In today's episode of Psych Talk I chat with Lawrence Harris, Youth Empowerment Speaker, entrepreneur, and author about turning your pain into purpose. Lawrence discusses his own history of abuse and being in a dark place, which led him to the career he has today, speaking with youth and young adults. We discuss the struggles of not feeling "good enough", as well as feeling "too much" and how to challenge those beliefs about ourselves. We discuss limiting beliefs - what they are and how to overcome them - and finding the truth (or lack there of) in those beliefs. Lawrence shares how to build self-love and resilience, despite the circumstances we are facing, and tips on how to start taking a more positive outlook on life.
