(00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman.

(00:04):
And as your wise man, I'm here to bestow upon you the wisdom that you're listening to
Punx Talk Wrestling.
Welcome to Punx Talk Wrestling!
On this episode, we officially begin our road to WrestleMania

(00:27):
as we talk about everything that's happened in Indianapolis, Indiana
at this year's Royal Rumble.
I am R.W. Hellborn, the PA Rock Prince, hailing quote-unquote from Philly!
And I am one half of the crown, which is one half of your Punx Talk Wrestling

(00:53):
inter-universal tag team podcast champion host of the world!
Now, then, and forever by my side, 3500 miles away in London, England!

(01:18):
He is my tag team podcast partner. He is the other half of the crown,
which is the other half of your Punx Talk Wrestling inter-universal tag team podcast champion host of the world!

(01:40):
And Mr. Didgeridoo, sir king of reels, the proper prick, C.J. Newman!

(02:05):
Oh, man, isn't it great to be back, huh?
Did you know that the first ever Royal Rumble, as we all know, was in 1998?
No, 1998, it was 1988, which came from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada,

(02:31):
which was won by Jim Duggan, as you all know, right?
That's what we think anyway, right?
Well, I tell you something.
The first ever Royal Rumble actually happened at a house show in 1988.
1988, sorry, 1987, October 4th, 1987, at a house show in St. Louis, Missouri,

(02:55):
and it was a 12-man Royal Rumble, so in this event it wasn't like a normal battle royal,
which we were used to. Everyone was coming out at different intervals,
and it was won by the one-man gang, last eliminating the junkyard dog,
and it was to earn a WWF World Heavyweight Championship match against Hulk Hogan

(03:17):
the following month at another house show in St. Louis,
so they were kind of running their own kind of storyline within the St. Louis house show circuit, I guess,
but there is no story to this, but you've got to only think that this must have been,
this was like five months removed, well, three or four months removed from the actual Royal Rumble events,

(03:40):
you've got to think that this was probably the little trial test to see how it worked.
Yeah.
So there you go.
Did you know that?
I did not know that, actually. I didn't know that at all.
Yeah, so the one-man gang, I can assure you the one-man gang,
definitely did face Hulk Hogan at the house show the next month,

(04:03):
but he definitely didn't win because he never become WWE Champion.
That is correct, yeah. The one-man gang is a zero-time heavyweight champion,
but it was probably a really good match, it was probably really fun.
Maybe. At least for a house show in St. Louis, Missouri in 1987.
Yeah, I mean, it's probably interesting to say, I would love to know if any video footage of that actually exists somewhere.

(04:32):
I mean, they were filming, I mean, it was 1987, WrestleMania had already happened, so it's not like that.
Oh yeah, there was weekly TV for sure. I don't know if they were filming house shows back then,
at least not a random house show in St. Louis, Missouri,
but they might have filmed the original 12-man Royal Rumble.
Yeah, like that would be, I would love to see that match if that exists anywhere.

(04:55):
Yeah.
That'd be really cool.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
I don't know if anybody out there knows of the existence of any footage of that 12-man.
I guess it was in a Royal Rumble. Did they call it, but they didn't call it a Royal Rumble, did they?

(05:16):
I don't know, it seems to, I don't know if they called it a Royal Rumble per se,
but it was definitely, looks like a trial for a Royal Rumble,
but definitely people came out at separate intervals.
Yeah, actually, I've just found a poster, this is really fucking cool.

(05:41):
World Wrestling Federation, this Sunday, October 4th, 7.30pm at the Keele Auditorium.
For the first time in history, Wrestling History, a 12-man Royal Rumble.
The Rumble starts with two men in the ring, one is added every two minutes,
entrance are eliminated by being thrown over the top row,
with a lone survivor left in the ring as the winner.

(06:02):
Damn, that's awesome.
Yeah, I just literally found the poster from the actual event, which is pretty cool.
That would be a good reel.
That would be a good reel, maybe it will be a reel.
Maybe it will be a reel.
You know what else is real?
What's that?

(06:23):
We're back, baby! We're back!
There we are.
It's really real, it's been back.
I mean, it's been, I think we've, yeah, there's been, yeah, there's a whole lot that's happened,
and we already talked about some of it, so we won't talk about it again.
Because you'll get to hear it as we talk about it.
Right now.
Right now.
Yeah, because editing.

(06:44):
Anyway, good things moving.
How the hell is tour?
Yeah, tell me that.
Dude, tour, with the tour with the rumors, yeah, so this was one of the reasons we were off for most of the month.
You know, we, as you may have listened, as you may have heard, the episodes that we aired in January,
right after the raw debut, we pre-taped two episodes for all of 2020.

(07:08):
With your audio and stereo.
Yeah, yeah, I totally whiffed something with that.
So thanks for sticking with us, hanging in there.
Our audio issues have been resolved, hopefully.
And I did a test and it sounded good, so.
Yeah, man, the tour was great.

(07:30):
This tour, the rumors were supporting the coffin cats, which are like a psychobilly band,
if you're familiar, if any of our listeners are not familiar, go check out the coffin cats with K.
K and coffin and K and cats.
Sweet.
I guess they did it to be cool.
It sounds, it looks cooler, I guess.

(07:52):
But no, man, it was really good, really good for the band, really good, you know, the rumors got in front of a lot of new eyes.
We had people at every show coming up saying this is the first time they ever, they heard them and they freaking loved them.
You know, they really, really, they really, really put on a great performance.

(08:16):
Speaking of music videos, I'm working on a music video for them as well for one of the songs on their album, Killer Be Killed.
The title track, Killer Be Killed.
Sweet.
I've been, so, you know, we've got some things in common here with our video production, future.
So yeah, hey man, you know, if you run into production, you know, into a production slog and need some extra assistance, you know, give me a call.

(08:46):
Well, hell yeah.
You know, obviously we've got...
Believe me, I'm looking for work anywhere at this point.
Yeah, yeah, same thing.
If I get stuff, I'll be like, hey man, I got this project, you guys want to help me with this.
Damn right.
That's what we do.
That's what we do.
We help each other out.
We're gonna, you know, we're gonna take the world by storm from 3,500 miles away from each other as we do.

(09:11):
This is a big fucking year, man.
This is a big year for everybody that's involved with us in some way.
Let's fucking hope so.
I found out the other day that apparently this year is the year of the snake in the Chinese New Year.
And I was born in the year of the snake, which means it's meant to be a lucky year for me.

(09:34):
Oh shit, what year's... I don't know anything about the Chinese years.
So, wait, what year were you born?
I was born in 77.
Chinese New Year 77. Let's find out.
It'd be funny if we're both snakes.
I think I'm like a wolf or something.

(09:55):
Year of the snake!
I am a year of the snake!
Yes, you are.
No shit!
That means that in this year, 2025 is the year of the snake.
So it's meant to be a good year for us, dude.
Holy shit. Well, hey, man.
Happy year of the snake.
Happy year of the snake.
Two year.
And happy, happy lucky new year to us.
This makes, you know, it makes all the sense.

(10:16):
It makes all the sense that you and I are both snakes.
Couple of snakes.
Couple of fucking snakes in the grass here.
Just slithering around, getting ourselves...
In a good way. We're not snakes.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, we're not snakes.
Oh, yeah, no, no. We're not, like, we're not bad snakes.
We're like, you know, we're cool...
Yeah, we're cool good snakes.
We're kind of like Santino Morellas snake.

(10:38):
Exactly.
We're like the Cobra.
We're like Santino Morellas Cobra.
Shout out to TNA General Manager Santino Morellas, dude.
I'm so... I'll tell you what, man.
I'm so happy that I've watched so much more wrestling now.
You know?
I've been able to check out TNA fairly regularly.

(10:59):
I catch up on TNA at least every other week.
I feel like, honestly, I have no idea how to watch it in the UK,
but...
And I probably should look into that.
From that website.
What website?
I watch it... I don't know.
Oh, that website. I know you're talking about.
There's a website that some people can watch things from.

(11:20):
Wink, wink.
Yeah.
That's how I do it.
I haven't divulged into it, but I definitely...
I do keep up with what happens there through their social media.
I guess before we get onto the big news,
well, the big... talking about the rumble,
which is what the plan is today.
Yeah.
I think since we last spoke,
WWE and TNA announced their partnership with each other,

(11:43):
which is huge.
Official partnership? Yeah.
Yeah.
Just open borders.
Open borders between TNA and WWE.
Crazy world we're living in.
And we saw a little bit of that in the Royal Rumble.
We did.
A big little bit of that.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Yeah, we'll totally get to that when we get to the matches themselves.

(12:08):
But yeah, this is...
So far, everything that we've seen has been phenomenal.
I mean, they've been teasing... they've teased a working relationship last year
with a lot of the crossovers that happened.
We saw Jordan Grace.
She made her debut at last year's Royal Rumble

(12:31):
when she was a TNA knockouts champion.
Yeah, and she is now signed with the WWE a few days before the rumble.
She is officially a member of the WWE roster.
It's fantastic.
I have a feeling that we're going to see her in NXT.
I don't know that they've officially announced where she's going.

(12:54):
Yeah, they haven't announced.
Yeah, I don't know. I'm going to guess so.
I mean, obviously it seems like most of the partnership between WWE and TNA will be between...
like it has been between the NXT and TNA roster.
I'm going to guess that the last few months with them doing that a lot
is kind of like a vetting period to see whether they would sign a deal with each other.
But I'm sure we're going to see more.

(13:16):
Hopefully, I'd love to see Matt and Jeff on WWE TV again.
It also opens up the door for them to be put in the Hall of Fame as well
now that they're under contract with another company,
but they're in business with that company.
Yeah, we could see some...
I mean, there are so many potential insane ideas that could happen.

