· Autor, perfilador, analista de casos, testigo experto en cuestiones relacionadas con incendios provocados y bombas. Es especialista en Análisis y Revisión de Escenas de Muerte por Incendio.
· También, es un investigador retirado, técnico y detective de bombas, y perfilador de incendios para el Departamento del Sheriff de Los Ángeles.
· Fue detective de 1990 a 2019 y estuvo en el Departamento de Incendios/Explosivos desde 1997. Antes de eso, fue detective de narcóticos y detective especializado en robos, asaltos, fraude y robo de automóviles.
· Especializa en análisis de escenas de muerte por incendio e investigaciones de incendios provocados en serie.
· Ex marine estadounidense de 1979 a 1991 y alcanzó el rango de Capitán. Fue asignado como oficial de artillería, especialista en armas nucleares y en un equipo de lucha contra el terrorismo.
· Ha sido nombrado Investigador Internacional de Incendios Incendiarios del Año y Oficial de Aplicación de la Ley del Año por su trabajo en investigaciones de incendios provocados.
