And I really didn't haveanything specific I wanted to do
per se.
You know, the normal go out toeat.
You know, celebrate, um, but Iturned 50.
So it was just um, I think forme it was just a matter of

(01:26):
gratitude, just being thankfulfor making it to 50.
In good health, you know, ingood spirits, and, you know, not
in the hospital and not, youknow, just really going through
life the hard way.
So so, yeah, so that's that'spretty much what I want to talk

(01:48):
about today.
That goes right into our focusfor today.
Today, I want to talk about um50 and focused.
50, focused and fabulous.

(02:49):
15, 20 years ago you need to bein the room.
We will be talking about the,not just the process of
publishing, but what to do afterit gets published.
Ok, let's be real, that's wherey'all get stuck in.
Ok, after it's published, youreally don't know what to do
after it gets published.
Okay, let's be real, that'swhere y'all get stuck at.
Okay, after it's published, youreally don't know what to do.

(03:09):
And so, um, y'all know, I'mgonna bring it, I'm gonna drop
it, I'm going to coach, teach, fuss, all of that, but at the
end of the day, you're going toknow exactly where to go from.
Wherever you are in yourproject, you'll know where to go
from there.
Okay, and that includes theresources and all that good
stuff.

calling the station.
I get off air a lot of times onTuesdays and you all are
calling the station and you knowyou're so excited about the
information and want assistancewith your project.
That would be the perfect timeto be able to not just meet me
in person, but to get in theroom and take notes and learn
and get your answers and yourresources.

(04:18):
Okay, also, we want to talkabout publishing black magazine.
I will be launching the secondquarter issue this week, so look
forward to that.
If you have not checked outpublishing black magazine, you
can go topublishingblackmagazinecom and
you can see our january issueand in, I think when you click

past issues.
But Publishing Black Magazineis where I feature

are in that magazine you willnot find anywhere else.

And then don't forget to go topublish with Tiffanycom.
Join the email list If you wantto stay on the up and up of
what we live on TikTok too.
If you are, you have access tointernet.
We are live on TikTok at BlackWriter Space, okay, so you can

(05:21):
tap into that or, of course, listen in on rejoice102.com.
But you want to go topublishwithtiffanycom.
You want to look in at thedigital products that I have on
there available.
It's so much on there.
Yes, that's where you go tojoin the email list.
Yes, that's where you can go tosign up for the event, but you
can also shop there.
I have an ebook that I just putup, maybe about two weeks ago um

(05:45):
decrees for authors.
I have an e-book that I justput up, maybe about two weeks
ago Decrees for authors.
I don't know if you werelistening when I talked about
the different decrees and thedifferent words and things you
can speak over yourself duringthe day and throughout the week
to just keep you encouraged andinspired.
So I'm going to be doing a lotof talking on how to stay
focused today.
I don't really have anyspecific topic, as far as you

(06:08):
know, going deep into thepublishing.
I really just want to talkabout staying focused.
Ok, so check out, publish withTiffany dot com, and then let's
just jump right in.
So I want to just kind ofreflect on my 50 years.
Ok, and life will give you somehits.

(06:30):
Let's just, you know, say thatlife will definitely give you
some hits.
But I'm going to tell you, whenit came to me, fulfilling my
goals and my dreams becausethat's really what I want to
remind you of today is not tolet them go by the wayside.
You know, we put stuff asidewhen it comes to us A lot of
times.
We put stuff aside and we sitit to the side and we never get
back to it.

(06:50):
We got to stop doing that, youknow.
I know a lot of us were raisedthat you know it's better to put
others before you.
Stop doing that, stop doingthat.
You only live one time when youleave up out of here.
It's only one, it's only spacefor one body.
In that body bag period.
Nobody's going with you, noneof your stuff can go with you or

(07:12):
anything.
So we want to take time tonumber one just be grateful and
appreciative that you're not.
If you are not sick, you're notin the hospital.
Somebody, somebody's machinegot cut off this morning.
Somebody's machine got cut offfive seconds ago, right, so I
have learned.

(07:32):
I want to say in my I guess youcould say in my late 40s, before
I got to the big five, oh,they're just waking up and being
appreciative of how far God hasbrought you.
You know, it's something to say.
It's a moment to take and say, well, man, what is it that I
really have wanted to do that Ihave not done?

