tonight.

And as soon as we run out of topics or ouraudience runs out of topics, then the show's
just gonna end at that point.
It's done.
Yeah.
So it's just it's PGA Champ.
I even thought about doing the tee-off reportwith Buttsy to kick it off.
I'm like, no.
Let's just let's just jump right into the PGAChampionship this week.
(01:22):

I still am so giddy about the Devant golf headcovers.
Folks, look out for these.
(02:53):
Because like this gnome over in the bottomcorner here, the Masters gnome, is just
absolutely insane.
I love that one.
But, guys, you ready?
Let's do this.
Let's get into the PGA Championship.
Let's talk some action here.
So we're out at Quail Hollow this year for thePGA Championship, which tends to be Rory
(03:17):
McIlroy's stomping grounds.
So I gotta ask you guys.
And, Buttsy, I'm gonna start with you, man.
Like, when we talk about Rory McIlroy winningthe Masters and all of a sudden coming here to
the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow to wherehe has dominated year in and year out at Quail
Hollow when they come here for the Wells FargoChampionship.
Is there anybody better in terms of, in youropinion, best odds, Rory McIlroy, PGA
(03:45):
Championship?
Talk to us.
I think no.
I think it's gonna be him and Bryson again.
Oh, you think Bryson?
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We kinda talked about it last week whereBryson's playing well.
He won on the LIV Golf circuit finally onceagain.
And you've got Rory, obviously, having won theMasters.
(04:08):
And then last week at the Truist Championshipat the Philadelphia Cricket Club, that place,
we saw some really good golf take place, andwe've got some guys right now that are trending
in the right direction.
So, Brent, I'm gonna kick it over to you, man.
What do you think?
Do you think that this is just gonna be RoryMcIlroy taking the crown part two for this
(04:34):
year?
I mean, I wouldn't mind it.
I mean, obviously, it would kinda make sense.
It would kinda show how, you know, if you focuson golf, good things happen.
But I would love to see Scottie win this week.
I think, historically, you know, it's been agolf course, obviously, where JT and Rory have
(04:57):
dominated.
But it's just my own personal preference that Ithink, you know, Christ's golfer is gonna get
out there and get it done.
You know?
Wow.
Chef.
Good old Scottie Scheffler.
I was talking to a guy today.
He was asking me.
He's like, who you got for the PGAChampionship?
And I told him, I was like, man, I really likeRory McIlroy, not only because at the beginning
(05:19):
of the year I made the prediction that he wasgonna have a massive year, but also the fact
that he dominates at Quail Hollow.
However, there's so many guys, and this is whatthe conversation we got into was around how
many guys are actually trending in the rightdirection right now.
And you got a plethora of big names.
I mean, you wanna talk about the best playersin the world all peaking at the right time.
(05:41):
I mean, like I mentioned when talking to you,Buttsy, literally, you got Bryson who just won.
You got Rory coming off of that high.
You've got Justin Thomas who won.
You've got
Rickie Fowler actually played well this pastweekend, and he plays well at Quail Hollow.
You've also got, gosh, I mean, XanderSchauffele finally played well, started putting
(06:03):
it together this past week.
He obviously plays Quail Hollow really well.
He lost in the final nine holes last year toRory McIlroy, who just went off.
So he's a contender this week.
You've got Scottie Scheffler dominating in goodold Texas.
So from there, I don't know, man.
(06:24):
Scottie Scheffler, like, I don't love this golfcourse for Scottie Scheffler, but if Scottie
Scheffler plays his best, is there anybody thatcan beat him?
No.
I don't think so.
I think his short game especially, I mean, gosh.
I mean, you just look at the way he's played.
When he's played well, he's won by five, six, seven shots.
(06:47):
So even when even when the best players havebeen there.
So but we'll see.
It's a it's a weird thing.
You know, Rory was Rory played last week.
And as we mentioned last week, it's kind of a,you know, kind of a battle between taking a
week off versus building into the event.
So but I do think you're right.
It's gonna be it's gonna be a blast.
I actually look forward to watching this one.
I haven't watched a full, you know, four-roundtournament in probably 15 years.
(07:10):
So
You will spectate this one, I
will I will absolutely watch at least nineholes of each round.
Before we hit that record button tonight toofor the podcast, I forget which one of you was
talking about how it is go like, this is thestrongest field, yeah, in golf right now.
Yeah.
(07:30):
I mean, it's it's not it's I think the argumentis between that, the U.S.
Open, and the and the British Open, but theidea is that everybody that's in the tournament
has earned a spot, and there's no amateurs.
There's you know, sectional qualifying guysthat haven't played in forever.
Everybody in the field is is either a what?
A teaching pro that that I mean, they had toshoot pretty good, I think, to get into the
(07:53):
event, and, obviously, every tour pro is ispretty playing pretty good to get in the event.
So
Did I see Michael Block once again qualifying?
Yeah.
I think he got an automatic in, but actually, our local guy, Jesse Mueller, he's a I think
he's a dealer baby?
Yeah.
GC is a yeah.
I met him a couple years ago.
I was actually gonna give him a call, but Iguess he's gonna be a little busy.
(08:17):
But yeah.
Shout out to that guy.
He's played in in a few PGA Championships.
So I hope
that that guy is a golfer.
He can absolutely play.
But, Brent, you mentioned that you had a littlestory from your qualifier.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we were up in Reno, Nevada, this weekend upat Somerset Country Club, and we had sustained
(08:39):
winds over 40 miles an hour for about we wereout there for about six hours.
And granted, there were only 40 people thatplayed and 15 of them withdrew, and we were
still out there for six hours.
But, essentially, the low scores were three, four, five over.
(09:01):
And, yeah, it was it sucked.
It was about 50 degrees.
It was raining, blowing 50.
Yeah.
It blew.
Sounds terrible.
Do do you alright over there?
Dude, I had a coughing fit.
Buttsy caught the whole thing.
Jeez.
Hacking up a lung over there.
(09:22):
I hit the mute button super
fast too.
I saw it.
I saw it.
I was
like, I cannot ruin the audio on this.
So you didn't have a pleasant experience.
So I was playing in a charity scramble event upat Troon North, and sure enough, the wind was
gusting up there as well.
It was gusting probably between, at times, 15to 30, like, in that range.
(09:45):
Like, it was not an easy day up therewhatsoever.
So and if it was raining too
Yeah.
It sucked.
That's miserable.
Yeah.
It could
not play.
I didn't even see.
Yeah.
I shot seven over.
I got the first alternate.
There were three spots.
I got first alternate.
I double-bogeyed two of the par threes.
I mean, it was, like, to the point where you'reliterally hitting two iron from 90 yards, and
(10:11):
it's barely getting there.
Or, you know, you're chipping seven irons from10 yards because the golf ball is just I mean,
was blowing on the greens.
It was the worst conditions I've ever played inby far.
Did the ball stay on the greens?
Like, when you putt?
Did it roll when you
Sorta.
I mean, it rolled several times.
I mean, there were a couple times where I leftthe putt, like, this far short, and I waited
(10:33):
because it was kinda doing this.
And then I was like and then there were acouple times where I watched the ball roll
completely off the green.
I mean, it was impossible.
I think I hit one approach shot on the thirdhole to four feet, and the rest of the time was
just hoping and praying that it was gonna getanywhere near the hole.
So sounds like you
played pretty good then.
Yeah.
I mean, I played fine.
(10:54):
Like I said, other than the two double bogeyson the par threes, I mean, I missed out by two.
I had a guy, the guy that I was playing with, one of them dropped out before he, you know,
didn't even show up.
The other guy was an electrician.
Doesn't play competitively at all.
He's 16 over.
Yeah.
Was 16 over through 10 holes.
He left me on the 11th fairway, and it wasblowing 45, raining.
(11:19):
I mean, I was out there praying, doing whateverI could to be like, please stop.
I had to do some electrical work.
So I mean, possibly.
16 over through 10.
I mean, that's
That's tough.
But, thankfully, nobody's getting a letter fromthat event.
They literally had the head rules official orwhatever called headquarters and was like,
(11:41):
listen.
Like, we can't even keep a golf ball on thegreen.
And they were like, no.
You have to play right now.
No delays.
Period.
End of story.
And normally, you're
first alternate.
So what happened?
I mean, obviously, we know what a firstalternate Yeah.
