Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Summer Series twenty twenty five, The Rodin Family Murders,
also known as the Pike County Masscer. We're going to
be discussing the murders of Dana Roden, Christopher Roden Senior,
Kenneth Roden, Gary Roden, Frankie Rodin, Hannah Hazel Gilly, Hannah Rodin,
and Christopher Roden Junior. Let's go ahead and dive right

(00:22):
into Summer Series twenty twenty five. Hi, guys, welcome to
Part nine of Summer Series twenty twenty five, The Pie
County Massacre. We are going to go ahead and get
in to the continued wired taps. In this wired tap,
we are going to hear a conversation between Jake and
Angela Wagner, And in my opinion, this is where things

(00:43):
really start to take hold and take shape and we
really see, in my opinion, what a classic manipulator Angela
Wagner is. We're going to hear from her a couple
of different times, and I really think things just really
start to culminate and make sense as you hear from
her her in her own words. So we're gonna go
ahead and get into the wire taps now.

Speaker 2 (01:07):

To granny's house, but you.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Can put her to work right where they all walk at,
he tells her. Now when she tells them that they

So you're gonna listen. I want to tell you thank
you for what you did to Toby.

Speaker 7 (05:28):
You did a really good job.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Jac what's gonna do her? Oh, let's see, that's just
her mom.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Me, I'm her grandmother. Uh be didn't do anything wrong
than her. Ever it was since Sophie saying.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
That, and everything's going to find out.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
She loves Beth more than then. She believes Beth over me.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
And because I'm just her grandmother.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I really thanks.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Oh and not only that, because you had to go
and help Tophie that crap Now, she telded you now.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Had you wanting to know how, And I am I
amber along that line.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
The other day, I let you want to call your
daughter a.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Liar again, and you probably will believe everybody under the fun.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
All right, now, you guys know, I am no Jake
Wagner apologist at all. However, listening to him talk back
to Angela really gave me a little bit of joy
in my life. And what is up with Angela? Her
testimony and all that she did in this trial. Her

(06:56):
voice is so different than her voice in this call.
She is like so high pitched, so argumentative. And the
part that really just made me question everything is her saying,
how could you tell Sophia that I'm her grandmother? What
you are her grandmother? You are not her mom? When

(07:18):
he spoke up to her and said you are her grandmother,
you are not her mom? I mean, yeah, accurate, she
is not Sophia's mom, and then Bulvine getting confused about
things too, because she's very much portraying to these children
that she is their mother, because she is trying to
restart the cycle of abuse that she has put her

(07:43):
kids through and now she wants to put her grandchildren through.
It is insane behavior. So I think, if nothing else,
this recording between Angela and Jake really shows you who
is pulling the strings here, and that, in my opinion,
I stayd on the hell is Angela Wagner. We are
now going to play another audio recording between Angela and Jacob.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Are you ever I told her one time of alive
he was a grandmother, Yon was a grandmother, grandmother, Grandma
Sanina was his grandmother. You're all and and very mind
then pick up my mother. No, he did be older

(08:35):
than this the other day whenever you all happen make
fat cows you guys. That's okay though, because you know
what it had caused some me things. It is going
off now.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I don't know how I'm gonna takes this problem, but
well you told me, but you don't hold you No, I.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Can't, I can't if you if you coad, if you coad,
not to pick something funk and not the believe.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Sophy, And then you had to have that other part
of why did you be just have to tell her
that that would be your only op.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
That's why I told you that.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
She said those I don't I That's just what it was.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
That was tell he told me. I was, don't Sophie,
I kick my wife. And I'm just saying he said, no, Jay.
But you know what, I don't care what you do
with your life. I don't from here on the house.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
When it messages with mine, all it message.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Life, please whatever, do not cause problems. And another thing.
The other thing is the next time that your wife
thinks he's gonna cause problems. Whenever I'm some time to
get stoky and we'll wind me call down for a
little bit. And you called me, and I am like, oh,

(09:57):
you couldn't get the bed. Let me tell you that
when i'm I need to tell you to be ready
to talk to you on the sound and I really.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Put them to dead.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I'll call you because I've never not done anything like that.
But you can tell uzzy unless you can sell asleep.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
And I didn't know. I don't mean I don't need
somebody how did you know I put them to bed
last night? Gates? That's told me coactly right. But all
her curtain, Well, I'll let me take.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
The sugar she calls do this, don't get hold up?
I called that then, sure that Sophie calls them before she.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Goes to bed.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Well, guess what that was hiding in her little bedroom
close us, in their corner wherever she hides all day long,
and it's all day long. So let me pay something.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
I don't like snipers.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
I don't like people who do stuff behind work. I
don't call spookie balls that's called that's very sure would
start this, learn of it, so she would call the wark.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I don't get Maybe she should have come to me
and said, hey, are you putting that to bed? Okay?
I reckon she didn't, So you know what.