(07:54):
We're in 2025.
We almost in 2030.
That sounds crazy when we couldthink back to 1980 and 1995 and
all that stuff.
Listen, and it does not alwayshave to be a book.
Yes, book, the books are myfavorite topic but it don't have
to be a book, just your storyperiod.

(08:14):
You can start a blog If youdon't you feel like a book is a
little too much of a project foryou.
You can start a blog and stillwrite content and write about
topics that you're passionateabout and write about your
thoughts and your views towardsit.
A lot, a lot of what you wantto do on the inside can go a
whole long way whether you havea book or not.

(08:37):
Okay, so I wanted to, um, justremind you guys of that and just
reflect back on what's on yourlist, what's on your to-do list,
your personal to-do list, thatyou have not tapped into.
It's always, I put it to theside.
Procrastination will have usjust straight, not living out

(08:57):
any of our dreams, and that isnot what I want you all to do.
I want you to focus on livingyour dreams out.
Being able to enjoy whateverthe goals is.
Whether it's a business, itdon't have to be a business.
It could be a hobby, it couldbe just something you wanted to
do.
I've been tapping into certainthings that I've been talking
about doing for 20 years andfinally doing it.

(09:19):
I procrastinated doing theradio show and I kept saying for
three years like I just keptoverthinking it, overthinking,
and now I'm here and I love itand all I can think is what took
me so long?
I could have been did this.
That's my favorite line now.
I could have been did this, Icould have been did this.
So you don't want to be sayingI could have been did this.

(09:40):
Just start doing it.
Do your research, go to google, read up on it, talk to somebody
who has knowledge about it andthen get started.
Just start.
I do believe in that sayingjust start when you start, then
the rest will come.
If you start and you beconsistent and you are

(10:01):
passionate about that thing, youwill not believe what kind of
connections you start gettingand all of that.
Start speaking it.
Those words we talked about, the words last Tuesday, those
words have meaning, they arepowerful and they do work.
Okay, so we're going to take abreak and we'll be right back.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Any day now Is what I kept telling myself On the last
mile On the road to somewhere.
But along the way I Saw thewind and the rain and, to my
surprise, blew my mind.

(11:00):
So many nights I had to hold onfor my life.
But I'm so glad, oh yeah now.

(11:31):
Hurt and pain was sometimes mycompany, separated from those no
guarantees.
But one thing I knew for sureI've had my share of ups and
downs.
I made it, even though I'm blue.

(11:52):
I've had to cry so many nights.
I've had to hold on for my life.
I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived

(12:13):
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, Isurvived, I survived, I survived
, I survived, I survived, I.
Oh.
I know you heard this messagebefore.
I want to tell you once moreit's alright, you will.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Hey, we are back.
So, like I was saying, you know, take the time to examine your
personal to-do list about yourdreams and goals.
We spend our lives helpingeverybody else reach theirs and
we never touch ours.
We just kind of keep puttingourselves on the back burner.
Stop doing that, don't do that, don't do that.

(12:55):
We get one life, one.
So you want to take the time toenjoy the things that you love.
So I want to talk aboutbusiness and branding for the
next chapter.
Okay, so you know I was alreadyin this mode before my birthday.
Let me just make that clearBefore my birthday I was already
in the mode of movingdifferently.

(13:18):
You know setting up systems.
You know visions and strategies.
That is so important inwhatever you have going on.
If you have no business and you, you know it's just you but you
like to read and study yourBible, do something special with

(13:38):
that.
I've seen people you know putall kind of colored things and
bookmarks and just create thisone girl I see her.
She's having Bible studypicnics.
You know what I'm saying.
It's just so much Enjoy thetime that you have on earth.
That's, that's really my focus.
So now about this branding at50.

(13:59):
Listen, I am not playinganymore.
If you have businesses, you can,and let's be clear, being an
author is a business, okay.
So if it's any other servicesthat you offer and your business
products and things like that, sit down, take the time to sit
down every few months or everyquarter and see what you need to

(14:20):
remove.
I'm doing a whole lot of thatTaking things off my plate.
We don't talk lot of thatTaking things off my plate.
We don't talk about the plate, taking things off my plate that
I no longer want on there.
Let me just make it clearTaking things off my plate I
don't want to be bothered with, okay, and so that includes
different services and different, just different things.

