Today on the episode, we are breaking down the Arizona
Fall League rosters. We got it in just under the wire.
Getting this episode in last week where I just did
the Arizona Fall League roster prediction show and probably the
earliest the rosters have been released in years. And you

know what, it kind of lines up with what I
said in the episode if you guys listened, that I
felt that players were maybe hearing sooner than they'd ever
done before, and that maybe MLB was a little bit
more involved than we've seen before. And wouldn't you know it,
this has harkened back to like twenty eighteen, like pre
COVID days where we were getting roster We got rosters

(01:40):
back when in like July, we have rosters almost a
full month out. So I was going to be doing
a breakdown of the p one ADPs. We're not gonna
do that. We're gonna be going through the Arizona Fall League.
We're gonna be checking out my predictions, which really I
thought were a lot better, not super great, but we'll see.
I had about five players I predicted per major league

(02:04):
team on the big AFL teams, and then I had
like locks. I did do pretty good on my locks
for the most part. The rest is a little bit
open for interpretation. So what we'll do is we'll look
at my prediction versus what the roster is, and I'm
going to do kind of a slight breakdown of what
these rosters look like. And I may still end up
right before the Arizona Fall League doing kind of an

AFL preview show, but this is going to be breaking
down who is going to be in the Arizona Fall League,
what is important about it, and that is what we
have got in stored for you, followed by an early
episode next week where I will be breaking down the
p and ADPs which are all done and finished. Thank

We had tons and tons of industry people and tons
of people in the Prospect when group me rooms do
these drafts and it puts together this just really cool,
unique top two hundred Prospect ADP. So I'm going to
be breaking that down and you'll get access to it.
You get access to it probably on Monday as I

released the episode, so make sure come and hang out
check all that stuff. But it is all arizonapholgics. Like
I said, it's pretty surprising that it was done this early.
I had been given little Bertie contact me yesterday and
gave me a couple names. So remember I did this episode.
I remember Friday. I just did it last week and

I knew what I knew. And then a couple days later,
you know, heard a name or two, and then yesterday,
twenty four hours out. So this may have been why
I got this information because now it makes sense because
it's coming out. I had got this text about, you know,
AFL is going to be loaded, and it was some
names that I already knew. You know, Hath everyone knew,
Hagen Smith was out there. There were some I had guessed,

(03:53):
Kevin McGonagall, and then there were some I just I
kind of didn't think would come out like a Yes, Meade,
La Paula. But you know, it was a handful of him.
An interesting thing, though, I will say, is in one
of those lists I did, I was text that Travis
Bozana would be there, and I told you guys, I
felt personally that the Guardians would want him to go there,

(04:18):
and I kind of thought maybe for personal reasons, he
might not want to go there. Also, you know, he's
been lighting it, lighting it up and stuff like that.
But you know, just like I said, in his rehab,
some weird interactions out here that I felt that, like,
if he could not come out here, I think they
would try to do that. So I think that's where
this comes from. I think he might have been set,
but he's been on this just tear towards the end

(04:39):
of the season that I'm gonna guess maybe they're just
really happy with it and he did not come out.
So we're going to talk about probably some of the
biggest disappointments, some of the shocks, what the rosters look like.
We're just gonna give you. This is kind of like
that preview episode is a full look and breakdown of
the Arizona Fall League rosters. And it's pretty cool to
be doing it this early because, like I said, usually

(05:00):
we're doing it the week before. I'll have to figure
out a different version of how I want to preview
the Arizona Fall League. But we got it. We got
these bad boys, and that is the plan. So strap
in here for a little bit, fully fully dedicated to
the Fall League and the players you're going to see.
I think there's also a couple players that are not
listed that could be out there. There could be a
few changes there always are, so Like I said, accuracy, predictions,

(05:25):
the plus the minuses, and really, you know who's going
to be out here, and this is an opportunity for
who guys could pop in the off season. So sit back,
let's take a break and we come back. We are
going to just jump right into the first team. We're
going to lay it out the twenty twenty five Arizona
Fall League. It is already, my friends. So let's do
a little roster breakdown.