I mean chance of a guy dropping out?
We'll see.
I mean, the three guys all looked like theywere pretty young and gung-ho, but, honestly, I
(12:02):
haven't local qualified in over a decade.
The only other time I sectional qualified wastwo years ago when I made it through.
So we'll see.
If we get it, we get it.
If not, it is what it is.
I mean, I'm just happy that I finished the damnround because it was it was tough.
Real tough.
How about this name, Von Hook?
Hey, guys.
What up, Von Hook?
(12:22):
What up, Von Hook?
Love you.
What's up, doll?
What's
up?
But, yeah, it was tough.
The guy said, there won't be any letters sentout for high scores.
Said that to me.
And I was kinda
like, awesome.
I mean, I guess.
Yeah.
What what does that mean?
Is there a letter that you're talking aboutthis
(12:43):
You need
a letter that goes through the high score?
Yeah.
So if if you play a USGA qualifier and youshoot above a certain number, I think it's,
like, 10 shots above average or something likethat.
Oh.
Then you get a letter.
And if it's egregious enough, so let's say youshoot a hundred, you are literally barred from
qualifying for, like, quite some time.
(13:05):
What number is that that you you have to shoot?
Is it triple digits?
No.
It's like 10 shots above average.
So, like, let's say, you know, the average wastwo under or whatever and somebody went out and
shot, you know, 80 or something, you know, something like that, it'd be it'd be a little
tough.
But, yeah, it's it's pretty brutal for the USGAto be like, sorry.
(13:26):
You can't qualify again.
Have a nice day.
Yeah.
That's tough.
Well, they make you prove a GHIN.
Right?
You have to be below, like, 2.8 or some shit?
Yeah.
You're right.
Yeah.
So, I mean, it's it's obviously I mean, eveneven Tony Greco, my coach, he went and played
the Palmer Palmer private for the locals lastweek.
(13:48):
His guy shot 61 on the front.
Now, obviously, that kid's getting a letter.
61 on the front is yeah.
That's tough.
Especially when
you shoot her
on the back.
Tony Tony left because he was like, this isthis is not fun.
That's not good.
That's not good.
That's called choking, folks.
That's called dealing with some pressure.
(14:10):
Because if you are a 2.8 handicap or lower, that's tough to do.
Yeah.
I mean, but I mean, you guys know.
I mean, how many guys do you know that are, oh,I'm a scratch golfer at my home course.
I know it's 6,700 yards, but, you know, I'll befine.
Goes out and plays a normal tournament, par 72,7,100 yards, and shoots a million.
(14:34):
And he's like, I just don't know what happened.
It's like, tough for him.
I've done that.
That shows up once every couple months.
You go out, and it does, you know, you'reworking on something or you don't feel right or
for whatever reason, every ball's in the shit, and it doesn't take long for that
to happen.
Hope it doesn't happen at a USGA goal.
I tell you what.
If you are a member out here at Kierland inArizona and you are under a 2.8 handicap,
(15:00):
you're probably more like a 14 handicap.
Yeah.
So that makes sense.
I totally get it.
Let's go over some of the odds this week forour betting segment here.
And first off, Scottie Scheffler is thefavorite right now at plus 400.
Rory McIlroy is the second favorite, plus 450.
(15:24):
You got Bryson DeChambeau filling out thatthird slot at plus 700.
You've got let's see.
Xander Schauffele at plus 2,200.
I like that.
I really like Xander and Justin Thomas at thatplus 2,200 spot.
You also got Ludvig Aberg at plus 2,500.
(15:46):
Collin Morikawa is also there plus 2,500.
Joaquin Niemann plus 3,500.
Patrick Cantlay plus 4,000.
Brooks Koepka plus 4,000.
Hideki Matsuyama plus 4,500.
Tommy Fleetwood plus 4,500.
Tyrrell or Tyrell, depends on how you want tosay it, Hatton is plus 5,000.
(16:10):
Viktor Hovland is plus 5,000.
Shane Lowry plus 5,500.
I also like Jordan Spieth at the plus 6,000marker right there.
Sepp Straka, Corey Conners at plus 7,000.
Patrick Reed, Jason Day, Russell Henley, plus8,000.
Then Min Woo Lee, plus 9,000.
(16:30):
The list goes on and on.
Man, really?
The question here that I have for you guysbased on those odds, we've got one, two, three,
four.
So four, five-ish.
Yeah.
How many hang on a second.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen,
(16:56):
fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen,nineteen, twenty.
So out of 20 players, we've got one, two, three, four, five.
So out of 20 players, five LIV golfers are inthe top 20 for betting odds.
Now slots three and four are Bryson DeChambeauand Jon Rahm.
(17:19):
Do you think that
I was gonna ask you about Rahm.
Well, like, what's he at?
He's at plus 1,800.
I don't like, here's the thing.
Jon Rahm, since he's gone over to LIV Golf, andI'm a Jon Rahm fan.
Like, I love his game and everything, but Ijust don't feel like he's the same guy that he
was when he was grinding it out on the PGATour, and that's just from watching him
(17:43):
firsthand.
Yeah.
I don't I don't know why they keep putting Jonso high up.
Just I guess it's due to his past record.
Right?
What can I say?
Has he played good here?
Francis?
No.
No.
I mean, not really.
I mean, his history at Quail is not, you know?
I mean, like any great player, when they'replaying well, they'll play fine.
(18:07):
But to win, I don't see where I I guess it'sout of respect.
Other than that, I don't I don't really see itat all.
Yeah.
I'm not I'm not sure I love that particularone.
I think Bryson is playing really, really welland obviously almost won the Masters.
So I get Bryson being in that top-five group.
But truth be told, I'd put Xander, JustinThomas ahead of Jon Rahm.
(18:34):
That's why I'm kinda digging the odds forXander and Justin Thomas right now.
Like, those are kind of value picks right thereat plus 2,200.
Ludvig too.
I mean, Ludvig is there
a course?
Von Hook.
That's who he's got.
Von Hook's got Ludvig.
Von Hook has Ludvig.
Is there any golf course that doesn't fit hisgolf swing?
(18:59):
I mean no.
It's just so damn straight and so long thatit's like, he could play just about anywhere.
Yeah.
Brent, you second that?
Yeah.
I mean, I've played with him.
I played with him at the when he won his firstevent.
I mean, it's just a joke.
I mean, it's so consistent.
(19:20):
His swing hasn't changed.
You could tell that his demeanor is gettingmore and more mature.
He's getting better at being in the spotlight.
I mean, he played well at the Masters.
Obviously, he's continued that.
I think if there were two or three guys outsideof Rory and Scottie, he would be one of them.
(19:42):
Justin Thomas, for sure.
I mean, he won the PGA there, and that wasagainst all of the guys that we're talking
about outside of, obviously, the young guys.
But, I mean, honestly, Trot, as far as Wyndhamand Billy Horschel are concerned, I think I
think
Well, Billy's hurt.
Yeah.
Billy's not playing.
Oh, there you go.
So Billy's hurting.
Billy had surgery.
(20:04):
We forgot to mention that on the show lastweek.
I saw that come across, and he actually had, like, this heartfelt post that he put out on X.
Oh, god.
But that being said, he is out for a while.
Just had surgery, so wish the best for him.
Wyndham's at plus 11,000.
I just haven't seen the confidence that he had,but this is the golf course that he won at.
(20:30):
Right?
It is.
It is, and it was against every single guy, butit's different now.
The golf course is much longer.
It's gonna be set up more difficult.
I mean, if the score is a I mean, depending onwhat the weather's like, if it's a normal week
out there, I think the score is gonna be above10 under well, below 10 under as in less than
(20:51):
10 under.
Believe so.
Oh, you do?
Yeah.
I mean, it's a longer course.
They stretched I mean, just the 16th holealone, they stretched out another 50 yards.
So, normally, when they would bomb it over thecorner, have an eight iron in or a wedge
depending on which way the wind is going.
They got at minimum an eight iron.
So and that's for the longer guys.
So
Cody Hamilton says, Billy on the shelf andstill bitter that LIV wouldn't take his offer.
(21:15):
Did he get did he offer to go over to LIV?
Not sure.
Cody Hamilton might know something there thatwe don't.
A little late now.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't know.
You have you guys have either one of you Imean, I'm sure you've watched the Wells a
bunch.