(14:43):
Sometimes, when you've hadenough of something, you're
ready and you know what thatmeans.
That's where pivoting comes in.
You know we may not.
You might think that only thebusinesses that are six
figure-ish and million dollars, they're the only ones that
experience pivoting and going tothe next level.
No, you always can pivot.

(15:05):
You can always go to the nextlevel, because that's that that
shows growth.
That's how you can tell thatyou are growing, because you
don't stay in the same place.
You should not be staying inthe same place.
I'm not in the same placementally, where I was last year,
right that I'm in this year, okay, and we're halfway through

(15:27):
2025.
And that's a biggie to me.
Like I don't want 12, 31, 25,December 31st to show up and I
ain't accomplished nothing.
I haven't done anything on mylist.
So even sometimes I may findmyself making more than one

(15:47):
to-do list in a week sometimesor in a month, but as long as
I'm making progress.
I actually looked at my to-dolist for my workload yesterday
and I was able to check a couplethings off.
That's the part that I enjoy ischecking off why I can write
done next to the check because Icompleted it.
So now it's off my plate, it'scomplete, I can move on to the

(16:11):
next thing.
That's all then going to thenext level.
So I hope you can you know, getthat and understand what exactly
what I'm saying today.
I didn't, I didn't want to comeon with too much of these steps
and these strategies, but justa real nice talk to where you

(16:32):
can start embracing who you are, what you love and just being
happy in this season.
And I had wrote down the happyjourney Okay, vision and voice.
The happy journey.
What is your happy journey?
I believe that I'm in my happyjourney because I'm experienced.

(16:53):
My visions that I've had foryears are now coming to pass Not
really coming to pass, butthey're visual, they're here now
.
I'm living in it.
You know what I'm saying.
It's one thing to visionsomething and and it never
happened, but then to alsovision something and then to be

(17:15):
literally living in it andthere's nothing there that can
stop you, there's nothing thatcan, you know, jump in the way.
If it tries, it has no weight.
You know what I'm saying?
Because you just determined, and in that, all that
consistency and working towardsit, that's your barrier that
protects that.
So, um, birthday, cleardeclaration and empowerment.

(17:40):
Birthday declaration my, mydeclaration for my 50th birthday
was to I wanted to do somethinghuge, something different.
I didn't want to do whateverybody else is doing I'm
already doing that but I wantedto do something life-changing.

(18:00):
I wanted to do something thatcreated generational wealth and
that can change lives.
That was my big big thing.
For me, right Now, somebodyelse they may just want to go
out to eat and you know, go, youknow party and things like that
, but for me it was, it was, that was heavy on me.

(18:21):
So I launched my uh, publishedin black chamber of commerce and
, um, really, really, reallyexcited about that.
What does that mean?
That means that instead of mejust being a publisher, instead
of me just being an author and acoach and all those other
titles I have, now I canrepresent Black self-published

(18:41):
authors in a different arena.
Now I can, you know, next levelthis thing for real.
For real, I can create policies.
You know we have a lot ofbarriers when it comes to being
black authors, when it comes togetting in the libraries,
getting your voice heard.
Sometimes funding is limited tous just because of the color of

(19:05):
our skin.
So I now, with that positionand and that community as I
build, I'm able to sit down attables with, you know, those
with big titles that havecontrol to get things changed,
so policies and different thingscan be put in place to where

(19:27):
you cannot just tell me youcan't put my book in a library.
I actually I'm dealing with asituation with that right now
with Gary Public Library and so,yeah, so now I can address some
things and I can help you guyscontinue to grow your legacies

(19:48):
and books and your voice and allof that stuff.
Like next week we're going totalk about copywriting and all
this, because it's not justabout putting a book out.
You have to make sure that yourbook is in place, it's in
position to where you are.
You register with the Libraryof Congress, like those are
things that are really strong.
It may seem, you know, kind ofjust something a little mild.

