PCHS Sophomore Student Government Council. This is season 4 episode 9 of the Putnam Proud Podcast.
The Class of 2027 Student Government Council is poised for excellence as they begin the year with a new team of officers and members eager to make a difference. Their enthusiasm was evident in their first major philanthropy event, a supply drive for the victims of Hurricane Helene. The drive was a resounding success, collecting over 100 cases of water, gas cans, diapers, pipes, and non-perishable food items. In addition to their philanthropic efforts, the officers engaged in valuable learning experiences at the Putnam County Courthouse and the Georgia State Capitol. These visits provided them with insights into the workings of local and state government. Looking ahead, the Class of 2027 is planning an exciting trip to Washington, D.C. this spring, promising more opportunities for growth and learning. The future looks bright for these dedicated students as they continue to make a positive impact in their community. Please contact sponsors Mrs. April Smith, Mrs. Kim Schell or Lieutenant Colonel Adkinson for more information. Thanks for listening. Please take a minute to share with your friends, family, and colleagues.