Fifty to fifty Prospect one.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Kicking us off with the Glendale Desert Dogs. So that
is the home of the Dodgers in the White Sox.
As mentioned, it's a coyote. By the way, Desert Dogs
a logo. It's pretty good one. This team is comprised
of the Dodgers, the White Sox, the Braves, the Cardinals,
and the Toronto Blue Jays. Now I'm gonna preface one

(06:21):
thing because I think this was the team. I kind
of kicked this off with one thing that is so
laughable looking back, and I had a good laugh about
this was you remember in that preview episode what did
I Do? I went out and I was like, well,
there's never good pitching in the league. Glendale had good pitching,
but there's never good pitching in the league. But maybe

(06:41):
it'll be this year. And I laid out I thought
some pretty strong reasons and it was like the arrested
development bit, you know, where it was like, never works
for anybody else, but it could work for us. This
was even more so the team where I was like,
even if I'm wrong, which I was, but even if
I'm wrong, this team is still going to be stacked.

(07:02):
It's not quite as much because one confirmed name that
clearly the injury ended up taking him out, Noah Schultz.
Noah Schultz got scratched from this roster. So they still
do have Hagen Smith, who is who's pretty safe to
say like the number one pitcher out here in the
Fall League. No shocker, it's once again on the Glendale team.
But there were some really big cases for guys that

(07:25):
should have been out here. So in the predictions, I
really didn't do good here, like really not good. I
got the White Sox doesn't count because it was publicly released.
Schultz is out. Hagan Smith is in. Brandon Montgomery. We
knew he was in, so that was already a lock,
even though by the way, he just got a fracture
in his foot, gonna be up for the next month,

(07:45):
but looks like he'll be back. I got only one
of the Dodgers, one of the Braves, one of the Cardinals,
and no Blue Jays, So you know, objectively subject it's
just not I didn't do a good job. I did not.
I got one of the locks. One of my locks

(08:05):
of the Dodgers was correct, one of my locks of
the Braves was correct. And I guess I didn't lock
in the Cardinal, but I was correct about one. So
let's start with just for a second. The disappointment here
is that I had heard Ricky Tiedeman was coming out.
Owen Murphy made all the sense in the world, or

(08:27):
Cam KAMMANITTI those guys not coming out River Ryan even
I think that's kind of a disappointment. In Schultz, there's
a like major pitchers that did not end up coming out.
I really felt confident. I mean I would have probably
put at the tippy top Ranio Rodriguez as one of
the tippy top players that would have come out. I

(08:47):
think that's kind of a disappointment. So if I'm really
looking at this, I think it's Teetaman, Murphy and Rodriguez
are the ones where I'm like, man, those are bummers.
I thought Joshua Bias would have made sense, as I
had mentioned, I thought of Us Martinez would have made sense.
I laid out some of those Dodgers. It just wasn't
just ended up not being the case. Now, the positive

(09:07):
about this team though, is in that, like, we didn't
get some of the big pitchers, but then they did
at least throw like one big hitter on us and
yoswey De la Paula. So now looking at what actually
did happen for the Glendale Desert Dogs, this team offensively
is going to be led by yosuay De La Paula.
With the Los Angeles Dodgers and the player that I got, correct,

(09:30):
Kendall George. Those are gonna be the front line and
braid Montgomery. So it's a star studded outfield Georgian Center.
I'm gonna guess Depaula. I mean, however, they're going to
have probably Braiden probably left, you know, with the ankle
and stuff, maybe dhing, but George de Paula and Montgomery
is probably the most electric outfield out here in the
Arizona Fall League. Those are going to be the stars.

(09:52):
Nacho Alvarez, who's a major leaguer, is also so I
would say, like this team is headlined by Depaula, Braid, Montgomery,
George and not Shoe Alvarez. As far as hitting goes
and pitching, it's unfortunately just kind of left to Hagen Smith.
There's definitely some names that are in there. So if
we're looking back, what I only got correct about this

(10:12):
outside of the White Sox was Kendall, George, Nacho Alvarez,
and chin Way Lynn. Those are the only guys that
I like actually got correct. So I would say, you know,
from that standpoint, kind of an l kind of an
l from from my prediction. Like I am shocked in
the first names I put that I didn't even get
one of Titum and Murphy Ronniel or like Kellen Lindsay

(10:35):
or Vargas. That I'm kind of shocked about. But even
like the secondary stuff, the thing that you're gonna always have,
You're gonna just have like groupings of pictures, you've like
never even heard of. You know, there's just gonna be
relief pitchers. That's a very common thing out here. But
what ended up happening was, like, it's a pretty underwhelming infield.
Pretty there's no name catchers and the pitching is okay,

