Dr. Menon shares his journey into psychology and mental health advocacy, discussing his early experiences with an NGO that supported homeless women with mental illness. Dr. Menon then explains the complexities of psychosis, including its symptoms, classifications, and the role of dopamine in the brain. Then, Dan and Dr. Menon discuss differences between delusions and hallucinations, the impact of substance use on mental health, and the age of onset for psychosis.Β
