SPEAKER_00 (00:07):
Auditioning for
life.
So recently I auditioned to beon a show.
It is a national show.
And honestly, uh, I think I gotthe part, I got the uh
opportunity, and um I would loveto talk about it, but um I I
(00:32):
really I really want to umoverdeliver in my next
performance.
Uh and if you see me in a fewmonths, well, that that's uh
great news.
Um but instead of talking aboutit and focusing on the name of
(00:53):
the show and the details andeverything else, I just wanted
to get this out that I'm reallyhappy.
Uh I'm ever more focused, morethan ever before.
And uh it's it's huge.
This would be a monumental,life-changing opportunity to get
this show.
(01:14):
Um, and I really believe inmyself, but more than anything,
I really believe that all I needis just a little bump, just a
little momentum in my direction.
Um, there's something in thePeter Pan story where he says uh
(01:34):
flying is simple.
He says, all you need is faithand trust and a little bit of
pixie dust.
Now it sounds kind of silly, butin all honesty, there's a lot of
truth to that because I havefaith in myself and I trust in
my abilities.
That pixie dust, so to speak, right?
It's just that little bit ofextra, that little bit of
(01:55):
momentum.
And that's what I really, reallyneed.
I need this boost because umdoing a thousand small shows of
comedy isn't ever going to equalup into something big.
Okay, but something big will.
And that's that's exactly what Ineed.
And I believe that most morethan anything.
And um, I can't wait to telleveryone about this.
(02:16):
But instead of talking aboutwhat might happen, I'm focusing
on what will happen.
And I will be officiallynotified in March about this.
Um, but I just had to get thisout that something very big is
in the works nationally.
Um, and uh I'm really happy, I'mreally thankful.
(02:38):
But now more than ever, it'stime to sharpen my swords, you
know, my technique.
I have to drill, rehearse, uhwork out material.
I've got to be better andsharper than ever, plain and
simple.
That's what I'll be doing.
That's what I'll be focusing on.
(02:59):
And aside, after this onespecific podcast episode, I'm
not going to be talking about itanymore.
It will be going on in thebackground.
Um, and I'll be talking aboutother stuff.
But I had to document thisbecause this whole podcast has
always been about my journey.
My journey to becoming aprofessional stand-up comedian,
nationally recognized, and soforth and so on.
(03:21):
And I'm a little bit of pixiedust away.
So this may be shorter than mostepisodes.
Usually they're about five toten minutes anyway.
But I'm going to head to bedearly, figure this out even
more, work on this more, and uhget after it, as Jocko Willing
(03:44):
says.
So with that being mentioned, Ihope everybody has a beautiful
day, a great night, and thankyou.
This has been well done.
Check me out.
Peace.
