One of the most active areas in HIV research is ART switch strategies in virologically suppressed patients with HIV (PWH). Recent switch studies highlight the use of INSTI-, non-INSTI, and long-acting ART regimens as well as a shifting in strategies–from one of only achieving viral suppression towards also addressing simplification, minimizing long-term toxicities, managing comorbidities, and improving quality of life. This activity is designed to update healthcare professionals with the latest cutting-edge evidence on ART switch strategies in virologically suppressed PWH that were reported in 2025 as well as discuss their implications on patient management trends for 2026.
