(00:05):
Get ready for the political sensation with super host and
news breaker Preston Olsen. Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and
gentlemen, welcome to Preston Super Show.
This is the 83rd installment of the Super News and there are
over 500 episodes of Preston Super Show across all podcast

(00:29):
platforms. Listen wherever you like, the
NBA is going to have to step up their Prada after all of these
gambling accusations are swirling around.
The FBI comes down hard arresting up to 30 people
involved in this La Costa Nostragambling back door business

(00:54):
where a head coach Chauncey Phillips and the guard Terry
Rozier both go down for these charges.
This is insane to me that the NBA had this kind of tucked
under their sleeve for a while. There's also reports of some

(01:16):
gamblers and big time high rollers getting information
about LeBron from a source that we aren't too sure about yet.
But a source was giving out information that LeBron wasn't
going to play way ahead of time.So we definitely have some
issues arising and the people that are trying to discount this

(01:40):
as just some type of revenge tactic just need to hang it up
and retire. Just time for you to step aside.
Fade to the black, my friend. Now we have college football
tonight. So beautiful.
I'm really focused on college football on this episode,

(02:00):
talking about the big games for Friday night and I cannot
believe you hanging my friends, my brothers, I have 10 picks for
college football Saturday. Yes, we need college football.

(02:23):
We need it bad. 46 million people at risk of losing the
food stampies. The link program, the SNAP is
going downhill from here, son. But I'll give you some good news
about that while you're waiting in line to get a box from the

(02:44):
food pantry as you're listening to this program.
And I hate to make it that way, but at the end of the day folks,
we are just the dust of this earth.
But the good news, don't let me forget.
The good news is when the food stamp program is officially

(03:06):
depleted, the price at the grocery store on all of those
good products you love will comedown dramatically.
And if the food stamp program officially goes away for good,
we will have cheap prices in ourstores again and business will

(03:27):
boom again. Seriously, think of your
favorite drink at the store. Now let's make it cheap.
Let's say it's $1.16. Now let's say that I come in
with my Food Stampy card and I end up getting that dollar and

(03:48):
16 cent drink. Well, by chance, other people
are going to also get that dollar and 16 cent drink.
But the difference is, is when I'm giving them that dollar and
16 cents, it's in subsidized food.
So it's a subsidized food card. If I'm paying with subsidized

(04:11):
materials, then you turn around and pay with cash and the store
eats that up and they'd love thecash and they don't love the
Link as much. Here's why it's good in the long
run. If they're greedy, because while
I'm paying for that drink with alink card, that in a sense is

(04:35):
fictitious money because you wouldn't have it if you made
enough money and you didn't qualify for the program.
So in this example, so when people slide their Link card,
their food stamp card, and they purchase something, the store
can start raising the price of that product incrementally, not

(04:58):
based on whether or not the truck is getting there on time
like it normally would be set at, based on the price of goods
and services, transportation, logistics, and they factor it
all in. But instead of that, they could
start incrementally averaging how well that product is going

(05:18):
to do if they raise the price. Because they know you don't.
You're not buying it with cash, you're buying it with food
stamps. Therefore, if you had the cash,
well, you wouldn't pay more for it necessarily.
But since it's money that is really not yours, it's
fictitious, they know people will still pay for that.

(05:39):
So that drink ends up going from$1.16 to $1.68 to $1.86 and it
continues to go up to a certain point where the stores making
100% profit on it. And that is what has happened
with food stamps. That is the monotony of the

(06:01):
program. That's the backdoor game.
And it takes a while to kind of put that together, but I was
able to put that together. And of course, I've done lots of
economic courses and have some certificates.
But the point is that anybody could come to those
calculations. As a matter of fact, a gentleman

(06:21):
years and years ago, literally years and years ago, had
mentioned something similar to that formula I just gave you.
So in the short term, yes, there's a little bit of a
squeeze, but in the long term, it's really good for business
and really good for jobs. Keep that in mind because jobs

(06:45):
are at a premium right now. The government shutdown is
entering its fourth week and this will be the longest
government shutdown by the time it's done.
I do believe the food stamps will have some bearing on how
the Democrats go about opening this government back up with
Republicans. Remember, they they need 60

(07:05):
votes in the Senate. A simple majority will not get
it done. They need the Max here and
that's hard to get even with a few Democrat senators crossing
the aisle it they're still a long ways away.
I do believe at some point the government will reopen, but in
the meantime, a lot of programs are going away and they're going