Have either of you been on property there?
(21:35):
It's it's probably the best.
Oh, it's the whole.
Quail Hollow?
No.
It's literally the Masters.
It's like North North Master or North Augustais basically what they call it.
And so the owner just does whatever he wants, writes a blank check to the course to be able
to do whatever they need to.
And, I mean, it's hosted, what, three or fourPGA Championships in these last couple of
(22:01):
decades.
The Presidents Cup was there.
Right?
So I was kinda thinking back.
I'm like, okay.
The type of pressure that you get in a major issimilar to potentially, like, the Presidents
Cup.
And I was trying to think of, like, who playedreally well during the Presidents Cup?
And then I started thinking, I'm like, shit.
Tom Kim played really well in the PresidentsCup, and he played that like, he's not the
(22:22):
longest guy, but Tom Kim, he's plus 20,000
this week.
Whoa.
week.
Whoa.
Yeah.
That'd be tough.
I I I think his after the what was it?
Last was it yeah.
I guess it was.
Last last fall was the Presidents Cup where hehad all that dancing and screaming.
I mean, he's Buttsy's favorite golfer, so, Imean, he's gotta be gotta have some sort of
(22:46):
I love Tom Kim.
He's he's actually he's actually awesome.
But, yeah, I mean, he's I don't see ithappening for anybody that doesn't absolutely
bomb it off.
Hang on a second.
I wanna go back to Wyndham Clark real quickbecause Buttsy and Wyndham are having a little
bromance lately.
We are?
Yeah.
(23:07):
You wanna
Did you know this?
Brent?
Brent didn't know this?
Oh, did with the audience what happened?
Uh-oh.
No.
I'm being serious.
They have a little bromance going.
You know something I don't?
Or I was gonna say.
Come on.
You're the one.
You're the one that told me it's smaller thanI'm making it out to be.
Buttsy left a comment on one of
(23:29):
Wyndham's posts, and Wyndham liked it.
Wyndham liked it better.
Yeah.
Did like it.
Go.
Bromance happening right there.
And then I DM'd him a bunch of not just hearts, but the ones with fire on them.
Hearts on fire for each other.
You know what's funny is my trainer worked outof the same gym that he went to or goes to, I
(23:52):
guess.
And he called it end of last year.
He was like, Wyndham's not gonna have a goodyear.
Wow.
Well, you
know.
He's dealt with some injuries that I do knowof.
Yeah.
It's the training.
That's basically what he was saying.
Gotcha.
Well, he works out with my old trainer.
So Yeah.
Mhmm.
Shots fired within the trainer.
(24:13):
It's not even that guy.
That guy's awesome.
He went to TPI, actually, and they put him onsome sort of machine.
And what they have him doing is, like, rippingthat left side back, like, even with wedges.
And so, like, you'll see, like, this kind ofmovement.
And so, like, this kind of movement to get tothe ball, and that's why he kinda blew out his
(24:34):
neck a little bit.
So Jeez.
Unfortunate.
Wyndham's probably one of the only guys that'spretty genuine out there, so he's a good dude.
It's unfortunate for him.
Yeah.
Guys, what about Phil Mickelson at plus 40
Oh, oh.
That's my god.
He's throwing a thrill.
We're throwing a 10 a 10 spot on for sure.
(24:55):
Well Yeah.
A little tenner.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
%.
Yeah.
A kid that I would actually say to watch outfor that I like better than Phil at the PGA
Championship is Tom McKibbin at plus 40,000.
What's Strocker at?
Who?
Sup.
Seb Strocker.
(25:15):
Strocker.
Streak.
Sleeper.
Sleeper.
I'm like, who are you talking about?
The Streak?
Yeah.
Let's see.
Seb Strocker's at plus 7,000.
I mean, he I mean, he's a sleeper.
I mean, he's arguably
too bad.
I mean, he's won, what, two or three times inthe last in the last year.
(25:35):
He's played consistent golf.
He's been up there a lot.
He's gonna he's an automatic does Phil bestwell Yeah.
Trot truck golfer, does Phil Mickelson bestgood old Blocky, Michael Block.
Yes.
He does.
I don't know, man.
Like, Michael Block loves PGA Championships.
They're his thing.
He's a little different now.
(25:56):
I feel like Phil's still hitting it 30 byBlocky, though.
Yeah.
At least.
Yeah.
Phil bombs it still.
Actually, an older gentleman today was, like, talking to me about how he likes the Grant
Horvat, Phil Mickelson stuff on YouTube.
I'm like, what the heck?
(26:16):
I'm like, wow.
Yeah?
I mean, I've watched a few of them.
Like, their dynamic is actually pretty, like, genuine, I feel like.
What do you think, Buttsy?
You're you're our YouTube expert.
Yeah.
I mean, I well, all of that shit disgusts me,but I understand it.
I understand it.
(26:37):
Like, I yeah.
They're they're a match made in heaven.
Grant's a nerd.
Phil secretly makes fun of him for being a nerdwithout actually making fun of him and takes
advantage of, I don't know, not his softness, but his innocence, and they go back and forth.
And now Grant's starting to pick up on some ofthat, I think, and now they have this sweet
(26:58):
little Nickelodeon love match that they do, andpeople are just kinda, oh, that's funny and
cute.
Like, that's fucking just so cute.
So that's where I think that whole thing's at.
Wow.
Love that.
Anti-LIV, what the fuck is this the LIV segmentMcCribble?
So I didn't like the Tommy McKibbin comment byme.
(27:20):
That's for sure.
Let's see.
What do we got?
JB tn 23 says he 100% agrees with you, Buttsy.
I think I covered it.
I think he nailed it.
Yeah.
I mean, what else is there?
I mean, it's a bromance.
Oh, there's a ton.
(27:41):
I mean, what else can Phil do but stay close toa rising star like that?
It's just like he's taking him under his wingwhen, in actuality, Grant Horvath is
significantly more relevant.
And single-handedly probably increasing hiscoffee sales by 30%.
Yeah.
He's probably gone on his, like, Good Good sitesomewhere or whatever.
(28:03):
Question for you guys.
Has anybody in golf dropped off as hard as PhilMickelson did going from really the pinnacle of
just people loving him when he won the PGAChampionship at Kiawah?
Like, nobody expected that.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
That.
It's one of the biggest stories in the world.
And then all of a sudden, you get him going toLIV and all the controversy around that, him
(28:28):
talking about the Saudis and getting suspended.
Like, yeah.
Just really a fall from grace in a lot of waysfor Phil Mickelson.
Has there been anybody that has had a biggerfall?
Well, I mean, obviously, we can go back to thebig cat, you know, a little while ago.
But as far as most recently,
(28:49):
Yeah.
I mean, maybe Tiger, but that was different.
That's what I'm saying.
Rebounded.
Yeah.
So, You know
what, Kyle has.
Well,
it's just I could roll his car and turn hisright leg into a walking cane.
Like, it's a little different.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't think I don't think I mean, Iwas talking about prior to that.
But yeah.
(29:10):
I don't know if there needs to be, like, agraph or something that we're missing.
But, yeah, it's it's it's definitely tough.
I mean, Jon Rahm probably has the steepestfalloff as far as his game is concerned, going
from best in the world to not even scratching acut.
So,
(29:31):
I mean, I definitely thought that when it cameto Jon Rahm, when he left for LIV, he was the
second.
Like, him and Scottie were kind of the top twoguys.
Oh, he was, he was, yeah.
And he won five times.
Scottie was, you know, kinda in there, but Jon,I mean, the argument was that the player of the
year should have been this that like, it it youknow, bottom line is Jon Rahm won five times.
(29:56):
Scottie had a lower scoring average and didn'tgo to LIV.
So but, I mean, I don't know if anybody doesanybody hate Jon Rahm for going, or do they
just kinda Sergio?
I don't know.
Hate Rahm for going.
I don't know.
Sergio is just always disliked.
Sergio has just been disliked.
Oh my god.
Remember when he used to do that fucking pausething for, like and then they had him on the
(30:18):
clock doing it, like, 45 times.
And
Oh, yeah.
And his hand, his grip
team said God hated him.
Then he said God hated him when he was chunkingbunker shots.
He said that the golf gods were against him.
Yeah.
Golf gods, maybe.
But, I mean, that's what's interesting.
