(00:11):
Welcome back, everybody, to Pull Hook Golf, thepodcast.
I'm your host, Matt Cook.
Over here, we got Brent Grant.
And over here, we got Buttsy, both coming inremotely from their home locations.
We're here.
It is a holiday show this week because guesswhat?
By the time this podcast comes out, it is goingto be Thanksgiving.
You're going to be listening to this instead ofhaving to deal with your parents, relatives,
(00:35):
whoever it is, small children, who knows?
But folks, we've got one hell of a show.
We've got the Tee Off Report with Buttsy.
That's where we're going to get startedtonight.
Then we've got the pro golf recap.
We actually have some professional golf torecap and a little bit of excitement over that
because it was the end of the PGA Tour season.
We've got the Swanee Style segment, a fanfavorite there.
(00:57):
And then we've got a preview of the TGL, thatnew indoor golf league.
And I gotta tell you guys, before we even getto that segment, I'm getting a little bit
excited about it.
As I'm starting to really kind of digest allthe information that is out there, I have a
feeling this is actually gonna be quite good.
Now, before we do get into those segments,we've got a quick little shoutout to our
(01:25):
sponsor, Swannies Golf.
And Swannies Golf, folks, I know right now yougotta get over there because it is a Black
Friday sale.
I don't care if it supports Pull Hook Golf ornot because you get 30% off right now as their
Black Friday sale.
Let me see if I can pull this up here foreverybody, because I do want to take you
(01:46):
through really quick and just show you what wegot going on here.
Little Black Friday sale.
Whoa.
30%.
And then we got the Black Swan drop.
I reached out to my people over at Swannies, and I was like, hey, I need the entire
collection.
So right now I'm going to show you what I amrocking at the moment.
We've got the hats back here, by the way, rightover here, we got the hats.
(02:10):
But if we scroll down,
I want one of all of those delivered liketomorrow,
right?
That Garrett fleece, my wife had it.
thing.
Yeah.
So I ended up getting that in.
I'll show you guys that, on a But they
don't make your size.
Sorry.
It's like corduroy.
It's like a corduroy material, but it's like athin corduroy.
It's really, really nice.
(02:31):
But I'm wearing this one here.
That was messed up, Brent.
That was really, really messed up.
Poor guy.
This is the Hugo hoodie.
I'm just gonna keep rolling.
The Hugo hoodie here, folks, by Swannies Golf.
(02:51):
That's what I'm rocking tonight.
One
of my favorites is the Garrett fleece.
My wife, as soon as I got it, she's like, that's mine.
And I'm like, honey, I have to wear thisbecause Swannies sent it out to me.
She goes, then buy me my own.
So guess what?
Guess what I had to do?
I had to reach out
to Swannies, and
I had to buy
I had to buy another one.
(03:12):
So she got it in
her size.
Bitch.
Yep.
Did you guys see the Dormie Black Swan headcover too?
I kinda I thought that was, like, somethingfor, like, a small child.
I was getting excited for a small child.
I was getting excited for a small child.
I must've done that.
I was really see
the chat.
Excited about that.
However, I don't see the chat either.
I don't
going on here.
(03:33):
I'm in the comments, but there's no comment.
You know, we've had a couple technicaldifficulties with our streaming platform
lately.
I think it's because of.
He's just so just, just a stud over there.
Look at him.
Rocking the the guy.
Hat.
It could be a
j lick your size.
(03:54):
They don't got it for you.
Really messed up.
That that really was.
So that's that's Swannies go.
Why would they sell you for the same price?
It's like seven people getting a deal.
Poor Buttsy.
Just got absolutely railroaded by
a good
old brand.
(04:14):
Yeah.
I miss having you guys in studio.
Last week, we had the, the special that cameout with Brent and Ryan French.
or Ryan Grant.
Ryan French.
Ryan.
Really, really well.
Everybody get informed enough?
Tell you what, we had over 50,000 listeners forthat episode.
So, did quite well.
(04:34):
Thank you, everybody.
Ryan
French.
Now that being said, let's start off with thetee off report.
Okay?
And we've got an interesting topic here on thetee off report with Buttsy.
First of all, Buttsy, what is your biggest petpeeve when it comes to watching professional
golf?
(04:57):
Oh, man.
Aside from just about 100% of watching all ofit, Well, I like the LIV product.
So and and that maybe they're a littleoverboard.
But, in terms of PGA Tour, there I I don't getto see anybody that's struggling.
(05:17):
Like, I don't get to see a guy that, you know,he he finally hit a good shot, and he he might
be making a move.
And the pressure's up his ass to do somethingthis week, or else, like, he's fallen out of
whatever.
You know what I mean?
Like, I wanna see more people that are shiningin the moment that it really matters to them
(05:37):
outside of winning the golf tournament.
Interesting.
Yeah.
I wanna see, like, a bottom feeder.
Like, a guy that's barely getting by or a guythat's a no-name.
Like, and he broke onto the PGA Tour this year.
He Monday qualified or blah blah blah.
Somebody that's a nobody, and he hit a goodgolf shot.
Show me his fucking golf shot.
Show me some of
the good shots that guy's hit
(05:57):
that I've never ever heard of or seen.
Give him a little limelight.
Help this guy out.
I've said this before, like, a year ago that Iwant the PGA Tour to give us a Friday afternoon
show where we can just watch the guys that areat the bottom of the leaderboard.
And some people were like,
well specifically.
Do a cut, but I wanna see the guys that arejust absolutely struggling out there because
(06:24):
online.
Right?
Yeah.
Because otherwise, all you're seeing are thebest shots.
Right?
When you're not watching a featured pairing, you're usually just seeing the best shots of
the day from people that are out there.
You're not really seeing the real struggles onthe PGA Tour from some of these guys that are
like hacking it up out there.
Correct.
And to answer your question even further, yeah, like, tell me a little bit of a backstory.
(06:47):
Who the fuck is this guy?
You already know nobody's ever heard of him.
This is, like, the fourth event he's everplayed in in his life.
He's probably nervous as shit.
Like, let's see how he's handling this.
How's he playing?
You know?
Like, he's never say that too.
Say that.
This is not a PGA Tour member.
This is the second time he's ever played in atour event.
(07:09):
And here he is on 12 from 172 yards.
He's been struggling all day.
Let's see what he does.
I would fucking love that.
So that's my pet peeve.
I'd like to
see more action.
You just gave me a great idea too for adifferent segment.
No.
If you followed all the Monday qualifiers.
Now granted in 2026, this is gonna go by thewayside.
(07:30):
Sure.
But think about it.
If you had, like, a channel to where you got towatch all the guys that Monday qualified, and
that's the only people that you followed forthe first two days on the broadcast.
I think that would be pretty damn interestingto see how those guys deal with some of the
pressure.
And guess what?
You're going to get some storylines out of it.
(07:51):
You're going to be able to talk about thoseguys.
You're going to be like, yeah.
Frankie was over in Las Vegas gambling his lastfew bucks before he got into this Monday
qualifier.
If he makes a cut, his life is gonna changeeven with just a $1,000 paycheck.
Big time.
Like and give me even deeper.
Like, interview the wife.
(08:11):
We have been struggling.
We've been putting off bills.
We had to sell both of our cars, and we stillowe $20,000 on each one of them.
Like, whatever it is, tell me the story.
Give me a little more humanity out there.
Yeah.
And I think that's something that people havealways appreciated, the way the PGA Tour was
(08:32):
something that you could earn your way onto, make it on a week-to-week basis, you know, work
your way in via the Monday qualifiers.
And that's one of the devastating things that, you know, Ryan French, poor guy, is dealing
with, as his entire business is around Mondayqualifiers with Monday Q Info.
So, obviously pretty devastating as to what'sgoing on there.
(08:53):
But the second part to this, and in the spiritof Thanksgiving, Buttsy, which is in two days
from this live recording, the podcast is gonnabe coming out on Thanksgiving morning.
What do you think is the most overrated foodfor a Thanksgiving dinner?
The fucking turkey.
Wow.
(09:13):
The turkey?
Wow.
Nobody likes the fucking, like, you can watchall these, like granted, there are some guys
that make some juicy ass turkey, but you canonly do so much with this big fat,
steroided-out bird that everybody's buying thesame thing billions of across the country.
First off, think about how many dead—it's abird holocaust.
(09:37):
It is a bird holocaust.
It is.
There's billions of fucking birds dying everyyear.
So people go, alright.
It's time for you to cut it open.
And then all the sides are great.
Everybody loves the deviled eggs.
And then, like, if you watch everybody, Iguarantee it around your Thanksgiving table
this year, the last fucking piece of the mealthey're gonna eat, and they're gonna douse it
with gravy to make it tolerable, is that dry, shitty, sleep-inducing piece of fucking bird
(10:03):
tit
meat.
Preach.
Damn.
Damn.
Preach.
I mean, you're not far off.
Because prime rib.
Make make
That's exactly what I'm doing, baby.
Come on.
Let's go.
What are
we I gotta roll up my sleeves here.
My goodness.
Where does going
after the bird.
Did Columbus shoot a bird out of a tree?
(10:24):
Like and they're like, we're gonna eat thesebirds for motherfucking forever now.
That's actually exactly how
that works.
Ever now.
It it this is our day, and we're gonna murderthese big fat steroid and birds and we're gonna
and
say thank you.
(10:45):
But there's a way
I think the turkey and I don't think I standalone.
It's the worst
part of the deal.
I mean, Brent clearly agrees with you on that.
I like the dark meat, but I'm not a fan of thelight white, like, turkey breast meat.
I'm I'm a fan of the dark meat.
You heard him.
You heard me.
He said he absolutely said it.
(11:09):
Love it.
Throw some gravy on that thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
It's yeah.
Now what's your what's
what's your favorite?
Fridge.
What's your favorite meal at Thanksgivingthere, buddy?
What's your favorite food?
I'm gonna need a moment here.
Oh, I'm sorry.