Speaker 7 (11:05):
I and you should know what?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Good?

Speaker 2 (11:17):
What?

Speaker 3 (11:17):
What? Well? I'm want to tell you what I'm said.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I understand and wired that you make an excuse for
every single thing that that person does when you have
just a blind and can't I see the lie?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Why? Of course he is Jake. And if I meant
un up standing on my heart, right, I go on
the water I handle tell me that Jake, say it
to me, what I dare you to tell me? It's

(11:48):
some men's understanding on.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
My part or what I don't know that sings to
me every time I can conswer you to lye you
sing it hecat I a myth that understanding, or I
didn't know what I was.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Panting all my life because you have that fruit.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
She is fighting and everything.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
He gat it wasn't my face. Oh, so I asked her.
That's was what she said about that oral lets. She
told him that's what she's good what.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
She did, and he's good.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
You know.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
No no, no, no, no, no no no, that a way.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
That's what I mean. I can't go anyway, No no, no,
I said it happen like.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I didn't say put away, I say put it up
over there for huh.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
That's what I gay was something like that. So I
thing like that. There's a big difference day whenever I
got her the buddy over its fine.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Or where you can see it, like, oh, that's right
down and she puts it up in the top of
the cars, sat get it.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
That's a big difference than that. Yeah, but got the
mist other day she thought to good up to oh.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
How many is that a standing that gonna be gilet
could be a few mom, because I don't even have
the same make it third like see clearly that that
means for no reason at all, she wanted.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
To give me a light kicking r back misunderstanding.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Oh my god, uh oh, I told you. I told
you I would not not turk.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
I told you that you are a hoot. You was,
you'll be a little more of bella one and one
man jank. I mean I hold that man because that's
not doing yet. But which one is like five hundred
dollars call that's.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
My my my alget Jake that I barely ever take.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Well, I don't know what, but there's something all what
is wrong with me taking I'm just I'm telling you
how it is.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
I'm telling you what's.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Going on, and you're not. You're not stuffy, He's I
don't stuffy till I have been there.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Take it again?

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Still hell him back for you. I'll pet me and
tell me. He believes Bess over me. Oh she's you
know she's got you told him I never told her
that we had you did Jacob, and I didn't. Well,

(14:31):
you know what, I'm like you, I believe Sophie, and
I'll never put anyone else in front of Houg.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I don't know what you know what.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
I know you did, Jacob, I don't know you don't.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
I didn't say that.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Well then on the accident, Jacob, you never know.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
One day he could not find that.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
That's the last thing I ever gonna have.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
You, No, not one time.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
When you told me it was horrible, I.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Thought about a day and that I was so w
because you have somebody constantly bag you can.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Say bad things about you, and then taught you and
you can't hand it down that to you. And I
thought about that all the kind of house.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
You know, you went through that and I didn't know it,
And I thought, so that is you're my son. Well,
you know what your wife does, the insults of you
constantly when you're not away. All he ever does is
take that and stuff about you. When you tell me
how you're liking, you're so different, okayst of all, there's
a law.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
All lands a present. I thought that that's all, and
that you're naive and you're dumb, and.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I have a mother of a seller. You're always gone on.
But I like that, uh, And you know what you
would go oh, I'm sorry, and uh, you don't know
how to be a father, and so se on a
door set of how to be.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
A father of your full mind.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Now I go all a wait, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
You don't believe the thing I say anymore? So you
know what takes? I can't tell you anymore.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
And now you're some don't do anything I say. So
I can't even tell if something really happens, and you
don't listen.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
So he had no one.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
I look really quick, little funny about the dogs. But
I'm gonnabout and yeah, excuse me follows.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Thanks tak Let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
You want to move out, that's fine, and ye know
you take something, I can't stop you. But I want
to tell you something. If you take can live death.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
I'll never get it out. The rest they go, I
know some people being danger. She is danger. I can't. Yeah,
you can't think I d your parent? No, okay, I
know he is, so you not know? Yes I do?
So doing something is don't hold up off doesn't feel