(10:58):
So just is a brief a side here. I'm not
gonna go through every single name. Hagen Smith is gonna
end up leading the way for this team. Number one
pitcher out here. As mentioned, uh, he's had a pretty
subpar year just in general, three six' four era in DOUBLE.
A good, strikeouts but a ton of, walks whip was
really high. Inconsistency so he's going to be out, Here

(11:22):
i'm gonna guess probably working on a pitch or you,
know maybe more change. Ups he's just got to have
like another. Offering but he's going to be your main.
Guy there are some other interesting pitchers The dodgers ended
up sending Out Hyun Suck, jang Who's i've seen for
a couple of. YEARS i got some video of, him
big six foot four pitcher who's. Rehabbing Peyton, martin who

(11:45):
is also a pretty interesting starting, Pitcher Justin chambers And
Jacob wright so there's actually some names Like Jacob Wright
bowman card people will know like he has a. Card
oh And i'm Sorry Alex. Mcarwich so they got a
bunch of pitchers out. Here BUT i would say the
Names Peyton, Martin Jang Hagen, smith Maybe Jacob, wright those are.

(12:08):
Interesting The braves did send out a. Couple they didn't
take out you, know Kem nitty and they didn't get
Us Owen, murphy but they sent Out Drew hackenberg And Luke,
snard which are kind of like the next tier of.
Pitching it's actually not the worst thing in the. World
if you look at the total, depth it's just, lacking you,
know because sometimes you want to look at this as,
like you, know like An All star. Game you're, like,

(12:29):
man look at all these. Guys But hackenberg was a
disaster this, year a six' EIGHT e ra getting to
double essentially all IN double a after last season having A,
three era so just. Absolute disaster lost the strikeouts whip was,
One EIGHT so i don't know if he's gonna be
out here to be a starter. Or reliever Him and

(12:50):
sinnard are definitely names, to watch and chin Win let
Lynn Chin way lynn is definitely going to be a pitcher.
To Watch tim kanaka talked, ABOUT him i believe last
year doing, the show big six Foot seven cardinals pitcher
who also had a really bad year the previous year
two seven TO, nine era this YEAR. Six era so

(13:11):
probably going to be out here to get, some starts
but again maybe he's going to be out here to
play in. Some relief, you know we don't know how.
This works sometimes sometimes starters even just come out here to.
Do that so you're. Pitching Again, hagen Smith Chinway, Lin,
Peyton Martin, Hyun, Suck Jang, Luke Snard. Drew hackenberg it's

(13:35):
not the worst that we've seen in, the world but
it's not powered by a bunch of. Exciting Stuff Catchers,
Edward Dran. Grayson Tarlow the cardinals did send out, a
catcher just not THE one i thought that would. Be
there The infield Nacho, Sam Antonachi, ryan galani who we,
Knew About, Jim Jarvis, Josh Kassanovich, logan wagner and then

(13:56):
the outfield, is mentioned just Adding In, Miguel Ugato claw
Hisssi And. Travis huneyman so when we're looking at like
the structure of, these Teams the cardinals were pretty. Dang
disappointing they sent out a kind of a bunch. Of
Nothing The blue jays, really disappointing did not send out much.

(14:19):
Of ANYTHING and i will give a pass To the
braves because they did Send Out nacho alvarez and a
couple of interesting. Pictures there so, IT'S like i Would
say Cardinals And blue jays are probably like LIKE, a
d MAYBE. An f we would maybe Give the braves LIKE.
A c and Then, the dodgers Like the dodgers Sent

(14:39):
out George, and depaula like we have to give them
that with some of, Other pictures i'd say that's LIKE a.
B plus and Then The white sox is still going
to be LIKE an anus as far as the. Rosters
go But The Glendale desert dogs highlighted by Really De,
paula hunter, stolen Base, Kindled George brad montgomery if, he's
Healthy And. Hagen smith so there's definitely a couple. Stars
THERE but, I mean I just i can't give myself.

(15:01):
ANY credit i just didn't DO like i definitely on the,
bigger NAMES and i guess my prediction shows are built
a little bit more around like the. Big names i'm
not trying to be. INSANELY accurate i do love IT
when i got like two guys. PER team i just
didn't do a really good. JOB there i definitely have
some twos in the. NEXT team i hit some. Of
those this one was a pretty rough one For The Glendelle.