(20:12):
No, no, that's heavy.
That's heavy.
My magazine is registered withthe Library of Congress.
You have people.
Why is that important to me?
It's important to me becausemost people just put together a
magazine, print it and call it amagazine.
No, my thing is always to beofficial.
So even with your books, withthe isbn numbers, those numbers

(20:35):
mean something.
That's your barcode, that'syour social security number for
your book, that particular book.
It allows you to be seen indistribution.
It allows your book to be inbookstores.
You know what I'm saying.
So when you go and you wantyour book in Walmart or Barnes
and Nobles, if you don't have anISBN and your book is not

(20:56):
registered the right way, youwill get denied.
So it's just certain things wehave to have in place.
So, anywho, with my publishedin Black Chamber of Commerce, we
will be able to address so manydifferent issues and policies
for Black self-published authors.
Okay, so look forward to that.

(21:17):
If you have questions or you'reinterested because I am working
on a website that will belaunching, hopefully before the
end of June the email for that, the contact for that, is hello
at Published in Black Chamberdot org.
Hello at Published in BlackChamber dot org.

(21:39):
Ok, so I definitely wanted totell you guys about that.
And then, being bold in thisseason, your happy journey is
going to cause you to be bold.
It's time out for sitting backand, just like you know, scared
to speak up and scared to stepout and scared to, you know,

(22:02):
assume your position.
You know what was that sayingthey were saying the last couple
of years.
What was that saying they weresaying the last couple years?
They assumed the, not assumedthe position.
They understood the assignment, understand your assignment.
Understand your assignment andmove forward.
Period.
We're not playing back door, nomore.

(22:23):
We are not playing what we oh,I didn't really want to say.
Now, listen, you better step upand say and speak and all of
that.
That's how you're going to getyour goals accomplished, that's
how you're going to get to thenext level.
That's how you're going to stepinto that new arena and that
new level that you have beenpraying for for so long.
It's waiting on you.

(22:44):
It's not about you waiting onGod.
He is waiting on you.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
And we're going to take a break.
I'll worship and I'll isshifting, shifting the
atmosphere Till the heavens areopen.
This praise is shifting, shifting, shifting the

(23:52):
atmosphere For breakthrough andhealing.
Our worship is shifting, shifting, shifting the
atmosphere.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
It's moving.
Yes, it's time to focus onlegacy, focus decisions, wealth
building and impact withintention.
You know so.
When you decide to do whateverit is that you want to do,
whatever is you've been havingsitting, whatever it is you're
curious about, it's time to beintentional about it.
Be sure that you are not justcreating things that you enjoy

(24:37):
or that you're passionate aboutor, um, even something that you
feel like will increase yourincome.
You want to make sure thatyou're not just looking for
something that is for right now,but think that it is going to
how it's going to affect yourfuture, even in wealth and
increase in health.

(24:58):
You know what I'm saying.
Be sure, because a lot of times, we are so focused on the money
because we don't want to livein lack, and I get it.
That was me.
It's still me, but I've alsotaken on a portion of focus to
where it's about wealth buildingand thinking about my future.

(25:21):
I'm 50.
Yeah, I got about 50 more years, but how do I want to live in
them next 50 years?
You know what I'm saying.
So that's why I said sometimesyou got to examine with your
business or whatever you gotgoing on.
It's time to take some thingsoff and maybe add some new
things on.
What I like to do in mybusiness is take things off that

(25:42):
are on my list.
That caused me to use up a lotof my physical time.
I like to take that stuff offand replace it with things that
don't cause me to be physicallyavailable.
That's why I love digitalproducts Bingo, right.
So if you've been thinkingabout adding something in your

(26:03):
business, add a digital productor two.
You can add digital products toany business that you have, any
business that you have.
If your whatever industry you'rein, whether you're in real
estate, whether you're intrucking or whatever somebody
always want to know how did youget started?
That's a book.
That's an e-book, okay, sodon't sleep on that.

(26:25):
That's an ebook, okay, so don'tsleep on that.
Replace things.
When you're taking off thingsthat are stressing you out and
it's just too much and thatseason may be over you want to
make sure that you're replacingit with something that does not
require so much of your physicaltime.
That's how you get closer tothat freedom that you want to

(26:45):
live.
That's why we love real estateso much, because it doesn't
require us to be there or clockin.
You dig what I'm saying.
So I just wanted to reflect onsome of those things today and
just remind you to um, stayfocused, focused, fabulous and
make legacy focused decisions.
Okay, it has been amazing.

(27:08):
