Her bold decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy as a 24-year-old Miss America contestant ignited a conversation around the globe about the importance of preventive healthcare. Featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and in People Magazine, Allyn’s advocacy has earned her accolades such as the Congressional “Women’s Health Advocacy Award” and the “Lifetime Achievement Award.” 

 

She continues to inspire audiences to embrace courage and prioritize wellness by finding their “power in prevention.” Allyn is the Founder and President of The Previvor, the first non-profit dedicated to educating women on their options for cancer prevention, genetic testing, IVF and beyond. She is a sought-after speaker, celebrated for her compelling storytelling and expertise in health advocacy, resilience, and leadership. 

 

Through her work, Allyn continues to inspire others with a powerful message: life over vanity. Allyn holds a B.A. in Government and Politics with a concentration in Political Philosophy from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.A. in International Business Law from Universität Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany, where she successfully defended her thesis, “The Impact of Western Campaign Finance Laws on Free Speech and Free Elections.”