(13:43):
Yeah, opens up a lot, possibly.
Looking at...
And I mean, let's be honest, I mean, there's a lot of TNA superstars,
TNA wrestlers, TNA years.
I don't know what they call themselves.
I don't think they use the term superstars.
I don't even know if WWE doesn't really...

(14:05):
I think they're just wrestlers.
I think they're just TNA wrestlers.
But there's a lot of former WWE stars that are in TNA
and have been for a while, which makes me instantly think,

(14:27):
how long has this been going on?
It was really, really interesting seeing how many people left WWE
and went to TNA.
I mean, I'm still there and now could potentially...
I mean, Nick Nemeth, Nick and Ryan Nemeth are facing the FRAXIUM

(14:50):
for the NXT tag team title.
So that's Dolph Ziggler facing current WWE talent in TNA.
For a WWE Championship in TNA, which is wild.
And another one, which is quite funny, is AJ Francis,
which is top dollar, who obviously got released and now he's in TNA.

(15:11):
Right.
Yeah, so it's like, Brian Myers is over there, you've got Matt Cardona.
There's a lot of...
Yeah, I mean, Matt Cardona's everywhere.
But he's consistently...
That's another...
I mean, Matt Cardona's the wild card of everything
because he just shows up anywhere.
He can literally be anywhere, yeah.
Yeah.

(15:32):
He could be here right now.
He could be.
If he was, we probably legally couldn't talk about it.
No, probably not.
And it would kind of seem like we kind of took him hostage or something.
Right.
Yeah, exactly.
Because why would he be at either of our houses?

(15:53):
Yeah.
He has more likely chance of being at yours than mine, but...
Probably, yeah, being in America.
Yeah.
But you never know, he's everywhere.
He's always ready.
Yeah.
He's always ready.
We'll get...
That'll be...
Maybe that's a goal for this year.
We need to get some more interviews.

(16:14):
Yeah, I mean, if we can do that, that'd be amazing.
If we put something out there into the world, we can get that moving.
Yeah, we've got a lot of things on our 2025 bucket list to accomplish this year.
Yeah, definitely.
With this podcast, and I think we're just going to do them.
He's going to do everything.

(16:35):
Hell yeah.
We're going to do it all.
And on that note, how's about we talk about Royal Rumble 2025?
Yeah.
First of all, first, before we even start, we're going to get into the information.

(16:58):
I mean, I've got it pulled up.
Let's talk about the poster.
Let's talk about the Royal Rumble...
Yeah, it's a cool poster, right?
...provisional poster.
It is a cool poster, except it's got some glaring things about it that are questionable.
Mainly the fact that Gunter, Rhea Ripley, and Solo Sokoa are on the poster, but did not appear in the event at all.

(17:26):
That's true.
I mean, I can give a pass to Gunter and Rhea because they are champions, and obviously the
Rumble is for their championships, but Solo, yeah, totally...
Oh yeah, it's always weird.
I mean, I know obviously, Karr is subject to change, but it's always odd to me.
It's just odd when you see people on the promo poster that didn't have anything to do with the event.

(17:54):
Yeah, yeah.
And they could have, with the way digital media and everything works, they could have updated that.
Yeah, I mean, I...
It's one of those little nitpicky things.
I've always got to find, WWE is so good at everything that they do.
There has to be a kink in the armor somewhere.

(18:19):
Yeah.
And it usually falls on the poster having a superstar that doesn't appear in the event.
Right.
That's like one of the last glaring things that my OCD brain will always take note of.
But it is a...
But it's great.
I mean, it's a good...

(18:41):
It's a well-designed artwork.
Yeah, it's a really cool poster for sure.
Yeah.
All right, let's get into some...
No, I won't because I just crossed off the damn tab.
Give me a second.
Yo!
What a snafu.
Get it back.
All right, here we go.
So, 2025 Royal Rumble also promoted as the Royal Rumble Indianapolis.

(19:08):
It came from Jesus Christ, came live from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana,
marking as the first Royal Rumble to not take place during the month of January.
So that's quite interesting.
Yeah, February 1st.
Just barely, barely just outside of January being in February 1st.

(19:32):
Which, you know, which all makes sense considering they had the Netflix premiere at the beginning of January.
They had a Saturday Night's Main Event right before...
Need a bit of time.
And you were so...
I think it makes sense because you've got that...
It spreads it out a bit more evenly with Elimination Chamber coming between now and WrestleMania as well.

(19:56):
I think it's a good spread.
I think so.
I don't think there was...
You know, I don't even think there was people on the internet saying stupid things like they normally do about it being in February.
You know, it's in February, it's not in January.
How could they...
People didn't even care about that.

(20:19):
Because, you know, the internet whining community had plenty of other things to constantly complain about.
They didn't bother complaining about the Royal Rumble being in February.
We'll get into...
We won't even get into what the...
Well, it'll probably come up because, you know, whenever I get fired up, I gotta, you know...

(20:42):
So, we've got to let loose.
Yes, it was in the Lucas Oil Stadium.
It actually marks this Royal Rumble as being the first Royal Rumble to be held in a football stadium.
I think the last few times they've been in a stadium, they've been baseball stadiums.
So that's interesting.
Correct.
So it is the largest attended Royal Rumble in history at 70,347 people.

(21:04):
Yes.
So, again...
And that number is definitely including all of the staff and people in attendance.
The attendance is the number of people in the building.
Yeah.
Not the number of tickets sold.
The tickets, I mean, I believe they said something about like...
It was 65,000.

(21:26):
Yeah.
Because also that takes into account comps, tickets...
Yeah.
And I have seen a few people moaning about this, but listen, why are WWE gonna lie about 5,000 people?
65,000 and 70,000 people.
Both are impressive.
It doesn't matter how much we worked when it is.
It is.
Because, you know what, people can complain about it, but they're just ignoring the literal language.

(21:52):
This is what we talk about this all the time.
Yeah.
You know, we've mentioned words matter.
The words that you use to describe things matter.
It is technically correct.
The attendance is the amount of people in the building.
That includes Michael Cole is one of those 70,347.
Yeah.
Roman Reigns is one of those 70,347.

(22:13):
Yeah.
When you've got all the talent, all the production crew, all of the rigors, all of the press,
all of the...
Which...
Yeah.
Which adds up.
Which also makes it impressive when you think there are literally thousands of people.
To go into putting an event on like this.
Yeah.
All of the staff that work at the stadium, you know, security, stewards.

(22:38):
Yeah.
Now the guys outside in the parking garage, you know, directing traffic, they probably
weren't counted amongst those because they were not in the building.
Right.
Yeah.
But you never know.
They might have been in the premises.
They might have to come in the building to clock in.
Yeah, you go.
Right.
They might count.
We'll get Danny the Brain Bowman on that.

(23:00):
Yeah, to do fact check on that one a little bit.
Fact check exactly who gets counted in the attendance.
And before we get into the matches, just another little quick factor.
I didn't even know this until just now.
Both...
This was both the longest women's and men's Royal Rumble matches in history.
The women's Royal Rumble match rocked in at one hour, seven minutes and 47 seconds.

(23:25):
And the men's was a huge one hour, 20 minutes and 15 seconds.
And if I'm not mistaken, the Royal Rumble always being the longest match in normally.
Wait, that's not...
This might be the longest WWE...
No, that's gotta be...
That's gotta be longer.
It's gotta be longer than that.
Well, one hour, 20 minutes.
No, no, no.

(23:46):
One hour.
The women's rumble?
What was the time?
One hour, seven minutes.
That's...it's gotta be longer than that because that was Roxanne Perez's...
Roxanne Perez was in the rumble for one hour, seven minutes and 47 seconds.
And she was number three.
Hold on, yeah.
Which means she came out after...at least after a minute.
So it's gotta be at least one hour and eight minutes.

(24:09):
Oh, right, yeah, you're right.
But that's a record.
Oh, sorry, no.
I messed that up.
I messed that up.
So the...sorry, the women's rumble was one hour, ten minutes and twenty seconds.
There we go, there we go.
Yeah, right, there we go.
I just misread.
It doesn't...I don't know whether that's the longest women's rumble of all time, but that's definitely the longest men's rumble.

(24:32):
But being the fact that it is an hour, twenty, fifteen seconds...
Yeah.
That probably is likely the longest WWE match in history.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because, yeah, there's never been...because there's never been any other match, any other...a one hour Iron Man match is one hour.

(24:54):
Yeah, unless it goes to overtime and that's only normally ever like five to ten minutes, so...
And that's only...yeah, and I think that's only ever happened once.
So I think we just witnessed the longest match in WWE history.
Yeah.
Look at that.
We're gonna go with that.
We're going with that.
Wow.
And if anybody else...anybody...if anybody can corroborate or what's the opposite of, you know, that...

(25:21):
Prove us wrong.
Prove us wrong, yeah.
Prove us surprised.
And I would like to be...
Let's do it.
If there is another match out there longer than...not in outside the company, I know that there have been some company...
I know GCW during the pandemic did a...like a charity event where they did a match for like four hours or something like that.
That makes...
Yeah, like two wrestlers wrestled for like four hours.

(25:44):
But like...
That's wild.
I didn't know about that.
Yeah, so that makes...yeah, that's cool.
But inside of the WWE, like, I don't think there's ever been a longer match in this, so...
No.
But if you think there is, tell us.
Yeah, because I really would like to know.
In the comments on social media, on Facebook, on Instagram, on threads at Punkstalk Wrestling,
or, you know, go to our YouTube at punkstalkre...at youtube.com slash punkstalkre wrestling.

(26:07):
Or, you know, sign up to our Patreon at patreon.com slash punkstalkre wrestling.
Tell us there, too.
All the shout-outs.
Anyway, before we get into...
You were a bunch of on-screen personalities to tell me about.
I do have a bunch of on-screen personnel.
You know who we've got on the English commentators?
We've got Michael Cole, Pat McAfee, and Wade Barrett.
Look at Wade Barrett getting a major paper...

