Welcome to GERMANY!

This country will be divided into two sessions: Riesling and… not Riesling :)

 

This week… RIESLING! Did you know, 40% of the worldsRiesling is grown in Germany?!

 

We talk about the various classifications systems that make German wine so confusing, and break down the sweetness levels we see on German Riesling bottles.

 

We explore three regions known for their Riesling production: the slope-y and cold Mosel, the warmer (relatively… its still cold…) Rheingau, and the copious (relatively… its still not that much) Rheinhessen.

 

In conclusion, we love Riesling from Germany! (but we knew that)

 

In therapy this week, we discuss Dan's dysthymia / persistent low level depression and get into why its so hard for him to self-affirm. We then have a good long chat about what it means to affirm ourselves, and how to speak to ourselves more kindly.