(07:26):
to go away quicker the longer it's shut down.
The governor of Virginia, Glenn Younkin, Republican, has
declared a state emergency, a crisis because of this food
stamp shortage. California, their governor,
Gavin Newsom, has sent the National Guard to the food banks

(07:48):
to protect food trucks and the people handing out the food.
Folks, it's going to get a little bit rough, but trust God.
Don't put your trust in men and love God.
And you're going to have to workfor food.
You're going to have to work. That's the way our economy has
always been set up. I know it's tough to say, but

(08:10):
believe me, there's a lot of gladness that comes with working
Ecclesiastes in the King James Version of the Bible, Chapter 6,
verse 7 says all the labor of man is for his mouth and yet the
appetite is not filled. Amen, brothers, Amen.

(08:31):
How about that? We have to work to live.
We don't live to work. This is the way it goes and you
come here to Preston Super Show to hear the greatest bets of all
time, to hear the greatest podcast host of all time.
You come here so you can have a chance to earn a little more

(08:54):
coin to throw down, earn a little something extra on top of

I don't even need to give you myreferral.
You can go and get it on my oddman.com.

get the money, or use it and redeem it for gift cards.

again with Flip Picks. No, this is not a plug and I am
not being paid to say this on this episode.

(09:39):
I love flip picks. Like I said, it operates as a
sweepstakes and has the controlsand the flow in the format the
same way your sports books work.Get flip picks today and stop
throwing your money away. First game up Friday night for

(10:02):
college football, we have the North Texas Mean Green.
This is a mean team up against the Charlotte 49ers, who are one
and six. Yeah, they don't look good right
now. I don't know what's going on
with this game. Stuff's happening.

(10:23):
Total, that's 60 1/2. Betting wise.
I don't know because they took the money line off right now,
Charlotte 49ers has a + 25 1/2 underdog.
Look, I we don't have to talk about this again much.
The quarterback for North Texas should be able to slice and dice
this defense up and the running back Caleb Hawkins, who already

(10:46):
has seven touchdowns on the year, will probably get two to
three more. But yes, Drew Messmaker,
quarterback for North Texas, is the guy tonight.
He will put it on the Charlotte team who just really can't stop
anybody. But they're going to get a good
workout, pay that much, skip thegym because you guys are going

(11:09):
to get all the workout you need in that game.
That's an easy one for North Texas.
But I will say, give Charlotte plus 25 1/2 for fun.
It goes over because I don't seehow they stop North Texas and
then it just ends up going over. That's my best bet.

(11:32):
The over I do like plus 25 1/2. I mean, I don't think that's
that bad. Next game we have the California
Golden Bears versus the VirginiaTech Hokies, 6:30 PM kick off.
It's always a good game in Lane Stadium, Blacksburg, VA Virginia

(11:53):
Tech. The money line favorites -230
total at 50 1/2. California comes in as a + 6
1/2. Underdogs had to spread.
That's my best bet. I like the over and I do believe
that California pulls this one off Plus 195 with their

(12:17):
quarterback Jaron Kiwi. Sega Palute and I've seen enough
from the quarterback of VirginiaTech to just not have that much
stock in this team. There are two and five team,
California's five and two. Watch it on ESPN at 6:30 and you

(12:39):
will see California as well as their running back Kendrick
Raphael, who has five touchdownson the year, really run over
this Virginia Tech team. But I like the over California
covers the spread and they went plus 195 on the money line last

(13:00):
game for this Friday night. And I hope you had a happy
Friday as you're listening to this program.
Hope you are having a happy Friday.
This game you can watch on the CBS Sports Network at 9:00 PM
where Boise State has turned their season around and they
will play Nevada. This game is in Nevada and in

(13:23):
Reno, NV, you will see Boise State with their quarterback
Maddox Madsen turn it up a notch.
He'll probably get to 2000 plus passing yards in this game.
He's at 1823. He's got 15 touchdowns, never
running back with six touchdowns, filling in some big

(13:46):
shoes of a Sean Gentry. But Dylan Riley, he's having a
good year. He's looking to get to that 1000
yard mark. He's at 695 rushing yards on the
two game-winning streak where Boise State has defeated New
Mexico and the UNLV Rebels, who were a very hot team just two
weeks ago. Love the over 50 1/2.