So if he plays if he'd you if he'd have made itto the Ryder Cup this year at Bethpage, that
(30:40):
was when back, like, early 2000s, right, whenthey were like, you know, all that for that
when he grip changed 45 times and then, youknow,
fuck off crowd.
Kevin Na or Sergio Garcia?
Think Sergio.
Think Sergio because of where it was.
I mean, the New York crowd just absolutely gaveit to him.
I mean
Who's the dude on tour, the slow fuck there whowas getting a bunch of
(31:02):
public Crane.
No.
No.
Not Crane.
Different guy.
Well, that's when Rory Sabbatini remember whenRory was on the green?
Yeah.
And Ben Crane was still, like, prepping hisshot?
Literally.
He walked so fast, so far ahead, and Ben Cranetook so long.
Rory Sabbatini was an asshole, though.
(31:24):
A lot of people like him on tour,
like him.
He's Yeah.
I mean, he's he's very like
He's just kind of a brash dude, like, and hewears really, really bright clothes now.
Well, something's gotta be a sunshine, becauseit's certainly in his smile, which you never
see.
Too good.
I mean, most disliked player in the last inthis in this century?
(31:47):
Oh.
Disliked player in the last century.
Like, in the last twenty-five years?
Probably Patrick Reed.
You think?
Yeah.
I think nobody liked Patrick up until he wasforced onto a LIV Golf team.
Well Yeah.
And all the the the multiple.
(32:09):
The thing with the change.
Right?
The thing with the change.
Yeah.
Cameraman.
Yeah.
The cameraman.
Yeah.
And bitch that guy out and then getting thenblatantly scrubbing the sand in the bunker.
Yeah.
Before that.
I mean, he did it two years in a row in thesame bunker in the same place.
Yeah.
And it it was two years in a row, and they'relike, well and nothing ever happened.
(32:30):
I did hear that that Vijay was quite unliked
Yeah.
For a long time.
For cheating.
Yeah.
When he first came out
You know what?
That When
he first came out and the
I've heard it from multiple people that he waspretty well known for, you know, taking
advantage.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
He absolutely, yeah.
I mean, the first part of his career was, Ithink it was on the Asian Tour.
(32:52):
He legitimately was a hardcore cheater.
Went off, disappeared into some Fijian forestsomewhere and came back and then was arguably
the third, if not second or third, best playerbetween Tiger, Phil, and himself.
I mean, he won like 40 or 50 times, and, obviously, in that one year, he won 10 times.
(33:13):
So, I mean Voodoo is getting
as the most hated golfer this week in thefield.
I guess I just don't.
Patrick Reed.
Yeah.
It's right?
Probably other guys out there that just don't,that it doesn't surface on social media that
guys don't like either, but they're not worthtalking about.
(33:35):
Did you guys realize this?
That Patrick Reed's wife runs a Twitter accountthat literally, yeah, has done
What is it about?
Favor.
Just how much they love Patrick Reed.
So it's like a bot?
Basically, but I believe people have figuredout that it is his wife.
(34:00):
Like, they've proven that it's his.
his. Oh,
damn.
So yeah.
There you go.
See, so Trot Golf, he explained '80 was that1984, he said?
Yeah.
1984.
There you go.
God.
That was the year I was born.
Changed a five to a four after signing bannedfrom the Asian Tour.
Yep.
And then he had the deer antler spray issue.
(34:22):
Well, they sued the touring one.
I don't know.
And and the the muffing, there was a fairwaywood muff multiple times.
There was
Yeah.
They can be over the ground.
Trying to cheat.
There's literally moving his ball.
Okay.
So with this, do you think Vijay Singh wouldhave been our modern-day Patrick Reed if
cameras were as prevalent and if social mediawas around and so forth?
(34:47):
I don't know.
I mean, Phil was not necessarily loved.
I mean, among the tour reps, among players, foryears, Phil was very much disliked.
I think Vijay just was known as just kind of anasshole, and then just everybody just kind of a
greaseball.
A greaseball.
Yeah.
I mean, cheating and stuff like that, I mean,it's it's ridiculous.
And Talor Gooch is with Joaquin Niemann, whichis Joaquin Niemann isn't well liked either.
(35:12):
Yeah.
I just heard that one.
I feel bad.
I mean, I don't know anybody that doesn't likehim, but I think any of the guys that were
young and went to the LIV tour, they're justkind of like, alright.
You're you're you're a nonfavorite.
I think Vijay had a bit of a reputation aswell, his first year on tour.
Yep.
Yeah.
(35:32):
But it was, like, half and half.
It was, like, half and half.
Everybody was like, oh, he's just, you know, that guy.
And then it was like, I fucking can't stand it.
He walks around like he owns the place.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You came walking up in Houston with metalspikes on it.
Was like, dude, don't
fuck yourself.
It's like and it was coming from caddies.
That's funny.
Did you ever make a putt and fist pump and say,I was meant for this?
(35:57):
Is that a true story?
It is not.
It is not true.
It is not true.
I have, however, been on live TV yelling, fuckyeah, right in front of the camera, and they
didn't leave it out.
Yeah.
That's Yeah.
That's fine.
I feel like that's completely normal.
You know?
I should have said, like, America, comma, fuckyeah, but, you know, whatever.
(36:17):
Getting back to the PGA Championship, we got alittle off track there.
Lowest round?
Just the hair.
At Duval.
Right?
What's that?
Lowest round.
At Quail?
No.
In in history, PGA Champ.
Was it Duval?
I don't know.
That's a good question.
That would be your most hated golfer too.
I was gonna say, like, why didn't we bring thatguy up?
(36:38):
Yeah.
Because I don't
It's personal?
It's personal, dude.
Yeah.
I don't think that generally speaking, he'sprobably that bad of a guy.
He's he's not.
He's just in a bad moment.
He had a bad moment in
the wrong time.
Nice to a fucking fat little fuck that wasbothering him after a bad day and wanted his
autograph.
Yeah.
Well
Yeah.
(36:58):
Good.
I mean, when was that?
Gonna stick.
When was that?
1990
No.
That would have been February
Oh, fuck.
'1.
Okay.
So he's still borderline prime Duval.
Borderline.
Like, later Yeah.
It was, like, right before he was takingChinese Ozempic.
Oh, okay.
Makes sense.
(37:19):
He was 62
by Xander Schauffele, and then Austin saysTiger sixty-two at Southern Hills.
So 62 seems to be the low.
Southern Hills.
Oh, no fat.
Thought I thought
wants to know, was it thin Duval or fat Duval?
No.
It's that's what I was saying.
He was, like, on his way down right before hetook the prototype Ozempic.
(37:39):
Yeah.
Oh, so he might have been cranky.
Yeah.
Probably hangry.
Probably hangry.
Yeah.
When he looked at you, and you were like, wow.
Like, what kid eats well.
Yeah.
He's like I
want that.
To eat.
Yeah.
I He
He had I would have had him sign acheeseburger, he would've
Oh, yeah.
Been very happy.
(38:01):
Percent.
I'm trying to pull up from last year.
I gotta go to the Truist, technically, to thattournament in order to pull up the previous
results at Quail.
By the way, we have to go back.
I will not be buying any more Diet MountainLightning as I'm sitting here just licking my
teeth.
I am absolutely trying to keep it together.
(38:24):
There's gotta be so much caffeine in this shit, dude.
The sugar.
The sugar.
100 percent.
The liter of it, and I'm just like, dude, Idon't know if this is a good call on your
behalf.
No.
And I like the habit sip on here, and now I'm,like, three-quarters of the way through it.
Like,
And he still drinks it.
(38:49):
Oh god.
Yeah.
I mean, once you start, you can't stop.
How about this?
Now.
How about this?
You guys wanna hear a funny, quick littlecaddie story?
Yeah.
Go for it.
I don't know if you know this name, I've nevermet the guy.
I never heard of the guy, but I get a textmessage this morning saying, I'm Patrick Swift.
(39:12):
I had 25-plus years on the tour, basicallysaying I wanna try out with you at Ladera for a
week, and I I I wanna help you becomesuccessful.
So I text my buddy who's caddied for a longtime, and I said, do you know who this is?
He's like, yeah.
Good caddie, but well known for lying.
(39:35):
I went, so is he a good caddie, or where are wegoing?
Don't know.
Matt, do you know who that is?
