsunshine.
Sunshine, yeah, we saw a lot ofit, which made a huge
difference.
Right, some beautiful,beautiful shots.
Amy (14:00):
Yes, yes, and you know.
So we watched Chesapeake Shoresand, like we just talked about
with Jessica Sipo, she's in 38.
There were a total of 55episodes, so she's in a good
majority of those episodes.
And you know, Chesapeake Shoreshad a pretty impressive
ensemble cast, so she gotairtime.
But you know, I guess we didn'tsee her.
Garry (14:24):
I saw her.
Amy (14:25):
We saw she was sort of sprinkled throughout.
Right, she had a majorstoryline there towards the end
and we enjoyed her.
But looking back, I don't thinkwe got to see what she can do.
Yeah, I mean, I really don't.
She's a fantastic natural lead.
Garry (14:39):
Yes, she is.
Amy (14:39):
And I'm really hoping we get to see her more.
She, just her.
It was so effortless for herand I just I really really
enjoyed her as a lead in thismovie, and Dan was great too.
Garry (14:51):
Yeah, he was.
Amy (14:52):
But I just I was really impressed by that and you know
I'm a sucker for an Englishaccent.
Even though now, I know it'snot really his accent, but I did
love it.
He did a good job.
Garry (15:03):
He did a good job, Made us believe right.
I love a man with a goodEnglish accent.

That's right, that's awesome.

I too like this one better than the first one, than
Love Song.

And it's not that Love Song was bad.
No, we didn't hate it, wedidn't, you know it just didn't
like blow us away.
Garry (15:21):
No, and one of the reasons for me was I felt like
in Love Song, there was too manystorylines going on.
They really didn't focus on thetwo main characters, because
you had her mom, who was afraidto go on stage again.
You had both of them were, youknow, widows.
Amy (15:39):
Yes.
Garry (15:39):
But in this one they really focused a lot on Ava.
And what is it?
Joseph, Joe, joseph, call meJoe, call me Joe, which I
thought was good yeah.
Amy (15:53):
I also yeah, it really was focused on the couple, you're
right.
Garry (15:56):
Yeah, and, like I said, the fact that there was more
sunshine throughout this onethan the first one, it just made
the scenery really really pop,like pop right, yeah, yeah, I
totally agree.

So yeah, I like this one better.

Yes, Did you have some favorite scenes oh?

yeah, let's go down our favorite scenes.
I really enjoyed them walkingthrough the city.

Yes, I have that as one too .

And the one scene where they were trying on sunglasses
and hats.

I thought that was like areally playful scene.
It was really cool and it justlooked like they were having a

Roberts when he shuts thejewelry box on her when she goes
to reach for it.
Oh yeah, and she jumps.
And they start to laugh.

Yeah, that's a good analogy .

Yeah, it was really cute.

I had a couple of what you just said, the scenes of them
walking through.
I loved when they're sitting atthe cafe and they're each
having a beer.
Yes, I thought that was so cool, you know, and I don't know if
they had I don't think it waspizza, was it pizza?
Or I don't know what they hadfor food, but they're sitting
there and they're both.
I mean, they both had the big,you know, beer.
I just thought that that wasreally cute.
I wonder if it was pills inthere I don't know I I thought

the meet cute was really cute,where he thinks that he gets on
the ship and he thinks that sheworks.

Right.

For the ship you know and he's.
I just thought that was reallyfun.

Yeah, I enjoy the captain'sdinner table just because I like
that moment when they all meeteach other for the first time
and that's when Joe realizesthat Ava does not work for the
ship Right, and that she's aguest on the cruise just like he
is, so I enjoyed that.

You talked about the castle,the castle tour.
I like when you know Ava saysall you need is a ticket and an
open heart.
And they're walking through andthat's when they found they went
to the art right?
Did they do that in the castleor when they go down?
Garry (18:44):
Yeah, they go down and look at the piece.
Amy (18:46):
Try to decide.
Garry (18:47):
Yeah, they had to co-work regal right right reynolds is
like reynolds is his, likebutler.
Right green is coming.
Amy (18:56):
Yeah, I enjoyed the painting scene yes, that was fun
that the banter the paintingsthemselves.
So he, joe and ava arecompeting against betty and
reynolds.
And it was just a fun light.
The banter was good, thescenery was really cool and, by
the way, would a captain get offa ship?
I mean, I don't really know.
Garry (19:16):
Do they get off the ship too?
Amy (19:17):
Oh, okay, I didn't know that.
Garry (19:19):
He's got a first mate, or whatever they call him.
Oh yeah, you know what I likedabout the painting scene was how
they painted abstract, becausethroughout the movie, that's
what they were talking about.

