Our host, Dr. Millicent Burke-Sinclair, Ed.D, sits down with Emily Stamey, Regional Director of Palliative Care at Four Seasons, to discuss what Palliative Care is and how it's different from Pain Management.
Emily Stamey has been a palliative care nurse practitioner at Four Seasons since 2020. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. Emily serves patients in our Western most counties and works as the regional director of the West palliative care team. She began as a nurse in 2010. She started her nurse practitioner career in primary care before joining the palliative care specialty. Emily is passionate about patient centered care and helping patients meet their own goals of care. Emily lives with her husband Chris in Franklin, NC. She enjoys spending time with her family who also live in that area, and hiking on our local trails.