(11:30):
Did you just hear him say fast twitch?
I did.
Oh my God.
Yes.
I I fucking I don't know how I I don't know howI kept it
together and kept, like, kept moving forward inthe show,
but I tap out.
I think
I went numb there for
(11:50):
a second in order to get through that part.
I think I'm getting good to where, like, if Iwas on Saturday Night Live, I would not laugh
at some of the funniest shit that was
coming out.
Chance.
But, man, that
was too funny.
That was unbelievable.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah.
So back to
What's your favorite food, Buttsy?
The whole point of this
(12:10):
What fuck?
Well, now
that wasn't the question.
The question was, what is the most overrated, and it is absolutely, the average American is
not very good at cooking in general.
And that dry piece of Chevy cheese, a fuckingturkey coming out, that is the least exciting
part of the whole deals.
I think that both is exciting.
(12:31):
Yeah.
So the sides.
Right?
And especially with large
You gotta choose one.
Hang on.
So, these families get together, and there's,like, this innate responsibility that everybody
feels like, well, there's gonna be a lot ofpeople there.
And I'm being like, I gotta bring this side, and hopefully, they like it.
And then everybody you could tell, like, somebody's completely devastated because their
(12:54):
side hasn't been touched all day.
Somebody fucking got one scoop of it, andnobody's touched it since because they told
somebody else.
And then now we know that whoever brought thatfucking sucks.
And they suck.
And now they're hurt, and they're probablyhaving a bad time.
They're probably getting a crying drunk fightwith somebody about two hours into the deal.
That happens at every family.
I'm almost positive.
Can't just be mine.
(13:15):
Anyways, I'm gonna go with the deviled egg.
And if you do a good deviled egg
love a good deviled egg.
I'm gonna murder.
I'm gonna eat so much more than I'm supposed toeat.
I'm gonna piss people off because somebody'sgonna
be looking across the room.
They're gonna see, like, 10 of those left, andthey're gonna turn and have a conversation.
And now there's 2 left, and where the fuck didthose go?
(13:38):
And I'm sitting over in the corner with mylittle plate of deviled eggs because I fucking
hate the turkey, and I'm hiding it.
You know?
Doing little snack bites.
Got all crumbs of egg all in your beard.
That's my favorite part, the deviled eggs.
(13:58):
I'll eat deviled eggs with my feet.
Like, I don't care.
I love them.
So, anyways, moving along.
My god.
Brent, I'm gonna forward that question over toyou.
Obviously, you feel like turkey is the mostoverrated, but I am curious to hear your side
of it in terms of what is your favorite part ofThanksgiving as far as food?
Food.
Food.
(14:19):
Nothing at all
being don't eat steak.
Yeah.
It doesn't look like you eat much.
Raw steak.
You know?
Raw steak.
Yes.
Definitely raw steak.
You do eat raw steak.
Pretty poor guy.
Up until about 2 weeks ago, this poor BrentGrant had
no idea how to grill a steak.
But he had to give him a step-by-step video.
(14:43):
I did.
I did produce.
I just do videos.
It was being worn after.
I was able to produce a
video for the young man to keep him fromeating,
step 2
dangerously raw steak.
Let's see.
(15:07):
My most my most favorite dude.
My most favorite thing about Thanksgiving arethe desserts.
Okay.
Which dessert is your favorite?
So I've got, my mom makes this thing called anold-fashioned cream pie.
Or for anybody from the Northeast, they wouldknow what
whipped cream inside of a pie crust.
(15:28):
What does
she make?
Can you say that again?
Or if you're from the Northeast anywhere nearOhio, she makes buckeyes, which are
chocolate-covered peanut butter snacks.
Wait.
Did you hang on.
Let's go back a second.
You did say that your mother makes anold-fashioned cream pie.
I was waiting for you guys to notice that.
(15:50):
Yeah.
Look that one up on Google, everybody.
Wait.
I think we've lost Buttsy.
He just had a heart attack.
And this is what you get folks when I am offthe wagon.
Here we go.
Hallelujah.
(16:11):
Okay.
So, Brent, we just got your what's
yours, Matty?
Brent loves a good old-fashioned cream pie from
my mom.
She has the best old-fashioned cream pie.
Didn't really expect that one to be talkedabout this evening, but to each their own.
Like you know, you had a hell of a take,Buttsy, that the deviled egg is underrated at
(16:34):
Thanksgiving.
That thing is absolutely money.
I would have to say though, that I am astuffing guy.
I love
stuff.
Uh-oh.
There you go.
We are really Yeah.
We're all over the place.
So
put it in line.
Alright.
That being said
(16:56):
What kind of stuffing?
Yeah.
Well, outside of the bird, inside of the bird.
You know?
Okay.
Listen.
I love
Yeah.
Pro golfing.
There was a video just to just for base.
Did you
see this?
There was a video that was released that saysif you buy those Butterball turkeys, that
there's a good chance that, like, there's,like, a bunch of employees that got caught for
(17:19):
sexually accosting those birds on the prepline.
K.
Not to
be dark.
Before.
That is a tough, tough look.
Yeah.
Stepping before stopping?
Interesting.
Got caught wiener in the turkeys.
Hate to see it.
Wow.
This is a golf podcast, right?
(17:40):
Zero (1h 45
ms 45s) (17:41):
Golf podcast.
Let's get into the pro
golf
recap.
Yeah.
I mean, Thanksgiving is here.
You know, it's a holiday week.
Just gotta love what we're doing with the progolf stuff, but pro golf recap.
We had the RSM Classic.
It was the end of the PGA Tour season.
There was some drama out there.
We'll go over it quickly here for you folks.
(18:02):
We don't want to bore you too much with thegolf stuff.
Maverick McNealy shoots 16 under, and that washis 142nd start before his breakthrough
victory.
Now there's I didn't realize how many hatersMaverick McNealy has.
(18:23):
Why?
Were you guys aware of this?
Is it because he's like
His dad's like a billionaire?
Yeah.
Do we know enough about him to hate him?
If people hate him, they don't know him at all.
Exactly.
I know him and his dad.
Well, they're awesome.
They're grabbing
for insane collector card of him too.
(18:43):
It's like a clear plat.
It's cool.
So hopefully Yeah.
People were hating on him because, oh, you canjust hang on the PGA Tour because your dad's
rich.
Like he was getting a lot of like hate onTwitter and so forth.
But I, I personally, I like Mav's game
a
(19:03):
140 seconds start.
I mean, he finally gets to break through.
The one question that I do have outside of,obviously, we wanted to talk a little bit about
him as a person because he's a great dude.
Also a licensed pilot.
He can fly his own plane around.
Now that could be grounds for hatred.
Like, he's
just so fucking
cool that
Arnold Palmer had his own plane and drove him.
(19:25):
That's probably a part of the reason then, youknow, he has his license.
He's following.
It's just a big old pedigree hating fuckingmafia.
Oh, yeah.
That the hate the hate of the rich.
Right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, he, oh, he flies too.
I'm sure he does.
Yeah.
That must be nice.
That's my favorite thing.
Let's be nice.
Now we'll get this off track.
Don't now.
Alright.
Could this be the worst timing though to haveyour breakthrough win the last tournament of
(19:50):
the season, and all of a sudden you don't havea tournament to
I am gonna go out on a limb and say, if I wason the PGA Tour, you can go and kill yourself
if you think there's ever a bad time to win outthere.
Brent?
It may not be as good as other as other wins.
It could be, you know, downgraded versus otherwins, but it is a win, and I'm sure anybody out
(20:15):
there is struggling.
Brent, would you trade would you be okaywinning the last event?
Yeah.
I mean, if I won my last RSM, I wouldn't Iprobably wouldn't be sitting here.
So
You'd be sitting here.
What do you mean, dude?
Are we that?
Are we that?
No.
Because we would be we would all be offsomewhere together doing this.
(20:35):
Good save.
Good save.
Wow.
What a save from the land.
Come on.
It does kinda have to suck, though, right?
I mean, if you could choose where you win yourfirst PGA Tour event, you would probably wanna
win it in the beginning to the middle of theseason.
Yes.
Yeah.
I mean, obviously, you know, you start talkingabout the majors, right?
(20:56):
You win right before the Masters.
Generally, that means you get into the Masters.
You win right before the Open, you get into theOpen.
The U.S.
Open is sort of a different version of that.
I don't think you can get in just by winningright before it, but I think you can just world
rankings.
But, anyways, it doesn't matter.
Yeah.
I mean, the RSM is a great tournament.
(21:17):
Ludwig Aberg won it last year and, you know, obviously capped off a great year for him,
Maverick McNealy.
I mean, that's, like, two or three years in theinjured reserve list, and he's off it, and his
life has changed forever no matter how muchmoney his daddy has or what plane he flies or
(21:37):
anything like that.
It just doesn't get any better than winning aPGA tournament for sure.
Anytime, anywhere.
Comments show up on StreamYard.
This is an example.
Click on a comment to show it on the screen.
Do we need to go on to YouTube?
I still can't believe
people are people.
Not from X.
Can somebody get on the YouTube?
(21:57):
Hold on.
Do I need to get on the YouTube and find out?
Get on the YouTube real quick.
Just make sure it doesn't, turn off yourspeakers while you do it.
See if there's comments over there.
Very strange.
I'll make you on the Pull Hook Golf podcast.
He's on the pull hook.
You come out, you got me boat, deep in the air.
But let's keep it moving with this.
(22:18):
Now
I'm listening.
I would say that you would probably want to, Iwould actually go on a limb and say you want it
middle of the season in order to pick up thatfirst victory.
That way you can keep it rolling.
Yeah.
You guys, it only lasts.
Yeah.
It only lasts, like, a couple months, right, tobe in form and so forth.
Like, you lose that after a period of time.
Oh, you're talking about
(22:39):
peaking, like, and now it stops to peak at theend.
Yeah.
Now he doesn't have a couple or now he doesn'thave a tournament until, gosh, January?
