(00:01):
Hello, this is PastorChristine Desiree.
And today I'm going to besharing with you three strategies
you can use to help beat stagnation.
Three strategies you can usein your life to help you beat stagnation.
The first thing you want to door the first thing I did when I was

(00:21):
in that place of complacencyand in stagnation, the first thing
I did was set clear andrealistic goals.
I want you to imagine for aminute if you try to hit a target
with your eyes closed.
Just imagine closing your eyesand then trying to hit a target with
your eyes closed.

(00:42):
Well, you know, that's not aneasy thing to do.
You can't do it.
You can't hit your target withyour eyes closed.
The same goes for life.
If you don't know what you'reaiming for, you're likely to miss.
You're gonna miss.
So the first step is to setclear and realistic goals.

(01:05):
And what I mean by realistic, sometimes we have some goals out
there.
For example, losing weight, and we set these huge, unrealistic
goals.
I want to lose £50 in one month.
That's not a realistic goal.
So we need to set realisticgoals, goals that we know that we

(01:26):
can attain, and clear goals.
So you got to think about, what do you want?
Do you want a healthier lifestyle?
Do you want to change your diet?
Your eating plan?
Do you want a promotion?
And at work, do you want acleaner house?
Do you want to lose weight?
And it goes on from there.
Do you want to start a new business?

(01:46):
Well, write it down.
Make a list of what you wantand make it clear.
And then add a time frame to it.
Put a time frame.
When I write out my goals forthe year, I always put a time frame
or a date that I want thatgoal to be completed by.
So write it down.
Make a list, make it clear, but also make it realistic.

(02:11):
And then add a time frame.
At what date, what time do Iwant this goal to be achieved?
Number two.
Visualize what you want.
Visualize your success.
I want you to close your eyesand picture your success.
See yourself reaching your goals.

(02:32):
Picture yourself reaching your goals.
What does that look like?
How does it feel?
Visualization, you know, vision.
It's a powerful tool.
Visualization itself is apowerful tool.
It's like this movie beingplayed over and over in your mind.
But this time, the movie hasto do with you.
And it's for your future.
It's for your future success.

(02:52):
So you've got to see it,you've got to believe it, and then
you step out and do it.
But it starts with seeing it.
You have to see it.
Number three, plot your course.
Once you've got yourdestination, once you know what you're
doing, once you have made alist of your goals and they're realistic

(03:15):
and you can see them, you needa road map.
And this is your plan of action.
So this is when you break downyour goals into small, bite sized
pieces.
I want you to think about abig, a large cake.
I know there's nobody outthere that has eaten the whole cake
with one bite.
It's impossible.
You cannot eat a entire cakewith one bite.

(03:38):
It's impossible.
You have to break it down intosmall bite sizes.
You have to break it down intosmall pieces to eat it.
Okay, so.
And that's the same thing withour goals.
Our goals need to be manageable.
That's safer and healthier for you.
My father used to say to usgrowing up, the Lord has something

(04:00):
big for you, but he has tobreak it down into smaller sizes,
into bite sizes in order togive it to you because you can't
handle the big yet.
So that's the thing.
You have to break it down intosmaller sizes.
So take your goals.
Break them down into small, simple steps that you are confident
that you can achieve.
That's the key.

(04:21):
Break them down into small, achievable steps that you know that
you can reach.
For me, when I write up mygoals, I have action steps to completing
those goals.
And then when I complete thoseaction steps, I cross them out and
then I go on to the next goaland the next action step.
So it really helps in theprocess of me completing my goals.
