Speaker 1 (00:01):
In this League podcast that word present Prospect one. So
Fantasy Prospect podcast prospect What with your host Chris Welch.
This is the Fantasy Baseball Prospect podcast. This is Prospect one.
I'm your host, Chris Welsh, who you can find on

(00:22):
Twitter and Instagram at is It. The Welsh Instagram has
definitely become more of a home for just random prospect videos.
So if you follow me on Twitter and you don't
see the Johnny Level videos of the world and stuff
like that, they're on my Instagram. So I'm putting more
highlighted stuff on Twitter. Instagram is a good home for

(00:43):
the rest of the stuff, so make sure you follow
me on both and of course over at in this
League dot Com that is the Patreon that is where
the Top five hundred Prospect list lives, Top four hundred,
Dynasty Prospect ADP group, me rooms, and a ton more.
Come and check it out today in This League dot
Com we got updates coming in the next week for

(01:04):
the prospect and the Dynasty ranks, lots and lots of movement,
So if you want access to that, you want to
support your boy, go to in This League dot Com
today Today on the episode you just got me, but
we are gonna be talking about some of my live looks.
I have seen quite a few of the great guys
out here in the Arizona Complex League. I still got
a couple teams I've got to check off the box,

(01:25):
which we're gonna do in the next week or so,
but I have seen some big ones like Charlie Condon,
who will talk about We're also going to take a
little trip over to the twenty and underboard. We're going
to take a look at fangrafts on the minor league
overall stats and I've filtered it to twenty and below,
and we're going to take a look at some of
the prospects that are standing out from there, and then
I've got some risers in the prospect list. I've got

(01:48):
eight prospects I'm gonna highlight to you there's six hitters,
two pitchers that are moving up the ranks, and you're
going to probably see some adjustments in the next rank updates.
So these are definitely highlighted players that you know are
going to be in the next update as far as
more significant ranks. So we're going to highlight also these
guys have been really popping off, whether it has been
over the last like week to ten days. A couple

(02:10):
of them are just kind of seasoned long crazies. So
these are be some interesting names. Probably a couple names
you could guess if you've been you know, ears to
the streets as far as the Prospect World and last week,
but also just a couple others I haven't heard a
lot of people talk about as of recent. So we've
got some rank risers, we got the twenty and underboard,
and we got live looks, so we got a packed

(02:31):
episode my friends. Glad to be back with you guys.
As always, you can not only find me on the Patreon,
but I also do my live streams Twitch dot tv
slash in this League or YouTube dot com slash in
this League, where I love the later week one we've
been Obviously, consistency is always the key at the end
of the day. The more people we can get locked in,

(02:51):
the more consistent we can be. So we're kind of
inconsistent with the streams because we're pretty inconsistent with the
you know, the people and the support and all that
type of stuff. We want to check it out go
to either one of those. But the whole point of
this is the later week. One love to put some
more focus on prospects. I think I'm going to do
a breakdown Abubba Chandler's last start. We'll break down any

(03:11):
prospects that you've got, so make sure to come and
join me. Those are usually afternoon ish on the East
Coast three four Eastern something like that. Come and check
it out Twitch dot tv slash in this league. That's
a really great place to support. But also we send
a YouTube link on Patreon, so got you covered on
all of those. Before we get into the episode, shout

(03:32):
out to sids Grafs. Make sure you check out Dennis
Sidler and all the incredible stuff that he's got going
on with major leaguers and some of the best minor
leaguers in the world. And he is a moving and
a shaken with a new client that I'd probably announced
soon and some others he's obviously been working on. But
autograph cards, bats, baseball's, helmets, jerseys, whatever it is for

(03:53):
some of the top in the game. He's got you covered.
Go to sidsgrafs dot com. Today, my friends, let's take
a little over to the Arizona Complex League. Obviously I
do more coverage of that than anybody else because I
live here and I'm sharing a whole bunch. It has
been a crazy, wild couple weeks of extended spring training,
and obviously for the Complex League, because in the last

(04:18):
week or so, you know, or the last two and
a half weeks, it's like I've had a hyper focus
on seeing Katel, Marte Jackson, Merrill, Clayton Kershaw, Rhet Louder, you, Darvish. Wow,
that's quite a list of major leaguers that have been
rehabbing out here. In the interm of all of it, though,
been able to catch plenty of great minor leaguers, and

(04:40):
there are some guys that are popping out here in
the Arizona Complex League. I mean, if you go and
look at the stats there, Yeah, there's actually one player
I am hyper focused on seeing here very very shortly
with the Brewers, Jose Anderson, who just putting it out there,
has been absolutely dominating. And this is actually somebody that
James and had talked about no relation of course when

(05:02):
we were doing our Complex League breakdown episode on Rode Wire,
was you know, with how aggressive they've been. There's a
couple guys to pay attention to on the Brewers one
on the Dominican Summer League side, but one on Jose Anderson.
And he's been incredible. Three seventy average, five twenty OVP,
three homers, he's tied for the lead. He's got as

(05:24):
many wa I think he actually has the most walks
in the league. Yeah, so he's got eight walks, he's tied,
but to eight strikeouts, three stolen bases, three homers, six
of his ten hits or extra base. He's a freaking
monster out here. But he's like one of the only
guys I haven't seen in person, but I've got I've
got to see a bunch of these others, and there's
there's some real players that are popping out here. Unfortunately

(05:47):
one has not been Charlie Condon. So if you did
happen to catch, you're gonna have known some of this stuff.
I was just recently on Eric Cross's show, The Fantasy
tool Shed. Shout out to him, by the way, his
first guest since the change. Him and Cross parted ways
in a positive way, but Claig doing his stuff and

(06:10):
Cross continuing with tool Shed. But I was the first
guest in this new era of Cross's show, and we
talked about Charlie Condon because I've gotten to see Charlie
a couple times in extended spring when he was doing
a lot of workouts. Definitely more of a positive vibe
was out there. When I saw him on Saturday, the

(06:32):
vibes were not as great. So I don't know at
this moment. I'll probably actually be able to find this
out by the time this show's done. Unfortunately, Condon head
said he was going to Spokane this week, but it's
been a rough go that he might still be here
and I'll they play in literally fifty minutes. They played Saturday,
they were off, Sunday, they played Monday, they were off Tuesday.

(06:54):
Since Saturday, Charlie Condon, there's only been one game he
has not played, so he's been off for three days.
So it makes sense that he would go off to Spokane.
The reason why he might potentially not go to Spokane
is he has not looked good and it could be
a multitude of reasons. So the video and what I
saw out of Charlie Condon in this full on game

(07:14):
he'd been playing a week, he'd been okay. You know,
this is a league where guys like these type of
guys should dominate. They really really should. Leading up to this,
he'd had hits in two straight games, nothing special though,
some strikeouts. He was around two seventy two eighty, just
doing nothing crazy, but getting it done. You know, he's

(07:35):
still coming back from injury. Then on Saturday it was
or remember I have the dates right now, this is
his game log. Then on Saturday it was a really
rough grow the Giants came over and he was zero
for three with three strikeouts. Now, I shared a little
super cut video of said game, and I don't know
if there's a Charlie Condon hate that's out there, it's

(07:57):
like one of the most viewed of the video. I
think I've said this before. Twitter's knew and their algorithms weird.
Now back in the day, you know, I've always loved
my tatist video that's pinned to my Twitter, but that
was far surpassed or in the AFL with the Jack
kgleone homer that he said was like five hundred feet
with their data they had in the dugout. Well, the

(08:19):
Charlie Condon three strikeout video is closing in on the
Jack cagleone video is one of the It's like half
a million views right now of people watching him strike out.
But the strikeouts are bad, and there's a concern. You know.
The first on the onset of looking at the video,
you see three strikeouts. You see him looking once, you
see him a really bad swinging strike, and then you

(08:42):
see him looking again. The first one. He kind of
complains about what you don't see, which I didn't post
is the entirety of the at bats where it didn't
look good. That was more of the concern and why
I put it out there, like, yes, you get to
see the actual physical strikeout pitch, but when you look
at the totality of it, his pitch recognition was really off.

(09:02):
I did note and I still hold two this. The
umpire was not good. He was not a very good umpire.
He had an inconsistent wide zone that didn't make a
bunch of sense. So I understood that, and I think
that's what came from the very first strikeout. If you
go on my Twitter and you check it out, where
he kind of goes, you know, a little explotive in there,
like give me a break is essentially what he's talking

(09:23):
about me, like are you kidding me? Type of strikeout.
But then you know that wasn't just a one off.
The next one, he gets hit with a fastball early
and there's a foul off and then he gets pitched.
I want to say it was like a let's call
it a slider. I'd have to go, I'm not looking
at the video at this moment, but let's call it
that it was a slider, and he eats the thing.