(26:30):
Yeah, there's a lot of controversy going on with Corey Graves.
I mean, he's been put on NXT and he had to do something to stay on social media.
We're definitely going to get into that at some point when, you know, when all that work pays off.
Yeah, something's happening.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

(26:51):
Spanish commentators Marcello Rodriguez and Jerry Soto, ring announcer Alicia Taylor.
They did a great job.
Referes to Nilo and...Oh, she did...Yeah, she did a great job.
Um...Rar, rar, rar, rar...
Rrraarr, rrraarr, rrraarr...
Referee!
Danylo Enfimio, Sean Bennett, Jessica Cardin,
Anglid, Daphne Lee, Sean, Eddie Orango, Chad Patton, Charles Robertson, Ryan Tran, and Rod Zapada.

(27:14):
All the referees got used.
Interviews like...Yeah, every single...
I think that's every single referee.
It has to be. I guess they were all the ringside for watching the eliminations.
Right. And we'll get into it later,
into it later, but let's just let's just nip this in the bud right now. The referee's decision is always final.
Yep, ladies and gentlemen. The referee's decision is always final and if the referee says only one foot touched

(27:40):
Then only one foot touch
No one foot touched. I don't care what you think you saw. And if you say it's not realistic
then you clearly haven't watched English football where they do video replays and
They still fuck up referees. They just ignore it. Yeah, they just ignore it. Okay. They look straight at it and be like, nope
No, yeah, anyway. Yeah, we'll get to that. We'll get to that interviewers by Kathy Kelly and Byron Saxton. By the way

(28:06):
Let's just let's just take a moment. I think we need to take a minute here and
and appreciate
the the
What Kathy Kelly is bringing to the internet
Which is just straight up fire
Kathy Kelly is out here turning up the turn up the heat and

(28:31):
And you know, it's January and she's just making everyone sweat
Shout out to Kathy Kelly just for
Being bold the the lowest lane inspired outfit
Yeah, just
Goddamn god damn Kathy Kelly you're okay, though and Byron Saxon to hey man Byron Saxton looks good all the time by

(28:57):
And Saxon looks great smile
Dude Byron Saxton. I'd like for real man. I any time you see him
He's never not
Just happy to be be where he is like he loves
Being Byron Saxton and he should it's a good-looking dude

(29:18):
Got a great smile
Like his dentist should be really proud of his you know
Keeps his teeth, you know pearly white and and beautifully in line
He's so sharp he shop is so sharp pre-show panel by Jackie Redmond big E Joe Tessitore Peter Rosenberg
And Bob Aray Dudley. Yeah Bob Aray Dudley on the pre-show panel

(29:43):
Just showing up for things
Randomly I guess I don't know like I I don't know what you know what let me just click on this right now because I'm not really sure
What his well, you know, I've noticed you know, I've noticed since
Are they go?
It looks like they're signed under a legends contract currently, but oh he's got a legend

(30:04):
He's got the legends. I will say since triple H has taken over
There's a lot of wrestlers that are appearing on TV be it one off from pre-shows that aren't actually signed to the WWE
They're just there on a one-off payment kind of situation, which I think it's quite yeah
They just show that
Yeah, it's just like hey man
You want to you want to come to the rumble and talk on the pre-show

(30:26):
And what I was so about the pay-per-views at the moment
Why wouldn't you is we had it with Netflix and we had it with the rumble, but they there's always
Be it celebrities or Hall of Famers like they they show them in the front row and everything like that. I love it
I think it's great
I think it's a really cool way of just giving it a really quick nod to some Hall of Famers like at the rumble

(30:47):
We had like Ron Simmons
Yeah
Also, also Bob Bob Bob Aray and D-Von have a have a you know a big a big history in TNA as well
They do yeah, you know so
So that's pretty good and and Bob Aray's got he's got his own podcast. He doesn't do the D-Von has his own as now as well

(31:10):
Yeah, I just saw D-Von. I was I got halfway through the
D-Von
D-Von on
Taker's podcast. I've been I've been binging a lot of I've been binging a lot of
interviews and podcast interviews. I think I've mentioned to you and Danny the brain. Yeah, I was

(31:31):
Watching any any interview with any interview with the wise man
You know we I've just I've just been
ingesting as much as possible
His I'll tell you what man his his pre rumble
interview with Logan Paul. Oh
Yeah, it was great. That was great was phenomenal

(31:51):
The the pet the other one CM punk on the Pat McAfee show
Stephanie man they said yeah, Stephanie McMahon is great
Like I you know these guys these guys are out here. These guys are out here putting in so much work
Getting so many eyes on the really cool time as well because

(32:13):
Unlike in in history
We you know we have wrestlers go on and have interviews like the curtains fully back now near enough like they are
They'll still go in these interviews and talk clearly that they're playing a role. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah
Which yeah, I mean triple H triple H came out and just said it at the last at the one lot press conference or whatever

(32:33):
He's like he's like man. We're not we're not
Hiding what we do and who we are like this is that and they've been working towards ever since they started the press
Conferences stuff last year. Yeah, you know, they've been really they've been
Slowly pulling it back and I'm glad they did it and I'm glad they did it over the course of

(32:54):
Time and the time and transition into this into this new era. Yeah, they've been executing with with just
Precision marketing, you know everything is everything I think by I think by marketing
Theirselves as exactly what it is. I think it may it helps people that don't watch

(33:15):
Wrestling take it a little bit more seriously because they're not because wrestling isn't taking itself too seriously in the fact in this aspect
Yeah, they're pretending that it's real
But you know what else it what else what else they're doing when they and they are just they've always been good at it
I mean they did let like people you want you want to poop who it or whatever, you know when

(33:35):
When they changed the names from
Professional wrestlers to sports entertainers. Yeah, like
Yeah
Yeah, but but but what you can't do is say that it didn't work in
Separating them from everyone else. Yeah, we're putting ourselves

(33:57):
We're we are we are making sure you understand
We're not we're not like everyone and we are different. Yeah in a way that because what we are trying to present is
more than just
In ring fight it if all it was and it's great
It's great the the the places that do it that that's what they focus on

(34:20):
The only thing that matters is what happens in between the ropes and you just want to put two guys out there
Yeah, and you just want to run around and
Have a have a match with no story or build up or
No cohesive anything. It's fine. You like there that that's great for people that love that shit, but I love

(34:41):
The separation of this into its own. It's you know the WWE universe is its own universe
That's why I thought the universal title was such an what's such an interesting
Use of language. Yeah, yeah, because they were separating themselves from they were literally separating themselves from the rest of the world of

(35:02):
Professional yeah, they were taking a bit from Marvel there and putting their this in its own universe
Yeah, they're making it's a spectacle. Yeah, it is it is it is it is
You know
It's theater. Yeah, and it's and it's okay for it to be that and I understand why

(35:23):
Certain people don't like it and that's fine. Just don't watch it and shut the fuck up
You know, but I think that's I think that's you know what I do notice like now like if I mentioned to someone that doesn't watch wrestling
I do watch wrestling. I don't get the same response that I used to anymore the response I get now is just like, okay, cool like or

(35:43):
You know, it did no one considers it
Yeah, I don't know it's considered a lot to watch it in your resting is definitely a lot cool
It certainly is but there there's still there is still
There's still a there's still this weird subsection of people who just don't get it and and you know what and triple H

(36:06):
I think I think it was triple it. No, no, it was Stephanie
It was Stephanie on the Pat McAfee show that mentioned like that you hear when people talk about when whenever you
Hear somebody, you know make it make it just a random comment on social media like you know, it's all fake, right?
I'm like, dude
Shut the fuck up like yeah, man. I'm 47 years old really aware

(36:28):
I know I'm fully aware of what it is. I've been fully aware of what it is for decades like
You're you're not you're not surprising me. You're not surprising. Oh my god. What are
You telling me that you telling me the undertaker is not really a dead guy and these guys like come on like

(36:51):
like
It just like what she says is like it just shows it just shows their own ignorance
Yeah, in that you don't know
You really do you really just don't even know what you're talking about exactly and and and I think we finally got to this point
Where we just we just flat out ignore those people, you know, we just we just shut them down like it's it doesn't affect

(37:12):
You're not you're you're not being clever or funny. You're just being dumb exactly
You're literally just being stupid. You're showing your own ass when when you say when you say stupid shit like that exactly
But man, it's just it's it's great. It's great. I don't know why we went off to I went on a tangent
Anyway, first match of the night is the women's

(37:36):
Right
What are we saying about this? I mean I what do we want? Yeah?
How do we want we just want to go I mean when it gets go down the go down the entrance
Or what's it over overall
It's just an overall thing will be here all day if he went through every single entry
But I'm gonna I'm gonna have the thing open here so I can see who came in yeah, I think I might have enjoyed

(37:58):
I as a whole I enjoyed the women's wear rumble more than I actually enjoyed the men's I bet I think
my my excitement levels peaked more in
The last 20 minutes of the rent men's wear rumble, but I think yeah this match was better and more enjoyable overall
It just entertained kind of solidly all throughout and I think that was a big thanks to people like

(38:23):
Chelsea Green who literally gave so much entertainment for like the first half an hour of that match
Yeah, yeah
and
And you know what I don't I don't care what I don't care what anyone says. Oh did you oh did you watch for all last night?

