Comedy requires constant evolution—you're either improving or declining, with no middle ground. I approach stand-up like an explorer seeking uncharted territory, always looking for bigger venues and unconventional spaces where comedy hasn't been performed before.

• Need to level up my comedy career within the next 2-4 weeks by recording a new set at TK's
• Planning to create a laser-tight 15-minute performance to use for promotional content
• Will use new videos to pursue bigger opportunities and replace my year-old promotional material
• Setting specific deadlines creates accountability and helps get me "in the zone"
• Career growth is multidirectional—like climbing stairs, moving both upward and forward

Thanks to all my listeners and followers, even the haters—I appreciate your support as I continue this journey. Check out my content for more updates on this next chapter.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
You know, I'm at a certain point in my comedy life
that I really need to level upbecause, realistically, like a
lot of things in life, I don'treally think you can sort of
maintain You're either going toget better or you're going to
get worse and that's it.
It could be shooting abasketball, could be a

(00:22):
relationship, could be jujitsu, chess, whatever you name it.
But mine is comedy, Right.
And um, if I was like anexplorer, you know how, like
back in the day, when they weretrying to find uncharted islands
and stuff like that, that wasalways like the next big thing,
Right, Well, how I envisionmyself as a standup comedian is
kind of like an explorer.
But I'm always like looking forthe next big rush, the next big

(00:44):
opportunity, a bigger venue, somewhere unorthodox somewhere,
some a big place that somebodyhasn't done comedy before.
That's part of what makes meexcited, you know.
And the last time that I did ataped recording, uh, where it
was for like publicity and stufflike that and I used it for
promotional shows, it was alittle over a year ago at my
favorite comedy club called TK's.

(01:05):
So, um, with the next, uh, twoto four weeks, I'm going to be
doing some amazing best ever new, one year later standup comedy.
And I'm going to be using thisnext uh, uh recorded um set at
TKs.
That's my goal, right, Um, to beable to use those videos to

(01:30):
take me to my next level, leveling up.
You know, cause I really needto level up in my uh, standup
comedy.
I need to do something likewalking up a staircase.
You're not just getting higher, right, but you're also going
forward to go.
It's multidirectional andthat's what I need to do.
But you're also going forwardto go it's multidirectional and
that's what I need to do, Cause,um, yeah, you know, doing
comedy clubs and certain venues, that that's not gonna that's

(01:51):
not gonna get you to that nextlevel, but doing bigger places,
bigger venues, differentaudiences, being unorthodox,
being the first man that makesme excited.
So, yeah, within the next two tofour weeks, I'm going to get a
like a 15 minute set, really, really, really like laser, like
really laser, tight, right, Um,timing and everything.
And, uh, I'm going to do acomedy show and I'm going to use

(02:18):
those videos to kind of chop upone minute videos, to use them
for advertisements, to dispersethis new material that different
clients are asking for because,uh, for my new shows that I'm
booking.
Now they're asking me for anyrecent videos and my most recent
one is about a year ago, andthat the last video has given me
so much success and now I'm oneyear better.
So now I'm going to take thatnew video and use it for this

(02:39):
next year.
So I'm excited, I'm motivated,I have all these ideas and I
would love to share them.
But first, before I start tocontact these big, big, big, big
venues, right, Um and again, Idon't want to let out too much,
but I need a new tape.
I need a new set of me uh,smashing, dominating, uh and

(03:04):
kicking butt right, Doingamazing, hilarious stand-up
comedy and getting like 50,000plus views on the Instagram from
a couple of my jokes, just likeI have pinned at the top right
now, but it'll be newer jokes.
So I'm excited.
I have a goal and, as strategicand masterful as I am in my

(03:26):
plans, I'm very, very analytical.
I can't wait to follow throughwith them, because when you make
a great plan, that's it's a man, it's one of the best feelings,
but when you follow throughwith it, when you, when a plan
works and it's executedperfectly, it's priceless.
So this is the plan Rehearsinga lot, doing a show in about two

(03:50):
to four weeks, taking thatvideo and using those for
promotions for my next one yearof comedy.
I'm excited, I'm motivated, I'mpumped up and I wanted to share
with everybody, kind of likestaking my claim before I do it.
You know, I always love kind oftalking myself into a corner
because it really I believe, byyou making a definitive end date
on something right, that youhold your.

(04:13):
It's a form of, likeaccountability and, uh, it's
part of what gets me in the zoneright.
So it's always going to be inthe zone, so to speak, right.
But for goals and stuff Ialways set a date, always,
always set a date, and that'sthat's what's going on.
So, that being mentioned, Ihope everybody has a beautiful

(04:33):
day.
I truly appreciate all thelisteners, all the views, the
likes, the comments, the trashtalk.
Haters gotta hate.
I love you still.
I'm Benja.
Well done, check me out.
Peace.