(09:46):
It completely throws him off. Well, now the swinging strike
is that now that he's seen this secondary pitch, he's
trying to cheat, thinking, okay, I can get to the fastball,
and he's cheating on the secondaries. Dude throws him a
fastball right down in the middle and he can't. Then
the same thing happened in the next at bat, where
it was as soon as some breaking pitch happened something
that wasn't a fastball, you could see that he was

(10:09):
now in a defensive, reactive mode that he didn't know
what was coming. And then I believe the last pitch
was like a slider down the middle that he watched
and he just walks off. It was. It was a
really bad outing. Now is Charlie Condon a bust? Now? Not?
After one? You know, one real good look because I
saw him in a workout. I didn't get to see
him in a game the previous time. But I think

(10:31):
what it does do is it raises a lot of
big questions of like this is in a you know,
one of the more prolific college bats who's out here
in the complex legue. I mean, look at Nick Kurtz.
Nick Kurtz is in the majors, just hit his first
major league homer right now, and Charlie Condon can't get
out of rookie ball now. Injuries could be holding him back.
That's fair. Adjustment period is totally open here, and small

(10:54):
sample sizes don't tell everything. But what I walked away
with it was, oh, his pitch recognition and really does stink.
It's bad. And there's a big strikeout problem. You know,
in rookie ball, you're getting seventeen eighteen year old pitchers
that are just blazing stuff by you. You're also not
really performing at a super great level in this league.

(11:17):
No pun intended in this league thing, but like, if
you can look, he's essentially played the first week of
rookie ball and he's at best a mediocre player across
this entire league. So it opens up some big questions.
Things could change. I don't want to, you know, call
him the complete bus, but I'm gonna move him down
and I don't trust the development of this team and
what I saw, though, again it is a very small

(11:38):
sample size, and all it takes for him is I
think he's definitely a destroyer of good pitches for sure,
and that can be great and guys can make livings
off of that. But I struggle to believe that there's
gonna be a lot of average I think there's gonna
be strikeout issues, and I'm moving him down the board.
You guys, go and take a look for yourself. Check
out the video, see what you see out of it.
A lot of I didn't realize there was a lot

(11:59):
of Charlie Condon out there, but there definitely was. But
there's also the whole there's the sec stuff, you know,
the whatever being able to know what pitch is coming
with the scoreboard and the cheating allegations of knowing the
pitches like that stuff is floating out there. So I
think that that's in your face a bit. But you know,
this is something that's been kind of dragging on as
much as fantasy. A lot of fantasy guys kind of

(12:21):
jumped immediately at that opportunity of like, oh my god,
he's in Colorado. It's the number one. Like there's just
a lot of warts that are out there. Developmentally, it's
bad and I have heard I'd been hearing some negatives
for a little while. But I was never a big
Condon guy in the first place. I wasn't like pounding
the table for Condon. I mean, not that I look correct.
I was like the Travis Bozana guy, but also kind

(12:44):
of defending some of Jack cagleone. So I think I
was a bit higher than most on CAGs, lower on Condon,
absolutely the highest on Bazana. And it's like where you're right,
you're wrong, that type of stuff. But I've got some
major concerns about Condon and I would imagined Saturday based
on how he was talking. You know, if he's healthy

(13:06):
and he played, he played six games, how much longer
do you need him in Complex Usually complex little rehabs
are a week or something like that. He's still playing
this week. Is that because they're concern do they want
to see something more out of him? Three of the
six games were multi strikeout games in the Complex League

(13:27):
it's not great. So I got some negative feelings on Condon.
I got some positive feelings on some other guys that
are out here though, Johnny Level Levelle. I'm gonna go
with Level because I heard a lot of his teammates
yelling Level, a lot of the Dominican guys screaming from
the dugout level Level Johnny, Johnny. There's actually a video
out on my Instagram to last night. I got to

(13:48):
see him versus joey Ok Joey Oki with the Guardians
who was pumping ninety six. He was okay, I was,
you know, throwing a lot of stuff that was nowhere
near the zone. And then when he threw it in
Johnny level getting hits, and I'm starting to walk because
I had some concerns. The body is not super impressive
with Level. But I will say this, he's getting the

(14:10):
I call it the Heraldo Perdomo slash Cooper Pratt vibe.
And that is every time I see him, he's making contact,
He's getting hits every time. And that's the let Like
Tyson Lewis does that, Cooper Pratt did that, Level starting
to do that. He's a tough at bat. He's got
quick hands, and he just punched one opposite field against

(14:35):
Joey Oki for a single, and then he proceeded to
immediately steal second base. So I believe that's his fourth
stolen base. He hasn't developed or shown any real loft
or stuff like that, but he's making tons of contact.
He looks pretty good. I'm gonna eat that a little
bit because I was a little concerned, but I'm pretty impressed.
And he hits the ball kind of hard. So if

(14:55):
you go to my Instagram, you can see I actually
posted the full at bat of Oki versus Johnny Level.
I've been pretty impressed with him. There are two guys
on the Guardians I'm gonna have to pull up because
I'm gonna screw up his name. One of them is
Robert Arius, who's a relatively popular name. Pretty interesting looking
athlete from a physicality standpoint, there's a lot of body projection.

(15:20):
He's fast, his swing is still a little a little interesting.
I think there might be some ways to go offensively.
But I didn't post this, but there's this video. It's
pretty good at bat, and then I don't remember who
the picture was. He gets really in front of a pitch,
thinking that it was going to be a fastball, and

(15:41):
it's a really awkward swing that Arius has and he
gets in front of it and then he has this
weird wobbly reaction, hits it into the ground and then
blazes to first. They call him out. He is safe.
I have it on video. He's safe, but he gets
called out. He's not hitting for average right now, only
one forty three, but he's got a homer and a

(16:02):
couple stolen bases. He does have like a three hundred OBP,
so it's like one hundred and fifty points higher. Not
actually striking out a bunch. Five strikeouts to four walks.
I think things are going to start going. He's kind
of an interesting athlete that I would pay attention to.
But the other guy is Juniper Kukeras, and I might
be saying that maybe incorrectly listed at five ten, one sixty.

(16:25):
He's a bigger boy than that. He's a bigger dude,
really really strong at bats. He walked. He pushed that
at bat to like two minutes. He's hitting three thirty
three with a four hundred OBP. He's got a stolen base.
He's got three doubles already in seven games. And he's
only struck out three times in twenty one at bats.

(16:45):
I actually think he he might be the better of
the guys between Robert Arius and him. So that is
Junipercras c ac r e s is the last name
with the Guardians. He's listed at five ten, one sixty.
He looked, you know, I don't know if i'd argue
with hype, maybe maybe five to eleven whatever, but he
looked more like a buck eighty. He was just he

(17:08):
was a thicker, thicker guy than what Arius was putting
out there. There might be something with him. I've heard
a lot of good things leading up to it last night.
Him pushing that him pushing that walk. He's hitting for
strong average. He's hitting in the middle of the order too,
so I want to say he was three, so I

(17:28):
mean they're putting him in the prime spot where Arius
was hitting five. So pretty interesting there on the Angel
side of guys, I've seen Yosa Lugo, Joswa, Joe Swa.
Yosa Lugo is definitely a dude at the top of
the complex league stats. He lives, he lives or he
has been one of the best complex league players out here.

(17:52):
I think he's tied or he's near the tippy top
of hits. Overall, he's a big dude too, body projection.
I didn't realize six', three one eighty, seven like that's
about where he's. At he's already had his first homer this,
year but he's hitting three eighty two so. Far he's
got four extra base hits in his first. Thirteen there
might be some some quality control. Stuff he hasn't. Walked he's.