Yeah.
But it comes around fast.
Right?
I mean, we're already at the end of already atthe end of November.
And, I mean, for a guy like Mav, he's probablyplaying in at least one or two more events that
(22:59):
are of significant value.
So, I mean, let's see.
He's probably gonna play in the Grant Thornton.
He probably plays in the Father/Son.
And then he's
not going to?
I don't think he's in the Grant Thornton, ishe?
Oh, I just assume I just assume those all thoseguys get in that way.
But then not to mention he's got the Hero WorldChallenge this week too.
(23:23):
So it's probably on down.
No.
It's next week.
It's next week.
Which is next week.
There you go.
Brent, you played out there.
You don't know these dates.
The Hero World Challenge is subject to a veryfew amount of people.
And Tiger's not playing this year.
And therefore not relevant at all.
I really what's funny is even though we've beenkinda big on Maverick McNealy heading into this
(23:47):
first victory, because we've talked about himin quite a few of the previous weeks.
Yeah.
And I feel like I've picked him to win atournament.
You guys have picked him in subsequent events.
And he finally gets it done.
But second place was kind of interestingbecause Luke Clanton from good old Florida
(24:07):
State.
I don't know if he's doing
this the easiest of ways to get his PGA Tourcard because he's still an amateur.
And I was kinda wondering why hasn't he turnedpro?
Or at least that's the topic we're gonna talkabout.
Brent, why don't you tackle this one for us?
There has to be a strategy there.
Yeah.
I mean, for any of these elite amateur guys, obviously, they're getting money now on the
(24:31):
side.
So there's not really there's not really a
What are they doing to get the money on theside?
Well, NIL.
Right?
So the NCAA has turned to an outsiderorganization to basically fund all of these
student-athletes and their lives and and allother.
So that's why the the Deion Sanders boy
How much are we talking there?
In some cases, it's millions of dollarsdepending on who you are.
(24:53):
God.
Millions of dollars.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, I'll give you an example.
Confirm that?
Yeah.
It's you can confirm it all you want.
Go where's our guy?
Where's our guy?
I know what you're saying, but that's
Where's Todd?
Be fucking ridiculous.
Yeah.
So it is.
And and this is something that anybody that'splayed college golf would would balk at.
(25:14):
Right?
And we all have, especially any of us that haveplayed in the last 10 years.
Right?
But for a guy like Flint, obviously, he'splayed really, really well.
Last this year, he won the U.S.
Amateur.
He's the number one amateur in the world.
He's the number one college player in theworld.
There's no reason why he shouldn't turn proexcept for the fact that he can finish out this
(25:39):
next year, collect that much more accolade, collect that much more money, and then turn pro
with full status.
If he turns pro now, he would be acceptingseven—I think it's a maximum of
seven—sponsorships.
Okay.
Sponsor exemptions.
And if he doesn't play well in those sevenevents, not that he wouldn't, but if, let's
(26:00):
say, he just absolutely screwed the pooch andmissed all seven cuts, he would have to wait
till next year to do anything.
But because he is where he's at in PGA TourUniversity, he's almost guaranteed status on
the PGA Tour following the NCAA championship.
Well, it makes more sense.
(26:21):
Here's the thing.
Gonna have—he's gonna have more opportunity tochill.
Chill.
Correct.
He is not on the rankings for the PGA TourUniversity, but there is such a thing as the
PGA Tour University Accelerated, which is whatGordon Sargent locked up his card.
It is for the accelerated kids.
The ones that are better than most, that are alittle bit, you know, stronger than most.
(26:45):
It's not what we called it at my high schoolwithout...
They might ride the same bus, but they areaccelerated.
They got a few more exemptions than everybodyelse.
They do.
And he's got seven.
So there's a 20-point system.
Okay.
Just so that everybody is aware.
Basically, if you play in a PGA tour event andyou get all 20 points, essentially you have a
(27:11):
full PGA tour card through this PGA touruniversity, accelerated program.
And that's the route that he's taking.
I just wonder, like, is this the approach thathe should be taking?
I mean, obviously, he's getting close.
I would try to continue to play collegiate golfand, try to get it that way through the PGA
(27:35):
tour.
Done?
Like, is
he a senior?
He's going to be a senior.
But what's crazy is, like, I don't think he'sbeen playing in a whole lot of Florida State
events.
Now I don't cover college golf that closely, but I think that's why he's not on the PGA tour
university rankings.
He's been mainly playing in PGA tour events.
I mean, shit.
He's had 8 starts on the PGA tour this year.
(27:57):
He made 7 cuts.
He had top, 4 top tens.
He had 3 top fives and he had 2 second placerunner-up finishes.
So doing in college events?
That's the thing.
I'd like He's not in college events,
but he's making tour cuts.
I haven't seen him playing in college events.
Have you, Brad?
I mean, you're the one that's
(28:19):
I wish I golf channel.
Yeah.
So much.
That would be the most fucking fucking reversedbullshit thing.
Like, he's making tour cuts, but he they're notstarting him.
Yeah.
In college.
He's actually the 7th player on the squad.
Yeah.
Wouldn't that be hilarious?
I mean, let's look it up since we got since wegot the time.
What's the kid's name again?
(28:40):
Luke?
Luke Clanton,
c l a
n t o l l
Florida State.
Career.
FSU?
But what's crazy, bud?
Jesus, here's the thing.
He's won three times.
This year?
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
So he's a dominant force.
Yeah.
So I think what happened is
(29:00):
why is he on the PGA Tour University rankings?
He's because he's already surpassed it.
Right?
So so he's, you know, good to go.
Right?
So, he's already that was beautiful.
That was beautiful.
Oh, shit.
That was awesome.
(29:21):
Great hand movement, bro.
What are you?
Fucking river dad, bro?
What's going on over there?
He's already his friend.
Your pastor
is the theatrics aren't at all.
Jesus.
Bray.
Bray isn't even drinking tonight.
Might involve him.
Yeah.
Oh.
Jeez.
Poor guy's trying to make it through
(29:41):
Yeah.
We'll
just stay here
fucking with him.
So long story short, I think, much like GordonSargent is not on the PGA Tour University
rankings, he is not along with, I think, threeor four other people.
So well, Gordon's already gotten the 20 pointsthrough the accelerated program.
But he's already exempt, and he deferred it sothat he could finish out his college career.
(30:06):
So they paid him obviously to do that.
So there's no
Why would you do that?
Yeah.
Because they can win a national championship.
But but they're they're paying for the loss ofwork here that you could have started doing so
that you're okay.
So
But remember
they're offsetting that deficit?
So no.
Yeah.
So so it's if you could think of it this way,he's already getting paid by NIL, just being
(30:30):
Gordon Sargent.
And then the universe and then the universitycan pay him, right, to stay yeah.
Absolutely.
There's nothing preventing anybody from gettingmoney anymore.
Well, they could say, hey.
Here's a quarter million dollars.
Don't turn pro yet.
Get us to a college championship.
We want the trophy and then do whatever.
Yeah.
(30:50):
Okay.
So I mean that?
Yeah.
And so for him, right?
So he's gonna have full status no matter what.
As soon as he decides to click that box, right,or check that box, excuse me, he's gonna turn
pro.
There you go.
There you go.
Speaking with your hands, you know.
(31:12):
That's what you're
doing.
You're, like, talk you you could literally do apodcast for deaf people.
Holy shit.
That's hilarious.
Oh, fuck.
K.
So he gets paid to stay, gets to go, you know, finish up his career at Vanderbilt, Nashville,
(31:43):
Tennessee, have a blast, go win a nationalchampionship, something like that, and not have
any expenses of his own or anything like that.
And then
He's in a great spot.
Yeah.
Why not?
I mean, what does, I mean, what does turningpro mean to somebody that already makes six,
seven figures?
Yeah.
I know you're not.
(32:03):
Of it this way.
I've never thought of it this way.
Right?
Kids turn pro so that they can actually makemoney.
Right?
If it doesn't matter.
If you have the choice and you're making amillion and you get to stay in college and
party and just be around all your friends andeverything, why wouldn't you stay in college?
(32:25):
Yeah.
There's no guarantee I'm even gonna sniff thatmy first six months on tour.
Oh, here it is.
Whoa.
Hold on.
But he just gave so hard to the screen.
I saw the comment.
You're like,
oh, this fucking thing is sitting four feetaway from me, boys.
(32:45):
Like, you guys look like blurry idiots.
Oh my god.
Definitely idiots.
I'm a lot blurry.
Wanna read that?
It looks like Kyle Googled, like, he somethingout of the book, The Art of War, and posted a
comment from an audience
member, Kyle, over
at Car Barn Guys.
He says success in the game depends less onstrength of
body than strength of mind and character.
(33:11):
No.
Fuck yourself.
Dude, what a philosopher.
Fucking Kyle.
Yeah.
It's unbelievable.
He is.
And that's part of his new book.
It'll be coming out soon.
We were talking about it.
What a first comment.
I think that might be the greatest firstcomment on this show of all time.
Where is Trot?
Is Trot so put off by the fact that he wastalking to himself on a prerecorded show last
(33:35):
week that he's out this week.
He might be.
He might be.
He might be thrown in jail for protestingBernard Langer.
Protesting?
Right here.
Let's see the comments.
Trot, we apologize for last week.
We thought by saying that it was a special, that, that was prerecorded.
(34:00):
But, yeah, that, that was not a live one eventhough we played it live.
That was your first opportunity to see thatepisode.
We felt like it was a special that needed thelive broadcast.
Notice how it was daytime in certain people'splaces.
I think going forward, if we're gonna do that, though, we need to throw up a big disclaimer so
that our devout followers don't sit there andbounce off the wall like that.
(34:23):
I completely agree.
I apologize.
I probably should have smiled throughout it,but it was such a serious topic that it didn't.
Now we really need to get off this wholeamateur thing.