(15:23):
Desert dogs but you know it's an. Okay team it's lacking.
SOME guys i do think things should watch. Out for
you could watch out for a Guy Like ricky teeman to.
BE added i didn't do the math here as he.
Won two sometimes you can do, this, three, four, Five
six i'll tell You what i'm doing here? Into, seven okay, so,

not uncommon, as mentioned that a we get a few

names before it starts up that join or a guy
or two drops out and then this new process that's
been happening In The fall league is you are seeing
teams end up like sending a guy home halfway through
and then another guy. Coming In the a's did that.
LAST year i do believe they will do that. This
Year With, Jamie arnold i'm gonna dig around a little.

(16:30):
Bit more we'll see if a few teams. Do this
but just, POINTING out i believe it's kind of like
an eight man thing that these. Guys Do and i'm only.
Counting seven so maybe we hold out hope that a
Guy Like ricky teeman could come out here for a
tiny bit as far As The blue. Jays go but, you,
KNOW overall i think it's it's strong on the high,
high upside just lacking some of the dudes that we ended.

Up wanting, All right team, number two we are going
To The Mesa. Solar socks that Is The, chicago Cubs,
the Athletics The, miami Marlins The New, york yankees And
The Tampa. Bay rays what we, Got correct this is
probably a better format for me. To do we already Knew,
the cubs so they did. NOT count i did a

pretty good job With. The a's We Knew blaize Ponce
or pontis was going to be. OUT there i Had
Guessed tommy White And ryan lasco, nailed it. NAILED it,
I Said jamie arnold is, a LOCK and i still
think that's going to be A w i think he's
going to come in. Halfway Through, THE marlins i did
not get. Any correct. Holy Crap, THE yankees i did

not get. Any correct. Holy Crap The Tampa. BAY rays
i did get a. COUPLE correct i actually got the.
Top two one of them was. A lock by, THE
way I Had tommy white as, a LOCK and i
Didn't Do Ryan Lasco AIDEN smith i had as. A
lock key's Coming Out. JACK bowmeister i did not, lock
HIM but i got. HIM correct i was Incorrect About

homer bush or the, Other pictures Curette Or. SANTIAGO suarez
I thought swares was a lock and he is not.
COMING out, i thought just the lack of innings that
he would be a dude that they would one hundred
percent want to end up. Sending out so, this is unfortunately.

the top end. Of PLAYERS but i would, also argue

have put out in god knows HOW long i can.

told you we only got four, players right two A's

things so here's. THE disappointments i Don't Think jamie arnold is,
a DISAPPOINTMENT because i think he will. Come out the
two disappointment PIECES are i really Thought That miami marlins

would send Out, i've ARQUETTE and i thought there was
a really legitimate shot That The New york yankees would
Send Out. George, lombard nope neither one of those guys
that would have given this team, star power that would
have given, you know. In it LIKE as i was
constructing that constructing, THAT roster i, was, like guys we
don't have. Any infield this is going to make so. Much,
SENSE well i was still right. We did there wasn't,

an infield and they didn't put out a. Good infield
it's still. Not good it's a it. MIGHT be, i
mean we have to go through this with THIS type
i wasn't looking at this yet with this type. Of
eye might be the worst team. Out there so the
DISAPPOINTMENT is I have Arquette. AND lombard i really got
Wrong With dylan Head And homer. BUSH stuff i thought
they would make a ton of sense for. THE outfield

i do think they did make some. Solid Replacements peter
morlando coming out, Is great brailer out, Is great Mason
hour is coming back To The. Fall league they're actually.
Like solid it's just the problem is is that type
of that type of outfield this team has you, Wish,
like okay they got like a star two on.

cunningham that's actually, the best NOW that i give you.
That name he's probably. Number One bow meister is. Number

to be, in Relief And adam Stone And. Cade smith
so those are Your other. Yankee pitchers THE oh. I

Forgot the marlins also Sent out Carson. Mill brant he's kind.
Of interesting a's are Sending Out. Nathan dettmer there's definitely
some starter appeal. From Him, Corey Evant. MARK adamick, i mean,
just guys you guys. DON'T know i barely don't. Blaze
ponts i've given you the. Big names as of, This
moment i've given you, the big. Big names not to

say that there aren't gonna be guys that are. Gonna
pop you definitely see some reliever builds. In Here andrew
lindsay is a guy that could pop With The Tampa.
Bay rays but this pitching Staff Is bryce cunningham And,
bow meister and then you're kind of Hoping on detmer a.
Little bit this is A Classic fall league. Pitching staff
it's not super, super great. Totally open we always see