(18:17):
Striking he's not striking out to an alarming, rate but
five strikeouts no walk something to look out. For but
one of the more physically, impressive like projectable guys that
are out. Here so just With, Lugo i'm putting a
full send on to move up And Many ramirez his.
Kid i'm going to be straight up with you. Guys
one of the cooler MOMENTS i have had was not

(18:39):
just catching The Lucas ramirez first career, homer which was,
cool BUT i posted it up after AND i got
not only a comment and reposting for Many, ramirez but
THEN i got the FOLLOW i don't get superjuiced about
like people, following BUT i was, like oh, WOW i
got Many ramirez following me because his kid's out, here
So i'm pretty stoked about. That but there might be

(19:03):
something there With Lucas. Ramirez Lucas ramirez really really strong at.
BATS i saw him the opening day Of Complex league
where he got hit on the hand and then he
immediately bounced back got two hits this. Game he had
a really bad defensive him AND i think it Was
Hayden castillo that collided in center field on a ball

(19:24):
AND i was, like oh, man it's just kind of
jumbali and, stuff and he bounced back from that kind
of error by just smashing this to almost center. Field
really great homer strong THAT i Think Josue lugo is
in a different world of his BUT i think there
might be something there With Lucas. Ramirez so let's keep
a let's keep a close eye. On let me give
you his stats here so far in The complex he

(19:46):
and by the, way they're actually the ones they're Playing
colorado in like thirty minutes from. Here but, YEAH i
guess he's down to one ninety that, homer FIVE. Rbi
he's not striking out, though WHICH i think that would
be relative to, encouraging but that is his only extra
base hit so. Far through six, games very very short sample,
size but many Or ramirez's kid is out. Here there's

(20:08):
a couple of great bloodline guys in The Complex. League
you've Got Jaden fielder who's out. Here you've Got Lucas,
ramirez and then soon you'll Have David Ortiz. Junior so
you've got some crazy blood lines that are out here
in The Complex. League BUT i would Say lugo And
level have been two of the more impressive bats That
i've seen as of Recent, obviously you guys KNOW. Jd

(20:30):
dix And Titus sissel are near the tippy. Top LUGO i,
THINK i would Say lugo And dix are kind of
a little bit closer levels Above cecil as far as
some of those. Players But i've still got a couple
guys THAT i need to take a look. At you,
Know Jose anderson might be one of the best out,
here and he's going to be a target over the
next couple of. Days, ALSO i should be out seeing

(20:53):
The rangers in REDS i think, today So i'm hoping
to get some more eyes on Y al Frand. Castillo
Paulino santana have had pretty good runs. Here castillo down
kind of tracking back. Up they've got a couple of.
Players and, oh by the, way speaking of, Bloodlines Scott,
hairston this kid is out, Here Jalen harston is, playing
so a lot of bloodlines in The Complex, league so

(21:14):
that'd be. Fun few Updates, Twitter, instagram that's where you
can catch all of. Those but those are some guys
that are kind of rising in this. League let's take a.
Break when we come, back let's look at the big,
board the stats on the, season and let's look at
only twenty and under. Players we're going to put a
focus on what that leader what the leaderboards look, like

(21:36):
how they're kind of putting it all, together and who
might be warranting rises and a few of these players
we're gonna mention will end up on the board at
the end of the show WHERE i give you eight
players that are moving up my. Rank so when we come,
back the twenty and understandout so far in this early
minor league, season SAY i like. YOU i like you so,

(21:56):
Much i'm going to make you my. Partner all you
have to do is find the gold And i'll share
it with. You fifty fifty prospect was so we went
over to our dear friends of our. Fangrafts we took
a lead look at the minor league leader boards and
then we put a little filter on it for twenty and,
under and that'll give, us you, know because the boards are.

(22:19):
Tough it's like all your statistical category leaders are like TRIPLE.
A then there's a couple, standouts you know those and
those by the, way it's it's a kind of good
way to look if you want to, know from maybe
a buzz, perspective look at the full boards and then
look when a high a guy kind of pops up
in whatever categories you're looking. At but we're gonna look
at some statistical categories of some standouts here of twenty and.

(22:40):
UNDER i will say, This please do forgive me if
WHEN i say a person's, age if Maybe fancrafts did
not quite update. It it looks relatively up to date
on most of, these but you, know just letting you,
know twenty and, Under i'm going by their age tags
And i'm not like clicking on every single one SO
i can see the birth. Dates but when we look

(23:00):
at hits for twenty and, under you want to talk
about a high, riser he's a top one hundred. Prospect
the player who is actually under twenty nineteen year old
league leader in hits Is Franklin arias with The Boston Red,
sox who has already moved FROM a To HIGH a this.
Season he's hitting three thirty, six leads all twenty and

(23:21):
under players with forty three hits so far this. Season
he's got two, homers nine extra base hits, total which
is pretty dang, nice pretty good walk to strikeout, ratio
as well five stolen. Bases the two, homers five stolen,
bases your league leader in hits hitting three thirty, six no,
doubt top one hundred. PROSPECT i think people just trying

(23:44):
to come to terms with how far and how high he.
Goes and Also Red sox kind of biased aside that we,
get you, know because there's so, many so many great
analysts in the industry that just happened to be Like
Red sox. Guy, also there's just so many damn Good
Red sox. PROSPECTS i, mean the pictures from what do

(24:05):
you do With Juan valera To Brandon clark And ely
and they just there's a lot of guys and then
they just keep turning him out on the minor league.
SIDE i think maybe the only fear would, be like
if you're banking On Red sox development and stuff like,
that possibility that if they're ever going to make any,
moves guys Like Franklin arius could be the front and

(24:28):
center of some type of a. Trade they don't seem
they never doesn't look like they're ever gonna Move Roman Anthony,
MAYOR i don't want to say is, untouchable but kind
of seems like he's not going anywhere anytime. Soon you
know that you want to replenish the, system but then
what are you going to trade? From if you ever
make a big impactful, move it could be a guy
like maybe it's Not, arius maybe it's like literally anybody

(24:48):
else you'll incestments or. Something this, one it's really interesting
because this GUY i hear nobody talk. ABOUT i talked
about him last year in The Arizona Complex, league where
you know he's kind OF i didn't even realize that
he had jumped to like this weird double a thing
at the end of the. Year but last year in
The Complex, League hit two eighty five had twenty two stolen.

(25:10):
Bases talking About Asbel, gonzalez a nineteen year old, outfielder
really good physical projection six, two one, seventy making a
bunch of, contact didn't strike, out had an almost four
HUNDRED ovp while he was out here in The Complex.
League then he had some weird like he went and
played like four games At DOUBLE a last, season which

(25:31):
must again been at the end of the. Season but
we were going to talk About Asbell gonzales no matter,
what because he's second in all of baseball in stolen
bases forty two stolen. Bases but you might not also
realize he's hitting three fifty three and his second among
all twenty or younger prospects in. Hits he's got forty two,

(25:56):
hits one hit Behind Franklin. Arius he doesn't have a
lot of or much of any power. Projection he has
like one career HOMER i think it is currently he
has no homers this. Season but he's an absolute strikeout
monster or a stolen based. Monster he's walking more than
he's striking. Out he's AN obp guy making tons of. Contact,

(26:17):
also strikeout rate is. Low As Bo gonzales is moving
up lists and needs to be on lists right now,
now maybe he will be nothing more than like A
Victor scottish type of. Retread but you, know if the
bat does start to develop some, power, great but you
know what if, not maybe he's just like a it's
like A Chandler. Simpson good obp doesn't strike, out gets on,

(26:42):
base he's scoring, runs he's. SCORED i, MEAN i wasn't
gonna look at this BECAUSE rbi in runs don't necessarily.
Matter he's technically. Tight you, know he is second in
all of baseball in runs of twenty or younger minor
leaguers thirty one runs he scored in thirty two. Games
as Bokens z is someone you need to pay attention,
to and he is someone THAT i have seen AND

(27:03):
i was pretty. Impressed you, know he was out here
with Like Eric torres and he was kind of the.
Standout So i'm a fan Of Asbo gonzalez And. Bowman
people will know he just popped up in The New
bowman as well As Bo gonzalez is kind of a.
Dude some others on the hit, Department Carlos gutierrez in
a ball he was twenty years old but hitting three
forty five with forty one, hits also seven extra base,

(27:26):
hits three, doubles three triples and a. Homer Aj ewing
that's a very fun. PROSPECT a And hi a now
twenty years old with The, mets hitting three point fifty
seven and fourteen of his forty hits are extra bass
variety while stealing twenty one. Bases Ej ewing was not
on the. LIKE i only highlighted a handful of players

(27:49):
in the. Like they're moving up. Ranks juwing one hundred
percent is forty hits in twenty nine, games with twenty
one stolen bases and fourteen extra base. Hits that's the most.
IMPACTFUL i, mean even if you're comparing To, arius if
you want to look for a guy that's stealing, bases
he has more walks than, strikeouts he has extra base.