(17:03):
like say I thought so, jacobs. When you convince a
four year old.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Then it was their fault that you stat off them,
And when the hurting their hair with the hair line
that you consent the four year old back.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
You are an evil person. So what.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I was talking like, y'all, I don't body the faces,
but so I do not tell her that. Okay, Well,
you know what, Jacobs, I'm never saying it nothing worse.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Whatever she feels, whatever she believes, I'm never saying another
words because she's just getting more up and I'm not
doing that feeling.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
But I don't do it on my account. But if
you love her, you need to think about and stop
thinking about yourself and somebody gave a thought myself. Stop thinking,
take up. Stop thinking that everything's okay because somebody tells
you something. It's not okay until someone tells you something.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
People are not worthy you should come back. Oh it's
like fall but she could go.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
It's your bottom if it's not one of the four
of us. If they're also not when they do in
feevable things to take them, it's not when somebody does
in peopleble things like bad and done.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I thought immediately know okay what.

Speaker 5 (18:42):
Be fought.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
But always I gotta watch your bo I'm gonna feel
what you thought that I was his way because stop
doing that. You know what it was all hanging with you.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
It's good, plain ripple.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Okay, never done that again. Yeah, that takes something, Jacob.
That takes something about people.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
When you put some people with time and I'm not
around and there's no one around to see it, she's
already gotten the way with getting something to believe. That's
the time of her fault and the way Beth was raised,
and then the mental issue she has with her family.
It'll happen again, and it'll happen again long. You'll never
know until.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
It's too late, because somethy won't tell you because she'll
be afraid that he'll be be scared to death that
Daddy will be upset with her, and she'll want something
Daddy wanted to make that you and you'll never know that.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Somebody can head. She did not CRUs So she knows
somethe cannot hear me, and she's not.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Giving it from me.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
And you're not blaming it's one on me, jacause this
one is all on you. I'm not blaming anybody wrong.
But she Jacky, she's one is old. It's what they
want she don't. So she tells you. You're like, well,
that's not a big deal because office whoever picked a

(20:07):
bos but having to pay down. I was like, it's
not a big deal, Okay, Jacob, that's fine, that's fine. Look,

(20:29):
I'm whatever, I gotta go. Yes, you need seeing without church.
I'm seeing, Jacob.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
I have faith okay here.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
And George needs kids from life together. And you need
to realize what's important because you're straying off the path
or that I had to do it off the power
of what she's faith got it.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
And that's kind of happy to deal with me.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Jacob. Well, I love y'all. Go. Why you luck? Okay?

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Jason.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Let me ask you something.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Do you think it's right to put movie in the
middle of something?

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Or you would here like, oh, let me tell you something, Jacob.
I don't trust her, allow bull. Why do you think
I don't want him in that that's up there. I
will never leave him.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Alone with her ever. While I love you, Okay, I
don't want to tell you all all.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
I don't want to tell you all else. Let me
say you something, Jacob. You don't think it's.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Odd that she said when she's been telling me about
what they did, counted up until a wild black when
she said what was I see how long?

Speaker 3 (21:47):
She said it was? She didn't even realize it was
just wrong what her father was doing. They what.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Did you not hear what I say?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
I can hear you, but the same, Well with that, okay,
first off, all very after your side.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
I told you you was.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
She gave me, and then I told you was twenty one.
She saw her person's offer and she realized they didn't.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
And I'm thinking, I'm gaga, and break it down in
the shark's office.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
If it doesn't matter, she knows where we are.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Take these sharks office and let her turn that people in,
let her file charges.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
I called her to do it. I asked her oftimes.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
He didn't do it. It didn't so well when he
couldn't stand him and stuff. And now you told me
she didn't have money for an attorney.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Well, you know what, people who are effectually abused by
family members and stuff don't need money.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Games all did I go just walk down and him
in got it's true. But I don't stop off the
hose double doors, and don't excuse what she'll have to
go to the board and testify. Don't by dropping all
the whole that go by. Hey, if you wanted to

(23:10):
get on the play like he did, you know that
a hard and then she's afraid of the older mothers.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Why because people say about his mom, I don't.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, she can, she can tell him, she can say
the course with us. But if she think she can't
really gets flowed up.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
Okay, thanky can't. That's one because she can't happen. Let
me can't something. Okay, if you doesn't do anything, he
didn't capting me just like Cappy in him those oh
yeah you know what you know again, I don't know

(23:51):
you gott you're in the.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Happy and by and just went with it and competing
her life and to say, well, they never got out
the brainwash.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
There's a different who's not doing something about who got
to take it right?