Even though I do think it's quite crazy thatyou get the same amount of points for finishing
in the cut.
If you make a cut, you get a point.
If you finish in the top 10, you get a point.
(34:45):
You don't get an extra point for finishing inthe top 5 or another point for finishing
runner-up.
Literally, you just get one point for being inthe top 10.
That seems messed up to me, but I'll get off mysoapbox.
Indigestion.
Back on the wagon.
(35:06):
Upset stomach, diarrhea.
Pepto Bismol.
Here we go.
Nico Echavarria.
He finishes T-2 as well.
So this kid's been on a tear.
He has been playing some fucking golf.
Another guy that probably wishes this seasonwasn't coming to a close.
Yeah.
Peaking late in the season, like, oh my god.
(35:27):
Put me back in the game, coach.
Now I gotta sit on my ass and hope that I canpick up this fire here.
What?
I mean, how god.
They have the shortest off-season
of any sport, though.
Right?
Like, when when
do they start back up?
A month?
5 weeks.
4 weeks.
So get out there, hit some balls, maybe don'tgo to sleep, do a bunch of drugs, and, like,
(35:48):
you'll be fine.
Yeah.
Nico is also a PXG guy.
So he's playing the gear.
Oh, Bobby's loving that one.
Yep.
Now Daniel Berger and Daniel, who finishedsecond,
Daniel Hanya.
And how he doesn't have his own line of, like, brisket cheeseburgers is, like, beyond me.
(36:13):
Go talk to your go talk to your boys down inSarasota.
They'll get him a shirt with all that on there.
He was outside of the top 125, by the way, tostart the week.
I've never even seen him do, like, a publiclike, he hasn't even done one video out
grilling cheeseburgers.
Daniel Berger is the most,
really missing an opportunity there.
(36:34):
Yeah.
I mean, but he is he's very introverted andsort of
He's a fucking nerd.
I got a story.
Quick story about Daniel Berger, actually.
Oh, why
don't you share?
Real quick.
So story time with Brent.
Buddy of mine was, buddy of mine is a coachdown in, down in, Florida State's what?
Tallahassee.
Right?
(36:54):
Tallahassee.
So he's a high school golf coach down there, and they always worked with, the FSU boys came
and and and, did clinics with them.
Every single time, Berger would be off in themiddle of nowhere in a cart on his phone, and
Koepka would be the one teaching the clinics.
Gives you an idea about the
(37:15):
Well, Berger is a super introvert weirdo.
Doesn't like the people.
Yeah.
Brooks, you know.
This is missing the boat.
I mean, he could be fucking trying to make ahole in one over his weird-ass house.
By the way, I'm sorry.
I've watched that five or six times.
Hang on.
We'll get to that.
We'll get to that later on.
We'll get
to that later on.
(37:35):
I know it's, we're already 40 minutes in, butwe will get to that later on.
It's so painful.
But Berger, he was 127 heading into the week.
Then from there ends up moving to 100 based offof that T2 finish.
Was he in the
pretty clutch.
Champions category already?
Was he in the was he did he win two years ago?
(37:59):
Do we know?
I wanna say yes, but he had that injury.
Oh, fuck it.
No.
So I
don't know how many years ago Oh, it's theAtlanta.
Last win.
Injured reserve.
I mean, either way, he locked it up, so he'sgood.
But that's good for him.
Yeah.
I mean, it's tough.
He he disappeared for a while.
Obviously, he wasn't on the Presidents Cup teamor the Ryder Cup team last year.
You know?
Haven't seen any of that, Kyle, but I'm sureButtsy or Matt will answer that shortly.
(38:25):
What do you guys see?
On these cart girls filming while working andputting it on social media.
Is it the same as those guys in the cart barnfilming it and put it on social media?
Well, is that the same thing, Brent?
You actually for once.
Pretty pretty solid.
That's actually Brent's best take.
Pretty much your best take ever.
When it's not serious when it's not serious.
(38:47):
No.
No.
I'm I'm just sitting here like, holy shit.
This is the fastest I've ever gotten blackoutdrunk in my life.
Just kidding.
We're not quite there, but we're close.
Thanks.
Shout out John Buscemi for this Wolves Whiskey.
We're gonna go ahead and top that off.
Do we touch on the cart girl point right now orno?
(39:10):
We can save that for our YouTube golf sectionbecause I feel like social media ties into that
as well.
We'll get to that now, but as we continue intothis, there was some Tour card drama that took
place.
Joel Dahmen, I did a little video over theweek.
Well, on Friday after the rounds talking about, you know, who missed the cut, hence a YouTube
(39:32):
guy, and Wesley Bryan ends up missing the cutand loses his PGA Tour card because of it.
But Joel Dahmen, Joel, he made the cut barelyand he had some work to do because he came into
the week at 124 heading into the weekend.
He was actually projected at 126.
And he made that little 6-footer there.
(39:54):
Yep.
And makes that 6-footer, buddy.
Shot a 64.
Did you see his front 9?
He had an No.
That was 3 birdies.
Par 70.
Right?
Yeah.
Regardless, he belongs out there.
Even if he's the last guy to belong, like, heproved that he belongs there.
(40:14):
Oh, Wesley Bryan for sure.
But Joel, well, Joel Dahmen.
Oh, Wesley Bryan, I don't think Wesley Bryanis, like, way below Joel Dahmen in my book,
like, in terms of talent level.
Really?
Absolutely.
Wesley Bryan is the same guy that, like, whenhe doesn't do good, he goes home and gets in a
fight with a Shake Weight.
Like, I don't I just feel like like I don'tknow.
(40:37):
Oh my god.
What what what does
that look like to get into a fight with a ShakeWeight?
Use your imagination.
It's the same thing that I'm imagining.
I don't know about that.
I think both of these guys are towards thelatter half of their careers.
I think Joel had a nice little dip into famewith the Netflix special, and there have also
(41:04):
been a ton of distractions.
A fucking
gangster, and he's marketable, and he's a manof the people.
Yeah.
He's way
better than the fucking butts
he's right on this one.
And the fucking YouTube fruit boot boys.
Like, I don't care what you fucking did.
I think Joel is talented.
Very.
He's
a talented motherfucker.
He really is.
I think he's better.
I think he's a better putter.
I think he's got a better short game.
(41:26):
I think he's just got more panache
than what we're understand, like, whatseparated them was basically, what, five spots?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So Wesley Bryan ends up finishing 128.
Joel Dahmen finishes 124.
So 4:7.
That was still pretty good for Wesley Bryan.
I think where Joel finished at was, like, wayfucking below his talent level.
(41:47):
Okay.
Alright.
Well, I don't disagree with you.
I agree with that.
I agree with that.
I do believe we're gonna see a lot more ofthat, especially as time goes on in the next
couple of years.
You're gonna see a lot of guys, you know, intheir late 30s, in their early 40s, and ticking
towards their mid-40s that are just kind ofrealizing, hey.
Like, I've gotta be, you know, that much betternow.
(42:11):
And, I mean, it's just kinda one of thosethings.
I mean, Joel
Joel had a weird year.
That's it.
Yeah.
But he also had a ton of distractions too.
Bad spot because of it.
Everybody, everybody in Joel's position, anywhere near Joel, is dealing with a ton of
distractions and a ton of shit with all thesechanges.
(42:31):
And I'm sure his family life's picking up more.
So, I mean, kudos to him for getting his ass ingear and staying on the PGA Tour, keeping his
card for at least one more year.
Congrats.
You know what I was
surprised about with the whole PAC proposals?
And it went through, by the way.
So 1226 proposal.
Yeah.
(42:52):
Well, it completely went through, but there wasone gentleman who opposed it.
Lucas Glover was a big promoter against it.
That guy's such a nerd.
I love that guy.
He wasn't the he wasn't the only one he wasn'tthe only one to stand against it, but he wasn't
the only one.
Biggest name to go against.
(43:12):
Like, he was probably the only one
fucking typed out by his wife.
Oh, stop it.
No.
So what?
They stood against the proposal, but see, notwith it.
I'm just trying to create good media here.
Can you please not like, can you please have alittle bit of
(43:36):
No.
Never.
I see where you're going.
Let's create something like Jesus Christ, man.
Henry Orlander.
He started at 126.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
That 120th with his T-17 finish.
Then he got Sam Ryder who finishes on thenumber 125, so we get another year of golf
joggers, which is Sam Ryder.
(43:58):
Changed his name legally to Samurai.
You know
what's great about Sam Ryder?
He has a sponsorship, and he's on a lot ofcommercials for Ryder Logistics or whatever it
is.
Truck rentals.
Yeah.
Truck rentals.
You you
See that, Buttsy?
He's all over those.
It's just crazy.
It's just crazy, the sponsors that latch outand lock on to these guys.
(44:21):
Like, yeah, man.
We're gonna give this guy, like, quarter of amillion dollars, and we're gonna promote truck
rentals.
Yeah.
That's who's in the space.
Isn't there somebody better?
Yeah.
I can't afford to do that.
Wouldn't there be a more opportunistic playthan that?
Well, we ain't got the money, man.
We ain't got any
Let's talk about some notables that did finishoutside of the top 125.
(44:44):
S.H.
Kim finished outside of the number.
Pierceson Coody, Matt Wallace, Kevin Streelman,Gary Woodland, and Taylor Montgomery.
Those were some notable guys that are going tobe working on some stuff in order to get their
tour cards back.
It's wild when it's guys that their nameresonates with you.
(45:05):
Yeah.
And they've done enough in their career wherethe average decent golfer knows who they are
and, like, that's a shock.
Gary Woodland was a bit of a shock, but I knowhe was on the medical exemption and so forth.
But
Yeah.
He had a brain aneurysm.
Yeah.
I was gonna say, didn't he have, like, a brainthing going on?
He had a brain tumor.
Am I wrong on that?
(45:26):
It's not a tumor.
He had to have it removed.
Yeah.
And then he Yeah.
I thought he was gonna go out
and just keep hitting fucking lasers.