(38:43):
I have seen I've seen raw besides the very very end. I literally got the last match to watch oh
Oh shit, okay. Well
So but you saw the you saw the altercation with Rhea Ripley and I did with Charlotte. Yeah, okay. Oh and yeah, sorry
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the the re yeah the rea rea accidentally disqualifying I did yeah

(39:05):
There's been a lot of there's a lot of you going back to Chelsea Green getting you know Chelsea Green got
inadvertently eliminated by by her
Yeah, hi Pernivin and and yes, there's there's there's been quite a few of those things happening and that's okay
like it's there's so much chaos going on that it is

(39:27):
understandable that
Friends have accidentally hit each other and like caused problems. That's not a problem like I saw people complaining about
Rear you know rea disqualifying you know getting EO disqualified and like oh everybody's just everybody's just
accidentally hitting their friends like

(39:48):
So what yeah, it happens. There's a lot going on. Yeah, especially in a real rumble match come on like that happens every year
I mean, I mean yeah, I'm Jay you so like Jay you so in a but the eliminated Sami Zayn. That's his friend
He didn't mean to do it. Yeah, as they always say every year with a rumble like it's every man for themselves or every woman for themselves
and should happen and like why why you what like I

(40:12):
Know I say this I'm like why are you nitpicking that when I'm the one nitpicking the poster, but see that's but see that's different
I'm different. I have the microphone
But also that's a thing that you can actually change like you can I'm only I'm only making a constructive criticism on on something to
Do
Something that can something that can be done right this is this that's all part of it's all part of it's all part of the story

(40:37):
Yeah, you know that inadvertent eliminations happen. It's cool. It's not a big deal
You don't have to get you know so upset about it. It was good. I think I think though I think the whole I think that's gonna set up
That might set up a great
something something great between EO and
and

(40:57):
I
Rear Ripley well, yeah
You know, let's let's see that match. Let's see like EO EO should be pissed
Exactly, she should take it out. I think it's take it out on rear Ripley
Yeah, I mean end of the day when you've got a little you know, there's two friends
They're not you know, then there's no issue there, but it's just like

(41:18):
It's it can it's something is like that can set up set the seed for something even in a year from now
Like if you just they also sold it real so sold it so well, so it's so well. Yeah, but yeah, the women's rumble
I mean we had
Much more than the men's we had a lot more we had like five
Superstars from NXT a two Hall of Famous right we had no we had zero NXT superstars

(41:41):
Oh, you know in a yeah in the actual men's room in the men's but we had which was crazy
Yeah, the rocks and although rocks and prayers lash legend Jada Parker Stephanie Vecura and Julia all in the women's room
Huge huge showing from NXT women. Yeah
We also had return Alexa Bliss returned

(42:04):
Yeah, that was amazing and the best and the best Michael Cole the best Michael Cole quote of the night
When he just like jumps up and shouts, but the internet told me she wasn't coming back
That's I didn't even hear that that's amazing. Oh, you know you missed that. Oh god. Yeah, I think I oh
Yeah, oh he was he was he was what I loved that like that was that was just brilliant

(42:28):
That's such a good line the internet told me she wasn't coming back
Fuck you know
Well, here's what it was great seeing Trish status
It's always great seeing Trish status like let's be honest. It's it's it's always good to have a Hall of Famer show up
It's always good
me personally I

(42:48):
Couldn't give two shits about the Bellas like yet me person. This is me personally, but I am I am a 47 year old dude
You're a 37 year old dude
Right you're 37
36 36
Anyway, anyway, but like it's just not
The Bellas never were for me

(43:09):
So so it's okay for me to not care about Nikki Bella, but obviously her pop your pop was undeniable
If you know, I can't I'm not I'm not I'm certainly not a person that's gonna deny what I see in here with my own eyes and ears
Oh, definitely
I just you know, I think with the Bellas
I think she represents a time in wrestling that we would all it was very sorry for women's wrestling that we would soon forget

(43:32):
Yeah, and you know and that's and maybe and maybe that that's also part of it like
It just it does it didn't resonate. Oh, it didn't resonate with me. That's fine
It doesn't have to not everything not everything is for me
Not every single thing that happens in WWE has to be you know exactly what I want it to be I can still enjoy it
I'm still you know Charlotte Flair is our winner

(43:56):
I think
I
Don't remember what we I don't know. I don't remember what we predicted
I
Know I wanted Bailey to be a two-time winner. I wanted I wanted her to I wanted her to have my prediction
My prediction was Charlotte Flair, but I did say caviar
I

(44:18):
Did I could see her winning it, but I didn't want her to win it
Yeah, I also and I and I 100% understand why
I
Won because she is Charlotte Flair
But by the by the reaction of the crowd in Cleveland on Raw
It seems like I wasn't the only one that didn't really want her to win it right

(44:38):
But also, but that is also what you are supposed to but I will say you're getting I will say though like
Obviously she went out there and was trying to obviously cut a face promo and by her reaction when she won the Rumble on Sunday
You would think that she was a face because everyone cheered but I think yeah
I think they're playing they played her off as a face

(45:00):
But I think it seemed like to me that Charlotte on that promo on Raw just
She just oh she was playing. Oh, she was playing everybody. She I think she just turned heel on the fly
I think she went out there with the intention of
Cutting a bit of a face promo and quickly found out that she was gonna get booed so she just
Turned herself here on the win. Well, and I and it would it would not surprise me if that was if that was the plan

(45:26):
like and the plan being
Go out start with the face start with your start with the face like start with the the true
Happy to be back the the true
What had happened, you know being gone and
Missing missing this and all that because that is true. Yeah, and it's understandable

(45:47):
but also
lean into it's it's Charlotte flair and
People love to hate Charlotte flair people hate you show that right there
You can hate to you can hate to love her or you can love to hate her, but she is Charlotte flair and she is
Whether whether you believe she is the best
You know professional wrestler ever that she says or if you just believe or if you don't like she is one of the best

(46:15):
she is in the discussion of greatest
Performers of professional wrestling what she does and and what she can do in the ring is
Exceptional
I used to be a big Charlotte flair hater for for quite a while, but it's just it's undeniable and

(46:37):
You can call it nepotism you can there there are certainly people online
Especially on threads and where I'm where I'm probably I'm primarily on threads now for the most part
It's just a more healthy environment for me to be in for the most part
Unless you get me on unless you get me on a Spotify rant then a lot of then then some people don't really like me

(46:59):
Which is fine. I heal I'll heal out about it all all the time
She's Charlotte flair like I think you could have pulled the nepotism card if you know before
But I think too many years have passed now for it to be that I think she's made a made a name for herself
And she's too bad it's it's not it's not nepotism

(47:21):
when you're just that good like
nepotism is
nepotism is
giving someone who doesn't deserve it the spot and
And and literally can't you know literally can't do it
Yeah, but yet but yet they get it anyway, and it's just and it's just not true

(47:42):
It's just not true with Charlotte flair. She she's oh she has overcome the nepotism through her proof of her through her body of work
Yeah, you know
anyway, Charlotte flair is your winner of
She was in the she was in the match for 15 minutes and four seconds. She had four eliminations the second

(48:03):
Largest number of eliminations of the night
Yeah, and Charlotte flair is going to WrestleMania and she's gonna
I don't know
I love the fact that she's flat-out said she's going to she's going to NXT tonight
She's going to Smackdown and she's gonna see who inspires her. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I

(48:23):
Love I love the promo that she cut with with Rhea on raw
basically just like oh
You're still a kid. You know oh it was so good. I mean it was good
Promo and also
Charlotte is the first ever two-time
Women's were a rumble winner as well. Yep, cuz no one's done it two times before her. Yeah also and again as much as I want

(48:50):
Bailey I wanted Bailey to win
I
There's a different there's there's a different story going there's a different story that's gonna go with her
And I think it's gonna be and I think it'll still be centered around not winning this year and more so
Winning last year and not even and not having a main event match
Yeah, there's a there's a

(49:12):
Bailey still has a lot to give to the WWE and I'm and I'm excited to see it
Um, yeah, but I'm still you know, I'll forever be a Bailey buddy
But you know that ages, right?
Anyway, congratulations Charlotte flair winner of the 2025

(49:33):
Royal rumble
One of the two one of the two Royal rumbles. Oh, yeah
Next up we had
Motion see machine gun ice did it again. You did it again. It's been a month and you're still
I
So I did again
We're just gonna we're just gonna we're just gonna call a motion city

(49:54):
I was gonna call a motion-sitting machine guns from now. Yeah
We saw the motor city machine guns versus DIY for detecting championships in the two out three falls match a
Good 14 minute long match here. Yeah
Some people think that was too short for two out of three falls some people might have

(50:14):
I
Think on a card with a
WWE Championship match and also to
Two of the longest row rumble matches of all time. I think it was yeah, honestly time for it
Also, I would I would like to I would like people to go back and watch, you know
classic two out of three fall matches and

(50:35):
Take it take a you know, take a peek at some of their run times. That's
14 minutes is not really
that short in
Comparison and especially when you consider
The type of match that you have to have yeah for it to be
For it to be a good two out of three falls match and it was it was a great two out of three falls match

(51:00):
In comparison to two out of three falls matches. Yeah. Yeah, you know what it look at it for what it is
Not not for what it's not the first fall the the the fake out tag
With Gargana and Champa. I know it was like I know it was fast
I know it was some people might have overlooked it but that but that was a genius move like that was yeah

(51:22):
That's good. That's good. I think that's what it is great tag team wrestling. It's something that you don't see
Yeah, and they pulled and it was a quick, you know pull the wool over him
the end result with
you know
with the street profits getting involved and essentially
causing

(51:43):
Causing motor city machine guns to lose
Just so that they because they want to beat DIY. I mean
You can you can think one way or another about it, but I think it's but I think it was a creative way of of
reintroducing street profits as

(52:05):
as heels
like a straight up like in a way in a way there their heels, but they're also
fighting the other heels now, right like
They're just they're just they're just fuck you fuck you fuck everybody like fuck all y'all
like
And and I kind of and I kind of and I dig it because they're

