Stepping Up: The Heart and Sole of Shoes 4 Kids   Shoes 4 Kids is a signature project for the Putnam and Green County Rotary Club. This initiative enables the club to supply 120 children with a brand-new pair of shoes, a backpack, and a pair of socks for students in Putnam and Greene Counties. For some of these kids, this will be their very first pair of new shoes, making it a truly impactful experience. By meeting these essential needs, you can enhance their learning opportunities.   This project not only fulfills a practical need but also boosts the children's confidence and self-esteem, knowing they have the necessary resources to participate fully in school activities. Furthermore, Shoes 4 Kids aligns with the Rotary Club's broader mission of service and community support, fostering a sense of care and solidarity among local residents. The impact of this initiative reaches beyond the immediate recipients, as it inspires others in the community to contribute and support similar causes.   Each year, volunteers come together to make this event a success, from fundraising efforts to organizing distribution days. This collaboration not only strengthens community bonds but also provides an opportunity for members to engage in meaningful service. As these children step into their new shoes, they carry with them not just a tangible gift, but the knowledge that their community supports and believes in their potential.   Thanks for listening.
