In addition to academic publications, she has written articles about contemporary battlefield pilgrimages for US military publications and serves as a battlefield pilgrimage expert for military staff rides and other related educational programs.Daniel H. Olsen is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Geography at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, USA. His research interests revolve around pilgrimage, tourism, and spirituality. He has published over ninety articles, edited books, and book chapters on the topic, including works such as Tourism, Religion and Spiritual Journeys (2006), Religious Pilgrimage Routes and Trails: Sustainable Development and Management (2018), Dark Tourism and Pilgrimage (2020), Religious Tourism and the Environment (2020), The Routledge Handbook of Religious and Spiritual Tourism (2022), New Religious Pilgrimage Routes and Trails (2023), and Food, the Pilgrim, and Faith-Based Travel (2023). He is also the recipient of the Jack Bailey Teaching and Learning Faculty Fellowship at Brigham Young University.