(52:28):
Because they're doing what what I think people wanted them to do when they were like
When they teamed up with Bobby Lashley momentarily and that just didn't work. Yeah
Now they can finally just be ruthless, you know
And I'm looking forward to seeing what happens

(52:52):
I'm looking forward to to a
A new heel championship run by those guys like
Street profits have been street profits have been putting in a lot of good work over over the years and they yeah
They definitely need a fresh coat of paint. So this is pretty quite quite this kind of what they need to be honest

(53:12):
Yeah, I'm gonna say about that match. It was a good match
great match
Next up was Cody Rhodes versus Kevin Owens for the
Yeah, I want to talk about a great ship in a ladder match. Yeah, great match
Yeah, which ended up it's go. There's some really brutal spots in this match. Yeah
Yeah, definitely do those dudes those dudes know how those dudes know how to sell spots. I know I

(53:39):
Kevin Owen Kevin Owens knows how knows how to make things look painful. I mean they are painful
I mean the book but but devastating
Yeah, it's kind of crazy like Kevin Owens like to a lesser extent obviously, but he kind of reminds me in ways of
McFody because I feel like he can just throw himself at

(53:59):
Yeah, I these really crazy bumps, but never really get hurt that bad. He you know, he's
He's got a little extra cushion, you know, yeah, like it's okay
You know little little extra cushion for the cushion for the spot pushing, you know, yeah
He did yeah

(54:21):
This is a good way of putting it
Yeah, the superplex off the top rope onto the onto the ladder which kind of knocked out both Kevin and
Yeah, and Cody which brought out all of the doctors and everything that was that was cool
I I do love seeing like the extra bounce, you know great granted. I'm not I'm not gonna
I'm not gonna say oh it didn't hurt because it didn't hurt as nearly as much because like the ring rope the ring rope

(54:46):
Bounces though it cushions the fall like yeah. Yeah, it does
But you're still you're still hitting a ladder with parts of your body at a speed that you shouldn't be hitting a ladder with those
Parts of your body you should be hitting your body with a ladder in the first place. Yeah, you shouldn't be yeah
Your body shouldn't be hitting ladders it hurt it
But but it's but it's great that they can find ways to make spots

(55:10):
Look more devastating and do them in the most in the safest possible way like
Like I mean that that the last spot the the Alabama slam through the ladder like with Kevin
Oh, it's just crumpling in half like
There I know yes, I know that hurts. I know that that that hurts so much

(55:34):
Yeah, the way they did it to be able to do it in the safest possible way and still make it look
As devastating as it's absolutely brutal just fucking genius man like these guys are just fucking geniuses of pain
Yeah
Man, yeah, Alabama slam onto the ladder at the end was absolutely like he I

(56:01):
Don't know how you take anything like that. I don't know how you basically nearly land on your top of your head. Yeah
Obviously, I had some had some color in that we had a bit of blood and
Fuck man, I like it's hard to talk about it's I
Wish I wish you what I wish you'd seen the end of raw

(56:24):
No, yeah, well, I
Literally I've got half an hour more to watch so yeah, well, we'll talk about what we'll bring it back
Yeah, we'll talk about it next week. We'll bring it back next week. Yeah, but I'm back next week
Yeah, I'm loving Kevin Owens at the moment. He's just being brutal. He's being ruthless
He's being the Kevin Owens that we we got when he debuted in NXT when he was yeah when he attacked Sami Zayn that was

(56:46):
peak
Kevin Owens from the get-go and he was he's
Boy, I feel like I've got something in store for myself
So I know man, I'm sorry my laughing I shouldn't be laughing as much. I don't want to I don't want to inadvertently
I'm sorry. I mean, I can't it's hard. It's hard. I just I can't wait. I can't wait

(57:10):
All right great match. No
Well, we'll get to that in a minute. Let's get to my favorite match of the night
For obvious reasons the men's Royal Rumble match. Yeah, you're down right. Of course, of course, of course

(57:30):
It's a best man. I mean, I mean I it is hard for me not to say
That the Royal Rumble match is not my favorite match every year like
It's just in its own it because it doesn't compare up to any other match. Yeah, it's so unique
It's not like a pinfall, you know match. It's not a singles match like it kind of goes with this own

(57:54):
Territory it is one of any wrestling fans favorite night of the year. Yeah, it's fun to watch
like
Even Heather actually she was saying like she's obviously not a wrestling fan
But like she was like if she was ever to go to the States to see any pay-per-view or PLE
It would be the Royal Rumble because it's
It's just a fun event. It's just hey man. I mean, I mean, I would not be surprised if we see a Royal Rumble in London

(58:23):
I mean it kind of needs to happen with the only thing that's Royal going on in the world at the moment
That's yeah, we've got a royal family down it. Why should we should?
I I I mean, I don't know I don't know where next year. I think I think next year has already been confirmed
I think I think here is confirmed. I think let me just check that
But it would be the first row. Yes next year next year the Royal Rumbles in Riyadh. Oh, yeah

(58:46):
We get yeah, that's right. We get we get Royal Rumble in Riyadh Saudi Arabia next year
And I don't care what I really don't care what anybody says about it
The shows are great and and it's great for the fans. I honestly don't care
As long as the along as these shows aren't happening in North Korea and maybe Russia

(59:07):
I'm good. I'm good with it. Yeah. Yeah, they can happen anywhere they want. Yeah
I mean, there's probably a couple of places where they probably can't like I
Don't I don't want to have the Royal Rumble in Antarctica
like that yeah, although
I don't know
I don't know if any wrestling company has ever done that before I don't know if there's

(59:28):
Yeah, I mean that would be
Metallica did a gig and Metallica played a show in Antarctica. Oh, that's right. They did
Yeah, I mean the only band in the world to ever play every continent in the world. So that's right. That is right. They did just just to do it
So WWE should
Do one show there to be the only wrestling company in the world. I mean, I don't know if there's any

(59:49):
They should do one show there to be the only wrestling company to ever hold an event on every continent in the world
Yeah, has WWE
Has WWE held a major event in in south they haven't done South America yet
I mean, they've done tours of South America. Oh, yeah, but
So they've they've held an event right be a house show. It doesn't matter like sure. Yeah, that's true

(01:00:11):
I'm pretty sure they've held an event in every continent in the world besides Antarctica. I'm pretty I'm pretty sure
I mean, I don't I don't remember what but I'm pretty sure they've been to Brazil
You know, they've been to plenty. Yeah, they've been to South America plenty. They've been to obviously Asia plenty
Yeah, Europe
Obviously Australia
Yeah, North America. They've done. They've they I'm pretty sure they've been in they've been to Africa. I'm pretty calm

(01:00:35):
I'll have to check that
I'm gonna have to check that but I'm pretty sure they have
Yeah
Yeah, anyway, the but anyway the world match
Um, yeah, we started starting off the rumble with
The two greatest luchadors of all time
Ray Mysterio and star I was I was uh, obviously as I said, I watched this we're rumble with heather and obviously

(01:01:01):
You know explaining who pent was
And I was like, you know, he's like he's like the modern day Ray Mysterio and like everyone really wants to see him versus Ray Mysterio
But it's also kind of he's also kind of like he's got an evil like
Uh, I I I watched uh, I watched a documentary on him too. Where they talked about like his whole the whole

(01:01:22):
um
His whole character arc in lucha underground with
Vampiro and and if you notice he brought back the sacrifice the arm brake the arm breaker move
Um, yeah, she calls the sacrifice that was a big thing in lucha underground
Where basically he was just going around breaking everybody's arms
Um

(01:01:44):
That was part of his thing. Um, so great to great to see that man. Um, yeah
And uh, he was it penta was in the rumble for 42 minutes and five seconds
um, he was he was eliminated by uh, fin baller
Yeah, he was the uh, the iron man of the of the rumble match this year, which is great for him
Like I said, uh, I don't you know, don't know what don't know what people think they saw

(01:02:10):
Um, but the referee saw one foot hit the ground
That's it. That's what matters at the end of the day
It's all the man even michael col even michael col said it he said it on air that the referees said that it was one foot
And that's all that matters. I talk. I mean on threads. I was told I even told I even told landstorm
I was talking to let you know, uh, I wasn't talking to landstorm a comment storm wrestling academy on threads

(01:02:35):
Go, by the way, if you're on threads and you're not following storm wrestling academy
Go do it because not only does he talk about wrestling. He's just a really cool dude. Um
And just you know has a lot of good positive messages that it that he puts out in the world. He's a really really like positive
guy, um, so you should so you should uh

(01:02:59):
But he was but he you know, he he talked about it a little bit and I was just like, hey man referees decision is final
Exactly, you know
You know how it goes. It's it's the rule. It's the rules
doesn't matter, um
Yeah, um, love that they love that they instantly went into the storyline with chat gable, uh, and his and his hatred of lucha doors

(01:03:22):
Um
That was well done them verse. I mean carmelo haze is an elucidor, but he but he's kind of a fast paced flyer guy
um having having haze
Santos escobar penta and ray mysterio all team up all like beat down chat gable
That was that was pretty entertaining

(01:03:43):
Um, it was a well-written rumble. We had Otis come out who was obviously had his issue with the chat
So that was great, right? That was you know good. Good. I had like an all-time
Performance in this right. He's only in there for 22 minutes, but the the things he did in this match. Oh man
I mean the spear

(01:04:04):
He did an ish o speed
was
Dude, that was it's the most brutal spear. I think I've ever seen in my life. I was concerned
I was really I was genuinely concerned for his well-being and and his ribs because hit by a car
He actually looked like he got hit by a car. He wasn't like and it wasn't even straight on like he was when he turned around