Speaker 2 (24:09):
And not doing something because God to move off and
it's possibility. But if they don't get consistent, then she's
afraid of what might happen afterward.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
There's a big difference as I got I know, I okay,
and I just don't want to deal with they don'tkay.

Speaker 7 (24:25):
I got hit this time.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
I can say that and they get the boss.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
So okay, let's say does the other side so anyway,
let's say about say he doesn't get picked this guys
not only.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Would that foot he put me, so thinks but she
live box? Oh what you here? You already heard here
all of it? Oh how did I put your bake
them bab Just tell me? How do you thank you?
Don Buck and head all that? Now we gotta deal
with people.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
Let's do a coming.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Oh I don't want to deal with that. Okay, Okay,
that's all right, Jake, forget it. It's all right. I'll
take care of himself all but forget it, Karen, say,
don't worry about it. Jake. Hey, I'll never ask you.
I'm not saying another thing. I'll never ask you nothing else. Okay,
Well what of them all the way? I know I won't.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
But well they're talking because you just can't understand it.
But it's possible that someone might pray differently. Okay, okay,
so it looks just a perfect life. But he's got
most differently with a normal funk. No, okay, it's the
fact if everything makes you are the one who told

(25:43):

gonna make some money, Jake, I want to playing the money.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Really, what are you gonna do that? Send them? What
are you gonna do? Yeah, you will never keep gake
And something was miserable there?

Speaker 5 (26:16):
That was fulle.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Well, you know what, you don't care what I think
or anything.

Speaker 7 (26:23):
I want you to go back.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
I ain't definite wanting to go back going on. Okay,
you can come up with some money, you can have
your go back. I'm sure that lawyers got back it
right way said that's it was not right what I
got to.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
I don't know that you did.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
You like shop or whatever. It's poky bucks self ball.
I'm not going that. Hey, you're gonna take her away,
You're away house, while I'm gonna take for a couple
of hundred yards away. Wow. You know, I don't know
how to care what I hunt card, but you're gonna
have pea curves that gate whenever.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
I'm not fairy.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Not?

Speaker 3 (27:03):
Don't tell me you're gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
It a lot to start about the.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Craft teacher, say, mom stalking too into her every day.
You can't quit insulting her. That's it came out. I
was so great to back out.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Everyone's really expecting those kids or not. So I think
someone else I'm gonna buy it.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Well, she's gonna buy it. It's not going into feature
the mother. We can't out help what look, I'm gonna go.
Don't worry about it, forget it, get out at anything.
I well, it's another that's just the time. She's gonna

(27:51):
slide her.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
So she gets your internet so she can the file
about her phone. Then the cracks here this is close
and the website. I mean, this is what I most
pure is dead.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
I don't this place, this place, this job. He thinks
in the world. I don't think Dan the world, Jacob.
But I never don't get where. But none of the
people in Alio let me want dolls don't.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Even know what she looks like.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Hey, I know. All I said, okay, gega. All I
said was thanks, Look, I got to get I can
forget okank. Yeah, I don't care. I don't care anymore,
but I don't want to hear it, never one about
I don't want.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
You know, I don't want to hear never one everybody
I have to hide or not. I like to be
high dud well.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
I never whatever.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Look I never got Okay, I don't get forgetting gang.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
I just gonna hate the thing. What nothing gang? I
got again? Hold a lot of old, I say, I again.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
Got Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
That was a doozy for sure. So keep in mind
these conversations started because beth Anne was going to the
library to use the Internet and look for jobs. This
is what all of this is coming from. I don't
even have words for how manipulative and gaslighting Angela Wagner

(29:32):
is to her son. I imagine that this is just
how the dynamic is in that household, and this is
literally what George and Jake have been raised in, and
that is so insane. It is insane behavior. Jake telling
her that she needs to take her meds made me lol,

(29:52):
And yeah, she has problems. There is absolutely no way
that every woman that comes in to her son's lives
has all of this sexual abuse trauma and is bringing
that trauma in and involving their kids like it just
doesn't make sense the probability of that happening three times

(30:16):
between Hannah, Tabitha, and now beth Ann. I just don't
believe it.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
I do not believe it.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
I feel like there might have been some things in
the girl's pasts that were traumatic and they dealt with
certain situations, but I don't think that present tense that
that was really a problem, Especially with Sophia and Bulvine.
I don't think that any of that really mattered in
the grand scheme of things. If they didn't deal with