And then, oh, I didn't even notice that.

And then Betty and Reynolds, they did, they were
like literal, Just a natural youknow drawing and it's funny
because he was colorblind.
Amy (19:39):
Who was Reynolds?
I missed that.
Yeah, are you serious?

Yeah, he told Betty I'm colorblind.
She goes, but at least you candraw.
Amy (19:47):
Oh, I missed that.
That was during that scene.

Oh, I must have been like writing a note or something, and
I totally missed that.
That's so cute, and you know.
That's such a good observation,though, that you're right.
Ava and Joe's painting was.

Was abstract.
Was more abstract and Betty whoactually painted those I'd be
very curious.

Maybe some of them have bad skills.

I can't draw a stick figure, but it's fine, I'm not
judging me either.

Yeah, but so I really liked that.
I really liked that paintingscene.

No, I mean it was going back to the captain's dinner.
Yes, I love that concept wherehe invites guests different
guests every night for dinnerand they all sit around and they
introduce themselves, I thinkthat's really cool.
I think that really happens, Iwould assume.
So We've never been on a cruise.

I don't know about a big cruise.

And let me ask you this Is Betty.
Does she go to every dinner, oris it just the ones?

Does she go to every captain's?
Dinner every night on the shipif they're not off the ship in
port doing something fun.

Because I really liked her relationship with Reynolds.

Yeah, they had their bantering back and forth.

I thought that was very yeah.
Yeah, they had a good one.
Amy (21:30):
But I and this will come up later too for me but I wish she
was different in this movie.
Garry (21:37):

Her relationship with Reynolds was really good and she
does have those likeone-on-ones where she, you know,
talks to Ava and but she wasn'tas like, jovial, I don't know,
it was a different.
Garry (21:49):

I kind of missed what we saw in love song.
Right In this movie, but maybeit was intentional.
I mean, I don't know.
It was there, yeah, yeah so.

But we did find out that her husband had passed away.
Yeah, we did find out that.
We do find out that nugget.

We do find out a little bit more about her.

So, yeah.

So I wonder if in the last one we'll really get more of a
story of hers or if she's justsomeone who likes to cruise now
and take on adventures in lifeIf I was retired, yeah, and her
husband passed away and she'smeeting.
You know, all these new people?

She doesn't have to clean , right, she doesn't have to
cook.
Yeah, she doesn't have to cook.
Yeah, she doesn't have to make,that's very tempting, isn't it?

I really liked um, a couple more scenes when they're
looking at one painting and hesays they should celebrate with
a kiss.
I forget where that is, ifthat's in the castle that's in
the castle.
Garry (22:40):
No, I think that might have been amusing.
Amy (22:42):
I forget now where, yeah and he goes.
Oh, we should celebrate with akiss and you think they're gonna
kiss, but then they go up tothe painting that's called the
kiss.
Garry (22:49):
I thought that was a really cute twist.
That one got me too, yeah.
Amy (22:52):
Yeah, I thought that was cute and, of course, the ball at
the end.
I love the ball with the ballgowns and all of that.
Garry (22:57):
Did you notice that they danced to the same song?
Amy (23:03):
when he took her to dinner, that song played in stop it
really it was the same song no,I did not, and I'm usually
attuned to the music yeah, youare whoa, I know right look at
you yeah no, I did a little bitof something I just want to
watch it again, okay all rightcool cool, cool.
Garry (23:23):
Okay, did you have any chairs?
What was your biggest?
Amy (23:25):
no, I had none, I hated it.
No, I'm just kidding after allthat what was your biggest chair