I mean No.
Okay.
Well, shut
What's he lying about?
Like, how far you are to the hole?
I don't get it.
I love that you just name-dropped him and thenshat all over him for
a second.
To be honest, that's what I heard.
I mean, so but oh,
(39:57):
it's crazy.
His name popped up.
I'm not a liar.
Hopefully, he's listening and can rebut this.
That's fine.
But, anyways, I mean, I told him the truth.
I'm not in any Korn Ferry events anytime soon,so I didn't hear back from him.
So but I know you're trying.
Guess you don't know who it is.
Trout wants to know, is there any tryouts forthe bag?
(40:18):
Dude, that's a good at
GCU next week?
Anyway, that's not a wait.
What are you playing in at GCU?
A little Asher tournament.
Oh, that's tough, dude.
I don't like, I wouldn't wanna caddy on theKorn Ferry or PGA Tour.
Korn Ferry?
Asher Tour?
That's a little tough.
Yeah.
(40:38):
I mean, you go out there.
You ride in the carts.
No.
GCU is a great course.
Yeah.
It's fine.
Trout wants to know what days?
Fuck.
It's the 20th to the
20th to the 22nd.
I think it's on the it's on the website.
I can't remember. I
probably a pretty good caddy.
Dude, I think he might
just I
just wanna meet the guy.
I mean, I feel like I know him.
(40:59):
I feel like we know each other.
We all know each other.
I met him, and he lives up to the legendaryjust
the most just
He's a very stoic man, and I'm pretty sure hepractices magic.
Trot Trot definitely is a vibe.
And not only is he a vibe, but he rolls his owncigarettes.
(41:19):
Oh, let's go.
Yeah.
No filter?
Come on.
No filter.
No.
Oh.
The way it's done.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I like that.
Because you're kinda guy, Brent.
Perfect.
So let's let's talk a little Quail Hollow rightnow.
So in 2024, when Xander Schauffele came insecond to Rory McIlroy, guess who was just
(41:40):
behind him?
Ben An, Jason Day, and Sungjae Im.
And if I recall correctly, Sungjae playedpretty well in the Presidents Cup too.
He did?
He did?
So there's some guys for you.
Guess who is in the top 10 consistently atQuail Hollow?
Max Homa,
(42:00):
who and he looks like he's not stuck anymore, maybe.
He's not stuck anymore.
He's starting to play better.
I just don't know if he it takes time to getto, like, that elite level to be able to
compete in like, even if you're I don't know.
Even if you are used to a golf course, you playa golf course well, Max Homa, I think, is still
(42:24):
a little ways away.
Yeah.
I think you're I think you're spot on there.
I mean, it just looking at all the changes thathave happened with that guy, I mean, has he
cracked the top five at all this year?
Dude, I will tell you this too, that if halfthe stuff that people have messaged me about
him is accurate, he's been going through someshit.
(42:46):
Oh, yeah.
I mean, the one of his best friends was on hisbag, and then he his best friend
basically fired his even the half of it.
Oh, gosh.
So yeah.
There's a lot more
Offline conversation.
Yeah.
Like, I but it's also I love the guy.
I mean, I'm receiving DMs from people herelocally that say that they know him, know the
(43:08):
situation going on.
I just haven't felt comfortable to bring it upor say anything about it.
But we can talk offline in regards to it.
But if half the stuff that people are saying istrue, like
That sucks.
It's pretty wild as to some of the stuff thathe's been going through.
That sucks.
Now he's off to
you.
To the fact that if we go back to 2022-23 whenWyndham Clark won, guess who was in second that
(43:32):
year as well?
Xander Schauffele.
Mhmm.
So are we looking at a Xander Schauffele whojust hasn't broken through at Quail Hollow who
dominates it almost as much as Rory McIlroy, but just in second place?
The injury earlier this year, different thingsgoing on.
I mean, last year, had great year.
(43:52):
It's tough.
There's I mean, you gotta you can't talk enoughabout Justin Thomas either.
I mean, there's he's won I think he won the PGAthere.
I think he actually, I think he won it twice, didn't he?
Back back yeah.
He did.
Right?
Yeah.
So, I mean, he's he did he plays really wellthere as well.
So in
Max Homa too.
(44:13):
He won in
Yep.
So, yeah, I mean, it's exciting.
That plays that course wins.
What's super tight?
What are his odds?
It's, like, plus
to the odds.
So this
might be a good pick.
Could be a
sneak a sneaky one.
Do you say
two, seven thousand?
(44:34):
Oh, god.
Freaking
Come on.
I'd be on there.
FanDuel's like, are you okay?
Do you have a problem?
You've been on for 45 minutes.
It's like, I haven't placed a bet, man.
I'm just looking at odds.
Have you guys been to the DraftKings place overat No.
It looks
really cool there.
It is.
(44:55):
Yeah.
Plus 17,000 for Max Homa.
Seventeen thousand.
So hold on.
So you put a hundred dollars down, you winwhat?
How much?
Hundred and $17,000.
17 hundred.
Yeah.
Actually, no.
It's more than that.
No.
17,000.
So times So
that would be 17,000.
(45:15):
If you put in a hundred, it would be $17,000.
You'd win.
God, I would love to be able to post that.
Just no.
I wouldn't post that.
Fuck.
Just saying.
Yeah.
I can't say anything.
But, yeah, I mean, it oh.
I mean, do we this is why I love thesetournaments over the elevated events because
(45:36):
all of this kinda leads.
You got the live guys.
You got all this stuff happening.
Quails are great.
I think this is probably gonna be the bestmajor all year.
It could be.
It could end up being the best major just froma competition standpoint.
Mhmm.
With all these guys peaking at the right timeand how many guys played this golf course
really, really well.
(45:56):
Cody Hamilton is giving us a little bit of acorrection here around some of the notes from
others around the PGA Championship.
He said Tiger Woods shot 63 at Southern Hills, also was a par 70 versus par 71 last year.
He misspoke on Reed shooting a 62 last year.
Other fat guy, Lowry, in round three, X Men andLowry have the record of nine under 62 at a PGA
(46:23):
Championship.
I mean That's right.
They both broke it last year.
Yeah.
I I can't believe I didn't remember that.
It's gonna be a blast.
I mean, I hope I haven't seen the weatherreport, but, man, if it's good weather, that
golf course is probably the best golf coursethey play all year anyways.
Poor Buttsy, man.
I'm sorry.
Buttsy is, like, fighting.
(46:44):
Having issues.
You make it?
That Mountain Dew.
And you said it was see, I never trust anythingother than just regular Mountain Dew because I
feel like they crack it out.
Like, Mountain Dew smash.
It's like, how do you, like,
not have a little asterisk?
Does that have a little asterisk underneath itsaying this has cocaine in it?
(47:08):
Mountain Lightning?
Don't you read something like
even Mountain Dew, but that's like a knockoffMountain Dew from Read the ingredients.
Read the ingredients for us, Buttsy.
Fuck.
No.
I ain't reading that shit.
I know.
It's fucking long.
Oh, god.
FDA is not approved.
No.
(47:29):
FDA has already squashed that company.
It's gone bankrupt.
Gone.
Gone.
Oh, man.
That's horrible.
I'm still trying to find some other sleepers inthis entire thing.
Adam Scott.
I think Sepp Straka is
big sleep.
You think Sepp?
Yeah.
Great player.
He's been playing well.
Sepp Straka has played well there previouslytoo.
(47:49):
So I mean, it's a good Robert MacIntyre.
Bobby Mac.
Lefties don't do well there.
No.
But why?
Bobby Mac is plus 11,000.
Lefties generally don't hit it.
I mean, if he hits a draw for him, it's kind ofa problem, and you really can't lose the ball
left there.
(48:10):
I think it's a safe cut.
Yeah.
Then that's a problem.
Yeah.
Can't really lose the ball left there.
I mean, the whole, let's see, 14, the short par4, you can't lose it left, so he's gotta lay up
off the tee.
15, you can't lose it left.
16, you can't lose it left.
What about Fowler?
Fowler's played well there.
Rickie has played well actually.
(48:32):
I don't know if he's long enough.
He was playing good last week too.
I heard he busted it, dude.
No.
He gets it out there.
I mean, he's probably 307, 310.
Alright.
Somewhere in there.
Yeah.