(30:45):
their childhood trauma and things that they had gone through
in their lives, that is up to them to work through.
They are not necessarily bringing that into a relationship with Sophia,
a relationship with Bulvine, talking with Tabitha, and her relationship
with the Wagners and her son. Just because her family
hadn't been the best for her doesn't mean that she

(31:08):
wasn't a good mom too, Bullvine. I honestly think it's
just Angela projecting everything onto these girls and blaming them
so she could have power and control over her sons again,
because she saw these women as a threat, Hannah, Tabitha
and beth Anne. She saw them as a threat to
her relationship with her sons and her second set of

(31:32):
children her grandchildren. Don't dare call them her grandchildren though
none of that makes any sense to me. But if
by this point in time you can't see that Angela
Wagner is very much the one who is behind the
scenes popet mastering all of this, it is just truly
wild and crazy to hear these phone calls and hear
her say, let me tell you something, Jacob. She is

(31:55):
trying to be dominant over Jake, and tell Jake this
is how it is. You and George are in thinking right,
and you need to get right because you are straying
from the right way of doing things. Basically meaning you
don't agree with me, you're wrong. She is insane. This
next phone call we're going to hear is between George

(32:17):
and Jake Wagner, and we are going to hear them
chat a little bit about Beth Anne and the children.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
So here we go.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
I thought you were gonna mead you already that God
that don't remark that you know you're reading and if
you don't back by the wife and never thinking about
that some other caring about what happened. I don't know, God,
Doll your fine. I don't god that I wasn't an.

(33:21):
I don't work at the cat okay, thought I'm gonna
take you never done up platform that driepot my.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Drink that.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
They don't you got nott people do they drink? Stop?
Let me got a notount that he's not get me
it's got me done and.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
All they show very empty.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
Lee if you out. They don't work that way anymore,
and don't know. Don't not that baby? Do they they happen?
Why urble again? Why about my hands? We'll let me

(34:24):
make you go back? They want what not?

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Tell me?

Speaker 5 (34:27):
Why get ahead?

Speaker 4 (34:29):
N They don't work that you like?

Speaker 6 (34:31):
Okay, you don't tell me why.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
I won't tell you what?

Speaker 3 (34:34):
It's your boat and ain't my fault? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Get fit?

Speaker 3 (34:37):
They might don't count.

Speaker 6 (34:38):
They never count the vote.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
Aren't you walking?

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Are you go?

Speaker 6 (34:44):
If that what that one?

Speaker 4 (34:46):
What are you getting?

Speaker 3 (34:46):
They what?

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Fuck?

Speaker 7 (34:48):
You don't work anymore? It does because if don't want
your daughter, probably because they were laft a you play like,
oh you are not No, I w want it from
the white that you won't mony don't work, You don't

(35:08):
pet you don't want to look at off but down?
Why do you have that.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
We have thought that God.

Speaker 7 (35:16):
Breaking what you doing? That are people who up and down.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
With your money? I put it away in the play
roll here.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
We can help me get the way out. Okay you No,
I'm not you don't know what you're talking. No, I'm
not bringing up that.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
I did you talk?

Speaker 4 (35:52):
Get yeah?

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Okay, I have to take a break from the yelling
and screaming that is going on between Jake and George.
It's also not the greatest quality because this is the
wire taps that happened from the truck, So Jake's work truck,
George's work truck, whoever's work truck it was, whoever was

(36:51):
in the truck at the time calling the other one.
That is their recording, So it's not the greatest audio.
There is a lot of back and forth yelling. They
kind of sound very similar, so it's hard to distinguish
who is who, at least for me. But basically, George
is upset with Jake because he is believing beth Ann

(37:14):
over what Sophia has been saying allegedly. And it's just
such an interesting dynamic because despite them having carried out
this massive eight person homicide that essentially stemmed from the
same type of accusations against Hannah Rodin and her family.

(37:37):
They're now talking about an entirely different person, Beth Ann,
doing something I guess very similar, allegedly very similar to
what the Wagoners were alleging was going on in the
Rodent family and with the Rodent family, or having Sophia
around people that were possibly sexually abusing her. It just

(38:00):
never ends. And if this call shows you nothing else,
it shows you that George Wagner was very much involved
in all of this. You can tell how passionate he
is with everything that he is saying, So he is
just as much as part of this as Angela and
Billy and his brother Jake. They are all involved in us.