Um, they didn't use greens wellthey did Well a little bit when
she's in the room.
Garry (23:38):
Yes, yeah, and please tell me how the screen was
moving when they were docked.
Amy (23:45):
I don't know, I don't know.
Garry (23:47):
The ship was docked, but in her room it was moving.
Amy (23:52):
That's supposed to be your biggest cheer, not jeer oh.
Garry (23:54):
I'm sorry, that was my jeer Sorry.
Amy (23:59):
But I was like you love it, but you're talking poorly about
it.
Garry (24:02):
I'm so confused right now what I meant was they didn't
use a lot of green screens.
Amy (24:06):
Right, that's what you started.
Garry (24:08):
But then I went on to my jeer without even whatever.
Amy (24:12):
Well, in your defense I did say I talked about the window
when she was like in her room,so that's kind of where you're
right.
Garry (24:18):
And it was also, I think, in.
Amy (24:20):
Ladies and gentlemen, that was his room too, his room too,
and one Joe's room too, I think.
Say what.
Garry (24:24):
I think they did the same thing in Joe's room too.
Oh, probably yeah, but theyfinally show the captain talking
on the loudspeaker.
Amy (24:33):
Yes, they did.
Garry (24:34):
That bothered you.
In the first one it did yes andI kind of liked it.
I think it was two or threetimes they showed him.
Amy (24:38):
Yes, I wonder why they changed that, because the first
one they really didn't show himever did they Talking?
On the.
And then this time they showthe captain announcing the ports
they're about to pull into.
Garry (24:49):
It sounded better to me.
On this one I felt like it wasa voiceover on the first one.
Amy (24:54):
Oh, it was.
Garry (24:55):
But this one.
It felt like it went along withthe shots, so I enjoyed it more
.
Amy (24:59):
You enjoyed that more.
Yes, I wonder if they had theshots the first time but for
some reason the sound orsomething didn't work and they
just went with the voiceover.
Then it happens, I don't know.
Yeah, sometimes you don't getthe shot.
Yeah, like we're filmmakers, ithappens.
Garry (25:11):
Yeah, I know right Whatever.
And my last At the end, wherethe captain gave a little party
for all the guests, thankingthem and thanking the crew for a
good cruise.
Amy (25:23):
Oh yeah.
Garry (25:23):
I thought that was nice, that's pretty cool.

Amy (25:28):
My biggest cheer was, overall, the journey of
self-discovering growth.
Both Ava and Joe were on forthis cruise.
They each went on for adifferent reason, so he's trying
to decide whether being king iswhat he really wants.
And Ava realizes she's lost herpassion.
And, yeah, she's on her.
It's not, it's her.
(25:50):
It was supposed to be herhoneymoon.
It's not the dates of thehoneymoon, but it's like a year
later or so, but it was supposedto be her honeymoon.
So she's there and she wants torediscover her passion and love
for art and she wants, like theblank canvas back.
I just thought that themessaging was really, really
(26:10):
cool.
So that's why she tries to findthe artist Tobias right,
because he wants to share hisart with people who will
appreciate it for what it is,not the pretentious world that
art has become Right, wherepeople just view it as
possession instead of reallyappreciating the art.
Now, I know nothing about art.
Garry (26:26):
So you know, but I like what I see right.
Amy (26:28):
Right right.
Garry (26:29):
And I don't like what I see sometimes and you don't.
Well, yeah, and I don'tunderstand some of that stuff.
Amy (26:35):
I don't get some of it, but anyway so, but I just thought
that that was really cool.
Another cheer for me would bethat Joe and his brother were
not enemies.
Garry (26:45):
Yes.
Amy (26:46):
And that his brother wasn't trying to steal To steal yeah.
He wasn't trying to undermineJoe's rightful place to be king,
if that's what he wants.
Garry (26:55):
Right.
Amy (26:56):
So I just I appreciated that.
Garry (26:59):
Yeah.
Amy (26:59):
Because you can have supportive family you know what
do they say?
Garry (27:03):
The sister-in-law wasn't in his ear.
Right, you need to get that.
Amy (27:07):
Yeah, it was like the air in the spare, yeah.
I don't want to say what thatrelates to.
But you know I really love thatJoe's dad was, you know,
forcing his hand in a little bitto really think about whether
or not he wanted it.
And at first you think, gosh,he really, you know, like he's
making to make a decision now.
But then you find out it'sbecause that Joe's grandfather
(27:27):
died suddenly, Right, and Joe'sdad had to take over, whether he
wanted to or not.
Garry (27:31):
Right.
Amy (27:32):
And it may not have been his choice.
So he's really wanting Joe tomake that decision, like is it
something you really want?
Because, if not and I like thatthey have supportive parents
instead of this, the way it usedto be, you know, this is the
way it is and you're going to doit no matter what, and it's
more modern that way in someplaces.
But you know, yeah, yeah, it's amore modernized look.
Chicago always got a.
(27:52):
I said I'm always going to givea cheer to chicago.
And is that the beginning?
Yes, close to my hometown, themusic reminded me so much of
Downton Abbey.
I just love that.
I guess I had a couple othercheers.