(28:09):
Hits he's doing everything twenty and. Under a guy that
is going to show. Up this is number five on the.
List i'm only gonna go like top ten in hits,
here But Aroon, Escabar Aron escabar is definite. Dude watch right.
Now they list him five, ten one. Eighty he looks.
Bigger he looks, bigger and not a bad. Way pretty

(28:30):
relatively physically. Impressive he's hitting the crap out of the
ball in a ball with The phillies hitting three twenty
two seven. Homers here's a fun. Fact he has more
homers than the first four PLAYERS i just mentioned to you,
combined more than Aj, Ewing Carlos, Gutierrez Asbil, gonzalez And franklin. Gutierres,
now he doesn't steal. Bases he has one stolen base so,

(28:51):
far but nineteen walks twenty seven. Strikeouts the strikeouts are
a little bit more, prominent but nothing. Crazy fourteen extra base.
Hits he is crushing the. Ball he hits the ball.
Hard he's making a major, impact and he is one
of those guys that you, Know like last year he
definitely showed. Out he hit three point thirty eight in rookie,

(29:11):
ball three, homers nine stolen, bases way more walks in,
strikeouts like there was a dude watch on. Him but
this year the approach has changed and he's hitting for
some massive. Power seven homers in twenty nine games so
far and fourteen extra base, hits scoring. Runs he's putting
in a pretty GOOD rbi. Spot he's still walking while

(29:32):
striking out a little, bit but he's he's learning in
to be a bigger and better power, Hitter so twenty
year under he is tied with a couple other, players
but we have him at number five. Here Josuet dee
la pala is on that, list same amount of. Hits
he has actually less homers than a Run, escobar but
he is six, homers seven stolen. Bases he's hitting three zho.

(29:53):
One Maxton martin is super. INTERESTING i watched him and
talked to him actually a couple times In Complex. League
his the swing was jacked up last. Year it was,
weird super, upright super. Across his body looked. Janky they
must have fixed, it because, dude he's twenty and he's
got thirty seven. Hits he has got fourteen extra base.

(30:16):
Hits he has nine doubles with two, homers three, triples
and he's hitting two ninety. Four but he has thirty two,
strikeouts so a little bit. Higher number Eight Carlos sanchez
with The. Reds there's another one of those twenty and under.
Guys he's got a bunch of hits he's got if
you just want to, count like doubles and homers nine.
Combined he's stealing a few, bases hitting three forty, six

(30:39):
but he has the most prolific strikeout. Problem of the
top ten, Guys number, Eight Aron estrata with The Baltimore.
Orioles he's. Twenty he's at HIGH, a hitting three ten
no homers but seventeen stolen. Bases and Lizbel diez a
ball with The giants thirty six, hits hitting two fifty
seven and a shout out to number eleven because he's

(31:01):
also tied with Lizbel it's just how they they rank.
These Zayer hope has thirty six hits as well six
homers for stolen, bases hitting two eighty. Three every single
one of these, players but Lizbel diez is hitting two
eighty or higher on the hits marker of twenty and.
Under it's a very interesting list of. Names there's actually

(31:22):
some really great ones that move down here a little bit,
more but we'll see if we can get to. Them
on the, DOUBLES i like to look at doubles BECAUSE
i think doubles are a decent at least not one for,
one but a decent projection of future. Power with The
yankees at a ball twenty years, Old Brian sanchez is
tied With Argin nemala And Ty. Pete they have the

(31:45):
most doubles of any twenty or younger player in minor league.
Baseball right, now what stands out Argin namala was one
of those guys in the hits, department ten, doubles seven
homers at seventeen extra base, hits hitting two eighty. One
hat tip. Baby as much AS i thought the valuation

(32:07):
Of Argin damala last year was a little too, CRAZY
i THINK i always preached the same thing THAT i
don't ever write anybody off because development is not a linear.
Path it doesn't look. Linear right, now it looks, like
you know, what it, does look like a straight, line
and that straight line is going. Up arginamala hitting two
eighty one with seven homers so far in high eight

(32:30):
at nineteen years, old massive rank. Jumper so he didn't
make my top, eight but like he's one of those.
Guys and then just a shout out to my boy Type.
Pete you guys remember on the breakout episode i'd Put.
TYPEPETE i put him as the guy THAT i think
could jump in and be like a top fifty or
top twenty five. Prospect he's got loud. Tools he struggled

(32:50):
with the average early, on AND i gotta be honest with.
You his strikeout rate is actually. Laughable it's so. Bad
but he's got ten, doubles five, homers six dolen, bases
and his batting average is back up the two fifty.
Six but it is a horrifically fifty one strikeouts and one
hundred and twenty nine. INNINGS i got to quit these
loud tool guys with, strikeouts BUT i just can't help.

(33:11):
Myself if he, can he can bring that profile down
to not being as bad of a strikeout, Problem i'm
telling you a type heat is just gonna be a.
Dude he also might be one of those guys that
he's just fringy for a, while gets to the majors
a little, fringy and then he just pops off because
it's LIKE i, mean it's a, big physical dude getting
bigger every off. Season he's gonna hit for. Power he's

(33:32):
showing you sixteen extra base hits in thirty one games so.
Far you just can't live with that strikeout. Rate that's
That's ridiculoule me look, Too let me look at the
zone contact rate is so, far because that's a Big you,
know when we're when we pick on Lazarro. Mantes we
look at, It, yeah that's worse this, year sixty seven.
Percent that's really about you needed to go in the other.
Direction so we got to monitor that through the rest

(33:54):
of the. Season it's still really young into the, season
but he's swinging, more he's making less. Contact BUT i
think as of recent things have been a little bit.
Better but you, know he's on that. List moving Through
Samuel munos nine because we'ren doubles right, now nine, Doubles
frailer In carnassion With, boston nine, Doubles Johnny severino Former

(34:14):
brewer Now Pittsburgh, Pirate Michael, Arroyo Luis, Lara Jansvilla villavoreal With.
HOUSTON i can say That Zayer, hope that's your top.
Ten but also rounding it, Out max And, Martin Slade,
caldwell And Owen. Kerry these are all players with those
guys had, nine the top three had. Ten that's thirteen.
Guys fun, Fact Owen carrie's eighteen years, old hitting two

(34:36):
seventy six With atlanta in a ball he's the youngest
of that. List Slade caledwell the only one of these
players with the doubles that is hitting over three. Hundred
the only single player with nine or more doubles that
is twenty years younger or younger is hitting three hundred is.
Him so that's kind of an interesting like potential power
look actual power, numbers you're twenty or younger run Leader Jarrell,

(35:01):
perez but it does not come with, average and it
comes with. Strikeouts and this is nothing. New this is
like legit what he did in complex ball didn't hit
for good, average absolutely mashed. It he's a pretty he's gotten.
BIGGER i saw him right at the end Of White sox.
Camp but he just doesn't make great constant. Contacts SO
i don't know how much you want to buy into,

(35:22):
it but to twenty four, average that's not going to.
Do over thirty percent whatever strike out, rate that's also
not going to. Do but he is the absolute king
of homers right. Now wouldn't you know? It we set this.
Up there are six players That i'm about to talk
about that have seven homers that are twenty years or.
Younger and at the top of the. List just how it's,

(35:42):
sorted it's Last Las mantes hitting two seventy five strikeouts
have come. Down he's hitting seven homers seven, doubles he's
got four. Triples the hell did that? Happen in a
couple stolen, bases and let's go take a little. Look weirdly,
enough contact rate is still, low so he's not going
to get a ton of industry. Love, still it's actually

(36:03):
gone down about a percentage and a half or so
from what it was last. Season it's at sixty eight point,
three which is really. Poor yet he's hitting two seventy
five and he's got a ton and ton of extra base,
hits and he has twenty four. Walks so still Like
Laz freiley And carnassion With boston has got seven, homers
he's hitting two seventy five a Run escobar with. Seven

(36:27):
he comes in at number, four hitting three twenty, three twenty.
Two Eduardo, kintaro who we SAW i saw a lot
of in The Complex league last year AND i Love
he's got, seven hitting three. Thirteen Argin namala And Connor,
griffin both hitting two eighty. One both have seven, homers
But Connor griffin has thirteen stolen. Bases the only players

(36:48):
that have double digit stolen bases of that list Are.
Edwardo quintaro has fourteen seven homers fourteen stolen bases in
a three to thirteen, average and Then Connor griffin has
thirteen stolen, bases seven home with a two eighty one.
Average both of those guys a little bit of a
strikeout issue to watch the bottom of this. List with
the twenty or younger, homers there's actually, like instead of

(37:12):
eight to, ten it goes down to. Fifteen So i'll
give it to. You these are guys with six or more.
Homers Ros Mond verdugo with The, padres but he's hitting
two thirty. Five Reuben santana with The, diamondbacks but he's
hitting one eighty. Six Josue, brassino WHO i still do.
Love he's got six. Homers he's hitting two forty. Eight
see if he bounces. Back Yosweh De paula has got.