Yeah.
Gary's the best.
There's nobody that I've I think I've run intothat persona
bed with them?
Back to back?
(45:46):
Probably.
You know what's wild is that this isn't even aconversation heading into 2026.
Nope.
Like, we're gonna be talking about guys thatare trying to be in the top 100.
Like, Daniel Berger is probably gonna be likethat storyline that it's like, holy shit.
He jumped 27 spots to Yeah.
You're right.
Get into the spot 100.
(46:09):
But remember, so the the new prices are gonnabe
cut off.
Well, but the field sizes are gonna be so smallthat you're
That's what I'm saying.
You're not gonna have any of that.
Right?
So so there's not gonna be there may be somedrama from 105 to 95.
Yeah.
There's no hero keep your card at 101 somethinglike
because the because the bottom, you know, 20what 126, I think, is gonna be the minimum
(46:33):
field.
Right?
So, you know, let's say the and due to timeconstraints, I think we have the schedule,
somewhere in my email.
But I think due due to time constraints, Idon't think they're gonna get anywhere near 144
towards the latter half of the season.
So
you're missing 30 guys.
I mean, that's
And that's okay.
I think that's okay.
I think it's okay as long as you fund the tourthat be
(46:55):
the people you work.
That's not in the top 100, but, in the sameregard, I understand the concept of making the
product more premium, and the only way you dothat is reduce, the membership to a more elite
staff.
I still Yeah.
But I guess
And they're talking about shrinking the KornFerry Tour as well.
(47:16):
They should.
What
are they thinking of there?
You
haven't heard this?
Uh-uh.
Oh, God.
I'm about to go down a rabbit hole with thiswhole thing.
If you're a businessman, that makes fuckingsense.
Like, and I hate I would hate it if I was theguy that was on the button because that fucks
up my entire career.
But, man, like, we we gotta we
(47:39):
gotta Here's what I here here's what I do knowbecause I've had a couple of phone calls this
this week.
Calls.
Couple phone calls.
One, just based on just based on what I've whatI've seen, I don't think anybody's just gonna
disagree with the fact that
I gotta
pee.
The PGA Tour Enterprises and their investorsare cutting costs.
(48:04):
And if that's their number one thing, right, ifcutting budget is is what they're doing, then
everybody understands it from that point ofview.
They're saying, hey.
We can't we can't fund this many tournamentsand still have these guys make all this money.
Now they're not gonna say that second partbecause they don't wanna make it about how much
money these guys are making, but that's whatit's really about.
(48:25):
And then the second part the second part, unfortunately, is that the only way they're
gonna keep this thing going for years, youknow, two, three, five, six years down the road
is to be able to have a Korn Ferry Tour that isstrong enough, to and that's monetarily and
also strength of field to be able to fill thePGA Tour with all the guys that we we've we've
(48:49):
known and loved over the last, I don't know, 10to 15 years.
Some of the guys that
are on the board.
Brent, wait till you see some of these changesthat are coming down the pipe for the Korn
Ferry Tour.
You are not gonna be thrilled about it.
Well, I can imagine it's gonna be somethinglike fewer tournaments, less field, something
to the tune like that.
Is that about right?
(49:10):
That is.
You know what else is wild too?
Is that
getting that from, by the way?
I'm gonna see that wasn't in an email.
Check it out.
We'll talk about it offline.
The one thing yeah.
Because a lot of it's starting to pour out.
The lines.
And you guys aren't even aware of it.
That's what
I did hear easy.
(49:31):
I did hear one interesting piece that I thoughtwas right on brand, and I hope every single
person that is listening to this or sees thisunderstands that this is what these guys are
about.
Peter Malnati is on the board.
Okay.
He's got a coveted one of six man board spot.
Right?
(49:51):
You're thinking, yeah, he's gonna make somegood decisions.
He's gonna be right on.
Okay.
So he stands up in a board meeting and says, weneed to fund the Korn Ferry Tour.
Jordan Spieth stands up in front of all ofthese people.
Right?
I'm assuming multiple business people and allthe rest of the board and says, that will never
happen.
(50:12):
So what makes us think it's really all about agood product or anything like that if it's
really just about making sure that these guyskeep their jobs where they want them and making
the most amount of money possible?
It has nothing to do with I don't
think come on.
Like, that's bullshit.
Well, did you guys see at all or read at allabout the interview with the gentleman who is
(50:38):
leaving the R&A?
The god.
I saw
a little
bit of it.
Hang on.
I saw a little bit of it.
I read the entire article.
I'm just
I'm just terrible with names.
God.
I gotta trim this mustache, dude.
Every sip I take is, like, taking five moresips after.
Yeah.
What's that?
(51:00):
What is this?
That's Chris Stapleton Whiskey, Traveler.
Chris Stapleton whiskey?
Yeah.
Shout-out to one of our camera people.
Caught.
My god.
A little Thanksgiving week.
We have some fun.
I'm gonna tell you right now.
I sent a text message to my wife to bring me atthe studio some more whiskey.
(51:23):
A little pop.
It's
like failure.
It's not happening yet.
You're on it, Buttsy.
I might have to disappear for a
moment.
She's
right there.
So you didn't say please?
Martin Slumbers, the R&A chief.
He's the outgoing
Martin Slumbers.
And he's warned that, and this goes right intothe Korn Ferry Tour stuff, that, you can come
(51:43):
on in, hon.
There you go.
Just come on.
Thank you so much.
Now, Arissa.
You can only hear right now, honey.
Thank you.
Oh, you can leave the bottle.
Love you.
Thank you.
Come on, sir.
Thank you.
I'll say it.
Thank you.
She said absolutely.
Warming up this winner for later.
Not allowed to keep the bottle, which is great, but there's no ice in this.
(52:07):
So we're going neat right now.
So this is going to be great.
But Martin Slumbers, he basically said thatgolf is not sustainable right now with how much
money is being paid out to everybody.
And he's warning everybody.
He's like, listen, this is not sustainable.
The way and the direction that you can't keeppaying out this amount of money, you're never
gonna make it back.
(52:27):
Paying them paying out what amount of money?
Who are you paying?
All the shots.
For Jordan.
I mean, look at the guys.
Where's the where's the back?
Where's the what?
Where's the fat?
Like, who's getting what?
Dig into that, divulge a little more, like, who's getting paid that shouldn't get paid and,
like, like, where's it coming from?
It's not people who shouldn't be getting paid.
(52:48):
It's how much they're getting paid.
It's it's about the fact that there's no ROI.
Right?
So you think about all these sponsors.
Right?
So, like, if if if we're gonna sit there oh,nice.
Very good.
Very good.
Wow.
If we're gonna sit there and say that you'regonna truly make a, like, a monetary ROI back,
that'd
(53:08):
be all
of this.
It's a lie, but, like, it's like what you saida few weeks ago, but you said the ROI is not in
money.
That always here we fucking go.
God, I wish I was.
Go on.
Yeah.
You got this, bro.
You got this.
Go get through.
Monetary ROI.
The bottom line is none of these sponsors cansit there and say that they put $10 million in
(53:31):
and they get $10 million plus back.
They just don't.
No.
They don't give a fuck about that.
Like, it's just a way to rethink that.
The money's no.
But the money's not endless, though.
I mean, none of these none of these people havetrillions of dollars except one entity.
And that's why you can definitely say that theSaudis and the and the PIF can can do all that
they want.
But even they said, hey.
(53:53):
We're not gonna sit there and pay your travelfees and everything forever, and they and they
put it back to the team.
So even if the second richest fund in the worldsaid, hey.
You know, we're gonna cut costs.
None of these businesses that that pale incomparison are gonna sit there and say, yeah.
We're gonna keep funding this.
You
know what I was thinking about?
(54:14):
This is a whole aside here, and I'm gonnaapologize for this, Brent, but it applies to
you.
What if you just learn how to putt, basically, and you just hit the accelerator like we all
know you're supposed to be doing.
And you get out there and you win, and nowyou're, like, in the mix.
(54:36):
And you're, like, you're the top 25.
Mhmm.
Is there, like, an FBI of the PGA Tour that'sgonna pull your little ass into a room and be
like, we watched the pod.
We've seen what
you've been
doing, and you are in hot water, you littlefucker.
Like, are they gonna get mad at you for that?
Like, is are you I would love to see JordanSpieth sit in front of me and tell me how I
(55:01):
should be as a man.
Get the fuck out of here.
Shake weight.
Get the fuck out.
There is not a single person on that board thatcan sit there and say that they've made all
these decisions with strong moral fiber.
Get the fuck out
of here.
And that's and that's why I posed the question.
So this is not a concern of yours.
No.
At the end of the day, Buttsy, it's a game.
(55:23):
You're for
man.
All it is.
I'm I'm for Christ, and that's it.
So the other thing Martin did mention, by theway, which a great name, Martin.
Just, classic
Martin.
Classic name.
It's Martin to me.
And to me.
Here's here's here's
the thing.
To me.
To me.
I can tell him Marty.
(55:44):
I can call Marty.
Marty.
I'm telling you, Marty.
We got something going on here, Marty.
So he said the game has been damaged byeverybody talking about money.
Yes.
That the fans and I've noticed it, especiallyeven on social media.
Like fans don't love all this money talk withprofessional golfers.
(56:06):
No, they're like,
we just wanna watch golf.
I just wanna watch everybody play against eachother.
I don't know if that's why
it makes a lot of sense, but Martin Slumbers,he's on his way up.
So he obviously has some slumbers.
Is that a name?
Yeah.
That's the outgoing chief.
Yeah.
He took he took a lot of abuse tonight.
(56:29):
Okay.
I don't I don't know.
He'd he left abruptly.
No.
Like, in terms of my feet, it was, like, some, like, like, some ghost type shit.
Was it an alien?
He just disappeared.
That could be.
I mean, the kid's quick.
He's got a fast golf swing, man.
Now hey.
Okay.