(01:04:26):
A sight when his hip. Yeah. Yeah, because I feel like I feel like he turned around like the long way
By the way shout out to the long way my uh my solo single available anywhere that you can download. Oh, yeah, look at that
That was that was a smooth collaborate there. Yeah, right just kind of slid that in
And yeah, he turned around
He was facing the hard camera and then he turned clockwise

(01:04:47):
You know, yeah 270 degrees and he didn't quite make the full rotation
He got hit like kind of in the side a little bit maybe or maybe that was just maybe that was
Let me tell you something in in residential streets in the uk
The speed limit is 20 miles per hour
Because they say that anything over 20 miles per hour can kill someone if they get hit

(01:05:08):
And if he's running the ropes at 23 miles per hour, he got like hit
Faster than the speed limit of residential areas in the uk school zone school zone in america is 15 miles an hour like right
that's like like that's illegal like
That he would get he would get a
Pulled over. Yeah, like he would get literally get pulled over and and put in jail

(01:05:32):
I guess you could say he was running that fast in a in a
In a school zone. I guess you could say that uh ishio speed got shown speed, huh? Yeah, I
You could say that you guess you could say that you could say that
And then you got thrown onto the analysis table by otis as well. That's right like it just

(01:05:53):
It's just and what and I don't even know why otis like
I don't even know why otis was so mad about it
like like
He was like otis was otis was eliminated by oh because I guess
I guess he kind of got eliminated. Oh, that's right. He partially got eliminated by ishio speed and brawnbreaker together
Yeah, so he got caught him and threw him the band michael kohl was so good because he

(01:06:16):
You didn't see anything. He just heard the come heard him speaking, but he's doing are you okay, sir? That's what he said
um also also the way that they the way that they had him enter by by
Oh, that was genius. I loved it. I thought yeah by having by having tizawa get get, you know knocked out by

(01:06:36):
um
By carmelo and then yeah following it like we were talking
Bradley and I were talking about it on like as it was comes like why are they following him to the back like what's going on?
Like yeah, it got to a point after just as he went past the curtain
I was like no this is they've gone too far to the back now something's obviously something something's up. Yeah, something's up and then
like

(01:06:57):
You just see triple h like are you okay? Can you compete and
And it carries like nodding his head, but his eyes are completely glazed over and he's like no
You can't go so and I didn't I they might have mentioned it
But he was literally live streaming at that time like he was
Yeah, so just the just the pure like

(01:07:23):
fluidity of
That liquid transition I'm gonna start calling I'm gonna start calling them liquid transitions. I'm pointing that phrase right now
liquid transition the the trademark
Production shot of the triple h era is yeah liquid trans. I like those long those yeah those long
There's long shots when you come back from the break and it's like a one long shot for like two minutes straight. It's great

(01:07:47):
I love that he's just go out there. You're in the rumble now
Yeah, he only the only person to compete in the Royal Rumble in Crocs
Yeah, yeah
So good
We had jacob far too in this match who again had an incredible showing in this match. Oh, shit, dude when he came out
I mean

(01:08:07):
The entire the entire mood changed
It did and it's so crazy that this guy has been in the wwe for
Not that long months and he's already got this this vibe about him like yeah
He is gonna be a megastar
Did you see the shot of the the clip of him that's been making the rounds now of last year him in the him in the crowd

(01:08:30):
The crowd yeah, I've yeah, I did and like just just you know just chanting and dancing to the usos
Yeah, what a guy man, man. Yeah, yeah, the thing is he's got such a huge only 32 years old and like
he is
Have you like he cuts a promo is so much passion man like he is

(01:08:51):
A star he's so intense at every word. He says I believe everything he says absolutely dude
That is a man. That is a man with conviction
Yeah, and it's it's great like I kind of in a way feel bad for solo and this is not saying solo is bad
of what he does but
when you've got
Jacob Fatou playing promos like that

(01:09:11):
it
It puts solo in his shadow a little bit because he's got so much intensity
And I think that I mean part of I think I think they knew
I I think they knew going
For a while
Yeah, how over jacob fatou was I mean instantly over instantly instantly over the moment he showed up

(01:09:33):
Everyone lost their fucking minds. I just get better and better solo solo versus jacob at at wrestlemania
I think that I think there's gonna like I don't know what they're gonna do with solo
for
But I think he's disappeared. He hasn't been around a couple of weeks. I think it's smart
But I think that's smart like yeah, you lost you lost your bid to become true

(01:09:56):
Tribal cheap to roman reigns you and and you just got to go away like lick your wounds
And and figure something out. I don't know where he goes from here
Um, you know what you I can I can tell you one place that he could go
So that would cause
an insane
amount of

(01:10:17):
Talk and that's tna
That would be really cool, wouldn't it just have just have jake and you can and you can and you can spin it any number of ways
You can spin it. You can spin it as him, you know as a heel
He got chased out of wwe by losing to and and now he's
And then just and let him and let him run rough shot over

(01:10:40):
You know over tna have had in have been faced joe hendry for the tna championship. Yeah, like do something like
There's there's a number of things you could do with him
Yeah, and still keep him and and keep him looking strong
Speaking of joe hendry
Yeah, joe hendry shows up number 15. That was great. That's the first time a tna

(01:11:02):
Men's world champion has turned up in the rumble. We've had a past few years where the women's have but
Yeah, that was really cool. He got his moment there. Uh, and he got to face off against a lot of big stars
Dude the the with when joe hend the with the shamest
um
thing like watching joe hendry and then getting mad at

(01:11:25):
Uh at jake of fatu
Oh, yeah, he was that is a joy. He was telling you he was enjoying that. I was enjoying that like why did you catch it?
I was like, why are you so mad all the time? Like what is wrong? What is wrong with you? Why are you so angry all the time?
Dude, that was just like
just some brilliant like
Like kind of kind like it's not even behind the curtain. I don't even know what you call that. It's just spontaneous like

(01:11:53):
Let's just play. Let's just have a moment here
Yeah, it is. I it's just ad-libbing honestly. I don't you know, I don't highly doubt that moment scripted
It's just a bit of fun to be honest
um
Yeah
Yeah, I mean oh and like jake of fatu fatu versus brawn breaker is a match that needs to happen like those two

(01:12:14):
They keep they keep I mean you saw them just look at each other and they wouldn't let they but they won't let them touch
Like no, they didn't they I don't think I don't think they laid hands on each other that whole I think I think I think
I'll stop before it could happen. It gets every time they got close
It got stopped there. They know exactly what they're doing. They're just yeah, they're just staring a fucking hole

(01:12:35):
You know, the row rumble is good for that. You can have a lot of face offs in a match
You can get a good reaction. Oh, I think we had brawn breaker and a Roman Reigns face off at one point, you know
So complete complete backup complete like rewind. I just want to go back to the world
I mean women's royal rumble for a moment and and and give some credit and give some additional credit to live Morgan
um

(01:12:55):
her her kicking uh
Lyra valkyria into the corner
Yeah, and then and then moving all the all the action over to the other end of the ring
While she was having that wardrobe malfunction to allow people to like that was brilliant. Yeah. Yeah, very good job. Yeah
That's a brilliant level of I don't know if that was her idea or someone

(01:13:17):
gave you know if someone
Made that call and told her whatever
What whoever made that call to make that happen that that awareness
It's a me by by watching it was what it looked like is live live Morgan noticed it
And was just like I just need to take her out into the corner. So she's yeah, I saw it out like and that was
Exactly what she did. Yep. Yep. Um, anyway, I just I just wanted I just wanted to make a note of that like

(01:13:42):
Because that kind of stuff happens and and you don't want you don't want something like that to completely pull you out of the moment
Yeah, um
but
now we you know
Reinforce reinforce those straps, you know on on the on the gear you got you gotta, you know, you got to you got a
You never know what could happen

(01:14:05):
Anyway, after Joe Henry Roman range was in there for quite a while. He's never 37 minutes
Which is yeah long actually for that. I mean that was that
Complete and that was that was the the the literal midway point that was right Roman Reigns was like the first like mega star
Honestly in this match of any way of potential winners for sure

(01:14:27):
Yeah, um and then from 20 onwards
Besides dirty Dominic Mysterio
Everyone was a banger
Like what the fuck you talking about dirty Dominic's not a banger dirty Dominic
Dude, he got he got some of the biggest heat
That dude is a fucking mega star
Uh, but AJ Styles made a return. We're Braun Strayer. Yeah, we got we got one AJ. We got one AJ return

(01:14:53):
Not the AJ not the AJ that was not the AJ you thought. Yeah, not the AJ I thought
But we did get an AJ return
But I guess the two bigger things to come out of this match is obviously, um
CM punk
Uh eliminating
Uh, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins from the match

(01:15:15):
Oh at the same time at the same time which is and then getting immediately eliminated by Logan Paul
Logan Paul. Yeah, uh-huh. Oh dude in the aftermath of all that is there that was
Seth lost his mind. He had a double Roman lost his mind. I mean Roman lost his mind on punk
Yeah, he was shouting at him asking like we literally teamed up a month ago is what he kept saying to him. Yeah

(01:15:37):
I'm not yeah. Oh
Brutal
Dude Seth hates Roman Reigns so much
And I love that story. I thought I love the fact that it's been literally been telling a story now for 13 years
Dude, I know right?
Yeah, man, that's incredible. No one you will not if you've if you've never been betrayed by a person you've called a brother

(01:16:02):
Yeah, or an actual brother
You know, I've been shot by my brother. I was shot Christ. Yeah
I was literally shot by my one brother. So I know I know what it's like to be betrayed and you never shoot your brother
Yeah, I mean
Yeah, you know, I mean it was I mean it was laser tag, but it was

(01:16:27):
But you know, but still but still I still hold grudge. I mean I I smash the ultimate betrayal honestly
It is it's the ultimate betrayal
You you never you never shoot your brother. You never shoot your brothers regardless of what kind of gun is
regardless, yeah
gun
real gun
You know laser tag, but yeah

(01:16:49):
But I know but I know that I know that betrayal. I I understand so I could so I feel that like I
I can I can a hundred percent
Because because we lost that because what happened was we lost that man
We lost that laser tag match because of that because of him because of him. Yeah. Yeah, so talk to your brother
I mean, yeah, but but but you know with with disdain and

(01:17:13):
Victory all the time. You're a better man than me. You know
This I see this maybe cm punk sephrod in german reign situation
The only way I can see this resolving itself at this point is a triple threat at russilmania
I feel like they're all three of them are quite intertwined
Although at the same time. I don't know I I almost think

(01:17:36):
We could have sephrod in versus roman reigns at russilmania. We could have
cm punk win the elimination chamber and face
codi roads
Obviously, we've got the john senor situation. I don't know where that leaves john senor. Um, do you see john senor facing codi roads at russilmania?