(37:32):
Six he's hitting three oh. ONE. Edwardo tate With, philly
he's hitting two eighty six with six, homers and then
he Got Miles, Naylor Zayer, hope And Ralphie. Velasquez But
vasquez and Or velasquez And naylor both hitting under two.
Hundred so the only guys with six or more homers
that are twenty or younger that are hitting over three
hundred Yolsweh De La, Pala edward, o'quinto And Aarun. Escapar

(37:57):
quite a, list quite an interesting. List that is why
we're gonna be talking about is a move in on
up just as a quick little, aside not to give
it too much, attention but. WALKS i think this is
an interesting because there's a couple of names that stand
out your walk leaders so far that are twenty or.
Under number one Is Slade, caldwell thirty walks in thirty

(38:18):
games he has and he's nineteen years. Old Adonis massias
With texas has twenty eight that is more than his
Strikeouts Byron, churio one of The, churios he's twenty, Seven Max,
Clark George, lombard and then you got a handful of.
Others but what's interesting here Is lombard And Max clark
both have more walks than strikeouts and are hitting over three.

(38:41):
Hundred Slay caldwell has more strikeouts than his. Walks but
we'll here you go. Again of the top ten and
walks at this age, group SO i don't keep saying,
it there are four players that are hitting over three.
Hundred Slade Caldwell George, Lombard Max, clark And josue de La.
Paula there's a little. Correlation those players are pretty damn

(39:03):
good and they have more walks than, WELL i GUESS
i just lied. To paula has one less walk than.
Strikeout but, still to my, point those are some pretty
dang good players that are high walk top ten in,
walks that are also hitting over three hundred and the
name really really stands. Out one that just jumped out
to me On Andrew. Sollas by the, way he has

(39:24):
as many walks As Yosuet dee La, paula seventeen years
old at a ball is hitting two ninety, two twenty four,
walks twenty five Strikeouts i'm, sorry twenty, yeah twenty five,
strikeouts eleven stolen, bases making tons of, contact but he
just doesn't have any power right. Now he's got one
triple one double of his what is that twenty six

(39:46):
hits only two or extra base. Variety but that's very,
encouraging especially when our other Friend Ethan salas is in
massive struggle bus. Range ethan is back down here In.
Arizona actually just saw him the other. Day they, said you,
know he has a stress reaction in his. Back, FUNNY
i will say this is When Jackson merrill was. Rehabbing

(40:07):
he got, up he went into how puria. Works you
have to actually walk through the. Facility and then when
you're on the fields and you're staring at the fields
that you guys have seen in my video behind you
is they have a training, field and then it's the
facility with. Cages you know it's right. There but he
walked and went back to the, cages put a ball

(40:28):
in a, tee grabbed a bat and started. Swinging AND
i was, like don't look like a guy with a
stress reaction in his. Back looks like a guy that
they think they need to calm, things slow things down and.
Retool but who AM i to? Say said he's going
to be out for two months at, least And Andrew
slis is looking relatively, solid and then the other, one
we'll take a look. Out we're actually going to look

(40:49):
AT wrc plus in a. Second but stolen, bases you're number,
one who's twenty or. Under that's Aswell, Garcia John, Heel
John Giel atlanta twenty three stolen bases only two thirty.
Nine Aj ewing is number three in this age group
of stolen. Bases Luis paania tons of hype On Luis,
pania AND i think it's. Deservedly so he's got some

(41:11):
pretty monster exit velocity. Numbers he's been registering nineteen stolen.
Bases he's number four on this, list hitting three twenty.
One he's got nine extra base, hits so he's looking
kind of like Aj ewing nine walks to only seven.
Strikeouts so also the plate discipline. Ridiculous kevin Adal hildalgo With.
Colorado he is tied With Aaron estrada From baltimore who we,

(41:34):
Mentioned Kyle henley With, cincinnati and then the next Three
Jared elkins with The, Dodgers Braylan, payne And Eric. Hartman
But Aeron, Estrada, Pania, ewing And Asbel gonzalez are the
only ones hitting over three hundred with those stolen. Bases pretty.
Interesting your most prolific extra base guy is Definitely ajewing on.

(41:57):
That so if you're trying, to you, know piece some
of this stuff together on who's doing what and what,
correlates that's that's kind of the math that you end
up playing of like who are guys that are gonna.
Pop NOW i guess now That i'm looking at this
from THE wrc plus, standpoint it's a. Disaster it's a
mess because you get twenty and, under you get short
sample complex plex. Leagues BUT i will say if you're

(42:18):
looking for non complex league, players number one is Aj
ewing with a one eighty W rc, Plus so if
you're just looking at a, ball he is number one
IN wrc plus of. Value number, Two Carlos, sanchez number,
Three Slade, caldwell Josh Adam, Adams zwinski with The, brewers

(42:38):
And Javier. Magalin those are top. Five number, six by the,
way A Ruin. Escobar moving on, up those are your
number ONE wrc plus that have been playing at least
in full season if you do count. Complex just as
a side, Note Jofree solano With miami has the. Highest
Jose anderson with The brewers is number, Two ronnie Ol

(43:00):
rodriguez with The cardinals is number. Three so those are
some familiar names we know as far AS wrc plus.
Goes all, right so let's go now take a look
at the pictures just for a. Moment this is going
to be a lot less because there's only so many
things we're going to look at but for twenty and
under pitchers that are leading in. Strikeouts Sean lennon with

(43:21):
The Los Angeles dodgers has had quite a frickin' run
so far early. On not the biggest guy in the
world physically looks feels like there could be some relief,
risk but he's like fourteen k per nine right now
WITH a ONE. Era he has the most strikeouts of
any pitcher twenty or younger so far and an INCREDIBLE.
Era he's going to be on THE era list here.

(43:43):
Too Alex klemy comes in at number two with eleven
less strikeouts Than, lennon and by the, way should Mention
lennon fifty three strikeouts to only eleven, walks Where Alex
klemy has forty two to twenty seven. Walks quite a list.
Change this is a GUY i talked With Tim kannak
about Way In, lynn nineteen years old with The. A's

(44:06):
he's tied With klemy but has three. Walks if there
are two young pitchers that you want to speculate, On Sean,
lennon L I N A. N i'm obvious saying that
wrong and Way In lynn are two GUYS i mean
ridiculous walk to strikeout. Ratio i'll take a look at
that in a. Second it's going to be just. Berserk

(44:28):
Raimi rodriguez With houston forty one. Strikeouts he comes in
at nineteen years old with The astros at number. Four
christian Z azuda with The dodgers has there's a big
drop down to thirty, two and Then i'm gonna come
to cherry pick a little. Bit But Gary, Hill Gary Gil,
hill twenty years, old twenty four strikeouts in thirty four.
Innings he this list gets kind of, wonky but he

(44:51):
comes in at number. TEN i think that's that's a
little bit. Interesting on the era, front The Complex league
screws it up a little. Bit Sean lennon is number
one with the lowest of a non complex leak pitcher
Because i'm not going to count. Them number two Is
Gilberto battista with The Blue. Jays twenty eight strikeouts thirty
one innings with a one to seven to FOUR. Era
we like. That Uh Lannel seguaro with The cardinals at

(45:15):
a ball has a TWO era over seven starts And
i'm looking, here only six walks in thirty one. Innings
there's another guy that we want to pay attention, to
Uh Melvin hernandez with The brewers at two three THREE,
era and then we'll do one More christians Z zu Actually,
zezuta And way And landa the next ones at three
point zero three and three point five. Eight so when

(45:36):
you look at like surface level stats like, That so
now let's go TO k minus walk. Percentage so this
is going to be the valuation of taking THE k.
Percentage obviously the minus a walk, percentage but when you get,
THIS i mean it's the sample size to screw this
up a little. Bit but like when you get this
into the, thirties we're talking ridiculous. Stuff we're not going

(45:57):
to count complex league. Players but number one in full
season ball is Way In lynn with a thirty five
point five PERCENT k minus walk. Percentage that's, ridiculous and,
duh if he has three walks over, THAT i expect
him to be. There he is number. One number two
is The Sean lennon who has a thirty two point

(46:19):
eight PERCENT k minus walk. Percentage these are absolutely freaking.
Elite so we now jump down to which is a
little bit more real, life where we go down to
twenty one point. Two this is number. Three Ramy rodriguez
with The astros. Again, okay so now we've gotten a couple.
PINGS i just want to mention we've got a couple
pings On Rami. Rodriguez we're, like, okay k's are up.
There he's not. WALKING k minus walk percentage looks really.