Yeah.
We'll talk about this later.
I'll say
(56:49):
The BMW Australian PGA Championship also tookplace, which and we normally don't talk about
this, but a kid named Elvis Smylie.
What a name.
Elvis Smylie.
Yo ho ho.
Ho ho.
He finished at 14 under par.
This is a 22-year-old lefty.
And I bring it up because obviously you're alefty, but he's only played in 16 pro events.
(57:14):
Guess who finished behind him in this golftournament?
No idea.
Cam Smith.
Cam Smith was playing in this.
Who?
Are you?
So this kid is this kid's early.
This kid's a stud at 22 years old.
We're out of the BMW Australian PGAChampionship where Elvis Smylie won, a lefty.
(57:36):
Elvis Smylie, 22-year-old kid.
He's only played in 16 pro events.
And we
Do you know what that tells me?
That there is not enough venues out there toshowcase the quality of golf that exists in the
world.
So you are spot on.
And that's why this is a huge mistake in myopinion that the PGA tour is doing by siphoning
(58:01):
it down to just these 100 guys, because what'sgonna end up happening is you're probably gonna
lose some big names throughout the yearsbecause they finish in a 100 and second, a 100
and third.
Right?
But hang on.
Let me counter that.
Some young guys coming in.
Let me counter that.
So if you wanted, if you wanna shrink theproduct so that you have the best players
(58:23):
standing on top of the hill, that I canunderstand.
Okay?
But the route that you get there, that's whatneeds to be addressed is how are we letting
guys qualify their talent to exist in thatspace?
What avenues are open so that at the end of theday, the best possible players, no matter what
(58:49):
background they come from or what political orhow much money they come from, they have an
opportunity to be in that space.
I'm okay with 100 guys being the best in theworld, but how you get there and how you make a
name for yourself, that's the problem for me.
Like, how do you exist in that space if there'sno avenue for you to get there?
(59:13):
It's a good point.
Well, so
that's, like, that's if the only avenue is togo through the fucking Korn Ferry Tour and go
to Q School and that's it.
I mean, have a qualifying event once a yearwhere you take three guys and you give them a
shot, and we'll put you into the group.
And, like, if you stay here, you belong.
Okay, cool.
That guy stayed because he's a fucking G, andhe's always been a G, and he never had the
(59:36):
opportunity because his parents come from amiddle-class upbringing.
But he actually possesses the talents to playout there.
Like, how does they don't want those
guys, though.
That's that's the so so the problem is
also part of the problem, Brent, is thatWyndham Clark, for instance, wouldn't, like, he
probably wouldn't have made it.
Like, Brian French did a write-up on Twitter inregards to how many guys that we know today as
(01:00:02):
big names.
Yeah.
Probably would
have to have
gone back down.
Simpson.
The fact that we revere Webb Simpson in anycategory as a great fucking player, he is,
like, the most bottom-feeding asshole.
He his dad spent, like, three what is it?
Like, it was some stupid number, and I
don't know if
you guys are did
you just call him a bottom-feeding asshole?
(01:00:24):
Mhmm.
Well, he was for
for years and days.
His family spent millions
and millions of dollars keeping him in thelimelight.
Oh, Jesus.
And and it was Webb is the nicest guy in theworld.
Poor Webb.
Okay.
But okay.
So let's let's facts.
(01:00:44):
Let's think of it this way.
So if we're gonna talk about if we're gonnatalk about what does it what were what are the
top three things you wanna see from the from aone a top 100 player on the PGA Tour?
What are the top three things?
What do you mean?
What do I wanna see?
I wanna see that they produce.
I wanna see that product.
Competitive with the other players that aresupposedly in
the marketplace.
(01:01:04):
Story, talent.
Right?
Like, you, they wanna be captivating.
They wanna be talent.
You know, they gotta be able to play.
There's gonna be multiple Q-schools put onthroughout the year where a guy can play into
the opportunity, not just a Monday qualifier, but, like, he can play into the opportunity
where we're not gonna give you a season.
(01:01:27):
Okay?
You came up from this arm or whatever thatwe've created, and it's for people like you.
You don't have $10 million to do this fulltime.
But if you get through all of these steps,we'll give you five starts.
And in those five starts, if you win twice andplace in the top 10 the other three times, you
(01:01:49):
clearly belong here and will probably see yourname at the top of the leaderboard forever.
But had we not done that, we'll never know whoyou are.
But so this is the thing, though.
Like, so what if they just said, hey, the KornFerry Tour is made up of Europe, Asia, and, you
know, the rest of whatever the Americas are.
(01:02:09):
And you've got, you know, three steps of theseason, three different parts of the year, and
you pick up 10 guys each way.
And then each the top 10 guys from each
How do you pick them up?
From each field.
How do you pick them up?
They play.
They play.
What do they play in?
Seven events.
Eight events.
No.
But, like, how do they, how do they get inthose events?
What do
you mean?
There's a DP World, there's a KFT, there's anAsian Tour.
(01:02:32):
No.
But how do you get, how do you even get in therank?
Like, how do you even get a shot at beingconsidered?
Like, how do you get your, how do you get yourfucking body out there playing in that event?
The same way they do it now, which is Q School.
Mm-mm.
Each of these plays that my problem.
I think that's the problem is, like, that's nota good representation because some guys can't
afford to do that.
(01:02:53):
Yeah.
But that's not what it's about, though.
It is.
If you can't afford it, you don't have achance.
Yeah.
So what?
Whoa.
Don't you think that that's a travesty for theamount of talent that exists in the world that
could be better than what we see
There are
every day on TV?
There are probably no less than 1,000 guysright now
Doubt it.
that can play, that can compete on the KornFerry Tour.
(01:03:20):
A thousand.
The question is, are those guys good enough toget through Q School?
I think if dudes there's a, there's a, there'sprobably 10,000 men across the globe that
possess the talent and they have the brain andthe panache and the know-how.
And if given the opportunity
(01:03:41):
have a panache?
I like that word, so I just threw that.
That's a good, that's a good word, panache.
If given the opportunity, which they will neverget because they come from poverty or they
don't come from the ability to play golf everyday, but they possess the skill level and if
given the chance to compete in an event wherethey can show themselves, they'll never be
(01:04:03):
there
in their
lives under the current setup.
But if somebody gave them an avenue to showthemselves, you might have one out of 10 of
those guys that ends up being somebody thatwe're talking about every day on the
How many, how many play, how many players doyou think sign up for Q School every
year?
Well, we couldn't even get what I would say ishow many people sign up
(01:04:26):
for PGA.
How many people
How many people, how many people don't sign upfor Q School?
Because that's a pipe dream.
Like, the idea of spending fucking what does QSchool cost?
Like, first off, you can't have a job.
Like, you gotta, you gotta do this.
Yeah.
It's, like, fuck, $100.
Like, they'll never
How much is it to go to Q School?
(01:04:47):
$5,500 is the entry fee.
Now that's the entry fee, but what does thatmean?
That means that you don't have
a job
that you
have to hold down, that you don't have any ofthe other responsibilities, that that is your
sole focus.
So but you are attempting to become aprofessional athlete, so, yeah, that would be
your job.
Now, again, for those of us that have the forthose of us that have have gone down this path,
(01:05:10):
right, me being one of them, I worked at a golfI worked at a golf shop before I, you know, as
I was a professional and, you know, did what Idid.
Matt, obviously, you've you've seen the otherside as a teaching pro.
Right?
You can't do seen it from I've seen it fromevery level.
What I'm saying is, like, exactly.
So so so combined, we've seen it literally fromtop to bottom.
Right?
So from
the beginning of the controversial here.
(01:05:33):
No shit.
And I, well, I believe this.
I firmly, and I always have to do this.
There is a talent of golf that exists in theworld, and there's a certain little tiny little
bubble of those guys that will never see thelight of day, but their talent level super
exceeds what we watch every day on TV, and theywill never ever have the chance to ever get
(01:05:58):
there.
But they are capable of it.
And because of economical circumstance, theywill never ever achieve that.
Absolutely agree.
Like, that exists.
There are a 1,000 motherfuckers around theplanet of Earth.
How about this one?
I'll give you one that's real close to home.
There's a guy that's made it to the PGA Tourright that's, like, real close to home and
(01:06:22):
can't find a single sponsor.
How about that?
So if if that guy can't seem to find much, I'mjust saying.
You can't
talk about yourself.
I'm just saying.
He said he I'm just saying.
You can't use the podcast to fucking say it'syou.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying.
(01:06:42):
Man.
It's to say that to say that that's the problemwith the system is ridiculous.
That's not the problem with the system.
There are plenty of guys that come from nothingthat made it on their own doing what they did,
and I'm one of them.
It's not like a it's not like my family has anysort of money to begin with.
But, dawg, you had
a whole
goddamn fucking field.
They peek at the whole deal.
(01:07:03):
Like, you
got more money.
On my own.
And you did, and what happened?
Now you gotta go back and prove a lot of money.
What I did.
So that's my point.
Right?
So is it the system that—no, no.
I understand.
Is it the system that is the problem, or is itthe fact that it's the system?
What is happening is it's basically gone.
(01:07:25):
All of the money is gone to a small select fewinstead of being a little bit more spread out.
If Grant Horvat can ultra market himself to apoint where he is now—
But he sucks.
Bodied.
No, this is my point.
You have somebody that's, like, a decent playerbut is subpar and has done such a great job
(01:07:47):
marketing himself because he has the ability todo YouTube seven days a week.
Player.
He is.
But, like, that guy's tough.
An egg on it.
Obvious that that guy doesn't have a worryabout paying for his life.
No.
If you put—
Pressure on him, he's not gonna be able to makea cut on a pro circuit.
(01:08:08):
For sure.
But now he's rubbing shoulders with PhilMickelson, and they're doing a whole other
raunchy fucking outcrop of golf that theaverage idiot is going to absolutely eat the
fuck out of, and I get it.
And I love that too for them.