(01:17:58):
who
I mean, it's a it's a all-time all-star match. It's kind of a passing of the torch kind of match
It it it's that
Oh, it's because it might it might see it. Can I see it? Yes. Can I see it? Yes, of course
Does it does that does it need to happen? I don't I don't even know that it needs to happen. I don't know that

(01:18:24):
Does john senor even need to have a 17?
Championship you watched his promo on the press conference, right? I did I did he gave a whole very different
Very different style promo for him and I do think that like I do think that we're gonna be
The problem I see it with right is with senior right now. He's he's white-hot everyone loves john senor

(01:18:47):
I think the problem you'll have with john senor if he faces codi roads is that you're gonna actually
It's going to be detrimental to codi roads and it's just going to get codi roads booed
And unless that's what you want out of this situation and you want codi to turn heel
I don't know if that's the best situation for you to be in and I also don't know if it's the best situation for

(01:19:08):
codi to defeat
Right, uh, john senor at wrestlemania. It's going to be huge for codi roads, but
Yeah, I think that the crowd's going to be a hundred percent behind john senor at that event
And I don't know if you want that especially at wrestlemania
With a lot of new eyes watching every year. You don't want your biggest star being booed off the screen by

(01:19:28):
someone from the past basically
I I could I could see
Here here's what I here's what I
think
If I had if I had to make a decision
I think I would rather see

(01:19:50):
j usso verse
Codi roads
Well, actually yeah, that was my other that was my other way of going at it. I think you could have j usso versus codi and then john senor versus gunter
And I could see yeah, and then john senor's facing a heel
And john senor's facing a heel gunter. You've got you've got you've got the real you've got real true

(01:20:14):
Not not that it's not that we need to make it a nationalism thing, but like
John senor's more
all american
Yeah, in a sense
In in in a truer sense then codi roads coming out in red white and blue all the time like yeah codi road codi roads is

(01:20:35):
codi roads is
All american propaganda
You know, he's got he's got the alcohol. He's got the alcohol sponsorship
john senor's got the make-a-wishes and he's
You know never turned heel
I think
I just never

(01:20:56):
He needs to face if john senor's facing a straight up heel like good for him to be good through at resummonia. That's no problem
It's like cool. That's no problem. That's a no-brainer and that's nothing and that doesn't and that doesn't one it gives john senor his 17th
Championship and it's the world heavyweight championship
So there's a so one it gives it brings more legitimacy to the world title

(01:21:18):
Yeah, in a way because john senor and it's and it's a title that john senor hasn't actually held
You know, but but
It's not the way I see it going
Now before we get to all this
Can I just say that I nearly shed tears when I watched jay you so win the rumbel?
I did not think in a million years

(01:21:39):
I was asked obviously everyone asks each other before the rumble
Who do you think's going to win the rumble my prediction was c.m. Punk?
That was just who I thought was going to win if you'd asked me who I wanted to win the rumble
My answer would have been jay you so I never would have said he thought he was going to win it because I never thought for a million years
That he would the fact that him and john senor were the last two all I thought in my head that this is going to be a great

(01:22:01):
last two
Little moment here, but john senor ultimately win like he's going to win
He's going to go to resummonia and face the champion go against and then it would have been him against
Whoever whatever, but the fact that jay you so won the fucking rumbel jay you so as you know is my
The last two years running actually my

(01:22:21):
Favorite wrestler of the year in our in our universal top 12. Yep
Consistent consistently number one
He is pretty much been my favorite wrestler for two years straight
He just won the fucking royal rumble and I'm so motherfucking proud of that guy
And it's yeah, what a scene what a fucking scene
I don't even know who I don't even know who any of these people are

(01:22:47):
That supposedly complaining about
Well, this is so I don't even know the I don't even know the not even there can't be real people like
He won the rumble and the place went crazy and everyone was yeeing all over the place
Yeah, and then he'll roar
They literally had to play his music twice because the crowd loved him so much the crowds went if you if you don't if you have a problem

(01:23:08):
With jay usa winning the royal rumble and even even if you have a problem with him potentially going against gunter again
Who we already lost to just just
Don't ever talk to me like stop listening to this podcast
Unfollow unfollow us block me
You know like like it is it there there is just some really really

(01:23:30):
idiotic
People saying stupid
Shit people seem to forget about professional wrestling is like yes, it's wrestling
But there comes a time and like the people come along like it's jay usa the best wrestler is jay usa like a
A daniel bryan or a bret heart no, but he is over

(01:23:53):
Over over as it gets and that's more that's as important if sometimes not more important in professional wrestling
And he sells merchant he sells he sells t-shirts and he sells sunglasses and he's so look at whole code for fuck's sakes
No, that's not
But I mean but yes, but let's but look at look at the character at the time period

(01:24:14):
Yeah
Garbage wrestler hulk hogan can't wrestle like
He there's there's definitely more thing. Well, and that's actually let's be perfectly honest
Hulk hogan the the the person who portrayed the character of hulk hogan
In a wrestling ring actually can do a lot more than he ever did if you if you look at old

(01:24:38):
If you look at awa
old awa stuff of
Yeah, when he was here as well
He there's that dude that dude could that dude could work the ring
But you know what you don't but you don't need to do that
But like
There there is only there's a niche market for people that like that to a degree. Yeah, that's not

(01:25:01):
That's not part of the whole package
And if and if that's the only thing if if your only
qualification of who you think is great is
Some is a level of technical proficiency in the ring and movesets and things like that then I'm sorry man. You're just
You're cheating yourself
You're you're you're cheating you're cheating yourself out of being a gentleman of other things wrestling's been around for such a long time now that we've

(01:25:27):
Surely at this point we've all noticed that it doesn't have to all come down to how good you are in the ring
Jay you're such a perfect example of that that shit bores the fuck out of me after after after five minutes of
arm bars and and lockups and holds and and and
reversals of shit and like
Dude does those matches those matches bore the fuck out of me. I don't

(01:25:50):
They're in a place in a match for those things but and if you dig it, that's your thing
That's your thing
But to say but to say that like to disparage what he has done in getting himself over
He's selling tickets. He's getting he's getting viewers. He's definitely selling fucking merchandise. That's for sure
He's selling merchandise like what do you want? What what what else what else and what does everyone else?

(01:26:15):
I mean
Everyone loves an underlook story and and jay you so is like yeah
He's the and you've got that and everyone's from a guy who
As the tag team guy. Yeah for exactly for a guy who constantly gets
Overlooked under appreciated was always told
No, man. The spotlight isn't for you. You know, you're you're a tag team guy. You're you're you're one half of something

(01:26:42):
You're not you're not the one even worse is he's a twin. There's someone out there that looks like looks all yeah
You know dude that you see those clips, you know
from from a couple of years ago the the
The the early bloodline stuff with him versus roman and him, you know going off about
You know wanting to set himself apart. He used to be you know, they used to get the which one are you?

(01:27:07):
you know
Um, and and you know they they didn't do that no more
No, no, fuck no they are not no, you know
Um, it's it's ridiculous. It's it's it's it's ridiculous
It's really nice to see that behind the scene. We saw that behind the scenes video
I don't know if you've seen it of when jay you so walks through the curtain. Oh, yeah, and jimmy jimmy and jaykub are there

(01:27:30):
Yeah, and it's so nice to see like you know jaykub for two in a pink yeet shirt. Yeah. Well, yeah, what scenes?
Um, but jimmy, you know, I really do wonder like legitimately how jimmy
I'm sure jimmy is so happy and proud of his brother
But it's like it must be really weird for him because it's like you've been

(01:27:52):
At the same level as your brother for your whole career and now suddenly
Your brother is getting all this fame and and and success and you're not it must feel very weird for him
there I
that you know
Competition between siblings is one thing as well competition between twins

(01:28:12):
has to be an entirely like
You know different level exponentially more complicated for sure. Yeah, I can only I can only venture to guess
that he must have
All sorts of feelings and I'm certain that they are going to make a storyline out of that
At some point. Yeah. I mean, yeah, of course, we're gonna get jimmy versus j. Uso at some point again

(01:28:37):
And I think yeah, and I definitely think that's a storyline worth revisiting because
The first time round it was great, but it was I felt like it was a bit rushed and it definitely
Debt with more time. Yeah, and you know what I will say
Jimmy is getting his uh jimmy is getting his own flow
He's got his own he's got his own
Killer theme song just give him some time just give him

(01:28:59):
Yeah, he's got a guess a guy with a new theme that his music hits and I know exactly who it is
Yeah
Yeah, jimmy jimmy's gonna jimmy's gonna cook over there too, man
You know jimmy's gonna
I'm really glad that he's on a different show as well because if they're on the same show
We're in game over and I want to see I want to see jimmy. Uso as united states champion