(46:42):
Good he's held batters to one thirty, seven pretty, solid
and he has an X fip that is lower than
his actual. Era number Four Lionel seguero with The. Cardinals,
again there's another one twenty point THREE k minus walk,
percentage which we like to. See Gilberto batista comes in
at number on Five toronto a ball eighteen point nine,

(47:04):
percent so you can see how it starts to come
back down to earth just a tiny. Bit and then
the final thing we're going to look at for the
pitchers is the swinging strike. Percentage not gonna do complex,
ball But i'm also gonna do complex ball for a,
minute because there's one guy hadn't mentioned that is also
on The brewers THAT i really want to. See he
technically has the highest swinging strike percentage in baseball and

(47:25):
minor league baseball of twenty or, under but he's only
pitched eight. Innings Ethan dorchi's big six foot five pitcher
Who i'm dying to see thirty seven point nine. Percent.
Ridiculous but remember we're not looking at those. Guys number
one in a or higher that is twenty or, Younger Sean,
Agan Sean lennon seventeen point two swinging strike. Percentage that's

(47:46):
a great swinging strike. Percentage Wayan lynn is number, two
sixteen point four. Percent Raimi rodriguez number three fourteen point.
One now we're getting into some lower percentages that don't
maybe mean as. Much Grant, Bowman Christian's, azuda And Gilberto
batista some of the same players we're talking. About but you,
Know Raymi rodriguez is someone we probably need to take
a closer look at because he has kind of showed

(48:08):
up across the. Board so twenty or, younger you're looking
at twenty or younger future. Standouts there are some guys
that everybody knows. About there's some guys that are heavier
in the prospect streets that already knew about a Run,
escobar but a Run escobar jumps up this. List lynn

(48:28):
and weigh In, lynn both of those guys jump up
this list from further down names to middle in names
that we need to take more, serious LIKE i, said
a Run ESCOBAR i think is the prime, example and
aj ewing to then the bigger names like The franklin
Arius is of the world and even At edward o'quinto.
Quinto these are all players that we want to put

(48:49):
more of a hyper focus on that are going to
be moving up everybody's. List because as, well WHEN i
show you this the statistical stuff to, this this is
going to like some of the the the robot, systems you,
know like ROBOS i imagine robo. Scout Robo scout's got
a LOT i, think even more intuitive than. Most but

(49:11):
you're gonna have a lot of these algorithm systems that
are gonna look at a lot of this stuff and
they're gonna create big high scores and everyone's gonna be, like, hey,
listen you Know Rainy rodriguez is one of THE Da.
Dad so we're just kind of getting your head just
like showing you what some of those stats are and
throwing you out. There BUT i think there's different levels
of players that are going to be moving up lists,

(49:31):
here and that takes us from the twenty and under
to my top eight of players that are really going
to be moving up in my next rank. List we
have talked again about a few of, those Like argentamala
is going to make a big move Aj, Ewing but
these are eight players THAT i have targeted that'll be
moving up my, list and a couple that we haven't
even mentioned, yet and we will do it right for

(49:52):
this eight players that are moving up The prospect one.
Ranks They're they're not the only, ones my, friends but
these eight guys that are getting a little bit extra
treatment at least to talk about a few of the

(50:13):
players we've actually already, mentioned WHICH i GUESS i can
burn through a tiny bit, more but these are some
players that had significant. Moves number, one we're actually gonna
have a Couple brewers, Players Louise, pania and a lot
of this, is you, know like early season and like
what we've talked. About we've talked a little bit About Louis.

(50:33):
Pania the last rank ump date was coming into coming Into,
may so this is at the end Of. April but
not only statistically have we seen an incredible year From
Louise pania three eighteen average four hundred. Obps i'm. Recording
this h is first homer twenty stolen. Bases he has
more stolen bases THAN, rbi and that's not set in

(50:54):
like a, negative you, know negative. Way he's got NINETEEN
rbi in twenty one. Games that's really impressive as well,
Well but it's the contact in the way he's been
hitting the. Ball guy's got nine extra base hits so
far of his twenty seven and we have seen some
really strong exo, velocities not only average ex, velocities but
ninetieth percentile average x, velocities top fiftieth percentile xo. Velocities

(51:18):
he's hitting the ball, hard you, know don't have access
to all of the, data but being able to, see,
like you, know as he is continuing to barrel where
he starts to get the ball in the, air as
he kind of progresses through with the type of contact
that he's, making it's. Huge ten walks to twenty stolen,
bases we don't have like a big strikeout. Problem remembering

(51:40):
his age age to level, two eighteen years old in
SINGLE a like him And moday are both being put
in like a really really big. Spot but there are
some people out there that, think like as good as
moday is we might be in a spot Where Luis
pania could be as good or maybe. Better but you,
know we consider my AND i did as, well like

(52:01):
as a top ten. Prospect But Luis, penia he's in that.
Conversation he is definitely in that, spot making a ton of,
contact significant counting stats and this is definitely one of
those we look at doubles and we're, like, man he's
got seven doubles so far in twenty one. Games it's
a fewer future power, projection especially because of those hard hit.

(52:22):
Numbers So Luis pania in the last update was somewhere
in the top, five top, one top five. Hundred yes
he was somewhere in the top five, hundred but inside
the top one. Hundred paya is legitimately looking at pushing
To he's in that top fifty range simply from age
to level progression future. Projection it's sometimes hard comparing him

(52:43):
against like guys that are really, close but from a value,
Perspective Louise paenea has a legit shot of BEING i,
mean IF i want to be like you, know like
buzzy about, it like it could be like a top
twenty five prospect at the end of this. Year i'd
also say make over the next. Me here's a better
way to say it instead of, just you, know trying
to get everybody all hyped. Up if he keeps doing
what he's doing as he, progresses because you know the

(53:05):
next step is going to be what's hya look like
he legitimately can be a top fifteen prospect over the
next two, years OR i think it's better said to
be like legitimate top twenty five, prospect no doubt over
the next two. Seasons let's see where he is through
the rest of this, Year let's see what next year looks.
Like how many levels do they? Push i'd imagine this

(53:26):
is like SINGLE a for a, while he gets To HI.
A maybe he gets that tiny little baby cup of
coffee In september when seasons are, ending but it's really
like a HIGH a. Thing and if he just continues
at this, Level Luis, pana he's going to be the,
dude and he's going to be the big value out
there as. Well he's going to be the guy that

(53:47):
where there is no acquisitional cost that makes sense for
a guy like made he's top, ten you could sell him.
High But paenia might be acquirable out, there by the
way as well In. Carolina not only versus right. Handers
is he hitting he's a switch? On is he hitting?
Too where you go? Too ninety? Four but he's hitting

(54:07):
over four hundred against left. Handers just he's been absurd
and he's a huge rank. Riser but he's not the
only brewer that's a rank. Riser and this isn't a made.
Thing this is a Brock wilkin. Thing Brock wilkin has
been on a freaking. Tear. Now it started In, may

(54:28):
so he Finished. April so let's look at the season.
Total actually first two forty, one ten, homers a stolen,
base four to twenty six BATTING. Obp it's, okay you,
know if you just look at the total season, number
you're just, like you, know a GREAT obp. Guy he's
always kind of been that in. General, uh he's got
thirty five walks to thirty nine. Strikeouts And i'm CERT

(54:51):
i mean thirty five. Games he's walking every single, game
he's striking out, once he's walking, once and for all intentsive,
purposes he's hitting an extra base h hit every other.
Game so the season total is just kind of. Whatever
april was not. Good there was not one point after
the first game of the season where he was one

(55:13):
for three three thirty three. Average there wasn't a point
In april where he was hitting over two, hundred over two.
Hundred he did hit two hundred On april, second but
everything else was under two. Hundred so he goes Into
may hitting one sixty. Four so think about that after
a full month of the. Season he's also raised his
batting average eighty points In, may Because may he has

(55:35):
been rushing. It through thirteen games In, may he's hitting
three seventy two with a four to sixty TWO, ovp
a nine hundred. Slug he has seven home, runs seven
home runs so, far eight to eleven walk to strikeout,
ratio ten extra base hits of his sixteen overall. Hits

(55:57):
he has got homers in three straight games As i'm recording,
this and he's got homers in five of his last seven.
Games or IF i really want to play it out,
here let's do. This he's got seven of his last
ten games he's got a, Homer so you know he
has been doing it in short. Clumps multi hit. Games
he's got three of his last five games have been

(56:18):
multi hit. Games the strikeouts are you, know they're coming
down a, bit there's you, know there's still like their,
ish but forty three at bats eleven. Strikeouts Brock wilkin
is locking the hell back in man and that's a
big portion of what we're looking. For gonna be awesome
when he can move up To TRIPLE a and we
can start to look at some more of the bad ball.

