Allie discusses her journey into leaning into both influencing and "de-influencing" culture on social media and defines for listeners what "de-influencing" is. She discusses reasons why people may want to lean into de-influencing culture, the harms of influencer culture, specifically when it comes to parenting influencers. We discuss social comparison when it comes to influencer culture and the benefits of embracing de-influencing. Further, Allie discusses some practical steps individuals can take to start leaning into de-influencing.
