Precinct 444 invites you to meet the artists featured in the National Law Enforcement Museum’s newest exhibit, “Officers as Artists: The Creative Expression of Those Who Serve.” Now open until August 30, 2025.
In today’s episode, you will meet Natalie Murry, who retired in 2002 from Kent (WA) Police Department after 10 years. In 2000, Natalie attended the Forensic Facial Imaging course at the FBI Academy in Quantico to expand her expertise to include other the aspects of forensic art such as age progression, postmortem imaging, and 2 and 3D reconstructions from skeletal remains. For about 20 years, she also worked closely with forensic anthropologist Dr. Kathy Taylor at the King County Medical Examiner's Office in Seattle, doing most of their unidentified remains cases for them.
"There are so many cases of unidentified remains in the US and not a lot of artists to do the drawings to try to ID them, so I'll continue to do the work as long as I'm asked."