(56:39):
Data we can look at like the hard hit, numbers
because Brock wilkins also always hit the ball. Hard you
can see he didn't have a GREAT, afl but you
can See i've got at least one or two homers
that he absolutely crushed struggle with. Average but you, know
when he was in college At Wake, forest not only
did he have like just like really great overall max

(57:02):
and average ex of, velocities but he hit for average
huge obps like and that kind of fell. APART i will,
Say Jeff ponce just did an article and it's definitely
going to be worth checking out because there's so much into.
This but it's this great article that also talks about
how like the adversity that he faced he got hit

(57:23):
in the face by a ninety four mile an hour
fastball last, year and there's like a there's a mental
struggle and hurdle to try to get back. To and
there's some quotes in here From. Wilkin he, said, uh
first at, bat what was? This this was to get
mentioned To da. Da this was returning to playing against
The Arizona complex Like dodgers last, year WHICH i don't

(57:46):
matter IF i was at that, game but this is
after the getting hit in the. Face he, says first at,
BAT i fell off the first PITCH i, saw and
it was the exact same pitch THAT i had fouled
off BEFORE i got hit in the, face same, spot same.
Pitch what are the chances that mental side and read
the whole article that comes in, There but there are
also some other little Adversities i'd heard, about not even
like crazy adversities like, nuts but there's just a lot

(58:06):
of stuff plus getting hit that maybe there was a
full year of. Readjustment and it speaks again to maybe
a nauseum of the non linear path That rookie's face
that is kind of a lost ish, year or you,
know maybe you could look at it a different. Way
maybe he learned a, lot learn the traits that you

(58:26):
want to. Avoid you, know he hit only two hundred
over one hundred and nine. Games it's a full. Season
there's that struggle that kind of carried with. Him he
kind of carried it into the early part of the.
Season it's also fair to, say by the way that
what we're seeing right now might be a little bit
more mirage because it was last year to THE afl
into this year up until Essentially May may first hit

(58:48):
and things. Reclicked but it's it's a possibility to say
that you got a player that kind of lost themselves
for a, year And may you're re seeing what has
made him such an intriguing. Prospect So i'm more than
comfortable kind of popping him back up and bringing him
back up into the. Fold i'd like to see the k's.
Drop but there's huge. Power he looks to feel comfortable.

(59:12):
Again he's. Walking and that's the other big thing is
like he had a three FOURTEEN ovp last. Year he's
over four twenty six right. Now like that's that's. Wild
so there's a lot of. Stuff that article also does
a much better better job by the way of kind
of explaining a lot of the Stuff i'm talking, about
where the issues with the eye and eye tests that

(59:34):
he had and how eyes. Converging there's a lot of
really interesting stuff if you want to if you're open
to the possibility that, like oh, yeah like the whole
year was kind of just holding him back and that
maybe he's unlocking. Stuff jeff did a really great job
on that that you're, good you guys are gonna want
to check. Out AND i Think wilkin might be locking
the hell back. In and it's people that are really

(59:54):
locked in know over the last like two weeks that
he's been going. Off but if you just have stat
watchers and you see him hitting two forty, one people
might be indifferent about it might be a good time
to potentially go buy On Brock wilkin number three on this.
LIST i guess there's a little part of this that
could be like how much higher can this guy? Go
especially in my personal. Ranks i'm not sure where everybody

(01:00:14):
else had, him BUT i already had this guy really.
High but we are locking and stepping into a brand new.
Level and we were talking About Braden montgomery with The
Chicago White sox WHERE i said that when that initial
trade went, down even With Kyle, TEAL i, said watch.
Up Raid montgomery might be the best piece of this.
Trade Raid montgomery is massively, undervalued such a good late first,

(01:00:36):
round first year, player first round pick that people were
getting as he was, falling and he is locking, in
and he has done this on a double sided piece
because not only did he go to some would argue
like a low assignment just at LOW a ball where
he hit three or, four stole six, bases hit three,
homers but has since then been brought up To HIGH

(01:00:58):
a been. Better so you could still argue as a
twenty two year old That Braid montgomery maybe is still
affiliate wise a little too, low that he should be
playing in DOUBLE. A but WHAT i would say is
going to after the injuries that he struggled, with you,
know missed, time and then going and playing at TWO
a ball levels and really not missing a. Beat he's

(01:01:20):
striking out like less AT. Hya he's so far on
the year between these two levels hitting three thirty one
four EIGHTEEN obp with a five eighty seven slug three
four to five slash friends plus he's got seven stolen
bases with seven. Homers seventeen of his forty hits have
been extra base. Variety he's driving in guys because he's
putting in a great spot over one thousand, ops which

(01:01:42):
you love to. SEE i Think Braid montgomery is kind of, solidifying, like, oh,
yeah this was a guy you know in college that you,
know had he not hit without, injury like he might
have been one of the more intriguing overall offensive. Prospects
and maybe just to throw this out, possibility had he
not have that injury and was, playing maybe The Red

(01:02:02):
sox don't even consider trading. Him but he looks. Fantastic
he's one of the most Exciting White sox players out.
There you could argue that maybe he is the guy
even in a world Of Hagen smith And Noah schultz
if you just want to go on the batter, side
but a, tiny tiny bit more to go for to push.
Levels but he has met every single call wherever you're.

(01:02:23):
At even if this isn't like my rank going through
the roof or anything like, that maybe just pay attention
because his VALUE i think is hitting to a new.
Chart number. Four we did talk about this guy quite a,
bit and actually the next three guys in that twenty
or under we had put a big focus, on So
i'll just kind of clump them in a little bit.
Together but these three players are seeing a significant boost

(01:02:45):
on my ranks in this ONE a Run, escobar of,
course he was popping up across the board three to,
eleven four HUNDRED obp so, far nine hundred. Ops he's
a three four to five slash, guy seven, homers seven.
Doubles as, mentioned he's looked. Great we just want to
see him push another level. UP i think that's going
to be the next big. Key you. Know he had

(01:03:06):
been in The Dominican Summer league for two years twenty
two and twenty, three played in THE fcl last year
where he hit three thirty. Eight he's in a ball,
now but he is twenty years, old you. Know so
that's the one thing that we're looking, at, like there's
not that twenty years old is necessarily like way overaged
at those. Levels because IF i, think you, know AND

(01:03:27):
i had done this a long time, ago where you,
know pulled out like the average ages and exkews. It
but if you're you, know because it's like whatever TRIPLE
a is like twenty four and twenty three at DOUBLE
a or, whatever but in, reality eighteen year old and
under and complex is, good nineteen is a little pushing.
IT a ball somewhere between eighteen and nineteen is on

(01:03:50):
the younger. Side twenty seems a little. High HIGH a
twenty is, good nineteen to, twenty DOUBLE a is probably
that twenty to twenty, one maybe twenty, two and then
TRIPLE a is like anything over twenty. Three we're starting
to put. Questions that's more of a realistic average range
where we start to, say, like, oh you, know maybe

(01:04:10):
this guy's a little bit older for this. Level you
could maybe make that argument with a Ruin. ESCOBAR i will, say,
though that he has not logged a full season worth
of of minor league games until. Now so he has
one hundred and thirty five career. Games so if you
look at it from that, perspective one full season through
where his career numbers two sixty seven to four to oh,

(01:04:31):
four you, know like it looks a little bit aage average.
Ish what we really want to see where he takes
the next. Step let's go to HI. A let's see
what hya looks like if all of a, sudden we're
hitting at least like two ninety and the powers going
off and strikeouts are not mounting. Up then it's, like
oh a, Run escobar really might be for, real but

(01:04:51):
like he is absolutely popping across the. Board let's just
hope there's not too much of a level Out EDWARD O,
quintero aged appropriate nineteen years, old as we, mentioned seven,
homers fifteen stolen, bases crazy another one of these three
four to five slash. Guys over thousand. Ops he's got
over In Rancho. Cougamonga he has been a. Monster my

(01:05:14):
only issue it's similar To Braid. MONTGOMERY i already Had
quintaro relatively. HIGH i think it's the top seventy five.
Guy but he is going to make a, nice significant
move because this is a young bat THAT i loved
in rookie ball that has carried over in an absolutely,
dominant if not better. Way quintaro is on the move,
up AND i think from a pure movement, perspective not

(01:05:35):
that he's jumping into the top one, hundred but AS i,
MENTIONED i Love Asbo. GONZALEZ i liked watching him out
here In complex last, year and he is all but better.
NOW i mean he has more stolen. Bases he has
nine more stolen bases right now than he did at
two levels last year in thirteen less, games so as Bo,

(01:05:56):
gonzalez though there isn't a lot of power projection in,
there is becoming an elite based, dealer an elite contact,
hitter and he's walking more than he's striking. Out he's
got to take a massive jump up from where he was.
Before so those three guys are a Moving but it's
not all, hitters you, know some pictures are obviously. Moving
two that are going to take some significant. Jumps really

(01:06:19):
excited about this one BECAUSE i felt LIKE i was
a little bit higher in some of the first Year in,
General i've kind of been a little bit higher on
some of the, pictures which is so weird Because i'm
not a big picture. Guy but whenever it comes down
to those first year players, STUFF i feel Like i've
had a few of those guys. Higher you, Know Chase,
BURNS i was The Chase burns, guy, which by the,
Way burns be on the lookout for the rank. List

(01:06:42):
you might See burns change face a little bit and
maybe be near the top of some of this, list
so look out for. That but the other guy Was
Trey Y. Savage Where Ya savage? Was you, know one
of those college arms that really really popped off with the,
splitter and he's a two four three er right, now
thirty three, innings fifty five, strikeouts a point eight one.