And, I mean, the big thing is whether or nothis mushroom concoction is gonna be right where
it needs to be.
Rickie is plus 17,000.
Are you saying that Rickie's on psilocybin?
(48:52):
I said mushrooms.
Yeah.
That's psilocybin.
No.
No.
No.
Like, you know, like the lion's mane and stufflike that.
Oh, I got you.
I like it when all of a sudden we're talkingabout this as, hey.
If he's got his mushroom mix just right, watchout.
You can't say that.
It.
(49:13):
Mean, what's in that drink you're drinking?
Oh,
man.
Used to drink the mushroom coffee, and did thatfor a while.
I I drink it every day.
It's fantastic.
Are you drinking it right now?
Laird Superfood.
Yeah.
Just just down a whole cup.
Tastes like dirt.
No.
(49:33):
No.
I'm just looking.
This is a deep, deep field.
I think it's one of the strongest fields we'vehad as far as how many players are trending.
It's probably one of the strongest we've had inquite some time.
I mean, you
I think it's either gonna be one of the topthree or some fuckhead that's, like, we're
talking about plus 15,000.
(49:54):
Justin Rose?
Can't forget about that.
Is up there.
You also got a guy like Thriston Lawrence,
who remember gosh.
Wait.
He
he played really well at the Open Championship.
He's plus 100,000.
Over a hundred Mahan at.
Oh my god.
(50:15):
He doesn't even play golf anymore.
Okay.
So
He's a high school golf coach, but I heard he'sbeen grinding.
I saw a tweet from I forget who the hell itwas.
It was one of these influencer girls about aconversation from Hunter Mahan to this girl.
I don't know if this is real or not, but if itis, it was a hell of a comment.
(50:36):
Hunter Mahan said that Quail Hollow is like theKardashians.
The Kardashian.
Yeah.
It's modern.
It has all this, but it has no soul.
I'm just like, holy shit.
I believe that he's real.
You think it's real?
Yeah.
I not it's not a surprise.
He doesn't hold a lot of good feelings about alot of places.
(50:56):
But, yeah, that's the dumbest thing I've everheard.
The only other one out there besides him thatmight come back and bomb, it's like with
Jonathan Kaye.
I think Charles Howell III is gonna come back.
Watch out for him.
Three sticks.
Tucky three sticks, baby.
I mean, he plays well on LIV.
Mark Kieffer's in the field.
(51:19):
Yes.
He
is.
He's got Stallings in the field.
Yep.
Who?
Is Stallings in the field?
Mhmm.
Dude, I don't know.
Is he?
He should be.
I'm looking through.
Don't know.
If he's not hurt?
I don't know.
Man, that guy.
He's not in here.
I tell you.
I won't even mention that story because it's alittle messed up.
But yeah.
(51:40):
I mean, what's Troy Merritt?
That's another guy that Troy's not in theseason.
He's gonna stage a comeback.
Troy's a good player, but he dealt with theyips.
That's why Bobby left him.
Does Tiger come out to these tournaments?
No.
Like, even, like, behind
the game?
(52:01):
Did I see he did I see he got surgery again andhe's swinging already, or did he get surgery
and then rupture, like, an Achilles orsomething like that?
Right?
I need to give Lance Bennett a call as we'retalking about this because I was actually
thinking about Lance today, and I'm like, beingTiger's caddy right now, like, he's not
(52:22):
caddying for anybody else that I know of.
He might be caddying this week.
I don't know.
But like, what's the deal?
Does he just get a salary to just hang out withhis family all year long?
Probably.
Like, I think he does.
Like, I talked to him.
I know initially he gets like, there's likethis whole deal with Tiger with being the caddy
(52:43):
that you get this salary and whatnot, but Ididn't know if, like, he's injured for like an
entire year if Tiger wants you sitting on thesidelines.
Because we've seen what happens when all of asudden a caddy goes and starts caddying for
somebody else.
Tiger's like, peace out.
See you.
Doesn't like it.
Yeah.
Void.
Yeah.
(53:03):
Do not pass go.
Even Joe LaCava, Tiger was like, peace out.
A-Town.
Down.
Depends on what they're paid like, what he'spaying them.
I mean, fuck.
If it's, like, you know, $5 a week or some shitlike that, then it's probably not so bad.
Let's see.
Did Lucas Herbert get into the field?
I'm looking.
I do not see him.
(53:26):
Except so Anti-LIV, don't you have a greatrelationship with Lucas Herbert's caddie, if
I'm not mistaken?
So and and Lucas Herbert just won on the on themini tour that is the
Asian Tour.
Lucas Herbert.
(53:46):
Oh, god.
Yeah.
So I think I think just like we heard.
No.
For real.
I don't know names.
When what's his face?
Talor Gooch.
When Talor Gooch said there would be anasterisk next to somebody's name if they won
the Masters or if Rory won the Masters thatyear that he wasn't in it because he wasn't in
(54:07):
it.
I think the same thing goes with the PGAChampionship.
I think, you know, with Lucas Herbert not inthis, that it is a damn shame, and I definitely
think that there should be an asterisk next tothe winner's name.
Show.
Agreed.
(54:28):
Idiot.
Buttsy, you're killing me.
Dude, that
Trot said Tiger met with Trump this week.
Alright.
Yep.
Love that for him.
That was a lot of people this week.
Dude, the the crazy craziness.
(54:49):
Supposedly, he's getting the deal done.
Another little breadcrumb of what did he say?
Really?
Yeah.
I sent it to you.
Zyre posted it.
You did.
What does he effect of he he promised that LIVwill not have a long-term future, and they will
negotiate to get the deal done, and it will beon the tour's terms.
(55:13):
Who said
They're gonna get the deal done.
It's gonna be
under me.
I'm gonna do it in one day.
He
did.
It's already done.
That's basically what he said.
He
said that's what he's gonna do.
Trump said that, so he met with the Saudiprince today, and that was on the agenda, to
let him know in addition to other agreementsthat have to do with the actual country, there
(55:34):
would be, like, a gentleman's agreement.
Like, alright.
And in addition to that, we're gonna get thisLIV thing done, and it's gonna be on the tour's
terms.
And if you really wanna do a $600 billion dealwith the United States, that's gonna be part of
it.
Did I not
how did I not see this?
Gosh.
I hate it when I miss stuff.
Pull it up.
I sent it to you.
It's got the
Yeah.
Let me You
(55:54):
should see the best is the comment section.
How many people are just Did you send it to me
on Instagram or on text?
On Instagram.
And Oh, okay.
People are just enraged.
Like, I'm still sick of hearing about this.
One more month that we're gonna get done.
Like, is this clickbait?
What is this?
Like, people don't even care anymore.
Yeah.
No.
People are just over it.
(56:14):
I mean, it's to the point to where it's like,it's not even worth it.
However, I will say this.
I did see on X that if you go in and find, like, somebody who is just so pro-LIV Golf,
who's like a LIV bot, so to speak, or a LIVcult lover, and you go and check out their,
(56:36):
like, reach right now, they are pumpingnumbers.
Absolutely pumping numbers.
Like and they're terrible tweets.
That's how you know that they just absolutelyIt's like, LIV Golf Korea was the best this
week.
70,000 people feeling that and, like, a hundredlikes.
It's like, that doesn't happen on Twitter.
(56:56):
I'm sorry.
So that's great AI paid bullshit.
And you know who it's coming from.
It's coming from the LIV Golf side.
So it's like, they're just pumping numbers.
And I don't think it's the actual accounts.
Like, I don't think that they're smart enoughto go in and try to do something like I
have a conspiracy about Donnie T being involvedwith this transaction.
(57:17):
Like, at least making them agree to it if itdoes happen.
I think what he's gonna get out of it is Ithink he's gonna get 200 beds back at his golf
courses.
Oh, 100%.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
He's definitely gonna play the political
He's like, we'll get it done, but you're goingto come back.
That's brilliant.
(57:39):
Dude, you sent it to my personal account, didn't you?
No.
I sent it to Paul.
Oh, you did?
Where the hell is this thing?
Why can I not find this?
Unless it didn't send, or I got a text or someshit right in the midst of it, but
Oh, here we go.
No.
You sent an attachment.
I got it.
It's the Buttsy card.
(58:00):
It's your Upper Deck card, dude.
You sent that to me.
That's the most.
