Une chirurgie peut avoir un impact majeur sur la vie d'une personne. En fait, 10 000 patients par année seulement à l'Hôpital général de Montréal étaient opérés juste avant la pandémie. Et la demande continue à augmenter. Notre invitée est la directrice de la mission chirurgicale du CUSM, la docteure Liane Feldman. Elle propose une initiative sur dix ans pour optimiser l'efficacité des résultats pour les patients en chirurgie: c'est L'avenir de la chirurgie.
Ce projet inclut des investissements en robotique, intelligence artificielle, la chirurgie assistée par ordinateur, et les trajectoires de Réhabilitation améliorée après chirurgie (RAAC ou ERAS), entre autres.