(14:10):
I believe that Boise State cleans up, cleans house -20 1/2
they cover on the spread and they win -1800 on the money line
that finishes up Friday's games. We're moving into some excellent
action with the first game I'm going to speak about for

(14:32):
Saturday, Big Noon kick off. Why does ESPN put people on to
talk about sports and their faces aren't straight?
What's going on? Ole Miss up against Oklahoma.
Ole Miss is 6 and one. Oklahoma 6:00 and 1:00.
Big SEC game here. Ole Miss has what they need.

(14:55):
Oklahoma has what they need. Total at 51 1/2.
This goes over. Love Ole Miss to cover the
spread at plus 5 1/2. Oklahoma's been a tough place to
play this year, but their quarterback doesn't give me much
hope he's going to be able to withstand the onslaught from

(15:16):
this defensive Ole Miss. Again, Ole Miss covers that
spread. Plus 5 1/2 total goes over as my
best bet. And again, you have a running
back for this Ole Miss team who's headed to the pros.
Kiwan Lacy with 138 carries, 10 touchdowns and 618 rushing yards

(15:40):
in the quarterback. Trinidad Chambliss 8 touchdowns,
1 interceptions and 1549 passingyards on one O 4 for 166
passing. At the end of the day, the
quarterback play is not where I'm looking.
It's the defenses allowing theseteams to dictate the pace and I

(16:05):
believe Ole Miss has a little bit better game flow.
They win, they cover the spread.Total goes over.
Really 2 best bets Ole Miss to cover the spread at +5 and a
half and the total goes over. But yes, Ole Miss will win that
game. It's very important they do.

(16:26):
Next up, we get the South Florida Bulls versus the Memphis
Tigers. Kick off at 11 AM.
Watch it on ESPN 2. Both teams are 6 and one on the
year. Total set at 58 1/2.
The Memphis Tigers are the plus 5 1/2 underdogs at the spread
and the plus 165 money line underdogs.

(16:50):
All teams have ample offenses. Instead of going through every
single stat and player. Let me just hit you with this.
Get ready for a lot of points tobe scored and you will be
surprised. Memphis is a tough team to play
this year. Love them.
A + 5 1/2 on the spread total goes over 58 1/2.

(17:14):
Memphis wins this game. They pull it off with this
combination they have on offensive defense.
The way these two units kind of balance off of each other, I
like the feeling of Memphis being at home.
It's almost a comforting feeling.
Next up we have the Missouri Tigers varsity Vanderbilt

(17:36):
Commodores. Both of these teams have really
had outstanding years. This game is going to be a duel.
Both teams six and one total at 53 and a half. 2:30 PM kick off.
Watch it on ESPN. Missouri the road underdogs.
Plus 2 1/2 at the spread and plus 120 on the money line.

(18:02):
Love what Vanderbilt's doing this year.
I think they've rebounded well since they've lost to Alabama.
Missouri has as well, but not aswell.
Going to a double overtime with Auburn hurts Missouri's chances
in this game. Doesn't help.

(18:23):
Doesn't help them. This is not the NBA where you
have 80 something games to figure out who you are and what
your identity is. You have to know who you are
right now. Total goes over 53 1/2 because
these offenses get rolling. It's hard to stop Vanderbilt

(18:43):
because her quarterback is very versatile and the defenses
aren't what they used to be as far as Hawking to the ball and
piling on whoever has it. It's more of a lot of defenders
getting to a guy and having trouble bringing him down in a
lot of cases. And with Vanderbilt, they have

(19:03):
that ability of a quarterback who can scramble.
The defense breaks down. He either finds an open receiver
or takes off running. So I love what Vanderbilt can do
in this game. Missouri will keep it close.
Not close enough for me though. I don't like plus 2 1/2 total

(19:23):
goes over 53 1/2. Vanderbilt -140 on the money
line is my best bet. Give a lot of credit to
Vanderbilt's quarterback, Paiva. He is really stepped up.
Next up, 2:30 PM kick off BYU, the undefeated BYU ranked #11 in
the country taking on Iowa State.