(01:29:20):
You know, he could he could pull that u.s title
Uh at any point this year. I would say he's he should be
He should be in the mix
Just build jimmy up just the same on the other show and like I would just I would almost like
What I don't I if I was me
I'd build him up as a heel as like you get the whole evil twin situation right and cartoons

(01:29:43):
This is a perfect moment to do that in real life. Have jimmy uso
Just strip himself back of all of the usonus and just come out
as has this
kind of not
generic, but this very non
Uso very non-sumo and looking guy lean into lean into lean into big j

(01:30:05):
You know, yeah, just lean into big j and just you know
Um, I I I could see it. I I could see so much
We we need a whole other episode just to unpack this and we'll and we'll get more into it next week for sure because yeah
We'll have because we'll have we'll have more time next week's episode. I don't even know what we're gonna talk about next week
um

(01:30:26):
We'll probably just talk about
Anything
Yeah, well, there's there's a lot to talk about on the road to rest. We're officially on the rest of usomania. So yeah, man
I mean, what's all right? What's coming up now? I mean, what's coming up next? We've got um
Vengeance day oh that's an nxt next nxt
Next day the elimination chamber is on the first of february

(01:30:50):
Yeah, so so first of first of february first of march
Yeah, so we've got vengeance. We got vengeance day. I think I think that wouldn't be a bad idea
I don't know. We we we don't dig into nxt a lot. We haven't but I think we but I think this year would be a good year to probably
Put some more focus on that because there's so much going on so much good stuff going on there

(01:31:11):
Um, but yeah, we've got the elimination chamber coming up. So we definitely need to do a review review of an old
Elimination chamber. It's been a while since we've done a review review. It has been a yeah
It's been a while we've done a review. We haven't done a review review this year. We didn't do it
We didn't do an old royal rumble. We just we did we unfortunately didn't have time with with uh
Everything going on in january

(01:31:33):
um
Yeah, so what I mean, we've got yeah, we've got that to look forward. We got a review review of elimination chamber
um
Shit. Hey, why don't we do why don't we uh, why don't we pick one right now?
Why don't we go back to the elimination chamber and let's take a look? Um
Let's see we're gonna do elimination chamber events or are we gonna do elimination chamber matches?

(01:31:56):
Oh
That's a good question because the matches go back a lot lot further than the than the uh the uh the uh
The event itself
Because there are 15
Sorry, there are 14 previous elimination chamber events going all the way back to 2010

(01:32:16):
But the elimination chamber
Uh match there have been
Um bear with me
There have been
34
Oh
So I guess let's do it. Let's roll for a 34 because we could go all the way back to

(01:32:38):
2002 here and whatever corresponding event that is maybe we can watch that
Yeah, I like that idea. I like that idea. I like that. I like the idea of because because I like reviewing a whole event other than just
Just uh individual match
All right, so maybe um
Oh, shit. I gotta find I gotta get some dice. Hold on. Oh, I'm unprepared. I gotta

(01:32:59):
Yeah, I've got no dice anywhere near me. So this this is all up to you 34 is what we need to roll
Oh, here they are
All right, so what we've got 34. How did we figure?

(01:33:20):
We figured this out. We figured out a way to do it with weird numbers
Yeah
There's 34 options. So we need to be able to
So, let's see
We can't and when we when we use multiple dice, we can never get
Ones so we have to so we have to subtract

(01:33:41):
So for us to get I'll tell you what I'll tell you what we will do
Here's roll. So the 34th and 33rd
Elimination chamber matches happened last year and we don't want to do them because we've literally already reviewed them last year on this podcast
That's so
So
Roll for 32
So roll for 32

(01:34:03):
which means
Uh
D 20 and a d 10 well, that's
A d 20 d 10 would give me
30 uh, that's only that's only
That's only the potential of 19 or that's only the potential of 29
options

(01:34:24):
How about you roll two d 20s?
and
Oh, wait a second
I got an idea
All right, a deets a d 20 and a d 12
gets us 32
Yeah
now if we

(01:34:45):
That that eliminates the ability for a one
Yeah, but that's okay because oh no, it's not. Yeah, that does eliminate the possibility for a one for a number
That eliminates the possibility for how do we how do we add an additional one to that?
Let's let me hold on. Let's there's there's gonna be a way
Hold up. Wait a second 30. We need we need to come up

(01:35:08):
We need to come up with 32
options, right
The ability to have 32 options with a multiple of dice that eliminates the ones
So if we have four dice, let's see if I can let's see if I can make this happen
D 12 2d 12s gives us 24

(01:35:32):
Yeah, here we go. I think I got it two d 12s and a d 10
Because this gives us because this gives us 34
And then but the but the lowest number is three
Yeah, so we might have so so subtracting two to get one gives us 32. We've got it. See

(01:35:53):
2d 2d 12 plus d 10 plus 1d 10
This is for for anyone for anyone if this is if this is your first time listening to the podcast
I doubt it. I doubt it's anyone's first time listening to this podcast
If we've only got but if it is if by chance, this is your first
We're also dnd nerds

(01:36:14):
So we like to add dice into our
picking of
things so all right, so we've got
and we like and we also like to make it
overly complicated because
adhd
And you know and whatever you want to call because because we're freaking weirdos
Um, all right 2d 10 2d 12 plus 1d 10

(01:36:39):
This this roll goes out to mark
Captain mark our old dm shout out to captain mark in a boolett club
Uh, Justin and nitro
Um, all right, here we go. I'm just hear that wait, is it possible to roll lower than a 10 here?
Sure we get ones

(01:37:04):
Oh, yeah, right. Yeah, we can go ahead. I'm being an idiot. Go ahead. Keep rolling three. Okay
Oh that one fell on the floor
Well, we we got one one
We got a two and a four so we've got under 10. We've got eight
No, that's no that's seven
One two and four is seven

(01:37:25):
Cool, so we are watching no way out
2008
Holy, all right
Um, I will really quickly though because I am now living in the next flick netflix era
I need to double check. Oh, I have the ability to watch that match. Yeah, what are we doing? Sorry? Yeah, I don't even know how

(01:37:47):
Um, maybe make sure I can maybe peacock has it
Hold on. Hold on. I got it. I got it. You should have it. No problem
Uh, 2000
No way out 2008
Did you say yeah, you will not believe this
I've got 998 2000 2001 2002 2004 2005 and then it goes straight to 2009

(01:38:13):
Oh shit, really?
Yeah, they haven't uploaded that event yet. So
Well
Well, let's
All right, let's find or
Or maybe there's an alternate way
Of viewing it
Uh, probably not it's gonna be really hard to find an old event

(01:38:36):
Hmm
That's a good event too
We have Kane versus Shelton Benjamin Chavo Guerrero versus CM Punk for the ECW championship
Um
All right, well, you know what you've said you have 2009 right?
Uh, I've got 2009. Yeah. Okay. Well that four became that four just became a five

(01:39:02):
Because we can we can rewrite. I you know, I just looked at it again and realized that four was not a four that four is five
So here we are 2009
2009
2009
We can do whatever we want. We can do whatever we want. It's our podcast 2009. So we've got uh,

(01:39:24):
Melina versus a dark match with triple H versus the under the undertaker versus edge versus Jeff Hardy versus big show versus Vladimir Kosloff
For the WB championship WB championship. Oh, there was two elimination chamber matches
That's right. We got Shane McMahon versus
Oh, shit. I know which one this is
We know which one this is

(01:39:45):
We do right
Is this isn't this the one?
Wait a second edge Jeff Hardy
Is this the one
Where
Where what yeah, yeah, look at look at the match triple H versus undertaker edge

(01:40:08):
Jeff Hardy big show and Vladimir Kosloff
and then the other one is
Edge Raymond Stereo. This is this is the one where edge loses his championship in the first elimination chamber
And then beats up kofi Kingston
On his way in and takes his spot and wins the second elimination chamber match. I mean, okay

(01:40:28):
I mean, you know spoilers, but you know this happened. Hey, this is 2009. It's not like it's not like yeah
So we were around you. Yeah, I'm glad. I'm so glad we I'm so glad we cheated that four became a five
Uh, jack swagger versus finley for the ECW championship and sure michael's versus
uh
JBL for a in in a all-or-nothing singles match

(01:40:53):
All or nothing. Oh, yeah if if
JBL wins
He has to be the permanent sure michael's has to be the permanent employee of JBL
If sure michael's wins he is released from his employment with JBL. Yeah, we story line
That's a story line that well. Yeah, we'll probably have to
um never remember well

(01:41:14):
The third uh, the fourth match was an all-or-nothing match between Shawn Michaels and John
where
um, yeah, they don't really
Tell you I'm sure I'm sure there'll be a package that
Uh, they will explain that
Oh, here we go another rivalry from raw brand heading it in the way out was between Shawn muggles and John brash all layfield jbl
at WWE's December pay-per-view armageddon

(01:41:36):
michael's was engaged in a narrative in which he announced that he was in need of money to support his family
And hence had agreed to work for JBL sure michael's was in need of money
Yeah, I mean this is 2009 jbl began using michael's to help him become the world heavyweight champion
But all of michael's efforts failed

(01:41:57):
On february 2009 episode of raw jbl challenged michael's to a match at no way out
Stipulating that should michael's win he he would win
He would be freed from jbl's employment with all of the money jbl had promised him
But if michael's lost jbl would have gained ownership of michael's name and likeness

(01:42:18):
So he was going to take he was going to take his intellectual property
Like he would own this is I mean this is this is peak. This is peak like jbl
Uh, entrepreneur oil tycoon giant hat like like i'm going to own sure michael. Yeah, this is this is literally
I mean the storylines of are of the time and it was a weird time in 2009 too

(01:42:45):
It's like it's a weird time everywhere
Uh professional wrestling is a mirror of society. We know this
Um, how about some shout outs? This is a long yeah, man. Holy shit. Yeah, let's uh, let's wrap this up