That's yeah, and then um hesays with her with ava.
He can be just joe instead ofyou know, duke, yeah, the duke,
I love the dateline shout out.
That was kind of funny.
He calls her quite the sleuthand she says she loves a good
dateline episode yeah, they'retrying to find the painting yeah
, so the brink.
Garry (28:34):
Those are called the brink right the brink yeah,
which they had purchased.
The royals had purchased, oractually, no, it no, it was
given to his brother.
His brother and his, hissister-in-law, as a wedding gift

But you don't know that untilthe end she's right, right

Okay, the beard has entered the chat.
Garry (28:56):
Okay, yes, my biggest jeer would probably be the beard

Amy (29:03):
They could have done a better job with it, and you find
out.
So he has this beard at thevery beginning.
That's very dark and and youcan I mean you can really tell
it's like glued on his faceright and um.
So first you're so put off byit and then he wants to kind of
go where he's not recognized.
Garry (29:20):
So he shaves the beard.
Amy (29:21):
So you you understand why they did that.
But I was like I was thinkingam I gonna have to look at this?
Garry (29:26):
I won't be able to look at anything else no, I know the
whole movie, so I understand theeyes were just drawn right to
it come on, hallmark, you knowdo better make him grow a beard.
Or maybe he's like me and hecan't grow.
Amy (29:37):
I read where somebody said it was like the darkest beard.
And then he shaves it, he's gotlike gray stubble.
Garry (29:42):
Yeah, how does that work, you know.
Amy (29:43):
so I just so the beard Okay , the beard was one the second
and third kisses were way moredramatic than the first one.
I felt like we had like tworeally big buildups and it just
wasn't necessary, right.
It big buildups and it justwasn't necessary, right, it was
like really dramatic and then atthe end it was really dramatic
again and we just didn't need it.

I don't know, I just felt likeit was maybe over the top.
Ava, her overreaction to himfinding out he's a royal.
Garry (30:11):
Yeah, it was a little bit over the top.
Amy (30:12):
It was a lot, you know, and it's like I don't know, did he
really do anything that bad?
He didn't really lie, you know.
So I just you know, and she,you know, and I think she says
something like I understand, Ijust you know.
That's no excuse for him to nottell me and you know whatever.
Lie to me about the paintingbecause they were looking for
the painting.
Garry (30:32):
Right right.
Amy (30:32):
And he knew his family had it.
Garry (30:34):
Yep.
Amy (30:35):
She didn't know that.
Soe saying things to ava likeyou know you deserve the best
just before their dinner andthen he said um, you've made me
the happiest man in the world.
I just feel like that's a lotyeah and they've known each
other for five days.
Garry (30:49):
So you know, I agree with you but these are minor, minor
things.
Amy (30:53):
We already talked about betty.
I felt like her character wastoned down and, and, and that's
only a cheer, because I love herand I love and there was a
shout out to james bond yes,what was that?
Garry (31:04):
shaken, not stirred I have that my nose yes that was a
good one.
Amy (31:08):
Reynolds says that right no , she does or she.
Doesn't he try to imitate seanconnery though?
Garry (31:12):
yes, yes, reynolds, that was a good scene.
Amy (31:16):
I like that scene too and then my, my final jeer would be
those heels on that cobblestonestreet oh yes it.
My ankles broke watching that.
They were so thin.
I do not know how jessica theactress pulled that off.
They were so tiny and good forher yeah because I would have

fallen flat on my face.
So and that's not even a badyear, that's just a holy crap.
Those were really thin highheels on that cobblestone street

The green screen in the rooms.
They didn't need it.
I don't understand why theyfelt the need to put windows in.
It's not enough to ruin themovie, but no, it wasn't Because