(19:45):
BYU 7 and O Iowa State five and two.
Very good at home. They are the favorites here.
Tough game for BYU to come in here and win, but after watching
BYU this season, pretty much seen every one of their games.
Seen the highlights, but I've definitely watched most of their

(20:05):
games. This one's on Fox.
Won't be hard to find. Total set at 49 1/2 BYU plus 2
1/2 underdogs at the spread and the plus 110 money line
underdogs. This one's a little bit more
clear cut for me because BYU hasthe better quarterback and
Bearbach Mir over Iowa State's quarterback Rocco Bet and BYU

(20:30):
has a better running back and LJMartin takes a while to get
going, but when he does, he's really good. 127 carries, 4
touchdowns, 774 rushing yards. And they do have a great
receiver and Chase Roberts, 24 catches, 4 touchdowns, 463
receiving yards. Love BYU to win this game.

(20:52):
I'm telling you, just like the last time we spoke about BYU,
this Baer Bochmere is having a sensational season. 9
touchdowns, the three interceptions, he's got 1386
passing yards. But they're not telling you when
he runs, he's fearless. And you know, that could be a

(21:14):
little bit detrimental to a quarterback's ego, but it has
not shaken him or shaken his rhythm.
Pretty impressive. I've been very impressed with
BYU as a team. Their defense doesn't get any
credit. The totals tough, 49 1/2.
I'm going to be honest with you,you have two Big 12 defenses on

(21:35):
the field. I'm saying under 49 1/2.
And I do like BYU to win plus 110, but plus 2 1/2 to play it
safe all day long with BYU on the road because they're on the
road. Plus 2 1/2 for BYU is my best

(21:55):
bet. Next game is not a hard one to
pick. You have the Fighting Illini on
the road up against the Washington Huskies Big 10
matchup. Both teams are five and two.
2:30 PM kick off on Saturday. Watch it on the Big 10 Network
total at 54 1/2. Illinois's the plus 3 1/2

(22:16):
underdogs at the spread and the plus 135 money line underdogs.
Let's get real. Alt Myers a way better
quarterback than Desmond Williams junior.
I think Illinois's defense will even have a pretty good game.
The running back for Illinois just needs to hold on to the
football and he'll be OK. Caden Fagan, 5 touchdowns

(22:38):
already this season, but the running back for Washington is
their go to guy, Jonah Coleman. He has 12 touchdowns and 112
carries. He's getting a lot of use.
Total of 54 1/2. I like the over love Illinois to
cover, plus 3 1/2. They win plus 135 on the money
line. Next up, another Big 10 game.

(23:00):
Minnesota Golden Gophers go facethe Iowa Hawkeyes.
Minnesota five and two in the year.
Iowa five and two. Total set of 39 1/2 Minnesota,
plus 8 1/2 underdogs at the spread and plus 250 underdogs at
the money line. 2:30 PM. Kick off tomorrow and you will
get to see a really good game here.

(23:22):
But I have to roll with this Iowa team at home.
Even though it looks ugly, it's not going to be a pretty game.
I do think Minnesota has a better offense, but the defense
is a problem. It's going to be an issue like
Iowa to win that game. If you're looking for a best
bet, I really like a no bet here. 39 1/2 goes under

(23:45):
Minnesota Golden Gophers cover plus 8 1/2 and Iowa wins -300 on
the money line we step on, we are looking at the San Diego
State Aztecs versus the Fresno State Bulldogs.
San Diego State five and one on the season.
Fresno State 5:00 and 2:00 kick off at 2:30 PM.

(24:05):
Watch it on FS1. That's Fox Sports 1 Network.
Both quarterbacks have had theirstruggles, but I do believe San
Diego State is in a better position to win this game.
I think the problem with them comes in trying to figure out
where to go with their offense. They kind of get their own way,

(24:26):
like San Diego State to win. Fresno State plus 3 1/2 is my
best bet at the spread total goes over 47 1/2 these last
three games. I'm not going to spend too much
time on. Kind of go quickly here.
Baylor first. Cincinnati easily.
Cincinnati wins -155 on the money.

(24:48):
Line's my best bet there. Not going to go through too much
there. Texas A&M versus LSU Texas A&M
is a juggernaut right now until they lose them.
Brolin with them -135 on the money line is my best bet.
Then you're looking at North Dakota State versus South Dakota
State, and I like North Dakota State to win this game.

(25:09):
Final pick. I believe they are just in a
better position to win this gameon ESPNU.
Watch it at 7:00 PM. Full teams are undefeated.
Give me North Dakota State to win that.
Ladies and gentlemen, just like the heads of time, I'm turning
it over to you. Goodnight and God bless Psalm

(25:30):