(01:07:04):
Whip some of the model, guys you, KNOW i mean
hat tip to the dudes that you, know it's so
hard for most of us to get any of the
like really good public data or you, know people don't
want to share. It but then there are some of
the guys AND i think IT'S Tj stats that does,
it that does some of the, modeling And justavage just you,
know jumps off the board as one of the most

(01:07:26):
uniquely dominant pitchers in the minor. Leagues right, now there
is a slight As i've already set you guys up
for age to. Level this is a college you, Know
Eastern carolina pitcher who's pitching an a. Ball let's get
him the hell out of, There, like why do we
need the twenty one year old college pitcher in a.

(01:07:47):
Ball let's get him To hya. Yesterday he's already had seven.
Starts he's absolutely. Dominated in those seven, starts he's been.
Ridiculous he gave he's given up three runs in one.
Start otherwise it's been Under he struck out eight or
more in four of his seven, starts and he's gone
at least five in all of His may starts so, far,
which by the, way all of His may starts he

(01:08:09):
has had seven or more. Strikeouts batters have never had
an above one eighty two batting average. Against get him
the hell out of. There so he looks, ridiculous he looks,
Dominant he's got big strikeout. Stuff models are loving. IT
i want to see where he goes to the next.
Level and He savage has a legitimate shot to like skyrocket,

(01:08:32):
up especially when he gets to a little bit more
age appropriate work. Against so You savage is making the move.
Up and the other one Is Gauge. Jump this is
another one of THE i know the model guys really
Like Gauge. Jump who's a twenty two year old at
DOUBLE a with The athletics right. Now five on one
record ONE, era thirty seven, innings fifty seven, strikeouts a

(01:08:55):
point eighty six. Whip something uniquely fun about both of these.
Plays AND i didn't mention this with A Y, savage
but it's. Important The savage fifty five strikeouts only eight
walks across across thirty three. Innings Gauge jump fifty one
strikeouts in thirty seven innings with only six. Walks it's.
Ridiculous it's absolutely. Ridiculous sub two hundred batting average against so,

(01:09:19):
far secondaries look. Fantastic he's been throwing, strikes he's getting.
Whiffs Gauge jump And Treya savage are both two players
that are massively on the. Rise AND i, think pending
how people treat any of, THIS i think you could
have models push these guys into like dramatic top LIKE
i think top fifty. PLAYERS i think people that lean

(01:09:42):
a little bit more into, like what have you done
for me? Lately, now those guys could push definitely inside
the top seventy. FIVE i think they're in that general
Space i've kind of laid, Out like what's interesting About
Gauge gauge is that he is at a much, higher
more competitive level AT i think that breeds a little
bit more credence to. It we're, Like, wow he is absolutely.

(01:10:04):
Dominating if you and if, you by the, way if
you take out his first start of the season and
you look at the, rest he's given up only four
earned runs. Total that would be six across six more
starts so that really pushes him up. HERE i do
think you want a little bit more sample, size especially
with The. Savage you want to see like the next.

(01:10:24):
Level but these two specifically might BE i would Throw
Chase burns into it as. Well those three might be
the highest. Risers and the REASON i Say Chase burns
is BECAUSE i think there's a legitimate chance a majority
of people or a decent amount are going to have
him one or two in the next within the next
month as far as starting pitchers. Go so those eight

(01:10:47):
making big jumps up my. Ranks who else, well you
can check it out at in this league dot com
for my prospect top five hundred update For fantasy top
four hundred For dynasty overall. Ranks so those have the major,
leaguers that's The dynasty. Ranks they're also have them by
team by. Position we got the first year player and

(01:11:08):
going to be dropping some of the initial rank valuations for,
drafts So i'll probably drop like a top. Fifteen things
start to clear themselves up as the month and so goes,
On but that's always important just to, know like what
are your draft? Picks equate to very very fun. Stuff
so hopefully you guys want to check it out in
this league dot. Com that should be. Up i'm working

(01:11:30):
on it. Today it's a possibility For. Friday it's actually
more of a possibility than it was twenty four hours.
Ago if Not, monday we will have the update on
in this. League so it's appreciate your guys' support and
you can check it out. There by the. Way, well
last THING i want to mention because you guys might
not know, this but between my, RECORDINGS i had done
majority of this episode and THEN i had to stop

(01:11:50):
BECAUSE i had another, recording and THEN i needed to
get out To. COMPLEX i want to get out To
complex just for a little bit in between taking my
kids to, classes AND i got out To, goodyear SO
i had not recorded any of that before and then
this Portion i'm recording. After And i'm so mad because
if you guys had not, seen because this is another

(01:12:11):
guy that deserves massive kudos as far as a rank.
Mover but we have talked about a little bit IS
i was At goodyear for The Texas rangers and The Cincinnati.
Reds great, game the old Frand, Castillo Paulino, santana Each
Yokan ornandez is there Saw Cam, collier But Tyson, LEWIS

(01:12:31):
i had to go after a little bit AND i
left just before his second, bat AND i believe it
was his second or third at. Bat Tyson lewis crushed
a homer with a one nineteen registered ex, velocity which
as told would be the highest of major leagues this

(01:12:52):
year and the minor leagues this. Year absolutely. RIDICULOUS i
do have his first at bat where he opposite field
line ones that just gets. Caught he hit that pretty
hard as. Well Tyson lewis is bigger than he was last.
Year he looks like he is getting. Healthy he's out
in games BECAUSE i saw him at The kershaw. Game
he was there but he wasn't, playing AND i talked

(01:13:13):
to him and he, Said i'll be in games next.
Week he is. Back he hit maybe the most ridiculous
ball so far this. Year be on the, Lookout Tyson.
Lewis rock it. Up go get your shares of. Him
That max ev is, insane and you know the body
registers to. It he physically looks more muscular than he
was last. Year AND i talk about that a lot

(01:13:34):
BECAUSE i do get to see a lot of guys
from like a seventeen eighteen year old range to you,
know like the next season over and that might be
some of the more dramatic body changes if they have
future body. Projection And lewis was kind of like a
skinnier dude that now looks more upper body muscular sammy
stufferr kind of went through the same thing he had
told me he had added last. Year he had added

(01:13:56):
like twenty pounds of. Muscle lewis kind of looks the,
same is registering one to nineteen ex of. Velocities So
Tyson lewis is the. Dude i'm only kicking myself in
the face BECAUSE i had to leave early AND i
didn't get That. Homer that'd have been a great. Video
follow me On Twitter that's WHERE i put out some
of my my big prospect, videos like The Charlie condon

(01:14:16):
one that is. Ridiculous and on My instagram that's Where
i'll put a lot of other. Videos as, MENTIONED i
THINK i Met Johnny level from BEFORE i got This
Johnny level at bat with the Joe yochi on, there
And level's. Impressive you, KNOW i was just talking to someone,
yesterday you, know who have been the most impressive players
out in complex so? Far and this one person immediately,

(01:14:38):
Said johnny level level is. THERE i would Say Josuey.
Lugo Tyson lewis is another one of those guys that
are fully out here IN. Jd. Dick so it'd probably
like the my Mount rushmore of complex guys right. Now
so pretty fun, stuff is? It The welsh On instagram
you can follow and The, Twitter patreon at in this
league dot com sign up. TODAY i really appreciate you

(01:14:58):
guys supporting WHATEVER i. Do and next Week i've got
hopefully it's. Booked we'll see if it keeps rocking. Through
but one of my buddies that's out, here big big
on The instagram world kind of there's another version of
WHAT i do as. Well i'm gonna be talking about