And then the one before that, though, is theZire Golf.
So here we go.
So on Zire Golf or Nuclear Golf, posted by ZireGolf.
Oh, yeah.
I sent you that for that one because there's itthe back one of the cards says, Carlos Polit
Golf.
Yes.
I love that.
(58:20):
Dude, Golfweek is reporting that duringmeetings this week in Saudi Arabia, President
Donald Trump is expected to tell the Saudigovernment that a deal between the PGA Tour and
LIV will be on the tour's terms and will notinvolve a long-term future for LIV.
Tiger Woods reportedly went to the White Houselast week to help craft the messaging with
(58:41):
Trump.
And you saw that deal got done to wherebringing in $600 billion into America from
Saudi.
So if that deal got done, you know somethingelse was gonna get done as well.
Yeah.
I like how it just says he's just gonna go tellthem that.
(59:02):
It's not we're gonna try to work something out.
We're just gonna go ahead and let them knowthis is
Buttsy, do you have those cards for sale?
Maybe to the right person.
There's 10 of them in existence, five of eachone.
There's a couple of professional ballplayersthat reached out that had to have a couple of
(59:24):
versions of it, so I sent those to them.
And I sold one to a local fan, if you will.
So there's, like, five, six of them left, andobviously, I'm gonna keep two of them.
So, yeah, maybe for the right amount.
Alright, Buttsy.
I want you to come up with what will be theheadline if Trump and Tiger have teamed up to
(59:47):
take
What do you mean the headline?
The head, the newspaper headline.
Oh, Jesus Christ.
It'll be, like, some, like, fifties comic stripwith, like, a magic carpet burning and Donnie T
and, like, Tiger's his copilot in the back, andthen a fucking F-16 Eagle shooting it down.
(01:00:11):
And Phil will be like a big-headed fuckingcartoon down on the ground, like, watching it
blow up.
That's awesome.
So the headline would be
A like a yeah.
Just a picture of media Sharpie.
Photo.
Love it.
Fantastic.
(01:00:32):
Donnie T and fucking T Dub, take down LIV.
And out underneath it, like, it could be like a
The Don and the big cat.
Yeah.
Imagine those two sitting, like, tandem, like, fucking Maverick and Iceman.
What better circumstance for Tiger than belike, you know what?
I'm injured.
I'm not playing any golf.
You know what I'm gonna do?
(01:00:53):
I'm gonna go make myself another billiondollars, and all I gotta do is go up, give
Donald a call.
We're gonna go over to the Saudis.
We're gonna yeah.
We're just gonna get it done.
Or are they gonna show Tiger taking off hiscane leg and just beating Yasir in the face
with it?
I mean, where does, like, all of the changesfrom O'Neill and all of this stuff, like, all
(01:01:13):
of this organizational stuff just goes rightout the window, I guess, when Trump walks in
and goes, you know what?
Here's how it's gonna be, guys.
Fuck you.
Give us our money, and LIV is no more.
It's it's gone.
Fuck.
That's gonna
be so
fun.
It's a ballsy move.
I'll tell you that much if if that happens.
But I do wonder, what is gonna happen to thesepoor souls that are LIV cult fanatics that
(01:01:39):
just, like, they their entire lives have beenabout LIV golf because they weren't golf fans
before LIV.
Yeah.
And all of a sudden, they're just, like, allabout LIV golf.
I just I don't know what happens to them.
Mean, imagine goals.
Imagine if the XFL was around during theTwitter era.
Like, those people would have been devastated.
(01:02:00):
I mean, what's the Rocks called?
It's like the America the AFL or whatever it's
It's a UFL or
something.
UFL.
Extreme Football League where they played at54.
Yeah.
That's McMahon.
Yeah.
That was fantastic.
They actually there's a documentary about thatand how they took the NFL took, like, all of
their camera stuff because they were ahead oftheir time with having cameras on, like, cords
(01:02:22):
that yeah.
They took quite a few things from the XFL.
It was a pretty good documentary.
Vince McMahon.
Right?
Yeah.
Vince McMahon.
Yeah.
So I mean, some of those things I feel likeLIV, in a way, has helped with some of the
broadcast for the PGA Tour.
Like, I will say that they have taken somethings that LIV does well and started to
(01:02:44):
implement those.
If they had some like, half of the drone shotsand how they move around from player to player
and they show majority of the guys that are outthere.
Yeah.
Pretty, you know, like, pretty efficiently.
The only problem is that it's not showing afour-day tournament.
Like, it's been Yeah.
Half the guys, half the guys, you don't knowwho they are either.
(01:03:05):
I mean, that's the thing.
Right?
Every single tour player, the gripe is, well, yeah, I played.
I was fourth going to back nine on Sunday, andthey showed one shot.
Like, Wyndham, you know, had that story abouthim and Xander battling out at the Tour
Championship a couple years ago, and he had oneshot.
(01:03:25):
And it was like, okay.
So if they don't do it to him, they're not Imean, they don't they clearly don't care.
They're not really changing anything where thatstuff is concerned.
So I don't know.
I mean, does is the is the conspiracy that whenall of this goes down that everybody's gonna
get to come back and they're all gonna beplaying for I mean, we've been saying it for
how many years now?
(01:03:46):
I'm gonna tell you right now.
I haven't made a phone call about this in awhile.
Couldn't care what?
I stopped caring.
Yeah.
You
Do you make them go back to Q School?
Some of them.
Of them.
Yeah.
They gave them a membership.
Third stage.
Like
Yeah.
When that original deal was going down beforethe Players Championship, and then it all kinda
(01:04:07):
got the last minute Yasir came in and was like,I want LIV to, like, exist still as its own
entity, and the PGA Tour was like, no.
No.
Like, we've talked about this.
This is not happening, and Yasir just didn'twant to let it go.
At that time, there was a handful of playersthat the PGA Tour, I was being told, were going
(01:04:29):
to come back into the fold with the PGA Tour.
Yeah.
And that's where I think the PGA Tour onlywants a couple guys.
Like, they
don't they don't want some
of these legacy guys either.
Yeah.
Do you take a do you take a I mean I mean, obviously, Perez is dumb, but, like, what is
it?
A fucking Charles Steele?
(01:04:50):
Steele?
Brendan Steele?
Brendan Steele?
I mean, he's playing pretty good when he left.
I mean, he won.
He was top 50 player.
I mean, there there were several guys that weretop 50 players.
But the way the way the PGA Tour is going now,I mean, what are you gonna tell 95 to 100, take
a hike because we're gonna take five LIVplayers?
(01:05:10):
It's a joke.
They're gonna have to change everything.
Think everything will change.
It has to.
I mean, and hopefully, I mean, the whole ideawas that, yeah, you know, the PGA Tour
enterprises or whatever may, you know, get alot of money, and, you know, the top,
basically, 200 players in the world are playingon two tours, and everybody's making a lot of
(01:05:31):
money.
And then you have, you know, the top 40 playersor 30 players playing these big, huge purses
and not playing as many events.
But last time I checked, the PGA Tour schedulewas still 50-something events, and that's not
going away anytime soon.
So, I mean, we'll see.
No.
(01:05:52):
We wanna watch golf every weekend.
Like, sorry.
I mean, I could do without most of the golfplayed in November, but, you know, that's
whatever.
But the Hero World Challenge, I mean, that'sthe fifth major.
Right?
So
They all deserve to be in that.
Maybe they use that as a qualifier to get backon tour.
(01:06:14):
Maybe.
They probably have a separate thing.
I mean, there's
What better test of golfers that are out therethan to have them play that event.
Exactly.
I
I agree with whoever said that they should haveto go back to Q School.
If they gave up their membership, they're gonnahave to.
So I'll give you an example.
I got told by the tour that if I played in agrass league event, I could lose my membership
(01:06:38):
and have to go back to Q School.
Like, completely go through the whole processall over again just to get my membership back.
Brent, we should talk a little bit about thatwhere, you know, I don't know if the PGA Tour
before LIV was this strict about signing off onreleases and whatnot, because just about
everybody could play in events that of whateverthey wanted.
(01:07:00):
But I feel like LIV has actually done damage tothe fear factor for the PGA Tour that somebody
can come in and steal our players, and now it'sacross the board.
They actually care.
Yeah.
Brent was to go play in the GrasSroots League.
Yeah.
