The end of the year has finally arrived!

In this episode, we talk about the overall learnings and the great moments that happened within the year. We all know the past years were rough for us, but it’s not the end, and we need to keep improving and overcome the adversities in our life. For Lili, expressing herself authentically and vulnerability was her theme for this year. As for Shannon, she viewed this podcast as a huge accomplishment because of how well it suits her love for talking to people.

Lili never knew that she would become an official Meditation teacher. She struggled with expressing herself most of her life. But this year becomes when Lili steps into her new space and gives herself permission to be free and vulnerable. For Shannon, the podcast serves as her outlet to satisfy her creative cravings and communicate with others. She also gains the ability to cooperate with others and lean on them.

In this episode, we share our experiences, learnings, and developments throughout the year. We also discuss our plans and begin planting the seeds.

Listen and learn.

“If you are curious about starting a podcast, it's possible. There are resources out there. If you are a researcher, feel free to do your research, but if you go in blind like I [Shannon], dive into the water and swim through it to figure out what you need to do."

“Prioritise yourself. Nourish your soul and your creativity. Engage in activities that enliven, inspire, and excite you.”

“There are 365 days in a year, and that's 365 opportunities to reset your energy daily."

"Just redirect whatever your passions, dreams, and desires are and start again. Start planting the seeds today because some things do take time.”

“We don't have control over many things in the outside world, but in our inner world, we do because that is your world. So you dictate how you want that to look like.”

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