(38:24):
We are going to go ahead and finish this conversation
with Jake and George, and then we are going to
call it an episode, because this episode has been very
wiretap heavy, and if you made it this far, god
bless you, it's very interesting. Nonetheless, I like hearing them
say it versus me just talk about what they're saying,
because you really get a idea of how passionate these

(38:49):
people are about what they're talking about. And obviously they're
talking about an entirely different situation. Now we're not even
talking about the Rodan family. We're talking about beth Ann.
And this is how worked up this family is over
beth Anne, who is just an innocent girl from Texas
who did literally nothing wrong other than getting involved with

(39:12):
Jake Wagner. It is insane behavior. So we're gonna go
ahead and get back into that wire tap now because
I just had to give myself a break, and I
thought if I needed a break, you guys needed a
break as well. So we are starting the wire tap
back up in three two one.

Speaker 5 (40:00):
My mind nor that perk.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
I know better that not a lord while they and
not the world my mid mad may happened the book
again never again?

Speaker 6 (40:18):
Wait you there damn.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
Yet Brow never came in and he did get in
and the park the work you get purty.

Speaker 6 (40:35):
Never not no, no, what I'm gonna do?

Speaker 2 (40:38):
You not know?

Speaker 4 (40:39):
He gon g lay that maybe they shut me in
the whole dig not hold wait one day are you
mayn't know that you create birthday day and you wouldn't

(41:02):
get it.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
Be playing get up gig.

Speaker 6 (41:05):
You can't out the a's not.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
On the great Okay, that don't all right? What did
he ask you the hell the boy they.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Won't like you?

Speaker 6 (41:17):
Why there's not why God does that way be fighting?

Speaker 4 (41:31):
And you want not quite.

Speaker 6 (41:34):
The one hand number all.

Speaker 5 (41:39):
That's what happen to recall bah not there you think
you know how to pay what I got.

Speaker 7 (41:45):
To get the ball there around and they will get
day the right that thing wait in But I'm going
can't talking on not to the You're coming make them?

Speaker 3 (41:59):
Do you?

Speaker 6 (42:00):
If people don't want to then beginning, I don't care anymore.

Speaker 7 (42:04):
What age your pamp like that.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
My thirsday when I kind of like it, I want
your heart.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
I won't breathing.

Speaker 7 (42:20):
Pay okay, I got my ball before that day morning.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
I don't great there.

Speaker 4 (42:28):
I didn't play any work doing any day that my brother.

Speaker 7 (42:33):
Burn get in, they will want they won't be married Gordon.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
Great, don't the parents were all about it, no one,
We're all about you that you won't.

Speaker 7 (42:44):
About the burnt gray don't anything they get don't away,
don't get why.

Speaker 4 (42:58):
Brother going brom.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
There is a little bit more to it, but you
get the gist. They basically just go back and forth
about this whole situation, and there's a lot of screaming,
a lot of yelling, and it is just constant disagreements
between the two of them. It is truly just insane.
I don't have any other words for this whole scenario

(43:35):
other than insane. And keep in mind, this is after
they murdered eight people, so they've already committed this horrific
crime together and then all of this stuff is happening
after the fact. And this is like right as obviously
the wire taps are happening, so they are being watched

(43:57):
by law enforcement because law enforcement things that they have
stuff to hide, and they are going on these crazy
tangents about all of this other stuff that's going on
in their lives. And I think it's just very telling
of the kind of people that the Wagners were. They
were loyal to each other until they weren't, and I

(44:18):
think that's really what all of this stems from, is
that they thought that they could get away with it,
and then once they realized they couldn't, they started churning
on each other. And that is why we're here today
for the most part, So we are going to call
that good for episode nine. Next episode, we still have
a few more wire taps to get through. We are

(44:39):
slowly but surely churning our way through this case. After
these wire taps, I'm pretty sure the prosecution rests, and
then we're going to get into the defense's case and
we're going to hear from George Wagner himself, which for
me is the most interesting part of this whole trial,
and we'll eventually get to verdict, and then we're going

(44:59):
to ge two aftermaths sentencing for everybody and what is
going on right now with the Wagner family and where
everyone stands. So that is it for episode nine. Thank
you guys so much for listening. See you guys next
week for a brand new Unsolved case and a brand
new Pie County massacre.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
Episode ten coming up. I can't believe this.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Summer series is going to be so so, so long,
but thank you guys for hanging in with me. If
nothing else, this is such an interesting case and there's
so many twists and turns I just can't even explain it.
So I will see you guys then. I hope you
have a great week ahead and I will see you
next week.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Bye.