Which is It happens to
co happens to coincide with a bunch ofalternative stuff that's now out there too,
(01:07:23):
like, since February 2020 or whatever.
Didn't exist.
YouTube stuff.
There's so many, like, Good Good, Open, and allthis other stuff that, like, is being televised
on a Mhmm.
On a very professional level.
Yeah.
That just that's like where we're at now.
I'm like, that didn't exist five
years.
You're absolutely right.
I mean, the big thing was and I and I talked tothem for about a half hour, and it was it
wasn't like we were arguing.
(01:07:43):
I just wanted to understand what it was.
And the bottom line is flat out, we own your weown your media rights.
If they're gonna if they're gonna market it, ifthey're gonna film it, if they're gonna put it
out there, we can't have you play.
And so You're
part of our product.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And, you know, they use the term, well, it'sgonna dilute our product, and I don't see it.
(01:08:06):
It does in a way, but the thing is it's likeit'd be a little different if you're playing
regularly.
But if the LIV didn't come along, and it's ahypothetical, it doesn't really make a
difference.
But if it didn't come along, I think the PGATour would be more inclined to partner with
some of these organizations to build up a baseto which you could pretty much watch whoever,
(01:08:34):
whenever.
But the thing is, I mean, LIV did it the waythey did it to the point where I can't even
play in a two-man scramble.
Try it is why this show hasn't grown as much as
it's fault.
Yeah.
It's absolutely my fault.
A hundred percent.
Yeah.
It's yeah.
A hundred percent.
Yeah.
I what's it what's amazing is it's like letthem go and exactly.
(01:08:58):
So I'll give you an example.
So my whole season on the PGA Tour, everysingle time, every time a commercial for the
Korn Ferry Tour came up, it was my face and myfist bump was the last thing you saw the whole
season.
And I was just curious.
I was like, so where's my, you know, do I get alittle piece?
(01:09:18):
And the answer is no.
Give them a
little piece.
Give them a but the thing is, I mean, is thereeven there's not a pathway back.
There's not a way where they're gonna go backon it and say, yeah, you know, we're gonna try
to market these guys more to try to make themmore money or anything like that.
Bottom line is unless you're playing well, theydon't care about you.
But if you wanna go make money outside of thegolf, you're SOL.
(01:09:43):
I wanna go back to this really quick.
Anti-Liv asked, what happens to Bryson'sYouTube channel?
So you guys do realize that they ended upfinding out, like, the players, because they
all thought, oh, we own our rights now by goingover to Liv Golf.
Absolutely not.
In those contracts, all the players' rightswere completely taken away once again.
Like, Liv owns all the media rights, and guesswho was the bearer of this bad news was Mister
(01:10:05):
O'Neill himself when he came into the fold.
He's like, no.
We we own your media rights.
And sure enough, Bryson did have a meeting atthe beginning of the year.
So my Liv source that actually works inside ofLiv Golf did tell me that Bryson did reach an
agreement with them.
I do not have the details around it.
Right.
Probably share.
(01:10:26):
Bryson was able to show well, part of this wasand how it was framed to me is that Bryson was
very smart about it, used all of his money, andyou can trace it back to none of the money that
Liv gave him.
So technically, I guess there was and you couldbe right.
It could be a profit share where Bryson's like, okay.
(01:10:46):
I'll give you 10%.
Like it has
be.
You're wearing Liv gear.
Know they are.
You're actively promoting the league.
I mean
Yeah.
I hear they own a pretty significant portion ofit.
But that
Probably.
I mean, probably.
That's also the part where, and that's why Ilaugh at some of Bryson's stuff when he does
those press conferences, where everybody waslike, oh my god, Bryson is never leaving LIV
(01:11:09):
Golf.
He's so invested, blah blah blah, after thehuge ordeal over him not getting his extension
and talking to the PGA Tour about coming back, like, all of that transpiring, and then all of
a sudden people were losing their minds saying,oh, listen to his press conference.
(01:11:32):
Like, he's at a LIV event.
He didn't say anything.
Like, there was no substance there.
There
wasn't
any whatsoever.
It was just basically, like, I'm with LIV.
I'm here right now, and I'm under contract.
It's like, okay.
They can't say this is this is one of theamazing things.
It's like, do you look at how the PGA Tourplayers are?
(01:11:56):
When it comes to how the tour operates, the topplayers don't say anything negative.
It's the same thing at the LIV tour.
Like, there's no difference.
The moment they own your media rights, themoment they own a piece of your action, you
have to follow lockstep.
Otherwise, they're just gonna send you back.
How about Kyle over at Car Barn and Guysjoining us tonight for the first time?
(01:12:16):
Tiger's going to be president.
2028, baby.
Come on.
Oh, man.
Love that.
It's not a bad—I mean, not a bad profit there.
It would go well with you're either a warmongeror a ladies' man.
I mean, so I
(01:12:36):
I think that's it for being political.
Let's— you guys wanna get into the picks andthen call it a night?
Let's start off with you, Buttsy.
Who do you like for the PGA Championship thisweek?
I don't think Bryson's gonna do it.
It's gonna be him or, like I said, somebodythat's, like, plus 17,000.
So pick anybody there.
(01:12:59):
At plus 17,000.
Somebody in that group is just gonna come outof nowhere, or it's gonna be really close to
one of them with it, and then they're justgonna mess up on, like, sixteen on Sunday.
So that's what I
got.
Interesting.
Who you got, Brent?
I like I said, I wanna see Scott get it done.
(01:13:20):
I wanna see Scottie.
Scottie.
But I would not be surprised if, like, a JustinRose, somebody in their early forties kinda
comes around late thirties, early forties thatcomes around and gives it a nice little college
try.
So just to keep on the trend from the end oflast year
(01:13:42):
Rory McIlroy.
Rory McIlroy is my pick this week.
However, I do like Xander Schauffele.
I like Justin Thomas in this.
And I'll even go out on a limb here.
And I was kinda talking myself into Max Homa alittle bit, but no.
I like Jordan Spieth this week too.
Intro He said he wants to have his name mightput his name in
(01:14:04):
the hat.
He said he saw Rory get his Grand Slam, and itkinda rejuvenated him a little bit.
He wants the PGA more than anything.
Yeah.
That's that's gonna be a problem.
You think so?
That place
that place is tough.
That yields you gotta be so on it with everypiece of your game, and I don't see his tee
(01:14:28):
game very well
At that point.
His tee game has gotten better, though, inrecent weeks.
Like, that's the part that and the iron play tome, he's starting to get back to that elite
level.
Yeah.
I mean, he's always been when he was doing whathe was doing, his tee game was not the best.
What's he doing alright, though?
(01:14:48):
He's struggling, dude.
He's struggling, dude.
That fake Mountain Dew.
And, like, hitting it like the Olympics justlike I'm
gonna have one.
God.
Just a just
a tough time.
Don't pay no attention to me.
Turn my camera off or whatever.
And it was diet too.
Yeah.
Which is like fake sugar, little fentanyl in itmaybe.
(01:15:11):
Is he eating some Cheetos or whatever he'seating?
Yeah.
He's busting fat right now, man.
Oh, god.
But, yeah, we'll see.
I mean, it's it's a bomber's course.
I'd love to see I I would absolutely love tosee, you know, the pardon me.
There you go.
(01:15:32):
He may never lose a major again or come on,Kyle.
Give us give us some more.
Tom Hoge.
Who?
Tom Hoge?
Tom Hoge, an old Quintero member when Quinterowas private out here in Arizona.
I just drove by that.
Played it, folks.
It is definitely a top 100 golf course in theworld.
(01:15:54):
I just drove by that place too.
What the hell is going on by you?
Plane crash in your backyard?
No idea.
It's 8:30.
That guy is zooming on whatever he's neverlosing a tournament again.
So after this week, you mean?
Ever.
Okay.
Ever again.
He may be trolling just a bit there.
The only one that I see him like, that doesn'tapply to is definitely, like, the Hero World
(01:16:17):
Challenge.
That's the only place that doesn't fit Rory'sgame.
It's just two things.
That's the only place.
That's correct.
Yes.
Love how when Kyle finally starts chirping,Buttsy heads straight to the Hero World
Challenge.
Oh, God.
Well, boys, it was hella mine.
(01:17:15):
Peace out everybody.
Eight Town down.
It's ending.
