You may remember Cathy Scheller, Linda’s guest in this episode, because her son, Stuart Scheller, was a Lt. Colonel in the United States Marine Corps when he spoke regarding the need for accountability for leaders associated with the horrendous military withdrawal in Afghanistan in August 2021. The way in which the withdrawal was handled led to unnecessary deaths of American service members, shattered lives, and a national security threat as enemies were provided with billions of dollars of US military equipment. Stu’s courage led to great hardship, and Cathy discusses with Linda the emotional roller-coaster of heartbreaks and victories he and his family endured.
