Title: Winter Solstice

Date & Time: December 7th, 2024 @ 1pm

Synopsis:

In this gathering, Join us for a special Winter Solstice celebration as we honor the longest night of the year and welcome the return of light. In this gathering, we'll come together to reflect on the cycles of nature, the passage of time, and the symbolism of darkness and light in our lives.

For the Winter Solstice gathering, the community can reflect and speak about the following themes:

The Symbolism of Darkness & Light

  • How has darkness shown up in your life this year?
  • What lessons or gifts have you discovered in times of uncertainty or difficulty?
  • What does the return of light mean to you personally or spiritually?

The Cycles of Nature and Time

  • How do you connect with the natural rhythms of the seasons?
  • What transitions or shifts have you experienced in your own life that mirror the cycles of nature?
  • How can we use the symbolism of the solstice to honor endings and prepare for new beginnings?

Reclaiming Light in Community

  • How does sharing your light with others help you heal and grow?
  • What does it mean to be a beacon for others while navigating your own path?
  • How can we, as a community, hold space for each other's darkness while celebrating the return of light?

Embracing the Path-Maker Archetype

  • How do Path-Makers navigate the interplay of darkness and light on their journeys?
  • In what ways have you “made a path” this year, even when the way forward wasn’t clear?
  • What light are you bringing into 2025 to inspire transformation and growth?

"Orphée Suite: VI. Orphée's Return" by Philip Glass, performed by Paul Barnes, is a stunning modern interpretation of the Orpheus myth. This piece comes from Philip Glass's opera "Orphée" (based on Jean C