(21:33):
some RELIEVERS like i said, That pop maybe a Guy
Like matthew peters is gonna look. Even Better but cunningham
And bow meister. That is, you know that's where we're sitting.
Home with as far as the, Pitching Goes Catchers owen
Ayers And manuel palencia not. Much there we're gonna get
to see them. In Person the cubs really putting out
like just a lower valued group for. Whatever Reason manuel

(21:57):
poalencia is a twenty seven. Year old he went three
levels this year Up TO, double a but as a
whole he hit two seventy two one homer in two
hundred and thirty. Five games well stock. YOUR guy i,
don't know it doesn't feel. Super great the infield that they,
sent out and that Was the cubs And. The Yankees
the marlin sent us, One Infielder. Starlin cabba that's an.

Okay Name the rays Sent Out. Braden taylor at, One
Time braidon taylor was like kind of, dude Level but
taylor absolutely fell off, this year so this might be
an opportunity for him to recoup. Some value but he
hit one, seventy one, eight homers seventeen, stolen bases all
the strikeouts in the. World Brutal the as Sent Out Joshua,

corodo Grayer the Cubs Have, cole mathis And the yankees
Sent Out kobe Morales And, emmanuel tahta leaving the biggest
name of the group on the Infield Is. Tommy Tanks
tommy white With the A'S Former Lsu, tommy white who
that's gonna that's gonna be the big dog on this
team two seventy. One twelves this past season he ended

(23:02):
up getting up TO double a where he hit three
oh two in twenty. FIVE games I think tommy is
a legit PROSPECT and i would probably have him four
maybe of this, Group Here tommy white of like the
whole team, so far this team is Led By. Tommy white,
The Outfield mason. Hour Returns tampa bay sent out, Three

(23:23):
guys marlin sent, out Two so florida just owns. The
Outfield tampa bay Sent Out mason aer who has already
spent some time here In The, fall League And. Brailer
guerrero super excited to. See Him, brailer guerrero by, the,
Way prospect i'm very much in on missed a bunch.
Of time THE reason i took him off the LIST

(23:44):
because I Thought. HOMER bush I Thought homer bush was,
like closer, you know he was at THAT double. A
range he's a little. Bit older you'd want to. See
him but this makes, sense Too because brailor missed some.
Significant time we see these young guys come out here all.
The time he hit two fifty one and fifty games
just at a ball hasn't been ABOVE. High, A uh
i'm a pretty big fan. Of him in twenty twenty

(24:05):
four he hit three point thirty in, complex ball stole,
some bases bigger body guy six one two point fifteen
that kind of. FLATTENED out i think this is going to.
Be huge so from like an, Excitement standpoint i'm very
excited To See brailor GUERRERO because i just want to
see how he goes Up against not that the pitching,
is good but you're putting a nineteen year old up

(24:25):
against a bunch of LIKE double a AND triple a like,
relief pitchers and then you know a few touted. Pitching
prospects this is going to be great. FOR him a
lot of stuff IN the afl is. Fake brailer this
is just what you want out. Of Brailer ryan lasco
With the A's And finnick tremble. Are interesting the other
two big names will Stick With tampa bay for. A Second.

(24:46):
Aiden Smith aiden smith was one hundred percent one of
those guys that was rocketing up lists, for people but he.
Fell off his bat fell off in twenty twenty four
eleven homers forty one stolen bases with it eighty. EIGHT
average i think people had him close to top. Twenty five
but this year more homers fourteen forty one stolen bases

(25:07):
again struck out way more two thirty SEVEN average obp
dropped to, three thirty so it's still one hundred, point
difference but his average. Completely tanked and this was ALL.
At Hia aiden smith used to be With, the mariner
so there's gonna be a. Comfortability level i'm excited to
see him AGAIN because i saw him when he Was.
A mariner there is some really. BIG power i think

(25:28):
you're gonna just want to see some adjustments and. Some
consistency so that's a really good one and he could
recoup some, value here or if you want to, get
out he could build Up some but my favorite player
Here is i'm a BIG Pro pj. Moorlando guy orlando
missed a ton of time. With injury he ended up
playing a little bit of rookie and high a ball

(25:49):
did not go great. This year only two, twenty six,
five homer six stolen bases average STUNK. Great obp by,
