Our guest Dr. Giovanni Ferreira BAppSc (Phty), PhD, is a Senior research fellow at The Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, Sydney Local Health District and The University of Sydney. Giovanni’s research investigates the effectiveness of innovative pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions and new models of care to improve outcomes for people with musculoskeletal pain. In 2022, NewsCorp Australia recognised Dr Ferreira as one of Australia’s top 20 medical researchers under 40. Dr Ferreira holds leadership positions in the Australia & New Zealand Musculoskeletal (ANZMUSC), the Australia & New Zealand Low Back Pain Research Network (ANZBAC) as Co-Chair of the ECR committee and leader of the stratified (personalised) medicine theme, and Sydney Health Partner’s Musculoskeletal Clinical Academic Group.
