Welcome to 2019, Puppet Tears friends! For this first episode of the year, we're talking to David Stephens -- the much-esteemed puppeteer and founder of All Hands Productions. A graduate of the University of Connecticut's MFA in Puppetry program, David talks about his years as a puppeteer from his earliest days growing up in Alabama, to working with Sesame Street and Jim Henson's Emmet Otter stage musical, and mounting an impressive roster of one-man shows.
Join us for an in-depth conversation with David, where we discuss how he creates his shows, makes it as a self-employed puppeteer, and what it was like working with some of his puppetry heroes. We can't think of a better way to start off this new season of puppetry shop talks -- enjoy!

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
