Jim Schultz is the owner of the Factory Billet 51 ft. Outerlimits GTX that set the record for the fastest V-bottom at this year's Lake of the Ozarks shootout with an astonishing run of 184 mph. The pass obliterated Schultz’s old record of 166 mph on the 3/4 mile course and surpassed the all time LOTO V-bottom record of 180 mph which was accomplished on a one mile course!

Schultz, who is a machinist by trade, owns Geremarie Corporation which manufactures billet aluminum parts for world renowned boat companies like MasterCraft and Cigarette. Schultz also owns Factory Billet Power which specializes in drive and engine performance upgrades for elite boat racers.

In this episode of Powerboat Talk, Schultz tells us about some of the engineering specifics of his Outerlimits which is powered by twin, Brummet Marine built, 605 cu. in. twin turbocharged, Big Block Chevys that make close to 3000 hp each. He also talks about the surprises he encountered during his record breaking run where he exceeded his expectations of achieving 170 mph by an almost unbelievable 18 miles per hour.