That's great.
But your response to Bryson.
But there is a guy out there.
(01:08:28):
That's all I'm saying.
There's at least a handful of people out therethat are right there with Scottie Scheffler
that will never see the light of day, thatyou'll never know.
But that's all I'm saying.
I think there—I think to say that there's notone would be wrong, but to say that there's
several—
Have you ever seen The Legend of Bagger Vance?
(01:08:50):
That guy was—that guy was Ken.
Literally.
Yeah.
He was a stud from that town.
That only means he's poor.
Literally about what I'm talking about.
Some poor guy?
He wasn't poor?
No.
I will say everybody—here's the thing.
Everybody develops at a different point.
Sure.
Right?
And if you don't have the money, then you'reprobably not gonna be out there.
(01:09:17):
That's no matter how good you are.
That's why
I'm not out there.
But you know what?
Actually, you know, and more to what more towhat but, hey, let me ask you something, Matt.
If you if you had it all over to do again andyou and you told yourself, okay.
You know what?
I can be more relaxed, you know, not betraveling all the time, not be living out of
this mess.
(01:09:38):
Money back then, I will tell you this.
Sure.
I have played golf with a lot of modern-day MoeNormans that don't have the simplest idea in
the world how to make a dollar for themselves.
But when you watch them hit a golf ball, you'relike
He's talking about himself.
No.
No.
Not me.
I suck.
I'm talking about I have played with some damnnear Down syndrome people, but my god, their
(01:10:01):
ability to hit a golf shot's like—but then you, like, talk to them and you're like, yeah.
I get it.
There ain't no way in hell that anybody isgonna market you to the PGA Tour.
You ain't ever gonna see the light of day, butyour ability is there.
Like, these people exist.
That's all I'm saying.
That's all I'm trying to get us to agree uponis that there
(01:10:23):
is oh, I totally agree.
There is
a certain number.
Group.
There's a certain number.
Well, the
APJ is talking about I don't know.
I went to You too.
You two went to battle.
And now somehow, and I have not heard a singlepoint that brought you two back to the middle,
but somehow you two are back to agreeing witheach other,
(01:10:45):
which is incredible.
You're right.
You're right.
I mean, this is like watching a dove.
Two idiots fight over a football.
A deflated one here.
You guys are special.
Now what I do I had this whole thing.
(01:11:07):
Where do we go from here?
Right.
And I don't—I'd honestly
Let's go to the real controversial stuff.
I mean, shit.
We were on the BMW Australian.
Forget that.
Nobody cares anymore now.
Nobody cares about
the cares about the Patrick Reed won on theAsian Tour.
Nobody cares.
Moving
on.
When?
Last week.
Oh, wait.
He shot like a record round.
(01:11:29):
Twenty-two under par.
He shot over three days.
He won by three shots.
I saw this and does it count is what I saw.
You know what's probably the bigger issue withthat golf tournament is that Tom Kim missed the
cut.
That's because he was on the overtime.
Is Tom Kim going to go through a funk?
(01:11:50):
No.
He deserves to be based on his actions previousin the year.
Tom Kim is Buttsy's number one most hatedgolfer.
He's been—no.
I love him, but he was a little diva, and he,like, did a lot of things that are gonna set
him back, and he doesn't even understand thoserepercussions yet.
I think Tom Kim spent the entire fall partyinghis ass off after the Presidents Cup.
(01:12:14):
It's exactly what he did.
You're probably right.
Why wouldn't you?
He probably, you know, he just turned, what,22, 23, whatever he said.
Who gives a shit?
Guy got
a nice little gonna be a flash in the pan, andhe will be one of the top 30 in the world.
Exactly.
Well, he already is.
But yeah.
No.
But, like, consistently and, like, this will bea yeah.
(01:12:36):
This will be when I was young, I laid my putterdown and asked for a putt, and a lot of people
got really mad about that.
And, I was super gay and, like, you know, andthey got over it.
So
Well, the funny thing is he plays, like, a32-inch putter anyway.
So the length of putt he was asking for waslike that.
But yeah, dude.
I mean, he fucking puts his putter in his shoe.
(01:12:59):
Buttsy, I'm telling you, man.
On tour.
It's hilarious.
Alright.
Anyways, so off the golf, nobody gives a shitabout the golf.
What what's what's actually going on with
golf ball?
Podcast.
We we
need to Okay.
We need to continue on the right path here.
I think we're gonna cover the TGL next week.
I think we're gonna move that Oh, is that thefake
(01:13:19):
golf league?
That's the bullshit golf league.
No.
Guys, I think you're bull Oh my god.
On this.
And I no.
I'm with that.
I I'm with that.
I think you're fucking wrong.
This is not it's not bullshit in the if it wasbullshit, people wouldn't fucking be waiting
for a Bob Does
Sports.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Listen.
(01:13:40):
There's definitely This
is gonna be something.
I'm telling you right now.
Here's the deal.
Okay.
We're going to talk about TGL.
We're actually going to skip this one stylesegment.
Sorry, Swanee.
No, no, no.
Don't do that real quick.
Okay.
Real quick.
We're going to do the Swannies style segment.
Okay.
Black Friday is here.
And guess what, folks?
30% off over at Swannies.
(01:14:01):
I will tell you that the Black Swan line hasbeen absolutely incredible.
It is their high-end line, and they did alimited release.
I absolutely love it.
The materials on this are incredible.
And Buttsy is losing his mind over it becausehe knows just how some of these fabrics are.
I got to hook up Brent with the Swannies BlackSwan line because this stuff is unreal.
(01:14:27):
The other side to this for Black Friday folks, you get 30% off.
So don't even worry about Pull Hook Golf andall of this.
Just go over to Swannies.co, buy everything youcan, be a swan just like Brent Grant here, and
you will get 30% off over at Swannies.co.
The luggage set, by the way.
(01:14:47):
So I got taken to the Polar Express this pastweekend.
What was that like?
Where I was fed hot chocolate and chocolatechip cookies on a,
you look like an elf.
Yeah.
They really did.
And guess what?
We got to see Santa Claus, and it was fantasticstuff.
But I will say on that journey, I utilized mySwannies luggage set, and it was incredible.
(01:15:13):
So, folks, do not underestimate the Swanniesluggage set because I use it all the time now.
I never thought I would because I wasalways—I’m not even gonna say another brand
name because there's some stuff that I used touse all the time to me.
Used to use it.
And this Black Swan, this luggage set fromSwannies because it's all black luggage gear.
(01:15:40):
They even have that backpack, by the way.
I like to call it the Phoenix backpack.
I call it the Buttsy backpack where the bottomhalf unzips, and you can put all your booze in
there.
You could take that right onto the golf courseunless you get
that the Buttsy thing?
Like, you can take out some
time with booze?
No.
When you take booze, it's a good hiding placefor booze.
(01:16:00):
Right?
There you go.
Yeah.
So that's what it is, folks.
So, now we're gonna talk about what is yourfavorite gear on the golf course?
So this could be speakers, rangefinders, etc.
And you can use brands here because weobviously want people to buy the proper gear.
So big black
(01:16:21):
Big black rangefinders.
Is that a brand?
I don't know, but it's long.
Brent, what's your favorite thing out there?
My favorite thing in the whole golf gear setupis the Rokform speaker.
It is, by far and away, the best.
(01:16:42):
It's like just basically it's magnetic, goes onthe
Have you ever seen the movie Private Parts?
I don't think I have.
I don't think I have.
Howard Stern?
Explain.
No.
I don't think I have.
Yeah.
Brent did that one scene from that movie with aRokform where he sat on top of it and turned it
(01:17:03):
on and showed people based on his enticementlevel and how titillated he was, the strength
of the bass and the treble and what he wasdoing to his loins.
What?
Real good.
Real good.
What does that even mean?
I will say this.
And none of these brands, by the way, he sat
(01:17:24):
None of these are sponsors.
None of these are sponsors.
So what Brent just mentioned, Rokform.
And then I will mention something that if youare a content creator out there on the golf
course, the iRange is a great tool to stickinto the ground or use as a tripod.
And you've got the MagSafe connection there.
(01:17:46):
So if you've got an iPhone and a recent one,you can just attach it right to there.
Take a quick video.
Boom.
You're moving on.
Or if you're trying
to improve your golf swing, Aqua makes sense.
Does a great cream pie for Thanksgiving.
I don't think we got a single item.
Buttsy, this was your one chance to really, like, pitch something that, you know, but he
(01:18:08):
gets so many sponsors on social media that justsend him stuff.
And then he's gotta create these little videosfor
it, which I absolutely love.
My time?
This was your time to, like, pitch a brand thatis not a sponsor of the show.
If you guys have been cooking in any normalcookware, stop.
Alright.
No.
This was supposed to be for gear on the golfcourse.
(01:18:29):
Yeah.
But gear on the golf course starts in the
kitchen.
Alright.
Go ahead.
You got it.
You got it.
Look, you dumbass.
You can't even play golf if you aren't wellfed.
So because of that, shout out Xflad Cookery, and you're gonna head over to my page on
Instagram and click the link in my bio.
(01:18:50):
You're gonna get the discount codeautomatically, get you a roasting oven, get you
a pot, get you a pan.
Okay.
That's fine.
I'm just trying to I'm just trying to keeppeople's nutrition.
Just just
stay just stay fed, folks.
They're cooking in cancerous materials likethis.
This is not the way.
(01:19:11):
You're gonna wanna head on over, hit thatHexClad link and, you know, buy real pans.
I have seen some messages from you.
When you were trying to show Brent how to cooka steak, that was yeah.
And you were using HexClad in those videos youwere sending over, and you're like, hey, man.
(01:19:31):
This is how you do it.
You put it into, you know, your cast iron andthen into a HexClad.
And, I mean, the shit that you were sendingover, Buttsy, you look like
restaurants falling.
No.
I wanna cut this open and I wanna see thosemuscle fibers still firing.
Like, I want this thing to be pretty much alivewhen I eat it.
I feel like I'm hunting this thing.
(01:19:51):
You know, as we're talking about food, I willbring up out
of the
blue.
Have you you guys seen Biz from Spittin'Chiclets?
He got into a fight, out of Houston's here inArizona.
No.
He took on seven drunk golf dudes that startedfighting the assistant general manager and the
(01:20:13):
general manager, and he ended up he he had thegreatest quote of all time.
He goes, I took some shots, but I gave out moreshots.
Good for him.
Fuck.
More shots were
were given than taken.
Paul Bissonnette, he was
a part of the Coyotes.
For the
cruise ship.
Dote.
(01:20:34):
I tell you what, he was a defender, and we usedto work out together at PFS.
Yeah.
PFS.
Yep.
Bunch of stretching and gay shit.
But, Paul Bissonnette.
So he took on seven dudes outside of aHouston's here in Arizona.
Now do you feel as aptly equipped because ofyour training there to, like, where you could
(01:20:56):
just take
on seven dudes outside of a Houston's?
Someone challenges that lady outside ofHouston's steakhouse, like
I'd probably think I could.
I probably think I could.
I have been doing, and this golf training farexceeds golf.
I can whoop
some of that.
Second.
Hang on a second.
Out of that gym also was "Sugar" Sean.
(01:21:17):
That's correct.
That sounds like a fighter's name.
He's a fighter.
Go fighter.
UFC fighter?
Yeah.
So champion.
You're training at,
you are far exceeding the golf take.
You're getting golf training, but also you'regetting life training and defensive training at
the same time.
(01:21:37):
Oh, remember, guys.
Shout out.
Remember, don't forget.
Success in this game depends less on strengthof body than strength of mind and character.
Wow.
Yeah.
There's a lot of
people like that quote?
That's pretty good.
Really remembered it.
Yeah.
Well done, Kyle, from Cart Barn, guys.
Our soul of, like, guy out there tonight.
Okay.
(01:21:57):
Let's get back to the real stuff that matters.
I mean, I'm absolutely
I mean, Kyle says it's the best pod to date,
and he's tuned
in a lot.
I mean, the TGL shit is so I'm sorry.
It's fucking stupid.
Brent, I'm
giving you right now.
I'm telling you right now.
Money grab.
Money grab.
If they gave you You
are you are completely wrong here.
million.
You are completely wrong.
(01:22:18):
No.
Money grab.
They gave Brent one point if if some assholecalled Brent on the phone right now and say,
hey, bud.
Now you've been through a lot.
I'm gonna tell you right now that, Brent, yourtake is completely wrong right now.
It's a money bill.
Brent, if they said we're gonna give you$2,400,000 to shut the fuck up and love us.
(01:22:39):
To change my opinion of it?
No.
You would not be saying what you're sayingright
now nor would I.
It's a money game.
Literally be saying it is the best thing tohappen to golf in the last 2 seconds.
Pay me to lie.
Guys, I am not getting paid by the TGL, and I'mgonna tell you right now that this is actually
gonna be pretty awesome to watch.
(01:23:00):
Why do you say that?
So first of all, have you seen the size of thescreen?
I understand what they're doing.
I actually have a
Answer me this.
And this is a multiple choice question.
How many stories of a building is the size ofthe screen?
1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?
4.
Brent?
5.
(01:23:20):
You fucking guessed.
You don't even know this.
It is.
So I don't
give a shit.
It's 5 stories tall.
Now.
Okay.
Also think of this.
Think of you don't have to move land and youcan create the coolest golf holes.
In virtual reality.
Before it even starts.
No.
I'm telling you right now, it's gonna beabsolutely fucking awesome.
(01:23:41):
All fake.
Oh, is it?
Guys are gonna be hitting like, this is nothitting into a screen 10 feet in front of you.
They're hitting the 1st 60 yards back.
So this is going to be a tool shed foreverybody on social media.
That's what's gonna turn into.
Okay.
It
is a 100% money grab.
How is it not a money grab?
No.
The only thing that I wasn't set on was theformat because the format is a little goofy.
(01:24:05):
But now I realized that the format mightactually work.
It might actually work.
Okay.
But you're telling me this isn't about a groupof guys just getting paid a shitload of money
to play virtual golf?
Once we tell people that indoor virtual golf issomehow anywhere near a professional capacity.
Topgolf
just fucking went bankrupt or whatever.
(01:24:25):
Why don't we just buy?
Yeah.
I don't
know what's gonna be so funny is when thishappens and they are absolutely crushing it in
terms of viewership, I'm gonna be laughing atthis off YouTube.
No.
I'm with you.
They're going to crush it.
All
of them.
And I bet you that you are going to love it.
No.
Not a chance.
Yeah.
I will.
It's still the same guys that are just asboring.
(01:24:47):
I don't
know.
Maybe we will.
No.
No.
You have to I know all of these guys.
You don't know.
You don't know.
You don't know.
No.
I I
think you're wrong because Okay.
You don't know when I text my agent.
You don't know the promo push that is comingfrom.
So first of all, let's go over the teamsbecause we got New York Golf Club.
And by the way, when you look at the logos thatcame out of LIV Golf, it looks like they were
(01:25:11):
created from MS-DOS.
Okay.
Or MS Word
or MS-13.
1 (1h
19 MS-13 by literally the worst graphicdesigners you could ever come up with.
You look at these teams and their actual logosand everything, and they look like real sports.
Like, for instance, let's pull it up here.
(01:25:33):
They have tried to do this.
Matt, do you have any idea?
That looks like the Alabama logo.
Yeah.
And guess what?
An Alabama logo is pretty clean.
Right?
That looks like an A's logo.
I'm gonna walk you through this team alone.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Go back.
Look at Paul.
There's no booger thing.
There's the booger thing.
There's the booger thing.
Right.
There's the booger thing.
Yeah.
There's the booger team.
There's the nose-picking eating boogers team.
(01:25:54):
What the fuck, guys?
Jupiter Lynx.
Get out of here.
LAGC.
Who gives a shit?
Like, these logos are cool.
Look here.
And then my team.
This is my team.
I am now announcing even though I had a closetie to LA Golf Club originally as I interviewed
(01:26:14):
Neil Hubman, who is
Oh, Matt got hired.
That's why.
Are they secretly paying you to talk aboutHarley?
Need to talk about this.
Hired.
Telling you right now.
New York Golf Club is my team now.
Okay?
That's because you got hired to be theirannouncer.
That's your not your way.
But to you, who cares about people?
(01:26:36):
Wear the Bay Club golf hat.
No.
No.
That's
terrible.
This is the gayest shit I've ever seen in thehistory of golf, and they can fucking
see it.
None of those guys have any oh my god.
That's so stupid.
Oh, that's so, so oh, that's so dumb.
Just because it's bigger doesn't mean that it'sbetter.
That's you.
Know, I gotta be honest, though.
(01:26:58):
I gotta be honest.
Bigger is
kinda better.
No.
I just saw that last I just saw that pull that
Let's pull that
back up.
Right there, and instantly, I'm in.
No.
Yeah.
Fuck off, Buttsy.
You're only in because I'm not in.
My name is not Buttsy.
Alright?
I don't want you to
fuck me.
I'm not a trailer park fucking slumlord.
Alright?
Sure?
(01:27:18):
That's.
Sure?
Go put that put that up one more time.
That really grabbed me.
Yep.
Oh my.
Of course, it did.
You're a fucking douchebag.
When I see 24 ads, I'm like, it looks likegambling and, like, there's a gambling
Exactly.
Let's just talk about only the gambling side ofthem.
(01:27:38):
Screen is what we play at the indoor golf
center.
My god.
So it has to be that big because they're thatfar away.
If they were closer, they wouldn't need it tobe that big.
But there's
a the golf
program too, Liz.
Oh my
god.
Like, it's actually pretty fucking cool.
It's it's really not.
You have
God, I wish I just got an invite to be there, and I would just start you
(01:28:00):
have a few of I'll tell you what.
I will ask my agent who is now the head ofplayer relations.
Brent, I'm not gonna lie down for them.
You need me to be your agent because whoever'sdoing
He literally works for TGL.
Okay?
I will talk to him next week and get hisbreakdown, and I will share it with you.
Yeah.
But he's not.
(01:28:20):
You know, where it shifted here.
Where it has shifted is that the players are nolonger mocking it, those who are actually a
part of it.
And have been, no, no, no, no, no.
But they're like, you can read between thelines.
Like last year,
the guys were just like,
this is gonna be a thing.
Okay.
Only other guys are paying
for it.
It's gonna be a thing.
(01:28:41):
Brent, I'm telling you right now.
Would you put $100 on it?
Doubt.
I would put it easily.
Actually, let me come over here.
There we go.
$100 on it?
$100 on it.
Easily.
Now what does that mean?
Now what does that mean?
That there's going to be multiple seasons tothis for the foreseeable future.
What about why?
Why?
Who cares?
(01:29:01):
Why does anybody give a fuck about that?
Because you get to watch it during prime time.
It takes place over.
Because guess what?
If it is...
Bring
it down to me, Matty.
Humans love competition no matter what it is.
If it
is good competition, like, these guys could beplaying shuffleboard, and if they're tour
players, we'd probably watch it.
(01:29:22):
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we've got the name that...
We've got regionality out of it.
Like, for instance, look at myself.
I was literally very interested as soon as Isaw all the New York Golf Club stuff.
As a New Yorker, I'm like, oh, man.
Are you
guys to New York at all?
Yeah.
Cam Young.
(01:29:44):
I think this is going...
Cam Young's from New York.
Born in Sleepy Hollow Golf Club was where hisdad was the head golf professional at.
Born and raised in New York.
Yeah.
Really?
Yeah.
That's fucking news.
Okay.
Perfect way for me to end it.
I gotta go, boys.
(01:30:08):
Love and hugs.
Signing off.
Great show, boys.
